Putin’s Hour Is At Hand

Washington’s murder of Qasem Soleimani, a great Iranian leader, indeed, one of the rare leaders in world history, has dimmed Trump’s leadership and placed the limelight on Putin. The stage is set for Putin and Russia to assume the leadership of the world.

Washington’s murder of Soleimani is a criminal act that could start World War 3 just as the Serbian murder of the Austrian Archduke set World War 1 in motion. Only Putin and Russia with China’s help can stop this war that Washington has set in motion.

The USA is now at war, de-facto and de-jure, with BOTH Iraq and Iran (UPDATED 6X)

The blowback has begun

First, let’s begin by a quick summary of what has taken place (note: this info is still coming in, so there might be corrections once the official sources make their official statements).

Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdl Mahdi has now officially revealed that the US had asked him to mediate between the US and Iran and that General Qassem Soleimani to come and talk to him and give him the answer to his mediation efforts. Thus, Soleimani was on an OFFICIAL DIPLOMATIC MISSION as part of a diplomatic initiative INITIATED BY THE USA.For one thing, the US will now become an official and totally illegal military presence in Iraq. This means that whatever SOFA (Status Of Forces Agreement) the US and Iraq had until now is void.

Second, the US now has two options:

Fight and sink deep into a catastrophic quagmire or
Withdraw from Iraq and lose any possibility to keep forces in Syria

Satan for scrap: Russia to DESTROY two of its most powerful strategic nuclear missiles in 2020

Russia is set to dismantle two of its Soviet-era intercontinental ballistic missiles – still considered the most powerful in the world – this year. The R-36M2 ICBMs are commonly known under the NATO reporting name SS-18 Satan.

Two missiles, currently stored at a military compound in Russia’s Urals, are set to be destroyed by the end of November, Interfax reported citing a contract for their dismantling. The missiles – which have a dry weight of 52 tons – will be dismantled for scrap, since they contain quite a cache of valuable materials.

Each ‘Satan’ contains at least 1.2kg of gold, some 19kg of silver, a few grams of platinum as well as almost 6 tons of ferrous and 20 tons of non-ferrous metals. The rest of the missile – fiberglass, assorted rubber plumbing and other materials are set to be recycled and disposed of as well.

US strategy and what the gas pipeline war is costing us

Although they were locked in a convoluted struggle concerning the impeachment of President Trump, Republicans and Democrats in the Senate laid down their arms in order to vote, in quasi-unanimity, for the imposition of heavy sanctions on the companies participating in the construction of North Stream 2, the doubling of the gas pipeline which delivers Russian gas to Germany across the Baltic Sea. The main victims were the European companies which had helped finance the 11 billion dollar project with the Russian company Gazprom. The project is now 80 % finished. The Austrian company Omy, British/Dutch Royal Dutch Shell, French Engie, German companies Uniper and Wintershall, Italian Saipem and Swiss Allseas are also taking part in the laying of the pipeline.

The Leftist Cult vs. The Trump Cult: Similarities And Differences

Some of the alternative media is starting to catch on.

Enter Donald Trump, a kind of artificially created focal point machine, a figure that is designed to absorb liberty movement talking points and then regurgitate them in an alphabet soup puddle on Twitter. This rhetoric is relatively effective in that many conservatives recognize parts of the soup and find comfort that Trump “must be on their side”.

I have outlined in numerous articles Trump's dubious background and behavior. To summarize, we often hear lip service from Trump on anti-globalism and anti-elitism, even though it is an undeniable fact that he has saturated his cabinet with globalists and elitists.

We heard anti-banker talking points from Trump during his campaign, even though Trump has a longstanding relationship to the Rothschild family and works side-by-side with Rothschild and Goldman Sachs bankers in the White House.

Why I Don’t Criticize Russia, China, Or Other Unabsorbed Governments

By Caitlin Johnstone

Depending on whose political echo chamber I happen to be arguing with on a given day, one common criticism I run into a fair bit which many of my readers have surely also encountered is that I put all my energy into criticizing the foreign policy of the United States and its allies.

“You’re not anti-war, you’re only anti-AMERICAN wars!” they say, as though they’re delivering some kind of devastating slam-dunk point. “If you’re so antiwar, why don’t you criticize Assad’s war in Syria? If you’re such an anti-imperialist, show me where you’ve ever once criticized Russian imperialism, or Chinese imperialism?”

Russia & Ukraine strike last-minute gas transit deal to avoid stoppage of energy supplies to Europe

Russian and Ukrainian state energy majors Gazprom and Naftogaz have reached a breakthrough agreement to continue the transit of Russian natural gas to European countries using the Ukrainian pipeline network.

The package deal inked between the Russian company and Ukraine has restored the balance of interests between the parties, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller said, noting that the Russian energy giant “has made everything possible and has proved one more time that it is a responsible supplier and a reliable partner.”

The agreement will ensure the transit of Russian gas through pipelines on Ukrainian territory for the next five years, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has revealed, adding that Kiev is set to receive over $7 billion from Moscow within the deal.

2019: A disastrous year for Trump’s foreign policy

Twenty-nineteen could best be described as a year when Donald Trump’s foreign policy unraveled on so many fronts. It became ever more erratic, one-sided and personalized, changing with the US president’s mood swings. The crisis, as many would call it, has been a long time in the making, and the implications will surely cast a long shadow over the new decade.

Trump, a self-proclaimed deal maker, is floundering as much internationally as he is domestically. The US, on his watch, arguably has less leverage with its allies than it has had at any time in modern history. Trump’s foreign policies—from the Middle East and North Korea to Venezuela— have largely failed

Nord Stream 2 – US Sanctions – Trump’s Economic Suicide?

Does Mr. Trump really not grasp that his sanctions left and right – and now on the Russian-German gas pipeline Nord Stream 2 – is committing economic suicide, not for himself, of course, but for the United States? He attempts to punish not only Russia, but all the corporations, construction companies, Russian, German and from everywhere, which collaborated and are still working on the final stretch of the1,250 km pipeline.

Russian security forces prevent New Year terrorist attacks in St. Petersburg based on US tip-off

Two people, who planned to stage terrorist attacks in St. Petersburg during the New Year holidays, have been detained by Russia’s security services. The arrests were made after a tip-off from US intelligence agencies.

The suspects were detained on Friday, Russia’s Security Service (FSB) announced. They were planning to target “crowded areas” in the country’s second largest city.

The operatives acted on “information earlier received from the American partners,” it added.

Earlier on Sunday, Vladimir Putin thanked Donald Trump for sharing intelligence that allowed them to prevent terrorist attacks on Russian territory. The two leaders talked on the phone, agreeing to continue cooperation in the field of fighting terrorism.

