Wash. Post Doesn’t Disclose Writer Supporting Syria Strike Is A Lobbyist For Tomahawk Missile Manufacturer

The Washington Post is allowing writer Ed Rogers to push for and praise military action against Syria without disclosing that he’s a lobbyist for defense contractor Raytheon, which makes the Tomahawk missiles used in the recent strike.

Rogers is a contributor to The Washington Post’s PostPartisan blog, where he wrote an April 8 piece praising President Donald Trump for authorizing the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airbase that reportedly housed warplanes that carried out chemical attacks against civilians.

The New Shadow Brokers Leak Connects the NSA to the Stuxnet Cyber Weapon Used on Iran

Researchers have found an hidden gem inside the treasure trove of the new alleged NSA hacking tools dumped by the Shadow Brokers.

The mysterious hacking group known as Shadow Brokers came back on Friday to drop its most explosive—and damaging—dump yet, a collection of alleged hacking tools for Microsoft Windows computers.

Buried among this new treasure trove, there are several mentions of previously disclosed NSA top secret programs and software such as "STRAITBIZARRE," used to control implants remotely, and "JEEPFLEA," a project to hack the money transferring system SWIFT. These provide yet another hint that these are indeed tools stolen from the NSA's elite hacking team.

Perhaps more surprisingly, the dump also included one tool that was used in the famous Stuxnet worm, arguably the world's first digital weapon, used to hit an Iranian nuclear power facility and damage its centrifuges to slow down the

Blueprint for Dystopia

John W Whitehead’s “Is the U.S. Military Planning to Take Over America?” is based on the information produced by the Pentagon – more than likely by the CIA at Langley. If you have seen the movies, The Hunger Games, Divergent, The Maze Runner, Matrix or TV shows Colony, The Walking Dead, The Leftovers or Mr. Robot you have seen glimpses of the future as planned for by the military/surveillance industrial complex. Within each of these movies and TV programs there is a theme of haves and have nots. There is also an overarching dystopian nightmare that most of the citizens freely accept with the exception of, literally, a handful of patriots working night and day to take their country back from the thieving banking and ruling classes that own the citizens like another pet or farm animal.

'Sixty-eight children among dead' of suicide bombing attack in Syria

Nearly 70 children were among those killed when a suicide car bombing tore through buses carrying evacuees from besieged government-held towns in Syria, a monitoring group has said.

Saturday’s blast hit a convoy carrying residents from the northern towns of Fua and Kefraya as they waited at a transit point in rebel-held Rashidin, west of Aleppo.

At least 68 children were among the 126 people killed in the attack, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, updating a previous toll of 112 dead.

President Erdogan warns Turkish opposition's challenge to his referendum victory 'will be in vain' as his supporters hunt down and beat protesters

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned opposition parties that their attempts to challenge his referendum victory 'will be in vain'.

Thousands of protesters took to the street in a rally against the controversial victory, which will give President Erdogan sweeping new powers and could see him remain as president until 2029.

It comes as shocking video from last night's demonstrations appeared to show a protester being attacked by pro-Erdogan Turks. In the clip, a person is chased down by a large group, who surround them and kick them to the ground.

This morning, opposition parties complained of a number of irregularities in the voting, and were particularly incensed by an electoral board decision announced on Sunday afternoon to accept as valid ballots that did not bear the official stamp.

Remember the Housing Bubble of 2008? Meet the car loan bubble of 2017…

After nearly a decade of being able to borrow money for next to nothing, interest rates are finally beginning to creep higher. Even the relatively small increases seen so far have caused problems in the previously booming automobile industry. The size of the auto loan market has ballooned to a historic 1.1 trillion dollars, and subprime lending has once again become the norm. Teaser offers that allow people to get cars with zero money down and 84-month financing have fueled a wave of irresponsible spending. Americans’ tendency to associate success with having nice things has driven many people who can’t afford to buy a house to get the next best thing — a brand new car.

How to bring down the elephant in the room

The reason why I decided to tackle this issue today is that the forces who broke Trump in less than a month are also the very same forces who have forced him into a political 180: the Neocons and the US deep state. However, I think that these two concepts can be fused into on I would call the “Ziocons”: basically Zionists plus some rabid Anglo imperialists à la Cheney or McCain. These are the folks who control the US corporate media, Hollywood, Congress, most of academia, etc. These are the folks who organized a ferocious assault on the “nationalist” or “patriotic” wing of Trump supporters and ousted Flynn and Bannon and these are the folks who basically staged a color revolution against Trump. There is some pretty good evidence that the person in charge of this quiet coup is Jared Kushner, a rabid Zionist. Maybe. Maybe not.

A Government of Morons

Led by a man who can barely read.
Paul Craig Roberts

It has become embarrassing to be an American. Our country has had four war criminal presidents in succession.

Violence is America. America is violence. The moronic liberals blame it on gun owners, but it is always the government that is the source of violence. That is the reason our Founding Fathers gave us the Second Amendment. It is not gun owners who have destroyed in whole or part eight countries. It is the armed-at-taxpayer-expense US government that commits the violence.

America’s lust for violence is now bringing the Washington morons up against people who can commit violence back: the Russians and Chinese, Iran and North Korea.

US government 'monitored bank transfers'

A huge range of security weaknesses, said to be worth more than $2m (£1.6m) if sold on the black market, have been leaked online by a hacking group.
The tools are said to have been created by the US National Security Agency.
Accompanying documents appear to indicate it was able to monitor money flows among some Middle East and Latin American banks.
It apparently did this by gaining access to two service bureaus of the Swift global banking system.

Such a hack could have enabled the US to covertly monitor financial transactions, researchers said.

The files were released by Shadow Brokers, a hacking group that has previously leaked malware.

If genuine, it represents perhaps the most significant exposure of the US agency's files since the Edward Snowden leaks in 2013.

Paul Craig Roberts Asks "Is That Armageddon Over The Horizon?"

Authored by Paul Craig Roberts,

The insouciance of the Western world is extraordinary.

It is not only Americans who permit themselves to be brainwashed by CNN, MSNBC, NPR, the New York Times and Washington Post, but also their counterparts in Europe, Canada, Australia, and Japan, who rely on the war propaganda machine that poses as a media.

The Western “leaders,” that is, the puppets on the end of the strings pulled by the powerful private interest groups and the Deep State, are just as insouciant.

Trump and his counterparts in the American Empire must be unaware that they are provoking war with Russia and China, or else they are psychopaths.

War games

None of the above scenarios exist entirely outside the realm of possibility, but they do leave the outside observer wondering who could possibly benefit from such tangled alliances. On a whim, I happened to peek at Raytheon’s stock price. The company that manufactures Tomahawk cruise missiles is trading north of $150/share; not an all-time high, but an exceedingly healthy 20 percent leap over a year ago. With nearly 300 million shares outstanding, that’s enough money to Tomahawk everyone from Damascus to the DMZ without batting an eye. In the game of war, there’s your winner.

Tillerson In Moscow: Is World War III Back On Track?

If anyone is worried whether the prospect of a major war, which many of us considered almost inevitable if Hillary Clinton had attained the White House, is back on track, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s visit to Moscow was cold comfort. From his remarks together with his counterpart Sergey Lavrov, there is now little reason to expect any improvement in US-Russia ties anytime soon, if ever, and much reason to expect them to get worse – a lot worse.

There has been a great deal of speculation as to why President Donald Trump, who promised a break with the warmongering policies Hillary would have implemented, and which characterized the administrations of Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, would have bombed Syria’s Shayrat airbase in retaliation for a supposed chemical weapons (CW) strike without evidence or authorization from either Congress or the UN Security Council.

Webmaster's Commentary:

In looking, analytically, at the results of last year's election, it has become crystal clear precisely what, rather than who, won that election, and the victor was ...the American Deep State, whose motives, objectives, and plans do not change, regardless of who "chairs" the oval office.

Those agendas include wars with Russia and China, to destabilize the ruble and the yuan, and to protect the financial empires of both the international elite, and the American elite.

Looking at the tensions building up with Syria and Russia, I would not be surprised to see a reinstitution of the draft in this country, and sooner rather than later; but this one will be coming not only for America's sons, but for America's daughters as well.

President Trump has, since his inauguration, proven himself to be totally impotent against the American Deep State, and has done so many flip-flops on domestic and international policies to please his new masters, that it nearly gave me whiplash in watching these position reversals.

What we will see with this man's administration, will be more wars; more state surveillance at every level; more Americans dying and getting maimed for life, for the pursuit of these wars, which are always economic in nature; and more income inequality.

Trump May Send Up To 50,000 Troops To Syria

It appears that Mike Cernovich, who earlier this week wrote that Trump’s national security advisor, Gen. H.R.McMaster, was planning on sending as many as 150,000 troops to Syria, may have been right again. According to Bloomberg commentator Eli Lake, who has now made a habit of confirming Cernovich “conspiracy theories” (he did so previously with the Susan Rice scoop), Trump may be on the verge of escalating the proxy war in Syria by sending anywhere between 10,000 and 50,000 troops on the ground, and – if Cernovich is indeed correct – as much as three times more.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Syria: Watching the Jordanian Border. America’s Military Buildup

While focus regarding the Syrian conflict has shifted almost exclusively to recent US cruise missile strikes, what the strikes are designed to lay the groundwork for holds much larger implications. Particular attention should be focused on US forces operating both within Syrian territory and along Syria’s borders.

Normalizing the use of stand-off weapons like cruise missiles makes it easier and more likely that similar attacks will unfold in the near future – particularly if Syria and its allies fail to demonstrate a significant deterrence against future attacks.

The use of stand-off weapons by the United States and the routine use of airstrikes by US allies including Israel within Syrian territory will likely open the door to wider and more direct military intervention against the Syrian government.

TRUMP’S DEEPENING EMBRACE OF BAHRAIN’S REPRESSIVE MONARCHY MAY LEAD TO MORE INSTABILITY

But while the regime portrays itself to the United States as a bulwark of regional stability, the grim ferocity of its crackdown might make escalated conflict within Bahrain inevitable — and potentially even draw in outside powers like Iran. As the window for political reform closes under the Trump administration, an increasingly violent, unstable future may await Bahrain and the Gulf region as a whole.

“One way that the Trump administration is seeking to differentiate itself from its predecessor is by lowering any public criticism of human rights violations and repression in the Gulf States,” says Cole Bockenfeld, Deputy Director for Policy at the Project on Middle East Democracy. “Obama identified arms sales as a point of U.S. leverage in the Gulf and attempted to use them to exert some controls over human rights violations, whereas Trump is clearly de-linking human rights conditions from future sales.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The late President Kennedy said it best: "When peaceful revolution is impossible, violent revolution is inevitable."

