Trump's al-Quds bid creates new tension in Middle East: Iran's Rouhani

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has denounced the recent "incorrect and illegal" decision by his American counterpart to recognize Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s “capital,” saying the move would create new tension in the Middle East.

Rouhani made the remarks while speaking to reporters in Tehran on Tuesday ahead of his departure for Istanbul, Turkey, to attend an emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which is scheduled to be convened on Wednesday following US President Donald Trump's declaration of Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel’s “capital" and his country's intention to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city.

"If Muslims maintain their unity and integrity, it will be a big victory for Muslims and the region," Rouhani said.

He added that Quds belongs to all Muslims and would be the "capital of the Palestinian state."

“Resistance Forces in Region Ready to Defend Al-Aqsa Mosque”

In a phone conversation with the commanders of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, which are the armed wing of Hamas Movement, and also Islamic Jihad Brigades in Gaza, the Iranian General stressed that the other resistance forces in the region are ready to defend al-Aqsa mosque.

The remarks by General Soleimani came as a new phase of Palestine’s armed resistance against the Israeli regime seems to be starting.

The tensions in Palestine escalated after US President Donald Trump, in a move that was globally condemned, recognized Jerusalem al-Quds as the capital of Israel and said the US embassy will also be relocated from Tel Aviv to the disputed city.

Trump’s Jerusalem move will speed up Israel’s destruction, unite Muslims – Iran's defense minister

Last week’s decision by the US president to recognize Jerusalem as the Israeli capital is bound to backfire, hastening the demise of the Jewish state and banding Muslims together, Iran's defense minister has said. And should conflict break out in the region, Washington will have to bear responsibility, General Amir Hatami said.
“(Trump‘s) move will hasten the destruction of the Zionist regime [Israel] and will double unity among Muslims,” Brigadier General Hatami told a meeting of senior military officials Monday, as cited by various Iranian media outlets.

Washington’s “anti-security decision,” which has drawn widespread condemnation from Muslim nations and the international community, is ratcheting up tensions in the region, he said. Denouncing the move as “provocative and unwise,” Hatami said the declaration could possibly mean the Middle East descending into bloodshed.

Get out of Yemen and break up with Israel to restore ties with Iran, Rouhani tells Saudi Arabia

Iran could have better relations with Saudi Arabia, but Riyadh must first stop its military intervention in Yemen and distance itself from Israel, Iran’s president told lawmakers. The two nations are regional powerhouses deadlocked in a conflict.

The confrontation between Iran and Saudi Arabia is multi-layered, rooted in religious, economic and political differences between the two. But, according to Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani, relations between the two may improve, if the Saudis take a certain course of action.

Zarif Warns Europe Not to Side with US against Iran’s Missile Program

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif described the JCPOA as a “rare triumph” of diplomacy over confrontation, urging Europe, instead of siding with Washington against Iran’s missile capabilities, to help maintain the nuclear agreement.

“The nuclear deal is a rare triumph of diplomacy over confrontation. Undermining that would be a mistake,” Zarif wrote in an article published by The New York Times.

He added, “Europe should not pander to Washington’s determination to shift focus to yet another unnecessary crisis — whether it be Iran’s defensive missile program or our influence in the Middle East. This would repeat the very dynamics that preceded the nuclear deal.”

Hundreds of Iranians took part in rallies across the country on Friday to condemn U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision this week to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, state TV reported.

Leaders of Iran, where opposition to Israel and support for the Palestinian cause has been central to foreign policy since the 1979 Islamic revolution, have denounced Trump’s move, including his plan to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem.

State TV aired footage of marchers chanting “Death to America” and “Death to Israel”>>>

Here's What The Next Big Middle East War Will Look Like

On Wednesday Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed during the Jerusalem Post Diplomatic Conference that Israel has to “act now against Iran” in order to stop the Iranians from "establishing themselves in Syria,” according to the Israeli newspaper Jerusalem Post.

During the conference, the Israeli prime minister argued that world leaders should join Israel and the US in pressuring Iran to accept renegotiating the 2015 nuclear deal. Netanyahu even warned that Iran will have nuclear weapons “in a decade” once the nuclear deal is over. Netanyahu also accused Iran of supporting “terrorist organizations” as usual, and said that Lebanese Hezbollah, and Palestinian Hamas would “not last a day without Iran,” according to Jerusalem Post.

State Department warns Americans they are in danger from terror attacks WORLDWIDE following Trump's Jerusalem decision

The State Department issued a new 'Worldwide Caution' to Americans traveling overseas on Wednesday, after President Donald Trump announced the U.S. has officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

The update did not include specific warnings about Israel, the West Bank and Gaza; that region's travel advisory dates back to April.

