Mr Michel has being trying to put together a working majority in parliament since the right-wing nationalist New Flemish Alliance (NVA) walked out nine days ago.

Stossel: Does Silicon Valley Manipulate Users?

Leaked emails show some Google engineers blaming their company for Trump's 2016 win, suggesting that the site should censor outlets like The Daily Caller and Breitbart.

Google says the company never did that, but for many people, it raises the question: could Google executives flip an election?

"Google's senior management was heavily in favor of Hillary Clinton," The Creepy Line writer Peter Schweizer tells John Stossel. "Their ability to manipulate the algorithm is something that they've demonstrated the ability to do in the past...and the evidence from academics who monitored 2016 was clearly that they did."

Mike Flynn & The Deep State's Fatal Over-Reach

Last Friday morning, we adjourned the blog in anticipation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller handing over certain FBI documents in the General Flynn matter demanded by DC District Federal Judge Emmett G. Sullivan no later than 3:00 p.m. that day. Guess what. Mr. Mueller’s errand boys did not hand over the required documents - original FBI 302 interrogation reports. Instead, they proffered a half-assed “interview” with one of the two agents who conducted the Flynn interrogation, Peter Strzok, attempting to recollect the 302 half a year after it was written. Of course, Mr. Strzok was notoriously fired from the Bureau in August for bouts of wild political fury on-the-job as FBI counter-intel chief during and after the 2016 election. (This was the second time he was fired; the first was when Robert Mueller discarded him from the SC team in 2017 as a legal liability.)

"Outraged" Trump Claims 19,000 Missing Strzok Texts Would Have Exposed Mueller Probe "Hoax"

Mere hours before his former National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, is expected to be sentenced for lying to the FBI (and hours after Robert Mueller finally released a heavily redacted sentencing memo), an angry President Trump once again lashed out at the FBI on twitter over former Agent Peter Strzok and his former "FBI lover" Lisa Page, who deleted some 19,000 texts exchanged on their company phones that should have been collected during a Congressional investigation into the presence and influence of anti-Trump bias inside the bureau.

Trump raged that the "biggest outrage yet" in the "long, winding and highly conflicted" Mueller 'Witch Hunt' was the fact that some 19,000 text messages between Strzok and Page were "purposely & illegally deleted." Trump believes those messages, if recovered, would have explained the whole "hoax."

Judge Apologizes For Suggesting Flynn Is A Traitor, Delays Sentencing

After what was by all accounts a contentious hearing, the sentencing has been postponed to give Flynn more time to cooperate. After the judge 'hinted' that prosecutors might have considered charging Flynn with treason, Flynn agreed to take more time to offer more 'cooperation' with authorities.

Sullivan apparently regrets suggesting that Flynn committed treason, telling Flynn and his lawyers not to "read too much" into his questions.

"I was just trying to determine the benefit and the generosity of the government," Sullivan said. "Don't read too much into the questions I ask." Prosecutor Brandon Van Grack said Mueller's team has "no concern" or no reason to think Flynn committed treason.

Graham Presses IG For Additional Details On 'Insurance Policy' Meeting Between FBI Agents Strzok, Page And 'Andy'

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) continued to press the Inspector General (IG) of the Department of Justice (DOJ) Michael Horowitz for additional information about the August 15, 2016, meeting between three individuals in the office of the former Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe. According to released text messages, FBI agents Peter Strzok, the effective head of the Clinton email investigation and Lisa Page were in attendance, along with a third individual identified only as “Andy”.

In a letter to the IG, Graham wrote, “Based on your answers, I have the impression Strzok told your office that McCabe, in fact, attended the meeting referenced in the text message. It is further my understanding that McCabe told your office he denied attending, or did not recall, the meeting referenced in the text message.”

Michael Flynn Is Owed an Apology

Remember when Michael Flynn was a traitor? It was early 2017. Democrats were still stinging from their defeat at the hands of Donald Trump. Every day, it seemed, brought news of another contact between Trumpworld and Russia.

