French army in Deir ez-Zor? Photo shown by media raises questions about France’s role in Syrian war

A French army vehicle spotted in a photo taken in Deir ez-Zor province has led to questions about the extent of Paris’s involvement in the Syrian conflict. The image was reportedly shared by the US military on social media.

The vehicle in question is a wheeled armored personnel carrier equipped with a turret, which resembles the French army’s Aravis infantry mobility vehicle. It can be seen in the background of the photo, which purportedly shows US troops lending support to Syrian armed groups fighting Islamic State in the eastern province.

DAYS AFTER 9/11 TULSI GABBARD SLAMS "BETRAYAL OF AMERICAN PEOPLE" OVER SYRIA

Considering that Congresswoman Gabbard herself is an Iraq war veteran and current Army reserve officer who served in the aftermath of 9/11, it's all the more power and rare that a sitting Congress member would make such forceful comments exposing the hypocrisy and contradictions of US policy.

She called out President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence by name on the House floor in her speech:

“Two days ago, President Trump and Vice President Pence delivered solemn speeches about the attacks on 9/11, talking about how much they care about the victims of al-Qaeda’s attack on our country. But, they are now standing up to protect the 20,000 to 40,000 al-Qaeda and other jihadist forces in Syria, and threatening Russia, Syria, and Iran, with military force if they dare attack these terrorists."

Webmaster's Commentary:

If Representative Gabbard decides to run for national office, I will support her completely; she is a refreshing kind of honest you rarely see coming out of DC.

Unfortunately, her anti-war stance, as a Veteran, will not win her points with the military/industrial complex, so she most probably doesn't have a chance of a snowball surviving in hell.

But the American people, ALL OF THEM, need to hear what Tulsi has to say about these endless wars, to conquer the world's resources, and to insure that products are only sold in US dollars.

Sen Richard Black Claims that British Intelligence Is Preparing to Stage Another Syrian False Flag Attack

In a ground-breaking speech before the Virginia Senate on April 11, 2018, Sen. Richard H. Black (R-Loudoun) said he doubted whether a chemical attack occurred in Syria on April 7, 2018. This speech took place in the Virginia General Assembly.

“It is not entirely clear that there was an attack,” Sen. Richard H. Black (R-Loudoun) said in a 20-minute speech on the floor of Virginia Senate on Wednesday. “There was a doctor, from the hospital — from the main hospital in Douma — who has said, ‘We haven’t received any casualties. Nobody has been sent in.’ ”

Days After 9/11 Tulsi Gabbard Slams "Betrayal Of American People" Over Syria

In a rare and unprecedented speech delivered on the House floor just two days after the nation memorialized 9/11, Democratic Hawaiian Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard on Thursday slammed Washington's longtime support to anti-Assad jihadists in Syria, while also sounding the alarm over the current build-up of tensions between the US and Russia over the Syria crisis.

She called on Congress to condemn what she called the Trump Administration’s protection of al-Qaeda in Idlib and slammed Washington's policies in Syria as "a betrayal of the American people" — especially the victims and families that perished on 9/11.

Considering that Congresswoman Gabbard herself is an Iraq war veteran and current Army reserve officer who served in the aftermath of 9/11, it's all the more power and rare that a sitting Congress member would make such forceful comments exposing the hypocrisy and contradictions of US policy.

US Marines carry out exercises with Syrian opposition group

The leader of a Syrian armed opposition group has confirmed that military exercises have been held with US Marines in southern Syria. “This sends a strong message to Russia and Iran that the Americans and the opposition fighters intend to stay and face any threat,” explained Muhannad Al-Tala of the Revolutionary Commando Army, which is backed by the Pentagon.

Al-Tala said that the eight-day exercise, which ended this week at the US military site in Al-Tanf, close to Syria’s border with Jordan and Iraq, was the first of its kind. Live ammunition was used in simulated air and ground attacks involving hundreds of US soldiers and opposition fighters.

Such manoeuvres between the Syrian armed opposition and the coalition forces are of great importance, he added. They enhance the defence capabilities of the region and increase the capacity and morale of the fighters as well as the civilians in the area in which they were conducted.

TURKISH STRATEGY IN NORTHERN SYRIA: MILITARY OPERATIONS, TURKISH-BACKED GROUPS AND IDLIB ISSUE

In order to understand Turkey’s approach toward the conflict in Syria, one first needs to explain the military situation there as of September 2018.