But the State Department did advise Americans to avoid Jerusalem's Old City and the West Bank on Tuesday, anticipating strong reactions to Trump's speech once the subject matter became public.

The global warning advised American citizens to 'maintain a high level of vigilance and take appropriate steps to increase their security awareness when traveling.'

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF you can manage to not travel out of the country, but can use Skype or some other form of visual peer-to-peer conferencing software, I would highly recommend it right now.

President Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital has just placed a target on the backs of every American, and every American asset, both at home and abroad.

ISRAEL LAUNCHES MASSIVE SURPRISE MILITARY DRILL AHEAD OF TRUMP’S JERUSALEM SPEECH AND AFTER STRIKES IN SYRIA

Israel launched a large-scale surprise military drill late Tuesday along the country’s northern border with Lebanon, one of many regional countries to condemn President Donald Trump’s anticipated announcement recognizing the disputed city of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The Israeli military reportedly mobilized its Galilee division, including hundreds of logistics corps soldiers and dozens of vehicles, without prior notice, in an effort to test its rapid-response capabilities in the event of a conflict breaking out in the tense northern region, near foes Lebanon and Syria. Both Arab nations have recognized Jerusalem solely as the capital of an independent Palestinian state, and have been hit by Israeli airstrikes targeting Iran-backed forces, such as Lebanon’s Shiite Muslim Hezbollah movement, which has focused on battling Syrian rebels and jihadis in recent years. It has also clashed with Israeli forces for decades.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel will be attacking Lebanon soon; it is just a question of time, and when they believe that, due to other world conflicts, they can actually get away with it.

Trump and Netanyahu Conspire to Make Jerusalem Israel’s Capital as They Make Preparations to Attack Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who is apparently now close to being indicted for corruption, is becoming increasingly desperate to cover up his alleged financial criminality. His strategy to deflect attention is to conspire with the Trump family for the US to collaborate in changing the status of Jerusalem from an ‘international city affording access to all faiths’, to being the political capital of Israel.

It is also alleged that he is colluding with the White House in making preparations for Israeli forces to attack Iran, presumably together with US troops and American F-35 strike aircraft. That would be a catastrophic political and military error that would have dire consequences for both the Middle East and Europe.

Thousands protest against Netanyahu's corruption

As reported in mondoweiss.net, the following article appeared:

The veteran journalist Larry Derfner reports from Israel that “everybody here feels war is coming.” He adds, “There’s so much tough talk from Israel, and the Saudis would love Israel to fight a war for their interests, and the tension is very high — all this is in the news all the time.” Derfner does not believe Hezbollah or Iran would start the conflict, “because they know they’d get crushed.” He explains, “The only one I see starting it is Israel, because Israel is both strong and paranoid.” Bradley Burston, a respected columnist in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, also could not have been more clear the other day. His opinion piece was entitled, “Netanyahu Needs a War. He Needs It to Be With Iran. And He Needs It Soon.” Burston argues that Netanyahu has several selfish reasons for wanting a conflict: 1) The Israeli political reality is turning against him. “He’s desperate now because he’s losing ground fast in the latest opinion polls.” 2) He sees he may be out of power soon, and he’s “obsessed by his place in history.” Burston writes, “Netanyahu still has no legacy beyond the number of all those many years in power.” 3) Netanyahu may also provoke war to distract from the ongoing probes into his corruption: “He’s desperate because police detectives and investigative journalists are closing in on him.”

CIA Chief: Saudi, Israel May Set Up ‘Joint Military Headquarters’

CIA Director Mike Pompeo says Saudi Arabia is working directly with Israel on confronting “challenges” in the Middle East, suggesting that the two sides could go as far as setting up “a joint military headquarters.”

Speaking at the Reagan National Defense Forum in California, Pompeo cited Daesh, Iran and “failed states” as posing a challenge to both Saudi Arabia and Israel, advising the two sides to develop their relationship.

“We’ve seen them [Saudis] work with the Israelis to push back against terrorism throughout the Middle East, to the extent we can continue to develop those relationships and work alongside them – the [Persian] Gulf states and broader Middle East will likely be more secure,” he said.

“It is incredibly important that in the Middle East, where we have failed states, where you have ISIS, where you have Iran, that we have got to develop a stronger coalition of countries that are willing to work together to confront these challenges,” he added.

Webmaster's Commentary:

CIA Director Pompeo, forgive me please sir, but this is an officially horrible idea, and concretely telegraphs that the US, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, are all gung ho on attacking Iran, creating "regime change" in Tehran.

