The Scary Temptation Of War In Syria

After the Soviet Union launched a full-scale invasion of Afghanistan in December 1979, President Jimmy Carter remarked to a television interviewer that this event had “made a more dramatic change in my opinion of what the Soviets’ ultimate goals are than anything they’ve done in the previous time I’ve been in office.”

Trust In The U.S. Was Bombed Away

Despite apparent internal dispute over the validity of the intelligence that Assad’s regime unleased a poison gas attack on ISIS, president Trump bombed Syrian air force assets. According one of Parry’s CIA sources, the gas attack was a staged “false flag” event designed to provoke Trump into reversing his recent policy pronouncement that it would not seek regime change in Syria. It’s also been questioned as to whether or not the gas released was even Sarin.

The Airstrikes In Syria And The War Drive Of American Imperialism

In the aftermath of last week’s cruise missile attack on Syria, the relentless logic of military escalation is driving decisions in Washington. The US political establishment and media are demanding that the action be followed up by a “comprehensive strategy” to overthrow Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and escalate the confrontation with Russia.

Analysis of evidence contradicts allegations on Syrian gas attacks

For three years now, it’s been alleged and that Syrian government forces have systematically used helicopters to drop chlorine gas on civilians in rebel-held areas of the country. Amid repeated efforts to impose new sanctions on Syria over the widely accepted charges, another reminder was dropped on March 25: a direct chlorine attack on an underground hospital in Hama province was said to kill at least two, including a surgeon, Dr. Ali Darwish (photo at right). Scott Adams: Trusting Your Government in a Time of War

President Trump’s critics and supporters agree on one thing: Our new president has a history of “stretching” the truth whenever there is some advantage in doing so, and sometimes even when there is not. You might say he is famous for playing loose with the facts. We all expect a high degree of “hyperbole” from President Trump, to put it kindly. He gets away with it because barely-enough Americans believe his intentions are in line with America’s best interests.

The odd exception to our universal understanding of President Trump’s mode of operation is his claim that he is totally certain Assad was responsible for the chemical attack on his own people last week. The President’s critics and most of his supporters believe President Trump when he suggests that our military can track any plane in Syria and know what that plane did to whom.

Do you believe that?

The West and Its Allies Seek to Install the “Black Flag of Terrorism” Over Syria

The recent false flag terror attack in Idlib Syria recalls an earlier massacre by NATO forces on September 17, 2016 when Coalition warplanes attacked Syria Arab Army positions at al-Tharda Mountain in the region of Deir ez-Zor.

Each attack was for the benefit of ISIS terrorists. The direct attack on SAA soldiers at al-Tharda Mountain allowed ISIS terrorists to quickly occupy the strategic location, and the recent false flag attack provided a fake pretext for the U.S to launch a (poorly planned and executed) attack on the Shayrat air base — a facility used by the SAA to attack ISIS positions.

In fact, the entire terrorist infrastructure is strengthened with each and every initiative taken by the West and its extremist allies against the legitimate, elected, secular, socially-oriented, Syrian government.

Illegal sanctions, described recently by U.S Congressman Dennis Kucinich at the EuroCSE conference, as “war by other means”, also serve to advance terrorist capabilities.

Russia-Baiting Pushed Trump to Attack Syria — and Increases the Risks of Nuclear Annihilation

Vast efforts to portray Donald Trump as Vladimir Putin’s flunky have given Trump huge incentives to prove otherwise. Last Thursday, he began the process in a big way by ordering a missile attack on Russia’s close ally Syria. In the aftermath of the attack, the cheerleading from U.S. mass media was close to unanimous, and the assault won lots of praise on Capitol Hill. Finally, the protracted and fervent depictions of Trump as a Kremlin tool were getting some tangible results.

At this point, the anti-Russia bandwagon has gained so much momentum that a national frenzy is boosting the odds of unfathomable catastrophe. The world’s two nuclear superpowers are in confrontation mode.

It’s urgent to tell ourselves and each other: Wake up!

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russian President Putin and Prime Minister Medvedev, a word please.

Gentlemen, I would like to assure you that no thinking American I know wishes to go to war with your country.

In my case, I am a Christian Activist Pacifist/Witness, consistently exhorting my government to achieve its geopolitical goals through hard-won, moral diplomacy, rather than war.

I am utterly appalled at what the US President ordered to be done in Syria last week, and pray for all those killed and injured, as well as those who were killed and injured in the St. Petersburg blast.

