THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"CEOs of most of the world's largest corporations daily make decisions that destroy the lives of many other human beings. Only about 1 to 3 percent of us are sociopaths - people who don't have normal human feelings and can easily go to sleep at night after having done horrific things. And of that 1 percent of sociopaths, there's probably only a fraction of a percent with a college education. And of that tiny fraction, there's an even tinier fraction that understands how business works, particularly within any specific industry. Thus there is such a shortage of people who can run modern monopolistic, destructive corporations that stockholders have to pay millions to get them to work. And being sociopaths, they gladly take the money without any thought to its social consequences." -- Thom Hartman

WHILE THE NATION FRAGMENTS SOCIALLY, THE FINANCIAL ARISTOCRACY RULES UNIMPEDED

If there is one central irony in American history, it is this: the citizenry that broke free of the chains of British Monarchy, the citizenry that reckoned everyone was equal before the law, the citizenry that vowed never to be ruled by an aristocracy that controlled the government and finance as a means of self-enrichment, is now so distracted by social fragmentation that the citizenry is blind to their servitude to a new and formidably informal financial aristocracy.

Jason Greenblatt should abandon his one-eyed approach towards the Palestinians

Without making any apparent effort to check the facts about the disturbances in Gaza, Greenblatt took aim indiscriminately at the Palestinian factions in the besieged territory. The Israeli-led siege and occupation did not figure in his calculations, of course. Not only did he criticise Hamas, but he also targeted Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, even though both factions are themselves critical of the movement. This suggests very strongly that the “Special Envoy” — for which read “there to advance Israel’s interests only” — was not concerned about the Palestinians or the alleged “violence” inflicted upon them by Hamas; that his sole aim was to demonise the Palestinian resistance factions, including Hamas, because they oppose the Israeli occupation of Palestine.

Polish president says Israel must make first move to resolve crisis

His comments came a month after tensions flared between Poland and Israel over comments reportedly made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a conference on the Middle East in Warsaw.

After a briefing with reporters, Netanyahu was quoted as saying that “the Poles cooperated with the Nazis” to kill Jews during the Holocaust, The Jerusalem Post reported on its website on Friday.

Netanyahu’s reported comments were seen as suggesting Polish complicity in the Holocaust.

But Netanyahu’s office said at the time that the Israeli prime minister “spoke of Poles and not the Polish people or the country of Poland. This was misquoted and misrepresented in press reports and was subsequently corrected by the journalist who issued the initial misstatement.”

The spat escalated when days later Israel’s interim foreign minister claimed that Poles “imbibed anti-Semitism with their mother’s milk.”

His face turned blue, then he died

Rami Dababish was trying to help the wounded when he found himself facing a thick cloud of tear gas. Feeling the suffocating effects of the gas, he stepped back and squatted on the ground. Then he noticed there was a teenage boy beside him.

Dababish, a field medic, told the boy not to venture any farther. But the instructions made no difference. A short while later, Dababish saw the boy fall over.

Running towards the boy, “I found blood flowing out of his neck,” Dababish said. “I tried to stop the bleeding by putting gauze on the injury and pressing on it. Then his face turned blue. It was only a few minutes before he died.”

This killing occurred on 8 February during the Great March of Return, weekly protests in Gaza demanding that Palestine refugees be allowed go home to the towns and villages from which Zionist forces expelled them in 1948. The victim’s name was Hamza Ishtaiwi. He was 17.

Seoul aims to end nuclear deadlock between North Korea, Washington

A statement issued by Seoul’s presidential Blue House on Monday said the time was now right for the two Koreas to hold further talks — building upon President Moon Jae-in’s policy of rapprochement which saw him meet Kim three times last year.

“We’re in a deep agony over how to take advantage of this baton that has been handed over to us,” said the statement, attributed to a high-ranking official.

“We agree with the view that no deal is better than a bad deal … However, in reality, it is difficult to achieve complete denuclearization at one stroke. I think we need to reconsider the so-called all or nothing strategy.”

The Unintended Consequences of ASS

The Japanese make Bonsai miniature trees by stunting real ones. In this case, the result of altering the natural course of things is pretty.

When government stunts the natural growth of things, the result is usually not.

It’s also almost always expensive, too.