So Director Pompeo,I, need to ask a question of you here; should the US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia do this, how will Russia respond, in light of the fact that Russian military and political leaders have vowed to protect Iran militarily, should it be attacked?!?

Director Pompeo, I truly believe that you owe all Americans, particularly those whose kids will be killed or mamed for life in such a war, a brutally honest assessment here of what the potential involvement of Russia's military would mean in a war against Iran.

An ominous warning: ‘Netanyahu needs a war with Iran. And he needs it soon’

2 December, 2017: In a dangerous escalation, Israel last night attacked a military base near Syria’s capital, Damascus, using both warplanes and surface-to-surface missiles. News sources in Syria said the target was an Iranian installation near Al-Kiswa, 7 miles south of the city.

This attack — Israeli officials declined comment — is just the latest ominous sign from Israel that the unholy alliance of Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu and the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, may be planning to greatly expand war in the Mideast, targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon, and its ally and patron, Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Israel may, in fact, start this war, but they will fully expect most of the costs, in blood and money, to be borne by a US intervention into this war, on Israel's side.

I hope President Trump thoroughly comprehends that should we attack Iran, Russia - whose political and military leaders have consistently vowed to protect it under attack - will enter the fray on Iran's side.

And, as having been demonstrated in Syria, Russian weaponry does work.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – DECEMBER 4, 2017: ISRAELI-IRANIAN TENSIONS GAIN MOMENTUM

On December 2, Israeli forces launched between 4 and 6 missiles on the supposed Iranian military facility in the area of al- Kiswah in southern Damascus. According to pro-government sources, the Syrian Air Defense Force (SADF) fired several Buk-M2E surface-to-air missiles from its position in the Mezzeh airbase and intercepted at least 3 Israeli missiles. At least one Israeli missile hit the target.

On November 12, Israel’s Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman threatened to destroy the supposed Iranian base in al-Kiswah and said Israel “will not allow the Shi‘ite axis to establish Syria as its forefront base.”

On December 3, Syrian government forces, led by the Tiger Forces, liberated 8 villages from ISIS in the Euphrates River Valley, in the area southeast of the city of Deir Ezzor.

Iran is like Nazi Germany in its 'ruthless commitment to murder Jews' – Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister went on another fiery tirade against Iran, comparing the Islamic Republic with Hitler’s Germany, claiming both shared the goal to exterminate all Jews.

“Obviously, there are some differences between the Nazi Germany and Islamic Republic of Iran,” Benjamin Netanyahu generously allowed, “but both regimes do have two important things in common: one, a ruthless commitment to impose tyranny and terror, and second, a ruthless commitment to murder Jews,” he claimed in a video message, filmed for the Saban Forum, a conference on the US policy in the Middle East, that kicked off in Washington on Sunday.

The Israeli leader has recently ratcheted up his angry rhetoric towards Iran, repeatedly accusing it of gaining a military foothold in Syria to attack Israel and vowing to “act alone” to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is one small problem with Netanyahu's claim. There are Jews living in Iran. They are quite comfortable there. One of the world's oldest continually operating synagogues is in Iran. The Iranian Jews are so well off in Iran they refused an offer by Israel to emigrate.

Report: Friday Israeli Attack in Syria Killed 12 Iranians

Over the weekend, media outlets across the Arab world have gotten reports out of the area. These reports suggest that Israel did attack Iranian military forces within Syria in the strike, something the Israeli papers had previously reported, claiming 12 Iranians were killed in the attack.

Syria’s state media reported the attack targeted one of their military posts near Damascus, though they offered no details on deaths. They did, however, claim two Israeli missiles were intercepted by air defense.

Progress report on the US-Russian war

I am often asked if the US and Russia will go to war with each other. I always reply that they are already at war. Not a war like WWII, but a war nonetheless. This war is, at least for the time being, roughly 80% informational, 15% economic and 5% kinetic. But in political terms the outcome for the loser of this war will be no less dramatic than the outcome of WWII was for Germany: the losing country will not survive it, at least not in its present shape: either Russia will become a US colony again or the AngloZionist Empire will collapse.

At the end of the day, political regimes can only survive by the consent of those it rules. In the United States this consent is clearly in the process of being withdrawn. In Russia it has never been stronger.

Netanyahu and CIA Director Pompeo Threaten Iran

Washington, Israel and Saudi Arabia comprise a sinister alliance against Iran, risking greater regional war than already.

Last month, Netanyahu vowed to prevent Iran from using Syria “as a base from which to destroy Israel” – invoking the long ago discredited canard.

