Wasteful IRS Program Fails to Prevent Tax Fraud

The least favorite government agency during the month of April is the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) (although that may be true every month of the year). During the 2015 tax season, only 38 percent of phone calls were answered, as the IRS hung up on more than 30 million taxpayers. The tax code and tax regulations combined are more than 70,000 pages long. Annual compliance with IRS paperwork takes 8.9 billion hours and costs the economy $409 billion in lost productivity.

Now taxpayers can add another reason to this (partial) list of complaints about the IRS and the tax code. A program intended to uncover and prevent the filing of fraudulent tax returns has failed to perform as expected. If taxpayers are going to be overburdened when they attempt to pay their fair share of taxes, they should expect the IRS to be vigilant about making sure that the system is fair for everyone.

What Is Road Charge? Road charging means drivers pay to help maintain the roads based on the distance they travel or a period of time they use the roads, rather than the amount of gasoline they consume. How Governments Justify Theft is a Fallacy: Wealth Was Created before Taxation

There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody! You built a factory out there, good for you, but I want to be clear, you moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that mauraduing bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did… But part of the underlying social contract is that you take a hunk of that, and pay forward for the next kid that comes along.

The Big Sap: Income Tax

Great Cartoon and even better article.

The IRS deception works simply because the American people have been programmed to believe in a fiction called the U.S. dollar. The U.S. dollar cannot be measured by the five senses. Green strips of paper with numbers on them are not dollars. They are only symbols of dollars. But belief in the dollar as substance (not fiction) is so ingrained and widespread that it ranks with religion.

When Americans discover that the government and its symbiotic partner, the Federal Reserve, create credit in unlimited amounts, they will know that the idea of income taxes is nothing more than political subterfuge. They will know that federal budgets and national debts are fictions and diversions. They do not exist.

When the government creates credit and passes it into circulation in exchange for goods and services, it is stealing. It is exchanging nonsubstance, a fiction, for substance. It is theft on an unbelievable scale.

BEXALERT: U.S. says strike hits 20 percent of Syria's operational aircraft

What a joke. More lies.It was a salvage and repair base. Most of the CM's didn't even make it to the target and of those that did, about half chewed up the grass around the field.

The U.S. cruise missile strike on a Syrian air base last week damaged or destroyed 20 percent of Syria's operational aircraft, as well as fuel and ammunition sites and air defense capabilities, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said on Monday.

"The Syrian government has lost the ability to refuel or re-arm aircraft at Shayrat airfield and at this point, use of the runway is of idle military interest," Mattis said in a statement.

Is Trump Going to Commit the Next Great American Catastrophe in Syria?

Over half a million Syrians are dead. Half the population is displaced. Aerial bombardment by the Americans, the Russians, the Syrians and others continues to devastate Syria and Iraq. The Americans recently admitted to a major atrocity in Mosul, where 200 civilians have been killed. That attack did not seize the Security Council or bring forth fulminations from the Western press. Hypocrisy is central to the morals at the Security Council. This does not mean one should not be horrified by what has happened at Khan Shaykhun. But more than anything, the international community must urge a thorough investigation of these events before rushing either to a forensic judgment about what happened and to a response-particularly a military response?in retaliation. Sober heads need to prevail. War is rarely the answer. Particularly when we don?t as yet know the question.

Brother Nathanael seems a little testy these days. But who isn't!

By Brother Nathanael
* Haley is an imbecile.
* Trump cannot be trusted, his word is full of worms.
* Trump is a tinderbox, a dangerous demagogue.
* There is not an ounce of integrity running through Trump’s veins.
* Jared Kushner has his day in the sun with Trump. But every dog has his day and pisses on the hydrant. America is that hydrant.
* Bannon wrote many of Trump’s campaign ‘anti-NWO’ speeches. Trump never believed a word of it.
* Tillerson is a weakling. He caved to big business to allow homos to wreck the last remaining wholesome institution in America, the Boy Scouts of America.
* Mattis and McMasters are both war criminals yet run the Jew-enabled war machine wreaking havoc all over the world.
* Mattis has the eyes of a zombie. He’s a metaphor of the hollowing out of Jewmerica, a country with one foot and three toes in the grave.

