Riyadh to Decrease Oil Exports to Asia Next Year

Saudi Arabian Aramco plans to reduce its January crude oil shipments to Asia in an effort to rebalance the international oil market.
The supply of oil to the United States and Europe will remain steady while exports to Asia will be cut by more than 100,000 barrels per day.

In Pushing Saudis on Yemen Aid, US Warns About Losing Congressional Support

Despite repeatedly White House expressions of confidence that the Saudis are definitely going to start letting aid into Yemen at some point, the Saudis have shown no sign of doing so. Privately, the US has been a bit more blunt with them about the potential consequences.

The Trump Administration is trying to sell easing humanitarian aid as a way to placate the US Congress, where mounting concerns about the war crimes being committed in Yemen are seeing votes on US arms sales to the Saudi kingdom increasingly difficult to squeeze through.

The public statements from the White House are getting more frequent, with two statements on Wednesday and Friday of the past week, and officials saying over the weekend they expect more in the coming weeks, suggesting they don’t believe the Saudis will so easily allow food into Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In its two year enabling of the Saudi genocide in Yemen, the US government has been complicit in Saudi war crimes here; there is utterly no getting around this. Here are some very graphic images what the US government and military is assisting the Saudi government and military in "accomplishing" in Yemen:

Images:
Yemeni children being killed or maimed for life.

Images: Yemeni children starving to death, courtesyof the US and Saudi port blockade in Yemen.

Video demonstrating the use of DU by the Saudi Military

Images: severe birth defects in Yemeni infants

I will tell you right now, poisoning a child in the womb with depleted uranium weapons, is one of the most hideously cruel and insanely barbaric examples of outright, despicable child abuse I can imagine; and yet, obviously, the House of Saud; the Saudi Military, and the US military are perfectly comfortable doing this in Yemen.

I can understand the geopolitical potential for US/Saudi power projection by conquering Yemen; but gentlemen, please, at what moral cost to the soul of this nation will such a "victory" come, to the point where the US government is willingly "doubling down" in expanding on Saudi Arabia's war crimes in Yemen?!?

And for those you expect to fight, die, and get maimed for life (possibly from the US's use of DU in Yemen), I think they, and we, the American people, need one hell of an honest, completely factual explanation from you both as to whose “vital interests” are at stake here. Because from where I sit, it is NOT the "vital interests" of We the People, to be escalating the US military's involvement in this war, particularly when almost every expert on the issue has stated that the resolution to this issue has to be political, rather than military.

Get out of Yemen and break up with Israel to restore ties with Iran, Rouhani tells Saudi Arabia

Iran could have better relations with Saudi Arabia, but Riyadh must first stop its military intervention in Yemen and distance itself from Israel, Iran’s president told lawmakers. The two nations are regional powerhouses deadlocked in a conflict.

The confrontation between Iran and Saudi Arabia is multi-layered, rooted in religious, economic and political differences between the two. But, according to Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, relations between the two may improve, if the Saudis take a certain course of action.

Is Mecca next after Jerusalem?

The archaeological study mentioned in the Haaretz report, "Before Islam: When Saudi Arabia was a Jewish Kingdom," did its best to convince the world that "the discovery of the oldest-known pre-Islamic Arabic writing in Saudi Arabia, from circa 470 CE, evidently caused some consternation, given its Christian and Jewish context."

"The framework drawn by the archaeological study was something of an embarrassment to some that the French-Saudi expedition was done so quietly," the report continued, in an obvious move to discredit Muslim sensitivities and even the accuracy of Islamic history.

So, can we question the possibility that Israel wants to hegemonize the Islamic world by arguing the superiority of Jews in all corners of the Muslim world? Starting from even Mecca or Medina? Since that question is more meaningful in the midst of the ongoing Jerusalem chaos, the only alternative for the Muslim world is to be aware of the real intention of the Jewish state.

Saudi war on Yemen was planned in Washington: Journalist

Saudi Arabia’s war of aggression against Yemen was planned and orchestrated in Washington, DC, according to Stephen Lendman, a journalist, writer and political analyst based in Chicago.

Lendman made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Saturday while commenting on a statement by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson who has warned Saudi Arabia about “the consequences” of its actions in the Middle East.

The top US diplomat’s warning came Friday during his brief visit to Paris, France, where he commented on Riyadh’s behavior toward Yemen, Qatar and other neighbors.

"With respect to Saudi Arabia's engagement with Qatar, how they're handling the Yemen war that they're engaged in, the Lebanon situation, we would encourage them to be a bit more measured and a bit more thoughtful in those actions to, I think, fully consider the consequences," Tillerson said.

"Irresponsible, Unwarranted": Saudis Condemn Trump's Jerusalem Recognition, Warn Of "Serious Consequences"

Saudi Arabia has issued a formal condemnation of President Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital and announcement of plans to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to 'the holy city' claimed by both Palestinians and Israelis. The Saudi statement was posted to its D.C. embassy website and circulated via diplomatic channels and the kingdom's social media accounts Wednesday evening.

The kingdom's condemnation invokes "serious consequences of such an irresponsible and unwarranted step" while expressing its "denunciation and deep regret that the administration has taken this step" while calling on the White House to "reverse this action" which constitutes "a drastic regression in the efforts to move the peace process forward."

