Clinton Lied About Subpoenas In CNN Interview

Of course, because this is Hillary Clinton we’re talking about, she couldn’t get through even the softest of softball interviews without lying.

“Well, let’s start from the beginning, everything I did was permitted,” Clinton insisted. “There was no law, no regulation, there was nothing that did not give me the full authority to decide how I was going to communicate.”

Perhaps you’ve heard of little things called the Freedom of Information Act and Federal Records Acts? Apparently Hillary Clinton hasn’t. She’s also evidently suffered a convenient attack of amnesia concerning the Obama Administration’s policies about the proper treatment of official correspondence – which is funny, because she was running the show when one of her employees got in hot water for doing the exact same thing. You’d think Keilar would have brought that up, since her network reported on it, but she apparently wasn’t interested in asking Clinton any follow-up questions or pressing her on incorrect statements.

Same old, same old - Bernie Sanders gives US party line when confronted at town hall in Vermont

At a "town hall" meeting in Cabot, Vermont, an angry & defensive Bernie Sanders defends Israel's shameful bombings of Gaza. He then tries to distract and deflect from answer the question by stating that Gaza isn't the only problem in the Middle East, asking the audience if they have heard of ISIS. He later called State Police on six protestors, and clearly has a "me and all the rest of you" attitude that folks outside of VT rarely see.

Hillary Clinton: “People Should and Do Trust Me”

Below are the highlights pieced together from what has been publicized as the first exclusive one-on-one sit-down interview with Hillary since she announced her presidential run.

It’s painful to watch (and not just because it’s Hillary either). It’s like watching someone full-to-bursting with nearly four decades of lies and scandals try to act like a normal person in under five awkward, cagey, and defensive minutes.

The first cringe-inducer?

When CNN’s Brianna Keilar asks her, “Do you see any role that you’ve had in the sentiment that we’ve seen where people are questioning whether you are trustworthy?”

Hillary responds with that’s just a theme that’s been used against her and her husband for many, many years.

Just a theme used against you guys for many, many years? “Gee, I wonder why that is,” said no one ever (*cough Clinton body count *cough).

FBI raids Michigan Jewish college suspected of defrauding federal government

Federal agents raided the offices of a Jewish college that has prospered from millions of dollars in federal aid even though almost all its students live in Israel and hardly any of them graduate.

Federal officials declined to comment on the reason for the July 7 raid at Michigan Jewish Institute, in a suburb of Detroit.

But in 2012, the Forward showed how MJI’s assets soared as the college enrolled thousands of students in distance and online learning courses.

During a five-year period, MJI’s students claimed $25 million under the Federal Pell Grant Program, which is designed for the neediest American students.

Almost all those students took degree courses in Judaic studies at yeshivas and seminaries in Israel that they never completed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I wonder if Hillary still thinks BDS is the big problem with colleges!

On a side note, the failure of these students to complete their courses underlines a common human trait; people do not respect or value things which they get for free. The more the American taxpayer showers all over Israel, the more disdainful of Americans' "generosity" Israel becomes!

TOP CORRUPT LEADERS IN THE WORLD

Corruption has been the coveted jewel in everybody’s crown since antiquity. Aristotelian philosophy believed that everybody who had power could become corrupt. Nietzsche said that we commit corruption only because there is financial gain. In the 19th century when those that had the power made politics apparently accessible even to the poor by paying politicians a salary in our democracies where already paving the way for their own wealth accumulation. Paying salaries to politicians for the first time so that the wealthy did not have the monopoly of the control of the function of decision making? Were they kidding us back then into believing that politics was democratic? Of course they were pulling the wool over our eyes into making us believe that everybody, whatever their status, would get to govern the country. What they were really doing was making sure that they were able to siphon of the greenbacks from the state, but this time making it look as if it were all above board.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Corruption has eaten the heart out of alleged representative government here in the US.

We used to be a government of the people by the people and for the people; we are now a goverment of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations which own the American political process as never before.

The Kabuki-like process of elections in this country is a complete farce.

We the People never actually get a real choice in candidates, other than those which the corporations have chosen, because they know those candidates will "deliver" on their agendas.

Remember President Obama saying that he would have "the most transparent administration in history"?!? Wow, did that turn out to be a piece of hypocritical irony, looking at what has happened since President Obama took office.

Look at the secrecy involved in these "fast track" trade agreements, which were corporately purchased through donations to Congressional representatives.

Look at UPIgate; Benghazigate; Fast&Furiousgate; IRSgate; and the continued messes in Iraq, Syria, Somalia and Libya.

Can you possibly tell me, with a straight face, that the actions taken to remedy these issues were done with "transparency"?!?

Thinking people would have to say "no" to this question. In fact," HELL, NO!!" would be a more honest response.

And please don't think I am criticising the Democrats over and above the Republicans: they are equally complicit, for what they have done for their corporate masters, at the expense of their alleged constituents.

