Trump cannot handle the reality that's overcoming his presidency: Analyst

An American political analyst and activist says US President Donald Trump thinks he’s in command of the situation when the reality is that “he’s losing his hold on his presidency.”

Myles Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Wednesday after Trump warned that the people of America would revolt if he were impeached.

"It’s hard to impeach somebody who hasn’t done anything wrong and who’s created the greatest economy in the history of our country,” Trump said during an interview with Reuters in the Oval Office of the White House on Tuesday.

“I’m not concerned, no,” he said when asked about his potential impeachment. “I think that the people would revolt if that happened.”

Fox News Host Harris Faulkner Slams Pelosi Over Hypocrisy

Pelosi was discussing a meeting she and Chuck Schumer had with President Trump, in which the pair were challenged to hold a debate on border wall funding in front of the press.

Trump encouraged the debate in front of the cameras, while Schumer and Pelosi encouraged him to hold talks behind closed doors instead.

“So I don’t think we should have a debate in front of the press on this,” Pelosi admitted.

Pundits openly wondered why the Democrats wouldn’t engage, transparency being one of their pet political keywords.

Cohen Sentenced To Three Years In Prison

Longtime Trump Attorney & Fixer Michael Cohen Sentenced To Three Years In Prison
***
In his remarks, Judge William Pauley III reportedly spoke of the "smorgasbord" of crimes committed by the former Trump loyalist. "Each of these crimes standing alone warrant considerable punishment," the judge said.

The sentencing followed a slew of guilty pleas made in separate cases involving federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York and by special counsel Robert Mueller. Most notably, Cohen admitted last month to arranging hush payments at Trump's direction “for the principal purpose of influencing the election.”

In their sentencing recommendation, prosecutors argued that Cohen deserved a "substantial" prison term of several years, because he had “repeatedly used his power and influence for deceptive ends."

"His offenses strike at several pillars of our society and system of government: the payment of taxes; transparent and fair elections; and truthfulness before government and in business"

Kremlin To Release US-Russia Communications On Election Meddling If Trump Agrees

Russia will declassify all correspondence with the United States regarding election meddling in the 2016 US election if the US agrees to it, according to state owned RT, citing a senior official of the Cyber Threats Response Center.

"We are ready to make public all correspondence if the US side gives its consent to it," said deputy director of the FSB-run CTRC, Nikolai Murashov, in a Tuesday statement to reporters. He added that the files are currently classified.

Washington’s cooperation in probing the Democratic National Committee (DNC) hacking attacks was limited, the official said. Moscow had only received a number of messages “containing technical information about the hack,” Murashov explained.

Russian cyber security experts examined it even before Donald Trump’s inauguration. “An exhaustive response was then sent to the American side.”

Trump reveals he would consider intervening in the case of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou and setting her FREE as part of a broader trade deal to ease rising tensions with China amid national security concerns

President Donald Trump has said he would consider intervening in the case of Huawei CFO Meng Wanzhou if it would benefit international relations and help the US secure a trade deal with China.

Wanzhou was granted a bail of C$10million (US$7.4million) by a Canadian judge on Tuesday evening. She was arrested in Vancouver earlier this month and has been awaiting a hearing on extradition to the US.

After the news of the 46-year-old's release broke, the president indicated that the move - which is expected to placate angry Chinese officials - could be part of a broader trade deal with China.

When asked if he would intervene with the Justice Department in her case, Trump told Reuters: 'Whatever’s good for this country, I would do.

Trump Regime Arming and Training Ukrainian Forces for War. Should Donbass Join Russia?

The Ukraine Freedom Support Act (UFSA) of 2014 authorized US lethal and non-lethal aid to Kiev.

The US and other NATO countries supply its forces with heavy and other weapons, along with training to use them. The only external threats its regime faces are invented one. No real ones exist.

A state of war initiated by Ukraine exists between the US-installed puppet regime and Donbass freedom fighters – breaking away from Kiev over wanting democratic governance, rejecting illegitimate fascist rule.

In April 2014, less than two months after the Obama regime’s coup, replacing democratic governance with Nazi-infested putschists, Ukrainian forces attacked the People’s Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk (DPR and LPR) in Donbass.

US orchestrated war continues intermittently. Washington and Kiev willfully undermined Minsk I and II conflict resolution agreements, wanting war, not peace, near Russia’s border.

U.S. President Donald Trump has nominated U.S. Army General Mark Milley who is currently Chief of the Army to succeed Marine General, Joseph Dunford as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Milley has also served in other deployments in Latin America and the Caribbean including Operation Just Cause in Panama in 1989 under U.S. President George H.W. Bush to oust Panama’s military leader, Manual Noriega and Operation Uphold Democracy in Haiti in 1994 to reinstate ousted Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide after he made assurances to President Bill Clinton to allow Washington and Haiti’s elite to dominate the country politically and economically. GOP Purse Strings Held by Saudi Lobbyist

Last month, Republican members of the House blocked a vote on legislation introduced by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) to end the U.S. role in supporting the Saudi-led war in Yemen. In doing so, House Republicans protected Saudi Arabia from suffering the consequences of growing public concern about the seemingly unconditional U.S. support for Saudi actions. Chief among those actions are the war in Yemen that threatens half the population with famine and the murder and the botched coverup of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.

