America Arms The Kurds And Terrorists, Turks Bomb Kurds and Assist Terrorists: What Side Is Everyone On?

By Brandon Turbeville

Recently, the Trump administration approved the arming of Kurdish militias in Syria with heavy weapons. Early on, Trump had allowed for the shipment of various armored vehicles and light weaponry to be shipped to Kurdish fighters but the new announcement will see restrictions removed and allow for even more plentiful and powerful weaponry being sent to Kurds in Syria who are battling terrorists, Turkey, the Syrian military, and non-Kurd militias.

Turkey is obviously outraged at the new announcement. These Kurdish fighters are bound to use those arms against Turkey at some point if for no other reason that the fact that Turkey has invaded Syrian territory and launched a war not on ISIS but the YPG...

Pentagon Admits: No Physical Evidence Russia Gave Arms to Taliban

After months of top US generals insinuating, and sometimes flat out alleging, that Russia is “arming the Taliban,” the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has finally stepped forward and admitted to the Senate that there “is no physical evidence” to back up such a claim.

Since Russia has been on bad terms with the Taliban for decades, the allegations never made any sense, but began being pushed by US officials with NATO ties roughly around that Russia offered to help broker peace talks, apparently based wholly on them having invited the Taliban to the talks.

The DIA’s comments appear to support this being the reason, saying they had “some indications” Russia had offered something to he Taliban, but that there was no evidence it ever amounted to anything, let alone weapons or money.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Dear DIA, a word, please; in this age of instant information, you can no longer lie to the American people, and the world, with impunity.

Please remember this the next time you are even, collectively, contemplating offering up more codswallop in the future; it just will not work anymore.

The "Big Lie" went out with the Whoopee Cushion and the dribble glass, decades ago, and there is utterly no way to resurrect it.

US Killed Record Number of Civilians in Past Month of ISIS Strikes: At Least 225 Civilians in the Past Month

The US is eager to brag about their record number of airstrikes in the ISIS war, with the rate of growth in the number of strikes launched limited only by their ability to get enough weapons to drop on people. Officially, the death toll has remained trivial, albeit increasingly non-credible.

NGOs keeping track of the number of civilians the US is killing show a different story, however, with the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights putting the death toll at 225 over the last month, which by their reckoning is the most civilians the US has killed in any one month span of the ISIS war.

That’s a conservative estimate too, even though it’s likely more than 10 times what the Pentagon will admit to. Indeed, Air Wars themselves counted 230 civilians killed in a single US strike in Mosul, and they too recognize that the civilian toll is continuing to rise precipitously

Webmaster's Commentary:

To the Pentagon and the money junkies, the civilian death toll in these countries is absolutely meaningless; it's just "collateral damage" in the process of regime changing Damascus, and insuring that Iraq's oil is only sold to parties the US wants it sold to, and is sold for US dollars.

US Intelligence: Kurdish Independence Is Inevitable

“Kurdish independence is on a trajectory,” wherein it’s not a question of whether the Kurds will form an independent state, but a question of how soon, Defense Intelligence Agency Director Gen. Vincent Stewart told lawmakers on Tuesday.

"Once ISIS is defeated in Mosul, the greatest challenge to the Iraqi government is to reconcile the differences between the Shia-dominated government, the Sunnis out west, and the Kurds up north," he said.

The Kurdish ethnic group, with populations spanning Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Armenia and Syria, includes adherents to Islam, Christianity, Yarsanism, Yazidism, Alevism and Judaism, but a majority of Kurds are Sunni Muslim. There are an estimated 30 million Kurds, considered to be one of the largest stateless groups in the world.

Webmaster's Commentary:

No, a Kurdish state is not an "inevitability"; it is to be their "reward" for their fighting in Syria against the Syrian troops, and will involve the balkanising of areas in both Syria, and Iraq, i.e., the US government carving up the Middle East to suit their own purposes.

And I have to wonder; did Syria's Bashar al Assad and Iraq's Fuad Masum get the memo yet, that their countries are going to be carved up to accommodate an independent Kurdistan?!?

And with regard to Syria, what is Russia prepared to do to prevent this?!?

Donald of Arabia: A Disgusting Spectacle

by Justin Raimondo, May 22, 2017

Has there been a more disgusting spectacle during the four months of this presidency than the sight of Donald Trump slobbering all over the barbarous Saudi monarch and his murderous family of petty princelings? It’s enough to make any normal American retch, especially when one remembers what Trump said about them during the election:

“Saudi Arabia and many of the countries that gave vast amounts of money to the Clinton Foundation want women as slaves and to kill gays. Hillary must return all money from such countries!”

And then there was this tweet:

“Tell Saudi Arabia and others that we want (demand!) free oil for the next ten years or we will not protect their private Boeing 747s. Pay up!”

Now Trump’s son in law, Jared Kushner, is calling up Lockheed-Martin to get a discount for the Saudis, personally brokering the biggest arms deal in US history. What a difference a presidency makes!

Upping the Bloodshed: Ukraine Breaches Embargo to Fuel South Sudan Civil War

The United Nations has accused Ukraine of defying an international embargo on South Sudan, supplying the country with weapons and exacerbating a growing humanitarian crisis in the process. It is unclear whether the European Union will take action, given the bloc's desperation to integrate the country into its folds.

In Imvepi, northern Uganda, men, women and children queue for food and water of questionable drinkability in the intense heat of the north-east African sun, at a hastily constructed refugee camp. These unfortunate individuals have all fled — mostly on foot — across the South Sudan border, escaping ever-burgeoning bloodshed in their home country. The causes of the conflict are manifold, pitting government forces against opposition elements and split across tribal lines.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I see this as brilliantly hypocritically ironic on the part of the UN, to condemn Ukraine for providing weapons to South Sudan, while not condemning the US for providing a $350 million dollar weapons deal to Saudi Arabia, with which that country will perfect its genocide in Yemen, and ultimately, fight a proxy war for the US and Israel against Iran.

