California Water Wars: Another Form of Asset Stripping?

In California’s epic drought, wars over water rights continue, while innovative alternatives for increasing the available water supply go untapped.

Wars over California’s limited water supply have been going on for at least a century. Water wars have been the subject of some vintage movies, including the 1958 hit The Big Country starring Gregory Peck, Clint Eastwood’s 1985 Pale Rider, 1995’s Waterworld with Kevin Costner, and the 2005 film Batman Begins. Most acclaimed was the 1975 Academy Award winner Chinatown with Jack Nicholson and Faye Dunaway, involving a plot between a corrupt Los Angeles politician and land speculators to fabricate the 1937 drought in order to force farmers to sell their land at low prices. The plot was rooted in historical fact, reflecting battles between Owens Valley farmers and Los Angeles urbanites over water rights.

WTC 7 & Nano-thermite Evidence Admitted in Danish High Court

The High Court session had it all — persuasive forensic evidence, courtroom drama, and the strong voice of a reputable scientist who expertly defended the basic laws of physics as well as the evidence of nano-thermite in the WTC dust. Though the verdict will not be known until April 9, it is clear to this observer that Dr. Harrit did an excellent job, not only solidifying his integrity and expertise in the eyes of the public, but also advancing the cause of the 9/11 Truth Movement in the process.

BOEING PATENTS 'STAR WARS'-STYLE FORCE FIELDS

Aircraft and military manufacturer Boeing has been granted a patent on a system that is designed to prevent explosion shockwaves from harming a target.? ?A new patent granted to aircraft, defense and security company Boeing is taking its cues from science fiction. Just like the glowing energy shields seen protecting troops, machines and even spacecraft in Star Wars and Star Trek, the design -- named "Method and system for shockwave attenuation via electromagnetic arc" -- uses energy to deflect potential damage.

Nitrogen discovered on Mars: Key ingredient of life provides further evidence that the red planet was once habitable

The evidence for Mars once being habitable is steadily growing, as samples collected by Nasa’s Mars Curiosity rover have revealed a key ingredient for life in Martian rock.

Scientists found traces of nitrogen compounds known as nitrates, a vital source of nutrients for living things on Earth.

The discovery is the latest feather in the cap for the theory that while Mars is barren and dry now, it was once habitable.

Recently Vaccinated Individuals Found to Spread Disease

Most likely you've seen this propaganda being circulated widely in the media. Some parents of children who are immunocompromised and therefore unable to receive the vaccines themselves, for instance, have targeted non-vaxing parents, calling them irresponsible and even killers.

It is sad to see so many lies and misinformation being spread, including those about herd immunity. Another important factor that isn't widely appreciated is that recently vaccinated individuals may actually spread disease.

This is why, in the Johns Hopkins Patient Guide for immunocompromised patients, it makes no mention about avoiding non-vaccinated individuals… but it does mention avoiding "contact with children who are recently vaccinated."

Monsanto chief admits ‘hubris’ is to blame for public fears over GM

The American company that produced the world’s first genetically modified crop has admitted for the first time that its “hubris” in promoting the technology contributed to a consumer backlash against genetically modified food.

Speaking to The Independent, the chief executive of Monsanto conceded that the company had failed to appreciate public concerns over GM technology when it was introduced nearly 20 years ago.

And he also said that the company had suffered by making “the wrong call” when it failed to rebrand itself in the aftermath of the botched launch of GM in Europe.

Meat demand sparks dramatic rise in antibiotic use – report

Demand for meat across the world has caused a sharp increase in farmers’ use of antibiotics, with China and the United States at the top of the list. The use of antimicrobial drugs is projected to rise drastically by 2030.

Pig farmers use four times as many drugs as cattle ranchers, with poultry farms falling somewhere in between, says a study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences last week. China, the world’s largest pork producer, is also the world’s biggest consumer of antibiotics in farming. The US comes in second, consuming 10 percent, while Brazil, India and Germany round off the top five.

