Woman shoots intruder in her North Philadelphia home, police say

Police say a woman jumped into action when a suspect broke into her North Philadelphia home.

It happened on the 1300 block of Poplar Street around 4 a.m.

Police say the woman was asleep when she heard the suspect breaking in.

They say she grabbed a gun from under her bed and fired shots.

Police say the suspect ran to a carwash near Broad and Brown streets, where he climbed the roof and called police to report that he was shot.

The suspect is now in police custody.

‘A whole different story’ Trump declares guns would have ‘PREVENTED’ Paris terror attack

DONALD Trump has declared that guns would have prevented the 2015 Paris terror attacks that saw 130 people dead during a speech at the National Rifle Association (NRA), it has emerged.

The Republican firebrand explained that if “one employee, or one patron had a gun” to defend themselves against the horrifying incident, it would have been a “whole different story”.

He stated: "If one employee, or one patron had a gun, or if one person in this room had been there with a gun, aimed at the opposite direction, the terrorists would have fled or been shot.

"The terrorists would have fled or been shot and it would have been a whole different story."

The President added that “nobody has guns in Paris” as he continued to insist firearms would have changed the course of events in 2015.

Texas Woman Uses Gun To Keep Shovel-Wielding Intruder At Bay

A man with a shovel threatening you is a pretty scary thing for most people. I’d imagine it would be especially so for a woman, considering the muscle mass difference between the average man and the average woman. It’s often enough that a man could kill a woman with his bare hands. Give him a shovel to use as a weapon, and it’s even worse. Unless you’re the kind of Texan woman who understands that firearms are the great equalizers.

Why own an AR-15? Four Texans tell why they own the most popular gun in America

Some say it's too powerful for civilian use. Others say it's the most user-friendly rifle around. Politico dubbed it "the most political gun in America." The NRA calls it "America's rifle."

The AR-15's ability to be customized makes it the favored rifle for all kinds of shooters. You can replace parts, attach accessories and paint it to make it your own. Gun advocates call it the Lego or Barbie of guns because of that versatility.

New York WEAPONIZES Regulatory Powers Against The NRA

Regulatory powers have just been dangerously weaponized against the National Rifle Association. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s recent directive to financial regulators wants them to pressure private companies to break ties with the NRA, “or else…”

New York has never been known as a bastion of freedom, yet this is even highly reminiscent of all-out fascist tactics to eliminate basic fundamental human rights through weaponized regulations. And although no person should ever have the kind of power Cuomo exerted to “decree” private businesses and banks follow his orders, don’t be surprised if they cave to the tyranny.

“I am directing the Department of Financial Services to urge insurers and bankers statewide to determine whether any relationship they may have with the NRA or similar organizations sends the wrong message to their clients and their communities who often look to them for guidance and support,” the governor wrote in a statement.

Chicago violence: 7 killed in one neighborhood in 12 hours

Seven people, including four men killed in a gang-retaliation attack at a fast-food restaurant and a pregnant woman found with a gunshot wound to the head, were gunned down Thursday in three separate incidents within blocks of each other, police said.

The latest convulsion of violence, which occurred over a 12-hour period in the city’s South Shore neighborhood, comes as Chicago tallied nearly 900 murders in the past 15 months.

Two people — a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman — were fatally shot as they drove near the South Shore Cultural Center, a popular recreational spot operated by the city’s park district, around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Latin Mass Priest Slaps Down "Annoying, Arrogant" Parkland "Revolutionaries" In 'Idolization of Youth" Homily

My favorite Catholic Latin mass priest hits another one out of the park. He mentions Parkland students Hogg and Gonzales by name. The homily summary states, in part, "In this crazy modern world in which we live- in these revolutionary times- everything has been turned upside down, for we are now told that the young should lead, guide, and teach the old. The immature are now expected to provide the example for the mature. The young should not listen, but rather should speak out and not be silenced, for they are now the modern voice of wisdom. But it's interesting to note that the young leading others is actually seen as a curse in the Holy Bible. The prophet Isaiah states that the good Lord would punish Israel by having the young in positions of power: And I will give children to be their princes, and weak effeminate ones shall rule over them- the young shall rise up against the old, and the dishonorable against the honorable."