The UN's silence, when it comes to human rights violations, can be bought at a price; apparently, with Saudi Arabia and the US, that price has been met.

Trump’s Astonishing Lies & Duplicity In Saudi Arabia His ‘Muslim World Address’ Is Overflowing With BS

In Saudi Arabia Sunday night, Trump addressed the Muslim world – after sealing a $110 billion arms deal, signing a memorandum of intent to supply Riyadh with weapons worth around $350 billion over the next decade.

He exuded deplorable gratitude to his despotic host, falsely claiming he chose “the heart of the Muslim world” for his first foreign trip “to deliver a message of friendship and hope.”

Hardly by agreeing to supply Riyadh with hundreds of billions of dollars of powerful weapons for regional wars and domestic repression.

Claiming is “vision is one of peace, security and prosperity” in the Middle East and worldwide belies America’s destructive agenda, endless imperial wars, escalating on his watch.

Trump: “Our goal is a coalition of nations who share the aim of stamping out extremism and providing our children a hopeful future…”

Fact: Reality is polar opposite – in America, EU countries, and most others.

RUSSIAN JOURNALIST: WHY DOESN'T ISIS EVER ATTACK OR THREATEN ISRAEL? ASSAD: ISRAEL SUPPORTS ALL TERRORISTS IN THE REGION.

President Assad: Not only ISIS, of course, or Daesh, not only al-Nusra; anyone, any terrorist who holds a machine gun and started killing and destroying in Syria was supported by Israel, either indirectly through the logistical support on the frontier, or sometimes by direct intervention by Israel against Syria in different areas in Syria. Why? Because Israel is our enemy, because they occupy our lands, and they look at Syria as enemy of course, and for them they think if they undermine the position of Syria and make it weaker as a whole, as society, as army, as state, that will prevent Israel from moving toward the peace, and the price of the peace is to give back the Golan Heights to Syria. So, for them, Syria will be busy with another issue now, it would be busy to talk about the Golan or the peace process, or even to do anything to get back its land.

Trump’s Art of the Deal in the Middle East: Selling wars and terrorism

It would be funny if it were not so sickening. US President Donald Trump’s whirlwind tour through the Middle East was a “triumph” of make-believe rhetoric over reality. Donald “the peace-maker” is sowing decades of further violence in the war-torn region.

The horrific repercussions of American foreign policy are all around us, from the illegal occupation of Palestinian territories to the ongoing wars in Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, to the latest terror attack in Britain where 22 people were killed in a suicide bombing at a concert in Manchester.

With a typical inane understanding of the web of international terrorism that American foreign policy has generated over many years, Trump glibly condemned the bombing atrocity in Manchester as the work of “losers.”

“ISIL crisis” plays right into Zionists hands

Rahm Emanuel, President Obama’s first Chief of Staff – who also served as Obama’s Israeli Mossad handler – famously said: “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”

Individuals, groups, whole industries, even nations sometimes take advantage of crises and catastrophes. Big bankers, for example, love war because it forces governments to borrow vast sums of money at compound interest. Arms manufacturers also make huge profits. And the big government always gets bigger during wartime as it confiscates people’s wealth and scales back their rights.

THE MANCHESTER ATTACK - A BLOWBACK FROM BRITAIN'S TERROR SUPPORT IN LIBYA, SYRIA AND BEYOND

It was eastern Libya from where in March 2011 a tribal insurrection to overthrow the Libyan government was initiated. Weapons were flown in from Qatar and handed out to Jihadists. British special forces were on the ground to help the takfiris of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) in their attacks towards the Libyan capital in western Libya. The leader of the eastern front was Abdelhakim Belhadj, a long time al-Qaeda member, After Ghaddafi was overthrown with British help al-Qaeda's flag went up over the court house of the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi.

The Islamic State, a splinter part of al-Qaeda, has claimed responsibility for the attack in Manchester. The LIFG was aligned with al-Qaeda.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That the governments of the US and UK believe, as a general article of geopolitical faith, that the invasions; occupations; and expropriations of the resources of other countries, to which they, and their corporate minions, have utterly no moral right, will not ultimately result in horrific actions like this bombing, demonstrates that they are indulging in "magical thinking".

This form of "magical thinking", in the minds of those in the bowels of power in the "deep state" of both the US and UK governments, means that they believe there will be utterly no consequences for these horrific wars for resources upon which both countries have staked their economic futures.

And you have to understand that, because of the way those in power think, when these barbaric acts happen, against totally innocent civilians, it is simply the cost of doing business; people...are irrelevant, and the US/UK Deep States control what is going on in these countries, and what their people want, peace and prosperity, doesn't matter at all.

The "price" of acts like these, is perfectly acceptable to the leadership in both countries, if the acts are not, in fact, false flags, engineered to persuade citizens to give up what little liberties they have left, and surrender them to the surveillance state to make sure they are "safe".

But I would like to politely point out that all the surveillance in the UK did not prevent this horrific bombing; food for thought for my British cousins.

Money...is the only thing that matters to them.

Xi asked Trump for ‘100 days’ to deal with North Korea problem

Chinese President Xi Jinping asked U.S. President Donald Trump for a 100-day grace period to deal with North Korea’s military provocations during their meeting in early April, according to several U.S. and Japanese sources.

At their talks in Florida, Trump asked Xi to strengthen economic sanctions against Pyongyang over its repeated ballistic missile and nuclear tests. China accounts for about 90 percent of North Korea’s foreign trade.

