Lindsey Graham's war lie: Bigger than Richard Blumenthal's

Long before he was the Senate's most powerful sometimes-moderate who won't support the climate bill he helped draft because of personal pique, Lindsey Graham was just another politician who repeatedly lied about fighting in a war overseas.

According to his (current) official bio, "Graham logged six-and-a-half years of service on active duty as an Air Force lawyer." After he left the active duty force, he joined the South Carolina Air National Guard. During the first Gulf War, Graham was called up to act as staff judge advocate at McEntire Air National Guard Base in South Carolina. As staff judge advocate, Graham's duties "included briefing pilots on the law of armed conflict, preparing legal documents for deploying troops, and providing legal services for family members of the South Carolina Air National Guard. " His service never took him out of South Carolina.

Lindsey Graham’s Curious Military Career

By all accounts, including his own, Senator Lindsey Graham was a good military lawyer during the six and a half years he spent on active duty in the Air Force before he entered politics.

Since leaving active duty in 1989 and joining the Air Force Reserve, Mr. Graham, a Republican from South Carolina who is running for president, appears to have performed very little substantive work for the Air Force. Yet, he rose in rank to colonel and remained in the service until his retirement in June, which entitles him to a monthly $2,773 pension.

An article by Craig Whitlock of The Washington Post shows that though Mr. Graham did very little in the reserve, it was a mutually beneficial arrangement: He was able to keep the honor of the uniform intertwined with his political life and the Air Force got to keep a lawmaker in its ranks who had stature and sway on Capitol Hill. Mr. Graham, a conservative hawk, sits on the Senate appropriations, armed services, budget and judiciary committees.

Denver May Become 8th US City To Take Cops Out Of Mental Health 911 Calls

By John Vibes

Even the most simple police encounters can be very stressful, which often makes it difficult to communicate properly. This tends to escalate the situation, considering that most police demand nothing short of complete obedience, even if they are dealing with someone who is not a suspect in a crime.

This can be scary for most people, but for someone who suffers from a mental illness and may already have challenges with communication, these types of encounters can be especially terrifying...

Gov. Newsom’s Executive Order Authorizing Theft of Voter-Approved Gas Tax Money

Through an Executive Order, California Governor Gavin Newsom has redirected gas tax money to fund railway systems and other projects. The gas tax revenue would have repaired and upgraded the state’s broken highways and roads.

Californians pay the highest gas prices in the nation, most of which is taxes.

Of vital concern, Newsom’s latest road plan for California eliminates two important highway expansion projects on vital freight corridors in Central California.

Governor Newsom signed Executive Order N-19-19 September 20, directing the already controversial gas tax money away from fixing local highways in favor of rail projects.

Global Crisis Looms as IMF Report Cites Its Own Policy as Dangerous

By Graham Smith

In a new report by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) entitled “Global Financial Stability Report: Lower for Longer,” the group gives an overview of the current debt-ridden and precarious state of affairs in global economics. Not lost on some economists, however, is the irony that these modern realities are the direct result of policies historically supported by the IMF itself...

The Cult of Feminism & Its Fabrication of History

The majority of women pre-feminism were in loving relationships where they were taken care of by men who worked very hard. These men were vetted rigorously by the young woman’s mother and father to ensure he was of noble character and worldly means. Their fathers were not spousally raping their mothers on a whim and nor were they selling off their daughters to the nearest salacious man for a goat and three oxen. Women were not the sex objects they have become today: the sluts of marketing, the prostitutes of job promotion and the eager cum buckets of wealthy male harems. Instead they were respectable people: mothers, wives and supportive members of their local community.

Russian naval ship heads to Syrian waters for new deployment

A nice reminder to Greece as to how Russia has had their back against Turkey and a slap in Erdogan's face.

The Black Sea Fleet’s patrol ship Vasily Bykov is passing through the Bosporus and Dardanelles Straits in its long-distance deployment to the Mediterranean Sea, the Fleet’s press office reported on Wednesday.

During its visit, the Russian ship’s crew will take part in the festivities devoted to the 192nd anniversary of the Naval Battle of Navarino. The united squadrons of Russia, Britain and France fought the Ottoman fleet in the Navarino Bay (now Pylos) on October 20, 1827. The allied forces’ victory in the naval battle played a decisive role in the rise of the Greek people’s national struggle for its independence.

Report: Adam Schiff Pressured Diplomat to Back ‘Whistleblower’ Narrative in Impeachment Testimony

Rep. The effort failed.

Elijah Cummings Signed Subpoenas From His Death Bed – But Signatures on Two Subpoenas Don’t Match

It was revealed Thursday morning that longtime Democrat Congressman Elijah Cummings (MD) died at the age of 68 on Wednesday.

Cummings was the Chairman of the very powerful House Oversight Committee and he was pumping out subpoenas while he was in hospice.

In fact, it was revealed that he signed subpoenas from his death bed just hours before he died.

Or did he?

The signatures on Cummings’s October 16 subpoenas look completely different from a September 30 subpoena so people are asking who really signed the documents.

