Smeared as ‘Russian Bot’, UK Man Demolishes Sky News Hosts, Slams ‘Neocon Wars’

An interview with a prolific Twitter user accused by the British government of being a “Russian Bot” quickly turned heated as challenged their arguments, particularly their claim that by not toeing the UK government line, he was “anti-Britain” - and perhaps even a Kremlin agent.

It all started with a blog post from the Digital Forensic Research Lab of the DC-based, Gulf-funded think tank Atlantic Council, which said that some of the conversations about the poisoning of double agent Sergei Skripal "appear to involve organized activity, including possibly fake accounts masquerading as English users, in the well-known pattern of the ‘troll factory' in St. Petersburg." The post devotes a substantial portion of space to Twitter user @Ian56789, cited as an "unusual account" that was "especially active" on the subject.

Did UK Fake The Skripal Case To Shut Down RT?

The British authorities have accused the television channel Russia Today of bias in covering the case of the Skripals and threatened to revoke their license. There is not a single broadcasting violation by Russia Today over the past year and a half. This is data provided by the British media regulator Ofcom. And now, seven separate investigations into the television channel have been started: the media regulator is investigating a violation of the principle of objectivity.

“We covered the case of the Skripals much more objectively than all other media, and this can be easily verified,” Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the channel, says. “Ofcom wrote that our channel, in fact, follows the rules of this regulator well and does not violate them. ”

In total, since 2012, Ofcom has recorded 15 minor violations by RT. This is a normal standard for Europe. For comparison: the British Sky News, for the same period, has 10 violations.

‘Fake news’: the mainstreaming of Syria conspiracy theories

Even before the missiles reached their targets, though, what had previously been the claims of a small, if vociferous, section of Assad’s supporters had extended to commentators and analysts; questions started to be asked about whether or not the Douma attack was simply another example of “fake news”.

Such allegations are not new in the Syrian crisis. The regime has long accused opposition groups of faking incidents to support their cause, and Western media of inventing stories to tarnish Assad’s image. Russian websites have largely peddled a narrative sympathetic to their government’s foreign policy in the region, portraying the Syrian opposition as armed terrorist insurgents violating national sovereignty. Over time, regional commentators and analysts have been known to verify news from state news agencies, as well as Russian and Iranian outfits, due to the stories often being backed by unreliable and incomplete evidence.

THINK FOR YOURSELF AND QUESTION EVERYTHING! : Fake media is coming for our memories...

Let’s put this all together. False memories fester when they make sense to our political worldview, when it’s familiar and repeated ad nauseam, when we trust the source of the information, and when this information is corroborated, shared, and discussed by like-minded people. Where else do all these things happen? Social media. Fake stories tend to move more quickly to people on these platforms than the truth, fueled by surprise and bias.

First they lied about Iraq, now they’re lying about Syria to wage war

Last week self appointed global sheriff the United States and deputy dawgs Britain and France showered more than 100 missiles upon Syria, telling the world they were making our planet safer by punishing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for gassing his own people with chemical weapons.
***
The decision to bomb Syria had not even been made when Trump jumped the gun and warned Assad and his Russian allies in a tweet of “nice and new and ‘smart’!” missiles heading their way.

According to US media reports, Defence Secretary James “Mad Dog” Mattis pleaded with Trump to wait until Assad’s alleged responsibility for the Douma “attack” could be verified and Congress given a chance to authorise the act of war, but they went ahead to validate Trump’s tweets.

Is everyone registering this? Trump may have risked a third world war so he would not risk losing his credibility for live-tweeting Fox and Friends.

