If We're Going to Reveal More Memos. . . .

Former VP Dick Cheney has requested the release of additional memos showing that torture and abuse saved American lives by preventing terrorist attacks. If the Obama Administration decides to release these memos, then I suggest they also release statistics from Iraq showing the number of foreign fighters that were recruited because of our policy of torture and abuse. It was tracked. I know because I saw the slides and because I heard captured foreign fighters state this day in and day out. The government can also release the statistics that show that 90% of suicide bombers in Iraq were these same foreign fighters. These foreign fighters killed hundreds, if not thousands, of American soldiers.

After these revelations, Americans can judge whether or not a policy of torture and abuse kept us safe.

Gitmo general told Iraq WMD search team to torture

When interviewed by the committee, Miller couldn’t remember much about that visit. But in retrospect, it is pretty clear why the ISG wasn’t “getting much” out of their detainees on WMDs in Iraq: There weren’t any. Though with enough abuse, the detainees probably would have claimed otherwise.

Dick Cheney, Torture, Iraq, and Valerie Plame

I've been reluctant to embrace suggestions that torture, Iraq, and Valerie Plame were all going to coalesce into one linked story. After all, it would be too easy for me, of all people, to argue these stories were linked. But I increasingly suspect they are.

First, let me pull together some data points

(1)Nancy Pelosi and Bob Graham are linking the non-briefings on torture with the Iraq NIE

(2)The proposal to waterboard Muhammed Khudayr al-Dulaymi

(3)Dougie Feith has said his DOD intell office helped formulate policy on detainees

(4)Dick Cheney outed Valerie Plame because of Joe--but also because of pushback at CIA

(5)Wilson's recent comments tying everything together

Bedbug infestations, Malaria and Banned pesticides that work

Boom in tiny bedbugs is causing big trouble

Since the EPA restricted the use of several effective pesticides in the 1980s, bedbugs have built resistance to the chemicals that now are on the market, said Potter, the University of Kentucky entomologist. Public education is important, he said, but the industry also needs a good insecticide.

Whichever side of the torture debate you’re on, it’s a simple matter of fact that Nancy Pelosi’s claims about what she was told and when about torture are getting far more intense media scrutiny than the CIA’s claims are.

Civil liberties groups have reacted angrily to US President Barack Obama's decision to revive military trials for some Guantanamo Bay detainees.

Mr Obama has previously denounced the Bush-era judicial system, but in a statement said new safeguards would ensure suspects got a fairer hearing.

New rules include rejecting statements obtained from harsh interrogations and limitations on using hearsay evidence.

There are still 240 detainees at the US base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

You must be angry. Because right now there is a battle about to start over whether this nation will continue to be ruled by those who lie, or whether the liars will be kicked out. Whether we will have honest government or not. Whether we will be slaves to liars, or free citizens with honorable and respectful and fair government.

Be angry. Be very angry. Hate liars. Focus your anger on them. Drive them from office and from the media. There is no other choice but permanent servitude.

Dear Corporate Media, Now That You're Connecting Torture to War, Can We Talk?

Now that you're beginning to talk about the fact that our country tortured people in order to elicit war rationales, can we talk for a minute? I'd like to point a few things out that you can verify without spending a dime on investigative reporting. First, we now know that we tortured in hopes of producing justifications for a war. Let's suppose that this was done in "good faith" and that the lies al Libi told to stop the pain were actually true. We know that the torturing preceded and exceeded the OLC memos, the OLC memos were themselves insane (I think that's the legal term for it, but you can ask your lawyers), and dozens of people were tortured until they were dead. Let's suppose none of that to be the case.

Webmaster's Commentary:

None of that would change the fundamental fact that we were not torturing for defense of this nation but for an offensive attack on another nation.

The Secret Service at Booker Elementary: The Dog That Did Not Bark

Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9-11" suggests Bush's inaction was due to his not being told to leave. But Michael Moore fails to follow that line of reasoning through to its logical conclusion; where were the people whose job it is to get the President to a place of safety in event of attack, the people who would have, SHOULD have, pulled Bush out of there, children and public appearances be damned!

The Secret Service did nothing. The dog did not bark.

If the events of 9-11 were truly a surprise to the United States Government then there is no way the Secret Service could have known there wasn't a hijacked or stolen plane heading towards Booker Elementary School that very second.