There are localized clashes between militant groups led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of al-Qaeda) and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in northern Latakia and southern Idlib. The Syrian Arab Air Force and the Russian Aerospace Forces are carrying out strikes on weapon depots, equipment and UAV workshops and key facilities belonging to militants in southern and southwestern Idlib.

These as well as deployment of additional SAA units at the contact line between the militant-held and government-held areas are described by pro-militant sources as clear sings of the upcoming SAA operation to defeat Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and other al-Qaeda-like factions there.

U.S. CONDUCTS LIVE-FIRE DRILLS WITH SYRIAN 'REBELS' IN RARE DISPLAY AIMED AT RUSSIA

On Thursday an anti-Assad group in Syria's south confirmed to Reuters via its 'rebel' commander that it is conducting rare military exercises with American forces in order to "send a strong message to Russia and Iran that the Americans and the rebels intend to stay and confront any threats to their presence," according to a new Reuters report.

The anti-Assad commander, Colonel Muhanad al Talaa, is part of the Pentagon-backed Maghawir al Thawra group now conducting eight days of "live-fire and ground assault" drills that involve "hundreds" of U.S. troops and allied Syrian insurgents cooperating together.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And I would like to politely remind the White House, Pentagon, State Department and Congress that Russia has staged its own, huge, live-fire exercise in Siberia, Vostok 2018 Vostok 2018 Continues featuring over 300,000 Russian military, plus integrated Chinese military as well.

The Russians are sending a strong signal as well, that should the US attack at Idlib, the Russians may well not be fighting the US military alone, either.

Congresswoman Accuses Trump, Pence of Shielding Al-Qaeda in Idlib

Speaking on the House floor on September 13, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard accused the Trump administration of protecting al-Qaeda terrorists in Idlib. According to the congresswoman, this amounts to the betrayal of the American people and victims of al-Qaeda's 9/11 attacks in the US.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (HI-02) called out President Donald Trump and Vice President Pence for allegedly protecting al-Qaeda* in Idlib, Syria, while speaking in the House on September 13.

"Two days ago, President Trump and Vice President Pence delivered solemn speeches about the attacks on 9/11, talking about how much they care about the victims of al-Qaeda's attack on our country. U.S. Protects Al Qaeda in Syria, Proven

There’s plenty of proof that the U.S. Government protects Al Qaeda in Syria. Right now, America is protecting Al Qaeda’s main center throughout the world, which is the province of Idlib in Syria. This protection is part of a bigger picture, no merely isolated phenomenon.

For example: the key point of difference between the Obama Administration in America and the Putin Administration in Russia, regarding the establishment of a cease-fire in the Syrian war, was that Obama refused to allow Al Qaeda in Syria to be bombed during the proposed ceasefire, but Putin insisted that both Al Qaeda in Syria and ISIS in Syria must continue to be bombed during the ceasefire. Obama was protecting Al Qaeda in Syria, but Putin insisted upon bombing Al Qaeda and not only ISIS during any ceasefire there.

Trump Wanted to Acknowledge U.S. Forces Killed Russian Mercenaries in Syria; Staff Disagreed

President Trump wanted to offer immediate public acknowledgment this year when the U.S. military killed hundreds of Russian mercenaries in self-defense.
But some of the National Security Council (NSC) staff, under the leadership of H.R. McMaster, who was then the national security adviser, did not think it was a good idea out of concern for antagonizing the Russians.

The president wanted press secretary Sarah Sanders to immediately acknowledge and “take credit” for killing the Russians, but McMaster and the NSC staff stopped them.

For weeks following the incident on February 7, U.S. officials avoided pinpointing who comprised the force that had attacked a base where U.S forces were stationed in eastern Syria.

Part of the cautiousness came from not being “100 percent sure” it was the Russians, although all indications pointed to them.

WATCH: FOX News Actually Admits, US Planning to Bomb Syria to “Protect Al-Qaeda”

Idlib, Syria — For those who have been paying attention, the United States military industrial complex has been ramping up conflict in Syria and another attack on the sovereign country is seemingly imminent. However, to those paying attention, these imminent attacks will only help one group — Al-Qaeda.

On Tuesday, Congress woman Tulsi Gabbard pointed out the glaring hypocrisy of the White House honoring those who were killed by Al-Qaeda during 9/11 while the US is simultaneously supporting Al-Qaeda in Idlib.