Psychiatrist Says: More Psychiatry Means More Shootings

Among the many missed opportunities widely discussed in the media, here is one on the local level where the Department of Children and Families actually went to his home to investigate. The department intended to evaluate Cruz for “possible detainment under the Baker Act, which allows authorities to hold individuals against their will for up to 72 hours.”

What did the investigator find? NBC News quotes the official report: “Mr. Cruz stated that he plans to go out and buy a gun… It is unknown what he is buying the gun for.”

Not only was Cruz planning to buy a gun while apparently refusing to say what he was planning to use it for, but his mother’s observations cast serious doubt on her son’s mental capacity to own a weapon. According to the New York Times, “She told the investigator that Mr. Cruz did not have a gun, though he did have an air gun she would take away from him when he did not follow rules about shooting only at backyard targets.”

It's very clear, Christians are not required to merely sit by and submit as they or their families are murdered at the hand of a corrupt tyrannical state. Matter of fact, preservation of one's life is a "grave duty." The catechism slso covers allowable "armed resistance to oppression by political authority." 2264: "...Someone who defends his life is not guilty of murder even if he is forced to deal his aggressor a lethal blow.. Nor is it necessary for salvation that a man omit the act of moderate self-defense to avoid killing the other man, since one is bound to take more care of one's own life than of another's. 2265 Legitimate defense can be not only a right but a grave duty for one who is responsible for the lives of others..."

U.S. Citizens Fund UN Arms Trade Treaty Which Impacts U.S. Gun Ownership

Recently, I received an email from U.S. Senator Rand Paul regarding an issue which may upset, or be near and dear to, the hearts of many Americans; it stated the USA taxpayer is the second largest DIRECT financial funder of the U.N.’s global gun ban! Did you know that? Of course, most people probably don’t, and such information is one of the reasons I’ve been saying for umpteen years, “Get the USA out of the UN; get the UN out of the USA.”

It matters because first, it removes one more “talking point” used by anti-gunners to defend their intention to remove firearms from every law-abiding gun owner in the country. Second, it confirms that government agencies cannot be trusted without verification. Third, it is one more argument in the arsenal of those promoting private gun ownership to those who haven’t yet made up their minds.

Barack Obama Took The Next Terrible Step Toward Confiscating Americans’ Guns

Barack Obama has one goal in mind.

The complete confiscation of every gun in America.

And he took this terrible step toward accomplishing that goal.

Liberals have latched on to David Hogg and his band of gun grabbing activists.

They hope the teenager’s anti-gun activism will spur liberals to the polls this November and elect an anti-gun Congress.

The gun grabbers will lie in wait until there is an anti-gun President, and then when the next mass shooting takes place, they will ram through gun bans and national gun registration databases.

Venezuela Banned Guns. Now Their Murder Rate Is Skyrocketing.

Want an example of how dangerous gun prohibition for citizens can be ? Try Venezuela, where since April 2017 at least 163 pro-democracy protesters have been murdered by the Maduro dictatorship.

In 2012, the Venezuelan National Assembly, which was dominated by communists, passed the “Control of Arms, Munitions and Disarmament Law." The bill was clear that it aimed to “disarm all citizens.” All gun sales were banned except to government entities. If a citizen was caught selling a gun or carrying one, they could get 20 years in prison.

The year preceding Maduro’s disarmament initiative, Caracas recorded a homicide rate of 122 per 100,000 inhabitants, roughly 20 times the global average of 6.2.

So what happened next? The national homicide rate rose from 73 per 100,000 in 2012 to 90 per 100,000 in 2015. In 2014, the Maduro government invested $47 million to create 60 centers for voluntary firearm trade-ins.

Does Gun Control Really Work? Here’s Proof That the Answer Is No

Here’s a simple challenge for our liberal friends – How can you possibly believe gun control is the answer to curbing violence when we have two rock-solid examples of the opposite.

We know from a long and extensive history of school shootings – areas in which signs proclaim the site is a ‘gun-free zone’ – that gun control or gun bans do not work.