Bahraini Media: Al Khalifah Regime Trying to Buy US Silence by Paying $8 Billion Deals in Just 2 Weeks

In just two weeks, over $8 billion military and industrial deals have been announced, amid a financial crisis that the country has been suffering due to its security and political situations and falling oil prices.

A US congressional source revealed last Wednesday that Donald Trump's administration informed the Congress of its plan to pursue the $5 billion sale to Bahrain of 19 Lockheed Martin F-16 aircraft and related equipment.

This deal was pulled back last year because of concerns that Bahrain had not made promised improvements to its human rights record. However, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker sees that "there are more effective ways to seek changes in partner policies than publicly conditioning weapons transfers in this manner."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The late President John Kennedy said it best: "When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable."

Bahrain, lead by the tone-deaf, and cruelly autocratic Sunni Al-Khalifa monarchy, is unable to understand that suppression only works to a point.

And yes, I understand that Bahrain is home to the US Navy's 5th Fleet, but just as a matter of moral principal, it should be moved, to show the US government's displeasure with the consistent human rights abuses of its government and monarchy.

So far, the protests here have been relatively peaceful; but there will be a time when even calling in Saudi troops, as the Bahraini government did several years ago, to put down demonstrations, will have no effect, and we will find the people of Bahrain as adamantly anti-American as were the Iranian people after the over throw of the American Puppet, the Shah, in 79.

With their enabling of the Bahraini government, the US government and military are taking a calculated risk, which I am concerned, may ultimately blow up in their collective faces like a bad trick cigar.

An Extraordinary “Path to Marijuana Reform” by Two Oregon Congressmen

Two Oregon congressional democrats, a senator and a representative, show ground-breaking leadership with their “Path to Marijuana Reform.” Three pieces of excellent legislation showcase the effort by Senator Ron Wyden and Representative Earl Blumenauer. This proposal has excellent cannabis policy goals. It would:

Deschedule Marijuana Completely. No Schedule II, maybe Schedule III, categories that would leave cannabis in the clutches of the DEA. One of the Oregonians’ proposals, the Marijuana Revenue and Regulation Act, would remove cannabis entirely from the Controlled Substance Act, freeing it from most federal control. States would be free to prohibit or legalize with their choices and their votes. As with alcohol and tobacco, marijuana products would be subject to a federal excise tax.

It does not change the gist of the matter, meaning by and large the very same thing.

US Will Keep Ground Troops in Libya

In a press briefing at the Pentagon today, African Command leader Gen. Thomas Waldhauser announced that the US intends to keep ground troops in Libya for the foreseeable future to support “friendly forces,” and to “degrade” the ISIS forces that remain in the country.

Waldhauser did not specify how many US troops are in Libya now, or how many will stay, but did estimate that there were less than 200 ISIS fighters left in Libya. The US had announced the end of the anti-ISIS campaign in Libya back in December, but never fully withdrew from the country.

The US forces were in Libya trying to help the “unity” government defeat ISIS in the city of Sirte. US officials repeatedly claimed the city was totally surrounded, and that no ISIS fighters would get away, though when the fighting finally ended, a substantial number of ISIS fighters did in fact get away.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: this is "military-speak" for the reality that the US government is never leaving Libya because of the oil and the oil pipelines.

Trump's ultimatum: Donald calls House Republicans' bluff and tells them to hold healthcare vote today or KEEP OBAMACARE

The White House issued a blunt warning to House Republicans Thursday night, telling them to vote on an Obamacare replacement on Friday or risk squandering their only chance to get rid of the law they have voted more than 50 times to repeal.

The White House dispatched chief strategist Steve Bannon, chief of staff Reince Priebus, chief counselor Kellyanne Conway and budget director Mick Mulvaney to meet with Speaker Paul Ryan and other GOP members of Congress Thursday evening.

