Hackers trick Tesla into breaking speed limit by 50mph using two inches of tape

Researchers at cybersecurity firm McAfee have shown that two inches can make all the difference, fooling two types of Tesla car into speeding up by 50mph (80.5kph).

Using a small, almost imperceptible sticker on a speed limit sign, the McAfee scientists were able to trick the cars’ MobilEye EyeQ3 camera system into thinking the sign read ‘85’ and not ‘35,’ confirming that autonomous driving systems and the machine learning algorithms that power them still have a long way to go.

Something Amazing Was Discovered Hiding Inside Marijuana

Recently, two new exciting molecules have been discovered in a marijuana plant. They are variations on the familiar CBD and THC molecules; they have been named cannabidiphorol (CBDP) and ?9-tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THCP). THCP appears to be thirty times more effective than THC at stimulating the brain’s type one cannabinoid receptor, CB1. This receptor is responsible for producing the euphoria, or the high, associated with marijuana. This means that THCP is thirty times more potent than THC. Therefore, although the level of THCP in the marijuana is quite low, its ability to stimulate CB1 receptors and produce euphoria is quite powerful.

The Metal Trump Wants More Than Gold

Global dominance at this point in the game means control of the rare earths elements that form the backbone of existing technology and the future of technology, and while everyone is busy playing at war with oil and gas, Beijing is busy sitting on a monopoly of our most precious strategic metals.

There are 16 metals in total that form the world’s strategically critical rare-earth elements--and China controls the supply of every single one because it controls 96% of production.

One of these crucial metals is Cesium.

It’s worth up to twice the price of gold, ounce for ounce, there are only three producing mines in the world, and all of them are controlled by China.

Tesla on autopilot had steered driver towards same barrier before fatal crash, NTSB says

The driver who died after his Tesla crashed into a highway barrier while using autopilot had previously complained about the system aiming him towards the same barrier, according to newly released documents from the National Transportation Safety Board.

The March 2018 crash killed an Apple engineer who was on his way to work near Mountain View, California.

The NTSB investigation found that the man had previously complained about his Tesla steering him toward the concrete barrier that eventually became the scene of the fatal crash.

"Many times, when the driver went past the crash location in the left lane, the Tesla would steer left toward the gore point area and he would have to manually take control to stay within the left lane," the NTSB documents stated.

"The family explained that it happened so often that he had told both his brother and his wife about the problem," it added.

Here’s what you need to know about Lena Sun, the vaccine propagandist who writes for The Washington Post

It’s no big secret that the mainstream media is a propaganda oligarchy that feeds the hoodwinked masses a steady diet of fake news aimed at advancing the globalist agenda. And part of this agenda is to make sure that people continue to get vaccinated, which is why The Washington Post hired vaccine propagandist Lena H. Sun as a “national reporter focusing on health.”

While you may not have heard of her specifically, you’ve probably seen her work, or at least the consequences of her work, on social media or in conversations with friends or family members. Sun wrote that ugly hit piece against Dr. Joseph Mercola that the Post published just a few days before Christmas, as well as a series of fear-mongering pieces about an alleged measles outbreak in Samoa.

Sonos CEO Issues a Half-Baked Apology, Continues Bricking Old Speakers and Sending Them to Landfills

The letter from the Sonos CEO doesn’t retract anything that the company announced last week. It just clarifies some points of how the system will work.

Sonos still offers its terrible Trade-Up program, in which old speakers are bricked on their servers before being sent to landfills. Sonos admitted that 92% of its devices are still in use, which is terrible for selling new speakers to old customers.

Those wanting to avoid the headache of maintaining two entertainment systems are being offered 30% off new Sonos speakers. Old speakers must be put into recycle mode, which bricks the device. Technically, it’s a choice the customer makes and not one that is being forced by Sonos directly.

On the 70th anniversary of Orwell’s death: The danger of third parties “curating” and “fact checking” our info

It is a dangerous practice: Government, corporations, universities, news outlets and “experts” curating our information so that we cannot access, see or believe that which they determine we should not access, see or believe.

If anyone had suggested to Orwell, or the American founders, that we would invite this sort of manipulation and control of our information, they wouldn’t have believed it.

The idea was first introduced on the national stage by President Obama in October of 2016 right before the presidential election. He insisted that somebody needed to step in and “curate” our information in the “Wild, Wild West” internet environment.

Nobody had been clamoring for any such thing.

So the challenge for those who came up with this bright idea– in my opinion in an effort to control news and information– was to convince the public to accept something very un-American: their information being shaped and censored by others.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I do shudder and despair, at the degree to which Orwell's "1984" has been embraced as a "How-To manual", by those who want to control the narrative, rather than the cautionary tale it was meant to be.

Internal emails from Boeing staff members working on the 737 MAX were made public earlier this month have revealed new safety problems for the company's flagship 777X, a long-range, wide-body, twin-engine passenger jet, currently in development that is expected to replace the aging 777-200LR and 777-300ER fleets, reported The Telegraph.

