ADC’s Statement on the Occupied Syrian Golan Heights

The unprecedented decision by the Trump Administration to formally recognize Israel’s unjust claim to the occupied Syrian Golan Heights is troubling, deeply concerning, and goes against international law. President Trump declared via twitter on March 21, 2019, that this policy shift, “is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability!” This irresponsible and unilateral decision contradicts thirty years of established U.S. policy.

To date, no country recognizes Israel’s claim over the occupied Syrian Golan Heights. In 1967, Israel acquired the Syrian Golan Heights by force, and fully annexing the territory in 1981.>>>

Bishop Richard Williamson's latest on the holohoax

On January 31 last, the European Court of Human Rights announced its long-awaited decision to reject the appeal of the author of these “Comments” against his almost unanimous condemnation by seven different courts of law in Germany over several years for the “crime” by German law, of questioning on German soil in November of 2008 whether Six Million people really were gassed under the Third Reich... Now let us look at laws and courts which punish any questioning of the notorious murder of Six Million victims in World War II. Was it a historical fact, or not? If it was true, then to question it can be bad if the damage done is bad enough, but if the murder never took place, then it is in accordance with truth to call it in question, and not only is it not bad, it is positively good, to call it in question.

US Secretary of State says Trump sent by God to save Israel from Iran

In a bizarre interview, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has suggested that US President Donald Trump was sent by God to save Israel from Iran.

During his visit to Israel on Thursday, Pompeo gave an exclusive interview to the Christian Broadcasting Network, described as “part policy, part politics, and part spiritual”.

Asked whether or not President Trump was a modern day equivalent to biblical figure Queen Esther, who persuaded the King of Persia not to murder the Jews, Pompeo said that he was “confident” the Lord was at work.

Jordan Peterson Slams Cambridge 'Not Giving Damn About Decline of Christianity'

Earlier this week, the faculty of divinity at Britain's prestigious University of Cambridge mysteriously withdrew its fellowship offer to the Canadian academic pop icon, who was scheduled to join the school for a series of lectures on the Bible later this year.

Peterson, a clinical psychologist and self-described "professor against political correctness" who came to global prominence for his opposition to the use of preferred gender pronouns on free speech grounds, and who is known for his harsh criticism of social justice warriors and radical feminism, harshly slammed Cambridge over its decision to rescind his fellowship offer in a lengthy appeal.

UK Denies Asylum To Christian Convert From Iran Because "Christianity Is Not Peaceful"

The UK has denied asylum to an Iranian man because he said on his application that he converted from Islam to the "peaceful" religion of Christianity, according to The Independent.

The Home Office quoted excerpts from the bible in the man's rejection letter - saying the book of Revelations is "filled with imagery of revenge, destruction, death and violence," and concluded that "These examples are inconsistent with your claim that you converted to Christianity after discovering it is a ‘peaceful’ religion, as opposed to Islam which contains violence, rage and revenge."

Catholic priest accused of groping woman during last rites

A Roman Catholic priest has been arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge after he was accused of groping a woman in home hospice care while giving her last rites.

The Rev. Gerold Langsch, of Austin, was arrested Thursday and charged with assault by contact stemming from the Oct. 5 encounter. The 75-year-old priest is free on $15,000 bond. If convicted, he could be sentenced to a year in jail and fined up to $4,000.

Police contend in the arrest affidavit that the woman was in hospice care for complications from diabetes when Lansch went to her home to administer the sacrament of anointing the sick, a sacrament of absolution. The woman, who is still alive, reported that Langsch first anointed her chest with holy water, then began to apply lotion, massaging a breast, pinching a nipple and asking "Does that feel good?" He then tried to slip his hand inside her diaper but was unable to.

Report: Christian Persecution in India Jumps by 57% in 2019

Hate crimes and targeted violence against Christians in India during the first two months of 2019 showed a jump of 57 percent over the same period in 2018, a new report revealed.