LNA Says Set for Major Tripoli Battles After Taking Control of Roads to Capital's Airport

CAIRO (Sputnik) - The Libyan National Army (LNA) announced on Friday that it had taken control of roads leading to the Tripoli airport and was set for major battles for main areas of the Libyan capital.

The news comes a day after information surfaced that the rival Tripoli-based government has officially requested military aid from Turkey.

"The LNA is advancing after violent clashes on roads that lead to the center of the capital. The GNA retreated leaving bodies lying on the road to Tripoli airport", the LNA wrote on Facebook, as quoted by Al Arabiya.

LNA spokesman Ahmed Mismari, in turn, told the TV channel said that the next few hours would surprise all those following the developments in Libya, saying that the battle for Tripoli was ongoing.

Turkey is sending troops to support the NLA Turkey speeds up Libya troop deployment deal to prevent slide into 'chaos'

The story goes on to state: "Libya’s internationally recognized Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli has been struggling to fend off General Khalifa Haftar’s forces, which have been supported by Russia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan.

“If today Libya becomes like Syria, then the turn will come for the other countries in the region,” Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Saturday at a meeting of the governing AK Party."

And yes, you read that correctly; Russia is supporting Khalifa Haftar and his forces, along with the UAE, Egypt, and Jordan.

So what we could potentially be seeing here, is another proxy war between the US (the Government of National Accord, established by the UN) and Russia, which is supporting Haftar in Libya.

This could, potentially, get a lot more bloody than it already has been, and very quickly.

US Navy Chief Says Only ‘Regime Change’ in Iran Can Stop Country’s ‘Provocative Actions’ in Gulf

Russian and Chinese warships joined Iran’s Navy and Revolutionary Guards vessels on Friday for four days’ worth of maritime exercises in the Gulf of Oman and the northern Indian Ocean, simulating search and rescue, anti-piracy and shooting drills.

The US Navy is concerned that the recent lull in hostilities with Iran following this summer’s string of escalatory actions in the form of tanker sabotage attacks, ship seizures and drone shootdowns may be repeated, Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly has said.

“I think they’re going to continue to perform provocative actions over there,” Modly said, speaking to Reuters on Friday. “And I think they’ll look at every opportunity they can to do that,” he added, without offering any more details.

“There’s nothing that suggests to me, short of a regime change there, that you have a different tone set from the leadership, that would suggest to me that they’re going to stop doing what they’ve been doing,” Modly explained.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Major Modly, can you please produce something even remotely resembling the hard evidence, regarding Iran's alleged "provocations"?!?

Because for the US to go to war against Iran right now, or in the near future, is "inviting" a Russian retaliation through the deployment of their newest and most deadly weapon, against which the US and its allies have utterly no defense; the Avangard, which has recently been introduced to the Russian military.

"We Cannot Be Isolated": Iran Warns At Start Of Joint Naval Drills With Russia & China

This past year witnessed the United States nearly go to war with Iran in the Persian Gulf, after a summer of 'tanker wars' and the September Saudi Aramco attack, but now it appears the new year will witness a superpowers balancing act of sorts play out in the region.

FT reports of an unprecedented development in the gulf region:

Russia, China and Iran launched their first joint naval exercises in the Gulf of Oman on Friday in a direct challenge to US influence in the Middle East. The move reflects growing co-operation between the US’s two main rivals and the Islamic republic, which is under sanctions imposed by Washington.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is almost as though the US government desperately wants to start a war but have the blame for starting such a war laid squarely on the shoulders of the countries enumerated above; unfortunately "plausible deniability", seems to be the attitude of those involved with US Statecraft these days, rather than creating a cohesive foreign policy, where war is not invoked, but geopolitical wins are achieved through responsible, moral, and hard won negotiations.

Washington's Unmasked Imperialism Towards Europe And Russia

Washington must think the rest of the world is as stupid as many of its own politicians are. Its passing into law – signed by President Trump this week – of sanctions to halt the Nord Stream-2 and Turk Stream gas supply projects is a naked imperialist move to bludgeon the European energy market for its own economic advantage.

Russia, Germany and others have defiantly told Washington its weaponizing of economic sanctions will not halt the Nord Stream nor the Turk Stream projects.

As German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said earlier this month, “it is unacceptable” for the US to brazenly interfere in European and Russian energy trade. The American pretext of supposedly “protecting” the national security of its purported European allies is frankly laughable.

An American Oligarch's Dirty Tale Of Corruption

Authored by William Engdahl via LewRockwell.com,

Rarely does the world get a true look inside the corrupt world of Western oligarchs and the brazen manipulations they use to enhance their fortunes at the expense of the public good.

The following comes from correspondence of the Hungarian-born billionaire, now naturalized American speculator, George Soros. The hacker group CyberBerkut has published online letters allegedly written by Soros that reveal him not only as puppet master of the US-backed Ukraine regime.

They also reveal his machinations with the US Government and the officials of the European Union in a scheme where, if he succeeds, he could win billions in the plunder of Ukraine assets. All, of course, would be at the expense of Ukrainian citizens and of EU taxpayers.

Foreign Fighter 'Rat Line' In Reverse: Turkey Sends Syrian 'Rebels' To Libya

Bloomberg has confirmed on Friday the prior rumors that Turkey will be sending mercenaries to Libya — where it is propping up the UN-backed government in Tripoli (the GNA) — are true. "Turkey is preparing to deploy troops and naval forces to support the internationally-recognized Libyan government, joining a planned push by Ankara-backed Syrian rebels to defeat strongman Khalifa Haftar," reports Bloomberg.

Though Ankara has yet to confirm or deny the new reports, Erdogan's Turkey has for years overseen a Libya-to-Turkey-to-Syria arms "rat line" which saw both heavy weaponry and jihadists fighters transported for the purpose of toppling Assad. But now with Erdogan's eyes set on defeating Benghazi-based General Khalifa Haftar, it appears this arms and jihadist rat line has conveniently been reversed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to ask; how is Russia, which is backing Haftar, going to react to this Turkish move in Libya?!?

It looks to me as though this has the very real possibility of this exploding in Erdogan's face like a bad trick cigar.

Syria: Trump Administration Builds Military Base in Oil Field

The United States is building a large military base within the al-Omar oil field, in the province of Deir Ezzor, in Syria, local media reported.

“The U.S. is equipping the base to serve as the command headquarters for the international coalition’s operations,” the Syria Now portal reported.

Besides fortifying the field with logistic and military reinforcements, the U.S. Army is building airstrips for its helicopters, which will be used to monitor oil wells from the air.

According to Syrian analysts, Washington is working to find a mechanism that makes it easier to extract as much Syrian oil as quickly as possible.???????

To do so, the U.S. is moving electrical equipment to put the electricity network into operation at the oil fields, which would allow it to begin to exploit them.