Although President Trump is the country's president, and we allegedly have a Congress which is supposed to represent the will of the American people, all I see, from the presstitutes to the fawning members of Congress who saw the strike as "Presidential" to "the utterly right thing to do", is that my will, which can best be articulated as the concept of peace through trade, was not represented at all.

One of the most crucial personality traits of an excellent leader is that of restraint; and whether President Trump is getting manipulated intel data, or whether he is getting blackmailed in some way, the man demonstrated, last Thursday, that he has no restraint whatsoever.

I am watching the "crawl" from "Faux News", and they are claiming that a CBS poll claims that most Americans polled approved of these airstrikes.

I would strongly suspect that the poll was either "push polling", i.e., polling a specific demographic (Brooklyn, maybe?!?), where the pollsters can be certain of a a specific outcome, or that they were polling the criminally insane.

Make America Neocon Again

By Gilad Atzmon

It doesn’t take a military analyst to grasp that the American attack on a remote Syrian airfield contradicts every possible military rationale. If America really believed that Assad possessed a WMD stockpile and kept it in al-Shayrat airbase, launching a missile attack that could lead to a release of lethal agents into the air would be the last thing it would do. If America was determined to ‘neutralise’ Assad’s alleged ‘WMD ability’ it would deploy special forces or diplomacy. No one defuses WMD with explosives, bombs or cruise missiles. It is simply unheard of.

America targeted al-Shayrat because it knew with certainty that there were no WMD in that location. It was a firework show. It had no military objective.

Wag The Dog — How Al Qaeda Played Donald Trump And The American Media

Normally, such major policy change could only be explained by a new reality driven by verifiable facts. The alleged chemical weapons attack against Khan Sheikhoun was not a new reality; chemical attacks had been occurring inside Syria on a regular basis, despite the international effort to disarm Syria’s chemical weapons capability undertaken in 2013 that played a central role in forestalling American military action at that time. International investigations of these attacks produced mixed results, with some being attributed to the Syrian government (something the Syrian government vehemently denies), and the majority being attributed to anti-regime fighters, in particular those affiliated with Al Nusra Front, an Al Qaeda affiliate.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: President Trump went off absolutely half-cocked, with this bombing run on a Syrian military base, because he had no definitive evidence as to who actually perpetrated this chemical poisoning in Syria.

And now, his national security advisor, Mc Masters is attempting to sell him on a pre-emptive full-on invasion of Syria, which will most likely mean war with Russia.

This is about as insane as any foreign policy suggestion as any I have heard over the years, and ultimately, cui bono?!? Who benefits?!?

If the US and Russia blow each other to bloody bits, it will be Israel who will be the benefactor of such mutual destruction, because it will leave Israel in control of all the Middle East's oil.

So, as is the mantra at WRH, don't panic; please plan.

FLASHBACK - Top Journalist Says Hillary Approved Sending Sarin to Rebels Used to Frame Assad, Start Syrian War

World renowned journalist Seymour Hersh has revealed, in a series of interviews and books, that the Obama Administration falsely blamed the government of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad for the sarin gas attack that Obama was trying to use as an excuse to invade Syria.

As Eric Zuesse explained in Strategic Culture, Hersh pointed to a report from British intelligence saying that the sarin that was used didn’t come from Assad’s stockpiles. Hersh also said that a secret agreement in 2012 was reached between the Obama Administration and the leaders of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, to set up a sarin gas attack and blame it on Assad so that the US could invade and overthrow Assad.

Trump's National Security Advisor Planning 'Full-Scale War' in Syria

According to independent journalist Mike Cernovich, National Security Advisor H. R. McMaster is trying to get Trump to sign off on a plan that would put 150,000 US troops on the ground in Syria.

According to Cernovich:

Current National Security Adviser Herbert Raymond “H. R.” McMaster is manipulating intelligence reports given to President Donald Trump, Cernovich Media can now report. McMaster is plotting how to sell a massive ground war in Syria to President Trump with the help of disgraced former CIA director and convicted criminal David Petraeus, who mishandled classified information by sharing documents with his mistress.

As NSA, McMaster’s job is to synthesize intelligence reports from all other agencies. President Trump is being given an inaccurate picture of the situation in Syria, as McMaster is seeking to involve the U.S. in a full scale war in Syria.

The McMaster-Petraeus plan calls for 150,000 American ground troops in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but has this gentleman become foaming-at-the- mouth, barking dog mad, to make such a suggestion?!?

