Looming US Ground Wars in Iraq and Syria

Current US direct and proxy wars aren't enough. Obama has more death and destruction in mind.

Confronting Russia recklessly on Ukraine. Risking East/West confrontation.

Possible nuclear war. Lunatics running things in Washington make the unthinkable possible.

Obama's Iraq and Syria wars rage. US special forces and CIA operatives directly involved.

On Thursday, Joint Chiefs Chairman General Martin Dempsey considered sending US ground forces to Iraq. Accompanying Iraqi troops, he said.

The United States, as the world's only superpower, is leading the global community in opposing Russia's aggression against Ukraine, as well as other threats, U.S. President Barack Obama said on Saturday.

HAS MICHELLE OBAMA DECLARED A WAR ON CHILDREN?

Angry parents in Chickasha complain their kids aren’t getting enough to eat at school. The Holton family says the meal the district calls a “Munchable” is ridiculous and family members say it needs to change.

The meal that daughter Kaytlin Shelton took a photo of Monday consists of lunch meat, a couple crackers, a slice of cheese and two pieces of cauliflower. Schools in Chickasha serve it every other week.

Declassified Israeli cables add evidence USS Liberty no accident

A Special Report by the Chicago Tribune details declassified cables, from the Israeli State Archive, which add further evidence that Israel knew it was attacking an American ship as it attacked the USS Liberty.

The cables obtained by the Tribune are were published in a 2007 special report, and detail exchanges between the Israeli ambassador in Washington and the Israeli foreign minister in Tel Aviv. Five days after the attack, Israeli Ambassador Avraham Harman worried that the deliberate nature of the attack had been uncovered, and cabled Foreign Minister Abba Eban that a source code-named "Hamlet" had told him that the Americans had:"clear proof that from a certain stage the pilot discovered the identity of the ship and continued the attack anyway."

SMOKING GUN! Gruber Admits Obama Was in Room During Planning of Cadillac Lie

June 13, 2012, Gruber interviews with Frontline and tells them that the Cadillac tax issue was addressed. Obama knew it was going to be a problem, and they all agreed to lie about it.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This video is badly out of sync, so you might want to listen only, but the point is that EVERYONE in that room, the President included, simply decided that lying to the "stupid American voters" was their best course of action.

Nowhere in the Constitution is the government authorized to lie to you. The Tenth Amendment prohibits the government from assuming that right. Therefore, I hold that every time the government lies to you, whether about the Cadillac Tax, human-caused global warming, or Saddam's nuclear weapons, Torpedoes in the Gulf of Tonkin, USS Liberty being an accident, anything at all; that government is unconstitutional, illegal, and illegitimate. Clearly from these recent revelations, the people inside government think lying is acceptable domestic policy, because it gets them what they want; more money and obedience from you. They will never change their behavior. They have no reason to. They lie about everything. Indeed I think they are afraid to ever tell the truth even once, lest we learn to tell the difference!

It is up to We The People to create a situation in which lies by politicians cost far more than the benefits lies bring them. When we have the courage to grab the liars and toss them out of our public buildings hard enough to bounce on the pavement three times, followed by a thick coat of tar and feathers and a ride out of town on a redwood rail, politicians will discover that truth is a virtue. And they will not discover that one second before.

As Nobel Peace Prize-winning President Obama prepares to give his "Syria Strike" speech tomorrow, we thought the fact that The White House had begun selling its 'official' Christmas 2013 ornament was worth pointing out. The theme - "Peace On Earth" of course, is positioned in a wrath of olive branches, peace doves and the reverse of the wonderful tree decoration states in oh-so-ironic-language, "Peace must be planted upon the tested foundations of political liberty," - a phrase from Woodrow Wilson's address prior to World War I. NATO 1949: The Origin of an Offensive, Expansionist, Imperialist Military Alliance

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO, was launched sixty five years ago following the signature of the Atlantic Pact in 1949. The original member states that came together under US tutelage claimed that their alliance was dedicated to the preservation of peace and to the defence of Western Europe against the supposed threat of military aggression. It is noteworthy that the launch of NATO coincided with the intensification of the Cold War, the political division of Germany and the first tentative steps by the US and Britain to rearm the new West German state.