Exclusive: 'Everyday Guy' Describes How He Brought Down An American Terrorist Cell

His path to becoming an informant for the FBI is completely unique. It began in July of 2015 with a trip to the local library with his son. He saw what he considered an anti-Israel poster, which featured a Palestinian flag and described the situation in Israel as apartheid. He tore it down. “They have the right to put that up, and I have the right to take that down, in my opinion, so I did,” Day said of the incident. Then he passed along a photo of the poster to a friend who eventually posted about it on Facebook. The post went viral. Day was soon invited to a cookout attended by a number of members of a militia group in Kansas. Somewhere along the line the story got mixed up, and people in the militia believed that Day had found an ISIS recruiting poster. That wasn’t the case at all. But the FBI, which was looking into rumors of the ISIS poster, interviewed Day and ended up being interested in him because of his connection to the militia.

'Little Pink House' on Supreme Court Eminent Domain Kelo Case, Opens In Theatres Today

'Little Pink House,' a film dramatizing the evil Kelo v. City of New London U.S. Supreme Court decision, opens today. The film has unfortunately not gotten wide release, so you may have to search around to find it. Here is the trailer, I suggest folks patronize such good films as this.

''7 Days In Entebbe,' Film About Israeli Hostage Rescue, Is Actually Worth Seeing

I had seen the trailer twice at theatres, and it mentioned "the plight of the Palestinian people" while showing a hijacked airline, so it caught my attention. I already knew that Netanyahu's older brother was the only soldier killed in the raid to rescue the hostages in 1976. The rescue took place in Uganda while this country celebrated our 200th anniversary, on July 4, 1976. I fully expected this movie to be a propaganda piece, but was very pleasantly surprised. Very good acting and the Jewish director, who consulted with many who were actually involved in the rescue, presents an accurate historical recount of events, as well as examines the opinions of the "terrorists" on the struggle between Palestine & Israel. For that reason alone, this film deserves our patronage.

Did James Comey Try To Set Trump Up on Salacious Dossier?

We called it.

Last night, here at The Political Insider, we reported that the fabled memos of former FBI Director James Comey outlining his discussions and meetings with President Trump would be released to Congress. In the piece, we noted that you shouldn’t “count on the substance of the memos to remain a secret from the public for very long either.”

Just like clockwork, some of the memos were leaked last night, revealing Comey’s deeply-held memories about his talks with President Trump. And we’re just learning that Comey may have revealed that President Trump was set up in one meeting in order to have the infamous Trump dossier, which documented Trump frequenting Russian prostitutes, reported in the press.

Fox's Hannity, CNN's Cooper trade blows in cable news network brawl

Fox News and CNN On Wednesday again traded blows on the air with Fox News's Sean Hannity comparing CNN's Anderson Cooper to Jerry Springer and Cooper hitting Fox for not reprimanding its top-rated host.

The back-and-forth jabs seem to be happening on a regular basis between the two cable news networks, with MSNBC, which is currently second to Fox News overall in the cable news race, rarely being dragged into the fight.

“In the two days that have elapsed since the president’s lawyer Michael Cohen was forced to reveal in court that the mystery client he tried to keep secret was, in fact, Sean Hannity, the consequences have been swift,” Cooper said.

Why Gallup Overstates American Sympathy for Israel

How accurate are Gallup polling results in general? Like many other mainstream pollsters, Gallup wrongly predicted a win for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump right up to the day of the 2016 election. Gallup more famously predicted in 1948 that Thomas Dewey would beat Harry S. Truman and also incorrectly forecast a slim victory for Gerald Ford over Jimmy Carter in 1976. While Gallup correctly predicted the winner of the 2008 presidential election, it was ranked by a Fordham scholar at 17th out of 23 polling organizations in terms of precision. In 2012 Gallup wrongly predicted a Mitt Romney win, and received a drubbing by poll analyst Nate Silver as the least accurate among 23 major firms, with a 7.2 point gap from the final result. More gravely, Gallup was criminally charged and paid fines in 2012 over well-documented charges of falsifying data.

Meghan McCain Blasts James Comey on The View

It’s about damn time somebody slapped that smug, holier-than-thou look off of James Comey’s face.

The former FBI Director paid a visit to ‘The View” to regale the liberal ladies with his mean-spirited stories about President Trump. Anticipation was high:

He wasn’t counting on someone: Meghan McCain.