During January and February, 77 incidents of “hate and targeted violence against Christians” were documented in India as compared with the 49 cases recorded during the same period last year, according to the Religious Liberty Commission of the Evangelical Fellowship of India (EFI).

The EFI report said that the official figures are invariably low, because most cases of persecution go unreported, either because the victim and witnesses are too frightened to speak out, or because the police ignore the harassment and fail to file mandatory First Information Reports.

10 MORE CHRISTIANS KILLED LAST WEEKEND IN NIGERIA BRINGING TOTAL TO 140, MEDIA STILL SILENT

Another 10 Christians were killed by jihadists in Nigeria last weekend, bringing the total number of Christians killed in the country to 140 since February 10.

Reports indicate that another 10 Christians were murdered in Nigeria on Saturday, March 16, as religious violence in the country continues to reach fever pitch. This brings the total number of Christians murdered to 140, with an additional 160 homes destroyed in the violence.

Morning Star News reported:

KARADZIC SENTENCE INCREASED TO LIFE FOR BOSNIA GENOCIDE: UN

United Nations judges have ordered former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic to spend the rest of his life in prison for genocide and war crimes, increasing his original sentence of 40 years.

Karadzic, 73, was convicted in 2016 for the July 1995 Srebrenica massacre of more than 8,000 Muslim men and boys by Bosnian Serb forces. He was also found guilty of leading a campaign of ethnic cleansing that drove Croats and Muslims out of Serb-claimed areas of Bosnia.

A panel of appeals judges in The Hague "imposes a sentence of life imprisonment" after rejecting Karadzic's appeal against his original 2016 conviction, head judge Vagn Joensen said on Wednesday.

Judges at the original trial "underestimated the extreme gravity of Karadzic's responsibility for the most grave crimes committed during the period of conflict, noted for their sheer scale and systematic cruelty", Vagn Joensen said.

Top US General Denies Plans to Leave 1,000 Troops in Syria

US Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Joe Dunford issued a statement Monday denying weekend media reports that the US plans to leave around 1,000 troops in Syria, saying the reports are “factually incorrect.”

Dunford presented the current planned “residual force” as 200, saying that this hadn’t changed since February. The US announced 200 would stay on February 21, but on February 22 officially increased that number to 400.

It’s not clear from Dunford’s statement where the “incorrect” aspect of the new report, which came out of a Wall Street Journal, exists. That report suggested that the 1,000 figure was not yet finalized, but was being discussed. Dunford’s comments didn’t include any details on what is actually being discussed, but just that nothing was finalized.

I think the multiple troop numbers being given, are simply a way of creating confusion about how many US troops the US does have in Syria.

The assailants reportedly split into three groups, the first of which fired upon the people, the second set fire to buildings, and the third chased down people fleeing from the scene. Victims of the assault included women and children.

Critics Say Anti-Semitism Bill Infringes On 1st Amendment By Banning Criticism Of Israel

Critics of a Florida House bill that aims to crack down on anti-Semitism say the legislation is too narrow because it fails to address other forms of xenophobia and hate crimes, and that it violates the First Amendment by criminalizing legitimate criticisms of the State of Israel.

HB 741, which would specify that the term “religion” include anti-Semitism for purposes of the hate crime statute, among other things, passed unanimously in the Criminal Justice Subcommittee Tuesday morning.

The bill is sponsored by Representatives Randy Fine (R-Brevard County), who is Jewish, and Michael Caruso (R-Delray Beach). The cosponsors are Representatives Jason Fischer (R-Jacksonville), Chip LaMarca (R-Lighthouse Point) and Spencer Roach (R-North Fort Myers).

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF this gets passed by the Florida legislature, I hope that there is a counter-argument, all the way up to the Supreme Court, that this absolutely is a First Amendment issue, and needs to be trounced on its head.

To say that one cannot legitimately criticize the government of Israel, is a clear violation of the First Amendment.

