I've never a had a problem with AMD...
Tian Shan(no compensation from AMD).
I've built at least over a dozen machines over the years. Only one CPU was Intel. There was no difference in performance.
The performance difference, in my experience, is the (bus) speed of the mother board and memory, and OS. I'll categorically state that using Linux has proven to show stellar performance in speed and stability over Windows.
Btw: I've tried over a dozen Linux distros over the past 10 years, and that goes for Slackware and Mint. I finally settled on the Linux MX (Debian series) thanks to a recommendation from a devoted WRH member.