Greece – The Triumph of Democracy – the first day of a New Beginning

Congratulations! – With a resounding “OXI” = “No” – with 61% the Greek rejected the troika imposed austerity. They joined a majority of economists worldwide, including from the IMF, who also know that austerity doesn’t help recovery – and certainly doesn’t wipe out debt, the noose around a country’s neck.

But – what does the decisive no-vote mean for the 39% yes-voters? – Do they want more of austerity? – Hardly. Or were they manipulated with fear-mongering by the mostly privately owned western media, which also dominate Greece?– Blackmailed by the threats of Brussels? – Were they afraid of what’s next? – Western presstitute media propaganda for a “yes” vote, spiked with fear, threats and purposeful confusion was horrendous.

Hillary Clinton Pledges to Defend Israeli Apartheid and Fight BDS Movement in Letter to Mega-Donor

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sent a letter to media mogul Haim Saban, a mega-donor, assuring him that she would make countering the global Boycott, Divestment & Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel a priority. She invoked a recent terrorist attack against Jews in Paris to condemn BDS and specifically sought Saban’s advice on how to fight back.

“I am writing to express my alarm over the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, or ‘BDS,’ a global effort to isolate the State of Israel by ending commercial and academic exchanges,” Clinton wrote [PDF]. “I am seeking your advice on how we can work together—across party lines and with a diverse array of voices—to reverse this trend with information and advocacy, and fight back against further attempts to isolate and delegitimize Israel.”

Clinton expressed serious concern over comparisons between Israel and South African apartheid.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Anti-Iran Lobby Steps Up Its Game Before Deadline for P5+1 Talks

The U.S. and Iranian nuclear negotiators have just announced a one week extension of their nuclear talks. If, as expected, there is an agreement next week, it will open a new stage of tension in the process leading to its final formal ratification by all parties. For then, the U.S. Congress will have 30 days to vote the agreement up or down. This vote, forced on an unwilling president by his own party’s Senate members several weeks ago, poses a new threat. For the Israel Lobby, it offers a new opportunity to sabotage the deal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mind you, this is the same Congress that pore-approves wars and fast-tracks trade deals because they can't be bothered doing their actual job, but when Israel says jump, they all shout "Ouch, my KNEES!!!"

A Greek Tragedy Playing Out Today

By Catherine J. Frompovich

The Greek people have been known throughout history for two social contributions: developing the form of governance known as “democracy” and for their classic drama plays, which usually are referred to as “Greek tragedies.”

Little did the Greek people think that they would be living a very real life, true Greek tragedy that has unfolded with uncanny drama: Banks closed for a week, maybe longer; 60 Euros as a “daily ATM allowance”; all while probably becoming a poster child for what may be the eventual undoing of the European Union. How so?...

Continuing to draw large and enthusiastic crowds wherever he goes, Sen. Bernie Sanders attracted approximately 9,000 people to a downtown sports arena in Portland, Maine on Monday evening as throngs of people—with a noticeable presence of students and young adults—waited for more than an hour in a line that stretched around the building in order to hear the presidential candidate's populist message.

Jack Sen was a United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) prospective Member of Parliament for northern England before being unceremoniously, and quite publicly, suspended by his party one week prior to the General Election for attempting to broach the subjects of indigenous displacement in Britain, and raising the issue of the genocide waged against the Boer people in South Africa. Jack begins with a bit of history on how he became attracted to UKIP in the first place, and explains the series of events leading up to his suspension.

Greece Refuses Pound of Flesh

I find it somewhat amusing how bankers who make billions from financial manipulations have the gall to lecture Greece that they must accept an austerity plan. These are people who fly in private jets (while lecturing us about global warming) and buy mansions far away from the diversity they proclaim to love. These same people dare to lecture the elderly in Greece that they must work into their old age so that these shysters can get their pound of flesh.

Hillary Clinton Calls for Constant Engagement with Russia

Speaking at a campaign event in Glen, New Hampshire on July 4, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said the United States has to be "much smarter" about how it deals with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "That's why we have to be much smarter in how we deal with Putin and how we deal with his ambitions", Clinton said at a campaign event. "He's not an easy man... But I don't think there is any substitute other than constant engagement".

So far, Mrs. Clinton has been one of Russia’s fiercest critics. In February, she said European governments were "too wimpy" in dealing with Putin, the CNN television channel cited London Mayor Boris Johnson as saying. Now the leading Democratic presidential hopeful seems to be changing the tune.

Donald Trump's Latest Anti-Mexican Rant Says Immigrants Carry "Infectious Diseases"

In a statement released Monday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump defended his anti-Mexican remarks, in which he described Mexicans as drug dealers and rapists at the June 16 launch of his political campaign, arguing they were "deliberately distorted by the media."

"Many fabulous people come in from Mexico, and our country is better for it," Trump writes in his statement. However, he quickly adds that many Mexican immigrants bring "tremendous infectious disease" and saying there are "Mexican cartels that arrange to have Mexican immigrants trying to cross the borders and smuggle in the drugs."