Trump's Jerusalem Tit-For-Tat: Orders Saudis To ‘Immediately’ End Yemen Blockade

In a brief statement issued Wednesday afternoon, President Trump called on Saudi leadership to completely lift the years long Saudi military blockade on war-torn Yemen. The unexpected announcement came on the same day President Trump delivered an extremely controversial televised address wherein he gave official US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

“I have directed officials in my administration to call the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to request that they completely allow food, fuel, water and medicine to reach the Yemeni people who desperately need it,” Trump said through a White House press release. “This must be done for humanitarian reasons immediately.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. President, please let me get my head around this; you are requesting that the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Prince Salman, end the siege of Yemen, after you just publicly recognised Jerusalem as Israel's capital, keeping your promise to APIAC, and symbolically writing off your debt of $100 million dollars to Sheldon Adelson during the last campaign and yet, you are expecting all of this to make Prince Salman amenable to ending the seige of Yemen?!?

Sir, I am frantically looking for the logic in this request, and frankly seeing absolutely none.

What I would rather expect, particularly after your declaration yesterday regarding Jerusalem, is for Prince Salman to massively acellerate his bombing campaign in Yemen to the point of wiping out any Yemeni people still standing, in retalliation for your having recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

Trump Urges Saudi Arabia to End Blockade of Goods Into Yemen

President Trump pressed Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to fully end its blockade of food, water, medicine and fuel into Yemen, a rare humanitarian rebuke to the Middle East ally that he has firmly embraced since taking office.

Saudi Arabia joined Yemen’s civil war, which pit the country’s leaders against Houthi rebels, in 2015. In November, the Saudis intensified a blockade on Yemen, stopping the entry of goods and other basic necessities, and heightening warnings of a humanitarian crisis from international aid groups.

In a brief but blunt statement, Mr. Trump called on the Saudi government to “completely allow food, fuel, water and medicine to reach the Yemeni people who desperately need it.” Mr. Trump added that lifting the blockade “must be done for humanitarian reasons immediately.”

'Sad' Saudi royals label Trump ‘irresponsible’ and blast US for 'violating peace process'

The US President reversed a decades old US policy on Israel as he announced yesterday the American embassy will move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem but Saudi Arabia claimed it “represents a bias against the rights of the Palestinian people”.

The controversial move has sparked international condemnation from the Palestinians, the UK, Turkey and other nations.

Now the Saudi royal court has released a statement describing the announcement as a “big step back in efforts to advance peace process”, adding it “violates US neutral position regarding Jerusalem”.

The royal court also expressed “deep sorrow” over Trump’s decision, which Saudi Arabia described as unjustified.

Saudi-led coalition intensifies airstrikes against Yemen after death of Saleh

The coalition’s warplanes conducted dozens of airstrikes on positions of the Houthi Ansarullah movement in Sana’a and other northern provinces early Wednesday despite calls for a humanitarian ceasefire in the country, Yemen’s al-Masirah television reported.

The coalition also bombed the presidential palace, Saleh’s residence and houses of his family members.

Local residents said loud explosions were heard in downtown Sana’a.

The airstrikes also targeted other Yemeni provinces, including Ta’izz, Hajjah and Sa’dah.

YEMEN’S WAR IS DESTROYING A GENERATION OF CHILDREN

Ahmed, 13, was picking guava fruit from trees in the Al-Jahmalia district of Taiz with four friends on Sept. 18 when the bombs fell.

After trying in vain to persuade his friends into a game of soccer, he’d wandered off. Minutes later a shell, fired by Houthi-Saleh forces, struck, shaking the earth beneath Ahmed’s feet. He ran back to check on his friends, only to arrive in time to watch the youngest, Rayan, 6, take his last breath on the street. The limbs of the others, ages 15, 14, and 12, were scattered across the narrow pathway between traditional stone houses.

“At the beginning of the war, we used to get scared. But now we are used to it,” said Ahmed, the crackle of gunfire and shelling echoing in the distance. He was standing in the same street where he’d watched his friends die two weeks earlier.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You have to understand: this is precisely the outcome Saudi Arabia's Butcher of Yemen, AKA Prince Salman, wants to see happening in Yemen.

And, of course, in light of the reality that the US government is aiding and abetting Saudi war crimes in Yemen, these are precisely the outcomes Prince Salman is getting; the assassinations of children, women, and the medical fragile elderly; deaths through malnutrition, through cholera and now, diptheria.

I would imagine, with the assination of former President Saleh, that the Prince may well order a concerted carpet bombing of Yemen, and complete his grisly and gruesome genocide against this country.

CIA Chief: Saudi, Israel May Set Up ‘Joint Military Headquarters’

CIA Director Mike Pompeo says Saudi Arabia is working directly with Israel on confronting “challenges” in the Middle East, suggesting that the two sides could go as far as setting up “a joint military headquarters.”

Speaking at the Reagan National Defense Forum in California, Pompeo cited Daesh, Iran and “failed states” as posing a challenge to both Saudi Arabia and Israel, advising the two sides to develop their relationship.

“We’ve seen them [Saudis] work with the Israelis to push back against terrorism throughout the Middle East, to the extent we can continue to develop those relationships and work alongside them – the [Persian] Gulf states and broader Middle East will likely be more secure,” he said.

“It is incredibly important that in the Middle East, where we have failed states, where you have ISIS, where you have Iran, that we have got to develop a stronger coalition of countries that are willing to work together to confront these challenges,” he added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

CIA Director Pompeo, forgive me please sir, but this is an officially horrible idea, and concretely telegraphs that the US, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, are all gung ho on attacking Iran, creating "regime change" in Tehran.

So Director Pompeo,I, need to ask a question of you here; should the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia do this, how will Russia respond, in light of the fact that Russian military and political leaders have vowed to protect Iran militarily, should it be attacked?!?

