Robert Mueller Is Planning Something Big For Trump’s Impeachment

Robert Mueller spent months laying in the weeds.

The special counsel went dark during the fall because of the midterm election.

But now he’s about to launch his end game to impeach Donald Trump.

Webmaster's Commentary:

BULL BISCUITS! If Mueller had anything, he would have moved by now.

The Economy Does Not Care Who Won The Midterm Elections

Economic function and repair are far beyond the scope of any political body to fix when the dysfunction reaches the point we are at today. To believe otherwise is foolhardy. To believe that the political elites actually want to fix the economy is even more foolhardy. The answer is not replacing one set of political puppets with another set of political puppets, but for regular people to begin localizing their own production and trade — to decouple from dependency on the existing system and start their own system. Only through this, and the removal of the globalist tumor from its position of power and influence, will anything ever change for the better.

Dennis Hof, Dead Brothel Owner, Wins in Nevada Race

A Nevada brothel owner who died in October has won the state’s Assembly District 36 race, according to the Nevada Independent. Dennis Hof managed to posthumously defeat Democratic newcomer Lesia Romanov in the largely Republican rural district that covers Pahrump, his hometown. His win has now sparked a complicated electoral procedure that requires every county commission in the district to nominate a candidate to fill the seat before the chairmen of those commissions take part in a vote on the matter. Thousands of voters in Hof’s hometown outside Las Vegas had reportedly announced their intention to vote for him ahead of the election, with his former campaign manager, Chuck Muth, comparing Hof’s popularity to “Moses.” Signs were posted throughout polling places informing voters that Hof, who’d announced his run months before his death, was no longer among the living. But Republicans in the state had urged voters to support him anyway to prevent the seat from falling to a Democrat.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You've just got to love Nevada politics!!

IDIOCRACY IS REAL: MULTIPLE LAWMAKERS RE-ELECTED DESPITE FACING CORRUPTION AND CRIMINAL CHARGES

US voters re-elect lawmakers facing criminal indictments & corruption charges, because why not?

Embarrassing social media photos could easily sink a congressional campaign, but several lawmakers have shown that you can be charged with corruption and embezzlement and still win re-election.
American voters took partisan politics to a whole new level on Tuesday, after Republican congressmen Duncan Hunter and Chris Collins – both of whom face federal indictments for crimes including embezzlement and securities fraud – won re-election. As long as the Democrats don’t win, right?

Another big takeaway tonight: Being under federal indictment is no bar to winning re-election! Just ask Chris Collins and Duncan Hunter. #Midterms2018

— Ben White (@morningmoneyben) November 7, 2018
Hunter, a five-term congressman from California, was charged along with his wife in August of misusing campaign funds totaling more than $250,000.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All I can think of, is the marvelous one-liner by the comedian Ron White: "You can't fix stupid!"

The intellectual acumen of people who continue to vote for liars, thieves, and monsters, indicates to me that they have chosen precisely the reflection of their own deficits they want to see in in office.

FLASHBACK: Here’s What Acting AG Matthew Whitaker Thinks of Rosenstein and the Mueller Investigation

In August of 2017, Matthew Whitaker penned an op-ed for CNN titled, “Mueller’s Investigation of Trump is Going Too Far” wherein he argued the Special Counsel is roving outside of his jurisdiction to investigate Trump-Russia collusion:

According to a CNN article, Mueller’s investigators could be looking into financial records relating to the Trump Organization that are unrelated to the 2016 election. According to these reports, “sources described an investigation that has widened to focus on possible financial crimes, some unconnected to the 2016 election.” The piece goes on to cite law enforcement sources who say non-Russia-related leads that “involve Trump associates” are being referred to the special counsel “to encourage subjects of the investigation to cooperate.”

Fearmongering looks set to trump federal indictment in California congressional race

A fascinating political battle is playing out this week in California, pitting one candidate who has been indicted for misusing hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign funds, against another whose grandfather was involved in the 1972 Munich Olympic massacre of Israeli athletes.

Republican Congressman Duncan D Hunter is running for re-election in the 50th California congressional district, which includes San Diego. Normally, he wouldn’t have a problem. His father, Duncan L Hunter, held the seat for 28 years before the son was elected in his place in 2009. Voters there have been voting for and electing a “Duncan Hunter” and a Republican since 1981. However, that’s not deterring his Democratic challenger, Ammar Campa-Najjar, an American with Palestinian- and Mexican-American parents.