The U.S. president said that if Beijing did not cooperate, Washington was prepared to implement new sanctions against Chinese companies that have business dealings with North Korea, including several financial institutions, according to the sources.

Xi may have asked for the grace period to prevent such U.S. sanctions from making it difficult for the targeted Chinese companies to continue their business transactions with U.S. financial institutions and companies.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF, in fact, this story is true, (and please note that this is not sourced), President Xi basically has until the end of June to turn Kim Jung Un's thinking around, when it comes to its nuclear weapons program.

The successful launching of a medium range missile last weekend does not seem to indicate that China has had an effect yet on moderating North Korea's missile program to date.

IF, in fact, these reports are true, I am hoping and praying that Chinese President Xi will "up his game" before the end of next month; otherwise, all hell could potentially break loose here, particularly if Kim Jung Un decides the "timing is right" to test a nuclear weapon

THE PRICE OF HELLFIRE MISSILES: EVERYTHING AMERICANS COULD BUY AT THE COST OF A DRONE STRIKE

As Donald Trump’s plan to Make America Great Again unfolds, there is at least one thing he will not need to worry about because the United States is already greatest at it — spending the most money to kill people. With US defense spending being more than the next 7 countries combined, none of our competitors will be catching up to us anytime soon. In this case, the greatness of the US is beyond question and it comes at a cost — but that is the price we pay for our freedom. And no one can put a price on freedom. But have any of you wondered — if you could put a price on freedom — what its cost would be? Or, in other words — how great exactly is the price of things like Hellfire missiles?

THE COSTS OF FREEDOM:
WHAT ELSE CAN WE BUY AT THE PRICE OF A HELLFIRE MISSILE?

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is amazing to me that Americans vote, and continue to vote, but absolutely nothing changes; the American Deep State's war agenda continues apace, with more military interventions through which foreign resources are expropriated, to which this country and its corporate minions have utterly no moral right; regimes are toppled and changed to insure that they are Western-centric (at least, nominally); those resources are only sold in US dollars; and countries get balkanized, and left in chaos and ruins, in order to insure that they will never again be an "existential threat" to the United States, militarily or economically.

If you want want an example of this, writ large, just please remember what happened to Libya's Qaddafi, when he was about to announce that his country's oil was going to be sold in a national Libyan currency, the gold dinar, rather than US dollars; his country got invaded, and he got assassinated.

No one wants to talk about this, but at this point in this country's history, it appears that citizens of this country are absolutely not in any degree of control over it, whatsoever.

Yes, we have these elaborate, Kabuki-drama style national, and state, elections; but at the end of the day, it is the corporations which buy candidates to craft legislation to their liking, and the Deep American State, which are in control.

The country I thought I knew, no longer exists, outside of a complete fantasy construct; and I feel like an alien in my own land.

My eyes wide open to the brutal reality I see, where the most fragile in our society are simply abandoned, and am anticipating a very terrifying, martial future in the days and years to come.

LIBYA - MASSACRE AT BRAK AL-SHATTI MAY TRIGGER LARGER CIVIL WAR

Nobody has their eye on Libya with all "western" media preoccupied with DC machinations, Russiaphobia and the first overseas trip of President Trump.

What about the implosion we are on the brink of seeing in Libya following the murder of all LNA Air Force personnel at the Brak al-Shati AFB?

The death toll in the attack of a Libyan National Army airbase, in south Libya, rose to over 140, a spokesman for Field Marshall Khalifa Haftar said on Sunday.

Remarkably it was militia (called 'the third force') of the UN unelected Government of National Accord (GNA) under Faez Serraj that attacked and executed the unarmed men in the Brak al-Shati Air base. There were allegedly foreigners among the attackers possibly aligned with al-Qaeda.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would like to politely remind our readers that this descent into madness and civil war in Libya was orchestrated by none other than Hillary Clinton, in her role as Secretary of State, when she was cheerleading for Qaddafi's ouster., due to Qaddafi's plan to start selling Libya's oil for a gold-backed currency, the gold dinar, instead of the US dollar.

Qaddafi's gold money plan would have devastated the dollar

You need to understand that to people who think as Clinton and Obama do, an entire genocide of a people is perfectly morally comfortable, as long as it prevents the destabilisation of US currency; so every single death resulting from Qaddafi's assassination can be laid squarely at their feet, like a huge bouquet of blood-drenched roses.

This is precisely what were are seeing playing out in Libya today.

House Seeks Details on Increasing Permanent US Military Presence in Europe

House Armed Services Committee chairman Rep. Mac Thornberry (R – TX) is seeking official estimates from the Pentagon on the cost of more permanent deployments of US ground troops into Europe, particularly as it relates to the escalations of the past couple of years.

The US has made multiple ground deployments into Eastern Europe over the past year, mostly centering on getting ground troops near the Russian border as part of “spearhead” forces, which the Pentagon has presented as necessary to “reassure” US allies in the region.

The House Armed Services Committee has asked the Pentagon to calculate the cost of permanently stationing what are now rotational U.S. military forces in Europe, chairman Rep. Mac Thornberry said Monday.

US AIRSTRIKES IN SYRIA NOW KILLING MORE CIVILIANS THAN ASSAD’S AIR FORCE

With a mosque’s minaret in the foreground, a United States Air Force cargo plane takes off from the Incirlik Air Base in southern Turkey, where coalition forces launch attacks inside of Syria, July 30, 2015.

The number of civilians killed in air strikes by the US-led coalition in Syria over the past month was the highest monthly toll since it began its campaign against the Islamic State (IS) group in 2014, a monitoring organization said on Tuesday.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that at least 225 civilians including 44 children and 36 women had been killed in the month between 23 April and 23 May.