Flynn, a retired three-star general, was forced to resign after serving less than a month as Trump’s national security adviser. He was said to have colluded with Russians during the presidential transition. For this he was defamed as a Russian agent and mocked as a bumbling Benedict Arnold. Former officials of Barack Obama’s administration hinted that Flynn had been compromised.

As it turns out, none of this was true.

Oversight panel hearing on Clinton Foundation blows up

A congressional hearing on the Clinton Foundation turned into a fiasco on Thursday after Republicans clashed with their own witnesses — two private investigators who refused to turn over documents that they claimed showed evidence of criminal wrongdoing at the Clinton Foundation.

John Moynihan and Larry Doyle, financial analysts who say they have uncovered evidence of pay-to-play and financial crimes at the Clinton Foundation, were invited to testify on their findings by the House Oversight Committee’s Republican Chairman Mark Meadows.

But tensions erupted between Meadows and the two witnesses after Moynihan and Doyle refused to turn over 6,000 pages of documents that they say back up their claims — documents that the pair has already given to the FBI and the IRS.

Clinton Foundation’s revenue hit 15-year low after 2016 presidential election

The Clinton Foundation’s incoming cash flow nosedived to a 15-year low in 2017, the year after Hillary Clinton’s unsuccessful run in the 2016 presidential election resulted in the election of President Donald Trump, according to tax returns obtained by the Center for Responsive Politics.

The Clinton Foundation reported total revenue of $38.4 million for 2017, the fewest dollars the foundation has taken over the course of a fiscal year in more than a decade — and a sharp decline from the $249 million raised during Clinton’s first year as secretary of state.

Anti-Trump dossier author was hired to help Hillary challenge 2016 election results

British ex-spy Christopher Steele, who wrote the Democrat-financed anti-Trump dossier, said in a court case that he was hired by a Democratic law firm in preparation for Hillary Clinton challenging the results of the 2016 presidential election.

He said the law firm Perkins Coie wanted to be in a position to contest the results based on evidence he unearthed on the Trump campaign conspiring with Moscow on election interference.

His scenario is contained in a sealed Aug. 2 declaration in a defamation law suit brought by three Russian bankers in London. The trio’s American attorneys filed his answers Tuesday in a libel lawsuit in Washington against the investigative firm Fusion GPS, which handled the former British intelligence officer.

‘Unregistered foreign agent’: Clinton Foundation oversight panel hears explosive testimony

Fraud investigators have exposed the Clinton Foundation’s alleged misdeeds in a Congressional hearing, describing it as a de facto “foreign agent” devoted not to charity but to “advancing the personal interests of its principals.”
The Clinton Foundation acted as an agent of foreign governments “early in its life and throughout its existence,” according to testimony by former government forensic investigator John Moynihan, which, if true, would not only render it in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act but also would violate its nonprofit charter, putting it on the hook for a massive quantity of unpaid taxes.

The foundation began acting as an agent of foreign governments early in its life and continued doing so throughout its existence, as such, the foundation should have registered under FARA.

Why Banks Have Become Judge, Jury & Prosecutor and will Shut you Down Judged Guilty for Nothing That is Actually Illegal

Effectively, your bank reserves the right to shut your account at any time, for any reason. They are doing so because they are fined if you do something. The primetime BBC 'comedy' that's like a party political broadcast for Jeremy Corbyn: CHARLOTTE GILL is appalled by the Corporation's Tory-bashing satire

Is there anything less funny than BBC comedy? It pledges to be ‘inclusive’ and it promises to ‘reflect a range of views’.

Yet the humour could hardly be more biased if it tried – as Andrew Neil, one of its own political presenters, put it recently: ‘When it comes to so-called comedy, the BBC has long given up on balance.’ He wrote: ‘Nobody seems to care.’

Well, I care and, having spent the last month tuning in both to its radio and television output, I can confirm he is right. Far from reflecting a range of views, the Corporation’s Tory-bashing satire is one-eyed from start to finish.