Yes, I know that Bahrain is home to the US Navy's 5th Fleet; but while peaceful demonstrations have been utterly tamped down for the moment, it is only a matter of time before they will become more violent, under this repressive regime.

Not only have peaceful demonstrators been arrested, tortured to create "confessions", convicted by kangaroo courts, and stuffed into jail cells for eons; the first responders who treated them were also arrested, tortured to "create confessions", convicted by kangaroo courts, and sentenced to huge jail terms as well.

One must conclude that the head of the Al Khalifa Monarchy is a man President Trump greatly admires for his ability to sustain "order", at all costs, no matter the brutality used with which he accomplishes this.

Pyongyang warns of retaliation against US ‘military hysteria’

North Korea told the United States on Saturday to end its “military hysteria” or face retaliation as the reclusive state marked the 105th birth anniversary of its founding father with mass military parades in the capital Pyongyang.

The warning came as a US aircraft carrier and destroyers steamed into waters off the Korean Peninsular.

The arrival follows what is perceived as a shift in US military policy under President Donald Trump. Last week, the US attacked a Syrian airfield for the first time with cruise missiles and this week dropped the world’s largest non-nuclear bomb on Afghanistan. Another first.

Does this shift include North Korea is the question as tensions on the Korean peninsula have escalated over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile testing program in violation of UN Security Council resolutions. North Korea is reportedly building an intercontinental ballistic missile that could strike the United States.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All the pieces appear to be well in place; it is just a matter of time before something happens here, most likely instigated by the US military.

US government prepared to launch a pre-emptive attack against North Korea before its nuclear bomb test, 14 April, 2017

So far, as nearly as anyone can discern, that test hasn't happened yet.

However, the US government loves to initiate false flags, to get its geopolitical agendas moving.

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet against a false flag here, to be blamed on North Korea, to kick things off in the next week or so.

THE U.S. AND CHINA: WHY THE SUDDEN CONVERGENCE ON NORTH KOREA?

China has effectively subsidized and supported the North Korean state for the past 70 years as a buffer against a land invasion from South Korea. China supplies North Korea with fossil fuels and other essentials and protects it diplomatically.

But does this buffer-state strategy make sense in today's world? The threat is now from nuclear missiles and trade wars, not a land invasion. Though we cannot know what's being discussed or decided behind close doors, the high cost of subsidizing a rogue nuclear state for the now-irrelevant value of a physical buffer may finally be weighing on Chinese decision-makers.

Then there's the all-important matter of "face". The perception of status, influence and power--what's known as "face"--is the core concern in East-Asian societies. "Losing face" by being revealed as powerless and lacking influence is to be avoided at all costs.

U.S. OIL ASSETS COULD FALL INTO RUSSIAN HANDS IF VENEZUELA DEFAULTS

If Venezuela defaults on its debt obligations, it could result in Russia taking control over U.S. refining assets, leading to more Russian “control over oil and gas prices worldwide,” which would “inhibit U.S. energy security, and undermine broader U.S. geopolitical efforts.”

That is the warning from two members of Congress, Reps. Jeff Duncan (R-SC) and Albio Sires (D-NJ). The two Congressmen sent a joint letter to the U.S. Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin, requesting his attention on the matter. A bipartisan group of six U.S. Senators also requested a response from Secretary Mnuchin on the matter.

They cite the fact that Russia’s government-backed oil company, Rosneft, gave Venezuela’s state-owned oil company, PDVSA, a $1.5 billion loan. As collateral, PDVSA offered up 49.9 percent of Citgo, a subsidiary of the Venezuelan oil company. Citgo owns three refineries in the U.S., along with pipelines and retail gas stations.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, what do these Congressmen suggest, as Venezuela melts down politically, economically, and socially?!?

An invasion and occupation, perhaps, to keep these assets from falling into Russian hands, just at the point where the Venezuelan military can no longer control the anger of the Venezuelan people, who see themselves as thoroughly betrayed by their government?!?

Yes, such action would be officially horrible; but the US government has got to look at its own complicity in insuring that the Venezuelan government would ultimately fall, before it whines and complains about this possible outcome from that complicity.

Venezuela sanctioned by the US for trading with Iran, 2011

Venezuela declared a national security threat, 2015

This is yet another example of the US government having a pathological inability to think anything through to its logical conclusion.

If the US government wanted Maduro's "Bolivar Republic" to fail, they should have known that this default was going to become one of the downsides of that economic/social failure.

US SUCCESSFULLY TESTS NEW NUCLEAR GRAVITY BOMB

Clinton’s mania for death and destruction lives on in Trump: Analyst

With the firing the largest non-nuclear bomb in the US arsenal in Afghanistan, President Donald Trump has taken war to the next level, an American political analyst and activist says.

“Hillary Clinton lost the White House but her mania for death and destruction lives on in Trump,” Myles Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress, said in an interview with Press TV on Friday.

On Thursday, a GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb (MOAB), also known as the "mother of all bombs," was dropped on a tunnel complex allegedly used by Daesh (ISIL) militants in Nangarhar province by an MC-130 aircraft, operated by US Air Force Special Operations Command, according to the Pentagon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The American elections have become, in and of themselves, irrelevant, because voting Americans have only once choice; that of which of the two "deep state" candidates they will elect.

President Trump has been co-opted into the American deep state line about every action he is taking, from bombing Syria, to starting a war with North Korea.

President Trump is just a populist mask for the American Deep State in operation, which means we are looking at more wars of aggression, and more economic destruction to this country, under his watch.

Russia calls for restraint amid North Korea-US crisis

Russia has urged all sides involved in the crisis in the Korean Peninsula to show "restraint", warning of any "provocative steps" amid reports of potential military confrontation between North Korea and the United States.

"Moscow is watching with great concern the escalation of tensions on the Korean peninsula," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.

"We call for restraint from all countries and warn countries not to pursue actions that could consist of any provocative steps."

Tensions between North Korea and the United States have increased over the past weeks. Washington has been concerned by North Korea’s nuclear tests, which Pyongyang believes act as deterrence against a potential invasion by the US or South Korea.

The United States has deployed a strike group, including a large aircraft carrier, to the Korean Peninsula, and North Korea has said it is ready for war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russia, generally one of the "adults in the room in the bowels of geopolitical power" is entirely correct to be concerned.

There is a hard deadline against which President Trump, and his military advisors are working, and that is the South Korean presidential election, which happens on 9 May; that's less than a month away.

If South Korea elects a president who is pro the "sunshine policy" with North Korea, they are going to push back against any military confrontation against North Korea; that is why President Trump and his advisors, feel compelled to do any military action against North Korea sooner rather later, while South Korea is under the control of a relatively weak, "caretaker government!"

I have worked with the intelligence community in the past, and I have grave concerns about the politicization of intelligence that seems to be occurring with more frequency in recent times – but I know that the intelligence community has highly capable analysts in it. And if those analysts were properly consulted about the claims in the White House document they would have not approved the document going forward.

I am available to expand on these comments substantially. I have only had a few hours to quickly review the alleged White House intelligence report. But a quick perusal shows without a lot of analysis that this report cannot be correct, and it also appears that this report was not properly vetted by the intelligence community.

This is a very serious matter.

WikiLeaks ‘hostile intel,’ Assange & his followers ‘demons’: CIA chief goes ballistic

CIA Director Mike Pompeo called Julian Assange and his associates “demons” and accused WikiLeaks of siding with the world’s dictators and endangering the security of the “free world” with the help of states like Russia.

Speaking at an event organized by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, DC on Thursday, the former Kansas congressman went on the warpath against the whistleblower website, accusing its editor Julian Assange of being on the “wrong side of history” and seeking to harm America, freedom and democracy.

How Military Decisions Are REALLY Made

Here’s how the U.S. actually makes decisions on when to go to war:

First. Decisions are made based – not upon defense – but upon gaining economic and geostrategic advantage.

For example, America has a policy of using the military to contain China’s growing economic influence – and of considering economic rivalry to be a basis for war.

And many recent battles are really pipeline wars.

Assange Responds To CIA Director That "Produced al-Qaeda, ISIS, Iraq, Iran & Pinochet"

After being blasted by new CIA Director Mike Pompeo yesterday as a "hostile non-state intelligence service," Julian Assange has decided to respond by trolling the CIA, the "state non-intelligence agency," over its own roles in producing “al-Qaeda, ISIS, Iraq, Iran and Pinochet.”

US Vice President’s Visit to Seoul to Send ‘Clear Message’ to Pyongyang

South Korea hopes to send a clear message to its' northern neighbor during the visit of US VP Michael Pence, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cho June-hyuck said on Wednesday.

South Korea hopes to send a clear message to North Korea during the visit of US Vice President Michael Pence, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Cho June-hyuck said on Wednesday.

"As Vice President Pence's South Korean visit comes at a very sensitive time… A clear message on joint efforts in terms of the South Korea-U.S. alliance against North Korea will be sent out," the spokesman said, as quoted by the Yonhap news agency, stressing that this will be the first visit by Pence to Asia since taking office.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One thing appears to be driving the US government's rush to war against North Korea; South Koreans go to the polls on 9 May to elect a new president. At the moment, there is a caretaker, transitional government in place until the results of the election are made known.

The last thing President Trump and his military advisors want is having to deal with a duly elected South Korean President, who wants to observe the "sunshine policy" of cooperation and trade with North Korea.

That's part of what is driving this furious rush to war, which appears to me to be happening sooner rather than later.

In fact, I would not be surprised if Trump ordered an attack on North Korea right after Easter Sunday, when Vice-President Pence will be spending the day with US troops in South Korea.

US Airstrike on North Korea Risks Leading to '5-6 Chernobyl-Type Disasters'

If Washington decides to carry out a unilateral military action against Pyongyang, the attack could lead to a nuclear disaster affecting the entire Korean Peninsula, Director of the Center of South Korean Studies at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Zhebin told Sputnik.

"Approximately 30 nuclear power plants are operational in South Korea. Several of them could be destroyed even if conventional bombs and shells are used. This could lead to five-six Chernobyl-type disasters on a relatively small area of 99 square kilometers that could instantly turn into a place unsuitable for life," he explained.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is a multi-catastrophe in the making, if President Trump goes ahead with military attacks against North Korea.

I hope, if there are any adults in the room still left that he trusts as confidants, they will make these dangers known to him.

‘Riskier than striking Syria’: Beijing warns US against attacking North Korea

China has warned the US against using military force against North Korea, after a surprise redeployment of an aircraft carrier group. Washington’s regional allies said they expect it to consult with them before any action.
Tension is mounting in the region as US President Donald Trump said he would solve the “North Korean problem” with or without China’s help. The warning came amid the diversion of the aircraft carrier group ‘USS Carl Vinson’ to the Korean Peninsula and a week after Trump ordered the US Navy to fire a barrage of 59 Tomahawk missiles at a Syrian airbase as punishment for an alleged chemical attack in Idlib province.

