Alleged Christchurch terror attacker's manifesto banned (Updated)

A manifesto reportedly written by the alleged Christchurch gunman has been officially classified as objectionable - with those who have copies told to destroy them - the Office of Film & Literature Classification has confirmed.

Chief censor David Shanks confirmed the move on Saturday, urging anyone who had copies of it to destroy them.

It is now an offence, with Shanks describing the document as "a crude booklet that promotes murder and terrorism".

"Others have referred to this publication as a 'manifesto', but I consider it a crude booklet that promotes murder and terrorism. It is objectionable under New Zealand law," said Shanks.

It's on the networks.

The writer references a population growth chart on Wikipedia, (a big terrorist site!) and says things like that the first event that started to radicalize him was the terror attack in Stockholm, on April 7 2017 when 11 year old Ebba Akerlund was killed.

More from his 74 page opus: He estimates that he will be released in 27 years like Mandela, and he also expects an eventual Nobel Peace prize. (Doesn't that require killing people with drones only?). Other quotes: "Kill your local drug dealer", "Cheap labor is slave labor, refuse to import modern slaves", "Taxation is theft", "I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces."