Scott Walker Finally Lost

Wisconsin is ready to move on from the Scott Walker era. The Associated Press and Politico are projecting that the state’s Republican governor has lost his reelection, with Democrat Tony Evers set to become Wisconsin’s next top official. This was Walker’s fourth campaign for governor. He first won in 2010, survived a recall election in 2012, and won a second full term in 2014.

Democratic midterms win: Good for Iran, bad for Israel?

If the Democrats regain control of at least one house of Congress, they would make it harder for Trump to govern and could block further moves he wishes to take against Tehran. For Israel, a Democratic victory could undermine the Trump administration's pressure on the Islamic Republic and pro-Israeli moves.

Pelosi Wants Dems Ready to "Throw a Punch"

Democrats apparently have already forgotten about that whole de-escalating the violent political rhetoric thing. House Minority Queen Bee Nancy Pelosi said her party mates should be ready to "throw a punch" during an Oct. 28 interview with podcaster Jonathan Van Ness. "We are not them," Pelosi said. "We do not act the way they do. But I do think when you are in the area and somebody throws a punch, you've got to be ready [to] take a punch and throw a punch." So much for "uniting" the country and "bringing people together" if Democrats win.

Dennis Hof, deceased brothel owner, wins Nevada Assembly race

Democrat Lesia Romanov was the only candidate with a pulse in the race for Assembly District 36, but apparently that wasn’t enough to defeat deceased brothel owner Dennis Hof.

Based on partial returns late Tuesday night, it appeared voters in the rural, heavily Republican district chose to elect someone no longer living rather than let the seat turn blue.

Dems to flex muscle with new House majority: Subpoenas, investigations, even possible impeachment talks loom

From the GOP’s gains in the Senate to Nancy Pelosi’s vindication, here’s a look at some of the newsworthy wins of the 2018 midterm election.

The incoming Democratic majority in the House of Representatives has the power to open a slew of investigations into the White House and President Trump when the new Congress is seated in January, and early indications are that Democrats plan to aggressively take advantage of their new authority.

Bogging down the Trump administration with burdensome document requests and subpoenas could backfire, political analysts tell Fox News, but there is little doubt that the strategy -- made more viable by heightened partisanship and loosened congressional norms -- would impair Republicans' messaging and even policy goals for the next two years.

Florida’s Senate Race Is Headed Into a Recount

Florida’s Senate race seems to be heading to a recount, barring any drastic twists. Republican Rick Scott is up about 35,000 votes on incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson. While a solid lead, that’s still less than 0.5 percent, the margin threshold that automatically triggers a recount under Florida law.

Scott had already declared victory overnight, unlike two other senatorial candidates currently ahead in too-close-to-call races: Martha McSally in Arizona and Matt Rosendale in Montana. An adviser for Bill Nelson said Scott was the likely winner Tuesday night as well, but the campaign said Wednesday morning after results narrowed that it would request a recount.

Divide and Conquer

I am not even remotely a Trump supporter, but I do think that he has managed to expose the spectrum of western political morbidity, both left and right. Trump is the ultimate Post Political icon -- the symptom as well as the disease.

For the last four decades, the West has been subjected to an intense cultural and social revolution. The cause of ‘social justice’ has made some fundamental changes in western society. Elementary rights, such as the freedom to think openly, have been eradicated and replaced by a strict regime of correctness. In retrospect, it was reasonable to believe that there was little significant resistance to these social justice heroes. During that time, it seemed that their agenda had prevailed. Just five years ago it looked as if the Tyranny of Correctness was here to stay. But then, unexpectedly, the tide changed.

Wild-eyed, math-deficient, socialist becomes youngest woman ever elected to Congress.

This one was inevitable, but it stings nonetheless. Despite her constant inability to explain how she’ll pay for her schemes, New York has elected wild-eyed socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to the House of Representatives.

Ocasio-Cortez is a well-known gaffe machine who calls herself a “Democratic Socialist.” That means she agrees with everything hardcore socialists think, but she’s just smart enough to realize that the “S-word” is electoral poison. So, she’s couched her beliefs in something ever so slightly more appetizing.