Responding to US belligerence, Beijing called against using force against Pyongyang.

“Military force cannot resolve the issue,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told reporters in Beijing. “Amid challenge there is opportunity. Amid tensions we will also find a kind of opportunity to return to talks.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Chinese assessment in this issue is bang spot on; North Korea could, potentially, visit a world of hurt upon South Korea, should it be attacked.

I, for one, am praying for cooler, more sane heads to prevail in the White House, and that talks with the US, China, and North and South Korea be revisited, and immediately.

Such talks should offer a true, detailed peace treaty to North Korea, to replace the existing armistice, with the quid pro quo being that North Korea stops its nuclear weapons program for that to happen.

Of course, this...would be logical.

‘Dream of generations’: Poland officially welcomes US contingent of NATO’s Russia-deterrent force

Poland has officially welcomed the US soldiers who will form the backbone of NATO’s multinational battalion in the country as part of the bloc's enhanced strategy to contain Russia. President Duda said it is something Poles have "dreamt of for generations.”

The American contingent of 900 troops, who arrived in Poland in March, will serve side by side on a rotational basis with 150 British and 120 Romanians soldiers in Orzysz.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is delusional thinking, writ large, and thoroughly enabled by the US and NATO.

Why in the name of heaven would Putin want to invade Poland?!?

The short answer is, he wouldn't.

But it appears that NATO is pre-positioning troops and materials on, or close to, the Russian border, and there has to be an allegedly logical reason for this.

And their allegedly logical, ultimate reason for this is, a NATO war against Russia.

Yes, NATO, and the US government have gone utterly frothing-at-the-mouth, barking dog mad on this delusion, but that is why you are seeing this this huge expenditure in human and technical capital literally surrounding Russia at this time.

Trump Taps Salesman To Run Military Draft

Late Monday night, when many Americans were in bed, President Donald Trump quietly announced his intention to nominate former Washington state senator Don Benton (R) to be director of the Selective Service System, which operates the nation’s military draft.

This was when the problems first came to light.

They started with a White House statement that lauded Benton’s environmental record, and the three years he spent leading the Environmental Services Department in Clark County, Washington.

From the White House:

During his tenure [Benton], reduced the cost of removing hazardous waste from the waste stream while doubling citizen participation and tripling the tonnage of hazardous waste removed. Mr. Benton was also responsible for Clark County certifying more Green Schools than in any other county in Washington State.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have long predicted that further US military entanglement in other countries, in order to expropriate foreign resources to which the US government has utterly no moral right, would necessitate a return to the the draft in the US.

Unfortunately, it appears that my prediction was correct, and I see this happening sooner, rather than later.

And so of course, President Trump IS going to need a "good salesman" to "resell" the draft to the American people; otherwise, it will be met with national fury and contempt.

IF YOU'RE WONDERING WHY TRUMP CAN JUST BOMB COUNTRIES; ASK OBAMA, BUSH, & CLINTON

Fast forward a few years to peace prize laureate Barack Obama, who invaded Libya without Congressional approval in 2011. The U.S. war establishment downplayed America’s role in the Libyan war to try to justify its involvement yet conveniently missed the fact that America’s role was so integral it was deemed to be the “backbone” of any NATO offensive in the 2011 conflict.

Obama took these war powers further than any president before him. He waged covert wars and overt wars across so many countries that Bush and Clinton paled in comparison. In a six-year period, he bombed seven majority-Muslim countries. He also compiled a secret “kill list,” personally signing off on murders once a week. The weekly ceremony was aptly named “Terror Tuesdays.” During the tenure of Obama’s drone strike assassination program, he also terminated American citizens without trial.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We the People no longer have Congressional Representatives; they have become representatives of the powerful corporations which back, and shape, these ongoing, immoral and illegal wars, and profit from them immensely, as do those alleged Congressional Representatives, through outright graft and fat stock portfolios.

Congressional representatives should have their financial affairs in a blind trust, as does the President, but that will, unfortunately, will only happen when pigs discover their ability to fly.

TRUMP HAS A NEW RED LINE IN SYRIA

Trump administration officials have been making stunning admissions in the days following the recent military strike on the Syrian government.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer experienced a Freudian slip when he accidentally said America’s goal in the region was to “destabilize Syria” — before he realized what he had said and attempted to backtrack. Then, he accidentally said it again. And just one day before Secretary of State Rex Tillerson left for Moscow, he told reporters the U.S. would come to the defense of innocent civilians “anywhere in the world.” Spicer elaborated on Tillerson’s sentiments.

“When you watch babies and children being gassed and suffer under barrel bombs, you are instantaneously moved to action,” the press secretary said. “I think this president’s made it very clear that if those actions were to continue, further action will definitely be considered by the United States.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sean Spicer and President Trump, a word here.

Apparently for you both, some suffering of children is "more equal" than others, because it can be used toward a specific geopolitical end.

So let's talk about about the US government-enabled Saudi assassinations of Yemeni children, shall we, as uncomfortable for you both as that may be, as this is the horror inflicted on children you don't want the world to see.

The Saudi military is routinely killing and maiming Yemeni children.

Images: dead and maimed Yemeni children from Saudi air strikes

The Saudis have blockaded Yemeni ports, to prevent food from getting in, so Yemeni children are dying the slow, painful death of malnutrition.

Images: Yemeni children dying of malnutrition, due to Saudi port blockades

And lastly, there has been an enormous spike in cancers, still births, and birth defects in Yemen, courtesy of the Saudis using depleted uranium weapons, which they got from either the US or the UK.

Images: Saudi military using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen

Images: Yemeni children with severe birth defects (warning:severely graphic)

So gentlemen, I have shown you, and the rest of our readership, the images the US government and military DO NOT WANT then American people to see; those images include the killing and maiming of Yemeni children from Saudi bombing runs; the face of slow starvation through malnutrition, caused by Saudi port blockades; images of the Saudis using depleted uranium weapons in Yemen; and the effects of depleted uranium on Yemeni children, suffering severe birth defects because of their having been poisoned in the womb by depleted uranium.

So please collectively forgive me if your "for the children" pitch rings more than hollow in Syria, as your "excuse" to bomb the military installation there.

It was simply geopolitically expedient to exploit the images of dead Syrian children you wanted the world to see, rather than the images of dead and dying Yemeni children you do not want the world to see.

Start of BRICS Gold-Backed Trade Pushing Deep State Desperation at All-Time High

It appears that the real reason why has Trump capitulated to the Deep State so quickly is the final BRICS leadership’s decision to start the dumping of the fiat dollar in matters of mutual trade and economic cooperation between the BRICS member countries.

This measure puts Donald Trump’s most ambitious campaign promise of “Making America Great Again” through economic recovery and military upgrade in grave danger, as the BRICS Alliance starts requiring the US government to pay for BRICS resources with real, hard currencies only.

‘AL-QAEDA IS ON OUR SIDE IN SYRIA’ — EMAIL SHOWS CLINTON KNEW US WORKED WITH TERRORISTS

Jacob Jeremiah Sullivan is an American policymaker and a senior policy advisor to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 election campaign, who’s been seemingly attached to Clinton’s hip for nearly a decade.

Sullivan was widely rumored to be a front-runner for the position of U.S. National Security Advisor under a Hillary Clinton administration before she lost to Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential Election. He was also Deputy Assistant to the U.S. President Barack Obama and National Security Advisor to U.S. Vice President Joe Biden.

He also served as the Director of Policy Planning at the U.S. Department of State, and as Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He was deputy policy director for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential primary campaign and a member of the debate preparation team for Barack Obama’s general election campaign.

For all intents and purposes, it is safe to call Sullivan a well-connected D.C. insider.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, there you have it; the US government has been working with, supporting, training, and funding Al-Qaeda in Syria for years.

And Hillary Clinton's State Department was complicit in these actions.

Comey OKs new TV series to boost FBI’s image

FBI Director James Comey said he let cameras into the New York FBI offices to film a new television series in hopes that he might build trust with the American people.

“I worry sometimes that people don’t know us,” Comey said in explaining why he green-lighted “Inside the FBI: New York,” a new television documentary by Dick Wolf of “Law & Order” fame and documentarian Marc Levin.

“We have to care what people think of us,” Comey said at a showing of the new series at the Newseum in Washington, DC. “The faith and confidence of the American people is the bedrock,” he said.

“We did a lot last year that confused people,” Comey admitted, speaking of the presidential election.

But he insisted that the fault was not the FBI’s — it was the American people’s.

“Because they are seeing the world … they see the world through sides,” he said. “If you see the world through sides, the FBI doesn’t make a lot of sense to you.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

FBI Director Comey, a word, please: there can be utterly no trust in who you are and what you do unless and until the Clinton Cartel is tried for its crimes, and is doing hard time for them.

And what in heaven's name do you mean when you say "the fault was not the FBI’s — it was the American people’s."?!?

I beg to differ, sir. Americans saw your organisation allow a political criminal with a "dead bodies list" to skate, scott free, when the potential criminal charges against her were plain, and recognisable enough, to warrant prosecution.

POLICE CREATE NEW 'DOMESTIC VIOLENCE' WATCH LIST WHICH EXEMPTS OFFICERS

The American police state is classifying alleged domestic violence offenders in a school grading system from A-D. A being the most likely to re-offend and D being the least likely to re-offend.

According to the Hollywood Police Department (HPD) their 'Offender Focused Domestic Violence Initiative' (OFDVI) program is the first of its kind in Florida.

"Domestic incident offenders are classified based upon their predisposition for violence. The initial domestic-related incident, along with the totality of the offender’s criminal history sets the classification in which offenders are ranked. The classification for domestic offenders spans from placement on the A, B, C or D list. A large focus is placed on Class A-list offenders, who are the most violent offenders with the highest propensity for violence." (For more information about OFDVI click here.)

Webmaster's Commentary:

Domestic violence is a mental health problem, and should be treated as such.

But the fact that this policy in Florida exempts police officers should be frightening to the families of those officers.

And I have to wonder; how many members of Florida's police members are on the anti-depressant drugs which have been documented to cause such hostile behaviour?!?

IRS Wrongfully Seized Millions from Innocent Americans

AGENTS WERE WRONG 91% OF THE TIME

"The rights of some individuals and businesses were compromised," the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGA) said of a bungled Internal Revenue Service effort to "dismantle criminal enterprises."

Citing regulations under the Bank Secrecy Act, which requires reporting of bank transactions in excess of $10,000, IRS agents seized $17.1 million from Americans they believed were involved in criminal activity.