If somebody wants to do harm, they will do harm. If somebody wants to illegally use a gun, they will do so.

And if somebody wants to commit violence, well they’ll commit violence – Just ask England and Chicago.

Time to Repeal the 2nd Amendment & Ban Guns, How is That Working For You?

Today’s protesters have called on the government to “do something” about guns and point to retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens’ recent cry to abolish the Second Amendment. Well, countrymen and women, there’s an “app” to do just that.

What’s missing in any discussions, however, seems to be some basic understanding of the process to repeal an amendment to the U.S. Constitution, as well as the reasons why so many Americans find the notion utterly revolting when their liberties are under attack.

The Constitution provides that an amendment may be proposed either by Congress with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures.

Dishonest CDC caught hiding data proving that guns are used FAR more for self-defense than for crime

One of the Left’s biggest knocks on guns is their claim that very few Americans actually use one for self-defense purposes and that firearms are used far more times to commit murder and other crimes.

Not only is that untrue, it’s very untrue. And what’s more, at least one government agency has known it’s untrue for at least 20 years — the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Recently discovered statistics from the CDC dating back to the mid-to-late 1990s that were never released to the public indicate that defensive gun uses (DGUs) are much more common than criminal uses of a firearm, The Daily Wire reported.

According to a new report from Florida State University criminologist Gary Kleck, the agency conducted the surveys in 1996, 1997, and 1998 but neglected — purposefully, most likely — to make public the fact that Americans use guns in millions of self-defense situations every year on average.

An Illinois County board just voted to become a sanctuary county for gun owners. That would entail not enforcing laws that prohibit the basic fundamental human right of self-defense.

WHAT IF ABORTIONISTS USED GUNS INSTEAD OF NEEDLES?

We need to tread more carefully so that we do not end up in the trap that the Left has set. “You are certainly not for seeing young children die in schools are you?”

That isn’t the question. Of course not…but associating guns with killing is quite a stretch. There are plenty of ways to kill people.

It is like the word “choice” that the Left uses when trying to hide the fact that abortion kills a baby. If the “choice” is about a baby’s right to live rather than a woman’s right to abort you will find fewer people in support of a “woman’s right to choose.”

What would be the reaction to abortion if abortionists killed the babies with guns?

School District Gives Teachers Tiny, Souvenir Bats to Fend Off Armed Intruders

Mere weeks after one Pennsylvania school district was soundly mocked for arming its teachers with buckets of stones, another district announced its plans to arm teachers with “miniature souvenir” baseball bats.

As part of its response plan to an active shooter situation, the Millcreek Township School District gave its teachers tiny wooden bats administrators say can be used to “create noise, distract, or defend against an active shooter.”

Superintendent William Hall penned a letter yesterday defending the decision. He explained that in the wake of recent school shootings, the district has given teachers an “attack option,” which is only to be used as a last resort.

“In an active shooter situation, [the tiny wooden bats] could be used as a tool against an active shooter just like any other item in the immediate room,” he said. “They will remain locked in the classroom and are only to be used/available in a hard lockdown situation.”

Gun sales surged in the two months after the Parkland shooting as owners worry about possible new gun control laws

Two months after the death of 17 people at a school shooting in Florida gun makers' stocks and firearm sales have surged.

The Parkland shootings sparked the strongest push for gun control in years.

Expectations of new regulations have sent gun owners worried about potential restrictions to stores to stock up - benefiting gun makers.

School Resource Officer Stops School Shooting In Ocala, Florida On Friday, No Media Praise

An armed School Resource Officer arrived to the scene of a shooting and had placed the suspect into custody, ending what could have been a longer assault on students and teachers. The knife control movement has crossed the Atlantic.

PJ Media reported Lori Brown said the suspect who allegedly attacked her son “should have not been allowed to have an illegal knife on him and use it to murder somebody.”

She is lobbying Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott for more restrictions on knives.

“As with gun control, she seems focused more on restricting access to the weapon the murderer used than on enabling victims to defend themselves,” the report said.

Her son, University of Texas at Austin student Harrison Brown, died in a stabbing attack on campus in May 2017.