I think the big thing McMaster needs to explain to the American people, who, most likely will see their sons and daughters drafted, slaughtered, and maimed for life, as the result of such an invasion is, how he expects Putin's government to respond to such an invasion of Syria?!?

I am not a betting woman, but were I, I would not bet that Putin and the Russian Duma will, thank you very much, sit quietly, humming "Kumbya", and do nothing, should such a US invasion happen.

Sanders calls on Trump to come to Congress over Syria strikes

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Sunday said President Trump did not have the authority to launch missile strikes on the Syrian regime and called on the president to seek approval from Congress before any other actions.

“I think he has got to come to the United States Congress. I think he has got to explain to us what his long-term goals are,” Sanders told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Trump last week ordered the U.S. military to conduct missile strikes on a Syrian airfield believed to be the launching point of a chemical weapons attack that killed at least 70 civilians. The United States has placed blame for the attack on Syrian President Bashar Assad.

US Vows to Keep Pressure on Syria as Hawks Urge More Attacks

Following Thursday’s missile attacks against Syria, the Trump Administration has vowed to keep the pressure up against the Syrian government, though exactly what that means means uncertain, with officials sending mixed signals on whether they’re going to militarily impose regime change on Syria or not.

In the meantime, they can expect to hear non-stop heckling from various hawks, demanding more attacks and more aggression as a matter of course, and insisting anything short of that would be taken as a sign of weakness by the international community.

And where there is hawkish sentiment to be expressed, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R – SC) won’t be far behind. Graham today insisted that by continuing to carry out airstrikes from the base the United States attacked, Syria was telling President Trump “F you.” He went on to demand 5,000 to 6,000 US ground troops be sent to Syria, both to wipe out ISIS and then to impose regime change therein.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word here, please.

Is there even a plan here, post-bombing, and punishing the wrong people for what they did hot do?!?

Because if there is not a plan, there really needs to be an adult in the room, in the bowels of power in DC, who understands all the ramifications of the bombing, and where, reasonably, the US can (and morally, should) go from here.

The US military has just bombed the assets of a sovereign nation, against which it has not declared war, and this has been done through executive order only, when Congress is Constitutionally given the power to declare war.

And Senator Graham, where are these 5,000 to 7,000 troops you are insisting Trump send to Syria, going to come from, please?!?

The US military is already overstretched to the max, in terms of troop strength, so President Trump would have to pull them from somewhere else, to deploy them inside Syria.

Senator Graham knows that such a move will most probably mean war with Russia, but absolutely doesn't give a damn about the price in blood and money which will have to be spent to get such a war going.

One has to wonder just how much of Senator Graham's portfolio is invested in the military/industrial complex.

Senator Lindsey Graham's net worth is $3 million dollars

Such a war would almost immediately necessitate the reintroduction of a military draft.

French editorial: "Trump has just made his first major international mistake"

One can understand that Donald Trump felt emotional seeing these small bodies killed by sarin gas. But didn't he act too quickly, shooting off his Tomahawk fire at the Syrian military airport in Shayrat? Didn't he thus contradict his desire not to have America play the gendarme of the world? Had he not infringed the sovereignty of a country whose president he had defended a few days before?

One can fear the worst, if he were to take up a desire for retribution or revenge by triggering the nuclear fire of which he is the only one to possess the key! That he reacted so with Merkel and Holland, but with Putin's total disapproval, could be pardoned if he were assured that it was the Syrian air force that bombarded the town of Khan Sheikhun with chemical weapons.

President Trump’s former enemies in the mainstream media, which he has characterized as purveyors of “fake news,” turned on a dime the moment he bombed Syria: the Establishment was thrilled that, suddenly, he was acting “presidential.” CNN, a particular target of the President’s ire, was gushing: NBC’s Brian Williams, in a bizarre turn of phrase, hailed the “beauty” of the bombing, which killed a number of civilians. Democratic party politicians, with few exceptions, stood at attention and saluted, while Trump’s Republican critics – notably John McCain and Lindsey Graham – praised the President while taking the opportunity to agitate for more extensive military action.

He urged establishing a no-fly zone, grounding Syria’s air force, arming anti-government terrorists more than already, and ousting Assad - a virtual declaration of war on Russia if these policies are instituted.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – APRIL 8, 2017: US DEPLOYS FORCES AT SYRIAN-JORDANIAN BORDER

The US military is reportedly concentrating troops and military equipment at the Syrian-Jordanian border. Local sources said that about 20 US Army armoured vehicles (including battle tanks and artillery pieces) carried on trucks were spotted in Al-Mafraq. US troops were allegedly accompanied with the Jordanian Army’s 3rd Division.