Who Is Winning the Arms Race? Russia’s “Super-Weapons”

Russia’s defense budget is a small fraction of what the US spends for militarism and warmaking. Yet Russia’s super-weapons exceed the best in the West because of efficient and effective use of its resources.

Meeting with Russia’s Defense Ministry Board on Tuesday, Putin discussed Moscow’s military development and key objectives next year.

Ahead of the meeting, he “visited an exhibition of advanced Russian weapons and equipment.

Putin earlier said Russia will not engage in an arms race. It’ll use its resources effectively and efficiently for maximum bang for the buck, my words interpreting his.

He also stressed that, unlike the US and NATO, Russia abides by its treaty obligations.

“How are we able to…remain in the lead,” he asked? “By using our brains, by intellect, by a better work organization, by minimizing” waste, fraud and abuse, by focusing on achieving maximum defense capabilities against possible aggression.

Trump Threatens Syria: Will POTUS Come to the Rescue of Al-Qaeda Terrorists in Idlib?

Trump wished the Syrian Arab Republic a belated Merry Christmas by tweeting yet another threat, warning the Syrian Armed Forces not to liberate Idlib from the approximately 10,000 al Qaeda terrorists who have occupied this area of the country, since the beginning of the crisis.

Surely the 45th President of the USA knows these stats, supported even by the same UN that also wails for al Qaeda on a regular basis. Surely Trump heard Special Presidential Envoy to the alleged anti-Daesh Global Coalition, Brett McGurk when he emphatically stated that Idlib province is the largest al Qaeda safe haven since 9/11.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, if the US goes into Syria in any great numbers, what, please, is Russia going to do here?!?

IS it your desire to get a shooting war going against Russia... over Syria?!?
I would like to politely suggest, sir, that this, of all the potentially ham-fistedly, pig-headedly potentially disastrous thing for the US to be even contemplating right now, this is probably one of the worst ideas, ever.

And this is particularly alarming, since the inclusion of the Avangard missile in the Russian military's, which renders everything we have as a counter measure, now obsolete.

Dec 28 05:17

Avangard changes everything: What Russia’s hypersonic warhead deployment means for the global arms race

Moscow’s deployment of ‘Avangard’ hypersonic warheads means the US missile defense installations in Europe are now obsolete – and that Washington would have to spend a lot of money it doesn’t have in order to catch up.
Video released by the Russian defense ministry on Friday shows the hypersonic glider warheads being loaded onto silo-based missiles. For now, the Avangards will be mounted on the UR-100N (or SS-19 Stiletto, as NATO calls them) ballistic missiles, until the RS-28 Sarmat is ready to enter service.

Hypersonic weapons fly far faster than the speed of sound. Avangard is capable of reaching Mach 27 without losing control or disintegrating under heat and pressure. This means that the weapon can outmaneuver any defenses on its approach phase, rendering it “absolutely invulnerable to any air or missile defense system,” in the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With such a bloated budget for Defense, why does the US seem to consistently be drawing the "short stick", when it comes to developing weapons which can, and will, outperform those of Russia?!?

This is a question which must be asked, and answered, by both the defense industry, and congressional representatives of the districts in which they work.

The answer to this is complicated, because isn't one or two factors here, but a conjoining of factors which has allowed this to happen.

Representatives Military Industrial complex rub shoulders with Presidents and Congressional bigwigs on a consistent basis, and overtly and covertly fund those candidates, in both Presidential and State races, to make sure that they get the best "bang", in terms of defense contracts for their campaign buck.

And because they contribute in this manner, executives of these companies believe that they can present shoddy products which are late; antiquated by the time of delivery; don't ever perform as promised; and are besieged with production problems, and the kinds of cost over-runs which could make one's eyes water.

First, this kind of contributing should be immediately outlawed.

Secondly, in the language of any contract by any branch of the US military, there should be a clause inserted stating that if the product is not delivered on time, within budget, and performing as advertised, then the corporate head of that company could be tried, convicted, and serve jail time for a "failure to deliver as specified".

Draconian steps?!? Absolutely.

But would they begin to diminish this kind of perpetual crisis with the American weapons systems industry, in its always being behind the proverbial eight-ball, regarding Russia and China's weapons program?!?

Absolutely.

We've been bled to death, economically, by military-centric companies which believe that all the above, including late, non-performing products, coming with staggering cost-over-runs, are just the way their businesses should work; this government needs to change up its game here, and quickly.

Video: Turkish-based ‘Syrian Government’ Threatens Damascus with Military Action

Late on December 23, the Turkish-based “Syrian Interim Government” (an entity funded by Turkey in an attempt to legalize its actions in Syria) threatened the real Syrian government with a military action.

In a released statement, it claimed that forces that participated in Turkey’s Olive Branch and Euphrates Shield operations are now moving to Greater Idlib in order to support their counterparts in repelling an attack by “regime forces, Russia and Iranian militias”.

It remains unclear what “forces” the barely existing “defense ministry” is planning to send to Idlib because Turkish-backed militant groups are already supporting al-Qaeda-linked Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in the battle against the Syrian Army. The Turkish-backed coalition of militant groups, the National Front for Liberation, has always been a useful partner for al-Qaeda in Idlib.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Erdogan, are you flipping kidding us, with this potential threat against Russia forces in Syria?!?

And sir, if you think you can do this on your own, please go ahead; But do you really believe that NATO will back you against Russia in Syria?!?

Was there some under-the-table quid pro quo, between you and Israel, or between you and the US, that such an act against Russia would be supported in any way?!?

AFTER HAFTAR SEIZES TURKISH VESSEL, ERDOGAN DEEPENS MILITARY ROLE IN LIBYA, ANGERING RUSSIA

SOURCE: ZERO HEDGE
As we predicted the Libyan war 2.0 has spilled into the Mediterranean and now standings on the brink of becoming a major renewed international proxy conflict bringing in regional powers, especially Turkey, Egypt, and potentially Russia.

The pro-Haftar Libyan National Army (LNA), based in the war-torn country's east, announced late Saturday it seized a Turkish vessel and briefly detained several Turkish crew members while the freighter was searched for weapons. "A vessel under the flag of Grenada, with a team of Turkish citizens on board, was detained," the LNA press service said. It was seized “because it entered Libya’s territorial waters without prior permission,” the LNA spokesman added.

‘Cutting each other's throats’: Allies fear Russia will annex Belarus to save Putin’s life

Western allies fear that Russia will gain sovereignty over Belarus, a former Soviet satellite state that could help preserve Vladimir Putin’s grip on power and sharpen Kremlin threats against NATO members.

Russian expansion is on the table because Putin is trying to finalize the implementation of a union treaty that the two countries signed in 1998. Moscow and Minsk interpret the agreement differently, but Putin has begun to apply economic pressure to Belarus while scheduling a flurry of meetings with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko over the last year.