‘Fun Times In Beijing’: Hunter Biden Received $700,000 From Company That Held Stake In His Chinese Business Interest

Hunter Biden received over $700,000 from a New York-based capital management company that held equity in a Chinese investment firm with close ties to the Bank of China, a Daily Caller News Foundation review of Hunter Biden’s Chinese, Ukrainian and American business dealings has found.

And despite the deluge of media reports saying Hunter Biden received $50,000 a month for his work on the board of the Ukranian natural gas company Burisma Holdings, the records tell a much different story.

Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden, did not receive any compensation directly from Burisma, according to available records. The oft-cited $50,000 a month figure is actually based on payments he received from a New York-based company called Rosemont Seneca Bohai, which was owned and controlled by his longtime business partner, Devon Archer.

It was all planned': Arrest at courthouse leads to confrontation

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — An Oklahoma man who was attempting to attend the Oklahoma County Budget meeting Thursday left in handcuffs instead.

Ray Adam Modisette went to the courthouse with a group of people. They told FOX 25 he was hoping to talk to officials at the meeting about the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s response and actions surrounding the Sheriff’s Office relationship with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“I’m here for a budget board meeting so I can talk to the county about Sheriff P.D. Taylor releasing an illegal immigrant rapist into our community,” Modisette said during his arrest.

Democrats Storm Out Of Syria Meeting After Getting Into Shouting Match With Trump Over Whether A Hot Dog Is A Sandwich

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Democrats House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer all stormed out of the meeting on Syria with President Donald Trump, each side accusing the other of being “unhinged.” Apparently, the meeting broke down when Trump suggested they all order lunch and get “sandwiches.” When asked what type of sandwich he wanted, Trump suggested “hot dogs.”

Proposed Federal Vaping Ban Is Bigger Than Vaping

By John Michaels

The Trump administration is aggressively pushing an unconstitutional ban on all flavored vape products after reports that over 1,000 people have become ill and roughly two-dozen people have died, supposedly from “vaping.”

Vaping has been called an “epidemic” even though vaping has been around for over 10 years with no prior reports of anything like this ever happening. In contrast, if we examine the number of lung cancer deaths from smoking cigarettes between 2005 and 2010 we see that over 130,000 people have died from this life choice...

Property Rights Are What Separate Humans from the Animal Kingdom

By Gary M. Galles

As someone who has studied public policy for decades, I have frequently been struck by how many people are so committed to their favorite ism or “answer” on an issue that they will ignore powerful contradictory analysis and evidence that is only a couple easy keystrokes away, or even when it is right in front of them.

A good example of this willful ignorance is the frequency with which opponents of capitalism reiterate dog-eat-dog, “survival of the fittest,” and jungle as descriptors when they open their cornucopia of calumny...

US & Russia work together to end conflict in Syria

The Duran’s Alex Christoforou and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Mercouris examine how the Russian and US military appear to be coordinating their moves in Syria so as to prevent Turkey from moving further into Northern Syria, while using diplomacy to bring the Kurds into the framework of a united Syria.

According to AMN (https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/...), Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) Mark Milley and Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov held a phone conversation on Monday to discuss the situation in Syria, the JCS press service said.

“The two military leaders exchanged their views on issues of mutual concern in Syria,” the JCS said in a statement. “The two leaders have agreed to keep the specific details of their conversation secret.”

The Russian Defense Ministry issued a similar statement earlier in the day, providing no details as well.

Donald Trump, Alone Against All

Alone, against his opposition, against his administration and against his allies, President Trump does not seem to be able to fulfil his campaign commitments. Three years after his election, the House of Representatives launched an impeachment procedure against him because he is fighting against the corruption of the Clinton clan.

Donald Trump’s main campaign commitment to end the offensive Rumsfeld/Cebrowski military strategy and replace it with a policy of Jacksonian cooperation is met with strong internal US and external opposition from US allies. More than ever, the President appears alone, absolutely alone, in the face of the transatlantic political class.

As soon as he was elected and even before the transfer of power in 2017, Donald Trump was presented as a manic-depressive narcissist, a weak and authoritarian personality, a crypto-fascist. As soon as he joined the White House, the press called for his physical murder

EFF on Why Fiber-to-the-Home is “Vastly Superior” to Cable and 5G, and How Greed Is Dictating That Americans Don’t Get It

By B.N. Frank

Although Fiber Optics with a wired internet connection has been touted by some as being completely safe, there are Americans still experiencing adverse health effects after it has been installed in their homes and neighborhoods. A wired internet connection using a copper landline still seems to be the biologically safest option; however, this isn’t available everywhere anymore.

Fiber-to-the-Home WITHOUT small cells attached is definitely a safer option to fiber with small cells attached. However, this option is more expensive for telecoms to provide so they don’t want to do it. Unfortunately, the embarrassingly corrupt FCC along with many American elected officials are still catering to the Telecoms despite increasing 5G lawsuits, opposition and warnings.

Thanks to EFF for acknowledging that it doesn’t have to be this way...

Ethics Complaint Filed Against Rep Adam Schiff For Trying to Obtain Naked Photos of Trump

A Republican challenging Rep. Adam Schiff for his House seat has filed an ethics complaint against the lawmaker over a phone call in which he was caught on tape trying to secure naked photos of President Trump.