The US Special Operation Forces, the UK Special Operation Forces and units from some other countries -have been conducting operations across the Syrian-Jordanian border for a long time. They even had a secret military facility inside Syria where members the so-called New Syrian Army militant group were deployed. However, it was the first time when a notable number of US armoured vehicles was reported there. The US Ro-Ro ship Liberty Passion, loaded with vehicles, had arrived to the Jordanian port of Al-Aqapa few days ago. These moves followed a meeting between the Jordanian King and the US president.

A woman and her six children were killed after their boat moving across the Euphrates River came under the US-led coalition air raid in Western Raqqa, media sources said.
The Arabic desk of RT reported that residents of Sho'ayb al-Zekr village West of al-Tabaqa city found bodies of the seven-member family whose boat was targeted and sunk in the Euphrates River as it was moving towards regions controlled by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Other sources added that the mother and her six children were killed after their boat sank near Debsi Faraj village West of al-Tabaqa.

Meantime, media activists also reported that another boat carrying over 40 people, mostly women and children, that had left ISIL-held regions near Debsi Faraj for SDF-controlled region was also targeted and sank.

There is yet no report on the fate of those ferrying across the river on the boat.

PETER OBORNE: Theresa May is at risk of copying Blair's poodle-like subservience to America and I don't share the Foreign Office hawks' joy over the US missile attack

Ever since the start of the terrible Syrian conflict six years ago, the British Government has wanted Western military intervention to help get rid of President Bashar al Assad.

But this policy seemed to have failed. Assad appeared close to winning the war, as Trump acknowledged last week when his Press secretary said that Assad staying was a ‘political reality that we have to accept’.

But then came Tuesday’s dreadful chemical attack on the village of Khan Sheikhoun in north-west Syria.

Instantly, the British and American governments blamed Assad for the horror, and within 72 hours the U.S. launched a revenge missile assault on the airbase from which the chemical attack was believed to have been launched.

The exultation in Whitehall at this turnaround of events is all the greater because it marks such an extraordinary volte-face by Donald Trump. For it is less than three months since he took office and pledged non-intervention in Syria.

‘$64 question: Where is US evidence Assad behind Idlib chemical attack?’

The US says its missile strike on the Syrian airbase was in retaliation for the chemical attack in Idlib province which killed scores of civilians on Tuesday. However, Damascus firmly rejects any involvement.

Spokesperson Maria Zakharova pointed out that, despite the US calling for an investigation, the country then went on to destroy the planes they wanted to investigate, adding that it has nothing to do with establishing the truth.

CHENEY, ROTHSCHILD, AND FOX NEWS’ MURDOCH VIOLATE INTERNATIONAL LAW BY DRILLING FOR OIL IN SYRIA

After concluding the flow testing phase, Afek Oil and Gas will now begin analyzing samples drawn from the Ness-2 drilling site, euphemistically dubbed “Deborah’s Well,” in the Israeli-occupied region of Syria known as the Golan Heights. New Jersey-based Genie Energy, Ltd., Afek’s parent company, claims a dubious cadre of investors cum war profiteers, including Rupert Murdoch, Dick Cheney, Lord Jacob Rothschild, James Woolsey — as well as a number of current and former U.S. politicians.

Prior testing at a separate Afek site did not meet expectations, so the company sought other “sweet spots” in the area. Analysis of samples from additional wells will be performed by Afek scientists in conjunction with “external international experts.”

There's a terrifying sense of deja vu as the Generals take over the White House and guide us towards another war (despite no-one knowing if it was Assad who used sarin on those civilians) says JOHN R BRADLEY

For those of us who covered the build-up to the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, there is a terrifying sense of deja vu as another 'Coalition of the Willing' gears up to launch a potentially devastating wave of shock-and-awe in the Middle East.

That is certainly one worst-case interpretation of the comments made yesterday by the US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley.

Confirming a remarkable U-turn in the Trump administration's stance on Syria, she said that removing President Bashar al-Assad was now a 'priority'.

Fourteen years ago we heard similar shrill calls from political leaders for regime change in Iraq, a country that – whether or not it used chemical weapons on its own people – posed no discernible threat to the national security of our own.

