Freedom of Speech to be Denied by Attorney General Loretta Lynch

Well, here it comes: criminal prosecution for denying there is “climate change” all because this will be the next great tax to match Obamacare. Forget freedom of speech, that is following the 4th and 5th Amendments down the drain. We are heading into that dark, deep hole of authoritarian regimes.

I have friends who fled here from Eastern Europe and Russia. The one comment they make often is that everything they ran away from is happening right here. They see it, for that is what they fled. We tend to ignore everything until it is just too late.

Use of Fear to Silence Climate Skeptics Is An Assault On Reason

Even the threat by US Attorney General (AG) Loretta Lynch that the FBI are going to examine the role of climate skeptics for charges under the RICO is deeply disturbing. It is the practice of leaders who hold a singular political view from either extreme to isolate and threaten. Totalitarianism occurs on the left and the right.

While Lynch was threatening skeptics, President Obama held a press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at which they announced total agreement on the need to fight climate change. Both present themselves as leaders who only have the people and the planet at heart, but consider the actions of what Trudeau’s father Pierre did when his belief in centralized government was challenged.

Why Young Americans Are Suing Obama Over Climate Change

The suit was filed last summer by 21 young Americans between the ages of 8 and 19, and climate scientist Dr. James Hansen, who have taken to the courts to legally force the administration to enact a bold, science-based climate plan. In withering detail, the complaint lays out how the government has known since the 1960s that carbon pollution from burning fossil fuels directly contributes to global warming and a destabilized atmosphere, and yet continues to aggressively promote and subsidize fossil fuel extraction.

'Six killed' in Italian Alps avalanche: sources

Six climbers were killed in an Alpine avalanche Saturday that struck a group of a dozen people in the area of Monte Nevoso, close to Italy's border with Austria, rescuers said.

"Rescue operations are ongoing. The assessment is incomplete," said Italy's alpine rescue service, according to the AGI news agency.

Several other climbers were injured in the incident, the source added.

A huge flow of snow engulfed the group who were close to the top of Monte Nevoso, also known as the Schneebiger Nock, in the late morning

The Climate Change Religion

The alarmism surrounding supposed "climate change" continues to reach ever higher levels of desperation. The propaganda runs 24 hrs a day and has crept into all aspects of media, crony corporate America, and (of course) government "schools".

The arguments go from ridiculous to hysterical. We're told by many politicians that "climate change" is the #1 threat to Americans. This is of course a favorite of the swindling class. Others tell us that the #1 threat is ISIS, and some are now saying that it's Donald Trump. Some say it's North Korea, Russia, or Iran. The carousel of #1 threats is always in motion.

In the media you'll find stories that free birth control is needed in order to battle climate change, and that climate change will turn women into prostitutes. Non-believers of this ridiculous propaganda are branded as "deniers".

Oh, and never forget that "the science is settled"!

Aliens Cause Global Warming - Michael Crichton

We can take as an example the scientific reception accorded a Danish statistician, Bjorn Lomborg, who wrote a book called The Skeptical Environmentalist. The scientific community responded in a way that can only be described as disgraceful. In professional literature, it was complained he had no standing because he was not an earth scientist. His publisher, Cambridge University Press, was attacked with cries that the editor should be fired, and that all right-thinking scientists should shun the press. The past president of the AAAS wondered aloud how Cambridge could have ever "published a book that so clearly could never have passed peer review." )But of course the manuscript did pass peer review by three earth scientists on both sides of the Atlantic, and all recommended publication.) But what are scientists doing attacking a press? Is this the new McCarthyism-coming from scientists?

Heat From Deep Ocean Fault Punches Hole in Arctic Ice Sheet

As winter begins to settle in across the Arctic Ocean and sea ice extent rapidly expands, a very interesting high temperature and low salinity hole has just been punched in the sea ice at a very telling location: directly above the deep ocean Gakkel Ridge Rift / Fault System (Figures 1, 2, and 3).

This world class plate tectonic pull-apart rift is a 1,000-mile-long fault system on the seafloor that has in recent past pulsed massive amounts of heat into the overlying ocean and thereby melting large portions of the ice that floats above the heated ocean column.