At least 122 IS militants and fighters loyal to the Syrian government were also killed, the Observatory said.

“The past month of operations is the highest civilian toll since the coalition began bombing Syria,” Observatory head Rami Abdel Rahman told the AFP news agency.

“There has been a very big escalation.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Since this is coming from a one-man band ( the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, whose owner hasn't been in Syria for the last 13 years), I suspect that these numbers are quite conservative, compared with the real carnage the US-based Coalition has created in Syria.

North Korea's Latest Missile Test Brings Us One Step Closer To WWIII (Here's How We Got Here)

As time goes on, North Korea’s nuclear program is making war with the United States more and more likely. As SHTFplan.com's Daniel Lang details, we’re on a terrible path that no one knows how to escape from.

On the one hand, North Korea is clearly led by an unhinged and tyrannical government that can’t be trusted with nuclear weapons. So you can understand why the US is so determined to stop their progress with these weapons. But at the same time, those nuclear weapons could one day guarantee that the leaders of North Korea will remain in power for a long time. Those weapons would make any potential aggressor think twice about trying to invade the bellicose nation, so there’s no way that North Korea is going to abandon its nuclear program.

The Shi’ite fighters from Iraq have controversially been bombed by the US Air Force on two separate occasions; this is explained by their blitz offensive targeted an area controlled by US vetted rebels.

The most important aspect of Mr Trump’s two-day visit to Saudi Arabia is that it took place at all. He chose to go first to the world’s most thorough-going autocracy where his speech will be lauded by the state-controlled media.

Almost all of the 55 Muslim rulers and leaders in the vast hall in Riyadh will have breathed a little easier on hearing Mr Trump’s repeated call “to drive out terrorism”, since they have always described anybody who opposes their authority as “terrorists”.

This will be a green-light to people like Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi to go on imprisoning and torturing Muslim Brotherhood members. American pressure on the ruling Sunni minority in Bahrain to stop persecuting the Shia majority was always tame, but Mr Trump’s praise for the island’s rulers may make the situation even worse.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Again, military conflict against Iran will most probably mean war with Russia, as Russian politicians and military personnel have been publicly very vocal on the notion, that if Iran gets attacked militarily, Russia will come to its aid.

Mattis: Escalation of ISIS War Doesn’t Threaten Civilians

Speaking at the Pentagon, Defense Secretary James Mattis talked up the continued escalation of the ISIS war worldwide, vowing the “annihilate” thousands of ISIS fighters in the Middle East to ensure that they are never able to return to their countries of origin.

At the same time, Mattis downplayed the risk the continued escalation of the war posed to civilians, despite the soaring number of civilian deaths in recent months coinciding with previous escalations, saying that the US would continue its “extraordinary efforts” to keep the civilian death toll low.

In practice, that likely means that the Pentagon will continue to go to almost impossible lengths to publish official death tolls that are far, far lower than the actual figures, Independent groups like Air Wars regularly document civilian deaths from US airstrikes at least 10 times higher than what the Pentagon puts on their official list.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A quick question for Sec Def Mattis; sir, do you believe that any thinking American is believing this utter and complete codswallop for a second?!?

Because, sir, if you do, you are truly, beyond-help delusional.

Thinking Americans understand that the US military presence in Syria is about engineering regime change; and in Iraq, it is about insuring that its leadership is Western-centric; that the oil goes only to countries the US approves of, and that the oil is only sold in American dollars.

Trump & 55 Muslim-majority states sign pact pledging 34,000 troops to fight ISIS in Iraq & Syria

The US and Middle Eastern countries have backed a new pact that promises to provide extra troops for defeating Islamic State, singles out Iran for destabilizing the region, and says that Riyadh is to become the heart of the region’s counter-terrorism operations.

Described as the Riyadh Declaration, the document was signed following US President Donald Trump’s visit to the Saudi capital for a summit that brought in Islamic representatives from 55 countries, and vowed “to combat terrorism in all its forms, address its intellectual roots, dry up its sources of funding and to take all necessary measures to prevent and combat terrorist crimes in close cooperation among their states.”

The exact membership of what the communique called the Middle East Strategic Alliance will be decided next year, but putative members have committed to assembling “a reserve force of 34,000 troops to support operations against terrorist organizations in Iraq and Syria when needed.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short translation of the "Riyadh Declaration"; increased war against Syria, by which none of these countries have been invited to assist it in getting rid of jihadists, leading to regime change in Damascus, and ultimately war against Iran.

And the big question I have here, is if things escalate in Syria, and if there is ultimately a war against Iran, what will Russia do, in light of its efforts to defend the Al-Assad government, and has consistently stated that should Iran be attacked militarily, it will come to Iran's aid?!?

I can tell you very clearly, what Putin, Medvedev, and the Russian Duma will NOT do, as a response to such provocations; join hands and sing "Kumbyah"!!

THERE IS SOMETHING DEEPLY WRONG WITH WHAT YOU DO WHEN EVEN SATAN FEELS THE NEED TO DISTANCE HIMSELF FROM YOU:

The Saudis and their Wahhabi brethren in Qatar are the root of extremist Takfiri terrorism all over the world. They finance the most radical and brutal groups of conservative Muslim head-choppers. This includes the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the culprits of 9/11, al-Qaeda, ISIS and whatever may be their next incarnation.

The U.S. knows this. Trump knows this. An email Hillary Clinton sent to her election campaign manager John Podesta correctly noted:

[...] the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, [..] are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to ISIL and other radical Sunni groups in the region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This weapons deal was a very, very bad idea, and one which will most likely see US/Russian military conflict in both Syria and Iran, ultimately.