Already, damning emails released via a U.S. Senate probe describes problems during the MAX development and qualification process. The emails also highlight how Boeing employees were troubled by the 777X – could be vulnerable to technical issues.

MANDATORY VACCINE BILL FAILS AFTER THOUSANDS SHOW UP TO PROTEST IN NEW JERSEY

SOURCE: MATT AGORIST
(Support Free Thought) -

A bill in New Jersey that would’ve stripped parents and children of their right to informed consent by allowing them to object to mandatory vaccinations failed on Monday. Much to the chagrin of the tyrants who claim ownership over the bodies of others, the bill that would have eliminated religious exemptions to mandatory vaccinations failed to pass the New Jersey state legislature.

According to reports, the bill was canceled in the Senate before the vote because lawmakers knew they lacked the passing votes. The proponents of the bill vowed to reintroduce it on Tuesday but this gives opponents a new time frame on the public hearing and voting process.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF you have ever wondered who owns both state, and national politicians, just look at the things you are mandated to do, or not do; and big pharma has state and national politicians by a very sensitive portion of the human anatomy.

California: Buying Health Insurance Without Being Slimed

By law, the only period of in the year (barring extreme or life changing circumstances) in which you can start, or change, your health insurance plan ended on December 15, nationwide.

Open enrollment in California, however, continues all the way until the end of January --11:59 p.m., January 31, 2020, to be exact.

Needless to say, Health Insurance companies want as many Californians to think this deadline has passed as possible.

That way, when they find out their plan was "upgraded" and is now prohibitively expensive, they will assume – wrongly – that there is nothing they can do.

Amazon Admits Employees Have Secretly Watched Ring Camera Customers

In a letter to U.S. senators, tech behemoth Amazon admits that it has fired employees discovered to have been spying on customers using the company’s Ring cameras.

Tesla's "Black Boxes" Are Only Accessible By The Company (Not NTSB Or NHTSA) After Crashes

Like in airplanes, Teslas are equipped with "black boxes" that log critical information in the seconds and minutes leading up to accidents and crashes. They record details like braking, airbag deployment and other measurements.

While conventional vehicles can have their Black Boxes accessed widely, cars with automated driving technologies can only have their information accessed by the manufacturer. This means that any potential investigation hinges on information that would need to be handed over by the company that's being investigated.

And so Bloomberg's Dana Hull asks a good question: should we be worried that the only people that have access to this information are the manufacturers themselves?

And we'll ask another question: isn't this even more true when, say, that company perhaps doesn't have the best track record for unbridled honesty?

AMERICA IS THE 4TH WORST ABUSER OF BIOMETRIC PRIVACY RIGHTS IN THE WORLD

SOURCE: MASS PRIVATE I

credit: Comparitech

Does anyone really believe America is still the land of the free?

Since 9/11, DHS, the FBI, the CIA, and countless other alphabet soup agencies have turned the United States into a public surveillance monstrosity.

In 19 years, one terrorist attack has done what no one else could have dreamed of: turn America’s freedoms into a distant memory.

Abusing citizen’s rights and privacy used to be the hallmark of dictatorships and police states like the CCCP or North Korea.

A recent study conducted by Comparitech, rated 50 countries from best to worst at protecting citizen’s biometric data.

The study found that America is one of the world’s worst abusers of citizen’s biometric privacy.

Sonos Trade-Up Program Bricks Old Speakers, Creating Toxic Landfill Waste

Sonos sells the program to participants saying “sustainability is non-negotiable.” But according to one report from an e-waste recycler, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Sonos’ recycle mode intentionally bricks old devices so they cannot be reused.

A Twitter thread brought attention to the matter when several Sonos Play:5 speakers were submitted. Each of the speakers is worth about $250. To be eligible for the Sonos Trade-Up program, users are required to put their devices in ‘recycle mode.‘

After 21 days, the device is deactivated and cannot be ‘recycled’ as it renders the device permanently useless.

While many users of the program think they’re helping the environment, the opposite is true. Bricked devices cannot be reused and go directly into a landfill. What’s worse is that some Sonos users manage to activate ‘recycle mode’ accidentally.

Trump’s EPA Goes to Bat for Bayer as Company Fights $25 Million Verdict in Roundup Cancer Case

resident Donald Trump‘s Environmental Protection Agency—already accused of being “pesticide cheerleader”—threw its weight behind chemical company Bayer AG on Friday when the agency asked a federal appeals court to reverse a lower court’s ruling in favor of a man who said the company’s Roundup weedkiller was responsible for his cancer.

The case centers on Edwin Hardeman of California, who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2015 after using the glyphosate-based pesticide, made by Monsanto, for years on his property. Bayer acquired Monsanto last year.

A federal jury in July ordered the company to pay Hardeman roughly $25 million in damages, a lower amount than the $80 million a federal judge had ordered months earlier.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF any one of us were to advocate the consistent dosing of the families of EPA members with the amount of Roundup to which this man had been exposed, we would be charged with "terroristic threatening".

And if it hasn't dawned on you by now, it's official: President Trump, and the cronies he has chosen to run this government, are just as much a swamp creatures as those who he excoriates in his rants and addresses.