So what if anything is to be learned from the recent October 12 geologically induced deep-ocean floor heat pulse that punched a small hole in the Arctic sea ice? Many things, most of which have surprisingly large implications concerning the entire climate change discussion.

Get Chilly: Record Low Temperatures Rock the New England Area

Though snow has not been the focus this Valentine’s Day, Boston broke its record for the coldest Feb. 14 with temperatures of minus 9 degrees Fahrenheit at 7:31 a.m., and a windchill of minus 36 degrees, according to The Boston Globe. 150,000 penguins die after iceberg smashes into their breeding grounds in Antarctica amid fears entire colony could be wiped out

Some 150,000 penguins have died after a massive iceberg grounded near their colony in Antarctica, forcing them to make a lengthy trek to find food, a study has revealed.

The B09B iceberg, measuring 38.6 square miles, grounded in Commonwealth Bay in East Antarctica in December 2010.

The Adelie penguin population at the bay's Cape Denison was measured to be about 160,000 in February 2011 but by December 2013 it had plunged to an estimated 10,000, they said.

The iceberg's grounding meant the penguins had to walk more than 37 miles to find food, impeding their breeding attempts, the researchers wrote in the Antarctic Science journal.

Notes on the Topic of Global Warming

Although it is important to have at least some knowledge of this topic for the IELTS test because it is a commonly used topic, it does not matter what you believe to be true – you can still get a good score in the test no matter what you believe. I have gone into some detail on this topic simply because I personally feel strongly about it.

IELTS students should understand that the English in these three pages of notes is at quite an advanced level. If you don't understand the English very well, use a translation service such as http://translate.google.cn/?hl=en#en|zh-CN| to help you read these pages. What Scalia’s Death Means For Climate Change

“If the late Justice Scalia is replaced by an Obama appointee this year, or a Clinton or Sanders appointee after January 20th, the implications will be profound,” Stavins said. “An obvious example is the litigation regarding the Clean Power Plan.”

It won’t be clear for many years yet what effect the Paris Agreement will have on global warming.

But Scalia’s passing means the pact seems safer now than was the case just several days ago.

Penguin colony faces annihilation as huge iceberg blocks sea

A colony of Adélie penguins faces extinction after a colossal iceberg collided with their home - preventing them from feeding in the sea.

The iceberg, called B09B, which is the size of a small country and hit the area of Commonwealth Bay they inhabit in the Antarctic in 2011.

...

The study noted: "A colony on the east cost of the on the eastern fringe of Commonwealth Bay, just 8km, from the fast ice edge was thriving, indicating the arrival of B09B and fast ice expansion."

The team observed the effects of the iceberg and found it had caused sea ice to expand by up to 60 kilometers, meaning the penguin colony now have to travel almost 120 kilometers to get to the ice edge to feed in the sea.

Unreliable Power: Major Technical Failure Sidelines Another Offshore Wind Park…Adding To Exploding Costs

According to NDR, the power supply has been interrupted due to a failed underwater power transmission cable that serves to deliver the power onshore. That means a loss of 7 million euros per month in revenue, which the consumers will have to pay because Germany’s feed-in act required power companies to pay for the electricity produced by wind parks even if it is never delivered. If that sounds strange, it is so because the market-hostile law is the sort of thing one would find only in old communist regimes.

Scientist Ruthlessly Debunks One Of NOAA’s Central Climate Claims

In face of intense criticism from alarmist scientists, Dr. John Christy went to great lengths in a Tuesday congressional hearing to detail why satellite-derived temperatures are much more reliable indicators of warming than surface thermometers.

“That’s where the real mass of the climate system exists in terms of the atmosphere,” Christy, a climate scientist at the University of Alabama and Alabama’s state climatologist, said in a Wednesday hearing before the House science committee.

“When a theory contradicts the facts” you need to change the theory, Christy said. “The real world is not going along with rapid warming. The models need to go back to the drawing board.”

CLIMATEGATE: A CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY (UPDATED FOR WINTER 2015-2016)

"One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We're no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It's simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we've been taken.