“I think this mild annexation will just happen, probably next year,” Alisa Muzergues, a foreign policy analyst at GLOBSEC in the Slovak Republic, told the Washington Examiner. “To be honest, my personal feeling is that it's already a done deal."

Webmaster's Commentary:

I wouldn't throw the alarm here; Putin has, by in large, been good for the Russian people; the American government, by in large, has been good...for large corporations, and the already monied.

And I strongly believe that if given the chance, the Russian people would vote for him again.

Has Russia got superior weaponry to NATO?!? The short answer is, yes; but that is completely NATO's fault, and they need to up their game here.

And can someone, please, articulate what these "threats" to NATO are, concretely?!?

Because I sure as heck cannot see these "threats" other than some conjured Codswallop, courtesy of NATO, which have no basis in reality. What I do see, however, are new NATO deployments close to Russia's borders, which has got to make the Russians more than a little nervous.

HUNTER BIDEN ACCUSED OF $156M UKRAINE MONEY LAUNDERING SCHEME IN COURT FILING

SOURCE: ZERO HEDGE

A new filing in an Arkansas lawsuit against Hunter Biden claims that the former Vice President’s son "is the subject of more than one (1) criminal investigation involving fraud, money laundering and a counterfeiting scheme."

Filed by private investigator Dominic Casey of D&A Investigations on behalf of Lunden Alexis Roberts - with whom Hunter fathered a child, Monday’s "Notice of Fraud and Counterfeiting and Production of Evidence" alleges that Hunter Biden and associates Devon Archer and John Kerry stepson Christopher Heinz engaged in a money laundering scheme which accumulated over $156 million between March 2014 and December 2015.

According to the document, Biden, Archer and Heinz became directors of consulting firm Rosemont Seneca Bohai, LLC in order to "conceal their family members ownership," establishing financial accounts at Morgan Stanley and China Bank, the latter of which was used in a money laundering scheme.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Tom Perez, courtesy telephone, please; this issue will NOT go away for either the Democratic Party, or for the "Famile Biden"; if Biden does, by some kind of miracle, win the nomination, the Republicans are going to dog that nomination with these accusations right up until the day of the election itself.

Warren's numbers for "medicare for all" are blowing up in her face; the country is singularly unready for a Bernie Sanders Presidency; and Hillary, your two-time epic fail, is Kryptonite who comes across with all the warmth and compassion of a Dr. Who Dalek; so what do you do?!?

Tom, I have mentioned before, (and I would almost bet that you have someone tasked with the "punishment" of looking at this blog on a daily basis); you have understand that Presidential candidates are created, not necessarily born. So what you need to do, is to look at what is left after you seperate the "non-electable" from the most likely electable candidates, and this gives you two names; those of Tulsi Gabbard, and Pete Buttegieg.. Both are Vets who have seen active duty service, and because of that, are not the warmongers your military/industrial complex likes to see, even through, these people will always get their proverbial "pound of flesh" from Congress, because of the candidates they support, overtly and covertly.

Tom, it's time for a little horse-sense here. Running Hillary for a third time, with no change in the Electoral College set up, nearly guarantees (even with all the possible vote fraud factor included), that the Democrats will implode come November, and from self-inflicted wounds.

Please try for a couple of candidates who can make sense for the American people this time, and who can be made to at least appear to "have the backs" of the very quiet "American center", please?!?

An End to the World as We Know It? Congress and the White House compete in year-end stupidity sweepstakes

Dmytro Kuleba, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, has been in Washington lobbying for the additional military assistance. He has had considerable success, particularly as there is bipartisan support in Congress for aid to Kiev and also because the Trump Departments of Defense and State as well as the National Security Council are all on board in countering the “Russian threat” in the Black Sea. President Trump signed the NDAA last week, which completed the process.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The behaviour of both Congress and our President, with these "bundles of joy" attached to their spending legislation, very much reminds me of a very funny American comedian by the name of Ron White, who made the comment in one of his stand-up routines: "You can't fix stupid."

I can't be the only one out there, very negatively responding to all of the above; why, in the name of heaven, cannot this government find ways to use collaboration, instead of confrontation, to calm down geopolitical squabbles, other than with war?!?

And it doesn't matter which party is in power; the idiocies of both US foreign and domestic policy suffer from a permanent, and almost pathological inability of the crafters of these obtuse, and occult bits of legislation, to think a scenario through to its logical conclusion, or understand what the "crash and fail" results of this behaviour will be, when these actions happen, simultaneously, in real time.

US Defense Secretary Eyes Pullout From West AfricaRedeployment from region would be first in moves aimed at Russia and China

US Defense Secretary Mark Esper is interested in seeing a substantial reduction in troops and operations ongoing in Western Africa, with the troops being redeployed to areas closer to Russia and China.

This comes, ironically, amid speculation about the Islamist factions in the Sahel, and suggestions this might be a growing priority for the US. Esper, however, has made much of wanting to have more troops directly lined up against Russia and China for “Great Power” competitions.

Among the pullouts in West Africa would be ending US operations in Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso. The end of US involvement in Niger would include abandoning the $110 million drone base that the US just got finished building and bringing into operation.

After West Africa, the plan is that the US will also draw down forces in Latin America, and subsequently then cut troop levels in Iraq and Afghanistan, all as part of a new pivot to Eastern Europe and the Pacific.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is madness, writ large, represented to the American people as logical foreign policy; But to me, however, this "repositioning" of American troops, ever closer to Russia and China, is just a couple of steps short of creating a situation where we will be dealing with a shooting war with Russia and/or China.

I looked at Esper's background, both personal and professional, to find a motive for this, to see if he, like Secretary of State Pompeo, was someone with a personal belief in a the Rapture; it is not, but there us another avenue of Esper's background which suddenly caused his thought process come completely into focus.

In an article from rollingstone.com, we have the following made clear;
Trump’s Pick for Defense Secretary Is as Swampy as You’d ExpectThe article goes on to state: "The president officially conferred the nomination to Esper on Monday. The following day, Esper testified before the Senate Armed Services Committee, where another entry on his resume was pulled into the spotlight: the seven years he spent as the top lobbyist for Raytheon, the defense contractor that does billions of dollars of business with the government every year."

When it comes to these contracts, there is nothing like a "former lobbyist" in a position to do a corporation good, as is Esper, in his current position as Secretary of Defense.

This makes his "vision" (and his "logic") crystal clear, to anyone who is paying attention. The issues of him wanting perhaps to get as close to war as possible, eating up billions of Defense Department dollars, without actually going to war, can then be seen in its proper perspective.

Putin unveils another new hypersonic missile after boasting that Russia is the ONLY country to have them deployed

President Vladimir Putin unveiled another new hypersonic missile today after boasting that Russia is the only country to have them deployed.