She will, most likely, take over for Nancy Pelosi as the young fresh face of the foot-in-mouth wing of the Democrat party.

In the letter, Sessions ticked off a list of accomplishments.

Former Deputy AG Joins Goldman Legal Team As 1MDB Criminal Charges Loom

With federal prosecutors finally handing down indictments in the long-running 1MDB probe, the Vampire Squid is lawyering up. And in typical Goldman fashion, the investment bank is hiring only the best, most politically-connected defense attorneys to join its legal team.

As the DOJ was preparing to file the first batch of federal charges against two former Goldman employees accused of conspiring to steal money and violate foreign anti-bribery laws, the investment bank retained Mark Filip, a prominent defense attorney and former deputy attorney general who was once the boss of the DOJ's head of criminal investigations. For those who are unfamiliar with the DOJ's depth chart, that's the division tasked with overseeing the case against the two former Goldman managing directors, a case that the bank warned could lead to criminal charges against senior employees, or maybe even the bank itself.

Stacey Abrams refuses to concede Georgia governor's race, hoping for runoff

Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams is not conceding the Georgia governor's race to Republican candidate Brian Kemp, arguing that the high stakes contest is too close to call with the possibility of a runoff next month.

Kemp is currently ahead of Abrams by nearly 68,000 votes with 99% of precincts reporting, according to CNN election results. But he only has 50.4% of the vote. If neither candidate receives 50%, there will be a runoff in early December.

"I'm here tonight to tell you votes remain to be counted. There's voices that are waiting to be heard," Abrams, who would be the nation's first black female governor, told supporters early Wednesday morning gathered in Atlanta.
Kemp told supporters he is confident of his victory.

"There are votes left to count. But we have a very strong lead. And folks, make no mistake, the math is on our side to win this election," he said.

‘2 can play that game’: Trump threatens Senate probes into Dems, as House investigations loom

Donald Trump threatened the Democrats with Senate probes into alleged leaks of “classified information,” while the party that has just taken over the House vows to hold the president “accountable.”
Trump warned the Democrats against “wasting” taxpayer money on House investigations into his administration, issuing a thinly-veiled threat on Twitter.

“If the Democrats think they are going to waste Taxpayer Money investigating us at the House level, then we will likewise be forced to consider investigating them for all of the leaks of Classified Information, and much else, at the Senate level. Two can play that game!” Trump tweeted. The president stopped short of naming the exact leaks he meant.

Stephen Colbert on Democrats retaking control of the House: 'They can now open investigations into the President'

"Late Show" host Stephen Colbert used his opening monologue Tuesday evening to discuss the midterm elections, including how Democrats reclaimed control of the House of Representatives after eight years out of power.

"That’s the first news of the evening…they can now open investigations into the President and we can finally find out if Donald Trump has ever done anything unethical,” Colbert, 54, stated according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Per the outlet, the late-night host also brought up how Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, won a second term on Tuesday defeating Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke.

"By not being Ted Cruz, Beto is still a winner," Colbert said.

FBI clears Michael Flynn in probe linking him to Russia

The FBI has reviewed intercepted phone calls between national security adviser Michael Flynn and the Russian ambassador to the US and has found no evidence of wrongdoing, it was revealed Monday.

The calls were made in late December and picked up as part of routine electronic surveillance of Russian officials. They did not reveal any illicit ties between Flynn and Russia, according to the Washington Post.

The review of the calls was part of a wider probe into Russia’s interference in the presidential election and hacking of the Democratic National Committee.

DeSantis wins Florida governor’s race; Gillum concedes

In one of the closest (and most closely-watched) races of the 2018 election, Republican representative Ron DeSantis has edged out Andrew Gillum to become Governor of Florida. He won with 49.9 percent of the vote.

Andrew Gillum was poised to become the first black governor in Florida’s history. The Tallahassee mayor won his primary on a progressive platform but has drifted toward the center in the runup to the general election, posing with establishment figures like Cory Booker (D-NJ) and former President Barack Obama.

Ron DeSantis, a three-term Republican congressman, survived the shooting attack on a congressional baseball game last year that wounded his fellow Congressman Steve Scalise. He has benefited from the support of President Trump, who has held multiple rallies to back his campaign, and current governor Rick Scott.

