'They weren't laughing at me - they were laughing WITH me. We were having fun!' Trump claims laughter at the United Nations was out of 'respect' for the U.S.

Donald Trump says that world leaders weren't laughing at him they were laughing with him during his United Nations address.

Trump insisted at a Wednesday news conference that he started grinning and foreign counterparts chimed in with laughter.

'They weren't laughing at me, they were laughing with me. We had fun,' he said. 'That was not laughing at me.'

Then why did you say you didn't expect that reaction?

Trump channels Netanyahu at the U.N., as his top policy-makers meet with Iran-war-mongers

As you surely know, Donald Trump channeled Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday in his speech to the United Nations General Assembly. He mentioned Iran 14 times (compared to 0 for Russia and 4 for Israel) and all but called for regime change. Iran’s “brutal regime” was financing the destruction of Syria, its leaders “sow chaos, death and destruction,” its “corrupt dictatorship” should be isolated by the world.

This sly appeal was right out of the Netanyahu script:

[W]e ask all nations to support Iran’s people as they struggle to reclaim their religious and righteous destiny.

The media made a lot of Trump’s sovereignty doctrine– nationalism and “patriotism” over “globalism” and multilateralism– but even those remarks had a pro-Israel cast. Trump was talking about the US rejection of two Israel-bugaboos, the UN Human Rights Council and International Criminal Court.

US Evangelical Pastors Are the World's #1 Warmongers - the Opposite of Christian Behavior

As I said in a previous column, Donald Trump’s appointments of John Bolton as National Security Advisor, Gina Haspel as CIA Director, Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State and Nikki Haley as the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. are the formation of a full-fledged War Cabinet.

The signs are ubiquitous that Trump plans to take America to war against Iran and Syria in much the same way that G.W. Bush took us to war against Iraq and Afghanistan. All it will take is another false flag attack that can be blamed on Iran.

House Resolution Directs Trump to End US Support for Yemen War

IN CONGRESS, FRUSTRATION with the U.S. role in Yemen is nearing a breaking point. Sen. Bob Menendez — the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee — is holding up a $2 billion arms sale to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates over concerns that the two countries routinely bomb civilian targets. Meanwhile, in the House, U.S. assistance to the Saudi- and UAE-led coalition is about to face another major hurdle.

On Wednesday, California Democrat Ro Khanna introduced a resolution invoking the 1973 War Powers Act, declaring that Congress never authorized U.S. support for the coalition in Yemen and directing President Donald Trump to withdraw U.S. troops from “hostilities” against the Houthis, the Iranian-backed rebel group at war with Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The resolution would not affect U.S. forces who are on the ground in Yemen fighting Al Qaeda

US Officials Disappointed at Policies to Isolate Iran

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi blasted US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s report on Iran's activities, saying that it proved the American officials' disappointment at policies to isolate Tehran.

The report contains a reality and it is disappointment of the US officials over failure of their policies to isolate Iran, Qassemi said in reaction to the statements of Pompeo in a meeting themed ‘unity against Iran’ and presenting a report on Iran’s activities in New York on Wednesday.

“Today, the world and all independent countries are determined to display their resolve for respecting international agreements, international law and their responsibilities for preserving the JCPOA,” he said.

Bannon Declares ‘War Rooms’ to Win European Elections

Bannon Declares ‘War Rooms’ to Win European Elections – and That’s Not Meddling?

One trait of imperial decadence is untrammeled hubris. Given the increasingly arrant arrogance on display by United States’ officials, public figures and news media we can safely conclude that this empire is accelerating into decadence.

A recent spectacular example comes with separate visits to Europe by US defense secretary James Mattis and Steve Bannon, the former aide to President Trump.

Bannon was addressing a rightwing forum in Italy at the weekend in which he declared that he would be devoting “80 per cent” of his time to help anti-European Union parties win seats in the next European parliamentary elections due in May 2019.

Bannon said he was setting up a coordinating committee, called “The Movement”, in Brussels, from where his political project would direct “war rooms” across Europe to ensure that anti-EU and anti-immigrant parties would succeed in gaining up to a third of the total seats in the 27-nation member bloc’s parliamentary elections. In short, a declaration of political warfare. Unapologetic. Brazen. Arrogant.

Naked Emperors Don't Get Much Respect

What happens when most of your military infrastructure is suddenly obsolete?