Smart Meter Information Consumers Should Know

Catherine J. Frompovich

Over the course of a year that my electric power company in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been installing AMI Smart Meters on homes in my area, I have been able to keep one off my house by placing a “No Permission Granted to Install Smart Meter” sign on the meter along with a padlock on the meter latch. Early in February of 2015, I received what I perceived as a threatening letter to my health, safety, and well-being, that if I don’t give PECO permission to install a Smart Meter, my electric power will be turned off, and not because I’ve not paid my bill! No utility bill wherever my late husband or I have lived ever was missed or even made as a late payment! So, I’ve decided to tell my story of what’s been going on in the USA about Smart Meters...

Mainstream media falls for California wine arsenic HOAX story: wine industry victimized by scientifically illiterate reporting

While the media headlines shown above may sound convincing, the truth is that the accusations are part of an outlandish hoax. The lawsuit's claims are blatantly false, and the California wine industry is being unfairly victimized by what I see as a highly irresponsible attempt to extort money from wine makers through a junk science lawsuit that suffers from fatal errors I will explain here.

The group that put out the original press release, it seems, is trying to drum up lab testing business from other wine and beer manufacturers. The mainstream media played right into the hoax, providing them with enormous free publicity even as they conducted what I have to call really BAD science.

Dissolving Illusions About the Measles Vaccine

With the elevation of vaccination to a sacred cow status, it is no wonder that ever since about 50 visitors to Disneyland in California were diagnosed with measles earlier this year, the whole country has been subjected to a relentless barrage of mainstream media articles blaming unvaccinated children for a minor measles outbreak that, by March 16, 2015, consisted of a grand total of 176 cases.2 in a population of 320 million people.

The way public health officials and the media have been promoting irrational fear about measles and using it to lobby for laws eliminating all non-medical vaccine exemptions or even criminally prosecuting and jailing unvaccinated people, it sometimes feels like we are living in a dystopian science fiction novel.

I have never seen such a well-coordinated disinformation campaign to vilify virtually anyone who would question the effectiveness and safety of complying with the CDC's ever-expanding vaccination schedule.3

Costa Rica powered with 100% renewable energy for 75 straight days

The ICE says the country's zero-emission milestone was enabled thanks to heavy rainfalls at four hydroelectric power facilities in the first quarter of 2015. These downpours have meant that, for the months of January, February and so far March, there has been no need to burn fossil fuels to generate electricity.

Instead, Costa Rica has been powered primarily by hydro power - both pumped storage and run-of-the-river plants - and a mixture of geothermal, wind, biomass and solar energy.

It’s important to remember that Costa Rica is a small nation. It has a total area of about 51,000 square kilometres, which is about half the size of the US state of Kentucky, and it has a population of only 4.8 million people. Furthermore, its primary industries are tourism and agriculture, rather than heavy, more energy-intensive industries such as mining or manufacturing.

Supernatural Agriculture

Supernatural Agriculture is a web site devoted to the inherent spirituality of growing food & medicine in a way that respects the environment of this unique planet we all share. Up until the beginning of 20th century, the ability to survive and thrive on this planet depended on having an intimate relationship with the forces of nature; our global economy was literally fueled by the sun and the process of photosynthesis. We grew most of our food, fiber, fuel and pharmaceuticals. With the exploitation of coal and oil, our lifestyle changed from a carbohydrate based reality to one fueled by hydrocarbons. Survival and security was now in the hands of the oil and banking interests. Instead of the small family farmer, the banks, corporations, and laboratories now grew the food and food-like substances we now get at the local supermarket.

Has this change from carbohydrates to hydrocarbons made for a happier and healthier global culture? Has it brought stability and wealth to our lives?

Drought-ravaged L.A. looking to 'sponge up' every bit of rainwater

This area of Los Angeles is what economists might call "economically disadvantaged." But one block in the heart of this struggling neighbourhood has gone through a $2.7-million retrofit.

Now, on this block, instead of channelling the rainwater run-off to the sea, the city is collecting it.

For a state that is in the midst of a massive three-year drought, and a city that has already begun water rationing, this is, almost literally, a godsend.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Maybe if the Federal Government had allowed the water management system in this country deteriorate through neglect in order to spend the taxpayers' money on wars and Wall Street, Los Angeles would not be in this mess! But as of now, the aquaduct system and water mains are cracked and leaking millions of gallons of drinking water into areas that do not need it. But human-caused global warming gets the blame!