According to a recent report from TIGA, agents were wrong 91 percent of the time based on investigations of 278 of the seizures conducted by the watchdog.

"Most people impacted by the program did not appear to be criminal enterprises engaged in other alleged illegal activity," TIGTA said in a statement. "The report also concludes that the rights of some individuals and businesses were compromised in these investigations."

Before attacking North Korea, please try everything else

By Grant Newsham April 12, 2017 12:07 PM (UTC+8)

The US has spent the past 25 years trying to concoct a formula that will get North Korea to relinquish its nuclear weapons program, while hoping China would help bring Pyongyang to heel.

With Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s recent statement that years of negotiations with North Korea have failed, it seems an American military response is no longer unthinkable — and in some quarters is seen as inevitable.

But the US still hasn’t played all its cards, and ought to before rolling the dice with a military strike. First, some stark reminders are in order.

Forced vaccination will never be the right course of action. Vaccines do come with risks, regardless of whether or not mainstream medicine puppets are willing to recognize it — facts are facts. To make matters worse, many vaccines contain toxic adjuvants such as aluminum salts, which are known to cause a wide range of deleterious effects.

This issue will not be going away anytime soon, and as more people wake up to the dangers of vaccines, we will likely begin to see more court-mandated vaccination cases.

Court Rules Facebook Can’t Challenge Demands for User Data (and Can’t Tell Users)

Facebook is not exactly the champion of user privacy, but at least in one case, the company did go to bat for its users. Facebook took New York law enforcement to court over secret warrants that allowed authorities to collect user data.

Unfortunately, Facebook just lost their case in the New York courts. The court ruled that only users themselves, not facebook, can challenge law enforcement demands for their data.

The only problem is, the court orders usually come with a gag order as well. Facebook is not allowed to tell their users that law enforcement is taking their data. And Facebook is not allowed to challenge these orders on behalf of their users.

So in true kangaroo court fashion, the only people able to challenge the government are those forbidden from being told that the government is investigating them. Well isn’t that convenient for prosecutors.

“She then put her hands inside my bra and panties and groped my private parts with the front, not the back, of her gloved hand. Tulsi Gabbard: ‘We Need to Learn from Iraq and Libya’ Before Intervening in Syria

On Tuesday, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) wrote an email to The Hill, pushing back against criticism of her criticism of President Donald Trump’s missile strike in Syria.
The Hill chopped the headline down to “We Need to Learn From Iraq,” even though what Gabbard actually said was, “We need to learn from Iraq and Libya,” questioning not only President George W. Bush’s policy in Iraq but the Obama administration’s intervention in Syria.

The main thrust of Gabbard’s email to The Hill is an argument against military intervention. She evidently used the email to lay it out in a clean and simple fashion.

“We need to learn from Iraq and Libya – wars that were propagated as necessary to relieve human suffering, but actually increased human suffering many times over,” she wrote.

Syria air strikes: Russia sends more warships to Assad-controlled port of Tartus

In the wake of the US air strike on a Syrian airbase last week Moscow is sending more ships to Syrian regime controlled waters, a US defence official has said.

Two Steregushchiy-class corvettes, an ocean tug and a fleet oiler left Kaliningrad over the weekend, the unnamed official confirmed to USNI News on Monday.

The Baltic Navy vessels are expected to arrive in the eastern Mediterranean in the next five days and will probably be based in Tartus, which is home to a Russian naval base.

Why U.S. Troops May Fight Alongside al-Qaeda in Yemen

AQAP’s fighters will play a role in the coming battle for the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah. The port, which is controlled by the Houthis, is the lifeline for northwest Yemen. Yemen imports in excess of 90 percent of its food. Before the war, as much as 70 percent of Yemen’s imports passed through Hodeidah. Recognizing this, Saudi Arabia bombed the port and destroyed its cranes. Despite the bombing of the port and Saudi Arabia’s naval blockade, desperately needed humanitarian supplies and food continue to trickle in through the port.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The fact that President Trump appears to be doubling down, through US complicity, with Saudi war crimes does not make me at all happy right now.

Also, the US military has "liberated" two Yemeni Islands,Socotra and Masirah, on which they are building two huge naval facilities from which the US can project power into the Persian gulf. As reported by debka.com, then copied by abundandhope.net in 2012:

Sources estimate from the current pace of arrivals on the two island bases, that 50,000 US troops will have accumulated on Socotra and Masirah by mid-February. They will top up the 50,000 military already present in the Persian Gulf region, so that in less than a month, Washington will have some 100,000 military personnel on the spot and available for any contingency. While quietly casting lines to draw Tehran into talks on their nuclear dispute, President Barack Obama is reported exclusively by DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s military and Washington sources to have secretly ordered US air, naval and marine forces to build up heavy concentrations on two strategic islands – Socotra, which is part of a Yemeni archipelago in the Indian Ocean, and the Omani island of Masirah at the southern exit of the Strait of Hormuz. Socotra is situated 80 kilometers east of the Horn of Africa and 380 kilometers southeast of the Yemeni coastline. It lies athwart the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. A military base there is in a position to oversee the shipping moving in and out of those strategic naval waterways. Lushly verdant, Socotra is approximately 120 kilometers long by 40 kilometers wide. Its population of 55,000 has its own distinct language and culture. Since 2010, the US has been quietly building giant air force and naval bases on Socotra with facilities for submarines, intelligence command centers and take-off pads for flying stealth drones, as part of a linked chain of strategic US military facilities in the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf. The Socotra facilities are so secret that they are never mentioned in any catalogue listing US military facilities in this part of the world, which include Jebel Ali and Al Dahfra in the United Arab Emirates; Arifjan in Kuwait; and Al Udeid in Qatar – all within short flying distances from Iran. Additional US forces are also being poured into Camp Justice on the barren, 70-kilometer long Omani island of Masirah, just south of the Hormuz entry point to the Gulf of Oman from the Arabian Sea. US military facilities were established there after the signing of an access agreement with Oman in 1980. Up to 100,000 US troops present by early March For the new buildup on Socotra, Washington had to negotiate a new deal with Yemen's ousted ruler Ali Abdullah Saleh. Injured in an assassination attempt last year, Saleh demanded permission to travel to the United States for medical treatment. The Obama administration first refused, then relented when Saleh made it his condition for consenting to additional troops landing on the island. Western military sources familiar with the American buildup on the two strategic islands tell DEBKA-Net-Weekly that, although they cannot cite precise figures, they are witnessing the heaviest American concentration of might in the region since the US invaded Iraq in 2003. Then, 100,000 American troops were massed in Kuwait ahead of the invasion. Today, those sources estimate from the current pace of arrivals on the two island bases, that 50,000 US troops will have accumulated on Socotra and Masirah by mid-February. They will top up the 50,000 military already present in the Persian Gulf region, so that in less than a month, Washington will have some 100,000 military personnel on the spot and available for any contingency. US air transports are described as making almost daily landings on Socotra and Masirah. They fly in from the US naval base of Diego Garcia, one of America's biggest military facilities, just over 3,000 kilometers away. The US military presence in the region will further expand in the first week of March when three US aircraft carriers and their strike groups plus a French carrier arrive in the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea: They are the USS Abraham Lincoln, USS Carl Vinson, USS Enterprise and the Charles de Gaulle nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. A fourth US carrier will be standing by in the Pacific Ocean, a few days' sailing time from the water off Iran's coast.

That construction was started 5 years ago; I am quite sure it is completed by now, and quite operational.

Mattis: Navy Strike Group Not Headed to North Korea for Any Reason

With a US carrier strike group steaming toward North Korea, and top administration officials talking up the need for the US to “solve” North Korea, Russian officials today echoed a concern shared by a lot of people, that the US is about to unilaterally attack North Korea.

Defense Secretary James Mattis sought to downplay those concerns, however, insisting the carrier strike group is just in the western Pacific in general, and isn’t speeding rapidly toward the Korean Peninsula for any particular reason, and has nothing in mind when it gets there.

It’s hard to imagine that this highly publicized move is just a whim, and even harder to believe that it is just coincidental with President Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson both talking up the idea of unilateral US action against North Korea to end its nuclear weapons program.

Webmaster's Commentary:

General Mattis, a word please.

Everything you are saying, regarding the trajectory of those ships apparently headed toward North Korea, makes utterly no sense, relative to Secretary of State Tillerson's and President Trump's recent statements regarding North Korea.

Apr 12 09:49

Russia Worried US Will Attack North Korea

With Secretary of State Rex Tillerson visiting Russia, Russia’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement confirming that they have a lot of problems with US foreign policy that they intend to bring up, and while Syria had long been expected to dominate that list, the statement insisted North Korea was Russia primary concern right now.

The statement said Russia was “extremely worried” that the United States might follow through on recent talk of imposing a unilateral military solution on the Korean Peninsula, saying they want to understand US intentions and how they are reconciled with the UN Security Council’s own statements on denuclearization in Korea.

With US warships heading to the Korean Peninsula, the Trump Administration has been treating North Korea as a bilateral issue between the US and China, insisting that either China will agree to “solve” North Korea for them, or that the US will do so itself.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russia has every right to be worried, not only about a decap strike against Kim Jung On and his nuclear facilities, but what happens with North Korea in the aftermath of such a strike.

And I would suggest, politely to President Trump, that old, but true dictum holds here; those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

And living on a hunk of rock with North Korea could potentially target and successfully hit, with one of their missiles, I am worried as well.

UN Security Council to vote on West's draft Syria resolution Wednesday

The resolution is a slightly revised version of previous similar document, which condemns the use of chemical weapons in Syria. The document also demands that Damascus hand over all information on flights on the day of the incident to the Joint Investigative Mechanism of the UN and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and provide access to the military bases from which strikes against Khan Sheikhoun could be carried out. The resolution also threatens Syria with sanctions and the use of military force under Chapter VII of the UN Charter.

Last week, Russia described the document as "inadmissible" and prepared its own resolution, which envisages a full-scale investigation on the ground by UN and OPCW experts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I do not see Russia and China signing off on this, any more than the resolution they have already rejected.

Americans Need To Know Trump’s Endgame For Syria, Duckworth Tells Constituents

Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) challenged President Donald Trump to state his administration’s “endgame” for military involvement in Syria following the U.S. military’s missile strike on a Syrian air field last week.

Speaking to a full house of constituents at a town hall in the Chicago suburb of Palatine on Tuesday night, Duckworth was asked what was accomplished with the first direct assault on the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad and what the long-term strategy would be.

Duckworth said that she wants to know, too ? and that Trump needs to provide those answers quickly.

“The Trump administration needs to come forward and [state] its goal. Come forward and tell us the truth,” Duckworth responded.