The emperor was the last to realize he was naked. This is not unusual, emperors are the last to find out anything. Who has the fortitude to tell them the truth, especially an upsetting truth? And so it is with the US’s empire, the existence of which most of its citizens, media organs, and officials are unaware or won’t acknowledge. The truth is, the American empire, acknowledged or not, is over. It will be years before that’s accepted by the governing class. They’ll never officially inform their subjects, who are stuck with the tab for its immensely wasteful spending.

‘People actually laughed at a president’: At U.N. speech, Trump suffers the fate he always feared

President Trump has long argued that the United States has been taken advantage of by other nations — a “laughing stock to the entire World,” he said on Twitter in 2014 — and his political rise was based on the premise that he had the strength and resolve to change that.

But at the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday, Trump got a comeuppance on the world’s biggest stage. Delivering a speech that aimed to establish U.S. “sovereignty” over the whims and needs of other nations, the president’s triumphant moment was marred in the first minute when he was met by laughter — at his expense.

The embarrassing exchange came when Trump boasted that his administration had accomplished more over two years than “almost any administration” in American history, eliciting audible guffaws in the cavernous chamber hall.

Trump slams China at UN for ‘victimising’, ‘cheating’ and ‘plundering’ US

US president’s speech to the General Assembly suggests further escalation in trade war with Beijing, while praise for Kim Jong-un cites ‘his courage’ on nuclear disarmament

US President Donald Trump used the occasion of his second address to the United Nations on Tuesday to amplify his anger about China’s trade and economic policies, accusing Beijing of “relentless product dumping” and other unfair practices.

Singling out China as a rogue nation in terms of trade while discussing his administration’s most pressing foreign policy issues at the 73rd annual UN General Assembly in New York, Trump’s move signals further escalation in the bilateral trade war that started in July, and his administration’s determination to change the course of the Sino-US relationship, analysts said.

Trump Pushes His Destructive Iran Policy at the UN

Aside from being laughed at by the audience, Trump achieved very little in his speech to the U.N. General Assembly today. The president talked a lot about the importance of sovereignty, and then called on the rest of the world to gang up on Iran to infringe on their sovereignty. It is nothing new for hard-liners to treat the sovereignty of their country as sacrosanct at the same time that they routinely violate the sovereignty of other states, but Trump made a point of boasting about this double standard before the entire world.

There was also the usual hypocritical denunciation of Iranian behavior that we have come to expect in these speeches:

Seven Years after NATO Overthrew Gaddafi in Libya, Western-Backed Gov Begs for Another Intervention

A month of violent in-fighting in Libya’s capital has prompted the “official” government of Libya to call for UN intervention, just seven years after the 2011 NATO intervention laid waste to the country and plunged it into a state of chaos from which it has never recovered.

In late August, the Libyan capital of Tripoli became gripped by in-fighting between rival militant factions, factions that all technically operate under Libya’s UN-recognized Government of National Accord (GNA). The fighting allegedly began when one of the armed groups, the Kaniyat, launched an attack on Tripoli after media reports had emerged detailing the lavish lifestyles of other GNA armed groups, like the Tripoli Revolutionaries’ Brigade.

Local media reports have indicated that the warring groups have used heavy weapons, including artillery, to gain the upper hand and that residential areas have been targeted. In addition, the chaos in the capital also resulted in one of the largest prison breaks in Libya’s history, resulting in the escape of around 400 detainees, some of whom joined the fight.

5 Reasons Why Washington Was the Main Culprit in Ahvaz Terror Attack

On Sunday, September 23, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani couldn’t be more accurate when he said the United States is a "bully" that wants to create insecurity in the Islamic Republic, following an attack on a military parade that killed 26 people, including members of the country's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps.

Rouhani further accused the US-backed Persian Gulf Arab states of providing financial and military support for anti-government terrorist groups inside Iran.

This is not out of the ordinary. President Trump’s last year visit to Saudi Arabia, during which he loudly pushed for general hostility toward Iran, can’t help but also be noted for being followed so quickly by virtually unheard of terror attacks and unrest in Iran. On balance, the Trump administration isn't eyeing America's safety as much as a regime change:

“I think it’s horrible what the Democrats have done,” he said to reporters at a meeting with the United Nations General Assembly. “It’s a con game they’re playing … they’re really con artists.”

Additionally, Trump made it quite clear what he thought of the second accuser, Deborah Ramirez, and her flimsy accusations.