“While President Trump & VP Pence give 9/11 speeches about how much they care about the victims of al-Qaeda’s attack on our country, they are simultaneously acting as protectors of AQ in Syria/Idlib, threatening Russia and Syria that if they attack al-Qaeda, we will punish them,” Gabbard tweeted.

Putin’s op-ed in the Times appeared under the title: “A Plea for Caution From Russia.” In it, he warned that a military “strike by the United States against Syria will result in more innocent victims and escalation, potentially spreading the conflict far beyond Syria’s borders … and unleash a new wave of terrorism. … It could throw the entire system of international law and order out of balance.”

Marines hold eight days of drills with militants in southern Syria

US marines have held eight days of unprecedented military exercises with US-backed militants in southern Syria in an attempt to send a “strong message” to Iran and Russia, a senior military official said.

Colonel Sean Ryan, a US military spokesman, described the drills as “a show of force,” saying that the Pentagon had notified Russia through “deconfliction” channels to prevent “miscommunication or escalate tension”.

“The exercise was conducted to reinforce our capabilities and ensure we are ready to respond to any threat to our forces within our area of operations,’” he noted.

The eight days of drills ended this week at the US military outpost in Tanf, located 24 km to the west from the al-Tanf border crossing between Syria and Iraq in Homs Governorate, said Colonel Muhanad al Talaa, the commander of the US-backed Maghawir al Thawra militant group.

'Civil War in Syria Will Not End in Idlib' – Israeli Publicist

The US-led coalition continues to issue threats to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad claiming that Damascus may use chemical arms in Syria. Speaking to Sputnik, Israeli political commentator Avigdor Eskin dubbed this psychological warfare, expressing confidence that Russia and the US would not engage in a conflict over Idlib.

The liberation of Idlib by the Syrian Arab Army would not end the war overnight, Israeli political commentator and publicist Avigdor Eskin told Sputnik, referring to potential retaliation by Assad's opponents as well as the yet unsolved Kurdish issue.

According to the Israeli publicist, one should tread carefully when it comes to a city with 3 million people held hostage by terrorists.

"There are three million people in Idlib," Eskin noted. "Many of them come from different parts of Syria while Assad and his allies advanced there. The price of attack on Idlib will be higher than of Aleppo or Mosul."

U.S. Again Cries ‘Chemical Warfare’ in Syria

The Syrian government, backed by Russian airpower and Iranian advisors, is preparing to undertake a major offensive designed to retake the province of Idlib from opposition forces. The newly appointed State Department Special Representative for Syria, Jim Jeffreys, claims that there is “Lots of evidence” that Syria is preparing to use chemical weapons, specifically chlorine gas, in support of the Idlib operation.

For its part, Russia claims to have specific intelligence that al Qaeda affiliates, working in conjunction with the White Helmet organization, is preparing to stage a chlorine gas attack designed to look like it was done by the Syrian government. The U.S. has warned that it would launch a major military strike against not only the Syrian government, but also Russian and Iranian targets in Syria, if chemical weapons were used in Idlib.

Russia has not backed off its warning, and it is acting within international law at the invitation of the Syrian government. The US is occupying a relatively small area within Syria from which it protects the remaining Al Qaeda and ISIS groups in southern Syria. USAF to use F-35B Lightning II against Russia's Su-57 and S-400 systems in Syria?

The US military intend to use F-35B Lightning II fighter aircraft in Syria. According to experts, this type of aircraft has a potential to intimidate forces of the enemy.

It is expected that the F-35B Lightning II will be able to perform any mission in Syria. This is the only deck-based aircraft in the Middle East, and the US military may use them for military operations on the territory of Syria, Iraq or Afghanistan.

The US Air Force has never used this type of aircraft in combat action before, the USNI News website wrote. "The deployment of the F-35B into U.S. Central Command is a major milestone for the program and validates the aircraft is in the fight right now, conducting real-world operations; it is actively supporting combatant commanders. We look forward to demonstrating the capability of our newest, advanced stealth aircraft during this deployment," Capt. Christopher Harrison, a spokesman at Headquarters Marine Corps at the Pentagon, told USNI News on September 12.

Russia to create humanitarian corridors in Idlib to prevent civilian casualties – Russian FM

Moscow will create humanitarian corridors in Syria’s Idlib and encourage local reconciliation deals to prevent civilian casualties, the Russian Foreign Minister has said. He warned that terrorist sites would still be targeted.

“We will do everything not to hurt civilian population,” the diplomat said.