The House GOP’s decision to go to the mat for the House of Saud might be partially explained by the fact that a longtime lobbyist for Saudi Arabia sits in a position to control a significant portion of the party’s campaign-related spending

How Democracy Is Losing the World

If Donald Trump told Michael Cohen to pay hush money to Stormy Daniels about a one-night stand a decade ago, that, says Jerome Nadler, incoming chair of House Judiciary, would be an “impeachable offense.”

This tells you what social media, cable TV and the great herd of talking heads will be consumed with for the next two years — the peccadillos and misdeeds of Trump, almost all of which occurred before being chosen as president of the United States.

“Everywhere President Trump looks,” writes The Washington Times’ Rowan Scarborough, “there are Democrats targeting him from New York to Washington to Maryland… lawmakers, state attorneys general, opposition researchers, bureaucrats and activist defense lawyers.
“They are aiming at Russia collusion, the Trump Organization, the Trump Foundation, a Trump hotel, Trump tax returns, Trump campaign finances and supposed money laundering.”

A Pentagon Famous for “Losing” $Trillions Makes “Accounting Error” and Refuels Saudi Yemen-Bombing Jets for Free

The Pentagon's "accounting error” regarding the refueling of coalition jets in Yemen is just another swindle in a long line of accounting issues from the poshest military in the world

According to a recent report, the Pentagon failed to charge the Saudi Arabia-United Arab Emirates (UAE) coalition waging war in Yemen for the refueling of planes as well as for the fuel itself. As a result of the inadvertent “giveaway,” which the Pentagon has blamed on an accounting error, U.S. taxpayers are believed to have paid as much as tens of millions of dollars towards the coalition’s bombing campaign in Yemen, which has routinely targeted schools, hospitals, weddings, funerals and even a school bus.

Trump's International Anti-Iran Coalition Looks Like it's Falling Apart

The president upended diplomatic relations based on support from the leaders from Saudi Arabia and Israel. Now our position is rather precarious.

Trump set out to pick a fight with Iran from the early days of his administration. But a set of astonishing developments has pulled the rug out from under his feet, and the next three months will determine whether Trump will opt to escalate his provocations or find a face-saving exit from his bravado.

Only a few months ago, Trump was oozing with confidence, having pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal, worked with the Saudis to squeeze oil exports and announced the reimposition of sanctions to the pleasure of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

As a result, the Iranian currency, the rial, was tanking and a noticeable sense of nervousness permeated Iran. The country had weathered sanctions before, but something felt different this time around.

Trump certainly thought there was: "I know they're having a lot of problems and their economy is collapsing,” he told reporters on July 12. “[A]t a certain point, they're going to call me and they're going to say, 'Let's make a deal'.”

Fast forward five months, though, and all three pillars of Trump’s policy of strangulating Iran are at risk.

Decision to assassinate Arafat approved by Saudis:

A former senior adviser to Yasser Arafat, the late leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), has said that Arafat's death was not natural and he was actually assassinated, with Saudi Arabia approving the decision to assassinate him.

A commander of Iraq's Hashd al-Shaabi (popular forces) revealed that the US forces have established 8 military bases in Western Iraq, near the border with Syria, warning of Washington's plots to gain control over the strategic and oil-rich region.

How Totally Screwed Is Trump? Commentary and Analysis of the Cohen and Manafort Filings

On Friday, federal prosecutors filed sentencing memos for Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort detailing their cooperation in the investigations into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 presidential election and alleged campaign finance crimes by members of the Trump campaign. The three briefs — two for Cohen and one for Manafort — don’t just make recommendations about how much prison time the former Trump insiders should get, but point to new details about what prosecutors know and the ramifications to come.

Trump himself quickly asserted that the new information “totally clears” him of wrongdoing, and added on Saturday that “we’re very happy with what we are reading because there was no collusion whatsoever.”

We don’t know what Trump and his advisers are reading, but here is a running roundup of the most insightful commentary and analysis we’ve read on the memos — from experts and pundits who actually understand them:

Victory is Near: SpyGate is Timed to Blow

It is normal to be anxious about President Trump’s decision to hold back the evidence revealing Obama & Clinton’s illegal attempt, to steal the 2016 Presidential election.

It is, after all, the greatest scandal and crime in American history.