Mulvaney delivered a blunt warning to the GOP conference: Vote on the American Health Care Act or Trump will leave them twisting, Obamacare will remain the law of the land, and they'll be stuck with the blame.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This could backfire. If the vote fails and Obamacare goes on, the corporate media will blame Trump, not Ryan!

Apple paid no tax in New Zealand over past decade – report

An investigation by the New Zealand Herald newspaper found electronics giant Apple has sold $2.96 billion (NZ$4.2 billion) worth of products since 2007 in the country but has not paid any local tax.

Company tax of $26 million had been reportedly paid to the Australian tax office as the two countries have a treaty where tax is only paid in one jurisdiction.

According to the newspaper, if Apple had "reported the same healthy profit margin in New Zealand as it did for its operations globally," it would have paid $250.7 million in taxes.

Consumer electronics giant Apple paid no income tax to Inland Revenue over the past decade despite selling billions of dollars worth of iPhones and iPads to New Zealanders.

"It is absolutely extraordinary that they are able to get away with paying zero tax in this country. I really like Apple products - they're incredibly innovative - but it looks like their tax department is even more innovative than their product designers," Shaw said.

The IRS Scandal, Day 1408: Why Won't The Media Cover It?

It has been nearly four years since the IRS admitted in May of 2013 to singling out and targeting conservative groups, especially tea party groups, for additional scrutiny, onerous paperwork, and even audits. The IRS’s abusive targeting, which lasted for years, was entirely motivated by political animus and caused untold — incalculable, even — devastation to conservatives and to conservative groups. ...

After meeting with, and speaking with, hundreds of local tea party organization members in 2013, I was convinced of three key points: 1) the IRS’s targeting scandal had had a profound impact on organizations’ abilities to attract new members, fundraise, and engage on important policy battles; 2) the chilling effect of the federal government’s actions was real, devastating, and impossible to calculate; and 3) the American public needed to know the full extent of the targeting scandal so we could ensure it would never happen again.

IRS destroys significant evidence of targeting conservatives

The Internal Revenue Service (which isn’t a real government agency, by the way – it’s a private corporation that works for the private Federal Reserve!) is in deep doo-doo for flagrantly violating a court order barring the entity from destroying evidence related to its illegal targeting of conservative groups.

When news about the scandal went public, the IRS found itself in even deeper hot water, after it was revealed that the entity hired an outside trial law firm known as Quinn Emanuel to do its dirty work, which included pursuing software giant Microsoft.

Microsoft responded by filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request calling on the IRS to produce data showing what it was up to, data that was stored on the hard drive of its former director of transfer pricing operations at the IRS Large Business and International Division, Samuel Maruca.

Trump Faces PAC Ultimatum To End DACA Amnesty For Illegals

(Raleigh, NC) Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is issuing an ultimatum to President Donald Trump to honor his campaign promise to end his and Obama's DACA Amnesty orders or the national organization will rescind its standing endorsement for Trump originally issued on February 29, 2016.

If Trump does not end his DACA Amnesty for illegals without replacement by Tax Day (April 17), 2017, the loss of ALIPAC's support and endorsement will signal the immigration enforcement movement, Tea Party movement, and American public that Trump can't be trusted on the powerful campaign issue that made his victory over Bush and Clinton possible.

ALIPAC is also launching a national outreach campaign to locate, organize, and mobilize American activists who are willing to stand up and hold Trump accountable for his campaign promises on immigration law enforcement while fighting legislative amnesty in Congress at the same time.

A generation ago, Congress privatized a student loan program intended to give more Americans access to higher education.

In its place, lawmakers created another profit center for Wall Street and a system of college finance that has fed the nation’s cycle of inequality. Step by step, Congress has enacted one law after another to make student debt the worst kind of debt for Americans – and the best kind for banks and debt collectors.

Today, just about everyone involved in the student loan industry makes money off students – the banks, private investors, even the federal government.