Speaking at a meeting with the military top brass, Putin claimed that a new land-based version of the 'unstoppable' Zircon missile could hit speeds of Mach 9, around 7,000mph.

He said that for the first time in history Russia has an edge in designing a new class of weapons unlike in the past when it was catching up with the United States.

European Firms Stop Work On NS2 Pipeline As Gazprom Readies Own Ships 'Immune' To US Sanctions

Trump's signing the 2020 NDAA into law on Friday, and with it sanctions targeting European and Russian companies laying the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, had the immediate impact of forcing a work stoppage over the weekend as Allseas, the Swiss company that is Nord Stream’s main contractor, confirmed its workers as well as partner contractors have laid down their tools.

And Russia is now hitting back, first by promising Washington will not impede the project, and further with reports that Moscow is drawing up retaliatory sanctions against the US, while not citing specifics.

Majority stakehold Gazprom has indicated it's already taken measures to complete the project while circumventing the US measures. The WSJ continues:

Webmaster's Commentary:

To a small child, everything it it sees, is a nail, just waiting to be hammered in.

So it is with Trump's sanctions, which will only have the effect of pushing Europe ever more deeply into Russia's economic embrace, and insuring that Europe doesn't really want to have anything more to do with the Unhinged; surveilled State of Amerika.

NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg says alliance should seek better relations with Russia, signals willingness to meet with Putin

NATO should pursue dialogue and stronger relations with Moscow, Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said, declaring that he is open to meeting with the Russian president.

Stoltenberg told German news agency dpa that a summit with Putin is feasible if the “context is right.” He said that dialogue with Moscow was important, even though the alliance has a “difficult” relationship with Russia.

"Russia is our biggest neighbor, Russia is here to stay and we need to strive for a better relationship with Russia."

Long-awaited train traffic opens on Crimea Bridge as Putin becomes first passenger (VIDEO)

President Putin has opened railway traffic on the 19-km-long Crimea Bridge, which connects the peninsula with mainland Russia and is the longest in Europe. He called the bridge "a beauty" as he took a ride in the driver's cabin.

The construction of the bridge kicked off in February 2016, less than two years after the Crimean people overwhelmingly voted to reunite with Russia in a referendum. The link was crucial for Crimea, which only has a land border with Ukraine, so the 15,000 builders worked hard, often in difficult stormy conditions, to make it happen.

Russia is our biggest neighbor, Russia is here to stay and we need to strive for a better relationship with Russia.

NATO and Russia have been at odds with each other on a number of key security issues and conflicts. The alliance’s eastward expansion, as well as troop and hardware buildups along Russia’s border, have further strained trust and cooperation between the two world players.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This feels both like an outreach to Russia, and a further "step away" from the US government's stance that no matter what it does, Russia always remains a villain of the highest order against both the US's and Western Europe's desired outcomes in world affairs.

This Texan Fighting with the Ukraine Rebels Thinks the West Will Force a Big Confrontation in April

First, I do not think Putin and Russia will abandon the Republics. It would be cowardly, unprincipled and futile to do so, and these are adjectives that simply do not apply to Putin or to Russia.

And Putin has also said, and I quote, "I learned on the streets of Leningrad as a kid, if a fight is inevitable, it is better to hit first." I am quite certain that Vladimir Putin will stand by his words, by his promises and his principles, and the Russian People will back him 100%.

Putin has promised that if Russia is attacked, he will destroy the places the attacks come from, and also the places where the orders for the attacks come from. And Vladimir Putin don't lie.

If you allow your corrupt and bloodthirsty rulers to attack us, understand that we will hit back, hard, where you live, and understand that you will have it coming.

Otherwise, your masters will proceed with this diabolical scheme and the whole world may well come crashing down around your heads.

Russia's Gazprom to pay $2.9 billion in new Ukraine gas deal

The Russian energy giant has agreed to settle its long running dispute with Ukraine over transit fees. A new five-year Moscow-Kyiv gas deal will also reduce European concerns over the loss of access to Russian fuel.

Russia and Ukraine have agreed to continue to send gasoline through Ukraine to Europe for a further five years.

The new deal, outlined by Moscow and Kyiv on Saturday, eases concerns over whether Europe could lose access to a large portion of Russian gas, which the region depends on to fuel industry and heating.

Russia sends roughly 40% of its gas deliveries destined for Europe through Ukraine.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears now, that both countries want responsible leadership to bury old hatchets, and go about taking care of their citizens; this is a very positive turn of events.

Nordstream Sanctions a Sad Coda to U.S. Foreign Policy

The U.S. crossed the Rubicon this week. And I’m not talking about the ridiculous impeachment of President Trump for doing his job.

I’m talking about passing the NDAA with provisions to sanction ‘from hell’ anyone associated with completion of the Nordstream 2 pipeline. The U.S. is now openly dismissive as a matter of law any ally or partner who engages in economic activity it disapproves of.

'Gas War' Averted: Russia & Ukraine Agree To Crucial Transit Deal, Defying The Hawks

This isn't supposed to happen according to those neo-Cold War pundits who keep telling us Putin is not only bent on taking over Ukraine, but Europe as well — especially through gas and energy dominance.

Per FT, a major gas transit deal has been reached between Ukraine and Russia "in principle" and will likely be imminently signed into effect by Moscow and Kiev leadership, ultimately ending a standoff after Ukraine ceased buying gas directly from Gazprom in 2015:

European natural gas prices fell sharply on Friday after Russia and Ukraine reached a provisional deal to allow the continued transit of gas to Europe in the new year. A stand-off between the two countries had threatened to disrupt supplies to Europe when the existing contract expires on December 31.

Are Israel and Iran preparing for war?

(Darius Shahtahmasebi is a New Zealand-based legal and political analyst who focuses on US foreign policy in the Middle East, Asia and Pacific region. He is fully qualified as a lawyer in two international jurisdictions.)

While the US has proven somewhat reluctant to directly strike Iran or its forces, there is another power in the Middle East that appears to be increasingly willing and able to do so on Washington’s behalf: Israel.

Just last month, Israel made a rare admission that its military had carried out a “very intense” attack against Iranian forces and Syrian Army targets in Syria, killing at least 21 fighters and two civilians in the process.Earlier, the IDF destroyed a weapons depot for Iranian-backed forces in Iraq and allegedly undertook drone strikes on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump has given Netanyahu carte blanche to do anything he wants in the Middle East; unfortunately, such liberties given to Netanyahu, who is fighting for his political life, after a series of corruption charges were brought against him, was completely unwise, and absolutely not thought through.

And there is a new bill, which will most likely to hit Congress when it reconvenes in January, which Secretary of State Pompeo and Netanyahu conjured up during their last meeting, to bring the US and Israel even closer in terms of a defense posture for the US regarding Israel:

And how will this proposed pact affect the US/Israel, and the entire Middle East?!?

