Saudi-led Air Strikes Destroyed Nearly 400 Hospitals in Yemen

Nearly 400 hospitals and medical facilities in Yemen were destroyed during the four-year war period as a result of the Saudi-led coalition air strikes, Health Ministry spokesman Youssef Hadiri said in an interview with Sputnik News, on Thursday.

“More than 375 hospitals and medical facilities were destroyed because they were hit directly or indirectly by bombs and missiles launched by the coalition,” Hadiri said.

The spokesman added that the Yemeni medical sector is in critical condition due to the war that is exacerbated by Saudi-led aggression.

Hadiri also said that more than 5,000 people in Yemen need to undergo dialysis or kidney transplants and that in the war period at least 1,200 people died from not receiving the treatment or medication needed for kidney disease. In addition, the spokesman said that the humanitarian crisis in Yemen has led to the death of more than 700,000 people.

“Diseases and epidemics such as cholera, diphtheria, various flu viruses and hunger, caused by the blockade to Yemen, affected to some degree 16 million people, as a result more than 700,000 people died,” he said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Hey, I bet you that the Butcher of Yemen, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is jumping with joy, at the huge number of non-combatants murdered outright, and the number of hospitals destroyed.

I can visualize him right now, prancing around the palace, in absolute self-absorbed delight, yelling, "We're Number One!! We're Number One!!"

And will any one of his palace staffers, or his family, have the "male attributes" necessary to take him aside, and whisper, "Sorry, your royal highness; this makes you one of the worst war criminals of the 21st century."?!?

I sure wouldn't bet on it; but I will also bet that, in the staff or his family of his BFF in Foggy Bottomsville, (President Trump), no one will have the nerve to mention this to President Trump, either.

Americans are living at the keening edge of a moral, and physical, catastrophe of Biblical proportions. And it is largely of our own making, by not holding Congress and the White House accountable for domestic and foreign policies, which may be good for the monied, and for certain foreign nations with an absolute "strangle hold" on US foreign policy, Israel being the chief offender, but generally lousy for We the People.

We have witnessed massive flooding of farm lands, meaning that crops cannot get planted, and food will have to be massively imported, and costs will go through the roof. Trade war, flooded fields leave Midwestern farmers thinking about skipping a year: 'What the heck am I doing farming?'

We are witnessing an absolute flood of illegal immigrants, which seems, at the moment, to be unstoppable; Congress must act to stop mass migration of illegal aliens;

We are seeing a massive increase of diseases which the US hasn't seen in decades, infecting people all over the place.Infections Making the Border Crisis Worse

By shunning those countries which, apparently, the Foggy Bottomites hate with an unimaginable zeal, we are turning those countries toward each other, in the arenas of economy and defense. This is just the polar opposite of what this administration should have done.

We have Russia; Iran; China: India; and North Korea very very ticked off at the US at this moment. A number of these countries are looking to drop the dollar completely from their economic dealings. China, Russia urged to Continue to Defang the US dollar.

India's trade status with the US has just been downgraded.Trump removes India from special trade status

And North Korea will not unilaterally denuclearize, until some US government "good faith" gestures are made to reciprocate those of North Korea: North Korea: the US Shouldn't Try their patience on diplomacy

And in looking at this, please remember Karl Marx said, and this has been proven true: "All wars are economic in their origin."

One can feel the tectonic vibrations of geopolitical decisions, starting to rattle and vibrate, moving this planet ever more close to another world war.

The US government believes that it has every right, to expropriate resources around the world, to which it has utterly no moral right; there's regime change, occupation, and the sure and certain knowledge, that these resources will be only sold for US dollars.

Change, rinse; repeat. We are seeing the push to maintain American hegemony, and that of the US dollar, with the current, endless US enabled wars, and sanctions, to make this so.

But every nation has a life-cycle; a beginning, a middle, and an end; and what we are observing, on a global stage, that the US is an empire in clear decline, and what we are seeing, are the death spasms of a government to keep its crumbling self together for just a little while longer.

But most probably, it will not manage to stay for a very long time; these images, of the utter squalor which has become downtown LA, tell the story quite accurately: Inside the Squalor on Sid Row, as typhoid scare grips Los Angeles

So let me ask you; are these images of a country, and culture, doing magnificently well, at this time in its history?!?

The honest, short answer here, is HELL, NO!!

I would be more cautious with my assessment of Yemen

If the Saudi-funded spread of Wahhabism truly began as a result of Western countries asking Riyadh, the Yemen war could be a similar disguised Western move.