I don't know what the Vegas odds are about the US government reinstituting the draft, but were I a betting woman, I would not bet against that, nor against it happening in the relatively near future.

FRINGE NEOCON WROTE TRUMP’S SAUDI SPEECH

If there is any doubt Trump was captured early on by the neocons, one only need to look at the speech he delivered in Saudi Arabia.

The 30 minute speech was written by Senior Policy Adviser Stephen Miller, an ally of former Breitbart executive Stephen Bannon and former Breitbart writer Julia Hahn.

Miller organized and promoted “Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week” while a student at Duke University. He worked with the notorious neocon firebrand David Horowitz at the time. Josefin Dolton writes:

As a college student, Miller wrote a biweekly column for the The Duke Chronicle, addressing such topics as terrorism, US foreign policy and political correctness. Defending President George W. Bush’s war in Iraq, Miller wrote that “Islamic terrorists have declared holy war on the United States. They have declared a death sentence on every man, woman and child living in this country.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why am I not surprised at this?!?

It has been the Neocon/Israeli/American Deep State's collective desire, ever since the 1979 Iranian revolution, to invade and balkanise this country, for its "temerity" in having overthrown the US-imposed, brutal dictator, the Shah.

Since that time, Iran has been making steady economic and social progress, even though I profoundly disagree with their not allowing women to major in some specific areas in college.

Universities in Iran Put Limits on Women's Options

It's interesting that the US has embraced its former enemy, Vietnam, as a major trading partner, but not Iran; and the primary reason for that is that Israel considers it their "existential threat" in the region, and wants it destroyed, by any means necessary.

What is that phrase heard so frequently in the Middle East, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend"?!?

This is why Israel is not complaining too strenuously about the huge military aid package President Trump just approved for Saudi Arabia, because it sees Saudi Arabia as a US proxy to take down Iran militarily.

US STRIKE ON SYRIAN FORCES: THE SCRAMBLE FOR POST-ISLAMIC STATE SYRIA

The tactical scope of the attack was relatively limited, but strategically, the stakes particularly along Syria's territorial boundaries have been raised significantly.

Regarding the attack, US geopolitical analysts appear unanimous regarding the rhyme and reason behind it.

Foreign Policy magazine in a recent article claimed that the strike "showed American commanders are willing to use force to maintain de facto safe zones in the country’s east." The article also attempts to claim these "safe zones" are being used to stand up forces to fight the Islamic State.

In reality, the Islamic State was a creation of the US and its regional allies and meant specifically to "isolate the Syrian regime," according to a 2012 US Defense Intelligence Agency report.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The question reverberating in my head, is how long before US and Russian forces actually start to engage, because their objectives in Syria are polar opposites?!?

The US wants "regime change" in Damascus, to make it easier to ultimately invade Iran, but Russia wants to defend and support the government of Bashar al-Assad; these two objectives are completely mutually exclusive.

It is not, at this point, a question of if this is going to happen; only, when it is going to happen.

SPECIAL: Jared Kushner Working for Israel to Enable Saudi Arabian Nuclear Attack Against Iran UPDATE 2: Gulf NATO to Wage War on Iran & Syria

ROBERT STEELE: I have learned from a person I trust that Jared Kushner is being used by Israel to rapidly enable Saudi Arabian nuclear attack capability against Iran. In his recent call to the Lockheed CEO asking for a 12% discount (it should have been 50%) on Lockheed’s missile defense system, Kushner was overheard discussing the arming of the Saudis with nuclear missiles with what sounded like an Israeli intelligence officer. See the Updates. Donald Trump is becoming impeachable by We the People.

My source tells me that the Israeli’s believe they can incite a limited nuclear war between Saudi Arabia and Iran, and that the nuclearization of Saudi Arabia will discourage Russia from deepening its support of Syria while also serving as a threat against Iran.

May 22 08:27

HERE’S WHY SAUDI ARABIA AND ISRAEL ARE ALLIES IN ALL BUT NAME

Those who claim that Israel is opposed to Donald Trump’s now openly warm relations with Saudi Arabia are missing the actual point. On the surface, many assume that Israel and Saudi Arabia have poor relations. Neither country has diplomatic relations with one another, one is a self-styled Jewish state while the other is a Wahhabi Sunni monarchy.

But they both have the same regional goals, they both have the same enemies and both are intellectual anachronisms in a 20th century that has seen the fall of multiple monarchies, the end of traditional European colonialism and the fall of segregated regimes in Africa (Apartheid South Africa and UDI Rhodesia for example).

Both countries also seek to destroy Iran. Iran unlike Saudi Arabia and Israel, practices an ethical foreign policy. Far from wanting to export its Islamic Revolution, Iran has been a staunch ally to secular Syria and has been at the forefront of the fight against Salafist terrorism like ISIS and al-Qaeda.

TALKING TACTICS, LACKING STRATEGY - THE GENERALS ON SYRIA AND IRAQ

On Friday Secretary of Defense [General ret.] Mattis, General Dunford and Special Envoy McGurk on the Campaign to Defeat ISIS held a press briefing. A transcript is available.

My first thought after reading its was: "These people live in a different world. They have no idea how the real word works on the ground. What real people think, say, and are likely to do." There was no strategic thought visible. Presented were only some misguided tactical ideas.

One purpose of the briefing was obviously to souse the Saudis in preparation of Trumps weapons sales campaign there. There was no mention at all of any (Saudi financed) Jihadis in Syria or elsewhere besides ISIS. Questions about Kurdish or Iraqi paramilitary groups were answered with trash talk about Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One might think think, with all the blood and money already spent, there would be some grand, strategic plan the US military has come up with to counter the growth of ISIS in Iraq and Syria (where the US government has not been invited, thank you very much); unfortunately, there appear to be snippets of conflicting ideas about what should be done; what can, reasonably be done; and a general unwillingness to confess that ISIS is very much a Frankenstein-like creature created by elements of the US government.