The Secret Service did nothing. The dog did not bark.

One of the Main Sources for the 9/11 Commission Report was Tortured Until He Agreed to Sign a Confession that He Was NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO READ

Four of them said they gave information only to stop the torture. Although details were redacted in all the detainees’ testimony, the tribunal permitted the inclusion of a letter from a detainee’s father in one case, citing what he claimed was American torture of his son.

This torture only stopped when Majid agreed to sign a statement that he wasn’t even allowed to read.

Indeed, as legal experts have pointed out, and 9/11 Commission Director Zelikow tacitly acknowledges, evidence based on torture is not reliable.

What Did Nancy Know?

Webmaster's Commentary:

Justin makes some very good points here, but folks, this whole issue of Nancy Pelosi is a limited hangout.

It doesn't matter when she knew, she should have known; all of Congress should have known all along. That's their job. And you are never going to convince me that the entire US Congress, with their access to information and their staffs and operating budgets, all failed to see what was obvious to we bloggers operating out here on spare change found underneath seat cushions all saw; that the war in Iraq was based on lies.

We do not have a just reason to be in Iraq. We never did.

There were no weapons of mass destruction.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11.

The only link between Al Qaeda and Iraq was a "confession" extracted under torture.

Al Qaeda appears to be a front group for CIA and Mossad.

Why are we in Iraq? Why do we remain despite the protests of millions of Americans?

Maybe you should ask these guys.

But the reality is that the entire government of the United States is complicit in the crime of lying the people of this nation into a pointless war of conquest on behalf of Israel. The evidence to justify that war was based entirely on lies, forged documents, and confessions extracted under torture.

Think the reasons to be in Afghanistan are any more honoest? Fool me once ...

Even the official report on 9-11 is based on confessions extracted under torture.

As long as the US remains in Iraq and Afghanistan, the crime is perpetuated.

As long as the US does the bidding of Israel, the crime is perpetuated.

Why are we not seeing the Obama administration act in accordance with the law, which is to end these obviously illegal wars and bring our kids home while they are still alive and healthy.

Or will Israel simply not allow it?

A founding principle of this nation is that the government rules with the consent of the governed.

I do not and never have consented to be ruled by lies and deceptions, nor do I consent to be ruled for the benefit of a foreign government.

And I never will.

How about you? Are you going to be the Good German, I mean the Good American? Are you going to lull your moral conscience to sleep by going along with lies and torture and death, abasing yourself before your masters to such an extent that to call you sheeple is an insult to sheep?

You cannot pretend you do not know what the government has become. You know it. The world knows it. The world knows you know it.

The whole world is watching what Americans, always ready to declare their love and support of human rights and the rule of law, will do now that the true nature of this horror we call the Federal Government is exposed for all to see.

Time to decide what you will do.

The Truth About Richard Bruce Cheney

First, more Americans were killed by terrorists on Cheney's watch than on any other leader's watch in US history.

Second, the fact no attack has occurred on U.S. soil since 9/11--much touted by Cheney--is due almost entirely to the nation's having deployed over 200,000 U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and not to "the Cheney method of interrogation."

Al-Libi was, after all, the 'ghost detainee' who had offered a false link between Iraq and al-Qaeda, used loudly by the Bush Administration before the war as a key justification for it, after being tortured by the CIA and Egypt, where he'd been secretly renditioned from U.S. custody at Guantanamo. He would later recant his false 'confession,' explaining that it had come about only after 17 hours of 'mock burial,' and a session of brutal beatings by his captors which followed it.

1) Isolate opinions that are not to their liking, and in our case, ones that directly cite Israeli responsibility. These opinions are "imposed" as being off topic, irrelevant, beyond the pale, etc. The opinion is then discarded very rapidly and the gatekeeper cuts to a very routine "attack the person who did that", leading to point two:

Obama's Latest Effort to Conceal Evidence of Bush Era Crimes

It's difficult to react much to Obama's complete reversal today of his own prior decision to release photographs depicting extreme detainee abuse by the United States. He's left no doubt that this is what he does: ever since he was inaugurated, Obama has taken one extreme step after the next to keep concealed both the details and the evidence of Bush's crimes, including rendition, torture and warrantless eavesdropping. The ACLU's Amrit Singh -- who litigated the thus-far-successful FOIA lawsuit to compel disclosure of these photographs -- is exactly right:

Obama reverses on releasing detainee photos

In a dramatic and high-profile reversal for his young administration, President Barack Obama is seeking to block the release of 44 photographs depicting abuse of detainees in U.S. military custody in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Justice Department had already agreed to release the photos by May 28 in response to a lawsuit, but Obama is shifting course.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a huge mistake.