Paul went on the “The Laura Ingraham Show” and noted that Assad is“either the dumbest dictator in the world, or it may be more confusing.”

“I would like to see the evidence…In all this rush, why don’t we at least look at the intelligence instead of getting somebody’s conclusion on TV second-hand from the president.”

“I don’t dispute the evidence, I just haven’t seen it.”
Paul told Laura Ingraham that ‘it makes no sense for Assad to use chemical weapons. He was winning the six-year-old civil war, had the support of Russian troops on the ground, and, just days earlier, received a public statement from U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson that regime change was not America’s goal.’

Is Trump Rescuing Al-Qaeda's 'Heartland' in Syria?

After formally calling off the longstanding U.S. policy of regime change in Syria, the Trump administration is sending signals of shifting its Syria policy under massive political pressure following a grisly chemical attack in the rebel-held province of Idlib.

The chemical attack allegedly took place on April 4. Dozens of civilians were reportedly killed, although many details are still unknown.

"We have not yet any official or reliable confirmation" of what took place or who was responsible, said the UN special envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, at a press conference after the incident.

Why Is Media Citing Man Accused of Kidnapping Journalists as Credible Source on Syrian Chemical Attack?

Media outlets have been pouring fuel on the fire of war. One of the key voices calling for Western intervention that is being amplified by corporate news networks is Shajul Islam, a doctor in the al-Qaeda-controlled Syrian province of Idlib.

Islam has accused the Syrian government of carrying out a chemical attack on civilians. Dozens of major media outlets have cited his claims, while conceding that they have not been independently verified.

Meanwhile, these news publications have failed to disclose a crucial detail about the doctor: He was accused in court of kidnapping journalists in Syria.

In October 2012, Shajul Islam was arrested in the UK and charged with kidnapping two photographers, one British and one Dutch. He was accused of providing medical treatment for the Salafi jihadist extremist group in Syria that held the journalists hostage.

CONFIRMED: Chemical weapons in Idlib were stashed by terrorists

Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov has confirmed that yesterdays ‘chemical attack’ near Idlib was not a chemical attack at all.

The Syrian Air Force targeted a chemical weapons depot belonging to terrorists operating illegally in Syria. The terrorist stockpile of chemical weapons at Khan Sheikhoun were often shipped to fellow terrorists operating in Iraq. This has been confirmed by the Iraqi government.

This of course is in line with a statement made yesterday by Syria which affirmed that Syria no longer has any chemical weapons, something confirmed by both Russia and the United States in 2013.

This makes Rex Tillerson’s statement saying that both Russia and Iran bear ‘moral responsibility’, rather silly, to borrow a word from Sean Spicer.

Russia and Iran had nothing to do with the incident in any way shape or form and Syria cannot be blamed for the fact that its terrorist enemies have hoarded stockpiles of illegal chemical weapons.

Syrian people should decide Assad’s fate, Tillerson tells US media

Speaking of the US missile strike on a Syrian airbase, ordered by President Donald Trump "in response" to the alleged use of chemical weapons, Tillerson told CBS that "clearly the message is that the violation of international norms, the continuing ignoring of UN resolutions and the continuing violation of agreements... will no longer be tolerated."

The airstrike is only related to the alleged chemical attack, the US official claimed, adding that Washington has learned its lesson of "what it looks like when you undertake a violent regime change," referring to Libya.

"Obviously the United States' own founding principle is self-determination, and what the US and our allies want to do is to enable the Syrian people to make that determination... We've seen what violent regime change looks like in Libya and the kind of chaos that can be unleashed and indeed the kind of misery that it enacts on its own people," he said on CBS.

Russia, Iran and Hezbollah military leaders release joint statement, threatens the U.S.

Fits about to hit the Shan!

BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:50 P.M.) – The military operation rooms of Russia, Iran, Hezbollah and other allies have just released a new joint statement. This joint statement was spurred on by US aggression that saw the country strike the Shayrat Airbase in rural Homs with Tomahawk missiles.

The statement released in Arabic states that the allied operations room recognizes that the US is supporting the separation of northern Syria and Iraq from their respective states.

Point seven of the statement details how all US military are legitimate targets as they have crossed every red line possible and operate illegally in Syria. It then emphasizes that the joint military operations room will respond strongly to any aggression and any violation made by the US in Syria.

It appears this is another corporate media hoax. There is no confirmation from Moscow.