Director Pompeo, I truly believe that you owe all Americans, particularly those whose kids will be killed or mamed for life in such a war, a brutally honest assessment here of what the potential involvement of Russia's military would mean in a war against Iran.

Yemen: 'Now there will be a new level of civil war'

The death of Yemen's former president Ali Abdullah Saleh raises doubts about the future of the war-torn country, as a Saudi-led coalition's fight against Houthi rebels will likely intensify, analysts say.

Saleh was killed on Monday by Houthi fighters - his former allies - and his death is considered a "very big blow" to his forces, said Hakim al-Masmari, editor-in-chief of the Yemen Post.

"His house has been under siege for the last two days and today they attacked the house. He escaped … he was found in a vehicle that had clashed with Houthi checkpoint forces," he told Al Jazeera from Yemen's capital, Sanaa.

"This is where he was killed along with a number of his senior aides."

Saleh, who ruled Yemen for more than three decades and played a pivotal role in the country's ongoing civil war, had called on the Saudi-led coalition to lift the siege it imposed on Yemen in a televised speech on Saturday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am fully expecting the Butcher of Yemen, Saudi Arabia's Prince Salman, to order as full and thorough carpet bombing of Yemen as he can conjur, leaving no Yemenis still breathing, and completely destroying what is already hideously destroyed infrastructure behind.

And let's call it by its proper name: genocide, in which the US government and military are blissfully complicit.

Saudis move toward Netanyahu’s vision on the Palestinians — NY Times

An American peace plan rumored to be backed by Saudi Arabia has reportedly fueled concerns among Palestinian and Arab officials that Washington has adopted Israel’s views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Under a proposal presented by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas during the latter’s visit to Riyadh last month, the Palestinians would receive a non-contiguous state in the West Bank and Gaza Strip without full sovereignty over the territory they control; the vast majority of Jewish settlements in the West Bank would not be evacuated; the Palestinians would not receive East Jerusalem as their capital; and Palestinian refugees and their descendants would not be allowed to return to Israel, The New York Times reported late Sunday.

The Inevitable Collapse of Israeli-Saudi-American Alliance Against Iran and Resistance

From the earliest years of the Zionist project, the leaders of the movement - which then morphed into the State of Israel - understood that regional coalitions were crucial to its success. But Israel is a settler colonial project and therefor it was and still is very much hated by people in the region. Israel and its leaders invested in creating and promoting corrupt unprincipled despots to lead in the countries around it, men who would control the Arab world by keeping its people poor, uneducated and without representation and would pose no threat to Israel and its policies of genocide and ethnic cleansing perpetuated against the people of Palestine. Israel has had some degree of success in this, especially with the reactionary monarchies. Countries who had leaders that resisted Israel ended up paying a heavy price.

"Gnomes Of Zurich" In Panic As Saudi Corruption Crackdown Sparks Flood Of Money Laundering Inquiries

There are two divergent views on the crackdown on corruption by Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), which led to the arrest and detention of 200 princes, ministers and former ministers.

On one hand, it was a masterstroke which will earn political capital with the Saudi people and catalyse an Arab Spring in which MBS is a modernizing reformer who will liberalise Islam.

On the other, it was nothing other than a cynical and desperate attempt to tighten his grip on power and weaken competing clans within the ruling family (especially sons of former King Abdullah) as the nation risks splitting apart due to political and economic fissures. Last week, we noted that former head of the National Guard and senior member of the Abdullah clan, Prince Miteb bin Abdullah, purchased his freedom for a cool $1 billion.

Israel lobby billionaire praises Kushner for collusion with Netanyahu

President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner received public praise on Sunday from a billionaire Israel lobby financier for his possibly illegal attempts to derail a UN Security Council vote condemning Israel’s settlements a year ago.

This came as news broke that Kushner failed to disclose in government ethics filings his role as director of a family foundation that funded Israeli settlements.

Kushner, a senior adviser to Trump, is in charge of efforts to revive the so-called peace process.

New details of Kushner’s Saudi-backed plan reported Sunday confirm that it would require nothing less than a complete capitulation by the Palestinians to Israel’s demands, leaving them with a state in name only.

Progress report on the US-Russian war

I am often asked if the US and Russia will go to war with each other. I always reply that they are already at war. Not a war like WWII, but a war nonetheless. This war is, at least for the time being, roughly 80% informational, 15% economic and 5% kinetic. But in political terms the outcome for the loser of this war will be no less dramatic than the outcome of WWII was for Germany: the losing country will not survive it, at least not in its present shape: either Russia will become a US colony again or the AngloZionist Empire will collapse.

At the end of the day, political regimes can only survive by the consent of those it rules. In the United States this consent is clearly in the process of being withdrawn. In Russia it has never been stronger.

Netanyahu and CIA Director Pompeo Threaten Iran

Washington, Israel and Saudi Arabia comprise a sinister alliance against Iran, risking greater regional war than already.

Last month, Netanyahu vowed to prevent Iran from using Syria “as a base from which to destroy Israel” – invoking the long ago discredited canard.

Iran threatens no one, not Israel or any other countries. The Big Lie persists to justify unjustifiable US/Israeli/Saudi hostility toward the Islamic Republic.

Following Israeli warplane terror-bombing of a Syrian military target overnight Friday, naked aggression by any standard, Netanyahu released a disinformation statement, roaring:

“Let me reiterate Israel’s policy: We will not allow a regime hell-bent on the annihilation of the Jewish state to acquire nuclear weapons.”