Iran threatens no one, not Israel or any other countries. The Big Lie persists to justify unjustifiable US/Israeli/Saudi hostility toward the Islamic Republic.

Following Israeli warplane terror-bombing of a Syrian military target overnight Friday, naked aggression by any standard, Netanyahu released a disinformation statement, roaring:

“Let me reiterate Israel’s policy: We will not allow a regime hell-bent on the annihilation of the Jewish state to acquire nuclear weapons.”

“We will not allow that regime to entrench itself militarily in Syria, as it seeks to do, for the express purpose of eradicating our state.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

US citizens have been lied into two wars in recent memory, the Iraq war, and the Afghanistan war; we will not sit still for being lied into a third against Iran, for which Saudi Arabia and Israel are cheerleading, but fuly expect that the costs of "victory" (if there is one) will be exclusively borne by American blood and American money.

And I hope, if President Trump, signs off on such a military misadventure, as has been Afghanistan, Lybia, and Iraq, that he will seriously consider the following hard reality; Russia has vowed to come to Iran's aid, if attacked militarily.

HOW A DUBIOUS BBC REPORT GAVE ISRAEL THE "GREEN LIGHT" FOR LAST NIGHT'S ATTACK ON SYRIA

Syrian state television has confirmed that Israel attacked a military base outside of Damascus overnight on Friday, which Israeli media reports involved both surface-to-surface missiles and airstrikes, while Syria says its air defense systems were engaged and intercepted two missiles. Like other recent strikes inside Syria, the Israeli jets reportedly fired from over Lebanese airspace, in order to avoid both Syrian anti-aircraft missile systems and provoking a Russian response. Though the extent of the damage or casualties is not yet known, Syrian media has confirmed material damage to the base, and other reports indicate mass power outages in some of parts of Damascus occurred immediately after the attack, which SANA says happened at 12:30am local time.

The Coming War on Lebanon: Israel, Saudi Arabia and the U.S. Prepare for a Long-Planned Middle East War

Israel, Saudi Arabia and the U.S. have one main objective at the moment and that is to destabilize Lebanon and attempt to defeat Hezbollah before they prepare for another offensive in Syria to remove Assad from power. Before they declare an all-out war on Iran, they must neutralize their allies, Hezbollah and Syria which is by far an extremely difficult task to accomplish.

IDF-linked Think Tank Admits Israel, ISIS Are Allies in Confronting Iran in Syria

A new report suggests that in the area of countering Iran’s presence in Syria, ISIS and Israel’s interests may converge, which in a way makes them allies. Despite suggesting no formal alliance between ISIS and Israel, an IDF affiliated think tank Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center reports that interests of both ISIS and Israel align, making them allies against Iran.

Regarding ISIS, the report says it,

Misusing Intelligence to Sell Conflict with Iran

Although nobody knows exactly where Donald Trump intends to go with his campaign of seeking confrontation with Iran, his administration already has provided disconcerting parallels with the techniques an earlier U.S. administration used in selling its launching of a war against Iraq. Among these techniques is the cherry-picking of intelligence not to inform policy-making or to enlighten the public but instead to inculcate false perceptions among the public and thereby to muster support for a policy already chosen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All the Israeli Firsters around President Trump are cheerleading for regime change in Tehran, but please understand: they only want this to happen at the cost of American blood and American money, and they don't give a damn about what the costs of such a war will be.

So I sincerely hope that President Trump realizes that should the US and/or Saudi Arabia attack Iran, Russia will most probably jump into the fray on Iran's side, as their military and political leadership have long vowed that should Iran be attacked, Russia willcome to its aid militarily.

Is Trump Going to Lie Our Way Into War With Iran?

A decade and a half ago, in the run-up to the invasion of Iraq, President George W. Bush’s administration conjured up not only terrifying images of nuclear mushroom clouds but also of Saddam Hussein plotting with Osama bin Laden to attack the United States.

Mr. Bush himself declared that Mr. Hussein “aids and protects terrorists, including members of Al Qaeda” while Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld called links between Iraq and Al Qaeda “accurate and not debatable.”

It wasn’t true, of course. But it helped make the case for war.

That may be why a similar lie is getting trotted out again now, except this time the target is Iraq’s neighbor, Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The President would do well to remember; a war against Iran will probably mean war with Russia, whose political and military leadership have consistently, and collectively gone on record as stating that Russia will defend Iran, should it be attacked militarily.

And, as evidenced by their astounding victories in Syria, the Russian military has weaponry which actually works.