While delivering his message, Lavrov also pulled no punches on the way the Western coalition helped “liberate” cities. In particular, he touched upon Iraq’s Mosul and Syria’s Raqqa, which have been major strongholds of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorists for a long time.

Russia warns about US attempts to prepare global public opinion for new attack on Syria

Russia says it is concerned about the attempts being made by the United States to prepare the global public opinion for new military aggression against Syria.

“Regarding the international political point of view, the most serious concern is using of a very serious range of opportunities by Washington: from statements by officials to comments by biased media, the goal seems to be the preparation of public opinion for … new aggression against Syria,” said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova in a press conference in the capital Moscow on Thursday.

She added that tensions were particularly on the rise in Syria’s northwestern province of Idlib due to a high concentration of militants there.

“Despite the uncovering of plans by militants and representatives of White Helmets to stage the use of chemical weapons by government troops, preparation of the above-mentioned staged action continues inside the Idlib zone,” Zakharova said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The things people need to keep asking themselves, are as follows:

IF, with Russia's help, al Assad has been able to liberate nearly the entire country, why would he be using poison chemicals on his own people?!? This makes utterly zero sense.

IF Syria destroyed its chemical weapons under an international agreement and inspection, how are these chemical agents getting into Syria now?!? Who has smuggled them into the country?!?

The short answer is, the people who want the false flag to happen as a justification for an American attack against Idlib, have had these chemicals smuggled in.

Turkey boosts arms to Syrian rebels as Idlib attack looms - rebel sources

Turkey has stepped up arms supplies to Syrian rebels to help them stave off an expected offensive by the Syrian army and its Russian and Iran-backed allies in the northwest near the Turkish frontier, rebel sources told Reuters.

Senior rebel officials said Turkey had sent more military aid to rebels in and around the Idlib region since a summit meeting with Iran and Russia last week failed to agree a deal to avert a government offensive into the area.

Turkey, which is already hosting 3.5 million Syrian refugees, is warning against such an attack, fearing it could force more Syrians over the border. President Tayyip Erdogan has warned of a humanitarian disaster and security risks for Turkey.

“They pledged complete Turkish military support for a long, protracted battle,” a senior FSA commander who was privy to talks in recent days with senior Turkish officials said, requesting anonymity as he was not authorised to speak publicly.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This assault will be a bloodbath, and neither Syria nor Russia can appear as though they are backing down from their vow to rid Idlib of rebels, but the costs will be horrific.

US aims to ‘artificially prolong’ bloodshed in Syria by saving terrorists – Russian Foreign Ministry

Washington is seeking to obstruct moves towards peace to “artificially prolong” the conflict in Syria by saving Al-Qaeda-linked terrorists from imminent defeat, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said.

The US is obviously struggling to justify its military presence on Syrian territory as it uses officials and biased media to prepare the world for a new round of aggression against the Arab republic, Zakharova told reporters at her news conference on Thursday. The purpose of such rhetoric is simple – to change the “vector” of events in the country, which turned toward a peaceful course just last year.

“We see in Washington’s actions an attempt to artificially prolong an armed standoff and fratricidal bloodshed in Syria by saving the Al-Qaeda-linked terrorists from final defeat,” the diplomat stated.

Beyond Orwellian: Myth of UK's 'non-intervention' in Syria

A new House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee Report calls on the UK government to launch an inquiry into its 'non-intervention' in Syria. This is gaslighting on a massive scale, because there's been intervention aplenty.
What do you understand by the term 'non-intervention'? Not intervening in something, I presume? It's clear that the Foreign Affairs committee has another definition which is the complete opposite. In their 'Through the Looking Glass' world, 'non-intervention' actually means 'intervention'. Bombing the country in question, funding, supplying and training 'rebel' groups to attack government forces, imposing sanctions and doing everything possible to keep the conflict going, are all examples of 'inaction', it seems.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – SEPTEMBER 13, 2018: TURKEY ABDUCTS SUSPECT OF 2013 REYHANLI BOMBING IN LATTAKIA

On September 12, Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) announced that it had abducted Yusuf Nazik, a suspect of the 2013 Reyhanli bombing, in the Syrian city of Lattakia and transported him to Turkey. According to the MIT, Nazik confessed that he participated in the 2013 attack on orders from Syrian intelligence units. He allegedly scouted the crime scene prior to the attack and moved explosives from Syria to Turkey.