How Big Oil Plans to Win Ugly in New York

A PR firm well known for its hardball tactics in defense of Big Tobacco will deliver the keynote address at tonight’s Independent Oil and Gas Association of New York’s (IOGA-NY) annual conference in Buffalo. The same talk titled, “Big Green Radicals: Exposing Environmental Groups,” was presented at the Western Energy Alliance annual meeting in Colorado this summer. Richard Berman, president of the consulting firm Berman and Company, told the audience of oil and gas executives that they were engaged in “an endless war,” and warned that, “You can either win ugly or lose pretty.”

An anti-fracking rally in front of the New York State Assembly in Albany in 2013. Berman and Company’s strategy fails to recognize that long before celebrities were touring gas fields, local landowners, farmers, and activists had already started asking questions about the merits of fracking.

Net Neutrality Stands in the Way of Larger Corporate Profits

These digital conduits are essential parts of America’s utility infrastructure, nearly as basic as electricity and water pipes. They connect us (and our children) to worldwide knowledge, news, diverse viewpoints and other fundamental tools of citizenship. And, of course, we can buy and sell through them, be entertained, run our businesses, connect with friends, get up-to-the-minute scores, follow the weather and — yes indeed — pay our bills.

Yet while this digital highway is deemed vital to our nation’s well-being, access to it is not offered as a public service — i.e., an investment in the common good. Instead, it is treated as just another profit center for a few

Obamacare Designed as a Scam

A willfully designed scam. A rationing scheme boon to predatory providers.

Enriching insurers, drug companies and large hospital chains. At the expense of universal affordable coverage.

Market-based for maximum profits. Letting providers escalate prices. Regulatory light. Loopholes let profiteers game the system.

Benefitting at the expense of ripped-off consumers. Leaving millions uninsured. Most others way underinsured.

A healthcare disaster. Unaffordable for most people. Providing inadequate protection.

Forcing millions to pay 40% or more out-of-pocket. For co-pays and deductibles. On top of costly premiums. Rising annually.

Double the cost of other developed countries. During protracted Main Street Depression conditions.

PANDEMIC NEWS ORDERED SHUT DOWN BY FEDS AS NYC EBOLA WATCH LIST EXPLODES TO 357 PEOPLE

"At the urging of the Obama Administration, the Associated Press and other news outlets have agreed not to report on suspected cases of Ebola in the United States until a positive viral RNA test is completed," writes the Gateway Pundit.

Apparently, all the negative Ebola news was causing potential voters to lose faith in government... and hence lose faith in the governing democrats as well.

So Fox News, CNN and all the other mainstream media outlets simply decided to stop reporting on Ebola news. "This story is officially over," said Sean Hannity of Fox News in applauding the work of the Fox Ebola Team.

Meanwhile, Ebola news has all but disappeared across the entire national media even as the pandemic is exploding at a 900% increased rate of infection in Sierra Leone.

ObamaCare Architect Admits "Lack Of Transparency" Is Huge Advantage Against "Stupidity Of The American Voter"

An architect of the federal healthcare law said last year that a “lack of transparency” and the “stupidity of the American voter” helped Congress approve ObamaCare.

He suggested that many lawmakers and voters didn’t know what was in the law or how its financing worked, and that this helped it win approval.

“Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage,” Gruber said. “And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really critical for the thing to pass.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The U.S. Supreme Court agreed today to rule on the Obamacare case King v. The Day Israel Attacked America

In 1967, at the height of the Arab-Israeli Six-Day War, the Israeli Air Force launched an unprovoked attack on the USS Liberty, a US Navy spy ship that was monitoring the conflict from the safety of international waters in the Mediterranean.

Israeli jet fighters hit the vessel with rockets, cannon fire and napalm, before three Israeli torpedo boats moved in to launch a second more devastating attack. Though she did not sink, the Liberty was badly damaged. Thirty-four US servicemen and civilian analysts were killed, another 171 were wounded.

Later Israel apologised for what it claimed to be a tragic case of mistaken identity. It said that it had believed the ship to be hostile Egyptian naval vessel. US President Lyndon Johnson was privately furious but publicly the White House chose not to challenge the word of its closest Middle East ally and accepted that the attack had been a catastrophic accident.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is the official Al Jazeera page for their recent documentary "The Day Israel Attacked America." Sadly it does not include the video itself, which is being scrubbed from YouTube as fas as they go up.