The blocking of Palestinian rights at an international level is endorsed by the PA

The illusion of two camps – Israel and the US purportedly opposing the Palestinian Authority and the international community – is being promoted by Abbas, and none of the political actors are averse to the gimmick. As US President Donald Trump surpasses the pro-Israel approach of previous US presidents, it has become easier to focus on the current contempt for international law and ignore the subtle manoeuvres which paved the way for the Zionist colonisation of Palestine. Yet it is impossible to ignore one main fact: Trump and Israel are holding themselves beyond any accountability whatsoever and are wilfully eliminating Palestinian rights, while the international community and the PA hold conferences and meetings, and give meaningless speeches, in which support is professed but action is withheld.

China Leaves Door Open For Trade War Talks

China leaves door open for trade war talks but not with American ‘knife at its neck’

The door for renewed high-level trade talks between Beijing and Washington is still open but China will not agree to proceed with a “knife at its neck”, Wang Shouwen, the vice-minister of commerce who led the Chinese delegation to Washington for the last round of trade talks in August, said on Tuesday.

China has referred to US tariffs as a knife at its throat since the first levies were imposed in July. While Wang and seven other top officials briefing the media on Monday’s “white paper” did not say directly that the United States would have to remove all tariffs before any new trade talks, that condition seemed to be implied.

The white paper is the country’s most comprehensive statement of its trade war stance to date and came as new tit-for-tat tariffs came into effect.

Document Lays Out China's Trade Stance

White paper warns US actions risk global economic woes

China published a white paper on Sino-US trade frictions on Monday, defending the legitimacy of its positions on trade and innovation practices while accusing the United States of trade bullying and intimidation.
***
It said US President Donald Trump's administration has trumpeted his "America First" slogan since 2017 and has abandoned the fundamental norms of mutual respect and equal consultation that guide international relations.

Rather, it has brazenly preached unilateralism, protectionism and economic hegemony, making false accusations against many countries and regions, particularly China, intimidating other countries through trade measures such as imposing tariffs and attempting to impose its own interests on China through extreme pressure, according to the white paper.

China has been dealing with these differences by seeking common ground while shelving divergences. The US, however, has been contradicting itself and constantly challenging China, which caused serious damage to bilateral trade ties and poses a grave threat to the multilateral trading system>>>

US Ruining 'Big Picture' Of Bilateral Relations:: China Daily editorial

***
Punitive tariffs may not be as damaging to Beijing as Washington believes, and the US will not escape unscathed, which could damage growth prospects across the broader world economy.

But that is not the moot point. That the issue is increasingly moving beyond trade is the real cause of concern, and that is where the real danger lies.

When a trade conflict spills over into other aspects of bilateral ties, the consequences become hard to predict. That's why signs of the accelerating drain on mutual goodwill deserve serious attention from both parties.

Although Washington has repeatedly named Beijing as a strategic competitor, US State Secretary Mike Pompeo's description of it as a greater threat to the US than Russia is hard to digest. U.S. History of Chemical Weapons Use and Complicity in War Crimes

The world is once again witnessing the height of U.S. hypocrisy as members of the U.S. State Department ratchet up anti-Russian and anti-Syrian rhetoric surrounding the use of chemical weapons in Syria and the UK. Ambassador Nikki Haley has warned Syria, Iran and Russia that they will be held accountable for their pre-determined use of chemical weapons in Idlib on innocent civilians. No evidence was provided to support her threats. The United States carried out cruise missile strikes on two previous occasions, and each time provided no evidence to prove their assertion that the Syrian government used chemical weapons in attacking civilians, nor was any rational reason given for such an obviously irrational decision on the part of the Syrian state. No evidence has ever been provided to justify the clear international crime of aggression committed by the United States on these two earlier occasions. Now, the UK and the U.S. are both attempting to accuse the Russian government of using chemical weapons in an alleged attempted assassination of a Russian national on UK soil. Once again, no real evidence has been presented, only assertions and hearsay.

Russia Says US Poses Main Threat to Syria's Territorial Integrity

***
The United States and its allies have been involved in airstrikes on Syria since 2014, claiming they seek to root out the Daesh Takfiri terrorists. The strikes have had no approval from the Syrian government or a mandate from the United Nations.

Washington and its allies have defied the Damascus government’s call to leave Syrian soil despite the collapse of the Takfiri terror group late last year.

Trump CAVES - delays order to declassify Russia probe documents

President Donald Trump has delayed his order to declassify documents related the the FBI’s surveillance of former campaign adviser Carter Page, and asked the Department of Justice to review the documents first.
Trump said on Friday that he met with the Department of Justice, who felt that releasing the documents could have a perceived negative impact on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing ‘Russiagate’ probe, and has received calls from allies asking that the documents not be released, due to their sensitive intelligence content.