BEX ALERT - ISIS Attacks US-Led Base In Southern Syria, As Assad Said To Use White Phosphorus

Al Jazeera, reported that Syrian jets have bombed the town of Idlib using White Phosphorus.

...

One almost wonders what must have gone through the head of the Al Jazeera producers when told to report on such a story.

One thing we can imagine, however, is sequence of thoughts inside Assad's head: "Well, I just got bombed by the US and I will surely get bombed even more at even the slightest additional provocation that can be splashed across the front pages of western newspaper. So... yes, brilliant idea - I will use a banned, toxic substance - White Phosphorus - and hope it appears on all media channels around the developed world, just to make sure the next US airstrike aims right for my palace."

Sure, why not.

Expect to hear much more about white phosphorus in the coming days: it will be the "catalyst" for the next round of Syrian airstrikes.

Zakharova: US strike on Syria unrelated to attempts to learn truth about chemical weapons

The U.S. strikes on the Syrian aerodrome, into which it had planned an investigation, is not related to attempts to learn about chemical weapons in Syria, spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told the Rossiya 1 television channel on Saturday.

"Only recently the Americans and their western allies demanded inspectors sent, some investigation begun into the aircraft which delivered strikes on the militants’ depots and production facilities," she said. "They demanded a probe into those aircraft and the equipment used in the strikes, and then they deliver strikes right on that equipment."

"This is absolutely unrelated either to attempts to learn what has happened to the chemical weapons, or to make whatever steps towards the investigation," she added.

Russia, Iran Warn U.S. They Will "Respond With Force" If Syria "Red Lines" Crossed Again

A statement issued on Sunday by a joint command centre consisting of forces of Russian, Iran and allied militia alliance supporting Syrian President Bashar al Assad said that Friday's US strike on the Syrian air base crossed “red lines” and it would "respond with force" to any new aggression while increasing their level of support to their ally.

In the statement published by the group on media outlet Ilam al Harbi, the pro-Assad alliances says that “what America waged in an aggression on Syria is a crossing of red lines. From now on we will respond with force to any aggressor or any breach of red lines from whoever it is and America knows our ability to respond well."

Kremlin tells U.S. it's 'one step from war' as Trump warns he will hit Syria AGAIN after his attack on Russia's ally Assad triggers fears of World War Three

The Kremlin has warned the US it is ‘one step from war' over Syria - but the Trump administration hit back by saying it would be prepared to carry out airstrikes again.

In the first direct American raid on Bashar al Assad’s forces, President Trump authorised the firing of 59 cruise missiles at a military airfield.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev denounced the US for attacking ‘the legitimate government of Syria’ and for allegedly breaking international law without the approval of the UN.

Mr Medvedev said: ‘This military action is a clear indication of the US president’s extreme dependency on the views of the Washington establishment, the one that the new president strongly criticised in his inauguration speech.'

‘Soon after his victory, I noted that everything would depend on how soon Trump’s election promises would be broken by the existing power machine. It took only two and a half months.

Some of President Trump's Biggest Fans Aren't Happy About the Syria Strike

President Donald Trump took the world by surprise when he ordered the U.S. military to launch a cruise missile strike on a Syrian airbase Thursday in reaction to a deadly chemical attack in the Idlib province earlier this week, despite famously telling former President Barack Obama not to attack Syria repeatedly in 2013.

A number of his well-known supporters have taken to public platforms to express their surprise - and fear - at Trump's bold decision, which is totally at odds with his previous stance on U.S.-Syrian relations and indeed interventionism itself. Trump campaigned against military exploits abroad as a presidential candidate, often railing against the war in Iraq. In December, shortly after winning election, he said "we will stop racing to topple foreign regimes that we know nothing about, that we shouldn't be involved with."

Netanyahu wants to prevent Iran and Hezbollah from establishing a foothold and he intends to undermine future attacks against Israel, noting that he had suggested international forces to supervise his proposed buffer zone.

Tillerson says missile strikes carry a message for others

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says the U.S. missile strikes against a Syrian air base in retaliation for a chemical weapon attack carries a message for any nation operating outside of international norms.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yes, Trump's strike into Syria sent a message, but probably the wrong one.

First, the strike was botched, with only 23 cruise missiles actually hitting the target. The other cruise missiles are known to have hit the villages of Shayrut, Al-Hamrat, and Al-Manzul, miles away from the intended target, killing civilians, including children.