12 Examples That Show That America Is Far More Messed Up Than When You Were A Kid

What in the world has happened to our country? Most of us have very fond memories from when we were younger, and it is true that often our memories of “the good old days” can leave out the bad parts. None of us are perfect individually, and America has certainly never been without major problems as a nation. But have we ever witnessed the level of social decay that we are seeing around the country today? We are like a divorced, bloated, drug-addicted middle age man that has seen his life completely fall apart, and it would be nice to believe that we have hit rock bottom, but the truth is that we just keep on sinking even lower. The following are 12 examples that show that America is far more messed up than when you were a kid…

Michael’s Anticipated Contributions to Florida’s Existing Homeless Population

I could write a very long blog post about Florida’s ongoing economic problems. I lived quite a few years in that state[mostly in the Panhandle] and several others in the South. One thing is for sure, Florida began its multi-year economic decline shortly after the credit crisis in 2007. Ever since that time there’s been so many businesses which have laid people off or closed entirely over the last 11 or so years. This has resulted in so many people being thrown out of work. Many unemployed people in Florida have gone several years or more without working a real job...

Now That America Has Given The Crazies Control Of The House, They Plan To Hit Trump With A Wave Of Subpoenas

This is a very dark moment in American history. On November 6th, the American people gave the keys to the U.S. House of Representatives to the Democrats, and that means that the crazies will soon be unleashed on Capitol Hill. They won’t be able to get much legislation pushed through because Republicans still control the Senate and Donald Trump is still in the White House, but they will be able to cause all sorts of chaos with their investigative powers. If you thought that things were bad the last two years, just wait, because you haven’t seen anything yet. Top Democrats are already talking about hitting Trump with a huge wave of subpoenas, and the White House is bracing for the worst. It is going to be a time of bitter partisan wrangling in Washington, and meanwhile the nation as a whole is going to continue to fall apart.

Selling Illusions and the Dark Side of Politics

‘They came in the same old way’: In the midterms, echoes of 2016

What they did not realize then, and do not appear to realize even now, is that their tried-and-tested tricks simply didn’t work against Trump, who is not a professional politician and doesn’t react like one. Love him or hate him, agree with his policies or not, this is a fact. Rather than recognize that fact and deal with it accordingly, Trump’s critics just stuffed more wool into their ears and continued screaming “RACIST,” as if that invocation was somehow magical.

It is this sort of magical thinking that doomed the Democrats in 2016. It wasn’t just bad data, or a terrible job interpreting it, but the fact that both the media and the Clinton campaign wanted to believe their own hype. Instead of reporting reality, the media thought they could create it. So they pretended the railroading of Bernie Sanders did not happen, and confidently predicted Clinton would crush Trump. Then came the night of November 8 and the shocked, stunned long faces in TV studios and at the Javits Center.

Masquerading Reforms: The Tricks of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

The surgical dismembering of Jamal Khashoggi has sent the military establishments of several countries into a tizz. Arms manufacturers are wondering whether this is an inconvenient blip, a ruffling moral reminder about what they are dealing with. Autocratic regimes indifferent to the lives of journalists are wondering whether the fuss taken about all this is merely the fuss endured, till the next bloody suppression. But importantly, those states notionally constituting the West may have to reconsider the duping strategy that the House of Saud has executed with the deft efficiency of the dedicated axeman.

Webmaster's Commentary:

My sense of this is, that the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, will be allowed to stand, and never charged for this crime; this is because the US and the UK do not want to give up all that revenue for their weapons which they have sold to Saudi Arabia for his use in the creating the expanding genocide in Yemen.

Additionally, Israel is siding with Saudi Arabia against Iran, so one can see how this is sorting out, in terms of who will be aligned with whom in the next coming regional war.

Some poor underschmuck will be blamed, and punished, and just like magic, the Butcher of Yemen will have been wiped clean of his deeds, with an extra dose of corporate sales-bleach added to the last spin cycle.

But I would gently suggest that when people in power start to mingle with sociopaths in power with malicious intent, that malicious intent rubs off, and becomes a justification for that person to start materializing, and executing, some malicious intent of their own, which will most probably not be to the benefit of the country over which they are leaders.

It very deeply concerns me that President Trump's BFFs in the Middle East, are the Butcher of Yemen,Crown prince bin Salman, and the Butcher of Gaza, Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu.