On May 11, 2013, two car bombs exploded in the city of Reyhanli in Turkey’s Hatay Province killing 53 people. They added that bodies of 4 other people were also found in the ruins of a building near the Women Union's headquarters, three others were discovered in a district near the public park and 2 more corpses were unearthed from the rubbles of al-Badou district. Sources in Raqqa had reported on Thursday that the civil workers in the city found corpses of 5 civilians from the rubbles of a building in al-Badou district. They added that the building was destroyed in the US-led airstrikes in Raqqa city, saying that the search operations continue to discover more bodies. Given the huge volume of destructions in the US attacks in Raqqa, operations to pull out the corpses of victims still continue.

Popular Uprising Continues against US Occupation in Raqqa

Tens of residents of Raqqa staged rallies against the occupation of US forces as tensions between people and Washington-backed militants in the province have heightened. The rallies were held on Thursday 500 meters away from the US base in the region. The protestors carried placards in support of the Syrian government, calling for the US forces' withdrawal from Raqqa province and deployment of the Syrian army units. Meantime, reports from Raqqa said that attacks by unknown assailants against the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces have increased in the region as SDF has intensified moves against the civilians. The SDF suffered casualties on Wednesday after two bombs went off at their bases in Raqqa province. A bomb went off at SDF's base in al-Nour street in the Northwestern part of Raqqa city, injuring a number of SDF members. In the meantime, fierce clashes were also reported between the SDF and the attackers after the bomb explosion.

Ankara Asks Damascus for More Delay in Idlib Operations

The Arabic-language website of Sputnik quoted informed Syrian sources as saying on Wednesday that Ankara has asked the Syrian army's command center, with Moscow's mediation, to provide the country with more time to separate those who it calls as "moderate dissidents" from Tahrir al-Sham (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) and the ISIL terrorists. Based on the report, the Turkish side has admitted dispatch of military equipment to several regions of Idlib province in the past few days, saying that if Tahrir al-Sham rejects leaving the regions occupied by the "moderate dissidents", it will use military power against them. Turkey has not mentioned where the terrorists could retreat to after leaving Idlib. The sources said that if Syria and Russia agree with Turkey's demand, it will be the last deadline given to Ankara to act upon its undertakings based on the Astana conference.

YouTube Bans Media Supporting Syria's Liberating Struggle

Ahead of what may be the mother of all battles to liberate US-supported terrorists in Syria’s Idlib province, YouTube banned Damascus state-run and other pro-government channels – including the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), channels belonging to the country’s presidency and Defense Ministry, each closure accompanied by one of these shameful statements saying:

“This account has been terminated due to a legal complaint,” or

How a U.S. Navy Pilot Shot Down the First Enemy Plane in 18 Years

On June 18th, 2017 Navy Lt. Cmdr. Michael “M.O.B.” Tremel made history—he was the first pilot to shoot down an enemy airplane in 18 years. Tremel told his story at last week’s annual Tailhook convention for naval aviators, describing the tense aerial environment, which saw the skies over Syria filled with planes from nearly a half dozen countries, and what it was like to engage in combat the first time.

Lieutenant Commander Tremel, a member of VF-87 (“Golden Warriors”) had launched off the aircraft carrier USS Bush in the Mediterranean Sea in support of U.S. and pro-U.S. forces on the ground. Syrian combat aircraft had been attempting to engage anti-government Kurdish and Arab militias, with U.S. aircraft attempting to stop them by flying low—but not using weapons to shoot the Syrians down.

Turkey reinforces military in Syria's Idlib after ceasefire call fails

Turkey is reinforcing its military posts inside Syria's rebel-held province of Idlib, Turkish and Syrian rebels sources say, seeking to deter a government offensive which it says would unleash a humanitarian disaster on its border.

President Tayyip Erdogan has warned that an assault by the army and its Russian and Iran-backed allies on Idlib, home to around 3 million people, will uproot hundreds of thousands in one of Syria's last rebel strongholds.

Already hosting 3.5 million Syrians - the world's biggest refugee population - Turkey says it cannot absorb more victims of the war and has accused the West of abandoning it to face the consequences of President Bashar al-Assad's reconquest of Syria.

The video-sharing giant took down four Syrian state-run YouTube channels, including two channels belonging to state media and the official account of the Syrian president, amid escalating tensions in the militant-held province of Idlib and warnings by the Russian military that the White Helmets may stage a new false flag chemical attack.