Local Newspaper Dares to Report About Vaccine-Damaged Children Receiving Financial Compensation from Vaccine Court

The corporate media won’t report such cases because their bottom line is more important than being honest with their readers, but vaccine damages do occur, even if the big newspapers don’t want to risk their pharmaceutical industry ad purchases to tell you about them.

But not all media is corrupted in that manner, so our hats go off to the small-time Charlotte Observer, of Charlotte, North Carolina, which had the courage to tell the story of a local resident whose child has no future, thanks to vaccines.

As the paper reported in its February 28 edition online:

As they started their family, Mooresville residents Theresa and Lucas Black dutifully got their children immunized, never doubting their doctor’s word that vaccines are safe and necessary.

But their faith in those promises was shaken in 2001, when their 3-month-old daughter, Angelica, developed life-threatening seizures and brain damage just three days after getting several vaccinations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF you are a parent with a small child, please get all the pros and cons of vaccinations.

Please be aware that your Doctor has been fully indoctrinated by the pharmaceutical industrial complex that all is well here with all vaccines, including the combination vaccines, but that may well not be the reality.

Just check the facts, before you go into any medical office to get your kids vaccinated, because your doctor has been trained to protect the pharmaceutical industry over and above your kids.

Colombia drug debate revived as herbicide deemed carcinogen

The new labeling of the world's most-popular weed killer as a likely cause of cancer is raising more questions for an aerial spraying program in Colombia that is the cornerstone of the U.S.-backed war on drugs.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer, a French-based research arm of the World Health Organization, has reclassified the herbicide glyphosate as a result of what it said is convincing evidence the chemical produces cancer in lab animals and more limited findings it causes non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in humans.

The ruling on Thursday is likely to send shockwaves around the globe, where the glyphosate-containing herbicide Roundup is a mainstay of industrial agriculture.

If someone were observing the fires in WTC 7 and able to determine, in the last few moments of the building’s existence, that a peculiar set of circumstances was beginning to threaten the building, that would be one thing. But to receive warnings of the building’s collapse well before this set of circumstances arose raises suspicion. Yet, a detailed study of the FDNY reports shows that of the thirty-three cases where the time of warning can be determined, in ten cases warnings were received two or more hours in advance, and in six cases warnings were apparently received four or more hours in advance. (See MacQueen’s “Waiting for Seven…” at page 4.) In other words, the warnings came long before the unique set of circumstances had allegedly come together to cause the building’s collapse.

The Great GMO Legitimation Crisis

Even with this power and political influence at its disposal, the GMO agritech industry is far from being a success. Much of its profits actually derive from failure: for example, Andrew Kimbrell notes that after having chosen to ignore science, the industry’s failing inputs are now to be replaced with more destined-to-fail and ever-stronger poisonous inputs. The legacy of poisoned environments and ecological devastation is for someone else to deal with. In his book, Steven Druker has shown that from very early on the US government has colluded with the GMO agritech sector to set a ‘technical fix-failure-technical fix‘ merry-go-round in motion.

This system is designed to stumble from one crisis to the next, all the while hiding behind the banners of ‘innovation’ or ‘research and development’. But it’s all good business. And that’s all that really matters to the industry.

Liberia investigates how latest Ebola patient got infected, after weeks with no cases

Liberian officials were investigating Saturday how the country's latest Ebola patient became infected, after weeks with no cases of the disease in the country.

Liberia has seen the most deaths in the Ebola outbreak, with more than 4,200 of the more than 10,000 dead across West Africa. Since Liberia discharged its last case on March 5, it was counting down the 42 days that a country must wait in order to be declared Ebola-free.

But on Friday, officials said a new patient tested positive. In a worrying sign, she doesn't seem to be linked to any of the people on an Ebola contacts list and says she has not traveled recently to the neighboring infected countries of Sierra Leone and Guinea, said Dr. Francis Kateh, acting head of the Liberia Ebola Case Management Team.