“We will not allow that regime to entrench itself militarily in Syria, as it seeks to do, for the express purpose of eradicating our state.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

US citizens have been lied into two wars in recent memory, the Iraq war, and the Afghanistan war; we will not sit still for being lied into a third against Iran, for which Saudi Arabia and Israel are cheerleading, but fuly expect that the costs of "victory" (if there is one) will be exclusively borne by American blood and American money.

And I hope, if President Trump, signs off on such a military misadventure, as has been Afghanistan, Lybia, and Iraq, that he will seriously consider the following hard reality; Russia has vowed to come to Iran's aid, if attacked militarily.

Lebanon will only survive if Hezbollah disarms: Saudi minister

Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister said on Friday that Lebanon had been “hijacked” by Hezbollah and could only flourish if the Iranian-backed group disarmed.

The Shi‘ite Muslim militia was set up by the powerful Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) in the 1980s and has grown steadily in influence, sharing power in the Beirut government and giving crucial support to President Bashar al-Assad in Syria’s civil war.

Its growing strength has alarmed Saudi Arabia, a Sunni Muslim monarchy that is Shi‘ite Iran’s arch-rival for regional influence.

“Lebanon will only survive or prosper if you disarm Hezbollah,” Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir told a conference in Italy. “As long as you have an armed militia, you will not have peace in Lebanon.”

Jubeir said the situation in Lebanon was “tragic” and accused Iran of fomenting unrest across the Middle East.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Saudi Prime Minister Jubeir, a word please; how is your country's genocide against Yemen NOT "fomenting unrest across the Middle East"?!?

You have what we Americans colloquially describe " the Horse Sense" to understand that should Hezbullah disarm, it makes Lebanon suseptible to a hostile takeover by either your country, or Israel.

The Lebanese people understand this, and see Hezbollah as a force for good; I doubt that they will disarm any time soon.

Ravaged by Cholera, Yemen Faces 2nd Preventable Scourge: Diphtheria

Diphtheria, a deadly infectious disease once thought to have been largely eradicated, has now joined cholera as a public-health scourge threatening war-torn Yemen, where a blockade by Saudi Arabia has impeded emergency aid.

Officials at the World Health Organization said Friday that at least 22 people in Yemen had died of diphtheria and nearly 200 had been sickened since it was detected three months ago.

The disease, which the medical charity Doctors Without Borders said had not been seen in Yemen for 25 years, has now spread to 13 of Yemen’s 22 governorates.

Officials warned that young children were especially vulnerable to the disease, which spreads through the air and could escalate quickly into an epidemic in Yemen if health workers there lack the antitoxins and vaccine to control it. Currently they have little of either.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently, from the perspective of the thoroughly, morally depraved Saudi Butcher of Yemen, Prince Salman, the Yemenis, and particularly their children haven't suffered enough, and not enough of them have died from Saudi bombings; death by malnutrition; death by cholera, and death by diptheria.

And the US government is blissfully happy in enabling this genocide.

Of course, I fully understand that people in the highest levels of government in this country have had their conscience surgically removed before taking office.

I don't think that I am alone here in feeling very morally uncomfortable in being a citizen of a country which colludes in war crimes, which is precisely what the US government is doing with Saudi Arabia right now.

EU resolution calls for arms embargo against Saudi Arabia, accuses it of war crimes

The European Parliament has adopted a resolution, which calls for an EU-wide embargo on arms sales to Saudi Arabia over the alleged war crimes it has committed in Yemen. The resolution also criticizes EU members selling arms to the Gulf kingdom.
The EU parliament “condemns in the strongest terms the ongoing violence in Yemen and all attacks against civilians and civilian infrastructure, which constitute war crimes,” the resolution passed on Thursday says. It goes on to say that “dozens of Saudi-led airstrikes have been blamed for indiscriminately killing and wounding civilians in violation of the laws of war, including through the use of internationally banned cluster munitions.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bravo to the EU on this one; however, unfortunately is most likely to be thoroughly ignored by the two major weapons-sellers to Saudi Arabia, and those countries would be the UK and the US.

Their Merchants of Death are simply making too much money, and all profits - no matter where they come from - are deemed "good for the economy", right?!?

Saudis Intercept Ballistic Missile Fired From Yemen

It's deja vu all over again in Saudi Arabia. Al Arabiya reports that a ballistic missile from Yemen has been intercepted on Thursday by Saudi air defense forces in southern city of Khamis Mushait in the south western province of Assir.

Huthi rebels fired a ballistic missile today that hit a military target in Saudi Arabia, rebel media in Yemen said, after the leader of the group threatened Riyadh with retaliation over a blockade.

"We confirm the success of our ballistic missile trial, which hit its military target inside Saudi Arabia," the Huthi-run Al-Masira television channel said.

Earlier, rebel chief Abdulmalik al-Huthi warned against "prolonging the blockade" imposed on Yemen following a November 4 Huthi missile attack that was intercepted near Riyadh international airport.

After Cheerleading for Invasion of Iraq, Tom Friedman Glorifies Saudi Arabia’s War Criminal

Thomas [Tom] Friedman, the supposedly liberal columnist of the New York Times and the "imperial messenger" of the US establishment, needs no introduction.