Second, the US Government has a long and dark track record of using lies to justify invasions. We all remember that whopper about Saddam's nuclear weapons. Less remembered is that the US Government tried to claim Assad gassed his own people in 2013 and 2014, with subsequent investigations revealing that it was the US-backed rebels carrying out the attacks to frame Assad. That explains why this last attack was rushed through before any investigation could be carried out.

But if you think about it, the claim that Assad gassed his own people is absurd on the face of it. He has almost won his war against the US-backed rebels who have been trying to steal his nation for almost 6 years. Peace talks were just starting in Brussels to bring the way to an end. And only last Monday, the White House had indicated a willingness to allow Assad to remain as President if he won the next election.

So where is Assad's motive to do something as stupid as gas his own people? It provides no military advantage at all, especially since the attack was against civilians and not the rebels. Indeed it is obvious that the choice of civilians and children was intentional, to manufacture the greatest possible horror at what "Assad" had done. Civilians and children were the targets in the 2013 and 2014 false-flag attacks, including Assad's supporters, the Alawites! From a propaganda perspective, the goal of creating shock and horror is to trick people into not thinking about what is being claimed, because once they start thinking about it, the lie quickly falls apart!

The attack aids the US-backed rebels who have started to regain ground in Syria now that Syria's defenses have been weakened by Trump's cruise missile attack.

The attack allows the Neo-Con war-hawks to promote their agenda of regime change.

The gas attack benefits Assad's enemies, not Assad.

We have been down this road before. Fool me once...

So, what is the message that was sent? That the US Government makes up fairy tales and then invades innocent nations on the basis of those fairy tales, to capture their resources (mostly oil and oil revenue). Leaders of every nation, not just North Korea, are going to hang onto their nuclear weapons as a deterrent to being invaded all that much harder. Those nations without nuclear weapons to deter invasion are probably deciding to acquire them, possibly on the black market, such as when Israel tried to sell nuclear weapons to the former government of South Africa.

The message sent is not the one intended, and the world just became a more dangerous place because of it!

McCain: Missile strikes on Syrian an ‘excellent first step’

FORMER CIA OFFICER: "THE INTELLIGENCE CONFIRMS THE RUSSIAN ACCOUNT ON SYRIA"

President Trump earned neocon applause for his hasty decision to attack Syria and kill about a dozen Syrians, but his rash act has all the earmarks of a “wag the dog” moment.

Just two days after news broke of an alleged poison-gas attack in northern Syria, President Trump brushed aside advice from some U.S. intelligence analysts doubting the Syrian regime’s guilt and launched a lethal retaliatory missile strike against a Syrian airfield.

But a number of intelligence sources have made contradictory assessments, saying the preponderance of evidence suggests that Al Qaeda-affiliated rebels were at fault, either by orchestrating an intentional release of a chemical agent as a provocation or by possessing containers of poison gas that ruptured during a conventional bombing raid.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This has all the earmarks of a deliberate "false flag" to me.

Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad is many things; but crazy, he isn't.

This was a week when things were going his way; his military, coupled with that of Russia, was beating the jihadists into a pulp, and Rex Tillerson publicly stated that Assad could stay in power (at least for the immediate future).

So why, in the name of heaven, would he gas his own people?!? Cui Bono?!? Who benefits?!?

He would not benefit; ISIS, however, would benefit greatly, if there was a false flag it engineered to make it appear that this had been the work of the Syrian government.

And of course, Israel indirectly benefits, because regime changing Damascus is a "step on the road" to regime changing Tehran, which is a big, huge Israeli geopolitical objective.

No traces of chemical weapons seen Shayrat - Russia's Defense Ministry

Dozens of people, who visited the Shayrat base in Syria after the U.S. Strike, did not see there any traces of chemical weapons, spokesman of the Russian Defense Ministry Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on April 8.

"At Shayrat they have not seen depots or moreover chemical ammunition - all the people at the aerodrome do not wear masks and feel absolutely well."

"Thus, comes a question: who and what once again had been presented to another U.S. president as a "proof" of "chemical weapons" in a country disagreeable to Washington?" the spokesman said. Donald Trump carried out Syria missile strike ‘after being convinced by daughter Ivanka’

Trump has long opposed military intervention in Syria – both as a private citizen when he criticised Obama’s intervention in the region, and as President.

But the Republican firebrand is believed to have made his dramatic U-turn after being convinced by his daughter Ivanka’s impassioned response to the Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons on Tuesday.

