Not the Lesser of Two Evils: Why Hillary Clinton Is Unfit for the Presidency

As the National Journal reported in 2014, even the pathetically weak anti-war left is not ready to reconcile with Hillary given her warmongering as Secretary of State. And with good reason. Scratching just lightly beneath the surface of Hillary Clinton’s career reveals the empirical evidence of her historic support for aggressive interventions around the globe.

FLASHBACK - Secret recordings show US military and a Democratic congressman distrusted Hillary Clinton on Libya and went behind her back to negotiate with Gadhafi

Secret phone recordings have revealed that a Democratic member of Congress and top Pentagon leaders went around then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to negotiate with the Libyan regime of Muammar Gadhafi because they were convinced she was hell-bent on taking the U.S. to war.

President Assad calls out phony Anti-ISIS coalition

The Syrian President pointed out that the United States and its dozens of allies are actually doing much less fighting against ISIS than Syria is. The truth is, of course, that President Assad’s Syrian army is the one effective force fighting ISIS, while the United States and its allies have been pouring money and weapons into the “rebel” forces fighting against Assad. Thus, on balance, the United States-led coalition is actually allied with ISIS.

Ex-Blackwater Guards Sentenced to Long Prison Terms in 2007 Killings of Iraqi Civilians

One by one, four former Blackwater security contractors wearing blue jumpsuits and leg irons stood before a federal judge on Monday and spoke publicly for the first time since a deadly 2007 shooting in Iraq.
***
“I know for a fact that I will be exonerated, in this life and the next,” said Paul A. Slough.

“I am very sorry for the loss of life,” Dustin L. Heard said. “But I cannot say in all honesty to the court that I believe I did anything wrong.”

“As God is my witness,” Evan S. Liberty said, he fired only at insurgents who were shooting at him.

“The verdict is wrong,” said Nicholas A. Slatten, a former Army sniper who was convicted of murder for starting the melee with a precision shot through the head of a young man stopped at an intersection. “You know I am innocent, sir.”

The judge, Royce C. Lamberth, strongly disagreed, sentencing Mr. Slatten to life in prison and handing 30-year sentences to the three others.

Israel Lobby Conference: How big is the Lobby ? VIDEO

American politicians and media have fallen captive to the Zionist network. This is a lethal ailment that afflicts the US.

C-Span refused to cover the conference? Speak of “Silencing voices of TRUTH” or any exposure of even the most legitimate and reasonable discourse about Israel — Apparently, “The invisible dictatorship (to borrow a phrase) J.I.D., which controls America certainly saw to it!”

Whether it is not already too late to do much about it, we shall see.

Let us get it out on as many Websites as possible, Twitter and Facebook it, as well. We should not underestimate the power of the internet.

Hillary Clinton – the ‘Liberal’ Puppet for War

Hillary Clinton this week launched her bid for the US presidential elections in 2016. Among the copious coverage in Western media was the small but highly significant detail: her presidential campaign will have a war chest of $2.5 billion. The former US Senator and Secretary of State is said to have a personal net worth of between $50-100 million. However, if she is selected by the Democratic party to make a run for the White House most of her presidential campaign will be bankrolled by corporations and super-wealthy backers like financier George Soros through his Democracy Alliance foundation. That alone tells where her political loyalties and priorities lie.

Saudi Arabia, Turkey Discussing Unlikely Alliance To Oust Syria's Assad

Turkey and Saudi Arabia, two nations with a long history of rivalry, are in high-level talks with the goal of forming a military alliance to oust Syrian President Bashar Assad, according to sources familiar with the discussions.

The talks are being brokered by Qatar. As the partnership is currently envisioned, Turkey would provide ground troops, supported by Saudi Arabian airstrikes, to assist moderate Syrian opposition fighters against Assad's regime, according to one of the sources.

How the GOP Became the Israel Party

Bill Kristol and John McCain have replaced Robert Novak and Pat Buchanan in Republican foreign policy influence.

When the unexpectedly detailed P5+1 framework agreement with Iran was announced last Thursday, Illinois Republican Mark Kirk made a bizarre comment. “We all know” said the senator, that this is going to end with “a mushroom cloud somewhere near Tehran”—a result of Israel having to go to war to “clean up the mess” made by American and European negotiators. A few days earlier John McCain had expressed the wish that Israel “go rogue” and attack Iran in order to upend the Iran negotiations.