Asked to comment on the shutdown, which users reported over the weekend, a YouTube spokesperson provided Sputnik with the following statement: “YouTube complies with all applicable sanctions and trade compliance laws – including with respect to content created and uploaded by restricted entities. US Setting up More Military Bases in Hasaka in Northeastern Syria

The Arabic-language al-Manar news website reported that the US-led coalition has resumed building two more military bases in the village of Jam'aya East of the town of Qamishli as well as areas West of the town.

It further said that the US military has set up a base at the Eastern entrance of the town Qamishli and also established a permanent base in the small town of Himo at the Western entrance of the town.

The website reminded that a sum of 13 Syrian soldiers were killed in an ambush operation by the Kurdish militias in Qamishli recently.

On Tuesday, the Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper quoted former media advisor of the Kurdish-led People's Protection Units (YPG) in Afrin Rizan Haddou as saying that the US troops were behind the Kurdish security forces' ambush on the Syrian army forces in Qamishli which killed 13.

White Helmets Organization Planning to Transfer Chemicals to New Locations in Syria's Hama

The Arabic-language al-Mayadeen TV channel quoted a well-informed source in Jisr al-Shughour as disclosing that the White Helmets are planning to transfer a large volume of poisonous materials to Qala al-Maziq and Kafr Naboudeh in Northern Hama as requested by their foreign backers.

It went on to say that the terrorists and the White Helmets are planning to make a ten-minute video of a fake chemical attack to send two copeis of the video to the United Nations, adding that a meeting which was to be held over the release of the video of the fake chemical attack has been postponed.

On Tuesday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on the terrorists' plan to film a false-flag chemical attack in Idlib province to raise allegation on the Damascus forces.

As the Russian Center for Syrian Reconciliation reported on Tuesday, all the fake footage of "chemical attacks", designed to facilitate the implication of Syrian government forces, was expected to be sent to different TV channels.

War Alert: Nikki Haley Warns Russia & Iran Of ‘DIRE CONSEQUENCES’

United States ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley has just issued a warning to Russia and Iran. Haley says the two countries should prepare for “dire consequences” if they continue air assaults on the last rebel-held area in Syria.

Russia’s ambassador to the UN ramped up the war rhetoric and responded to Haley’s threat with a denial that Syria has any chemical weapons. The UN secretary-general then also warned of a potential “bloodbath” during Tuesday’s UN Security Council meeting on the crisis in Idlib, Syria, according to a report by CNN.

During the second UN session on Idlib in four days, Haley told the council that “the world has seen a clear military escalation” this month by Russia and the Syrian regime, whose forces have conducted more than 100 airstrikes, using “barrel bombs, rockets, and artillery” in an attempt to retake the last rebel holdout after more than seven years of war.

Merkel Won't Tolerate Syrian Chem Attacks, German SDP Says UN Op Approval Needed

The statement comes following the announcement of the United States, Britain and France that they have agreed that any use of chemical weapons by the government of Syria would result in a larger-scale punitive strike than those launched in April 2017 and April 2018.

Germany supports the political settlement of the crisis in Syria, but will not ignore the use of chemical weapons in the Middle Eastern country, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday.

"Our foreign policy principle is to support political efforts. Therefore, of course, we participate in Syria as part of small formats, the Astana format and the UN-led format, but we cannot but pay attention to the fact that chemical weapons are used somewhere, the international convention is violated," Merkel said in her address to the German parliament.

US, France, and UK In Direct Talks Over Possible Syria Strikes

“That has to be, in the history of propaganda in the 20th and 21st centuries, one of the most outrageous claims that I can think of,” John Bolton stated in response to Moscow's charge that anti-Assad insurgents in Idlib are preparing a chemical false flag in order to hasten a US attack on Damascus, according to a new Wall Street Journal report.

“Along with the United States and France, we have been clear that we will respond swiftly and appropriately if the Assad regime repeats its appalling use of chemical weapons,” he vowed, echoing statements the national security advisor began making weeks ago during a trip to Jerusalem.

The WSJ has revealed the White House is now in direct talks with the U.K. and France over plans for a possible third round of coordinated strikes on Syria should the Syrian Army use chemical weapons during its Idlib assault.

Classified Memo Proves Hillary Supplied Weapons from Benghazi to Al-Qaeda in Syria; DOJ Could Still Indict

Hillary Clinton may have run out the clock on her illicit email scandal and her Uranium One scandal but a possible indictment for transporting arms to terrorists is not going to fade away anytime soon, according to Justice Department sources.

Meanwhile, Julian Assange could have a ‘November Surprise’ brewing for Hillary in the form of more compromising documents like the attached classified DIA cable linking Clinton to knowingly supplying Syria with weapons while she was secretary of state.