World Health Organization Admits Roundup “Probably” Causes Cancer

For over 40 years Monsanto’s patented glyphosate formula, better known as Roundup, has become a staple for farmers, gardeners, and landscapers. Monsanto has gone so far as to create genetically modified crops capable of withstanding massive amounts of the pesticide without dying. These “Roundup Ready” crops, such as corn, soy, and canola, have since come to dominate America’s agricultural industry.

But over the years, many researchers have questioned whether these heavily sprayed crops are safe for human consumption. As time goes on, it appears that some institutions are beginning to change their tune on the popular pesticide.

WHO Declares that Glyphosate Herbicides Probably Cause Cancer

The World Health Organisation’s cancer agency has declared the world’s most widely used weedkiller – glyphosate – a “probable human carcinogen” in a move that will alarm the agrochemical industry and amateur gardeners.

The assessment by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) of glyphosate, which is used in herbicides with estimated annual sales of USD 6 Billion, will be of special concern to Monsanto, the company that brought glyphosate to market under the trade name Roundup in the 1970s...

Is mass over-vaccination causing polio-like paralysis in children?

The tens of thousands of polio vaccine victims reported in India aren't an anomaly, as similar polio-like conditions have been observed following the administration of HPV vaccines, meningitis vaccines, flu vaccines and more right here in the U.S.

Multiple reports of young girls collapsing and becoming paralyzed after being injected with Merck's Gardasil vaccine, for instance, have been compiled by Judicial Watch from Food and Drug Administration adverse event reports. Reported symptoms include muscle weakness, inability to stand or walk, and loss of limb function.

Flu shots have also been implicated in causing polio-like paralysis, including in a young girl from Tampa, Florida, who reportedly suffered total incapacitation after being jabbed, the result of the vaccine triggering brain inflammation in the form of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, or ADEM.

Leaky pipes cost America 1 trillion gallons of water per year - 9% of California's water deficit

As obsolete, unattended plumbing in our houses crumble, millions of gallons of water are lost each day. A few drips coming out of the kitchen faucet or showerhead might not seem like a lot to you, but even the smallest leak means gallons of water lost.

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), an average American household wastes around 10,000 gallons of water each year through leaky pipes, toilets and faucets.

These easy-to-fix leaks can annually add up to a loss of more than 1 trillion gallons. To give you an idea, that's about the amount of water needed to supply 11 million homes for one full year, or 9% of California's water deficit.

Liberia Officials: New Patient Tests Positive for Ebola

A patient has tested positive for Ebola in Liberia’s capital, officials said Friday, deflating hopes that the West African nation had beaten the disease after weeks with no new cases.

Liberia has seen the most deaths in the West African Ebola outbreak, which has killed more than 10,000 people. But since it discharged its last case on March 5, it was counting down to being declared Ebola-free. Countries must wait 42 days from when the last patient tests negative before an outbreak is declared over.

Monsanto Pesticides Cause Cancer, United Nations Claims

Monsanto's cash cow weedkiller Roundup probably causes cancer, according to a new report from the United Nation's cancer research organization.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), published a report in the journal Lancet Oncology on Friday with findings on three pesticides, including Monsanto's best-selling brand.

The report found that the herbicide glyphosate — the active chemical ingredient in Roundup — and two insecticides, malathion and diazinon, were "probably carcinogenic." The conclusion was based on "limited evidence" of cancer among humans.
With grain prices falling - and farm profits along with them - some farmers are moving away from genetically modified crops to more lucrative conventional ones.

HUGE: Monsanto Sued for Dumping Carcinogenic Chemicals

The city of San Diego and the San Diego Unified Port District filed a lawsuit on Monday against the biotech giant Monsanto, accusing the company for polluting the city’s bay for more than 30 years with a carcinogenic chemical that was long ago banned due to its abhorrent affects on human health.

The chemicals in question are Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs). According to a report published by Food & Water Watch, the biotech bully is responsible for creating more than 99% of this dangerous chemical. It has been found in the bay’s sediments, the water, and in the tissues of multiple forms of aquatic life including in fish and lobster sampled from the bay.