Yemen: Another Failed U.S. Military Intervention

The average U.S. voter or taxpayer doesn't realize this important point and thinks that the U.S. government is merely swatting away bad guys who are attacking us because we love freedom. Politicians, such as George W. Bush and Barack Obama, purposefully obscure the decades of U.S. meddling in the Middle East and Islamic countries prior to any terrorist attack on the United States, including that of 9/11. And after that fateful day, the U.S. doubled down on what most inflames militant Islamist radicals -- non-Muslim attacks on and occupation of Muslim soil -- by attacking or invading at least seven Muslim countries. Bush and Obama have told the world that we are not at war with Islam, but Muslims may think differently from the other side of the gun barrel.

CIA DIRECTOR: WAR ON TERROR WILL NEVER END

“The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact”

BEX Alert - "ISIL threatens to ‘burn America’ like 9/11"

The ISIL terrorist group has threatened to “burn the United States again" by conducting terrorist attacks against the country similar to the September, 11, 2001 attacks in New York City and the Washington, DC.

The Takfiri terrorist organization released a propaganda video on Saturday via the Internet titled “We Will Burn America”, warning that Americans are not safe anywhere in the world.

“America thinks it’s safe because of the geographical location,” a voice-over in the video says. “But the dream of Americans to have safety became a mirage.”

"Today there is no safety for any American on the globe," the voice adds, while showing footage of planes crashing into the World Trade Center in New York City as well as acts of savagery by the group in Iraq and Syria.

Yemen war, beginning of ominous plot to divide Saudi Arabia: Iran diplomat

A senior Iranian diplomat has warned against the fallout of Saudi Arabia’s illegal military campaign against Yemen, saying it is a conspiracy that aims to disintegrate Saudi Arabia.

“The enemies of the [Middle East] region are unfortunately trying to disintegrate and weaken Saudi Arabia, and the aggression against Yemen and its consequences are the start point of this ominous plot,” Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Sunday.

He called on the United States to stop pursuing dual policies in the Middle East and recommended Saudi Arabia to stop counting on Washington’s help in Yemen.

The Iranian diplomat warned that the continuation of Saudi aggression against Yemen would lead to “inevitable consequences," adding that Saudi Arabia is playing with regional security by attacking Yemen.

Islamic State group destroys ancient ruins of Nimrud

Islamic State militants hammered, bulldozed and ultimately blew up parts of the ancient Iraqi Assyrian city of Nimrud, destroying a site dating back to the 13th century BC, an online militant video purportedly shows.

Iran cannot be trusted, Netanyahu warns

"To my regret, all of the things I warned about vis-a-vis the framework agreement that was put together in Lausanne are coming true before our eyes," Netanyahu said.

"This framework gives the leading terrorist state in the world a certain path to nuclear bombs," he warned.

"How can such a country be trusted?"

The emerging deal, which is to be finalised by June 30, would leave Iran with "significant nuclear capabilities," he said.

"It is not dismantling them, it is preserving them. We also see that the inspection is not serious... As of now, there is no monitoring," he said.

"We see that the sanctions are being lifted, immediately, according to Iran's demand, and this is without Iran having changed its policy of aggression everywhere."

Four Years After Gadhafi, Libya Is a Failed State

Nearly four years after NATO-backed rebels toppled the former Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi, the North Africa country has plunged into chaotic unrest.

The failure of last year’s election to achieve political unity in Libya was most evident when Fajr Libya, or “Libya Dawn” – a diverse coalition of armed groups that includes an array of Islamist militias – rejected the election’s outcome and seized control of Tripoli. The internationally recognized government relocated to Tobruk, situated in eastern Libya along the Mediterranean coast near the Egyptian border, while Libya Dawn set up a rival government, known as the new General National Congress, in the capital.

Su-27 Intercepts US Spy Plane Heading Into Russian Airspace

A Su-27 fighter jet was scrambled to inspect the target. Moving up to the unidentified aircraft the Russian pilot flew around it several times, made sure it was a US RC-135U reconnaissance plane and reported its tail number to ground control.