Making America neocon again: Trump, Putin and the Ziocons

It doesn’t take a military analyst to grasp that the American attack on a remote Syrian airfield contradicts every possible military rationale. If America really believed that Bashar Assad possessed a weapons of mass destruction stockpile and kept it in al-Shayrat airbase, launching a missile attack that could lead to the release of lethal agents into the air would be the last thing it would do. If America was determined to “neutralise” Assad’s alleged “WMD capability”, it would deploy special forces or diplomacy. No one defuses WMD with explosives, bombs or cruise missiles. It is simply unheard of.

America targeted al-Shayrat because it knew with certainty that there were no WMD in that location. It was a fireworks show. It had no military objective.

The first concern that comes to mind is why do you need a saxophonist to deliver the truth every military expert understands very well?...>>

Fact-Check Obsessed Media Accept Assad Behind Chemical Attack Without Question

Intercepted Podcast: Could Trump Start World War III?

Donald Trump has not started any new wars — yet. But his administration is pouring gasoline on several initiated by his predecessors. This week on Intercepted: There are U.S. boots on the ground in Syria — now including conventional military forces — and more are reportedly on the way. Trump has eased restrictions on the killing of civilians and is pummeling Yemen with drone strikes. Combined with the presence of radical ideologues in the White House and the involvement of the powerful militaries of Iran and Russia in the same battlespaces as the U.S., Trump could take the world to the brink of the unthinkable.

Exactly what the Satanic oligarchy, hoping to conceal their massive crimes against humanity want: a New World Order (Israel/bankers/China) from the irradiated ashes that destroys not only Russia, but the United states as well.

Swedish Medical Associations Say White Helmets Murdered Kids for Fake Gas Attack Videos

Swedish Doctors For Human Rights (swedhr.org) analysed videos, the rescue after an alleged attack by Syrian government forces. The doctors found that the videos were counterfeit, where even Arabic stage directions were overheard, and that the alleged “Rescue” in actuality is a murder. On first analysis, it looked as though the doctors working on the child assumed he was already dead.

However, after broader investigation, our team ascertained that the boy was unconscious from an overdose of opiates. The video shows the child receiving injections in his chest, perhaps in the area of the heart and was eventually killed while a clearly fake adrenaline injection was administered.

This was a murder.

The doctors determined in its analysis:

British Foreign Secretary Cancels Moscow Trip; Russia Responds "No Big Loss"

Johnson had planned to travel to Russia Monday on a trip intended to start fresh dialogue with the Russian government (which would have been the first visit by a UK foreign secretary in more than five years), but following this week's actions he said in a statement.

"We deplore Russia's continued defence of the Assad regime even after the chemical weapons attack on innocent civilians,"

"We call on Russia to do everything possible to bring about a political settlement in Syria and work with the rest of the international community to ensure that the shocking events of the last week are never repeated."

"My priority is now to continue contact with the U.S. and others in the run-up to the G7 meeting on 10-11 April - to build coordinated international support for a ceasefire on the ground and an intensified political process."

Assad is responsible for the US Strikes on Syria. Really? French folk mock their leadership's line

This is what the merdias serve us as per usual. No evidence of anything! Just like Saddam Hussein with his massive weapons. [Merdia, of course is a mix of merde (sh*T) and media --tr]

Why would Assad do the inconceivable when the US made it clear that Syria was no longer a priority! Think of it ... Manipulation from the get-go.

Did anybody wait for an investigation? I am the first to say that if the investigation shows that these chemical attacks came from Assad, it will be necessary to intervene as quickly as possible and drag him in a straitjacket before the international tribunal. But that should have been foundational. Step one. But no inquiry, no retrospection for seeing clearly.

BREAKING: ‘Evil, undiplomatic behavior’ – Russia SLAMS the US at UN emergency meeting

Acting Russian Ambassador to the UN Vladimir Safronkov, delivered a scathing indictment on the United States and its allies over the illegal missile strike on Syria.

He rightly accused the United States of violating international law in a totally unprovoked attack on a sovereign nation. He was careful to illustrate the difference between the illegal US presence in Syria fighting Salifism with the Kurds vis-a-vis an outright attack on Syrian forces who are doing the lion’s share of the fighting against terrorism. In order words things have gone from uncomfortable to totally unacceptable and totally counter-productive.

He correctly stated that the American war crime of undermines the peace process for Syria as well as stability in the country and wider region.