A good example of both is ASS – Automated Stop/Start – and the 48 volt electrical systems being grafted (just the right word) onto many new cars to make ASS palatable.

ASS is an engineering expedient, not a feature.

‘NATO solidarity clause is called Article 5, not article F-35’ – French defense minister

Europe must move away from full dependency on American weapon supplies, the French defense minister stressed, slamming President Donald Trump’s “conditional” approach towards NATO and his European allies.

Expressing concern that Trump’s idea of NATO’s solidarity is “conditional on allies buying this or that equipment,” the French Minister of the Armed Forces, Florence Parly, wondered if the US commitment to the military block will continue to be “perennial.”

The alliance should be unconditional, otherwise, it is not an alliance. NATO’s solidarity clause is called Article 5, not article F-35.

Egypt Ignores Washington’s Warnings, Purchases More Than 24 Su-35 Jets From Russia

Russia has signed a contract with Egypt for the supply of several dozen heavy Su-35 multi-role fighters, according to two top managers of defense industry enterprises.

According to them, the relevant agreement covers the supply of “over two dozen machines” and related parts to them in the sum of about $ 2 billion, entered into force at the end of 2018, and deliveries can begin as early as 2020–2021. The sources declined to disclose the cost of the contract, but noted that it “guarantees the capacity utilization of the manufacturer of the machine, the Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Plant, for several years ahead.”

As the newspaper notes, in the coming years, along with the MiG-29M / M2 medium fighters supplied to Egypt, they should significantly increase the combat potential of the Egyptian air force fleet, which are still armed with outdated Soviet MiG-21s and Chinese J-7s.

Notes to watch out for if you see the Video from New Zealand.

Here's the list in chronological order.

1) When he walks to the mosque, people see him, but he doesn't choose to shoot them. Especially the one getting in the car in the mosque car park.

2) The two men at the door that are shot, do not show any damage, even though they were shot with a shotgun at point blank range.

3) The AR-15 gun (A) used in the mosque gun's sound, compare with the 2nd AR-15 gun (B) later in the video.

4) Gun A does not register any effects on where the gun is firing: no body movement, no bullet holes, no blood, especially on the shooter.

5) Notice stacking of bodies in the corners (all wearing socks), even before he started shooting them. Is it natural for everyone to do this when you hear gun fire? The other corner stack of people no socks or shoes all white feet, no black people.

6) Theory: Gun A is firing blanks. Maybe firing at crisis actors. Which is why the shooter didn't shoot in point 1)

Christchurch mosque shootings: Aussie PM calls for G20-wide social media crackdown

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison is calling for a G20-wide crackdown on internet and social media giants like Google, Facebook and Twitter.

In the wake of the Christchurch mosque shootings, the Aussie PM has written to Japanese Minister Shinzo Abe, who will host the G20 summit in June, asking for a crackdown to be a top agenda item, according to correspondence leaked to The Australian.

The G20 is an annual meeting of the world's 19 largest economies plus the EU.

Morrison's letter questions the "unrestricted role played by internet technologies in this and other terrorist attacks".

He calls on G20 leaders to "ensure that there are clear consequences, not only for those who carry out such horrific acts, but for those who facilitate them".

Gun City sold alleged Christchurch mosque gunman four firearms but not the military style semi-automatic reportedly used

*No mention in the media here about the guns not bought at Gun City*

The owner of Christchurch's Gun City says the firearms retail outlet sold the alleged mosque gunman four A category firearms and ammunition but the military style semi-automatic gun reportedly used in the attack that killed 50 people was not purchased from them.

David Tipple has told a media conference he and his staff are dismayed and disgusted by what happened last Friday afternoon.

Australian Brenton Tarrant has been charged with murder following an attack on two mosques in Christchurch.

"We can't comprehend how such despicable actions could be carried out on those in prayer in their place of worship," Mr Tipple said.

Mr Tipple said he has informed the police that Gun City sold the alleged gunman four A category firearms and ammunition and all Gun City sales to him followed a police verified online mail order process.

Russia deploys Tu-22M3 bombers & Iskanders to Crimea in response to US missile launchers in Romania

Russia has deployed strategic bombers and Iskander missile systems in Crimea to counter US anti-missile elements in Romania, a top senator said. It will allow the country to respond to any threat coming from European territory.