But what is worth reading are the comments on this page by Israel's defenders, who as usual are screaming that this is all an anti-Semitic plot! However, yesterday, no less than the Jerusalem Post confirmed that the government of Israel KNEW they were attacking an American ship when they attacked the USS Liberty.

No doubt the commenters below will now start screaming that the Jerusalem Post is anti-Semitic!

Left unmentioned in the Al Jazeera documentary (but covered in earlier ones) was that this was a naval variation of the Lavon Affair in which Israel attacked an American asset while framing Egypt for it, and the US was preparing an air strike against Egypt when the USS Liberty finally got a radio message out identifying who their real attackers were, which is the moment when Israel quit trying to sink the ship.

What is significant about the Al Jazeera docuentary is how much attention it has attracted. As I mentioned above, there have been previous documentaries about the USS Liberty such as BBC's "Dead in the Water", which came and went with little notice. That the current documentary has gained so much traction underscores that people are more willing to take an objective look at Israel's behavior these days, undeterred by screams of "anti-Semite" and "Jew Hater", accompanied by endless wagging of Hitler and the Nazis.

Inside the UN Resolution on Depleted Uranium

On October 31, a new United Nations General Assembly First Committee resolution on depleted uranium (DU) weapons passed overwhelmingly. There were 143 states in favor, four against, and 26 abstentions. The measure calls for UN member states to provide assistance to countries contaminated by the weapons. The resolution also notes the need for health and environmental research on depleted uranium weapons in conflict situations.

This fifth UN resolution on the subject was fiercely opposed by four depleted uranium-shooting countries — Britain, the United States, France and Israel — who cast the only votes in opposition. The 26 states that abstained reportedly sought to avoid souring lucrative trade relationships with the four major shooters.

ISIS: the Useful Enemy

The dark force of ISIS is apparently an invincible and unstoppable war juggernaut that is mercilessly killing and conquering in pursuit of establishing an Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. In reality, however, it is not as out of control as it appears. It is, indeed, carefully controlled and managed by its creators and supporters, that is, by the United States and its allies in the region—those who now pretend to have established a coalition to fight it! The U.S., Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and other allies in the region do not really need to fight ISIS to (allegedly) destroy it; all they need to do to extinguish its hellish flames is stop supplying fuel for its fire, that is, stop supplying it with funds, mercenaries, military training and armaments.

House Speaker John A. Boehner said President Obama will “poison” chances for cooperation with Congress if he moves unilaterally to claim powers to grant legal status to illegal immigrants.

“He’s going to burn himself if he continues to go down this path,” Mr. Boehner said.

Newly elected to his House seat and likely to be returned at speaker in the next Congress, Mr. Boehner said he would like to tackle immigration in Congress but wouldn’t commit to holding a vote, saying he wanted to talk with his fellow House Republicans first.

Many people do not know that the USA PATRIOT Act was already written and ready to go long before September 11th. Recent criticism of Bush's admission that he had received warnings only weeks before September 11th has made it more important to understand the origins of the USAPA.

The USA PATRIOT Act -- the so-called "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001," a.k.a. the USAPA -- was enacted in the immediate wake of 9/11, riding a wave of fear that spread over the nation. This Act has caused much concern amongst civil rights advocates. The Administration, however, responded to such concerns by calling critics unpatriotic. Now, the White House has had a similar response to critics of Bush's recent admission of early warnings.

Obama To Request Authorization for Iraq and Syria War

In his first public statement after the midterm elections, President Barack Obama said he would ask Congress for a new authorization of force to fight the Islamic State, the jihadist group currently operating in Iraq and Syria. The authorization the White House is seeking will replace the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force against al Qaeda that provided the legal basis for the invasion of Afghanistan and the 2002 authorization that gave legal cover for the invasion of Iraq. The administration had relied on the previous authorizations for the current campaign against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria despite protests from members of both parties in Congress.