This is the same man who was the leading cheerleader for the illegal and criminal invasion of Iraq in 2003 that set the Middle East on the path of bloodshed and destruction. This is the same man who called the invasion of Iraq "the most radical-liberal revolutionary war the US has ever launched." The is the same pundit who, about a month after George W. Bush declared "mission accomplished" – and the mission, destruction of Iraq and the rest of the Middle East, has indeed been accomplished – stated in an interview with Charlie Rose about that war,

Webmaster's Commentary:

Friedman is a presstitute and warmonger of the most despicabler order, which is why he should be ignored, and become irrelevant to any future discussion of American foreign policy.

It therefore is completely logical that he should defend Saudi Prince Salman, the Butcher of Yemen, in his genocide against that country; that is what he is paid to do, defend the indefensible, in order to line the pockets of the Merchants of Death which own him and the NYT.

Britain's secret role in Saudi Arabia's dirty war: UK troops are training army that has left a million on the brink of starvation, investigation finds

The British Army is secretly training Saudi Arabian troops to fight in Yemen, where the country has been accused of committing crimes against humanity, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.

Up to 50 UK military personnel have been teaching battlefield skills to soldiers who will be deployed in the so-called ‘dirty war’.

Thousands of civilians have been killed in bombing raids and an estimated one million children are facing starvation and serious illness as a result of the conflict.

The Army’s involvement is part of Britain’s ‘shameful complicity’ in the suffering, according to Tory MP and former Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You have to understand; what Saudi Prince Salman, the Butcher of Yemen, wants to see happen here, is a total and complete genocide of the Yemeni people.

And to that end, the US and UK have been incredibly complicit in making this guy's sick, twisted dream become a reality on the ground.

The picture which accompanies the article says it all; an innocent toddler, starving to death, who will probably never gain back either his intelligence or his health in full measure.

Prince Salman is utterly furious that this child, and all the other Yemeni children like him, have not already starved to death.

I am thoroughly amazed that he hasn't ordered a complete carpet bombing of the country, creating mass murder of every Yemeni civilian still breathing; but perhaps, that is his next step in the country's total obliviation and destruction.

And to the American and British legislators who have signed off on this; you no longer represent your alleged constitutents; only the corporations, particularly those merchants of death, which own you, and are making tremendous money peddling their wares to the Saudi governement for the genocide it is creating in Yemen.

And having signed off on this Saudi genocide in Yemen, this demonstrates, incontrovertibly, that you have collectively have had your consciences surgically removed before having taken office.

Saudi-led ‘Arab NATO’ declares total war on terrorism; Iran, Iraq & Syria not invited

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Salman has vowed to “wipe” terrorists from the “face of the earth” using resources available to the Islamic Military Alliance, a so-called ‘Arab NATO’ which claims to be targeting a “faceless enemy,” rather than any particular “sect” or “country.”

Formed in 2015 by then-deputy Crown Prince and defense minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, the IMA has so far only functioned on paper. Now the Crown Prince wants to take his brainchild to the next level by declaring a total “war against terrorism,” during the Sunday summit of IMA, also referred to as the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) or the “Arab NATO.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

OH, REALLY?!?!?

Forgive me, but I am nearly close to choking from nausea, invoked by the glaring hipocrisy of the words coming out of this guy's mouth, relative to the hellish realities on the ground he has created for the people of Yemen.

So please: when does Prince Salman intend to announce the end of the terror he and his coalition are raining down on Yemen with these damnable bombing raids, which are killing civillian women, children, and the medically fragile elderly here?!?

When will he stop the US-enabled blockades of Yemeni ports, leading to massive deaths by malnutrition?!?

And when will he get a reasonable, and rapid, medical response going to the horrific outbreak of cholera, which is killing thousands in Yemen?!?

According to the Middle East Eye, members of UK parliament have accepted some £94,189 ($126,939) worth of luxury hotel stays, lavish dinners, business class flights, donations and other forms of hospitality from the Saudi government this year alone.

So far this year, 13 Conservative MPs have accepted the royal welcome, as well as one Labour MP, who reportedly got a donation worth £6,722 ($8,964), from the Saudi Kingdom.

SAUDI ARABIA’S COALITION CRUMBLES IN YEMEN. 5 KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM A FAILED WAR

Middle East Eye editor-in-chief David Hearst notes that “All in all, the first military venture to be launched by the 32-year-old Saudi prince as defense minister is a tactical and strategic shambles.”

The Saudi war is heavily backed by the United States and the United Kingdom.

Zerohedge reports on MBS’ disastrous and illegal military adventure in Yemen that is killing millions of civilians and bankrupting the Saudi Kingdom.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Good that the coalition appears to be crumbling.

I, very frankly, hate being a citizen of a country colluding with Saudi Arabia in war crimes in Yemen. And I link back to these images again and again, because I think the American people need to be having a very honest dialogue about what is being done, with our tax dollars and in our names in the Middle East.

It is financially very profitable for the US merchants of death to continue to supply Saudi Arabia with the bombs and bullets which kill, and maim for life, innocent infants, toddlers, women, and the medically fragile elderly.

These same corporations, the heads of which have all had their consciences surgically removed before taking office, contribute generously to both parties, so why shouldn't the assassinations of Yemeni innocents continue, as long as they are profitable?!? That is the only thing that matters anymore in American society, profitability, right?!?

Here is what that "profitability" is looking like to Yemeni kids these days:

Saudis step up perks for British MPs to keep mum on Yemen: Report

Saudi Arabia has reportedly intensified lobbying efforts since the start of its deadly war on Yemen, with dozens of British lawmakers having accepted thousands of pounds in lavish perks in breach of the code of conduct.