Schiff Not Worried About Impeachment Probe Hurting Vulnerable Dems: ‘Let the Chips Fall Where They May’

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) indicated this week that he is not concerned about the impeachment effort hindering the re-election chances of vulnerable Democrats.

“Let the chips fall where they may,” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Schiff declared, seemingly throwing some of his Democrat colleagues under the bus.

Schiff’s comments came during an interview Monday at the 92nd Street Y in New York City, moderated by New York Times reporter Nicholas Kristof.

The moderator noted that former Rep. James Rogan (R-CA) lost his congressional seat to Schiff in 2000 after voting in favor of impeaching President Bill Clinton.

How The Win-Win-Win-Win Plan For Syria's Northeast Succeeds

The Syrian and Russian operations in the northeast of Syria are going well.

Russian troops prevented attempts by Turkish supported Jihadis to attack Manbij. Russian and Syrian units now also entered Ayn al-Arab/Kobani. Syrian government troops took control of the electricity producing dam in Tabqah and some units set up posts in Raqqa. Other units entered the Conoco and Al-Umar oil fields north of Abu Kahmal and east of Deir Ezzor. Some local tribe which profited from the oil explorations there held a small protest against the return of government control.

The Russian air force in Syria is preventing the use of the Turkish air-force in support of the Turkish attacks. Yesterday a Turkish F-16 entered Syrian air space but retreated when some Russian fighters appeared to hunt for it.

The Russian Masterpiece in Syria: Everyone Wins

Putin is a genius!

Russia’s operation was complicated and required a lot of patience; but thanks to negotiations supervised by Russia, together with the bravery and courage of Syrian soldiers, almost all of the terrorist pockets scattered around Syria have been progressively overcome.

Erdogan currently finds himself boxed in, squeezed in by a collapsing economy, threatened by his allies (the purchase of the Russian S-400 system irritated many in Washington and in NATO): he desperately needs to present some kind of victory to his base.

With Trump, he is desperate to shift attention away from the impeachment proceedings (a hoax), and similarly needs to present some kind of victory to his base.

Erdogan and Trump have also solved the embarrassing internal conflict within NATO between Turkey and the US, probably reestablishing personal relationships (the tough talk from the White House notwithstanding).

N.Y. closes 'double jeopardy' loophole, can charge pardoned offenders

Really doesn't change anything. Under dual sovereignty a state could charge someone with the same crime the President pardoned them for on the federal level and vice versa and it wouldn't be double jeopardy. This is redundant and a swipe at Trump.

Oct. 16 (UPI) -- New York lawmakers and Gov. Andrew Cuomo have approved a new law that allows prosecutors to charge residents with crimes on the state level, even if they have received a presidential pardon.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -

Trump had the letter released to bolster his view that he did not give Turkey a green light to invade Syria. Many lawmakers have been sharply critical of his decision to remove American forces from the conflict zone.

“I have worked hard to solve some of your problems. Don’t let the world down. You can make a great deal,” said Trump in the letter.

He said he had confidentially enclosed to Erdogan a copy of a letter Mazloum had sent him.

John Bolton – Hero of the Resistance or Traitor?

This farce of an impeachment/coup,didn't get going until afyer Trump refused to attack Iran over the drone shootdown. Israeli/Neocon fingerprints all over this!

John Bolton’s part of the story to impeach Trump has reached the end of the first act. The finale will be a doozy… for someone.

A report from the New York Times this morning on Fiona Hill’s testimony before Adam Schiff’s (D – Deep State) kangaroo court casts Bolton as the hero working against Trump’s obvious animus towards his political opponents.

Hill is Trump’s former adviser on Russia, a supremely connected Swamp dweller and Clintonista.

Like Bolton, Hill is someone that should have never been anywhere near President Trump’s cabinet. They were both inserted to ensure that the flow of information to him was kept devoid of anything that would damage pre-existing policies, like fomenting a coup in Ukraine or atomizing Syria or getting to the bottom of the conspiracy to remove Trump from power.

A prank call by Russian deejays fished in Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., but a Republican challenging him for his House seat doesn't think the call, in which Schiff expressed eagerness to get "compromising material" on President Trump, is a laughing matter.

The Syrian Debacle Is Actually Well Planned Chaos

Op-Ed by Brandon Smith

For many years now I have focused a considerable amount of analysis on the subject of Syria, with an emphasis on the country’s importance to the global elites as a kind of geopolitical detonator; the first domino in a chain of dominoes that could lead to a war involving international powers. I believe this war will develop on multiple fronts, most importantly on the economic front, but it could very well turn into a shooting war involving numerous actors.

Syria is so important, in fact, that the establishment has been careful to smother all discussion about what is really going on there in a fog of propaganda. And make no mistake, BOTH Republicans and Democrats as well as Eastern and Western governments are participating in the lies and misdirection. Obviously, the first and most important lie is a multi-sided one, and we can’t continue forward until it’s dissected – I am speaking of the lie of US involvement in the region...