The following article, from digitalnews.com, spells it out for us:

Netanyahu and Pompeo push ahead with US Israel defense pact

The article goes on to state: "Netanyahu trying to use US connections to stay in power

Netanyahu is actually claiming that the deal shows he needs to stay in power because of his unique ties to the US. Details of the pact have not been released beyond the fact that it will commit the US to war to defend Israel. Those who know about the fact say that it in no way restricts Israel's practice of unilaterally attacking targets across the region. Israeli attacks on Syria and Iraq could continue."

HOLD ON, WHAT THE HELL WAS JUST STATED HERE?!? "THAT THE US WOULD GO TO WAR TO DEFEND ISRAEL?"

Forgive me, but Israel has one of the finest military on the planet; the top of the line defense weaponry; and nuclear weapons; why in the name of heaven should the US be saddled with having to defend it from its nearly pathologically wrong-headed inability to get along with any of its neighbors in the Middle East?!?

A Russian diplomat made the following promise to Iran last summer, which, of course, got no press in the US. Iran ‘Won’t Be Alone’ If U.S. Attacks, Russian Official Says

Watch for an even deeper demonization of Iran and Russia from the US presstitutes; and God help this country if this "defense pact" is ever approved of by Congress; when this passes (if the primary essense of this pact is not done by Executive Order), look for the US to be "defending" Israel not only from Iran, but Russia as well.

"Their Obsession With Weapons Is Crazy" - Gorbachev Warns US Is Bent On "Absolute Military Supremacy"

Authored by David Brennan via Newsweek.com,

Former Soviet premier Mikhail Gorbachev has urged President Donald Trump's administration to re-engage with Russia on landmark arms control treaties, warning that the collapse of Cold War-era nuclear weapon limits threatens global catastrophe.

Russia has also since suspended participation in the INF Treaty, prompting concerns of a new arms race. The infographic below, provided by Statista, shows the estimated global nuclear weapons arsenals as of December 2017.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Gorbachev is entirely correct in his assessment here; but I think the real reason President Trump wanted out of this most recent walkaway, was understanding just how far ahead Russia and China are ahead of us, in terms of advanced weaponry.

"You Should Not Get Closer To Our Borders" - Russia Deploys Hypersonic Missile Fighters To Arctic

Russia has deployed hypersonic missile fighters along the Arctic and Pacific coasts to protect its maritime borders, reported Izvestia.

The air-launched hypersonic missile is one of the most advanced weapons in the world, even sophisticated air defense systems have difficulty defending against its Mach 10 to Mach 12 speed.

With the deployment of the hypersonic missile fighters, one fleet in the Arctic and another in the Pacific, Russia will be able to deploy a rapid response countermeasure or even defensive maneuver across the Arctic and the North Pacific.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would politely suggest that, until the US has weaponry which can exceed what this fighter can do, that this country's leadership NOT try something stupid with either Russia, or nations it has (Syria) or may (Iran) well defend in the near term.

Nothing can hold back arms race if Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty with US is not renewed – Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned that a global arms race is inevitable if the US and Russia do not agree to extend the ten-year Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START), which is due to expire in early 2021.
Speaking at a Q&A session with reporters in Moscow on Thursday, Putin said that Russia stands ready “to simply renew the existing New START agreement,” even if it happens as fast as by the end of this year.

They can send us the [agreement] tomorrow, or we can sign and send it to Washington. Let their designated official sign it too, including the president, if they’re ready to do so.

“But so far our proposals have been left unanswered” by the US, Putin stressed.

If the New START ceases to exist, nothing in the world will hold back an arms race. I believe this is bad.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Putin is entirely correct in his assessment here; I think President Trump wants out of the treaty because right now, the US weapons manufacturers are collectively not providing weapons which can not even begin to compare with the new weaponry coming out of Russia and/or China.

A new arms race is the last thing the US, Russia, and China should be doing, because it puts the people of this planet at increased risk, that those horrifically destructive weapons will, ultimately, be used.

A world at peace has no need for this; and I have to wonder just what is going to convince world leaders to at least try for a little lessening of international tensions in 2020; unfortunately, looking at how geopolitical squabbles are getting sorted at the moment, I do not see this coming to fruition any time soon.

There is no 19 year old American who has not lived during a time of continuous war, most usually generated by the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika, and that .... is a pretty damned depressing statistic.

SAUDI OIL ATTACK AND CHOREOGRAPHED PROTESTS IN IRAN-ALIGNED COUNTRIES:

In order to bring home the significance of the Persian Gulf’s oil in the energy-starved industrialized world, here are a few stats from the OPEC data: Saudi Arabia has the world’s largest proven crude oil reserves of 265 billion barrels and its daily oil production is 10 million barrels; Iran and Iraq each has 150 billion barrels reserves and has the capacity to produce 5 million barrels per day each; while UAE and Kuwait each has 100 billion barrels reserves and produces 3 million barrels per day each; thus, all the littoral states of the Persian Gulf, together, hold 788 billion barrels, more than half of world’s 1477 billion barrels proven oil reserves.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The government of Iran may be many things; stupid, however, is not one of them.

They understand that anything which even looks like some kind of attack against American/Israeli assets in the region, would be followed by a counterattack which would turn Tehran into molten glass.

This is also why, when any kind of attack happens in the Middle East or beyond, against American/Israeli assets (and I wouldn't bet against this, right now), you will know for certain, that Iran had no part in it.

Putin and the ‘Biden Memorial Pipeline’ to China

In early 2014 Washington staged a blatant coup d’etat in Ukraine breaking the historic relationship with Russia and setting the stage for the subsequent NATO demonization of Russia. The one in charge for the Obama Administration of the Ukraine coup was then-Vice President Joe Biden. Today a bizarre Democrat impeachment attempt aimed at President Donald Trump has curiously enough put the spotlight on the dubious role that Joe Biden played in Ukraine affairs in 2014 and after. That Biden-steered coup had the unintended effect of causing a 180 degree geopolitical pivot of Moscow from West to East. The opening of a massive new gas pipeline now is only one of those unintended consequences.

NEW YORK FED PLANS TO THROW $2.93 TRILLION AT WALL STREET’S TRADING HOUSES OVER NEXT MONTH

SOURCE: RIGGED GAME
PAM MARTENS AND RUSS MARTENS OF WALL STREET ON PARADE.
One has to wonder how much money it would take for the New York Fed to throw at Wall Street before the New York Times reports to its readers on the biggest Wall Street bailout by the Fed since the financial crisis.

Last Thursday, December 12, the New York Fed announced that over the next month it would shower the trading houses (primary dealers) on Wall Street with a total of $2.93 trillion in short-term loans. The money is for a Wall Street liquidity crisis that has yet to be explained in credible terms to the American people and yet the New York Times does not appear to have an investigative reporter assigned to investigate what’s really going on just 11 years after those same trading houses blew themselves up in the biggest financial crash since the Great Depression and took the U.S. economy along for the ride.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As an individual who really tries to be frugal, the numbers being thrown around here, are almost dizzying, both in terms of magnitude, and what they mean for the American economy as a whole.