British MPs have enjoyed over £130,000 in Saudi hospitality since March 2015, when the kingdom launched its military campaign on Yemen, the Middle East Eye (MEE) reported on Sunday.

Mistakenly Posted Photos Allegedly Expose UK Training Saudi Forces in Yemen War

According to The Daily Mail, the secret training program is allegedly aimed at teaching so-called "irregular warfare" combat skills to Saudi forces and involves some 50 UK military personnel.

The British military is training Saudi forces to fight in Yemen, where a conflict between the Riyadh-backed government and rebels has claimed over 12,000 lives, The Daily Mail reported Sunday.

The program, codenamed Operation Crossways, involves nearly 50 British military personnel from the 2nd Battalion of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, according to the report. They are teaching "irregular warfare" techniques to officers from the Royal Saudi Land Forces Infantry Institute.

The British military involvement is a "shameful complicity" in the suffering Yemenis are facing in the ongoing conflict, Tory lawmaker and former Development Secretary Andrew Mitchell told the newspaper.

50,000 children in Yemen have died of starvation and disease so far this year, monitoring group says

An international aid group says an estimated 130 children or more die every day in war-torn Yemen from extreme hunger and disease.

Save the Children said late Wednesday that a continuing blockade by the Saudi-led coalition fighting Yemen's Shiite rebels is likely to further increase the death rate. It says over 50,000 children are believed to have died in 2017.

Saudi Arabia blocked Yemen's ports after a rebel missile attack near Riyadh. It said Monday the coalition would lift the blockade after widespread international criticism.

Webmaster's Commentary:

You have to understand; this genocide of Yemen's children is precisely the outcome the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Saudi Arabia's Prince Salman, eagerly wants to bring about, courtesy of US military collusion in Saudi war crmes.

In fact, I am rather amazed that he has not ordered the complete carpet bombing of Yemen at this point; perhaps that is his "next tactical step".

Saudi crown prince calls Iran's supreme leader 'new Hitler'

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has denounced Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as the "new Hitler of the Middle East", as tensions simmer between the regional rivals.

Saudi Arabia and its arch-rival Iran have traded a bitter war of words after a missile fired from Yemen was intercepted near Riyadh airport on November 4. The missile was claimed by Yemen's Tehran-backed Huthi rebels.

Iran's "supreme leader is the new Hitler of the Middle East", Prince Mohammed told The New York Times in an interview published Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I do not know if the original interview was done in Arabic, or in English, but it is painfully apparent that the Butcher of Yemen is pathologically incapable of understanding all the reasons why this analogy would work much better for himself than for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Let's see: has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the assassination, and maiming for life, of innocent infants, children, women, and the medically fragile elderly?!?

NO.

Has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the blockading ports, causing massive deaths through complications of malnutrition, primarily, again, in children.

NO.

Has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei allowed a massive epidemic of cholera (possibly weaponised) to wipe out thousands of people, with no end in site?!?

Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has done none of these things, while Prince Salman has done every one of them.

I would to politely suggest, at this moment, that Prince Salman, morally, needs to look into a mirror.

NO.

THE REVERSE MIDAS TOUCH OF SAUDI ARABIA’S CROWN PRINCE IS TURNING THE MIDDLE EAST TO DUST

Both MBS, as he has come to be known, and his elderly father King Salman, the BND analysts wrote, want Saudi Arabia to be seen as “the leader of the Arab world” with a foreign policy built on “a strong military component.” Yet the memo also pointed out that the consolidation of so much power in a single young prince’s hands “harbors a latent risk that in seeking to establish himself in the line of succession in his father’s lifetime, he may overreach,” adding: “Relations with friendly and above all allied countries in the region could be overstretched.”

And so it has come to pass. In fact, despite being repudiated at the time by a German government more concerned about diplomatic and commercial relations with Riyadh, the BND warning turned out to be eerily prophetic.

In Escalating War Of Words, Saudi Crown Prince Calls Iran's Ayatollah "New Hitler Of The Middle East"

Godwin's law states that "as an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hitler approaches 1." Saudi Arabia's powerful, and controversial, 32-year-old Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman - who in just a few months has made more local (and foreign) enemies than most of his predecessors accumulated over a lifetime, decided he does not need to wait that long, and in a glowing interview with the New York Times' Thomas Friedman, which touched on everything from the accommodations of the Riyadh Ritz-Carlton, to the recent power grab anti-corruption campaign, to Donald Trump, to the Saudi social and religious revolution, called the Supreme Leader of Iran “the new Hitler of the Middle East”, escalating the war of words between the arch-rivals. For his part, Khamenei has referred to the House of Saud as an “accursed tree”, and Iranian officials have accused the kingdom of spreading terrorism.

SAUDI ARABIA ARRESTS SECOND RICHEST MAN IN KINGDOM

Saudi authorities have arrested Mohammed Hussein Al-Amoudi a duel national with Saudi and Ethiopian citizen and is reportedly the second richest Saudi, after Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal.

While bin Talal’s arrest has gained most media attention. Al-Amoudi’s arrest is especially important because it could potentially destabilize the economy of an entire country, according to Middle East Eye.

Al-Amoudi, who is also known as “the Sheikh”, has invested in almost every sector of Ethiopia’s economy, including hotels, agriculture and astrology.

According to a leaked diplomatic cable from 2008 “the Sheikh’s influence on the Ethiopian economy cannot be underestimated.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Although, given his wealth and investments, this is probably a "Sheikh Shake-Down" for money, on the part of Prince Salman, it will have to be seen how this arrest, and the aftermath, plays out in both African and international markets first part of next week.