Russia’s state-of-the-art missile systems, including S-300 and S-400, Buk-M2, Pantsir-S1 and two modifications of [nuclear capable] Iskander, have also been stationed at the peninsula, he added.

NEW ZEALAND GOVT PUSHES GUN CONTROL DESPITE NOT KNOWING WHERE SHOOTER GOT GUNS

New Zealand’s government is already pushing for gun control despite the fact that their investigation into how the shooter obtained firearms is still in its preliminary stages.

So far, all that’s known about the shooter Brenton Tarrant’s acquisition of firearms is that he obtained a “category A” gun license in November 2017 and began legally purchasing them a month later.

“While work is being done as to the chain of events that lead to both the holding of this gun license and the possession of these weapons, I can tell you one thing right now. Our gun laws will change.” New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said Saturday.

It’s not yet known where he purchased the weapons, but it’s unlikely they were from Australia given its severe restrictions of semi-automatic firearms, which Tarrant had used during the Christchurch mosque attack.

US denies report it is leaving up to 1,000 troops in Syria

The United States strongly denied Sunday a report that it intended to leave almost 1,000 troops in Syria, adding plans for a residual force of around 200 troops had not changed.

The Wall Street Journal had reported Sunday that as talks with Turkey, US-backed Kurdish forces and European allies have failed to produce a deal on a "safe zone" in northeastern Syria, the US now intended to keep working with Kurdish fighters in the country.

It quoted US officials as saying the plan could see up to 1,000 US forces spread across the country.

"A claim reported this evening by a major U.S. newspaper that the U.S. military is developing plans to keep nearly 1,000 U.S. troops in Syria is factually incorrect," General Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said in a statement.

Damascus Accuses US and Its Allies of War Crimes in Syria

The Syrian Foreign Ministry responded to the statement issued by the US-led coalition partners that refused to take part in the reconstruction of Syria noting that these states are not invited to contribute to the reconstruction after those war crimes committed against the Syrian people.

"These countries that killed and destroyed have never been interested in the reconstruction [of Syria] and they are not invited to contribute to the reconstruction. These states should only pay compensations for the killing and destruction committed as a result of their heinous crimes and stop their blatant interference in internal affairs", the statement obtained by Sputnik read.

The ministry noted that counterterrorism methods of the US-led coalition constitute war crimes and violations of the international law.

No bail for man accused of distributing live stream of mosque shootings

An 18-year-old man has appeared in Christchurch District Court today charged with distributing a live stream of the Christchurch mosque shootings.

He has also been charged with publishing objectionable publications in the week prior to the attacks, including a photo of the mosque with the words "target identified", and messages inciting extreme violence.

The man, who has interim name suppression, was arrested by the police on Friday. Police have said they do not believe he was directly involved in the attacks.

The public gallery was cleared for his appearance, where Judge Stephen O'Driscoll decided not to grant him bail, and imposed strict limits on what the media can report.

This Is Proof: America Is Already At War With Ourselves - We'll Either Win That War And Save America Or Lose Our Country And Lives To Global Government Tyranny

Once upon a time, there was a revolution on the American Continent. It all started when people in the 13 various colonies got fed up with being governed and abused by a distant king who felt that his colonial subjects were his personal “piggy bank” and unjustly taxed them on their products and livelihood. In protest, a shipload of tea was thrown into the sea to get the attention of the king, but it did little good.

The taxes continued and the representation of the colonies was never recognized. The only logical result was an outright rebellion, which did, indeed, happen. The colonies finally came together, and after a bloody war, formed an independent union of states which eventually became recognized as an independent country. The United States of America was formed!

Colorado Becomes the 12th Blue State to Support Ditching the Electoral College

Colorado has joined 11 other states captured by Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election to pass a legislative measure to award the winner of the popular vote count with their Electoral College votes.

Democrat Gov. Jared Polis signed the measure on Friday, though it will only take effect if enough states – those representing at least 270 of the electoral votes, the amount needed to win a presidential election – sign onto the same law.

With Colorado’s inclusion, the law has been passed in states representing 181 of the votes.

The move marks yet another in a frightening display which has seen states still raging about Clinton’s defeat, attempt to abolish the Constitutional system that prevents those with massive populations – such as the liberal cesspools of New York and California – from deciding who leads the rest of the country.