US BOWS TO ISRAELI/SAUDI ALLIANCE IN BLAMING IRAN

Contrary to common belief, Israel supported Iran’s Islamic Republic for more than a decade in the 1980s before shifting its favors to Saudi Arabia in the 1990s and making sure the U.S. followed suit, recalls Ted Snider.

At first, American officials couldn’t believe it. In 1993, the Israelis began pressuring the Clinton administration to view Iran as the greatest global threat. Israeli Defense Minister Contradicts Netanyahu: "There Is No Iranian Military Force On Syrian Land"

As we've long pointed out, anytime that Israel carries out acts of aggression against Syria, it can just blame Iran or Hezbollah and escape international criticism or condemnation. International media and Western governments have already demonstrated a penchant for towing the Israeli line whenever Iran can be conceivably blamed as a culprit - evidence or no evidence - this as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made it official Israeli policy to oppose Iranian presence in Syria.

But on Tuesday Israel's own Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman flatly contradicted the prime minister's jingoistic alarmism by saying that there are no Iranian military forces in Syria, but instead merely stuck to acknowledging "experts and advisers". In comments to Israel's Ynet news, Lieberman admitted, "We must preserve our security interests. It is true that there are a number of Iranian experts and advisers, but there is no Iranian military force on Syrian land."

But in the era after ISIS as a state has fallen – when Israel’s new main concern is Iran’s presence in Syria and its attempts to smuggle game-changing weapons through Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon – both ISIS and Israel may be targeting the same Iranians.

Can’t You See War on the Horizon?

According to news reports in the British press, Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed Russia’s industries to prepare themselves to be able to make a quick switch to war production.

Clearly, the Russian government would not make such an announcement unless it was convinced that the prospect of war with the West was real. For some time I have emphasized in my columns that the consequence of years of hostile actions taken by Washington and its European vassals against Russia was leading to war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The war I see coming is bigger than just between the US government and Russia.

The demonization of Russia, North Korea, and Iran continues apace.

And note, of late, an attempted "linkage" between North Korea and Iran, regarding North Korea's weapons program.

Demonization, coupled with sanctions, are nearly always a prelude to war.

I hope to hell that I am wrong, but I see a world war coming to this planet, within this next year, and one which will bring back the draft, in this country, of both our young men and our young women.

Western Players' Presence in Syria in Essence Aimed at Iran - Think Tank

As westerners engage in the Syrian standoff they actually have one goal in the back of their minds, and that is weakening Iran, said Ammar Waqqaf, head of the UK-based Middle-East focused think tank, speaking to Sputnik.

Ammar Waqqaf, founder and director of GNOSOS, noted that with Syria being in the international spotlight Iran gets isolated and thus "easier to crack on."

Saudi-led ‘Arab NATO’ declares total war on terrorism; Iran, Iraq & Syria not invited

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Salman has vowed to “wipe” terrorists from the “face of the earth” using resources available to the Islamic Military Alliance, a so-called ‘Arab NATO’ which claims to be targeting a “faceless enemy,” rather than any particular “sect” or “country.”

Formed in 2015 by then-deputy Crown Prince and defense minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, the IMA has so far only functioned on paper. Now the Crown Prince wants to take his brainchild to the next level by declaring a total “war against terrorism,” during the Sunday summit of IMA, also referred to as the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) or the “Arab NATO.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

OH, REALLY?!?!?

Forgive me, but I am nearly close to choking from nausea, invoked by the glaring hipocrisy of the words coming out of this guy's mouth, relative to the hellish realities on the ground he has created for the people of Yemen.

So please: when does Prince Salman intend to announce the end of the terror he and his coalition are raining down on Yemen with these damnable bombing raids, which are killing civillian women, children, and the medically fragile elderly here?!?

When will he stop the US-enabled blockades of Yemeni ports, leading to massive deaths by malnutrition?!?

And when will he get a reasonable, and rapid, medical response going to the horrific outbreak of cholera, which is killing thousands in Yemen?!?

Prince MBS, if you want to stop a lot of terror in the region, you had better damned well take a good, long look in a mirrior first.

Turkey support key as US seeks to hold on in Syria

The Isis group may be on the run from its last bastion in Syria but the United States is gearing up for a longer stay in the country.

And if US forces are to counter Iranian and Russian influence as Syria struggles to emerge from civil war, they will need Turkey's help.

But Washington's relations with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's testy government have been strained of late, posing a diplomatic challenge.

So when US President Donald Trump called his counterpart Friday, he needed to make a significant gesture -- and he seems to have delivered.

Tensions remain high, but Trump's apparent promise not to send any more weapons to the YPG Syrian Kurdish militia was a key concession to Ankara.