In Afghanistan, Civilian Casualties Happen by Design, Not by Accident

Even the waves of so-called “terrorists attacks” in Germany, Holland and France last year underscores that these are the conspiracy theories aimed at continuous war in Syria and elsewhere. Many Europeans would still keep faith with the war-mongers’ cooked-up stories and back the US and NATO’s intervention in Syria. The sole purpose of all these planned attacks was and is to demonize the Islamic State or Al-Qaeda and draw a whole support to wage a filthy war against “the nations” where these terrorists operate.

Unrest in Afghanistan is a recipe for more US weapons’ sales to war-exposed countries, viable drug trafficking that generates a profit far beyond measure, unearthing of underground resources worth of several trillion dollars, restraining of the regional military and economic rival powers and so others.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The sickening rhythm of "invade; regime change; occupy; expropriate resources; and insure those resources are only sold in US dollars" continues, unabated.

And in his weekend trip to Saudi Arabia, with that ginormous US arms deal he greenlit, it appears that President Trump is setting up that country for a proxy war against Iran, to regime change that country as well.

But there is one minor problem; in both Syria, and Iran, Russia's leadership has pledged both countries to resist any attempt at regime change; and the Russian military is very formidable, at this point in its history.

War with Russia over Syria and Iran?!?

That's precisely where the US government and military are headed right now, and unless there are some American leaders willing to bring some semblance of sanity back to DC, it is not a question of if, but when, such wars will happen.

Why Is The Trump Administration Rewarding Saudi War Crimes With More Weapons?

Soon after that unlawful bombing, the Obama administration suspended the sale of nearly $400 million in weapons to Saudi Arabia.

It was a recognition, a long time in coming, that the coalition’s military campaign in Yemen had devastated the country, killed thousands of civilians, and brought it to the brink of famine.

After the funeral bombing, unlawful airstrikes continued, but the decision to suspend arms sales sent an important message to the Saudis. President Donald Trump, in his first trip abroad as president, is going to send an alternative, deeply troublesome message.

While in Riyadh this weekend, Trump reportedly plans to announce more than $100 billion in arms deals to Saudi Arabia – nearly as much as Barack Obama authorized during his eight years in office.

The deals include Raytheon bombs, Lockheed Martin missile defense systems and BAE combat vehicles, and some of the weapons whose sales had been suspended.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I do not think the new arms are specifically for Yemen, but to fuel a Saudi/Iran proxy war the way the US Government fueled the Iran/Iraq war.

"We Will Go To War; We Will Fight You": China's Xi Threatens Duterte If Philippines Drills For Oil

The Philippines' outspoken president Rodrigo Duterte got a glimpse of the true snarling, belligerent Chinese dragon hiding behind the cheerful, globalist Panda facade earlier this week, when in response to a claim that his country was prepared to drill for oil in a disputed part of the South China Sea, China's president Xi told him matter-of-factly that in that case he should prepare for war.

In a meeting on Monday between the two presidents, Duterte asserted his nation's sovereignty over disputed South China Sea territory citing last year's ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration. "We intend to drill oil there, if it's yours, well, that's your view, but my view is, I can drill the oil, if there is some inside the bowels of the earth because it is ours," Duterte said in a speech, recalling his conversation with Xi.

Is Uncle Sam Funding the Islamic State? Where Does ISIS Get All Those Tanks, Weapons And Shiny New Toyota Trucks?

Toyota trucks aren’t all ISIS has managed to buy, capture or scavenge from us. In June, CNBC reported that so far we’ve accidentally furnished the Islamic State with at least $219.7 million worth of weapons, vehicles and other military supplies and gear — and that’s just the stuff we know about.

Based on various reports, CNBC came up with the following laundry list of supplies the U.S. has so kindly provided to ISIS so far.

2,300 Humvee armored vehicles at $70,000 each: $16 million
40 M1A1 Abram tanks at $4.3 million each: $172 million
52 M198 Howitzer mobile gun systems at $527,337 each: $2.7 million
74,000 Army machine guns at $4,000 each: $29 million
TOTAL: $219.7 MILLION in military weapons, vehicles, and other supplies and gear for ISIS.

US Aggression against Syria and the Principles of a “Just War”. “Make America a Global Empire, Again!”

t is already known that all of these terrorists in Syria, including primarily the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/DAESH), are armed and sponsored by the US (and Israel) and their regional quisling states (Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Kuwait, Qatar…).

The terrorists’ original warfare of partisan strategy [i], like by the Muslim Albanian Kosovo Liberation Army in 1995?1999, was based only on direct provoking of the legal and legitimate Syrian state security forces to respond by attacking the terrorists’ posts. Later, well armed and equipped terrorists occupied immense portion of Syria and establishing full scale of ideological and religious terror against the civilians that simply forced a regular Syrian security forces to launch large scale military actions in order to stop the jihadist terror and liberate the country from the criminals but as it is expected with unavoidable number of civilian casualties.

Pentagon plans to 'annihilate' IS fighters

President Donald Trump has instructed the Pentagon to "annihilate" the Islamic State group in Syria in a bid to prevent escaped foreign fighters from returning home, Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Friday.

The move to encircle then kill as many jihadists in place as possible -- rather than letting them exit a city and targeting them as they flee -- reflects an increased urgency to stop battle-hardened jihadists bringing their military expertise and ideology back to European capitals and other areas.

The president has "directed a tactical shift from shoving ISIS out of safe locations in an attrition fight to surrounding the enemy in their strongholds so we can annihilate ISIS," Mattis said, using an acronym for IS.