Yemen: 4 Years of British Enabled Tragedy

The evidence of just how destructive the UK-backed Saudi war on Yemen has been continues to flood in. Last week, two separate reports outlined the scale of brutality unleashed on the Yemeni people. A United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) report concluded that nearly one-hundred civilians were killed or injured in Yemen every week in 2018 whilst the preface of the Days of Judgement report from US-based University Network for Human Rights (UNHR) and Yemeni monitoring group Mwatana spells out just how dire the situation is:

"In a country that was already among the poorest and most fragile in the region, 14 million people are now threatened by famine and even more depend on humanitarian assistance. While precise figures are lacking, an estimated 50,000 people have been killed as a direct effect of the war and 85,000 children may have died of hunger and preventable diseases."

Gabbard says calling Trump a Putin puppet is dangerous & stupid, Twitter calls her a Putin puppet

Democratic candidate for president and establishment-punching bag Tulsi Gabbard is taking heat on Twitter for daring to suggest that the Russiagate scandal could be pushing the US and Russia toward a dangerous new Cold War.

Gabbard tweeted that “short-sighted” politicians and media pundits who spend their time accusing Donald Trump of being in cahoots with Russia were helping bring about a new arms race because the accusations have led Trump to do “everything he can to prove he’s not [Russian President Vladimir] Putin’s puppet — even if it brings us closer to nuclear war.”

In a sane world, journalists, pundits and even Gabbard’s fellow Democrats all understood exactly what she meant and took her point on board. Except, this is Twitter we’re talking about, so of course, she was eviscerated.

India Mulls Rupee Payment to Continue Purchasing Venezuelan Oil

India's Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has advised private refiners Reliance Industries and Nayara Energy to avoid making payments for Venezuelan crude imports through channels that are likely to be impacted by US sanctions.

New Delhi (Sputnik): In a major indication that India is in no mood to buckle under US pressure, New Delhi has already started the process to make sure that purchases of crude oil from Venezuela would not be impacted in the absence of a sanction-proof payment system.

A government official told Sputnik that making payments in India's national currency is being considered, but that the proposal is at the initial stage.

“Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it.” ? Leo Tolstoy

I know you heard the news that Fox News last week preempted Sixth Avenue’s answer to Learned Hand, Judge Jeanine Pirro, from her weekly show for reasons I’ll and you’ll never know or understand. And she was replaced, er, preempted for reruns of “Bowling for Sportshirts” or some Gawd awful remnant and retread ostensibly after her not-so-well-received comments anent and regarding newly-minted Congressperson Ilhan Omar. Seems that JJ’s quips and witticisms as to the compatibility of what Ms. Pirro viewed as Sharia with a member of Congress’s allegiance to the Constitution were not well-received. So what, I say.

Public disgrace: 82% of EU govt websites stalked by Google adtech cookies – report

Adtech trackers were found on 25 of the 28 member states' sites, with only Spain, Germany and the Netherlands clean of commercial cookies. There were 52 companies identified on France's government sites, 27 on Latvia's and 19 on Belgium's. Twenty cookies were identified on GOV.UK, of which 12 were marketing, and all belonged to one company – Google.

Indeed, the search giant is described as the "kingpin of tracking" within the report, present on 82 per cent of all the sites and accounting for three of the top five trackers: YouTube, DoubleClick and Google.

The report authors said this was of "special concern" because Google can cross-reference trackers with its first-party account details via its widely used consumer services such as Mail, Search and Android apps.

‘Master spy’ Christopher Steele admits he used unverified internet post to create Trump dossier

Christopher Steele, the ex-British spy who fueled Russiagate hysteria with his DNC-commissioned opposition research on Donald Trump, admitted during a lawsuit deposition that he relied on unverified information contained in a report published by CNN iReport – a now-defunct “user-generated” news site. Stories featured on iReport were submitted by citizen journalists and were not edited, fact-checked, or screened before being published.

Steele acknowledged under questioning that he had used a July 28, 2009 report published on iReport to substantiate claims he made about internet hosting company Webzilla and its alleged Kremlin ties. However, the former British intel officer insisted that he thought iReport boasted the same thorough journalistic standards as CNN.