Nasrallah Accuses US Of "Daesh Conspiracy" As Feared 'Tehran-To-Beirut Land Bridge' Is Established

Washington's past decade of Syria policy has been driven by fears of the so-called "Shia crescent" or Iranian land bridge which would conceivably connect Tehran with the Mediterranean in a continuous arch of influence. With events rapidly unfolding in Iraq and Syria, foremost among them the defeat of ISIS and the connection of Syrian and Iraqi national forces at the shared border, that land bridge has now been established for the first time in recent history.

But now as 2017 comes to a close, the Syria-Hezbollah-Iran alliance appears victorious, and it's the House of Saud and US-backed alliance that is fragmented and in shambles. And consistent with what Hersh predicted all the way back in 2007, the US has for years supported a jihadist corridor in Syria in order to "isolate the Syrian regime, which is considered the strategic depth of the Shia expansion (Iraq and Iran)."

Saudi crown prince calls Iran's supreme leader 'new Hitler'

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has denounced Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as the "new Hitler of the Middle East", as tensions simmer between the regional rivals.

Saudi Arabia and its arch-rival Iran have traded a bitter war of words after a missile fired from Yemen was intercepted near Riyadh airport on November 4. The missile was claimed by Yemen's Tehran-backed Huthi rebels.

Iran's "supreme leader is the new Hitler of the Middle East", Prince Mohammed told The New York Times in an interview published Thursday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I do not know if the original interview was done in Arabic, or in English, but it is painfully apparent that the Butcher of Yemen is pathologically incapable of understanding all the reasons why this analogy would work much better for himself than for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Let's see: has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the assassination, and maiming for life, of innocent infants, children, women, and the medically fragile elderly?!?

NO.

Has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered the blockading ports, causing massive deaths through complications of malnutrition, primarily, again, in children.

NO.

Has Ayatollah Ali Khamenei allowed a massive epidemic of cholera (possibly weaponised) to wipe out thousands of people, with no end in site?!?

Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has done none of these things, while Prince Salman has done every one of them.

I would to politely suggest, at this moment, that Prince Salman, morally, needs to look into a mirror.

NO.

THE REVERSE MIDAS TOUCH OF SAUDI ARABIA’S CROWN PRINCE IS TURNING THE MIDDLE EAST TO DUST

Both MBS, as he has come to be known, and his elderly father King Salman, the BND analysts wrote, want Saudi Arabia to be seen as “the leader of the Arab world” with a foreign policy built on “a strong military component.” Yet the memo also pointed out that the consolidation of so much power in a single young prince’s hands “harbors a latent risk that in seeking to establish himself in the line of succession in his father’s lifetime, he may overreach,” adding: “Relations with friendly and above all allied countries in the region could be overstretched.”

And so it has come to pass. In fact, despite being repudiated at the time by a German government more concerned about diplomatic and commercial relations with Riyadh, the BND warning turned out to be eerily prophetic.

NEW COLD WAR? IRAN SENDS WARSHIPS TO GULF OF MEXICO

Iranian warships are set to leave the waters of the Persian Gulf to sail across the world and tour another gulf—the one that lies between the U.S. and Mexico.

At a time when Iran is looking to expand and modernize its military in the face of what is seen as a growing U.S. threat, its newly appointed navy commander, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, held his first press conference Wednesday, announcing that a fleet of Iranian ships would soon depart for the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico en route to visits to a number of South American countries, Iran’s semiofficial Tasnim News Agency reported. The move is reportedly part of a push to project Iran’s military on a more global scale and establish international ties as President Donald Trump and his allies, including Israel and Saudi Arabia, seek to isolate the revolutionary Shiite Muslim power.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Iranian Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi, a word, please:

I can understand why you would want to do this, and there should be no reason why you, and the Iranian Navy, should not be doing this. I mean, after all, the US Navy is doing "freedom of navigation" tours in disputed Chinese waters, right?!?

But I would politely suggest to you, and to Iranian President Rouhani, that the timing- and optics - may be way off right now.

Do you realize that such a journey would open your ships up to a potential US/Israeli-created "false flag",to be blamed on Iran as the "justification" for an attack against it?!?

Sir, I thought I would share this observation, to give you a chance to reconsider.

You are welcome.