IRS officials admit never trying to retrieve Lois Lerner's 'missing' emails

Now that Republican lawmakers will control both houses of the U.S. Congress beginning in Jan. 1, 2015, many conservatives and libertarians want them to pursue the truth regarding corruption, abuse and criminal acts within the decidedly partisan Internal Revenue Service. A top nonprofit, nonpartisan Washington, D.C., watchdog reported on Wednesday that officials from the scandal-ridden Internal Revenue Service (IRS) after saying they would do all they could to retrieve the requested documents, especially the IRS's controversial employee Lois Lerner's emails, admitted that they did absolutely nothing to try to find the mysterious "missing emails."

Sen. Shaheen wins before 'IRS plot' documents can hurt her

The Election Day victory being enjoyed by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, who managed to pull off a big win against moderate Republican Scott Brown -- who was branded "a carpetbagger" by Shaheen and her news media cronies -- may be short lived thanks to her own key role in the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) scandal. According to several sources, New Hampshire's ultra-progressive Shaheen is up to her "self-righteous neck" in a plot with the infamous Lois Lerner, President Barack Obama’s political appointee to the IRS, to lead a politcal vendetta of harassment against conservative nonprofit groups, especially True the Vote, in the midet of the 2012 election, said political strategist Michael Barker, a former criminal prosecuting attoney.

The 2014 Midterm Was an Anti-Obama Election. That’s Bad News for Hillary Clinton.

It’s hard to avoid the conclusion that last night’s midterm election was a referendum on President Obama. Republicans in nearly every close race made opposition to President Obama issue number one. Exit poll and pre-election surveys make it clear that voters were dissatisfied with the economy and the president’s job performance, and they cast their votes in protest of the president.

Humbled Obama tells voters: ‘I hear you’

After a crushing defeat for Democrats in the midterm elections, President Obama told American voters Wednesday he understands their frustrations and is fully prepared to work with Republicans in Congress.

“The American people sent a message, one that they’ve sent for several elections now — they expect the people they elect to work as hard as they do. They expect us to focus on their ambitions and not ours,” the president said during a news conference at the White House. “They want us to get the job done. All of us, in both parties, have a responsibility to address that sentiment. Still, as president, I have a unique responsibility to try and make this town work. To everyone who voted, I want you to know I hear you.”

What Do US Election Results Mean for US-Israel Relations?

Prof. Eytan Gilboa, an expert on American-Israeli relations, spoke with Arutz Sheva about what he deemed the "three major issues Israel is concerned about," that could be significantly impacted by this change in US legislative control.

The first - the war with Islamic State (ISIS). Although the United States has been launching airstrikes against the terrorist group in Syria and Iraq, many Republicans feel the Obama administration's foreign policy is not doing enough against what many constituents view as a "serious threat."

With the Republican victory an increase in military spending and a comprehensive debate over policy toward the Islamic State seems likely.

In other words, this election changed nothing. The US Government still bows to Israel, the economy will continue to loot the poor to give to the rich, your children will continue to die in wars.

‘Election Eve Dump:’ Eric Holder Releases Fast and Furious Documents That Got Him Cited for Contempt

Justice Department officials provided House investigators with thousands of documents related to Operation Fast and Furious that President Obama had previously claimed were exempt from congressional review.

In an “election eve dump,” as House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) put it, DOJ handed over 64,280 pages of documents, a release that is still only a partial fulfillment of the committee’s request.

“This production is nonetheless a victory for the legislative branch, a victory for transparency, and a victory for efforts to check Executive Branch power,” Issa said of the release.

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger Agreed to Starve Americans for Israel in the Event of an Oil Crisis

In 1975, the US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, secretly brokered a deal in which the United States of America guaranteed Israel’s oil supply in the event of a crisis. The 1975 Israel-United States Memorandum of Understanding (see the full text below) required the United States to maintain an oil reserve for Israel and guarantee the shipping of that oil to Israel in times of emergency. This deal has cost the United States more than a hundred billion dollars since it was first enacted. The most troubling aspect of this deal was not the cost however, but the stipulation that in case of an oil emergency in which both the US and Israel needed oil, the US would give its oil to Israel. No Matter Who Wins the 2014 Midterm Elections, Obama Loses

The consensus of the polls and models is that the GOP is a clear favorite to win majority control of the Senate and pick up several seats in the House in today's midterm election. It's possible, if not exactly likely, that the polls are wrong, systematically biased against Democrats, who could still pull off a victory—or at least a less glaring defeat.