"The intent is to prevent the return home of escaped foreign fighters."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Makes one wonder just how soon the corporate presstitutes will resort to the concept of "body counts" to both justify the US presence in Syria (where, unlike Russia, the US government has not been invited to deal with the Jihadists), and make it appear that the US is "winning", just as happened with the war in Vietnam.

JOHN PILGER SPEAKS OUT ON JULIAN ASSANGE AND SWEDEN

The anti-war journalist and investigative reporter John Pilger has been a long time friend and supporter of fellow Australian Julian Assange. Assange, once the darling of the western liberal media when he exposed the war crimes of George W. Bush’s America, fell from their favour when he applied an equally vigorous amount of scrutiny to the war crimes, lies and lack of ethics of the Obama administration.

“Julian Assange has been vindicated because the Swedish case against him was corrupt. The prosecutor, Marianne Ny, obstructed justice and should be prosecuted. Her obsession with Assange not only embarrassed her colleagues and the judiciary but exposed the Swedish state’s collusion with the United States in its crimes of war and “rendition”.

Had Assange not sought refuge in the Ecuadorean embassy in London, he would have been on his way to the kind of American torture pit Chelsea Manning had to endure.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Julian Assange was never a criminal in my eyes; he was a witness to the truth of how the Deep American State does business, both domestically and internationally, and the reason he was, and is, so prosecuted, even unto this day.

Frequently, what those in the Bowels of Power in the Unhinged Surveilled States of America do, in the name of US hegemony, is both insane and morally reprehensible.

Believe me, if there are two people who understand about personal (and constant) cyber attacks with which to blacklist and smear someone, those two people would be Mike and me.

May 20 14:08

Getting Assange: The Untold Story

It may have seemed that way, but there was always serious purpose. In 2008, a secret Pentagon document prepared by the “Cyber Counterintelligence Assessments Branch” foretold a detailed plan to discredit WikiLeaks and smear Assange personally.

The “mission” was to destroy the “trust” that was WikiLeaks’ “centre of gravity”. This would be achieved with threats of “exposure [and] criminal prosecution”. Silencing and criminalising such an unpredictable source of truth-telling was the aim.

Image result for wikileaks

Perhaps this was understandable. WikiLeaks has exposed the way America dominates much of human affairs, including its epic crimes, especially in Afghanistan and Iraq: the wholesale, often homicidal killing of civilians and the contempt for sovereignty and international law.

Preparing for the Collapse of the Petrodollar System, Part 2

In part one of this four part article series, I provided a background to our modern petrodollar system by explaining the "dollars for gold" arrangement that was put in place by global leaders through the Bretton Woods conference in the final days of World War II.

The article provided a brief evolution of the Bretton Woods agreement from its inception in 1944 to its ultimate demise in 1971. As detailed, in the late 1960's, this "dollars for gold" system had become unsustainable as Washington insisted upon the adoption of a "welfare state" that relied upon massive entitlements and a "warfare state" that required perpetual wars.

Preparing for the Collapse of the Petrodollar System, Part 1

Recently, there have been many news headlines containing the words “Iran”, “nuclear capability”, “Syria“, and “Islamic State“. If you listen closely, you can almost hear the drumbeats of a fresh war in the Middle East.

As an economist, I have been trained to view the world through the lens of incentives. (I am a "bottom line" kind of guy.) And just as every action is motivated by an underlying incentive, every decision has a related consequence.

This brief article details the actions, incentives, and related consequences that the United States has created through its attempts to maintain global hegemony through something known as the petrodollar system.

Paul Craig Roberts Laments "The Assault On Trump"

We are witnessing an assault by the national security state and its liberal media on a President of the United States that is unprecedented.

Wild and unsupported accusations of treasonous or illegal Russian connections have been the mainstay of the news since Trump’s campaign for president. These accusations have reached the point that there is an impeachment movement driven by the national security state and its liberal media and endorsed by Democrats, the American leftwing which has turned against the working class as “Trump deplorables,” and luminaries such as Harvard Law Professor Larry Tribe. The Washington Post, which was not present at the meeting of President Trump with Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, purports to know that Trump gave Lavrov US national security information.

The Russian government has offered the presstitute media a transcript of the meeting, but, of course, the pressitutes are not interested.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We the People are no longer in any degree of control over domestic or foreign policy.

This is created by the corporations, who buy politicians to craft legislation in their favor, and the American Deep State, which is constantly striving to enhance US hegemony by any means necessary, including wars; assassinations; and regime changes.

But none of this is actually in the interests of We the People, because the cold, hard reality is, wars are generally economic in nature.

And, of course, Congress Members would be driven off and screamed at by friends and families of our dead military at the memorial services they might attend, if they mentioned once their thanks to that soldiers' sacrifice, so that companies like General Dynamics; Lockheed Martin; Kellogg Brown & Root could "make a killing", literally and financially.

This... is an ugly truth, but it is the truth.

War is murder, wrapped in a lovely flag, and not created for honour, courage, or "the American way of life", whatever that is these days; it is done to expropriate foreign resources to which neither the American government nor their pet corporations have any moral right; to make sure that the governments of the countries in which those resources exist are Western-centric, even if that means regime change; and to insure that those resources are only sold in American dollars.

That is what the pursuit of war by those hubristic monsters in the bowels of power in the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America is all about these days; and apparently, they don't think they will be getting quite enough of it to satiate their greed under President Trump, so they are plotting any possible way of "regime change" here at home, to cure the problem.

Never mind what the American people wanted, and why they voted for Trump; we have become, in their minds, totally irrelevant.

And in the most peaceful, logical way possible, that attitude has to be changed.