“I want to emphasize that the RC-135U was moving towards the Russian border with its transponder switched off… As to the professional qualities of our pilots, this is something for the Russian military command to assess. Moreover, US reconnaissance planes are supposed to fly along US borders only and nowhere else,” Konashenkov said, adding that no “emergency situations” were registered during Tuesday’s mid-air encounter.

A Pentagon spokesman said on Saturday that a Russian Su-27 jet fighter on Tuesday flew dangerously close to and nearly collided with a US reconnaissance plane over the Baltic Sea.

With the U.S. F-35 Joint Strike Fighter still in limbo over reliability problems, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s administration on Monday said it would begin regular production of its newest fighter jet, the T-50, next year.

According to state-run media, the Russian military will begin mass-producing the advanced fighter jet in several versions, and will also begin making models that will be available for export.

“We have plans to deliver the first series of fifth-generation fighter jets next year,” said Deputy Defense Minister Yuri Borisov, after visiting a plant owned by Sukhoi, the Russian defense contractor responsible for the new plane, which is also known as the PAK-FA.

Partner or Pariah? Kerry Calls Lavrov for Help

Naming and shaming over the Iranian nuclear debacle will call out who just is the real pariah and who is the real partner to world peace.

Reading the Western news media is like swimming in a goldfish bowl. News one day gives way to some other transient story the next, and so on and on. With the result that if one were to rely on the Western media for understanding on any particular issue, there is faint chance of proper assimilation. This is because there is typically negligible context, perspective or continuity – as well as, of course, misleading spin and outright disinformation.

To illustrate: one of the most bizarre – unwittingly bizarre – recent news reports was how US Secretary of State John Kerry made an urgent call to Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. Kerry reportedly needed Lavrov for help in clinching a breakthrough in the deadlocked nuclear negotiations with Iran.

It is Not Confusing that US Abandons Own Citizens in Yemen War-Zone but Rescues Saudi Bombers

Most Americans have no idea any of these events are occurring or have only vague, US government/press-created notions of them, but many who are cognizant – principally the abandoned people themselves – express confusion. Why would eight countries, including Russia, China, and India, carry out risky missions to save their own citizens, as well as foreign nationals, stuck in Yemen, but the US would staunchly refuse to do so? All we ever hear from the US government and press is that the US is so incredibly good and altruistic. So, how could this be happening?

Military Veterans Target US Drone Strikes in TV Ads

A group of military veterans is taking aim at U.S. drone strikes overseas with graphic TV ads directly asking Air Force pilots to stop flying the unmanned aircraft, calling the operations immoral and illegal.
The ads are the first commercials opposing U.S. drone operations ever shown on American TV, according to sponsors, which include the Veterans Democratic Club of Sacramento County and the Sacramento chapter of Veterans for Peace. The campaign is spearheaded by an activist website, KnowDrones.com.
The commercials are airing this month on Comcast in Northern California communities near Beale Air Force Base, which is home to Golden Hawk reconnaissance drones. Pilots at Beale remotely fly the spy drones over areas believed to be controlled by terrorists in foreign countries and pinpoint human targets for attack by armed Predator and Reaper drones.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To all those Veterans who put this together, and pulled together the money to make this happen: GOD BLESS YOU!!

Extrajudicial assassinations run counter to everything this country is supposed to stand for. Having no due process whatsoever, just characterizing the alleged bad guy through Obama's "he needed killin" flawed logic, this country is no better than one run by a dictator who decides to kill at will, and doesn't mind all the non-combatants who will get killed, or maimed for life, in countries with no real medical care whatsoever.

We are supposed to be a nation of laws; unfortunately, under this President, we have become a nation of people, with the political hierarchy making decisions about who gets assassinated - or doesn't - with absolutely NO true law behind it.

The Video That Could Indict the Pentagon for Murder

To explain the current war in Yemen, the Washington Post finds someone to quote saying, "nobody can figure out either who started this fight or how to end it."

Really? Nobody? The second U.S.-armed dictator in the past few years is overthrown by militants empowered by opposition to U.S.-armed dictatorship. This after a Yemeni man told the U.S. Congress to their faces that the U.S. drone strikes were empowering terrorists. A larger neighboring U.S.-armed dictatorship in Saudi Arabia starts bombing and threatening to take over, as in nearby U.S.-armed dictatorship Bahrain. Saudi U.S. weapons are destroying piles of Yemeni U.S. weapons, and nobody can figure anything out?