Following the town hall, constituents like Lisa Goranson, 58, and Sue Walton, 80, were troubled by Trump’s sudden shift on involvement in Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I whole-heartedly agree with Senator Duckworth on this issue.

What we have seen, coming from the White House on this issue, appears to have been complete and utter confusion, consummated by the illegal strike against a Syrian military base last week, against a sovereign country with which the US government is not (allegedly) at war.

President Trump's policies in Syria appear about as clear as mud right now.

I would like President Trump to tell me how, if in fact, regime change in Damascus is his goal, he is going to accomplish this without using either US boots on the ground, or a decap strike against al Assad, which most probably would mean war with Russia.

There are only two things I know for certain here; Al-Assad is not going to leave his position as the country's President willingly, and should the US go ahead with some kind of assassination strike, Russia will respond militarily.

Carter Page: FBI reportedly obtained FISA warrant to monitor ex-Trump adviser

The FBI obtained a court order last summer that granted them permission to monitor the communications of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, the Washington Post reported Tuesday.

The so-called FISA warrant was granted as part of an ongoing investigation into possible links between Russian officials and members of the Trump campaign, the paper reported.

In a statement to Fox News, Page said he was "excited the truth is coming out."

EX-TRUMP ADVISER CARTER PAGE RIPS 'FALSE NARRATIVE' ON RUSSIA COLLUSION

"I have done nothing wrong. I have no concerns," Page added. "I was an obvious target because no one has been more thoughtful and methodical in their criticism of the Clinton/Obama administration foreign policy."

CONFIRMED: FBI Spied On Trump Aide Before Election

The FBI obtained a secret court order this past summer to conduct surveillance and monitor communications of Carter Page, an associate of then-candidate Donald Trump.

The agency had presented evidence demonstrating why they had reason to believe Page was acting as a Russian agent. That evidence involved contacts he allegedly had with a Russian intelligence operative in 2013, a case in which Page was never charged.

The Trump aide indicated the reasoning behind the surveillance would be of much greater interest than any Russian narrative the government is seeking.

“It will be interesting to see what comes out when the unjustified basis for those FISA requests are more fully disclosed over time,” Page said.

WHITE HELMETS HANDLE DEADLY TOXIC “SARIN GAS” WHILE LIGHTING UP CIGARETTES (VIDEO)

The Duran recently posted a bombshell study from the Swedish NGO Doctors for Human Rights (SWEDHR), that shows how the White Helmets murder babies, not save babies like Netflix and George Clooney would have you believe.

Now we can see the White Helmets pretend to handle deadly toxic sarin gas, which we are sure will sent to John McCain Labs Inc., where Assad and Russia will be found guilty of launching a chemical strike on “beautiful babies”.

We wonder, upon watching forensics experts/chemical weapons investigators/freedom fighters/medical doctors/first responders, the White Helmets, why some guys have masks, others do not.

Why some guys have gloves, others do not.

Some White Helmets jihadists are even hanging around the sarin gas lighting up a smoke.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So much for that documentary about them which won an Oscar this year. As reported by Rick Sterling at consortiumnews.com:

The Netflix movie “The White Helmets” may win an Oscar in the “short documentary” category at the Academy Awards on Sunday. It would not be a surprise despite the fact that the group is a fraud and the movie is a contrived infomercial. The “White Helmets” symbol, expropriating the name of “Syria Civil Defense.” Awarding “The White Helmets” an Oscar would fit with the desire of Hollywood to appear supportive of “human rights,” even if that means supporting a propaganda operation to justify another bloody “regime change” war in the Middle East. Much of what people think they know about the White Helmets is untrue. The group is not primarily Syrian; it was initiated by British military contractor James LeMesurier and has been heavily funded (about $100 million) by the U.S., U.K. and other governments. The White Helmets are not volunteers; they are paid, which is confirmed in a Al Jazeera video that shows some White Helmet “volunteers” talking about going on strike if they don’t get paid soon.

Remember what happened to James Cameron's film "Avatar",which was one of the most brilliant anti-war movies ever made?!?

When it was considered for the Oscar, the Oscar went instead to "Hurt Locker", which praised war and combat as the utterly right thing for Americans to be doing.

Hollywood, as an institution, is, and has always been, a "war whore", and always obeys its marching orders to glorify anything that supports the US government's "divine right" to conduct wars any time, any where, and for any reason it sees fit, and never question the rationale for fighting those wars.

DECLASSIFIED CIA DOC REVEALS PLAN TO DESTROY SYRIA FOR OIL PIPELINE, PREDICTS CURRENT CRISIS

Geostrategically-crucial Syria has been at the center of a decades-long plot by the United States to depose the sovereign government and install one supportive of goals in the Middle East must be revisited — and quickly — before the beating of war drums drowns out the truth of our government’s recently-espoused mission.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly castigated President Bashar al-Assad for ordering a gruesome mass killing of civilians with chemical weapons in Khan Sheikhoun. This accusation, unsubstantiated due to lack of investigation, sparked a bolstering of support for the Syrian regime from both Moscow and Tehran.

Were the account of an ordered chemical weapons attack to prove unassailably true — and Assad isn’t exactly known for being a gentle despot — Trump could have handily earned a congressional green light and perhaps approval from NATO to obliterate Syrian Arab Army forces responsible. Perhaps.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive my cynicism, but it appears that, for this President, some dead children (those killed by the gassing in Syria, the bodies of whom could be used for propaganda purposes) are "more equal" than other dead children ( those killed and maimed in Yemen from US-enabled Saudi bombing runs; those dying of malnutrition in Yemen, due to the US-enabled Saudi port blockade) and those dying of exposure to depleted uranium in the womb, used by Saudi Arabian troops, and being born with massive birth defects.

That the US government is massively complicit in Saudi war crimes in Yemen, while President Trump screams about gassed children in Syria, makes the hypocrisy ring all the more hollow, to the ears of thinking people all over this planet.

Former Trump Adviser Slams Surveillance Following Reports of Warrant Probing Russian Ties

A one-time foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump's presidential campaign lashed out at the "Clinton/Obama regime" after a report published Tuesday said he was the subject of a secret surveillance warrant seeking information about his possible collaboration with Russians to manipulate the 2016 election.

All this spying on Trump and his campaign was justified with this claim of Russian interference. So, did they actually find anything? Apparently not, yet they are still pushing this Russian interference story with as much evidence as the claim that Assad gassed his own people!

Behind Trump’s Syria Turnabout

Trump came into office touting his “America First agenda,” disdaining NATO, and asking “Why is it a bad thing to get along with Russia?” He told us he abjured “regime change” and held up Libya as an example of bad policy. Now he’s turned on a dime, bombing Syria, and welcoming tiny (and troubled) Montenegro into NATO. His intelligence agencies are even accusing Russia of having advance knowledge of the alleged chemical attack in Syria (although the White House disputed that after it got out). And all this in the first one hundred days!

How did this happen? It’s easy to explain, once you understand that there is no such thing as foreign policy: all policy is domestic.

Anaconda MaltLiquor’s sharp seven minutes' analysis and context of President Trump’s claims to use war on Syria to “protect children”:

History of US Presidents lying about “care for children”as they watch their slow gruesome deaths in the millions

President Obama feigned care for children to argue for war on Syria, despite Orwellian neglect of ~20,000 innocent children dying daily from preventable poverty promised by “former” colonial and “developed” nations’ “leaders” to end since 1969. The total deaths of children since those reneged promises never mentioned by complicit corporate media is somewhere over 600 million; more than twice the population of the United States.

Some history:

‘Former’ colonial nations NOT ‘heartbroken’ over Paris 136 innocent victims because they allow daily gruesome deaths of 20,000 children from preventable poverty they’ve promised to save since 1969

Iran the Destabilizer: A world in turmoil, thank you Mr. Trump!

The real Donald Trump has been exposed. The man who promised a sensible and non-interventionist Middle Eastern policy and a reset with Moscow has now reneged on both pledges. His nitwit United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley has directly linked Russia and Syria for punishment by the omnipotent Leader of the Free World lest anyone be confused.

The unconscionable attack on Syria based on the usual unsubstantiated allegations has shifted the playing field dramatically, with the “new sheriff in town” apparently intent on proving he is a real man who can play hardball with the rest of them. Last week Syria was blamed by all and sundry in the Establishment for an alleged chemical weapons attack just two days after the White House backed away from the Obama Administration demand that President Bashar al-Assad be removed.

President Trump, with respect, start ruthlessly purging the U.S. general officer corps

Last time we discussed your refusal to abide by the Constitution’s hard-and-fast war-making provision, a decision that merits — as it did for most of your post-1945 predecessors — impeachment proceedings. Waging war in the manner you did in Syria is the work of an absolute monarch or a dictator, not that of a popularly elected president of this republic.

Today, we must discuss a topic that has been covered in this space on multiple occasions; namely, the need for you to immediately purge — via forced retirement — scores of your general officers. The American fetish for treating these officers as god-like wonders is baseless, and must be curtailed to the greatest possible extent. Among the most obvious reasons they merit forced retirement are:

–They and their predecessors have not won a war since 1945. In truth, they have won nothing in the most war-filled 72 years in American history.

3-minute Star Wars video requests UNICEF donations to save ~20,000 Earth children dying daily from preventable poverty WHILE corporate media ongoingly distracts from ‘former’ colonial nations’ reneged UN promises since 1969 to save ALL children

We the People notice powerful organizations asking for our donations to “save the children;” in retail stores, charity organizations, and now from Star Wars:

The lie of omission is that so-called “developed” and “former” colonial nations have promised the end of all poverty since 1969, with their reneged promises since then causing slow, horrific deaths of over 600 million children; roughly twice to the total population of the US (perhaps closer to one billion; documentation of poverty facts here).

Consider for a moment what could possibly be more important to report upon, possible motivation to hide this ongoing reneged promise, and why US "leaders" give rhetoric to "care about children" while omitting the greatest need for care.

Corporate media know the facts, and choose to lie

Video: All Out War, Confrontation with Russia? The U.S. is Pushing Towards a “Non-Peaceful Solution” of the Syrian Conflict

Following the incident, Moscow suspended the memorandum of understanding on flight safety in Syria with the United States, suspended work of a hotline with the Pentagon and announced that it will take additional measures to strengthen the Syrian air defense capabilities in case of possible attacks against the country.

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, President Vladimir Putin described the US attack as an act of “aggression against a sovereign nation,” which was carried out based on a “made-up pretext.”

The meeting of the United Nations Security Council on the issue showed further deep divisions among sides involved in the conflict. There's a terrifying sense of deja vu as the Generals take over the White House and guide us towards another war (despite no-one knowing if it was Assad who used sarin on those civilians) says JOHN R BRADLEY

For those of us who covered the build-up to the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003, there is a terrifying sense of deja vu as another 'Coalition of the Willing' gears up to launch a potentially devastating wave of shock-and-awe in the Middle East.