Mass ‘JEXODUS’ of Jewish People to Leave the Democratic Party

Young Jewish Americans are leading a mass exodus out of the Democratic Party. The new movement, called ‘JEXODUS’ calls itself a group of ” proud Jewish Millennials tired of living in bondage to leftist politics.”

On Monday, JEXODUS Spokeswoman and Former Trump Campaign Staffer Elizabeth Pipko told “Fox & Friends” that it was a shift in policy under the Obama administration that sparked anti-Israel sentiments in the Democratic Party. Pipko discussed the strong U.S. Israel relationship under the Trump Administration and the Embassy move to Jerusalem as obvious successes for the Jewish community in America. However, Pipko said the Jewish left fails to recognize these achievements.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A cautionary note here; President Trump's fealty to both Israel, and Netanyahu personally, may well translate into massive wars in the Middle East, which the US may well not be able to win.

One has to wonder how Elizabeth Pipko will feel if, because we are understaffed in all areas of our military, that she will be called up in the reinstitution of the draft, to provide more "fodder" for these wars.

Because if you remember, the next draft will include both our sons and our daughters, that has already been decided by Congress.

Or, does she think that her relationship with President Trump, will mean she will be deferred, at least for a time?!? She is, after all, the perfect age to be drafted, at 24.

Bombshell report detailing the shocking activities of paedophile priests working under Cardinal George Pell is set to be released after his sex assault conviction

The conviction of Cardinal George Pell paves the way for blanked out pages from the child abuse royal commission report to be released for the first time.

The Royal Commission redacted more than 60 pages of its 2017 final report about the Ballarat diocese, at least some of which was believed to relate to Pell.

Pell, 77, was born and grew up in the regional Victorian city, and served as a priest and as a senior administrator in the Catholic church there from 1973 until 1987.

The mystery pages are believed to report on what was done about paedophile priests in the diocese where Pell was in a position of power.

One of Australia's worst paedophile priests, Gerald Francis Ridsdale, worked in the area. He was most recently found guilty of abusing 11 boys and one girl from 1962 to the 1980s.

Catholic Church’s Brooklyn Diocese Calls Pete Davidson’s Anti-Faith Joke ‘Disgraceful’

“Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson (shown above left) has earned a fair amount of criticism since the taping of the latest “SNL” episode.

Musician R. Kelly was the big focus of the episode. The show’s cold open mocked the rapper — who was recently indicted on multiple counts of sexual assault.

He came up again later in the show when Davidson appeared in the Weekend Update segment.

Davidson compared being a fan of R. Kelly to being a Catholic churchgoer.

The joke earned both applause and boos from the “SNL” studio audience.

“But if you support the Catholic Church, isn’t that the same thing as being an R. Kelly fan? I don’t really see the difference — only one’s music is significantly better,” joked Davidson.

The Brooklyn Diocese was no fan of the joke.

Cult Raid Reveals Dozens of Slaves Striving for Salvation Ahead of Doomsday

The investigation, which is now underway, posits that the alleged religious cult slaves did not view themselves as such and worked there out of their own volition.

An ongoing investigation found that what was viewed as a religious cult is run by Igreja Adventista Remanescente de Laodiceia, a religious community of about 300 people in the capital city of Brasilia. The apparently slavish people are believed to have laboured on the farm for little or no pay, as members of the cult preferred to silently endure all hardships instead of asking for assistance.

Russian oil imports surge in US as Venezuela’s slow to a trickle

Only two ships carrying 766,000 barrels of crude oil from Venezuela arrived in the United States last week in the wake of debilitating oil sanctions lodged against the state-run oil company, PDVSA, according to investment bank Caracas Capital Markets, which tracks Venezuelan oil shipments.

Russian companies, meanwhile, sent nine ships carrying more 3 million barrels of crude oil and petroleum products, according to a review of the U.S. Bill of Ladings database by Caracas Capital.

That import data is clear evidence that Russia is profiting off the geopolitical battle, selling into the U.S. market while helping to prop up the Caracas leadership that Washington is aiming to replace, said Russ Dallen, a managing partner at the investment bank who advises U.S. officials on Venezuelan matters.