McCain, who is still a recent addition to the show, ripped Comey a new one, calling him out for his faux all-shucks demeanor.

Let’s get things straight: Comey wrote a book on ethical leadership that reads like a jilted lover’s drunken Facebook wall message. And now he wants to pretend he’s some moral voice for America. McCain wasn’t having it.

Western media cover tracks of Trump, May and Macron's war crime in Syria

With astounding double-think, the US and Britain accuse Russia of "tampering" with the alleged chemical-weapon attack site in Syria's Douma – just days after the US, UK and France barraged the county with over 100 missiles.

If anyone is guilty of tampering with the alleged crime scene, it is the NATO trio who rushed to bomb Syria just as inspectors belonging to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) arrived in Syria – invited there by the Syrian and Russian governments.

The frenzied Western media campaign to find Syria and Russia guilty of a war crime involving alleged chemical weapons is further highlighted by the reporting this week by award-winning British journalist Robert Fisk.

Fisk, who has been covering Middle East war zones for nearly 40 years, went to Douma city to file his report for The Independent. Credit goes to The Independent for publishing Fisk's investigative work.

Google Caught Red-Handed Censoring Search Results Asking Questions About Parkland Shooting

Google may be the world’s most popular search engine, but it has also been the subject of a number of accusations in recent years that it is purposefully censoring searches and influencing results. In the case of search results related to the Parkland shooting, that alleged influence is becoming even more apparent.

This week, the staff at The Free Thought Project began testing various keywords related to the Parkland shooting on different search engines, and we noticed that if our search terms were controversial, the first page of Google results was filled with entirely different information than the other search engines. The information showed on Google was often not relevant to our search, and the results always seemed to support the official narrative.

The most striking of these results came when we searched for the words “girl says 3 shooters parkland,” expecting the news footage of an eyewitness from the school saying that there were multiple shooters.

SECDEF MATTIS: WHERE’S THE PROOF?

I'm old enough to remember the Cuban missile crisis. For those few days in 1962, the family dinner table was tense and the air - the attitude - in the country was surreal. People lived and went to work, as before, but hanging over every waking moment was the full conscious realization, of every second of every day during the crisis, of the possibility that civilization could go up in mushroom clouds of radioactivity. Years later, as the full story of the Cuban missile crisis was finally known and told, it became clear that the world had made it through the crisis largely because two men - Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev and American President John F Kennedy - had stood down their countries' respective "war hawks." The real life scenario had come uncomfortably close to Stanley Kubrick's black comedy, Dr. Strangelove.

Weapons of mass distraction

With the very real prospect or war hanging over the world, the media has a special role to play in getting to the truth.

A properly functioning free press is there to speak that truth and be the backbone of a strong democracy.

But what happens when a partisan media stops holding power to account – can it still claim to serve the people or does it become a weapon of mass distraction?

Once Upon A Time Long Ago Truth Was Important

I wonder how many people, not just Americans but those in other countries, have come to the conclusion that the United States today is a less free and less aware society than the societies in the dystopian novels of the 20th century or in movies such as The Matrix and V for Vendetta. Just as people in the dystopian novels had no idea of their real situation, few Americans do either.

What are we to make of the extraordinary war crimes committed by the United States in the 21st century that have destroyed in whole or part seven countries, resulting in millions of dead, maimed, orphaned, and displaced peoples? Consider, for example, the latest Washington war crime, the illegal attack on Syria. Instead of protesting this illegality, the American media egged it on, cheering impending death and destruction.

BBC Reporter Discourages Syria Questions Due To “Information War” With Russia

In the latter half of the interview, BBC’s Annita McVeigh asked the following questions after West’s comment about Bosnia:

“We know that the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Friday, or accused a western state on Friday, of perhaps fabricating evidence in Douma or somehow being involved in what happened in Douma. Given that we’re in an information war with Russia on so many fronts, do you think perhaps it’s inadvisable to be stating this so publicly given your position and your profile? Isn’t there a danger that you’re muddying the waters?”