That is certainly one worst-case interpretation of the comments made yesterday by the US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley.
Confirming a remarkable U-turn in the Trump administration's stance on Syria, she said that removing President Bashar al-Assad was now a 'priority'.

Fourteen years ago we heard similar shrill calls from political leaders for regime change in Iraq, a country that – whether or not it used chemical weapons on its own people – posed no discernible threat to the national security of our own.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The fact that the US will most probably be going to war with Russia over Syria, which didn't happen in the Iraq war, is, as Josh Gates, host of the "Destination Unknown" series frequently states, officially horrible.

The spectre of the US military going to war against the Russian military, which:

1. Does conscript
2. Has better functioning weapons than does the US military
3. Has the money to pursue such a war
4. Has the manufacturing to feed the war machine

should be pretty terrifying to anyone with family and friends in the military.

Why the World Should Fear Deep State Psychopath H.R. McMaster

The CIA/NSA political hit on General Michael Flynn appeared at first to have been a warning shot against Trump, and the Congress’ (((bipartisan))) support of replacement H.R. McMaster for the role of National Security Advisor has us falsely assuming that the duly-elected Executive Branch would retain control of him, as the Constitution commands.

But that assumption is increasingly proving false. There is no doubt in my mind that President Donald Trump is being held under duress; that is a theory and I don’t have hard evidence for, but it’s clear that overnight he has gone from a roaring, defiant lion, to script reading pussy-cat. The empowerment of Kushner and Cohn, the increasing isolation of Bannon, and a 180 on policy all come shortly after McMaster’s ascension.

Webmaster's Commentary:

General Mc. Master, a word, please: I will continue to link to rt.com; sputniknews.com; presstv.com; and farsnews.com (two Russian, and two Iranian English blogs) until US law forbids it.

And THAT is a Supreme Court case, against the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, I would love to see argued!!

The American people now understand that you are pushing President Trump for a ground invasion of Syria (which will, of course, most generally mean war with Russia) Mc Master working covertly with Petraeus to put 150,000 ground troops in Syria, and I feel urged to caution you and our President that this is nothing short of foaming-at-the-mouth, barking-dog madness!!

You, of all people, should know that the US military doesn't have the weaponry; the troop strength; the money; or the manufacturing to ensure a positive outcome to a conventional war against Russia.

In order to win a conflict, a country has to be on the right side of history; and with Syria, and Russia's involvement in assisting the Syrian government against the jihadists, the US just isn't, and you should know that as well.

Is Sunday the End of the Road for Turkey as a Secular Country?

Turkey has long been a shining (only) example of how a Muslim majority country can exist as a progressive society with freedoms, rights and a secular rule of law. But slowly, as power has become more centralized in the hands of President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, the liberty and secularism that made Turkey so unique has been eroded. The culmination of this is coming on Sunday as Turks go to the polls to vote on a referendum to change the very system of government from a Parliamentary Democracy, to a bastardized Presidential Dictatorship.

It's not just Syria. Trump is ratcheting up wars across the world

onald Trump’s missile strikes on Syria have attracted worldwide attention (and disgraceful plaudits) in recent days. But much less airtime is being given to his administration’s risky and increasingly barbaric military escalations on several other fronts across the world.

Let’s put aside, for the time being, that the Trump administration openly admits it has no clue what it is going to do in Syria next. Or that key members of Congress and in the administration are clearly eager for “regime change” in Syria with no plan for the aftermath. And the fact that hardly anyone seems to care that Russia’s former president Dmitry Medvedev said over the weekend that Syrian strikes put the US “on the verge of a military clash with Russia” – a nuclear power with thousands of warheads.

Donald Trump's first 100 days as president – daily updates

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is precisely the kind of outcome I had hoped a Trump presidency would avoid.

My sense of betrayal by these actions on the part of the President, is searingly intense, and beyond my ability to fully articulate it.

And the sense I have of the future, for this country and the world, is Biblically apocalyptic in nature.

Because of Bernie Sanders getting cheated by the DNC for the Democratic nomination for President, American voters had only one choice: that of the war party and the American deep state.

Tillerson: US Will Punish Crimes ‘Anywhere in the World’

Donald Trump the presidential candidate made it very clear that his view was that the United States can no longer police thje world. President Trump, by contrast, appears to laying out US foreign policy to do that now more than ever.

In the ultimate expression of the “world’s policeman” stance of the US, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson declared today that the United States was prepared to punish all those “who commit crimes against the innocents anywhere in the world.”

The context of Tillerson’s comments was a speech at a memorial to a Nazi massacre, but the broadness of the declaration clearly was intended to go far beyond simply being a reiteration of the US justification for intervention against Nazi Germany in World War 2.

For one, the comment comes just a few days after the United States attacked Syria, over US allegations of a “gas attack” carried out by the Syrian government, but before any sort of international investigation could be carried out on the claims.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So the United States government has just declared itself "Judge, jury, and executioner..." for the entire world?!?

And NOT the US's military might to further US government's geopolitical agenda?!?

I'd laugh at Tillerson's statement...if it wasn't so hard to stop laughing these days!!

Tillerson Warns Russia: Assad Rule ‘Coming to an End’

On the eve of his visit to Moscow, and in the wake of a Kremlin announcement he won’t be meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at all, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson continued to lash Russia publicly for backing the Syrian government, insisting that President Bashar Assad’s rule is “coming to an end.”

Whether thus amounts to a statement of US policy is unclear, as US officials have been send very mixed messages on their stance on Syria, after attacking them last week. Tillerson himself insisted just days ago that Assad’s future was still up to the Syrians, despite having announced before that that the US was in the process of implementing regime change.

Tillerson went on to predict that if Russia refused US demands to abandon Assad, they would effectively become “irrelevant” in the Middle East. This echoes other US officials’ demands that Russia unconditionally abandon Assad, amid ongoing allegations of Russian complicity in a putative gas attack.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I frankly think these threats to Russia are for domestic, rather than Russian, consumption.

Russia is highly unlikely to unwind its position of total support for the Al Assad regime; Tillerson understands that.

But these threats/statements seem to me to be" engineered" to "groom" the US public into accepting a war against both Syria and Russia.

The harsh reality that such a move would be one of the most ham-fistedly pig-headedly stupid thing for the US government to do, and appears to be an act of desperation on the cusp of madness, in a futile attempt to keep the US economy from crashing into the death spasms it can most probably not avoid, given the current "bubbles" in the system which cannot exist for very much longer.

and BTW, look for the draft to be reinstituted, under President Trump's watch.

Putin to Snub Tillerson as Tensions Spike

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s visit to Moscow was shaping up to be an ugly one, tasked with dealing with Russian President Vladimir Putin after last week’s US attack on Syria. US-Russia tensions appear to be getting worse so much faster, however, that it has killed the talks entirely.

Kremlin officials now say that Putin has no intention of meeting with Tillerson at all during his visit, and that the only Russian official Tillerson is going to be meeting with is Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Kremlin officials have downplayed the seriousness of this move, insisting a Putin-Tillerson meeting was never officially scheduled in the first place. That’s technically true, but as Tillerson had met Putin in the past, it seemed a foregone conclusion that one would take place.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Given last week's US military's bombing of the military base in a sovereign country with which the US is not at war, I can understand Putin's reluctance to hold a meeting with Tillerson.

In fact, given the circumstances, I am more than a little astonished that Medvedev would even receive him.

Unfortunately, however, I see this crisis resolving in only one way; a US attack against Syria, which would definitely mean war with Russia.

Vladimir Putin says US is preparing to bomb Syrian capital and will blame devastation on Bashar-al Assad's forces

The Russian leader made the astonishing claim during a press conference with the Italian President Sergio Mattarella

Putin insisted Russia would tolerate Western criticism of its role in Syria but hoped that attitudes would eventually soften.

But his claims that Russia has information strikes are being planned by the US on the southern Damascus region - the aim of which is to blame the resulting devastation on the subsequently discredited Syrian government - will not go down well in the White House.

When asked whether he expected more US missile strikes on Syria, Putin said: "We have information that a similar provocation is being prepared ... in other parts of Syria including in the southern Damascus suburbs where they are planning to again plant some substance and accuse the Syrian authorities of using (chemical weapons)."

He did not offer any proof for that claim however.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF Putin's accusations ultimately prove true, I would hardly be surprised.

Damascus is one of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world, and one of the cradles of early Middle Eastern Christianity.

I am completely distraught at the coming destruction it may have to endure, just so that the US government can get its "war on" here.

Unfortunately, just because a tactic is one of the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing for the US government to do, is no guarantee that it won't do it.

A war with Russia over Syria is one of those things.

And with US Presidential advisor Mc Masters cheerleading for a ground war in Syria, (even though President Trump appears to be pushing back on this, at least for the moment), I am very concerned that such a thing might, in fact, happen.

White House: ‘America First’ Foreign Policy Justifies Strikes Against Those Who ‘Gas Babies’

The White House on Monday insisted that President Donald Trump is still pursuing an “America first” foreign policy after ordering missile strikes on a Syrian airfield where the U.S. believes a chemical weapons attack against civilians originated.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer told reporters the launch of 59 Tomahawk missiles on Thursday night was a necessary measure to protect Americans.

“I think if you recognize the threat that our country and our people face if there is a growth of use or spread of chemical weapons of mass destruction,” Spicer said, “[then] the proliferation of those, the spread to other groups, is a clear danger to our country and to our people.”

Spicer’s definition of a national security threat is broader than Trump outlined during his presidential campaign. Trump frequently extolled non-interventionist foreign policy, and a belief that Syria should be left alone to resolve its six-year civil war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Spicer, a word, please.

As I type this, the US is thoroughly, and disgustingly, complicit in the war crimes Saudi Arabia is perpetrating on the people of Yemen, under President Trump's watch.

The Saudis have been killing and maiming Yemen's children.

Images: killed and wounded Yemeni children from Saudi bombing raids

Yemeni children are dying from the slow, painful deaths of malnutrition, courtesy to the Saudis having blockaded the Yemeni ports.

Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition, due to Saudi port blockades

There has been a massive uptick in birth defects, Cancers, and still births in Yemen, courtesy of the Saudi's use of depleted uranium weapons.

Saudi military are using depleted uranium weapons, which has caused a massive spike in cancers, birth defects, and stillbirths in Yemen

Mr. Spicer, I have a very specific question to ask you; in the eyes of President Trump, is some suffering (which can be cynically used to support a geopolitical agenda) "more equal" than other suffering (which President Trump doesn't want the American people to know about), like the continued suffering of Yemeni children due to Saudi assassinations of them; the starvation of kids through the slow, painful death from malnutrition; and the massive birth defects in Yemeni children, due to radiation poisoning in the womb?!?