Cardinal George Pell has been found guilty in Australia of sexual offences against children, making him the highest-ranking Catholic figure to receive such a conviction.

Pell abused two choir boys in Melbourne's cathedral in 1996, a jury found. He had pleaded not guilty.

As Vatican treasurer, the 77-year-old Australian was widely seen as the Church's third most powerful official.

Pell, due to face sentencing hearings from Wednesday, has lodged an appeal.

His trial was heard twice last year because a first jury failed to reach a verdict. A second jury unanimously convicted him of one charge of sexually penetrating a child under 16, and four counts of committing an indecent act on a child under 16.

Pell is the most senior Catholic cleric in the world to be convicted of such offences and the case was reported in many international news outlets.

Australian media were not able to report on the decision because Cardinal Pell was also due to face charges at a second trial in early 2019, related to alleged abuse committed in Ballarat, reportedly at a swimming pool.

A suppression order was put in place because publication of the first conviction could prejudice the second case.

Australian cardinal George Pell - third most powerful man in Vatican - convicted of molesting two choirboys

The most senior Catholic cleric ever charged with child sex abuse has been convicted of molesting two choirboys moments after celebrating Mass, dealing a new blow to the Catholic hierarchy's credibility after a year of global revelations of abuse and cover-up.

Australian Cardinal George Pell, Pope Francis' top financial adviser and the Vatican's economy minister, bowed his head but then regained his composure as the 12-member jury delivered unanimous verdicts in the Victoria state County Court on December 11 after more than two days of deliberation.

The court had until today forbidden publication of any details about the trial.

Nun says 'storm will not pass' as Vatican ends summit

A top Catholic cardinal has admitted that pedophiles were allowed to prey on children after Church files on priests who sexually abused minors were destroyed.

The revelation came as a Vatican summit on a pedophilia crisis that has devastated lives in countries across the globe came to a close on Sunday, with Pope Francis warning victims to lower their expectations.

The meeting was marked by horror stories from abuse victims, some of whom told painful stories of abuse and cover-up when the conference began on Thursday.

One of the victims said she was forced to have three abortions after being abused for years by a priest who beat her, while another said he had been molested more than 100 times.

Pope Francis compares child sex abuse to human sacrifice as he vows to confront clergy abusers 'with the wrath of God' at extraordinary summit on paedophilia in the Catholic Church

Pope Francis has vowed to confront clergy sex abusers with 'the wrath of God' and compared their actions to human sacrafice.

He made the remarks during a mass in the Vatican City to conclude his extraordinary summit on preventing clergy sex abuse.

Francis also pledged to end the cover-ups by their superiors and prioritise victims of this 'brazen, aggressive and destructive evil'.

The Guardian reported Pope Francis, concluded mass by comparing the abuse of children to 'human sacrifice'.

Cyborgs for God: New Robot in Kyoto Will Offer Buddhist Wisdom in Plain Terms

A humanoid robot modeled after Kannon, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, has been tasked with explaining the teachings of Buddha in colloquial language at the Kodaiji Temple in the city of Kyoto, Japan.

On Saturday, Mindar, the robot, gave its first speech on the Heart Sutra, a key scripture in Buddhist teaching that — in part — offers a path to "overcome all fear, destroy all wrong perceptions and realize perfect nirvana," while temple music played in the background, the Japan Times reported.

"If an image of Buddha speaks, teachings of Buddhism will probably be easier to understand," Tensho Goto, the chief steward of the Kodaiji temple said in a news conference about the robot's release. "We want many people to come to see (the robot) to think about the essence of Buddhism."

Church files on paedophile priests 'destroyed', cardinal admits

A top Catholic cardinal admitted on Saturday that Church files on priests who sexually abused children were destroyed or never even drawn up, a move which allowed paedophiles to prey on others.

"Files that could have documented the terrible deeds and named those responsible were destroyed, or not even created," German Cardinal Reinhard Marx said in a speech to a landmark Vatican summit on tackling paedophilia in
the clergy.