Obama is now seen to be waffling, not decisive. Obama is seen as bowing down before Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham.

Contrary to the GOP position, releasing these photos does not weaken national security. The actions DEPICTED in the photos endanger national security by creating enemies of this country and convincing those enemies that it is far better to die in battle than to be captured alive.

The photos are an embarrassment. and by withholding them, Obama is not only obstructing justice, he is an accessory after-the-fact in war crimes.

In the end, by withholding these photos (and the rest of the evidence), it leaves the rest of the world free to assume (probably correctly) that far worse things were done to prisoners than just waterboarding.

Obama threatens to limit U.S. intel with Brits

The Obama administration says it may curtail Anglo-American intelligence sharing if the British High Court discloses new details of the treatment of a former Guantanamo detainee.

A court filing from the British Foreign Office released recently includes a letter from the U.S. government, identified as the "Obama administration's communication." Other information identifying the U.S. agency and author of the letter appears to have been redacted.

Congress Resists Guantánamo Releases

But the British High Court announced last week that it will reopen its judgment that details of the torture of the former Guantánamo Bay detainee must be kept secret. Clive Stafford Smith, director of the legal charity Reprieve, one of Mohamed’s attorneys, told IPS, "It is long past time that this evidence was made public. How can it be that two governments that purport to uphold the rule of law be working together to cover up crimes committed against Binyam Mohamed?" In the Batarfi case, a major factor in the decision of the Justice Department was a federal judge’s finding that the government improperly withheld important psychiatric records of a government witness who was used in a "significant" number of Guantánamo cases.

Flashback:Brzezinski, CIA, Afghanistan, Bin Laden,Muslim Terrorism

Ex-Security Chief Brzezinski's Interview makes clear:
The Muslim Terrorist Apparatus was Created by US Intelligence as a Geopolitical Weapon
Published 15-21 January 1998
"Zbigniew Brzezinski:" ... I wrote president Carter, in essence: "We now have the opportunity to provide the USSR with their Viet Nam war." Indeed for ten years Moscow had to conduct a war that was intolerable for the regime, a conflict which involved the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet Empire."

Top Nazis Planned EU-Style Fourth Reich

A writer who was collecting material for a fictional book based around the premise that top Nazis, seeking to preserve their power at the end of the second world war, conspired to create a Fourth Reich under the auspices of the European Union, actually discovered documents proving the plot to be true.

In a Daily Mail piece, Adam Lebor reveals how he uncovered US Military Intelligence report EW-Pa 128, also known as The Red House Report, which details how top Nazis secretly met at the Maison Rouge Hotel in Strasbourg on August 10, 1944 and, knowing Germany was on the brink of military defeat, conspired to create a Fourth Reich - a pan-European economic empire based around a European common market.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, I would be cautious about this one. This looks like a desperate attempt to rebrand the Nazis as a contemporary threat, rather than a relic from bygone days.

Who benefits from that idea?

G20 police ‘used undercover men to incite crowds’

An MP who was involved in last month’s G20 protests in London is to call for an investigation into whether the police used agents provocateurs to incite the crowds.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please remember: that person most loudly calling for injury to people or property in an otherwise peaceful protest, is most likely an asset of intelligence or police.

Criminalizing Criticism Of Israel

On October 16, 2004, President George W. Bush signed the Israel Lobby's bill, the Global Anti-Semitism Review Act. This legislation requires the US Department of State to monitor anti-semitism world wide.

To monitor anti-semitism, it has to be defined. What is the definition? Basically, as defined by the Israel Lobby and Abe Foxman, it boils down to any criticism of Israel or Jews.

Rahm Israel Emanuel hasn't been mopping floors at the White House.
As soon as he gets the Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009 passed, it will become a crime for any American to tell the truth about Israel's treatment of Palestinians and theft of their lands.