In Escalating War Of Words, Saudi Crown Prince Calls Iran's Ayatollah "New Hitler Of The Middle East"

Godwin's law states that "as an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hitler approaches 1." Saudi Arabia's powerful, and controversial, 32-year-old Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman - who in just a few months has made more local (and foreign) enemies than most of his predecessors accumulated over a lifetime, decided he does not need to wait that long, and in a glowing interview with the New York Times' Thomas Friedman, which touched on everything from the accommodations of the Riyadh Ritz-Carlton, to the recent power grab anti-corruption campaign, to Donald Trump, to the Saudi social and religious revolution, called the Supreme Leader of Iran “the new Hitler of the Middle East”, escalating the war of words between the arch-rivals. For his part, Khamenei has referred to the House of Saud as an “accursed tree”, and Iranian officials have accused the kingdom of spreading terrorism.

Head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps: Any New War in Middle East Will Lead to Israel’s ‘Eradication’

Any new war in the Middle East “will lead to the eradication of the Zionist regime,” the head of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps declared on Thursday, according to the semi-official state news agency Fars.

Israel — Maj. Gen, Mohammad Ali Jafari asserted to reporters in Tehran — saw “a part of the resistance front’s power during the 33-day and 22-day wars (the Second Lebanon War and Operation Cast Lead) and today that the great resistance front has been formed, this word has been proven.”

“The fate of the resistance front is interwoven and they all stand united and if Israel attacks a part of it, the other component of the front will help it,” Jafari claimed.

The Greatest Dangers in the Middle East Today are Jared Kushner and Mohamed bin Salman

***
The wars in Iraq and Syria already have their winners and losers: President Bashar al-Assad stays in power in Damascus, as does a Shia-dominated government in Baghdad. An Iranian-backed substantially Shia axis in four countries – Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon – stretches from the Afghan border to the Mediterranean. This is the outcome of the wars since 2011, which is not going to be reversed except by a US land invasion – as happened in Iraq in 2003.

The great danger in the Middle East today is that Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman and Jared Kushner appear to have a skewed and unrealistic understanding of the world around them. Inspector Clouseau seems to have a greater influence on Saudi policy than Machiavelli, going by the antics surrounding the forced resignation of Saad Hariri as Prime Minister of Lebanon. This sort of thing is not going to frighten the Iranians or Hezbollah.

The signs are that Iran has decided to go a long way to avoid confrontation with the US. In Iraq, it is reported that it will support the re-election of Abadi as prime minister which is also what the US wants. Iran knows that it has come out on the winning side in Iraq and Syria and does not need to flaunt its success. It may also believe that the Crown Prince is using anti-Iranian nationalist rhetoric to secure his own power and does not intend to do much about it.

Nobody has much to gain from another war in the Middle East, but wars are usually started by those who miscalculate their own strengths and interests.>>>

Israel may ‘target’ Iran activity in Syria, Netanyahu said to tell Macron

Israel sees Iranian activity in Syria as “a target” for its forces, and may carry out strikes against Iranian objectives if security needs require it, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly told French President Emmanuel Macron in a phone call this week.

Channel 10 reported Wednesday that it had obtained a transcript of Sunday’s call. In it, Netanyahu is said to have told the French leader that “from now on, Israel sees Iran’s activities in Syria as a target. We will not hesitate to act, if our security needs require us to do so.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: Israel is going to declare war on Syria, as a way of "baiting" Iran to strike back, ultimately as the justification for going to war against Iran.

But rest assured; Israel will expect the costs of such a war to be borne only in American blood and American money, and will be prepared to fight to the last American standing.

But the larger question is, with ISIS nearly mopped up in Syria, in great part due to Russian military assistance, just how long is Russia going to put up with Israel playing picador in Syria?!?

Translated Doc Debunks Narrative of Al Qaeda-Iran ‘Alliance’

For many years, major U.S. institutions ranging from the Pentagon to the 9/11 Commission have been pushing the line that Iran secretly cooperated with Al Qaeda both before and after the 9/11 terror attacks. But the evidence for those claims remained either secret or sketchy, and always highly questionable.

In early November, however, the mainstream media claimed to have its “smoking gun”—a CIA document written by an unidentified Al Qaeda official and released in conjunction with 47,000 never-before-seen documents seized from Osama bin Laden’s house in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This piece of codswallop, dutifully regurgitated by the corporate presstitutes, and configured to make it look like it was something it wasn't is typical of the collusion between the American Deep State, and its presstitutes.

What was happening here, was the creation of a narrative to further and agenda, i.e., that Iran colluded with Al Qaeda, is therefore bad and must be invaded and regime changed.

Very fortunately, it exploded, metaphorically, in their, and the government's collective faces, like a bad trick, cigar.

But don't expect, for a millisecond, that the government and corporate media will stop attempting to lie this country into another war, this time against Iran, which may well mean a war against Russia, whose politicians and military leadership have sworn to defend it, should it be attacked militarily.