Assange is sitting on an arsenal of proof — emails and possible State Department materials — similar to this once-classified Defense Intelligence Agency cable. He hinted that a Hillary-related document dump in October. However, that did not transpire.

Hillary’s involvement and alleged illegal role in the Uranium One scandal is seemingly out of reach of the Justice Department, as the five year criminal statute expired two years ago.

How To Explain The Cause Of The Syrian War In 2 Minutes

The last time time President Trump launched massive strikes on Syria in April of 2018, Jeffrey Sachs went on MSNBC's Morning Joe just two days before the attack to give the American public a perspective they had never heard aired on a major cable network.

Importantly, Sachs is not some random unknown blogger or obscure editorial writer, but a renowned Columbia University professor and career Harvard academic who has won numerous awards and serves as special economic adviser to the U.N.

During the panel Sachs appeared to shock his hosts with erudite analysis of how the seven-year long war in Syria has fundamentally been fueled by covert regime change from the West and its Gulf allies — a rare if not unheard of subject for the show.

‘Something big is coming’: French aid worker in Aleppo says Syrians bracing for US attack (VIDEO)

A major US military escalation in Syria would be “based on lies” and will have “terrible” consequences for Syrians, a French aid worker in Aleppo told RT, adding that Washington seems determined to prolong the war at any cost.

Pierre Le Corf, the founder of the NGO ‘We Are Superheroes’, has lived for nearly three years in Aleppo – but he said that Western governments, including his home country of France, have provided a distorted picture of the reality on the ground.

US Using Chemical Weapons to Justify Military Aggression on Syria

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said that the United States is using internationally-banned chemical weapons to invent a pretext for a military campaign against his conflict-plagued Arab country.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with English-language al-Hayat magazine, Muallem said it is not the first time that chemical attack claims have been used to justify an attack on Syria, press tv reported.

He noted that the Damascus government does not possess any chemical warfare, and that the so-called White Helmets aid group has on occasions staged mock chemical attacks to serve as proof that the Syrian government has conducted the assaults.

The top Syrian diplomat said the cession of foreign intervention in Syria’s domestic affairs will help the settlement of the Syrian conflict, stressing that intra-Syrian negotiations will produce a political solution to the ongoing crisis once such meddling is completely halted.

Theresa May’s Husband’s Firm made a “Financial Killing” from Syria Bombing

It is common knowledge that Theresa May’s husband Philip essentially acts as the unofficial advisor to the Prime Minister – a fact proven by the former Conservative MP for Chichester, Andrew Tyrie, who said during a Newsnight profile of the PM’s husband that “Philip is clearly acting as, informally, an advisor to Theresa. Probably much like Denis did to Margaret Thatcher.”

Whilst it is pretty obvious that almost all married couples act as informal advisors to each other in come capacity, Tyrie’s admission that the Prime Minister’s husband has such a great influence over his wife’s decisions is made all the more worrying by the fact that Mr May – who is a Senior Executive at a £1.4Tn investment firm – stands to benefit financially from the decisions his wife, the Prime Minister, makes.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – SEPTEMBER 12, 2018: MILITANTS FILMING STATED CHEMICAL ATTACK IN IDLIB

On September 11, the US-led coalition and the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced that the SDF is kicking off a military operation to eliminate the ISIS-held pocket of Hajin in the Euphrates Valley. According to a coalition spokesman, the SDF ground advance will be backed up by coalition air and artillery strikes.

Hajin and nearby villages are the only remaining major ISIS stronghold in Syria, which the terrorist group actively uses to carry out attacks on the eastern and western banks of the Euphrates. Previously, the SDF repeatedly announced that it’s going to clear the pocket. However, by September 11, no real efforts had been taken in this field.

If the Hajin pocket is seized by the SDF, the US-backed fore will finally be able to declare the eastern bank of the Euphrates free from ISIS, at least technically.

LEAVE SYRIA THE HELL ALONE

Last weekend I was on Iranian TV being asked about the meeting in Tehran at which the presidents of Iran and Russia had refused to agree with the President of Turkey to stop bombing people in Syria. I said Iran and Russia were wrong.

I also said that nobody involved, least of all the United States, was right.

Not only would the United States and the world be infinitely better off if in response to 9/11 the U.S. government had done nothing at all, as Jon Schwartz tweets each year, but Syria would be dramatically better off if just about any outside force had never gotten in or now got out.