Because sir, that is precisely what I am seeing here.

Syrian Army Reportedly Drops Barrel Bombs Hours After U.S. Warned It Not To

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Syrian government warplanes dropped barrel bombs on rebel-held areas of Hama province on Tuesday, a day after the United States said their use could lead to further U.S. strikes in Syria.

A Syrian military source denied the Observatory report and said the army did not use barrel bombs - drums or cylinders packed with explosives and shrapnel that cause indiscriminate destruction on the ground.

The United States fired cruise missiles at a Syrian air base last week in response to a poison gas attack on a town in northwestern Syria which Washington says was carried out by government forces. The government denies responsibility.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights ( a front for western intelligence, run out of the UK) makes such a claim, given its lousy track record, that claim is most probably false.

Unfortunately, the way Trump's advisors have be editing and doctoring the intel he gets, the falseness of such a claim will be no obstacle to to President Trump's bombing Syria again, which can nearly only mean one thing; war with Russia.

IS THERE A NEW U.S. SYRIA POLICY? IS THERE ONE AT ALL?

What does the U.S. administration want with regards to Syria?

The elements were clear just a few days ago. The U.S. would split off the east and set up a Kurdish enclave which it would then occupy with the help of proxy forces. It would use the leverage to push for political regime change in western Syria. Israel would occupy another piece of the Golan.

While that looked somewhat favorable for the U.S. in the short term it was bad long term strategy. U.S. forces in the east would be surrounded by hostiles, cut off from the sea and under permanent guerilla attack from various opposing forces. But it looked at least like a somewhat viable short term way way forward.

The new strategy, which may not be one at all, and the new U.S. commitment is all over the place:

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: SCHOOLS, BANKS, AND CORPORATIONS DECIDE WHO'S A TERRORIST

Imagine speaking out against the government and being labeled a terrorist. Imagine speaking out against police abuse and being labeled a terrorist. Imagine speaking out against corporate monopolies and being labeled a terrorist.

You can stop imagining it's already happening.

According to a recent article in the VV Daily Press, law enforcement, first responders, banks and schools are labeling people terrorists.

"San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Detective Heather Forsythe, with the department’s Criminal Intelligence Division, said Tuesday that public safety agencies and private sector personnel, such as in education and banking, meet monthly to network, “compare notes” and essentially engage in ever-important information sharing."

The Terrorism Early Warning Group, (TEWG) is made up of 19,000 sheriffs and law enforcement agencies and thousands of private sector personnel, like those in education and banking. (click here to learn more about TEWG.)

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mike and I, and this site, are most probably on this list.

Forget that we are peace activists (in my case, a Christian pacifist activist, constantly exhorting her government to achieve it s geopolitical goals through moral, hard-won negotiations); forget that our site is fact and logic based.

For the "crime" of not swallowing the government's agenda and narrative whole, and regurgitating it as gospel, such as "Saddam had WMDS"; "Bashar al Assad Gassed his own people"; and "Afghanistan was complicit to 9/11", we are judged by our government to be "terrorists."

This has even affected the ability to get my music programmed, and living on an island, where resources to to fine arts choral music are very limited, that has been ... very difficult.

NORTH KOREA STATE MEDIA WARNS OF NUCLEAR STRIKE IF PROVOKED AS U.S. WARSHIPS APPROACH

North Korean state media warned on Tuesday of a nuclear attack on the United States at any sign of American aggression as a U.S. Navy strike group steamed toward the western Pacific.

U.S. President Donald Trump, who has urged China to do more to rein in its impoverished neighbor, said in a Tweet that North Korea was "looking for trouble" and the United States would "solve the problem" with or without China's help.

Tension has escalated sharply on the Korean peninsula, with talk of military action by the United States gaining traction following its strikes last week against Syria and amid concerns the reclusive North may soon conduct a sixth nuclear test.

North Korea's official Rodong Sinmun newspaper said the country was prepared to respond to any aggression by the United States.

Webmaster's Commentary:

To China's President Xi Jingping and America's President Trump; gentlemen, a word, please.

What you both need to do, rather than rattling sabres at North Korea, is to get that country's leadership back to the negotiation table, and offer then a true peace treaty, with guarantees on trade, to replace the existing Armistice, with the quid pro quo that North Korea drops its nuclear weapons program to sign on to such a peace treaty.

Of course, such an invitation for peace, rather than the potential for nuclear war, would be ...logical, which means that the White House, State Department, and Pentagon will instantly dismiss it.

And right now, gentlemen, living on a spot that potentially could get hit by a North Korean missile (lobbed from an North Korean submarine), color me more than a little nervous at current American foreign policy toward North Korea at the moment. (Yes, I know; more calcium/magnesium!)

But given the current, and rapid, uptick in tensions, this standoff between North Korea and the US government is about as serious as a heart attack.

BIG BRO-BOT U.S. Navy funds development of robot surveillance system which can spy on humans in incredible detail

THE U.S. Navy is funding the development of a new super-surveillance system which uses robots to snoop on humans in terrifying detail.

It has handed a $1.7 million (£1.4 million) grant to researchers from Cornell University, who are working to build a system which can “conduct surveillance as a single entity with many eyes”.

The cash was handed over by the U.S. Office of Naval Research, which is dedicated to developing new forms of military and civilian technology.

Last year, we exclusively revealed that the same department discussed plans to fit humans with microchips and track their every move.

Now it wants to develop a system which lets teams of surveillance robots gather and share intelligence “at the speed of light”.

“Once you have robots that cooperate you can do all sorts of things,” said Kilian Weinberger, associate professor of computer science.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I frankly do not believe that once this technology is perfected, it will only be used for clearly humanitarian purposes, or only to keep people out of harm's way.

When a child has a hammer, everything they encounter is a nail which must be hammered down.

So it is with a government which has become terrified of its own people, because it can no longer truly control the agenda or narrative; therefore, people need to be "nailed down" before they can communicate, and ask intelligent questions which would tear that narrative asunder.

There are moments, which happen with a marked rise in frequency, when I believe I have awakened in the wrong country; the land of the free and the home of the brave has devolved to the land of the cowed, and the home of the surveilled.

HOW THE DENVER POLICE CRACK AND SEARCH CELL PHONES

Responding to our recent request for mobile phone forensic tools records, Denver Police Department has provided us with not only contracts, but a training bulletin for their Cellebrite Universal Forensic Extraction Device. Cellebrite's UFED, as the device is more commonly known, is the leading model of mobile phone data extraction tools in law enforcement.

Denver PD purchased a UFED Touch in January 2016 for about four grand. The Touch is used for cell phone data extractions done in the field and was infamously rumored to have been used by the FBI to crack the San Bernardino shooters' encrypted iPhone after Apple denied their request for access. DPD also purchased a UFED 4PC for $1,650 - the 4PC is more of a software program to sift through data already collected on the Touch.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Apparently, in Denver, the 4th Amendment to the Constitution, as well as probably many other US cities, does not apply.

BREAKING: DONALD TRUMP APPROVES NATO MEMBERSHIP FOR MONTENEGRO

Donald Trump has just approved Montenegro as NATO’s newest member state. The move is contentious as Montenegro was bombed in the illegal 1999 NATO war of aggression against Yugoslavia of which it was then a part.

Montenegro peacefully split from Serbia in 2006 to become a small independent state.

While the Montenegrin government has supported moves to join the US led alliance, socialist and pro-Serbia opposition parties have been dramatically opposed to such moves. The moves also roused public opinion during a series of anti-NATO protests in the small west Balkan state.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Let's look at a map, and see what NATO gets as its "bang" for the proverbial "buck"

Map: Montenegro and surrounding countries

What this gives NATO is another foothold on the shore of the Adriatic Sea, from which to project naval power.

NATO "acquisition" of this country also moves it further from the Russia sphere of influence, which was the ultimate justification for offering it NATO membership.

GOP Leaders Dropping Border Wall Funds, Says Report

Federal funding for one of President Donald Trump’s premier policy proposals may be excluded from the House GOP’s budget for Fiscal Year 2017-2018.

House Democrats, along with a few House Republicans, are working around-the-clock to make sure funding for the estimated $12 billion border wall is not factored into the GOP budget, according to a report by The Hill.

“With Democrats united against new wall funding, it’s unlikely the Republicans have the votes to get it through and prevent a government shutdown,” The Hill report stated.

FLASHBACK - OF THE LIARS, BY THE LIARS, AND FOR THE LIARS

In today's enlightened age of alternative media and global internet communications, lies by rulers are quickly laid bare. Yet most people remain trapped by their beliefs of what they imagine their rulers to be, and greet each new revealed mendacity with, "What? Our ruler lied to us?" The question more properly ought to be, "When don't rulers lie to us?"

The historical fact is that all rulers lie pretty much all of the time, and each newly revealed lie ought not to be thought of as a shocking isolated incident, but merely a continuation of standard operating bullshit! In short, the vast majority of what you are told by rulers is a lie, and the rare moment of absolute truth a rare and precious gem worthy of celebration.

Here are some examples from history.

The U.S. cruise missile strike on a Syrian air base last week damaged or destroyed 20 percent of Syria's operational aircraft, as well as fuel and ammunition sites and air defense capabilities, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said on Monday.

"The Syrian government has lost the ability to refuel or re-arm aircraft at Shayrat airfield and at this point, use of the runway is of idle military interest," Mattis said in a statement.

Trump, Saudi Arabia and the War on Yemen

On April 2nd, The Yemen News Agency (SABA) reported that US-Saudi war planes struck several targets including private and public properties across several provinces in Yemen:

The US-Saudi aggression war planes continued heinous strikes against citizens, causing heavy damage to private and public properties in several provinces over the past hours, a military official told Saba on Sunday. The warplanes waged 12 strikes on Haradh district of Hajja province and three other strikes on Serwah district of Mareb province, as well waged six raids on Kamaran island in Hodeida province

Webmaster's Commentary:

What the heck has Iran done, in light of the reality it has not started a war in over 200 years?!?

Iran is not the threat in the Middle East; Israel and Saudi Arabia are the threats to the region, period, end of discussion.

That the US government is still complicit in Saudi war crimes in Yemen, after the "regime change" which brought us President Trump, confounds and disappoints me more than I can articulate.

The Saudis are slaughtering civilians; starving children to death through malnutrition, because of the blockade of Yemeni ports; and using depleted uranium weapons on the Yemeni population, which is leading to massive spikes in cancers, still births, and horrific deformities in newborn children.

But apparently, in the mind of President Trump, some war crimes (like the chemical attack in Syria) are more equal than others, like those I have mentioned above.