The Odd Chabad Connection Between Putin and Trump

Let’s begin here:

Starting in 1999, [Vladimir] Putin enlisted two of his closest confidants, the oligarchs Lev Leviev and Roman Abramovich, who would go on to become Chabad’s biggest patrons worldwide, to create the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia under the leadership of Chabad rabbi Berel Lazar, who would come to be known as “Putin’s rabbi.”

Putin is a Chabad Lubavitch puppet

While RT and a lot of alternative news outlets portray Putin as some sort of savior, the reality is that he is just playing his role in the Jewish Babylonian messianic soap new world order. Instead of expelling jewish influence in his country after the fairly recent satanic mass slaughter of up to 80 million of his Russian brothers and sisters by jews after the "Bolshevik" revolution, Putin is calling for harder punishments for anti semitic expressions in Russia. He proposed to members of the European Jewish Congress, that Jews facing a rising tide of anti-Semitism and bigotry farther west should move to Russia, where he said they would be better accepted. Readers of the Jerusalem Post have chosen Putin as their person of the year.

Memoranda for the President on 9/11: Time for the Truth — False Flag Deep State Truth! UPDATE Adds Videos of Authors

God Bless America. On 15 February 2016, our President, speaking to a wildly enthusiastic crowd in Bluffton, South Carolina, promised that he would find out — and inform the American public — “who really knocked down the World Trade Center.”

As all engaged and informed citizens now know, the 9/11 Commission was a controlled cover-up at the same level of atrocity as 9/11 itself, and totally comparable to the Warren Commission controlled cover-up on the assassination of John F. Kennedy by Lyndon Baines Johnson, Allen Dulles, J. Edgard Hoover, and varied private sector participants as well as the government of Israel, which sent two witnesses to Dallas.

This collection of twenty-eight memoranda, most one page but a few two pages and one four pages, provide the President all he needs to know to do three big things when he gives his planned speech on 9/11 on 11 September 2018:

Trump goes on offensive in Kavanaugh fight, calls on accuser to provide a police report

President Trump on Friday went on the offensive in the battle over Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation after days of laying low, calling on accuser Christine Blasey Ford to provide a police report, slamming Democrats for waiting to share the allegations and telling senators to move ahead with a vote.

In a sharp change of tone after days of reserved statements regarding the allegations, the president unleashed a torrent of tweets, first in defense of Kavanaugh. He then put pressure on Ford to furnish a police report, though there’s no indication one was ever filed.

“I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!” he tweeted.

Washington’s Endless Sanctions Are Finally Backfiring

Sanctions are worse than ineffective: they have potentially far-reaching economic impacts. Limiting Iran’s oil sales pushes up energy prices globally. Penalizing technology sales to Moscow disproportionately affects European firms. Even smaller markets matter. Warned Peter Harrell, an attorney specializing in sanctions: “Trump’s August 9 tariffs on Turkey spurred a dramatic market selloff that not only affected Ankara but also caused the stocks of major European banks with business in Turkey to plunge and raised concerns about contagion to other emerging markets.” Washington’s promiscuous use of economic sanctions has moved the global economy away from the liberal marketplace.

Trump Breaks His Silence on Kavanaugh Accuser – Makes Impossible Demand

The President knows what he’s doing making this request. It’s the same tactic Ford is using to impugn the reputation of Brett Kavanaugh. You can’t prove a negative. Kavanaugh can’t prove he didn’t assault Ford because Ford can still claim it happened. Likewise, Ford can’t produce police documents because she didn’t go to the police after the incident occurred.

Trump is asking her to produce documents that don’t exist, or, at least, likely don’t exist.

Democrats will hate this kind of dismissive request, but all Trump is doing is playing Ford’s game. She is making unsubstantiated claims. Trump wants proof.

Israeli Military tells Russia Syrian Air Defense Teams To Blame For Downing Of Il-20

An Israeli military delegation led by Air Force Chief Major General Amikam Norkin provided Russia with a report saying that Syria’s indiscriminate air defense fire was the cause of the downing of a Russian Ilyushin Il-20 aircraft, a senior Israeli army official said at a briefing for foreign reporters on Friday.

"Our presentation showed that Syrian air defense teams recklessly and irresponsibly fired missiles after our fighter jets had already left the area, downing the Russian aircraft," he said. "We provided the Russians with our data, they had some questions that we responded to, and we also stressed that it was not a provocation on Israel’s part," the official added.