"Instead of the perpetrators, the victims were regulated and silence imposed on them. The stipulated procedures and processes for the prosecution of offences were deliberately not complied with, but instead cancelled or overridden," he said.

Marx was speaking on the third day of an unprecedented meeting of the world's top bishops which Pope Francis has called in an effort to get on top of a crisis that has dogged the Roman Catholic Church for decades.

Verbal attack on French philosopher new anti-Semitism jolt

An upsurge in anti-Semitism in France reached a climax this weekend with a torrent of hate speech directed at a distinguished philosopher during a march of yellow vest protesters, adding to questions about the radicalized fringes of the movement hidden within French society and troubling the nation. Paris judicial authorities opened an investigation Sunday into anti-Semitic remarks hurled at Alain Finkielkraut a day earlier as he accompanied his mother-in-law to her Left Bank home in Paris. The investigation is being conducted into "public insult based on origin, ethnicity, nationality, race or religion" after a band of men in the protest march raged at Finkielkraut. "Go back to Tel Aviv," "Zionist," and "France is our land" were among the insults captured on video.

Anti-Semitism rising sharply across Europe, latest figures show

Anti-Semitism is rising sharply across Europe, experts have said, as France reported a 74 per cent increase in the number of offences against Jews last year and Germany said the number of violent anti-Semitic attacks had surged by more than 60 per cent. The figures confirm the results of three recent Europe-wide surveys showing Jewish people feel at greater risk, and are experiencing markedly more aggression, amid a generalised increase in racist hate speech and violence in a significantly coarser, more polarised political environment ... The French president, Emmanuel Macron, denounced the trend as "unacceptable", telling ministers that anti-Semitism in France was "a repudiation of the Republic and its values". Petra Pau, an MP for Germany's Die Linke party, said more and more people felt free to "deny the Holocaust and engage in anti-Semitic agitation".

Flashback: 'Ah, How Sweet It Is To Be Jewish ...'

Alain Finkielkraut is a professor of philosophy at France's eliteÉcole Polytechnique who for years has been a darling of a certain section of the Parisian intelligentsia ... "Ah, how sweet it is to be Jewish at the end of this 20th century! [he writes] We are no longer History's accused, but its darlings. The spirit of the times loves, honors, and defends us, watches over our interests; it even needs our imprimatur. " ... Obviously, it is "sweet" to be Jewish in these final years of the century, but only a Jew has the right to say so. In effect, as Finkielkraut acknowledges, it is no longer possible to publish without the imprimatur of organized Jewry.

The Growing Anti-Semitism Scam

The alleged increase in anti-Semitic incidents is largely fueled by how those incidents are defined. Israel and its friends have worked hard to broaden the parameters of the discussion, making any criticism of Israel or its activities either a hate crime or ipso facto an anti-Semitic incident. The U.S. State Department's working definition of anti-Semitism includes "...the targeting of the state of Israel," and it warns that anti-Semitism is a criminal offense. Recent legislation in Washington and also in Europe has criminalized hitherto legal and non-violent efforts to pressure Israel regarding its inhumanity vis-à-vis the Palestinians ... All of the media exposure of so-called anti-Semitism has a political objective, whether intended or not, which is to insulate Israel itself from any criticism and to create for all Jews the status of perpetual victimhood

Vatican summit on child sex abuse: What to expect

Pope Francis has summoned senior bishops from all over the world to Rome for a landmark meeting on sexual abuse.

From Thursday to Sunday, 190 Catholic leaders, including 10 women, will gather in the Italian capital at the pope's request; the event marks the first time in history that a pope has called senior bishops to discuss sexual abuse.

Scandals have struck the Catholic Church for decades, with pressure increasing after journalistic and judicial investigations revealed patterns of sexual abuse and cover-ups.

Further cases in 2018 heightened the crisis - some senior bishops have said the issue puts the very credibility of the Catholic Church at stake.