It will be a crime for Christians to acknowledge the New Testament's account of Jews demanding the crucifixion of Jesus.

The book "Gruesome Harvest," should be on the mandatory highschool and college reading list for history and sociology.
It is one of the few books that are available in English that address the murder of millions of non-combatant German civilians and German prisoners of war from 1944 to 1950 as a matter of deliberate allied policy not inefficient logistics as it is most often presented in school text books.

Elie Wiesel Stole Book & Identity Says Survivor

Elie Wiesel claims to have authored "Un di velt hot geshvign," in Yiddish and published it in Buenos Aires in Dec. 1955. In 1958 he published a French edition paring the original down from 800 pages. In the Preface to a new edition, Wiesel confessed he had been able "to correct and revise a number of important details." In the first English translation he is said to be "almost fifteen," while in the new edition he is fifteen when he arrived at Auschwitz.

One French professor has remarked that "La Nuit" is totally different from anything else that Elie Wiesel has written" and speculates that Francois Mauriac wrote it.

" I was very happy at the idea of meeting Lazar but when I confronted the so-caled "Eli Wiesel", I was stunned to see a man I didn`t recognize at all, who didn`t even speak Hungarian or Yiddish and instead he was speaking English in a strong French accent. Therefore our meeting was over in about ten minutes. As a goodbye gift, the man gave me his book entitled "Night" of which he claimed to be the author. I accepted the book I didn`t know at that time but told everyone there that this man was not the person he pretended to be!"

Why the Government's Attempt to Instill False Confidence Will Backfire

The government is doing its best to try to "restore confidence" in the economy. Indeed, Obama's top economics advisors believe they can fool people into believing that everything is fine, and then the economy will recover.

And for that reason, defenders of the status quo think that it is important for everyone to keep quiet about how severe the crisis really is.

Are they right?

Fox News - Pelosi: I Was Told Interrogation Methods Were Lawful - The House speaker's statement came after CIA records showed Pelosi was briefed in September 2002 on the interrogation methods and appeared to contradict her claim last month that she was never told that waterboarding or other enhanced interrogation techniques were being used.

"[...] The administration advised that legal counsel for both the CIA and the Department of Justice had concluded that the techniques were legal,'" she said.

Do The Jews Own Hollywood And The Media?

Do the Zionist Jews own Hollywood and the media? Are they using the media to mold and shape American opinion by constantly injecting Zionist propaganda and bias into news programs, movies, television shows, even children's cartoons and entertainment?

The answer is so blatantly "Yes!" that you wouldn't think these questions are even worth pursuing. But recently, the untoward comments of a patriot talk show host made me stop and rethink it. Are there people out there-even in the Patriot Movement-who really are that much in the dark, who deny Jewish influence in the media?

Afghanistan: DOD Makes Excuses, CNN Rushes to Repeat the Spin

Yesterday, while Sec. of State Clinton was expressing “deep regret” over Monday's civilian deaths in Bala Baluk, US military spokespeople were telling a different story. After similar incidents, one of the usual claims made is that the civilian casualties are inevitable since villagers are “used as human shields by the Taliban” but this time, DOD is spinning at a whole new level, claiming that the Taliban rounded up civilians and killed them with grenades – then loaded the bodies into trucks to use are an anti-American photo op. CNN quickly had Barbara Starr on air repeating the DOD version within hours of the Clinton apology.

CIA Says It Briefed Congressional Leaders

The document appears to conflict with recent statements from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was then the top Democrat on the House intelligence committee. Ms. Pelosi has said she hadn't been told that the CIA was using the technique known as waterboarding, or simulated drowning. According to the document, Ms. Pelosi was one of the first lawmakers briefed on the interrogations in 2002.

[A guy named "Stephens" emailed and alerted me to the fact that U.S. mainstream media reporters of U.S. economic data are fudging the oil price numbers. Look at this BBC graph. It clearly shows a barrel of oil trading well below $35 during the second week in February. Today oil closed in London -trading at $58.12 for a barrel of West Texas crude. That is a 68% increase since Obama started splashing his trillions in bailout money around. In the same period of time, the demand for oil as crashed, leaving oil supertankers stranded idle -but oil is up a whopping 68% ??? So much for an economic stimulus.]