SAUDI ARABIA TO BUY $7BN-WORTH OF US PRECISION WEAPONS FROM RAYTHEON & BOEING

As part of the mammoth $110-billion deal brokered by Donald Trump, Saudi Arabia is purchasing precision arms worth $7 billion from US manufacturers Raytheon and Boeing, a media report says. This is in spite of concerns over the toll on Yemen’s civilians.

Raytheon and Boeing are the two defense contractors selected to produce precision-guided munitions for the Saudi Arabian military, Reuters reported on Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter. The deal is part of the giant $110-billion weapons agreement inked by Trump and the Saudi king Salman bin Abdulaziz in May.

Neither the corporations nor Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to the US, Prince Khalid bin Salman, chose to comment on the precision weapons sale. The Saudi diplomat said, however, that his country will follow the agreement signed by Trump and King Salman.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How terrific for the Yemeni people, in light of the fact that these arms are going to be used to continue the two year-plus Saudi Arabian-led, US militarily-enabled genocide in Yemen, courtesy of the Butcher of Yemen, AKA Prince Salman, which is looking something like this, these days:

Images: Yemeni children killed and maimed for life from Saudi bombing runs.

Images: Yemeni chidren dying from malnutrition

Images: Yemeni children dying of cholera

In your names, folks, and with your tax dollars; how does that make you feel?!? Are you proud to be an American, whose country is colluding in war crimes with the Saudi government and military?!?

Because as an American citizen, I am, very honestly, morally outraged to be a citizen of a country which enables, and endorses war crimes against innocent civilians!!

I am honestly amazed that Prince Salman has not yet ordered a complete saturation/carpet bombing of Yemen, so that not one Yemeni individual is left standing. But perhaps he as "saved" that tactic as the next one for Yemen.

I am absolutely confident that both Sec Def Mattis and President Trump would sign off on it, and immediately, in a "Larry the Cable Guy" Get "Er Done!" kind of way.

Buchanan: The US-Saudi Starvation Blockade

Our aim is to "starve the whole population – men, women, and children, old and young, wounded and sound – into submission," said First Lord of the Admiralty Winston Churchill.

He was speaking of Germany at the outset of the Great War of 1914-1918. Americans denounced as inhumane this starvation blockade that would eventually take the lives of a million German civilians.
***
A comparable crime is being committed today against the poorest people in the Arab world – and with the complicity of the United States.

Saudi Arabia, which attacked and invaded Yemen in 2015 after Houthi rebels dumped over a pro-Saudi regime in Sanaa and overran much of the country, has imposed a land, sea and air blockade, after the Houthis fired a missile at Riyadh this month that was shot down.

The Saudis say it was an Iranian missile, fired with the aid of Hezbollah, and an "act of war" against the kingdom. The Houthis admit to firing the missile, but all three deny Iran and Hezbollah had any role.

EXCLUSIVE: 'American mercenaries are torturing' Saudi elite rounded up by new crown prince - and billionaire Prince Alwaleed was hung upside down 'just to send a message'

Saudi princes and billionaire businessmen arrested in a power grab earlier this month are being strung up by their feet and beaten by American private security contractors, a source in the country tells DailyMail.com.

The group of the country's most powerful figures were arrested in a crackdown ordered by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman three weeks ago as he ordered the detention of at least 11 fellow princes and hundreds of businessmen and government officials over claims of corruption.

Just last month, the Crown Prince vowed to restore 'moderate, open Islam' in the kingdom and relaxed a number of its ultra-conservative rules, including lifting a ban on women driving.

Syria Summit Kicks Off In Russia With Some Anti-Saudi Trolling

While in Sochi, Russia for trilateral talks between Russia, Iran, and Turkey over the future of Syria, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has taken to Twitter for some serious trolling. As the first day of the summit concluded - a day preceded by a rare 4-hour visit to Russia by Syrian President Bashar Assad who met with Putin on Monday - Zarif stated, "No need for empty words or gimmicks - including glowing orbs - when you're actually working for peace and against terror."

The Iranian FM was of course referring to the unforgettable photo op which lit up the internet from Trump's inaugural visit to Saudi Arabia last May wherein Trump along with Saudi King Salman and Egypt's Sisi laid their hands on a strange glowing orb upon the opening of something called the "Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology" (no one knows what the center has accomplished since then).

TOP SAMANTHA POWER AIDE IS NOW LOBBYING TO UNDERMINE OPPONENTS OF YEMEN WAR

STARVING CHILDREN WITH haunting eyes and emaciated bodies. Bombed-out hospitals and homes. A cholera epidemic that is the largest and fastest-spreading in modern history. These scenes have sparked outrage and a flurry of denunciations of the U.S.-backed war in Yemen, which is led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

But that’s not to say the war has no defenders in the United States. In fact, a public relations consultant and former U.S. diplomat enlisted by the UAE has worked to discredit U.S.-based groups raising awareness of atrocities in Yemen.

Hagar Chemali previously served as a top spokesperson for Samantha Power, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Now, she is paid six figures to shape the debate about the war at the U.N., including by discrediting NGOs that advance evidence of human rights violations in Yemen, according to public disclosures and emails obtained by The Intercept.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are people on this planet who will do anything for money, including whoring for genocide; this is precisely what Hagar Chemali is doing right now, in her enabling the Butcher of Yemen, Prince Salman, to get closer to his goal of complete anihilation of the Yemeni people, assisted by the US military.