Here are some U.S. children hiding from Soviet nukes many years ago, and a Yemeni child hiding from U.S. drone strikes more recently (source). How does that alone not indict anyone?

Documents showing how the Empire plans to overthrow Putin

Today I’ve got docs on Russia and Ukraine for you. The West got used to solving its problems using someone else to do the dirty work. Putin’s regime is an eyesore for the U.S., UK and NATO. Regardless whether it’s good or bad (everyone has his own opinion) Russia opposes the unipolar world order and western values exclusiveness. The West has a simple solution; it just needs to overthrow Putin and his close companions.

The West can’t do it openly and directly. Russia isn’t Yugoslavia, or Libya, or Iraq. That’s why they are acting via Ukraine which is undergoing dramatical changes now. Though they are using the old methods of ideological warfare, discredit of leaders, and society values erosion.

The attached docs show that NATO and the U.S. and UK military advisors are acting in Ukraine. Non-governmental organizations are working there under the auspices of the Western and Ukrainian special services.

For instance, here’s a NATO doc testifying that the popularity of the Russian leaders among the population of the Southern and Eastern regions is a challenge for Ukraine.

'Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran' McCain Has The Nerve To Call Obama's Foreign Policy 'Immoral'

I have a lot of disagreements with the Obama administration's policies, like the fact that they've basically continued President Bush's so-called "war on terror" and have bought into the idea that if you just drop enough bombs on people's heads from unmanned drones that you're somehow going to get rid of threats to the United States instead of just making them worse. The Patriot Act is still in place. We've done nothing to roll back the surveillance state that was put in place after 9-11 and I could go on and on, but I won't.

That said, one of the very last people I want to hear a lecture from on how the Obama administration has supposedly failed completely at foreign policy is Sen. McCrashy, John McCain, who still needs some anger management counseling over the fact that the uppity Kenyan usurper Barack Obama derailed his plans for being President of the United States.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Actually, McCain destroyed himself when he chose Caribou Barbie as his running mate.

Press Release - Tax Day - We Refuse to Pay for War and Weapons

“Dear IRS”
We Refuse to Pay for War and Weapons

“We cannot in conscience pay for the killing of other human beings or pay for war and preparations for war.”

“I have not included a check for the amount I still owe for 2014, about half of my total income tax bill. I do not voluntarily pay for government programs that involve killing human beings or requiring them to kill others.”

"As I calculate my total taxes ‘owed’ I like to dream about how the money will be used. Instead of paying for drones or bombs I am paying to ensure that everyone has access to basic needs and the tools needed to succeed in our community."

As April 15, tax day, approaches, thousands of individuals — like David and Jan Hartsough, Elizabeth Boardman, and Ari Rosenberg quoted above — sit down and write letters to the IRS, Congresspeople, the President, newspapers, blogs, and friends and family explaining why they protest war with their taxes.

Iran – The Story behind the Story

Allowing a country like Iran destroying the US hegemon’s power base by taking a sovereign decision to abandon the dollar for oil and gas trading – no way.

It would have meant the end of the dollar as the world’s chief reserve currency, and giving up the instrument of coercing the world into accepting Washington’s dictate, the tool that serves to dish out sanctions left and right – no way!

Washington’s seemingly blind and preposterous arrogance drives the closest allies into the ‘adversary’s camp. The FED (Federal Reserve Bank) announced on 2 April 2015 that it fined the German Commerz bank with 1.7 billion US dollars for dealing with Cuba, Sudan and Iran – Washington sanctioned countries.

When even the staunchest stooges of empire seek alliances in the East, the writing is on the wall, that the economic winds are shifting, that a tectonic sea-change is in the offing and that the Iran nuclear deal, one way or another, doesn’t really matter in the foreseeable future.

Israel attacked America on 9-11-01! – Shout it from the rooftops (Part II)

It’s time for those Americans who assisted the Israelis with 9-11-01 and who covered it up to be indicted, arrested, tried and convicted for their various roles in the attack on America on 9-11-01 by Israel and its coverup.