Webmaster's Commentary:

The PC crowd is out for Donald's blood, but cannot refute his observations. The illegals have brought infectious diseases into this nation, including confirmed cases of scabies, HIV, H1N1, and even tuberculosis. But the PC crowd's attitude is that we shouod not talk about certain subjects because ... well ... they are politically incorrect, like black-on-white crime, which is ignored in the rush to report white-on-black crimes, or the fact that yes indeed many of the illegals coming across the border are criminals fleeing prosecution in their home country and yes they are carrying infectious diseases.

Right now, Donald is looking like the most up-front candidate in the 2016 race! Everyone else is just pandering.

The Subtly Hostile Message Putin Sent Obama on Independence Day

Saturday was a rather slow news day. The crisis in Greece was on a brief hiatus before the Sunday vote, and most Americans were busy celebrating Independence Day. The only thing that was widely reported was Putin’s 4th of July message to President Obama, in which he offered an olive branch to the US. “In his message of congratulations, the Russian President noted that, despite the differences between the two countries, Russian-American relations remain the most important factor of international stability and security.” The message mostly interpreted as a kind of “Happy 4th of July” to the President.

More Wag the Dog: Obama’s “Spontaneous” Singing of Amazing Grace at Charleston Eulogy Not Spontaneous at All

In the weeks since the Charleston church shooting, that event has been politicized to the maximum amount possible for gun control pushes and race baiting.

One very “Wag The Dog” moment came when Obama decided to personally give the eulogy for South Carolina Senator Clementa Pinckney who was killed in the shooting.

The mainstream media tried to spin Obama’s eulogy as one of the most amazing things the president has done in his existence on this planet. Pundits left and right slobbered all over the eulogy and the idea that Obama was so moved during his delivery that he spontaneously burst into the song “Amazing Grace”.

Turns out, it wasn't spontaneous at all. The media, by the way, seemed to forget the whole thing was even a funeral or the man who died and was the reason for the entire event in the first place. All media attention and focus (and drool) went to Obama's staged singing.

The official, who was not authorized to speak publicly about the case and spoke on condition of anonymity, said a police check of the weapon’s serial number shows it belonged to a federal agent. The official declined to elaborate further.

Gold And Silver Are Paper-Slammed – Is The System Collapsing?

By Dave Kranzler

When a thoroughly corrupt government wants to try and hide something from the public, they exert an all-out effort to misdirect and cover-up. The financial markets are no different. It’s been obvious to anyone with one good eye and one brain cell that the puppet-masters behind the Wall Street/DC “curtain” have been propping up the Dow/S&P 500 and exerting forceful downward pressure on the price of gold and silver. Why gold and silver? Because gold and silver, for 5,000 years, have been the world’s “alarm system” alerting everyone when something is terribly wrong...

One year on – Marijuana legalization has actually improved Washington State

As several states consider marijuana legalization initiatives, all eyes are on the initial outcomes of Washington’s marijuana law. In 2012, Washington and Colorado became the first two states to pass laws taxing and regulating marijuana. Wednesday will mark the one-year anniversary of retail marijuana sales in Washington. Adult possession of marijuana became legal on December 6, 2012, 30 days after the passage of I-502, the voter-approved initiative legalizing marijuana for adults 21 and older. A year-and-a-half later, the first retail marijuana store opened its doors on July 8, 2014.

Social Security Declares 9,000 Americans Dead Each Year Who Aren’t

Can you imagine what would happen if you were at the grocery store checkout and your credit card was flagged for fraud?

Not only could you not buy food for you and yours, you’d then have to go down to your bank or call to get things straightened out. Only, what would you do if your bank told you there was nothing anyone could do because the government had officially declared you dead to the system?

Apparently this happens to around 9,000 Americans every year, and it completely wrecks their lives (no pun intended).

Craig Murray gets 7/7 wrong - but several helpful readers do their best to help clue him in via the comments

Today the BBC is wall to wall 7/7 commemoration. The coverage keeps focusing on military uniforms, even though the military were in no capacity whatsoever involved in 7/7. It is inappropriate militarism, just as we saw with the return of the bodies of the Tunisian victims.

There is an elephant in the room. Nobody is mentioning the starkly obvious truth. If we had not invaded Iraq, 7/7 would never have happened. HILLARY SOLD HER SOUL (AND HER COUNTRY) FOR 2 MILLION DOLLAR$

Hillary Rodham Clinton said she will speak out against the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement against Israel during her presidential campaign.

“I know you agree that we need to make countering BDS a priority,” Clinton said in a July 2 letter to Haim Saban, the Israeli-American entertainment mogul who has been a major fundraiser for Clinton in the past. “I am seeking your advice on how we can work together – across party lines and with a diverse array of voices – to reverse this trend with information and advocacy, and fight back against further attempts to isolate and delegitimize Israel.”

The Democratic front-runner concludes the letter, which Saban released through a public relations agency, by saying that she plans to address the BDS threat in the coming weeks, as her campaign intensifies.
“I will be speaking out publicly on this in the weeks ahead, so I am eager to hear your perspective and advice,” she wrote.