Supreme Court rejects abortion provider’s attempt to get bishops’ internal documents

The US Supreme Court has rejected hearing an appeal from Whole Woman’s Health, a Texas-based abortion facility chain, which aimed to get the Texas Catholic bishops’ internal communications about abortion.

In December 2016, Whole Woman’s Health sued over a Texas law that requires abortion facilities to bury or cremate aborted human remains.

The Texas Catholic bishops offered to provide burials to all unborn children who were aborted, which led to the abortion chain subpoenaing decades of internal religious deliberations among the bishops regarding abortion, even though they were not part of the lawsuit.

Two Catholic cardinals say 'homosexuality' is to blame for sexual abuse committed by priests - not the clerics themselves

Two Catholic cardinals claim homosexuality is to blame for the sexual abuse scandal engulfing the Church - not the clerics themselves.

They argue that Pope Francis' criticism of clerical power did not address the 'primary fault' which was a corruption of the absolute law, including by 'the plague of the homosexual agenda.'

Pope Francis has previously analysed the problem as a structural and cultural one which he calls, 'clericalism.'

Zionism Contradicts Judaism

The plain fact is that we Jews are not a race and we should not let the Zionists persuade us that we are. Proof to the contrary lies in Palestine, plain for all to see. I was second to none in my enthusiasm for. what my co-religionists had done for a desert brought to bloom, for clean new cities rising out of age-old sand dunes. All of these wonders had come to pass while only a few fanatics talked of statehood. One evening I went to see a performance of an opera in Jerusalem. In that theater lobby you could distinguish almost at a glance the Yiddish-speaking Ashkenazic Jew from Poland, the Spanish-speaking Sephardic Jew from North Africa or Turkey, the German Jew, Jews from a score of countries all differing in dress, language, manners and mental attitudes. I had visual proof of the arguments of anthropologists. who laugh at the notion of a distinct Jewish race.

Pope defrocks top US cardinal Theodore McCarrick after church found him guilty of sexually abusing minors and soliciting sex 'during confession'

Theodore McCarrick, 88, who once led the Archdiocese of Washington and was a powerful figure within the Catholic Church in the U.S., was accused of sexually abusing three minors and harassing adult seminarians and priests.

He was also found guilty by the Vatican's Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith of soliciting sex while hearing confession, the Holy See said in a statement on Saturday.

An investigation last year detailed settlements paid to men who had complained of abuse when McCarrick was a Bishop in New Jersey in the 1980s.

World Council of Churches rebuts ‘antisemitism’ claim by Israel advocacy group

The World Council of Churches (WCC) has rejected claims by an Israel advocacy group that its Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI) “embodies anti-Semitism”.

As the paper noted, the EAPPI sends “ecumenical accompaniers” (EAs), who “aims to offer a protective presence to vulnerable communities, monitoring and reporting human-rights abuses”.

NGO Monitor has accused the WCC of “singling out Israel” and thus “antisemitism”, through its EAPPI initiative. The group also urged donors to rethink giving to the programme.

Amid uproar, Vatican clarifies Pope's comments on 'sexual slavery' of nuns

A day after Pope Francis created an international uproar by saying Catholics nuns had been subjected to "sexual slavery" by the founder of a French order, the Vatican sought to clarify his remarks.

"When the Holy Father, referring to the dissolution of a Congregation, spoke of 'sexual slavery,' he meant 'manipulation,' a form of abuse of power which is reflected also in sexual abuse," said Vatican spokesman Alessandro Gisotti.

The Pope's shocking comments were the first time he has publicly acknowledged the sexual abuse of nuns by Catholic bishops and priests. To date, much of the clergy abuse scandal has focused on minors, who represent the vast majority of cases.

But many Catholics say abuse of vulnerable adults, including nuns and seminarians, has long been a problem in the church.

Nancy Pelosi’s Favorite Bible Quote is Not in the Bible

During a speech last week at the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi quoted her favorite Bible verse.

In her opening statement, Pelosi said, “To minister to the needs of God’s creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.”