Numerous former top USG Officials and Members of Congress will someday soon be made accountable for committing espionage against America related to 9-11-01, its coverup and for all their war crimes based on lying about it and falsely blaming Islamics in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The aerial attack was conducted by two Canadian CF-18 Hornet fighter jets, with precision guided munitions. Perpetual war is the only valid explanation

Daily Pickings previously referenced Israel's Yinon plan for creating division and conflict across the Middle East to ensure Israel's supremacy. Israeli citizens, holding dual (Israel/US) nationality, are driving policy in Washington and the Pentagon.

The Pentagon Plan to ‘Divide and Rule’ the Muslim World by Nafeez Ahmed
Yemen is the latest casualty of a neoconservative strategy commissioned by the US Army to ‘capitalise on Sunni-Shia conflict’ in the Middle East - the goal is nothing short of ‘Western dominance’

The war on Yemen appears to have been choreographed, by encouraging the Houthis to oust the former regime, with the express intention of creating conflict. It is a pattern which repeats time and time again, most recently with the creation and support of Islamic State (IS, ISIL, ISIS) by Israel, US and their allies including Saudi Arabia. The outcome will, yet again, be chaos and mayhem.

The EMP Threat: All It Would Take Is a Couple of Explosions to Send America Back to the 1800s

Openly US-coordinated-and-assisted terrorist attacks by Saudi dictator Salman Abdulaziz have killed hundreds of civilians in Yemen, the poorest country in the Middle East, over the past two weeks. The Red Cross continues to try to get Abdulaziz to stop blocking humanitarian aid from entering the country, saying the situation for civilians is catastrophic and getting worse. AIPAC's "No One Wants War" in Iran Claim Debunked

The problem with saying “no one wants war” is of course that some people do want war. These include some congressional critics, some Israeli officials, some in the pro-Israel movement and some of Iran’s Sunni Arab neighbors. None acts as a monolith, but their beautiful diversity definitely includes some warmongers.

AIPAC, moreover, surely knows this. Sheldon Adelson, a sometime AIPAC funder and partner who remains a major force in the “pro-Israel movement” has for example called for nuking Iran. The group’s stable of regular speakers at fundraisers and events includes several figures who have, indeed, called for war with Iran. Just consider a January AIPAC fundraiser in New York, headlined by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and former Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I/D-CT)-both of whom have at some point called for military strikes. As Lieberman once boasted, there is a “broad bipartisan base of support” for such an attack.

Yemen campaign a ‘great mistake’: Iran official in Beirut

The Saudi-led military campaign launched two weeks ago in Yemen is a “great strategic mistake,” an adviser to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said Wednesday during a visit to Beirut.

“We believe that a huge mistake has been committed recently in the issue of Yemen,” Morteza Sarmadi, who is also the country's deputy foreign minister, said after meeting with Prime Minister Tammam Salam at the Grand Serail.

“The airstrikes in Yemen have resulted in numerous atrocities, and has shed the blood of innocent civilians... This should be ended.”

US aerospace command moving comms gear back to Cold War bunker

The US military command that scans North America’s skies for enemy missiles and aircraft plans to move its communications gear to a Cold War-era mountain bunker, officers said.

The shift to the Cheyenne Mountain base in Colorado is designed to safeguard the command’s sensitive sensors and servers from a potential electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack, military officers said.

The Pentagon last week announced a $700 million contract with Raytheon Corporation to oversee the work for North American Aerospace Command (NORAD) and US Northern Command.

Admiral William Gortney, head of NORAD and Northern Command, said that “because of the very nature of the way that Cheyenne Mountain’s built, it’s EMP-hardened.”

“And so, there’s a lot of movement to put capability into Cheyenne Mountain and to be able to communicate in there,” Gortney told reporters.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The timing here strikes me as most odd; there must be something going on here other than Cheyenne Mountain's being EMP-hardened.

That appears to be the "good reason" for American taxpayers to have to shell out yet another $700 million to retrofit the space; it doesn't feel like the "real reason".

Afghan soldier shoots at US troops

The incident happened after a meeting between Afghan provincial leaders and a US embassy official in the compound of the provincial governor in Jalalabad, said General Fazel Ahmad Sherzad, police chief for eastern Nangarhar province.

The Afghan soldier opened fire "right after the US official had left", he said.

The American troops immediately returned fire, killing the Afghan soldier, he added.

It is the second insider attack this year. An Afghan soldier killed three American contractors on January 29.

The Afghan soldier was identified by Gen Sherzad as Abdul Azim, from Laghman province.