US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard Blasts America’s Support for Al-Qaeda in Syria, as Trump Threatens Further Military Action

US military veteran and congresswomen for Hawaii, Tulsi Gabbard, has slammed US foreign policy in Syria.

Arming al-Qaeda

On the 13th of September, Gabbard told [23:06] comedian and satirist Jimmy Dore:

“Since 2011 both overtly and covertly, the United States has been providing arms, intelligence, and equipment to fighters who are allied with, fighting along side, working with, al Qaeda in this regime change war.

So these very same terrorists who attacked us on 9/11. We’ve been supporting for years, as this ground force to fight in this regime change war that we have been quietly waging now for seven years.”

These statements are strikingly up front, given the fact that these policies began under Democratic Party President Barack Obama.

On the 17th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Gabbard also criticised Trump’s opposition the Syrian government’s plans to retake Idlib, by way of tweet:

FEMA puts off test of emergency system that lets Trump text every U.S. cellphone as Americans threaten to turn off their phones in protest because they fear he'll use it to carp about the Mueller probe

Russian FM: US Proposed Refugees Leave Rukban Camp for Syrian Army Territory

The US proposed refugees at the Rukban Camp in southern Homs leave the area for Syrian government-held territories, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday afternoon
***
The US and Russian governments have been at odds over the fate of the Rukban Refugee Camp, with both sides trading accusations over the suffering of the people there.

Due to the US’ control over the Tanf Zone in southern Homs, the Damascus and Moscow have blamed Washington for the plight of the refugees, adding that their occupation of this vast desert area has done more harm than good.

In turn, the US has accused the Syrian and Russian governments of purposely prohibiting aid from reaching the Rukban Camp.

With the recent departure of one of the largest US-backed rebel groups in the Tanf Zone, it appears that the US is working to find a solution to issue with the Rukban Camp and their eventual departure from the area.

The 9/11 attacks were mass-killing crimes. The perpetrators were master criminals. And they are still at large. Which brings me to Donald Trump.

EXCLUSIVE: Trump says exposing ‘corrupt’ FBI probe could be ‘crowning achievement’ of presidency

President Trump in an exclusive interview with Hill.TV said Tuesday he ordered the release of classified documents in the Russia collusion case to show the public the FBI probe started as a “hoax” and that exposing it could become one of the “crowning achievements” of his presidency.

“I hope to be able to call this, along with tax cuts and regulation and all the things I’ve done ... in its own way this might be the most important thing because this was corrupt,” he said.

Trump also said he regretted not firing former FBI Director James Comey immediately instead of waiting until May 2017, confirming an account his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, gave Hill.TV earlier in the day that Trump was dismayed in 2016 by the way Comey handled the Hillary Clinton email case and began discussing firing him well before he became president.

The War for the President’s Mind

The Woodward book is supposed to be a blow against the Trump administration for supposedly depicting an administration in “chaos,” but it actually manages to show the foreign policy aspect of Trump’s White House in its best light, albeit unintentionally. Woodward, being the swamp-creature that he is, uncritically cites administration officials who denounce Trump’s Singapore peace initiative with North Korea as prima facie evidence that the man is unhinged. This is the conventional wisdom inside the Washington Beltway: out in the real world, however, Trump’s view is evidence of his sanity. While the political class is worried that declaring the Korean war over and done with will pull the plug on the US military occupation of South Korea – a possibility Woodward conjures as a kind of Armageddon — normal Americans are hoping to see the troops come home after nearly 70 years!

This was a deal made by unequal adversaries, with one exploiting the weakness of the other in order to impose its demands.

The Oslo Accords effectively put an end to the PLO's struggle for the liberation of Palestine and facilitated the occupation by making it less costly for the Israeli state. The establishing of the Palestinian Authority relieved Israel of the burden of providing for the needs of the Palestinian people. It also set up a Palestinian-run security body which took up policing the Palestinians, making it easier for Israel to control them and suppress the popular struggle.

China won’t weaken currency to help exporters amid US trade war, Premier Li Keqiang says

Comments to World Economic Forum in Tianjin are implicit rejection of Donald Trump’s claim that Beijing has been manipulating its currency

China has no intention of weakening its currency to help exporters and will not engage in any form of “competitive devaluation” of its exchange rate, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Wednesday, a day after the latest tit-for-tat measures in the US trade war.

“Some people think China deliberately [devalued the yuan]; this is groundless,” Li said, in an indirect response to US President Donald Trump’s allegations that Beijing is manipulating its currency.