The situation is excruciating, in fact – bad for listeners and bad for licence payers, who are forced to pay for puerile Left-wing propaganda that masquerades as humour.

FBI Memo Implies Dossier on Trump Russian Collusion Funded by Clinton

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released a two-page summary the agency used to brief Obama and Trump on the so-called Russian Dossier.

On Friday, the FBI declassified a part of a memo it used to brief then-US President Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump on the so-called Russian dossier compiled by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele — the very dossier that put forward the notorious "golden shower" allegations against Trump. The memo has been declassified in response to a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by a Politico reporter.

The interesting part is that the memo excerpt remains vague as to who paid for the dossier, saying it was sponsored by "private clients." The Republicans and Trump himself have repeatedly bashed the agency for obfuscating the fact that the dossier was paid for by Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee, according to Politico's report.

Chris Matthews Predicts Trump Could Resign ‘In The Coming Weeks’

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews said Monday that President Donald Trump could resign as part of a deal with special counsel Robert Mueller.

Matthews said Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump could be the “next dominoes to fall” in the investigation and could face prosecution and possible prison time.

Then, he speculated:

“But what if the prosecutor were to offer the president an alternative. What if he were to say he would let the children walk if the old man does the same? That would mean giving up the presidency in exchange for acquittals all around ? not just for himself, but for all his kids.”

He said Trump may have to take a page out of the book of former Vice President Spiro Agnew, who resigned in 1973 as part of a deal with prosecutors to avoid prison time in a tax evasion case.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Spiro Agnew was targeted to get him out of the Vice Presidency so that Nixon could get Gerald Ford in. The reason was simple. Nixon needed to protect the links from Watergate to the JFK assassination and he knew he could count on Ford, a member of the Warren Commission, to keep those secrets after Nixon resigned.

Ex-foreign minister evaluates global risks for 2019

The coming year could be destructive for the existing system of international relations, President of the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and former Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov wrote in his article published by Kommersant. "We can completely destroy the old international system without starting to build a new one," he warned. According to Ivanov, the US administration will be the biggest international problem in 2019, just like in 2018. "Everything seems to suggest that, while pursuing its goals, the United States does not bother to take into account either international law or multilateral institutions. It unilaterally withdraws from crucial agreements, trying to impose its one-sided decisions on other countries and organizations. In 2018, the White House did not hesitate to put pressure on its partners and rivals.

Goldman Sachs hit with criminal charges, faces US$2.7b fine

Malaysia is demanding Goldman Sachs Group Inc. bear the brunt of the 1MDB scandal, opening up another legal front for the Wall Street firm over its role raising money for the investment fund.

The country filed the first criminal charges against the US bank in the global corruption probe on Monday, after publicly urging Goldman to come to the negotiating table or face litigation.

The firm already is in the thick of investigations by US prosecutors and regulators over Goldman's conduct in the controversy.

Malaysian authorities allege that Goldman misled investors when the bank knew that proceeds from 1MDB bond sales it arranged would be misappropriated.

The government is seeking fines in excess of both the US$2.7 billion ($3.9b) of allegedly misused funds and the US$600 million in fees received by Goldman on the deals. Goldman has blamed rogue employees for any wrongdoing in relation to 1MDB, a state-owned investment fund.

Poll Shows Democrats Prefer Michelle Obama and Oprah to Hillary

A new poll of Iowa Democrats shows they have little appetite for another Hillary Clinton presidential run, preferring to see Michelle Obama or even Oprah Winfrey run.

The poll, conducted in conjunction with the Des Moines Register, CNN, and Mediacom, presents four individuals to the prospective voter and asks if that person would add or detract from the 2020 presidential race.

The results were a remarkable statement on the two-time presidential failure.

While 76 percent thought Michelle Obama would add to the race, and 40 percent thought Oprah would be a good addition, just 25 percent felt the same about Hillary. Only Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz fared worse, a mere 17 percent thinking he’d uplift the race. It should be noted he had the most ‘unsure’ votes, however.
