The £24bn bonanza: Britain's top banks poised to reveal biggest profits since financial crisis

Figures out this week are tipped to indicate that Lloyds, Barclays, HSBC and RBS made a combined profit of £23.9 billion last year – an astonishing 85 per cent increase on the previous 12 months when the figure was just £12.9 billion.