She admitted, though, that she was unable to find the verse in the Bible. “I quote it all the time. And I keep reading and reading the Bible. I know it’s there someplace. It’s supposed to be in Isaiah,” she said.

TRUMP: ‘WE HAVE TO PROTECT ISRAEL,’ SHIFTING AGAIN ON SYRIA WITHDRAWAL

ASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump indicated this weekend that some US troops in Syria would remain there “to protect Israel,” in an apparent shift from his earlier insistence on an absolute withdrawal.

WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump indicated this weekend that some US troops in Syria would remain there “to protect Israel,” in an apparent shift from his earlier insistence on an absolute withdrawal.

In an interview with Margaret Brennan of CBS News, Trump was pressed to identify precisely how much of America’s force presence there would be coming home – and how quickly.

“We’re going to be there and we’re going to be staying. We have to protect Israel,” he replied. “We have to protect other things that we have. But we’re – yeah, they’ll be coming back in a matter of time.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The logical question which should have been asked by this alleged CBS reporter, and of course was not is, with all the money and equipment with which the US has gifted Israel, why in the name of heaven does Israel need protecting at all, more than what the US has already given, and committed to give to Israel?!?

Apparently,"amazingly intellectually lazy and woefully uninformed " is the new "standard" for reporting at CBS. Because had she actually bothered to do her homework, she would have understood the following:

US Defense Budget Prioritizes Securing Israel over Deterring IranThis article goes on to state the following:

"Securing Israel. The FY 2019 budget codifies the 10-year memorandum of understanding (MOU) that the Obama Administration signed with the Israeli government in September 2016. This MOU offered “the single largest pledge of military assistance in US history”—$38 billion over a decade. The language included in FY 2019 is unprecedented in its scope and content, lavishing US support on one single ally. The decision to help Israel with unmanned aerial systems came after Iran, Hezbollah, and IS flew drones in Syria during the past few years. This US support comes as the Israeli government seems increasingly concerned about the backlash of US-Iranian tensions and the potential for a growing number of heavy rockets and long-range missiles launched toward Israel. The FY 2019 budget urges the Trump Administration to begin talks with the Israeli government to determine “the quantity and type of precision guided munitions in the event of a sustained armed confrontation” with Hezbollah and Hamas."

Please let that number sink in : $38 billion dollars over ten years. means that Israel will be receiving $3,800,000,000 per year over 10 years.

So if, in fact, Israel is being provided getting nearly 4 billion dollars per year for the next decade, courtesy of the highly generous US taxpayers, (who, of course, had utterly no say in this matter), then why is this nuclear-armed, self-proclaimed theocracy, pathologically incapable of defending itself against Syria, or, in fact, Iran?!?

And forgive me, President Trump, but is it not totally illegal for the US government to give any aid or military assistance to Israel because it refuses to have its nuclear sites inspected, and to join the NNPT, as Iran has done, because such aid is in flagrant violation of both the Mann Act, and the Symington Amendment?!?

just doing a little "reality check" here, sir.

Sorry, Mr. President, with these statements regarding the the reasons for the US military staying in Syria, you just threw logic right smack on its head, and it is suffering from a severe concussion.

The US presence at al-Tanf in Eastern Syria, has utterly nothing to do with "defending Israel", but everything to do with having a military "beach head" for a potential invasion of Iran.

The maps tell the story:

Map of the Middle East

Al Tanf: why it matters

This is also the reason why US troops will not be leaving Iraq any time soon, either, even though the Iraqi government has asked it to leave, and so far, nicely.

As one revisionist has observed, it has its circle of saints, male and female, amongst whom, for example, Saint Anne (Frank), Saint Simon (Wiesenthal) and Saint Elie (Wiesel). The evolving response of the Church in Kentucky to Covington Catholic incident

However, both statements, along with the entire websites of the Diocese of Covington and the high school, have since been taken down, after subsequent, longer footage and additional information complicated the original interpretation of the video.