I am very deeply concerned about two issues here; first, the real possibility of a financial crash which would dwarf that which caused the American Great Depression of the 30s, and secondly, the reality that so far, the US government has gotten out of its financial straits through wars.

And have you noticed all the potential "boogie-man countries" recently against which the US media has been waving its collective warmongering digits ?

Let's see; there is China; Iran; Russia; and North Korea.

I would like to hope that all who want President Trump's first term in office to succeed, will share with him the following, butt-ugly reality here; The US military does not have the money; the weaponry; the manufacturing; or the troop strength, with which to win a war with any of the above-mentioned countries.

A war with North Korea almost guarantees a war with China; a war against Iran almost guarantees a war with Russia.

President Trump needs, desperately, to understand these very dark realities, and craft a foreign policy which moves as far away from war, as the American answer to these challenges, as he can possibly move that foreign policy.

US Concedes Defeat On Russia's Nord Stream 2 Pipeline Even As Sanctions Passed

A new Bloomberg headline reads “U.S. Concedes Defeat on Gas Pipeline It Sees as Russian Threat” just following new sanctions included in the House and Senate passed 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) this week.

But two administration officials tell Bloomberg it's too little too late, despite Trump's heightened rhetoric of calling Germany “a captive to Russia” and charging Berlin with essentially giving “billions” of dollars to Russia:

Senior U.S. administration officials, who asked not to be identified discussing the administration’s take on the project, said sanctions that passed Congress on Tuesday as part of a defense bill are too late to have any effect. The U.S. instead will try to impose costs on other Russian energy projects, one of the officials added.

That’s what the man says: Kremlin backs top general’s assessment that NATO is drilling for large-scale war

The Kremlin has said that it trusts the opinion of a senior Russian general, who has said that NATO's intensified drills this year are an indication that the military bloc is preparing for a major conflict.

Valery Gerasimov, the chair of the Russian General Staff, shared the wary view that the Russian military have about NATO's maneuvers on Tuesday as he gave a year-end briefing to foreign military attaches in Moscow.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the opinion was based on analyses of data collected by the Russian military and should not be dismissed.

"In this case the professional opinion may be the only correct one, so the presidential administration is in no position to put forward its own military assessment," he said.

Gerasimov said the increased number and scale of military exercises conducted by NATO members this year indicates that the alliance "is purposefully training its troops to be engaged in a major military conflict."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russian leadership may be many things; stupid, however, is not one of them.

I would like to very politely, but strongly, urge caution, on the part of NATO, to please define what it believes are its "enemies" with a great deal of care and consideration.

Moscow and Europe Dislike US Sanctions on Nord Stream 2, Measures Violate Int'l Law - Kremlin

The US Senate on 17 December passed a $738 billion defence bill for the 2020 fiscal year that, in particular, includes sanctions against Nord Stream 2, TurkStream, and bars military-to-military cooperation with Russia.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has slammed US sanctions on Nord Stream 2 as “a perfect example of unfair competition", saying that Washington is imposing more expensive gas on Europe. He continued on by saying that both "Moscow and Europe dislike US sanctions on Nord Stream 2, as these measures violate international law".

"We assume that this project will be completed", Peskov told reporters, when asked whether the construction of the pipeline could be halted due to the sanctions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Congrats, President Trump, for pushing Europe and Turkey closer into the Russian orbit, well done, sir!!

The heights of absurdity have absolutely been breached and reached, with the passage of these sanctions, and President Trump may well have absolutely inflicted the "coup de grace" on NATO, with this bone-headed, tone-deaf move, coupled with his screaming at NATO members for more money, at the Conference earlier this month.

Does the man actually play checkers?!?! And I ask this, because he seems to be completely maladroit at any action which resembles any real diplomacy, and that takes a vision of the long term, as chess does.

"Use Extreme Caution": Boaters Warned Of "Unsafe, Erratic" Russian Spy Ship Off Carolina Coast

A Russian spy ship which had been been sailing off the coast of South Carolina and Florida for the past few days has been a source of alarm for US authorities who say it's been operating in an “unsafe” and “erratic” manner.

It prompted an unusual US Coast Guard alert which warned boaters off South Carolina and Georgia to "use extreme caution", especially given the Russian ship, the Viktor Leonov, is avoiding any communication or direct contact with other ships alerting them to its passage, CNN reports. Though not unusual, the ship also turned off its locator when it got near the US coast.

"The United States Coast Guard has received reports indicating that the RFN VIKTOR LEONOV (AGI-175) has been operating in an unsafe manner off the coast of South Carolina and Georgia," the Coast Guard bulletin said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if this is not "payback" for some rather odd maneuvers US ships have done in the vicinity of Russian ships.

Brain Dead Congress Doesn’t Realize It’s Trying to Finish Off NATO

After what can only be termed a terrible NATO Not Summit two weeks ago it was clear the alliance has serious fissures forming in its facade.

It seems that the depths of our Congress’ cravenness before the desires of Israel knows no bottom. Erdogan has been explicit in his antipathy for Benjamin Netanyahu’s continued regional provocations to eke out a win in Syria.

Erdogan, Putin and Rouhani in Iran all know that Trump doesn’t have the stomach or the stupidity for war. So they have allowed the political forces in the U.S. to over-commit to a policy they can’t back up.

The Russia/China/Iran axis has simply played the ultimate game of attrition, reading the economic and political tea leaves perfectly while executing a pan-Eurasian strategy of integration through disengagement from U.S. and U.K. financial institutions. That strategy has failed. Trump knows it, but his State Dept. and CIA, as well as those of the U.K., France and Germany, refuse to accept defeat.

China and Russia Try Lifting North Korea Sanctions They Helped Install, but It’s Already Too Late

Trump who was too much of a coward to put any concessions on the table in Hanoi is blowing up the Korean nuclear freeze. Russia and China are trying to save the freeze, by doing Trump should have done, and remove the very top layer of UNSC sanctions declared in 2017. As the Russians correctly point out Pyongyand should be rewarded for its willingness to talk and to limit and downscale its nuclear capabilities.

Of course, the effort was doomed from the start. US has veto power in the UNSC, so this is an illusion. In fact, as things stand the US and its Western European poodles won’t even let the Russian Chinese-backed proposal be voted on.

Putin to Americans: You Bring Back Nuclear Missiles to Europe, I’ll Park Mine in the Atlantic

The US has torn up the INF nuclear treaty which prohibited land-based mid-range conventional and nuclear missiles. Russians expect the next step for the US is to bring mid-range nuclear missiles aimed at Russia to Europe as they did in the 1980s.