The West and Its Allies Seek to Install the “Black Flag of Terrorism” Over Syria

The recent false flag terror attack in Idlib Syria recalls an earlier massacre by NATO forces on September 17, 2016 when Coalition warplanes attacked Syria Arab Army positions at al-Tharda Mountain in the region of Deir ez-Zor.

Each attack was for the benefit of ISIS terrorists. The direct attack on SAA soldiers at al-Tharda Mountain allowed ISIS terrorists to quickly occupy the strategic location, and the recent false flag attack provided a fake pretext for the U.S to launch a (poorly planned and executed) attack on the Shayrat air base — a facility used by the SAA to attack ISIS positions.

In fact, the entire terrorist infrastructure is strengthened with each and every initiative taken by the West and its extremist allies against the legitimate, elected, secular, socially-oriented, Syrian government.

Illegal sanctions, described recently by U.S Congressman Dennis Kucinich at the EuroCSE conference, as “war by other means”, also serve to advance terrorist capabilities.

Russia-Baiting Pushed Trump to Attack Syria — and Increases the Risks of Nuclear Annihilation

Vast efforts to portray Donald Trump as Vladimir Putin’s flunky have given Trump huge incentives to prove otherwise. Last Thursday, he began the process in a big way by ordering a missile attack on Russia’s close ally Syria. In the aftermath of the attack, the cheerleading from U.S. mass media was close to unanimous, and the assault won lots of praise on Capitol Hill. Finally, the protracted and fervent depictions of Trump as a Kremlin tool were getting some tangible results.

At this point, the anti-Russia bandwagon has gained so much momentum that a national frenzy is boosting the odds of unfathomable catastrophe. The world’s two nuclear superpowers are in confrontation mode.

It’s urgent to tell ourselves and each other: Wake up!

Webmaster's Commentary:

Russian President Putin and Prime Minister Medvedev, a word please.

Gentlemen, I would like to assure you that no thinking American I know wishes to go to war with your country.

In my case, I am a Christian Activist Pacifist/Witness, consistently exhorting my government to achieve its geopolitical goals through hard-won, moral diplomacy, rather than war.

I am utterly appalled at what the US President ordered to be done in Syria last week, and pray for all those killed and injured, as well as those who were killed and injured in the St. Petersburg blast.

Although President Trump is the country's president, and we allegedly have a Congress which is supposed to represent the will of the American people, all I see, from the presstitutes to the fawning members of Congress who saw the strike as "Presidential" to "the utterly right thing to do", is that my will, which can best be articulated as the concept of peace through trade, was not represented at all.

One of the most crucial personality traits of an excellent leader is that of restraint; and whether President Trump is getting manipulated intel data, or whether he is getting blackmailed in some way, the man demonstrated, last Thursday, that he has no restraint whatsoever.

I am watching the "crawl" from "Faux News", and they are claiming that a CBS poll claims that most Americans polled approved of these airstrikes.

I would strongly suspect that the poll was either "push polling", i.e., polling a specific demographic (Brooklyn, maybe?!?), where the pollsters can be certain of a a specific outcome, or that they were polling the criminally insane.

Wag The Dog — How Al Qaeda Played Donald Trump And The American Media

Normally, such major policy change could only be explained by a new reality driven by verifiable facts. The alleged chemical weapons attack against Khan Sheikhoun was not a new reality; chemical attacks had been occurring inside Syria on a regular basis, despite the international effort to disarm Syria’s chemical weapons capability undertaken in 2013 that played a central role in forestalling American military action at that time. International investigations of these attacks produced mixed results, with some being attributed to the Syrian government (something the Syrian government vehemently denies), and the majority being attributed to anti-regime fighters, in particular those affiliated with Al Nusra Front, an Al Qaeda affiliate.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: President Trump went off absolutely half-cocked, with this bombing run on a Syrian military base, because he had no definitive evidence as to who actually perpetrated this chemical poisoning in Syria.

And now, his national security advisor, Mc Masters is attempting to sell him on a pre-emptive full-on invasion of Syria, which will most likely mean war with Russia.

This is about as insane as any foreign policy suggestion as any I have heard over the years, and ultimately, cui bono?!? Who benefits?!?

If the US and Russia blow each other to bloody bits, it will be Israel who will be the benefactor of such mutual destruction, because it will leave Israel in control of all the Middle East's oil.

So, as is the mantra at WRH, don't panic; please plan.

More Fake News From Washington

The US government continues to lie about everything, not just Russia, Syria, Iran, and China. The US government is incapable of telling the truth about something as straightforward as employment. According to the government, March produced only 98,000 new payroll jobs, an insufficient amount to reduce unemployment, but the unemployment rate fell from 4.7 to 4.5 percent.

How did that happen? Not because the unemployed found jobs. The unemployment rate fell because the government did not count as unemployed large numbers of unemployed people who did not look for a job during the four week period prior to the survey. The US has a low unemployment rate, because the government does not count the unemployed.

FLASHBACK - Top Journalist Says Hillary Approved Sending Sarin to Rebels Used to Frame Assad, Start Syrian War

World renowned journalist Seymour Hersh has revealed, in a series of interviews and books, that the Obama Administration falsely blamed the government of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad for the sarin gas attack that Obama was trying to use as an excuse to invade Syria.

As Eric Zuesse explained in Strategic Culture, Hersh pointed to a report from British intelligence saying that the sarin that was used didn’t come from Assad’s stockpiles. Hersh also said that a secret agreement in 2012 was reached between the Obama Administration and the leaders of Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, to set up a sarin gas attack and blame it on Assad so that the US could invade and overthrow Assad.

US Vows to Keep Pressure on Syria as Hawks Urge More Attacks

Following Thursday’s missile attacks against Syria, the Trump Administration has vowed to keep the pressure up against the Syrian government, though exactly what that means means uncertain, with officials sending mixed signals on whether they’re going to militarily impose regime change on Syria or not.

In the meantime, they can expect to hear non-stop heckling from various hawks, demanding more attacks and more aggression as a matter of course, and insisting anything short of that would be taken as a sign of weakness by the international community.

And where there is hawkish sentiment to be expressed, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R – SC) won’t be far behind. Graham today insisted that by continuing to carry out airstrikes from the base the United States attacked, Syria was telling President Trump “F you.” He went on to demand 5,000 to 6,000 US ground troops be sent to Syria, both to wipe out ISIS and then to impose regime change therein.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word here, please.

Is there even a plan here, post-bombing, and punishing the wrong people for what they did hot do?!?

Because if there is not a plan, there really needs to be an adult in the room, in the bowels of power in DC, who understands all the ramifications of the bombing, and where, reasonably, the US can (and morally, should) go from here.

The US military has just bombed the assets of a sovereign nation, against which it has not declared war, and this has been done through executive order only, when Congress is Constitutionally given the power to declare war.

And Senator Graham, where are these 5,000 to 7,000 troops you are insisting Trump send to Syria, going to come from, please?!?

The US military is already overstretched to the max, in terms of troop strength, so President Trump would have to pull them from somewhere else, to deploy them inside Syria.

Senator Graham knows that such a move will most probably mean war with Russia, but absolutely doesn't give a damn about the price in blood and money which will have to be spent to get such a war going.

One has to wonder just how much of Senator Graham's portfolio is invested in the military/industrial complex.

Senator Lindsey Graham's net worth is $3 million dollars

Such a war would almost immediately necessitate the reintroduction of a military draft.

Is there a Donald Trump-George Soros Connection!!!

But were you also aware that George and Donald have been partners more than once? These partnerships show the George Soros we are familiar with, illegal activities paid with the almighty dollar, but we also find that Donald played the game exactly the same, and it cost him financially.

It all started with a simple loan between billionaires, but one is known as an avid socialist who is out to destroy the American way of life, while the other, well the other is following in the socialistic perspective, and has partnered with George Soros when he was in need of money. In 2004, George Soros made a $160 million loan to Donald Trump to build Trump Tower in Chicago. The $160 million Soros investment came in the form of a so-called “mezzanine loan.” (A mezzanine loan is like a second mortgage that charges a higher interest rate than the initial construction loan.)

Tulsi Gabbard under fire after refusing to accept 'Assad did chemical attack' without evidence

Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has provoked a backlash from senior Democrats after refusing to take Syrian President Bashar Assad's complicity in the Idlib chemical attack at face value and demanding proof.

Speaking live on CNN in the aftermath of the US missile strike against the Syrian airfield near Homs, Gabbard said she remained "skeptical" of the allegations, and reminded the host of the destructive invasions in Libya and Iraq, the latter based on a false intelligence pretext. The Democratic representative from Hawaii also called out US President Donald Trump for the "reckless" and "unconstitutional" attack.

US and North Korea ‘closer to brink’ of accidental conflict

A US Navy strike group headed by the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson steamed towards the western Pacific on Sunday for what is expected to be another American show of force off the Korean peninsula.

The US Pacific Command ordered the group – which includes several missile destroyers and cruisers – to sail north from Singapore on Saturday, according to the US Navy.

The orders come as observers warn of a growing risk of accidental conflict on the peninsula. While the US and North Korea would avoid unilateral action, rising tensions in the region mean either one might, in haste, misread moves by the other.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I wouldn't be quite so certain, from the American perspective, that there will be no "overt move" against North Korea.

I would suggest that such a move might come in the form of a "false flag"operation, to be blamed on North Korea, as the "excuse" for a decap strike/invasion.

Otherwise, there is absolutely no logical justification for the strike group to even be where it is.

Poodle Trump Runs With Dogs of War

So the brash, big-mouth tycoon in the White House with an outsized ego has finally unleashed the dogs of war in Syria.

Invoking God and the suffering of “little babies”, the supposed US Commander-in-Chief Donald Trump ordered the bombing of Syria with cruise missiles launched from warships in the Mediterranean

But the upshot is this: Trump is acting like an obedient poodle going along with the Machiavellian American power system. Invoking God and suffering babies is just a shallow moral cover for his complicity in another US criminal act – in a countless list of such crimes down through history.

To save his political skin and no doubt lucrative future business opportunities for his dynasty, Trump has donned the cap of Commander-in-Chief and is groveling before the American war machine.

He is handing over an “official” license for war in Syria that the American Deep State has been craving for years.

American people doomed to perpetual warfare

Following Trump's election, Bashar al-Assad said he and Trump would be "natural allies," assuming he commits himself to fighting terrorists and not building up the American Empire. But he didn't get his hopes up, "because the U.S. administration does not relate to the president alone but relates to different forces within this administration." Assad was, in other words, afraid that the old foreign-policy establishment would slither back into the halls of power and keep us engaged in our Wars of Democracy.

Alas, he may have been right.