Government Lied About Pandemic Which Killed 50 Million People … Attempt to “Prevent Panic” Backfired

In the United States, national and local government and public health authorities badly mishandled the [1918 "Spanish Flu"] epidemic [which killed up to 50 million people worldwide], offering a useful case study.

The context is important. Every country engaged in World War I tried to control public perception. To avoid hurting morale, even in the nonlethal first wave the press in countries fighting in the war did not mention the outbreak. (But Spain was not at war and its press wrote about it, so the pandemic became known as the Spanish flu).

The United States was no different. In 1917 California Senator Hiram Johnson made the since-famous observation that “The first casualty when war comes is truth.” The U.S. government passed a law that made it punishable by 20 years in jail to “utter, print, write or publish any disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language about the government of the United States.”

Are Progressives Finking Out on Foreign Policy?

For all the endless fund-raising appeals and election hyperbole, few progressive politicians want to talk about our biggest foreign policy challenge, the escalation of American involvement in Syria and Iraq. Both Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders voted against training and arming the “moderates” in Syria. But neither have wanted to make an issue of Obama’s military intervention, and few on the left have called for them to do so.

This is sad, but not surprising, as I warned over a year ago in “Don’t Let Hillary Housebreak the New, New Left.” It’s wonderful that voters want more populist domestic policies, and it’s marvelously misleading that the multi-millionaire Clinton is verbally attacking Wall Street billionaires. I don’t think this is what my old comrades had in mind when they talked of class struggle.

Why is there such an explosion of violence across the Middle East? Here's an alternative view...

Not so with America and the war in Syria. “Right from the beginning of this crisis, I never truly felt that the issue was about President Assad,” she says. “It was about the weakening and destruction of Syria. There has been so much destruction – of hospitals, schools, factories, government institutions, you name it. I think the Americans take their battles against leaders and presidents – but only as a pretext to destroy countries. Saddam was not the real target –it was Iraq. And it’s the same for Libya now – America told everyone it was about Gaddafi. The real issue is about weakening the Arab armies, whoever they are. When the Americans invaded Iraq, what was the first thing they did? They dissolved the Iraqi army.”

Free College or Another New War?

Noting that U.S. college costs have gone up 500% since 1985, the Washington Post recommends seven countries where U.S. students can go to college for free without bothering to learn the language of the natives or anything so primitive.

These are nations with less wealth than the United States has, but which make college free or nearly free, both for citizens and for dangerous illegals visiting their Homelands.

How do they do it?

Three of them have a higher top tax rate than the United States has, but four of them don’t.

What does the United States spend its money on that these other countries do not? What is the largest public program in the United States? What makes up over 50% of federal discretionary spending in the United States?

If you said “war,” it’s possible you were educated in a fine foreign country.

Presidential crimes: Then and now

Writing for Americans is not always an enjoyable experience. Many readers want to have their prejudices confirmed, not challenged.

Emotions rule their reason, and they are capable of a determined resistance to facts and are not inhibited from displays of rudeness and ignorance. Indeed, some are so proud of their shortcomings that they can’t wait to show them to others. Some simply cannot read and confuse explanations with justifications as if the act of explaining something justifies the person or event explained. Thankfully, all readers are not handicapped in these ways or there would be no point in trying to inform the American people.

No matter who wins, today's election outcome can't stop America's head-on course toward self-destruction

Regardless of the outcome of today's U.S. mid-term elections, there are some things that won't change one iota. While most of America has finally come to realize what a disaster Obama's presidency has really been in real-world terms, there are at least five other disasters looming in America's near future. And neither Republicans nor Democrats have any real plan to deal with these issues... especially when it's so much easier to get elected by slandering your opponent rather than proposing practical solutions.

So here's my warning on the five biggest threats still facing America in the years ahead. Don't hold your breath thinking anyone in Washington D.C. is willing to address any of these. After all, they are the ones who created most of these problems in the first place.

Two years ago, in hushed tones at first, then ever louder, the financial world began discussing that which shall never be discussed in polite company - the end of the system that according to many has framed and facilitated the US Dollar's reserve currency status: the Petrodollar, or the world in which oil export countries would recycle the dollars they received in exchange for their oil exports, by purchasing more USD-denominated assets, boosting the financial strength of the reserve currency, leading to even higher asset prices and even more USD-denominated purchases, and so forth, in a virtuous (especially if one held US-denominated assets and printed US currency) loop.