Mass Shootings May Be Linked To Psychotropic Drug Use

Zoloft, Lexapro and Prozac have all become household names, generating billions of dollars each year for the pharmaceutical companies that produce them. But why will no one talk about the effect they are they having on the nation’s psychology?

“Why does it always seem that the shooter in these type of mass killings has been on some sort of psychotropic drugs?” asks former Texas Congressman Ron Paul. “Why is it no one is questioning these medications? All of which come with labels warning of horrific side effects. Perhaps one reason they are ignored is that the pharmaceutical industry spends billions each year lobbying congress.”

Mania, suicidal thoughts and dangerous impulses are all common side effects of these medications. With one in six Americans taking these mind-altering drugs, the link between medication and the rise of abhorrent behavior in our nation has yet to be properly investigated.

Rahm Emanuel Wants to Withhold City Contracts to Punish Banks That Won't Restrict Gun Businesses

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) wants to use city contracts to punish banks that will not restrict and/or regulate clients involved in the firearms industry.
Emanuel’s ordinance is co-sponsored by Alderman Edward Burke (14th).

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Emanuel introduced the ordinance by saying, “When it comes to fighting for stronger, smarter gun laws Chicago is putting our money where our mouth is. The private sector has a role to play in supporting public safety. Chicago should give our business to companies who share our values and want to be part of the solution to gun violence, not profit from it.”

The ordinance would require financial institutions to file affidavits “verifying that their customers ban the sale of bump stocks and high-capacity magazines.” Moreover, banks would have to assure the city of Chicago that their customers in the firearms industry “ban the sale of firearms to customers under the age of 21 and those who fail to pass background checks.”

Google Caught Red-Handed Censoring Search Results Asking Questions About Parkland Shooting

Google may be the world’s most popular search engine, but it has also been the subject of a number of accusations in recent years that it is purposefully censoring searches and influencing results. In the case of search results related to the Parkland shooting, that alleged influence is becoming even more apparent.

This week, the staff at The Free Thought Project began testing various keywords related to the Parkland shooting on different search engines, and we noticed that if our search terms were controversial, the first page of Google results was filled with entirely different information than the other search engines. The information showed on Google was often not relevant to our search, and the results always seemed to support the official narrative.

The most striking of these results came when we searched for the words “girl says 3 shooters parkland,” expecting the news footage of an eyewitness from the school saying that there were multiple shooters.

Tenacious Sandy Hook Researcher Wins One in Court

Pozner withdrew the lawsuit after refusing to provide discovery concerning whether Mr. Pozner was Mr. Pozner. AJ 's attorneys should make short work of this man whomever he may be. Bizarre!

Laura Ingraham Maintains Top Spot With Fox News Show Despite Advertiser Exodus

Let it not be said that sticking to your guns means you lose.

Last week, Laura Ingraham returned to Fox News after a week-long break. Before her short sabbatical, gun-control activist, and de facto Democratic Party spokesman, David Hogg launched a boycott against her program, targeting the show’s advertisers.

While many advertisers jumped ship at the slightest threat of bad publicity, some advertisers such as MyPillow weren’t so easily cowered. Fox News also stood behind their host, defending Ingraham against the vicious liberal attacks. And it looks like it paid off.

The Color of Gun Crime in America’s Big Cities

The Second Amendment is under siege. In the New York Times, retired Supreme Court justice John Paul Stevens urged its repeal. A national survey conducted by The Economist and YouGov found 21 percent of Americans support repealing the Second Amendment. Not surprisingly, support varies greatly by race and party affiliation, with 39 percent of Democrats, 30 percent of blacks, and 27 percent of Hispanics in favor of repeal. Only eight percent of Republicans and 19 percent of whites feel the same.

Signs at the “March For Our Lives” rally showed many protesters were not motivated by concerns about public safety, but by rage against gun owners, who were often conflated with “evil white men” generally and deemed the equivalent of terrorists.

For example, some slogans at the rally were:

“White Men with Guns Are America’s Biggest Terrorists”

“I Wish Obama Had Taken Your Guns”

“NRA is a Terrorist Organization”