The Saudi System And Why Its Change May Fail

The Saudi clown prince Mohammad Bin Salman is an impulsive tyrant. But what accounts for his urge to purge the country of any potential competing power center? Why does he run a such an activist foreign policy? The answer might be Iran. Not Iran the country, but Iran the system.

Since the U.S. war on Iraq the sclerotic Saudi Arabia continuously lost standing in its region. The Iranian model gained ground. A decade later the authoritarian Arab systems were challenged by the so called "Arab spring". While the movements in the various countries -as far as they were genuine- have failed, they were a warning sign for things to come.

Everywhere Surge: US Mideast Deployments Up 33% in Four Months

The Pentagon isn’t always honest about troop levels overseas, but their quarterly reports have shown a precipitous rise in ground troop deployments across the Middle East since June. Perhaps most interestingly, these deployments came entirely after the announced escalations in Iraq and Syria had already taken place.

US troop levels are up some 33% across the 14 nations included in the report, and rose in every single one of those countries. This spans a region covering all nations from Turkey to Egypt, down to Yemen, and over to Iraq and Kuwait.

The largest deployments are some of the most surprising, with the US presence in Qatar more than double over the past report (3,164 to 6,671), and nearly tripled in the United Arab Emirates (1,531 to 4,240). It is particularly noteworthy that troops continued to be added to nations in which seemingly nothing is happening, like Oman and Lebanon, suggesting the US is determined to just escalate everywhere at all times.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Escalations like this don't happen for utterly no reason: logistics like this take time, and planning.

I would suggest that this bump in troop strength in the Middle East may well b may well be a pre-positioning of resources in advance of an attack against Iran, possibly tag teaming with both Israel and Saudi Arabia.

This could get very nasty, very quickly, as Russian political and military leaders have consistently vowed to come to Iran's aid militarily, should it be attacked.

Lebanese Army On "Full Combat Readiness" At Southern Border To Counter "Israeli Enemy"

Two days after Israel provided the first ever official confirmation of covert ties with Saudi Arabia, a step many analysts see as a precursor to future conflict in the Middle East involving adversaries Iran and Lebanon, on Tuesday the head of the Lebanese Army told the military to be at “full combat readiness” to face “the Israeli enemy” at the country's southern border. The announcement comes as Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, vow to tighten their grip on Lebanon’s Hezbollah militia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It would not surprise me much if both Saudi Arabia and Israel went into Lebanon this weekend, with Americans collectively sedated from all the tryptophane in the turkey they consumed for Thanksgiving, and focused on football and Christmas shopping.

I hope that I am wrong, but I am intuiting a massive buildup in tensions in the Middle East, from the Saudi purge, and the its government's statements that both Lebanon and Iran had begun a war against it.

You cannot keep any army on highest alert for a long period of time without sacrificing energy and awareness of those troops; I suspect that some movement from Israel and/or Saudi Arabia against Lebanon may well be imminent.

Why Are We Helping Saudi Arabia Destroy Yemen?

It’s remarkable that whenever you read an article about Yemen in the mainstream media, the central role of Saudi Arabia and the United States in the tragedy is glossed over or completely ignored. A recent Washington Post article purporting to tell us “how things got so bad” explains to us that, “it’s a complicated story” involving “warring regional superpowers, terrorism, oil, and an impending climate catastrophe.”

No, Washington Post, it’s simpler than that. The tragedy in Yemen is the result of foreign military intervention in the internal affairs of that country. It started with the “Arab Spring” which had all the fingerprints of State Department meddling, and it escalated with 2015’s unprovoked Saudi attack on the country to reinstall Riyadh’s preferred leader. Thousands of innocent civilians have been killed and millions more are at risk as starvation and cholera rage.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Dr. Paul, some of us, particularly contributors to WRH, HAVE been paying attention.

And what we are seeing, is a clear case of the US government colluding in Saudi war crimes; the assassinations and maiming of Yemeni children; starvation of Yemeni children to death, and the introduction of (perhaps weaponized) cholera to the country, which has slain, and will slay, countless more.

In fact, I am somewhat amazed that Prince Bin Salman hasn't ordered an all-out carpet bombing of the country, not allowing one one Yemeni individual to survive.

Perhaps that is the next step in the Butcher of Yemen's strategy.

The analogy of which I am most clearly reminded, is that if the response by the Papal Legate, who ordered a seige of the the Cathars, holding out at Montsegeur, France. When informed by his soldiers that women, children, and infants, were with the beseiged men, he gave the following order: "Kill them all; God will find his own."

But I can tell you that I am profoundly morally uncomfortable, being a citizen of a country for whose leadership, the commission of war crimes in Yemen "is no big deal"; but then again, I have always known, or at least intuited, that those on their way to seizing and consolidating political, financial, or military power in this country, have had their consciences surgically removed.

100 Billion Reasons To Have Non-Reportable Assets

Today oil constitutes more than half of Saudi Arabia’s GDP and more than 90% of government revenue… and it is the reason why Saudi Arabia is one of the world’s richest nations as measured by per-capita GDP.

But all that success also comes with risk: what happens when the wells run dry? Or when the oil price falls?

That’s what they’re dealing with now.

Saudi Arabia has been in and out of recession over the past few years due to the steep decline in oil prices. And the government is desperate to raise revenue.

In a confidential letter sent to UNSC diplomats on Nov. 10, the panel said they had seen no evidence to support Saudi claims that short-range ballistic missiles have been transferred to Yemeni forces in violation of UNSC resolutions, the US-based investigative website The Intercept reported on Friday.