The Russians are coming for you through your phone, computer and internet… or so the MSM says

Vladimir Putin, the bear-riding Bond villain, is listening into your inane conversations about picking up milk from the shop or who is shagging who in the office… or so the mainstream media would have you believe.

According to sections of the British press – who, let's be honest, don't often get carried away like this – are insistent that Russia is about to launch a full-scale cyberattack on the United Kingdom… or they already have, depending on who you ask. And all because the UK, USA and France launched a missile attack against the Syrian Bashar Assad regime.

If you ask the Express, "Russia is 'SPYING' on THOUSANDS of UK households in 'RETALIATION to Syria strikes." Apparently, your home could become a part of a Russian "botnet," used to launch large scale cyber attacks. BEX ALERT - US claims on setting back Syria chemical weapons capability likely exaggerated, say experts

Some defense experts poured cold water over Pentagon claims Saturday that the U.S.-led strike set back Syria's chemical weapons program "for years"

One of the three targets in the airstrikes was a chemical and biological weapons research and production facility just outside Damascus.

Experts suggest chlorine gas or other chemical agents like mustard gas are still available from an industrial base so difficult to fully eliminate.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Because of sanctions against Syria, US companies cannot sell cancer medication to the country. The facility outside Damascus that was bombed was making domestic cancer treatments. The Syrian government toured international media through the ruins. Had there actually been chemical weapons there, they would all be dead!

Syria, chemicals weapons and missile strikes: FAKE NEWS theater at its finest… you are being subjected to an elaborate psyop

The fact that the entire legacy media is parroting the same pro-war explanation — including Fox News, Sean Hannity and CNN, in unison — is further proof that it’s all a huge lie. Somebody gassed children in Syria, but it wasn’t Assad. He’s the scapegoat, of course, and the pure bulls##t we’re hearing from the media right now sounds almost exactly like the “yellow cake” nuclear fuel hoax that former President Bush used to justify an invasion of Iraq (which was really all about controlling oil fields and had nothing to do with 9/11 or “yellow cake” nuclear fuel). Remember Weapons of Mass Destruction? It was all an intelligence hoax. The evidence was fabricated out of thin air, yet dutifully reported as “fact” by the entire media.

Sebastian Gorka Launches Emotional Tirade Against Col. Macgregor For Questioning Syria Strikes

Sebatian Gorka officially jumped the shark Friday night when he launched into an emotional, embarrassing tirade attacking decorated war veteran Colonel Douglas Macgregor for questioning the narrative on Trump's Syria strikes.

Colonel Douglas Macgregor said Friday on Laura Ingraham's show Assad launching a chemical attack when he's on the brink of victory "doesn't make any sense," and said he questions the claims he used "sarin and chlorine gas" together. "That's never happened before," Col. Macgregor said, "that's a first in the history of chemical warfare."

How Israel Postponed  WW3 (inadvertently)

In 2014 Sky owner and media mogul Rupert Murdoch won the ADL Award. The honour was clearly awarded for a reason. On occasion, Sky changes itself into a state propaganda service. The video above shows such an event . Sky crudely cut off the former commander of the British Armed Forces, Jonathan Shaw, as soon as he went ‘off script’ by suggesting that the Syrian regime couldn’t have been behind the Douma gas attack. Panic On Live TV: Shock Statements On Assad And Aleppo

Death of people is always terrible. 3 million children die of hunger every year and it is just as terrible. But no one talks about it. And of course human beings die in war. That’s not the question. Then they tell us that when the Syrian army, helped by the Russians, tries to free civilians from an occupied city, where the rebels are holding civilians hostage as human shields, would this be an aggression against the population? But it’s exactly the opposite! The rebels have been defeated and now they come in, EU, France and others, and they want a UN resolution to protect the civilian population.