In fact, it’s more fundamental than that. What happened in 2015/16 (and then after President Trump’s inauguration) is such a disgraceful assault on the US Constitution, Republic and citizenry, that a failure to reveal the truth, expose the criminals involved and then punish them, risks the crime being repeated.

Many of us have known the details for some time and want justice. We also know that if the crime is repeated, it’s unlikely America can continue as a functioning Constitutional Republic.

President Donald J Trump knows this, as well. But what else does he know?

That the enemies of the Republic, while weak, still have a say.

The major takeaway from the 40-page sentencing memorandum filed by federal prosecutors Friday for Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal attorney, is this: The president is very likely to be indicted on a charge of violating federal campaign finance laws.

It has been obvious for some time that President Trump is the principal subject of the investigation still being conducted by the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Ayers Declines Chief of Staff Job, Trump Reportedly Considering Mark Meadows

Trump Proclaims "No Collusion!" As Supporters Highlight Inconsistencies In Cohen Testimony

Washington media exploded Friday night following the publication of sentencing memos filed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and prosecutors with the SDNY which called for Cohen to serve a "substantial" prison sentence (NY prosecutors recommended a "slight downward variance" of 42 months), arguing that the attorney's decision to rat on his former boss with his back against the wall wasn't a noble act and didn't excuse his many criminal acts - from bank fraud to violations of campaign finance laws - that were committed with the assumption of impunity, and without the knowledge of the family Cohen has claimed to be trying to protect.

If US Quits INF Treaty, Europe Loses

The statement issued by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization on December 4 regarding the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty following the meeting of the foreign ministers of the alliance in Brussels puts the seal on the US decision to withdraw from the pact.

Washington has successfully rallied its European allies. Armed with NATO solidarity, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo gave Russia a 60-day ultimatum to return to compliance with the Treaty. Pompeo hopes to make Russia the culpable party.

However, quite some time ago, the US had already made up it mind to scrap the treaty. The Congress even made provision in the Pentagon budget for R&D relating to intermediate missiles. But an alibi was needed. In 2002, the US unilaterally withdrew from the ABM Treaty and dealt a body blow to international security without bothering to explain. On the contrary, INF Treaty is vital to European security and an alibi is necessary.

Friends in high places: Michael Cohen was paid more than FOUR MILLION dollars for promising several companies, including AT&T, access to President Trump, prosecutors say

Michael Cohen was paid more than $4 million by several firms for promising access to his former client Donald Trump.

A federal prosecutor told a judge on Friday that former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen should spend between 51 and 63 months in prison for a range of federal crimes including tax evasion and violating campaign finance laws.

Now federal prosecutors provided new details on the extent of former Donald Trump fixer Michael Cohen’s attempts to cash in on his access to President Trump.

They claimed that Cohen extracted more than $4 million from major corporations in return for his supposed insight into White House policy making.

Trump Challenges Macron: EU Army 'Didn't Work Too Well' in WWII

Emmanuel Macron earlier voiced the idea of building a European military so that fellow EU nations could defend themselves from wide-ranging threats. The French leader subsequently came under fire from the White House, which called on him to pay his fair share of NATO membership.

Donald Trump took to Twitter on Saturday to deliver a rebuke to Emmanuel Macron, chastising the French president's ideas of a pan-European army and divisive environmental policies.

Trump scolded Macron for his proposal to create a single European army so that Europe would have a greater military autonomy. The 45th POTUS has repeatedly claimed that many NATO members have not been dishing out enough cash for the alliance's needs.

"The idea of a European Military didn't work out too well in WWI or WWII. But the US was there for you, and always will be. All we ask is that you pay your fair share of NATO," he added.

The Russia Investigation Is About Criminalizing Peace

“For those who long wondered why throughout the presidential campaign Trump could not bring himself to say a critical word about Russian President Vladimir Putin, we now know the answer: Trump was hoping to do business in Russia, and doing so would require the approval of Putin.” – USA Today Opinion

Make no mistake, the mainstream left and state serving-media voices are trying to gaslight an entire generation into believing any candidate that wants peace with Russia may be a foreign conspirator worthy of prison, shame, and family persecution.

Ironically, Trump—who tossed a few rhetorical punches at the Bush Crime Family during the 2016 Republican primaries—has just nominated a man who represented the Bush CIA drug cartel, both within the CIA itself (1973-1977) and later when he served as “Opium Poppy” Bush’s Attorney General.

Cancer as Weapon: Poppy Bush’s Radioactive War on Iraq

If George Bush Sr., Dick Cheney, Colin Powell and Bill Clinton are still casting about for a legacy, there’s a grim one that will stay around for an eternity.

At the close of the first Gulf War, Saddam Hussein was denounced as a ferocious villain for ordering his retreating troops to destroy Kuwaiti oil fields, clotting the air with poisonous clouds of black smoke and saturating the ground with swamps of crude. It was justly called an environmental war crime.

