Manufacturing sector is shedding jobs; Experts see it changing

This is a puff piece. Yes, the US makes things like gas turbines and war materials, but those are big ticket items where only a few are made and sold at high profit. This is great for the company owners but the actual number of manufacturing jobs is, as this article readily admits, in decline.

You cannot prosper a nation of millions by having a few thousand workers making a few dozen whatevers that sell for a million each to other companies. The real key to allowing Americans to pay down their debts is millions of people making millions of somethings that millions of the rest of the world's people buy and use.