Putin has made it clear if that happens, the Russian response will not be simply to deploy its own land-based missiles aimed at European hosts of American missiles as was the case in the 1980s, but to also park such missiles under the waters of the Atlantic aimed at the US.

DONBASS “TERRORISTS”- 3 MONTHS TO LIVE?

It’s all starting to make sense. All of a sudden, I get the picture. See right through the scam. Which ain’t that hard to do, if you’ve been paying attention, which I have been. Paying attention is what you do when your life depends on it, as mine does, as those of my family and friends here do, and maybe, just maybe, as yours do too. So pay attention. These are dangerous times.

Carload Of Fur Coats Tells A Ghastly Tale Of Burglary And Murder

“It threw me into a fever”: A resident of Ukraine told a shocking story about the sale of property of Donbass residents in Lviv

From the very beginning of the war, Ukrainian militants, called “defenders” in their country, in addition to shelling the territory of Donbass with heavy weapons, also broke into homes of Donbass residents, killed them and took property to replenish the pockets of their relatives in Ukraine. “ATO volunteers”, in turn, eagerly helped sell their items. One of the shocking cases was told on her Facebook page by user Lyusya Khramova.

According to the woman, in 2015 she decided to purchase warm clothes before winter, in particular a fur coat.

“In Lviv, quite often moonlighters bring in furs from Europe, furs that they bought there at sales, so you can find a fur coat, albeit not the latest model, but of very good quality.

Fires Rage In Canada As Professor Attacks The Myth Of Holodomor

University of Alberta Assistant Professor Dougal MacDonald raised hell on November 20 by writing in a personal Facebook post that the 1932-33 genocide of Ukrainians referred to as Holodomor never happened but was rather a “myth fabricated by Hitlerites”.

If such remarks were made in most nations today, it wouldn’t be such a big deal (as only 16 nations have chosen to recognize this event as an act of genocide rather than the tragic act of nature which MacDonald and countless eminent scholars maintain.)

Pentagon chiefs say US troops to stay in Syria for years

Barely two months after US President Donald Trump’s demagogic announcement that he was pulling US troops out of northeastern Syria to fulfill his campaign promise to bring a halt to Washington’s “endless wars,” the senior civilian and uniformed Pentagon chiefs told a House panel Wednesday that there is no foreseeable end to the American presence there.

Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Mark Milley maintained in their testimony to the House Armed Services Committee that the US military was staying in Syria to assure the “enduring defeat” of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), and that the fulfillment of that goal is likely years away.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, Defense Secretary Esper and Joint Chiefs Staff Milley: But has Russia's President Putin received the memo, that this is continued, endless occupation of Syria, is coming?!?

Just asking, gentlemen; just asking.

China Quietly Ramps Up Oil Production In Iran

Authored by Simon Watkins via OilPrice.com,

The supergiant Azadegan oil field, comprising major north and south sites, is as important to Iran’s overall strategic plan to survive the current sanctions environment and to prosper when they are lifted as the flagship South Pars supergiant gas field and the added-value products of its petrochemicals sector. Last week Iran’s Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) announced that five new development wells and an appraisal well are to be spudded in North Azadegan to maintain current production levels. OilPrice.com understands from various senior energy sources in Iran that this is only part of the picture, with much bigger plans having been agreed for rollout in the coming six months with the help of China and Russia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And what, pray, does the US and NATO have in store for the world, in about 4- 6 months' time?!?

rReforger Redux-Defender 2020 to be the 3rd larges exercise in Europe since the Conld War

And from Google.com, we learn the following: Schedule: NATO's Defender 2020

The story goes on to state: "The joint, multinational training exercise is scheduled to take place from April to May 2020, with personnel and equipment movements occurring from February through July 2020. The exercise supports objectives defined by NATO to build readiness within the alliance and deter potential adversaries".

Unfortunately, geopolitically "awakened" (I won't say "woke", because it is just lousy English, sorry) people could see this coming from a mile away. in an early November edition of the blog, FtRuss.com, comes the following article: HERE WE GO AGAIN: Russian ‘Threat’ Back On NATO’s Agenda

But read just a little further from www.defensenews, and you will, in a very very clear and uncompromised manner, understand who the "enemies" are, in this; Russia, and China of course.

And of course, right at the very end of this, the author of this article, one Jen Judson, "steps in it", mightily, regarding why NATO and the US are ticked at Russia, where the following assertion is made: "After Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, the U.S. began to invest in a buildup in Europe to deter Russia from acting similarly in another country."

Jen, for God's sake, "denial", is not a River in Egypt; wake up, and smell the Selective Memory Disorder Syndrome, from which you are obviously suffering, horrifically, in order to make such a claim.

Fact # 1: President Obama admitted, in an interview on CNN with George Stephanopoulos, that he had been part of a European effort to "regime change" Kiev" in 2014:? Washington Was Behind Ukraine Coup: Obama admits that US “Brokered a Deal” in Support of “Regime Change”

Fact 2: Victoria Nuland, Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian affairs, bragged about what the US spent to regime change in Ukraine: The United States spent $5 billion on Ukraine anti-government riots

Fact 3: Post-Poroshenko coup, the people of Crimea did two things; they held a referendum, asking the Crimeans if they wanted to remain with Ukraine, or petition Russia to become a part of the Russian Federation. Crimea referendum: Voters 'back Russia union'

Fact 4: When the Crimean people petitioned Russia, to be accepted as part of the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation did accept the country.

Jen, there was no annexation; this was simply a people, the Crimeans, who were exercising one of the most important human rights cherished under the NU Universal Declaration of the Rights of Man, to which Russia, Ukraine, and the US, are all signatories: peaceful self-determination.

You have, obviously, made the choice to keep shilling US government propaganda, in order to empower any narrative which cannot actually stand on its own, and here, it was that Russia "allegedly annexed" Crimea, an action which never really happened, in fact.

Wikileaks Document Shows John Podesta’s Emails Were Hacked in 2016 By the Ukraine, Not Russia – Creepy Podesta Brothers and Hillary Connected to Largest Russian Bank

Evidence shows that the Podesta emails were hacked by someone in the Ukraine, not Russia. This could be because the creepy Podesta Brothers represented and lobbied for Russia’s largest bank.

An email has been uncovered that was part of the Podesta email dump that was released by WikiLeaks shortly before the 2016 election.

The email shows that John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Chairman, was hacked by someone in the Ukraine — according to the location stamp.

Interesting that this is the case with the Ukraine now so much in the news. This effort to obtain Podesta’s emails by someone in the Ukraine may be because the creepy Podesta brothers were representing and lobbying for Russia’s largest bank, Sberbank.

Hillary was closely tied to the Russians through this bank:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Color me thoroughly unsurprised at these revelations.