US Destroying Syria’s Oil Infrastructure Under Guise of Fighting ISIS

The US is considering bombing pipelines in Syria, which it claims is in an attempt to cut off the huge profits being made by ISIS from captured oilfields.

The Independent quotes Julieta Valls Noyes, the deputy assistant secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs during a visit to London, that ISIS was making $2 million a day off oil sales and that the US would consider airstrikes as well as “kinetic strikes against some pipelines” and “actual physical action to stop the flow”.

The trouble with this justification for destroying Syria’s oil pipelines, is that ISIS does not have the capability to use the pipelines to transfer oil. ISIS transports the stolen oil on the back of trucks, and sells it on the black market in Turkey.

FLASHBACK 2010 - Obama Administration Gives NIH Priority to Bioweapons Research

The priorities of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the area of bacteriology have been “catastrophically re-ordered” by emphasizing bioweapons research over non-bioweapons research, a prominent authority states.

Giving priority to bioweapons research at NIH, started under the Bush Administration and continuing under President Obama, “diverts resources from critical public-health and scientific objectives,” says Richard Ebright, Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J.

“The negative impact has been most severe in bacteriology, in which NIH research priorities have been catastrophically re-ordered—with research on bacterial bioweapons receiving more support than research on the top five bacterial causes of death combined—and in which non-bioweapons research has suffered catastrophic losses in resources and personnel,” Ebright said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, back in 2010 Obama ordered the NIH to switch their priority from health to bioweapons research. Professor Francis Boyle reports that NIH spliced Ebola with the common cold to weaponize it, and evidence has surfaced that the bioweapon lab at Kenema was testing a vaccine against this weaponized Ebola last January ... which is when the Ebola outbreak erupted in the area around that lab. Now Obama has quietly "paused" offensive bioweapon research in the US.

This is starting to read like the first chapter of Stephen King's "The Stand", where the world population is all but wiped out when a bioweapon, popularly called "Captain Trips", escaped from a US laboratory.

The administration's handling of Ebola as if it is no big deal may partly be rooted in their awareness that the US, and Obama, may be at root responsible for this deadly outbreak!

Obama's Soak the Rich 60% Tax Hike on Investment Income Is Drowning the Middle Class

The curse of the U.S. economy today is the downward trend in “take-home pay.” This is the most crucial economic indicator for most Americans. ... Most workers’ pay has not kept up with inflation for at least six years. ...

Why aren’t wages rising? There are several reasons, including that many jobs today don’t pay as well as the ones lost during the recession. ObamaCare has made health insurance more expensive for businesses—as the nation’s biggest employer, Wal-Mart , recently reported—and that takes a bite out of take-home pay. Yet one factor is often overlooked: the tax increase on “the rich” at the beginning of 2013.

In California, Consumer Watchdog's Prop 45 Challenges Obamacare — From the Left

Blue Shield of California, one of the state's four major health insurers, has a sales office on the 20th floor of the Pacific Corporate Towers in El Segundo. Had the employees peered down to the plaza on a recent Tuesday morning, they would have seen a small cluster of picketers.

The US Economy Runs Into A Problem If Oil Hits $75

US shale oil is now the marginal swing barrel in the new world oil order, and as Goldman Sachs warns (despite Larry Kudlow apparently knowing better), a decline in WTI to $75/bbl would start to significantly slow US shale growth (and thus employment, capex, and the entire US economy).

9/11 Was NATO’s License to Expand Globally

The 9/11 attacks on the United States undoubtedly benefited a number of actors, including the American military-intelligence complex, Israel, and most definitely, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The Cold War-era, the area of responsibility for which had long been confined to Europe and North America, used the provisions of Article 5 of the NATO Charter – which states that an attack on one member is an attack on all – to extend NATO’s power deep into Eurasia, particularly in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

After engaging in out-of-area invasions and occupations of Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Libya, and Syria and, again in Iraq, against the «Islamic State,» the «North Atlantic» military bloc has transformed itself from a Cold War defensive alliance into a global offensive axis of nations that acts with or without United Nations authorization.