But months of bombing of Iraq by US and British planes and cruise missiles has left behind an even more deadly and insidious legacy: tons of shell casings, bullets and bomb fragments laced with depleted uranium. In all, the US hit Iraqi targets with more than 970 radioactive bombs and missiles.

It took less than a decade for the health consequences from this radioactive bombing campaign to begin to coming into focus.>>>

Trump’s Trade War with China May Have Paved the Way to a Post-G20 World

The ascendence of China and multilateral trading blocks could eventually spell the doom of the G20 and U.S. global dominance as we know it.
***
The sherpas at the G20 lost sleep for two consecutive nights trying to come up with a final declaration capable of appeasing Trump. As virtually every nation at the G20 supports multilateralism on trade, nobody wanted to upset even more the real Big Boss in Buenos Aires: Xi Jinping.

The climax, in any case, was the U.S.-China bilateral – which carried the potential, if things went downhill, to derail the global economy.

The White House spin was on immediate negotiations – lasting 90 days – over forced transfers of U.S. technology to China; intellectual property protection; an array of non-tariff barriers; and alleged Chinese cyber “intrusions”. If there’s no deal, Washington will raise tariffs on Chinese imports to 25 percent.

Tucker Carlson: Tucker Carlson: Trump ‘not capable’ hasn’t kept promises

***
The Swiss are very suspicious of anybody who is boastful. That's why I have a question about Trump…

…I hate that about him. I hate that… it's not my culture. I didn't grow up like that.

In your book you speak a lot about people who attack Trump, but you actually don't say very much about Trump's record.

That's true.

Do you think he has kept his promises? Has he achieved his goals?

No.

He hasn't?

No. His chief promises were that he would build the wall, de-fund planned parenthood, and repeal Obamacare, and he hasn't done any of those things. There are a lot of reasons for that, but since I finished writing the book, I've come to believe that Trump's role is not as a conventional president who promises to get certain things achieved to the Congress and then does. I don't think he's capable. I don't think he's capable of sustained focus. I don't think he understands the system. I don't think the Congress is on his side. I don't think his own agencies support him. He's not going to do that.

I think Trump's role is to begin the conversation about what actually matters. We were not having any conversation about immigration before Trump arrived in Washington. People were bothered about it in different places in the country. It's a huge country, but that was not a staple of political debate at all. Trump asked basic questions like' "Why don't our borders work?" “Why should we sign a trade agreement and let the other side cheat?” Or my favorite of all, "What's the point of NATO?" The point of NATO was to keep the Soviets from invading western Europe but they haven't existed in 27 years, so what is the point? These are obvious questions that no one could answer.

Apart from asking these very important questions has he really achieved nothing?

Not much. Not much. Much less than he should have. I've come to believe he's not capable of it.

ABC correspondents Terry Moran and Devin Dwyer concluded, without evidence, that the Bush funeral represented a rebuke of the current occupant in the White House. Trump: Declassify the Russia-Gate Hoax

The explanation for the kind of soft-power aggression embedded in Washington globe-spanning "sanctions" regime, as we detailed in Part 1, is not national security: It’s simply what Imperial Washington does for a living.

In the same vein, the billions of taxpayer money being pumped through the foreign policy agencies, NGOs, think tanks, advocacy organizations and sleazy lobbying operations like those of the Podesta brothers and Paul Manafort finance there own raison d’être.

Stated differently, the recipients of this fabulous supply of fiscal largesse create their own reason for being in the form of manufactured dangers and fake threats to the security and liberty of the American homeland.

Indeed, when it comes to the Empire’s great beltway beehive of national security operations, you could well paraphrase Stalin’s brutal secret police chief, Lavrenti Beria, who once boasted, "show me the man and I’ll show you the crime".

White House forced to walk back Trump’s victory lap on Chinese trade deal

From "incredible deal" to "Tariff Man"
***
The White House statement from December 1 does not mention any agreement on auto tariffs or anything about Chinese tariffs at all, and is vague on Trump’s claim about farmers: “China has agreed to start purchasing agricultural product from our farmers immediately.”

On Tuesday, Trump walked back his assertion of a deal with China. He issued a series of tweets in which he said Kudlow, Mnuchin, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, and trade adviser Peter Navarro would work with Trade Representative Bob Lighthizer to see “whether or not a REAL deal with China is actually possible.” He said it “probably will” but if it didn’t, “remember, I am a Tariff Man.” He concluded with a spinoff campaign slogan, “MAKE AMERICA RICH AGAIN.”

This reflects a broader misunderstanding the president has displayed on how tariffs work. First, most American automobiles sold in China are built in China already, so the impact of any deal will be small.

His use of tariffs to get his way on the world economic stage often has detrimental impacts on American industries.

For instance, tariffs on imported steel and aluminium might benefit the domestic steel and aluminium industry so that they can hire a few more workers. But this comes with a cost>>>