Everywhere Surge: US Mideast Deployments Up 33% in Four Months

The Pentagon isn’t always honest about troop levels overseas, but their quarterly reports have shown a precipitous rise in ground troop deployments across the Middle East since June. Perhaps most interestingly, these deployments came entirely after the announced escalations in Iraq and Syria had already taken place.

US troop levels are up some 33% across the 14 nations included in the report, and rose in every single one of those countries. This spans a region covering all nations from Turkey to Egypt, down to Yemen, and over to Iraq and Kuwait.

The largest deployments are some of the most surprising, with the US presence in Qatar more than double over the past report (3,164 to 6,671), and nearly tripled in the United Arab Emirates (1,531 to 4,240). It is particularly noteworthy that troops continued to be added to nations in which seemingly nothing is happening, like Oman and Lebanon, suggesting the US is determined to just escalate everywhere at all times.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Escalations like this don't happen for utterly no reason: logistics like this take time, and planning.

I would suggest that this bump in troop strength in the Middle East may well b may well be a pre-positioning of resources in advance of an attack against Iran, possibly tag teaming with both Israel and Saudi Arabia.

This could get very nasty, very quickly, as Russian political and military leaders have consistently vowed to come to Iran's aid militarily, should it be attacked.

Putin-Trump dialogue confirms vast agenda in Russian-US ties, senator says

The dialogue between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump has confirmed that there is a wide-ranging agenda in Russian-US relations, Russian senator Konstantin Kosachev wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.

Putin and Trump held a phone conversation on November 21. The White House’s press service said the conversation lasted for more than an hour. The Kremlin’s press service noted that the dialogue was "business-like and substantial." The sides discussed Syria, Ukraine, North Korea, Afghanistan and Iran’s nuclear program.

"The long-lasting and substantial conversation between Putin and Trump, according to mutual assessments, confirmed that a vast agenda remains in Russian-US relations, which may and should be discussed without preconditions and on an equal basis," said Kosachev, who chairs Russia’s Federation Council (upper house) International Affairs Committee.

Lebanese Army On "Full Combat Readiness" At Southern Border To Counter "Israeli Enemy"

Two days after Israel provided the first ever official confirmation of covert ties with Saudi Arabia, a step many analysts see as a precursor to future conflict in the Middle East involving adversaries Iran and Lebanon, on Tuesday the head of the Lebanese Army told the military to be at “full combat readiness” to face “the Israeli enemy” at the country's southern border. The announcement comes as Arab nations, including Saudi Arabia, vow to tighten their grip on Lebanon’s Hezbollah militia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It would not surprise me much if both Saudi Arabia and Israel went into Lebanon this weekend, with Americans collectively sedated from all the tryptophane in the turkey they consumed for Thanksgiving, and focused on football and Christmas shopping.

I hope that I am wrong, but I am intuiting a massive buildup in tensions in the Middle East, from the Saudi purge, and the its government's statements that both Lebanon and Iran had begun a war against it.

You cannot keep any army on highest alert for a long period of time without sacrificing energy and awareness of those troops; I suspect that some movement from Israel and/or Saudi Arabia against Lebanon may well be imminent.

Riyadh 'fuels terrorists, wages war' while Tehran works on regional peace process – Iranian FM

Iran’s foreign minister has said Saudi Arabia accusing Tehran of "destabilization" can only be described as "ironic," as his nation is involved in successful talks on the Syrian peace process, while the Saudis are provoking new regional crises.

Tehran has been working with international partners, such as Russia and Turkey, to ensure ceasefire in Syria and pave the way for further political processes there, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Javad Zarif, said on Sunday. No Proof Iran Behind Houthi Missile Launch

A UN panel appointed by the UN Security Council says it has seen no proof of Saudi Arabia’s claims that Iran was responsible for the recent missile attack by the Yemeni Houthi fighters targeting Riyadh. In a confidential letter sent to UNSC diplomats on Nov. 10, the panel said they had seen no evidence to support Saudi claims that short-range ballistic missiles have been transferred to Yemeni forces in violation of UNSC resolutions, the US-based investigative website The Intercept reported on Friday. Saudi Arabia has accused Iran of supplying Houthis with short-range ballistic missiles, one of which was intercepted by the Saudi Air Force in midair before targeting an airport near Riyadh on Nov. 4. Top American officials, including US President Donald Trump, have also repeated Saudi accusations against Iran.

His fear stems from a political crisis brewing in Lebanon.

It started on November 4, when Prime Minister Saad Hariri abruptly resigned.

The series of events fueled rumours that Saudi forced Hariri to resign.