Kurdish Politician Reveals US Role in Recent Killing of Syrian Army Forces in Qamishli

The Arabic-language al-Watan newspaper quoted former media advisor of the Kurdish-led People's Protection Units (YPG) in Afrin Rizan Haddou as saying on Tuesday that the US troops were behind the Kurdish security forces' ambush on the Syrian army forces in Qamishli which killed 13.

He added that the incident was a plotted ambush operation, saying that the presence of the US forces in Qamishli and Hasaka does not benefit the Kurds.

Haddou described the US deployment in Syria as illegal, and said when the Americans were not stationed in the region, the Syrian army forces and Kurdish fighters were present in Afrin and Northern and Eastern Aleppo with no clashes.

The Kurdish militants attacked the vehicles of the Syrian army troops in Qamishli on Saturday, killing 13 forces.

Video: Washington Claims That Assad Government Wants to Bomb Schools, Hospitals and Homes in Idlib under the Guise of Counter-Terrorism

The US-led propaganda campaign against the Syrian-Iranian-Russian alliance has reached a new level as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) is openly preparing to kick of a ground assault on terrorist groups in northwestern Syria.

During a September 7 UN Security Council briefing, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley stated that

“when Russia and the Assad regime say they want to counter terrorism, they actually mean they want to bomb schools, hospitals, and homes. They want to punish the civilians who had the courage to rise up against Assad.” She further stated that “the Assad regime” must halt an offensive in Idlib because it will undermine “peace talks”.

“We consider any assault on Idlib to be a dangerous escalation of the conflict in Syria. If Assad, Russia, and Iran continue, the consequences will be dire,” Haley said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, Ambassador Haley; but is this not precisely what the US military is assisting the Saudis in doing in Yemen, in their war crimes against innocent Yemenis?!?

Images: Yemeni kids assassinated, with US assistance, by the Saudi Military

I do not blame the Syrian government for wanting to retake Idlib; these nonsensical statements of yours, are simply the premise for the US government's "justification" for fighting both Russian and Iranian military, which have been instrumental in beating the rebels back.

I would like to politely suggest that war against Russia and Iran in Syria may not be the highest or best use of American military resources in this case.

And here's a companion piece by Phil Giraldi, from globalresearch.ca:

I frankly don't think the current administration can wait for October before going into Syria, with fighters and weapons blazing, because of a concern about a potential rout of Republicans in the coming midterms.

Is Trump Going Neocon in Syria?

Is Trump ready to order U.S. action against Russian and Syrian forces if Assad gives his army the green light to take Idlib? For the bombing of Idlib has already begun.

What makes this more than an academic exercise is that Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, at a meeting in Tehran last Friday, told President Erdogan of Turkey that the reconquest of Idlib is going forward.

Erdogan fears that the Syrian army’s recapture of Idlib would send hundreds of thousands more refugees streaming to his border.

Turkey already hosts millions of refugees from Syria’s civil war.

Yet the massing of the Syrian army near Idlib and the Russian and Syrian bombing now begun suggest that the Assad-Putin-Rouhani coalition has decided to accept the risk of a clash with the Americans in order to bring an end to the rebellion. If so, this puts the ball in America’s court.

US Reportedly Reinforces Base in E Syria Amid Looming Idlib Offensive

On September 10, the Fars News Agency reported that the US sent two convoys consisting of ten trucks loaded with logistics and military equipment to the country's al-Susah base in the eastern part of Deir ez-Zor province, controlled by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). The media platform said, citing local sources that Washington had also sent another convoy consisting of 100 trucks loaded with military equipment from Iraq to unspecified Syrian territories controlled by the SDF, via the Simalka border crossing.

Task & Purpose previously reported that the US had sent over 100 US Marines to reinforce the military base in al-Tanf, Syria. Newly deployed forces will take part in live ammunition military drills, which are being conducted to demonstrate the "capability to deploy rapidly, assault a target and conduct rapid exfiltration," according to US Central Command (CENTCOM).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks as though the US war against both Russia and Syria is on; the only question is, how long past the false-flag chemical attack, which will probably be all over the presstitute corporate media in the next couple of days, will President Trump wait to give the command to attack.

Unfortunately, for this country, doing the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing it could do, is no guarantee that the US government won't do it; a US attack against Idlib, which most probably means a military confrontation with Russia, being my case in point here.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson recalled that the UN Security Council had on September 6 convened an open meeting on the Syrian chemical dossier at the initiative of the United States.