Israeli Minister Hints At Coming War In Syria And Iran: “The Time Has Come To Assassinate Assad”

The Syrian situation is one that has been both fostered and created in part by the United States. ISIS is a creation of the American State Department under Obama. The U.S. wanted to take northwestern Syria to enable a natural gas pipeline to be run from Qatar into Europe. This would have accomplished several things. The move would have taken the monopoly away from Russian energy giant Gazprom by supplying gas to Europe via Qatar.

Pentagon an Eager Customer of Assassination Mini-Drones

Fighting umpteen wars around the world, the US special forces (SOCOM) is forever offering “urgent operational needs statements” for its various weapons. This newest one is a real eye-opener, as SOCOM is seeking 325 more Lethal Miniature Aerial Missile Systems (LMAMS).

LMAMS are not actually missiles so much as single-use drones, designed to be small, fast, and carry large explosive payloads. The drones are created with an eye toward assassination attacks against “high-value targets,” with US company AeroVironment, and some Israeli companies manufacturing various similar models.

This suggests that SOCOM has either already burned through 350 assassination drones in a disturbingly short time, or they plan on assassinating so many people in the near future that they don’t think what they have left is enough to cover it until they could order more through conventional channels

Webmaster's Commentary:

Extrajudicial assassinations run so deeply against the core of true American values, I just don't know where to start.

However, I am very sure that the use of such weapons, in the Middle East and beyond, is a brilliant tool for radicalising those who are left behind, and to nearly insure that they will ultimately embrace jihad.

The use of such weapons, then, could well be characterised as an "insurance policy" to insure perpetual warfare for the US military to have to slam down.

What a wonderful "gift" for the US military/industrial complex!

Mattis: North Korea Military Solution Would Be "Tragic On An Unbelievable Scale"

With the media narrative once again focused squarely on Trump and the "Russian connection", something which will unlikely change over the next week absent "fireworks" elsewhere, the story of potential military intervention in South Korea has understandably dropped from the front pages. Although with a second US aircraft carrier now en route to the Korean Peninsula, and with Trump desperate for another "big bang" distraction, is it shortsighted to underestimate the potential of another geopolitical hotspot emerging in the next few days.

While the answer is unknown, on Friday afternoon Defense Secretary Jim Mattis reminded the American public just how high tht potential stakes are when he said that any military solution to the North Korea crisis would be "tragic on an unbelievable scale" and that Washington was working internationally to find a diplomatic solution.

Webmaster's Commentary:

China is not the problem here; how the problem can best be characterised, is that the US government is intransigent in its position that there can be no negotiations before North Korea abandons its nuclear missiles program, which means, in Kim Jung Un's mind, that North Korea should be vulnerable to invasion.

What should be happening here is a multi-lateral conference, between the US; North Korea; South Korea, and China, which would create a peace treaty to replace the existing armistice, with the quid pro quo being, that North Korea ends its nuclear weapons program in return for guarantees on trade and free movement of its people and its goods.

Of course, that...would be logical.

Netanyahu Seeks ‘Dirty Harry’ Moment With Iran as Trump Arrives

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wants to persuade President Donald Trump to impose tough new sanctions on Iran for threatening Israel with ballistic missiles and bankrolling terrorism, a close adviser said.

The restrictions would aim to inflict damage in the same way that blocking money transfers did before Iran signed the 2015 agreement to curtail its nuclear program, said Michael Oren, a deputy cabinet minister to Netanyahu and his former ambassador to the U.S. The Israeli leader was among the most outspoken opponents of the deal and relishes the prospect of renewed confrontation if Iran violates its terms, he said.

That’s a ‘Dirty Harry’ moment,” Oren said in an interview on Thursday in Tel Aviv, referring to the style of brinkmanship adopted by Clint Eastwood’s detective in the 1971 movie. “You have to exact a price for Iranian behavior.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Prime Minister, a word please; haven't you and your political supporters been threatening Iran with harm, and do you not have specific weapons focused on Tehran yourself?!?

This is a pot/kettle/black moment in your foreign policy.

You could tamper down the hostility in a heartbeat, and you know it; when the next Iranian President is elected, as a result of this week's elections, you could visit Tehran with a peace and trade deal that could be an incredible win/win for both countries, at so many levels.

But you won't because of that hubris, and your insistence that the US military "take care" of Iran for you, and that the blood and money spent on this issue should only be American; never Israeli.

U.S. Citizens Want to Know if Erdogan Ordered Them Attacked at D.C. Protest

American activists opposed to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan want to know if he personally ordered the violent disruption of a protest Tuesday in the U.S. capital, and say President Donald Trump needs to stand up for them.

Video released Thursday shows that Erdogan watched his supporters, including members of his security detail, charge toward protesters in the grassy Sheridan Circle, punching and kicking them before police restored order.

Just before chaos erupted, an aide bent over Erdogan, who was seated in the back seat of a car in the driveway of the Turkish ambassador's home. The aide communicated with another man who ran toward protesters. Seconds later, Erdogan supporters were breaking through the police line.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That foreign agents were allowed to rough up peaceful protestors is an absolute insult to all the American people, and should never have been allowed to happen.

Video: The Collapse of ISIS, Competition for Syrian-Iraqi Border

The SAA has repelled several fierce ISIS attacks in the city of Deir Ezzor. According to the Syrian Defense Ministry, 28 terrorists were killed and 30 others were wounded during the clashes. The SAA also managed to destroy a tank, a BMP-1 vehicle, and 2 technicals armed with 23mm guns.

As ISIS is collapsing in Syria and Iraq, sides involved in the conflicts have increased their efforts in the area of the Syrian-Iraqi border. Western-backed militant groups, supported by the US-led coalition’s special forces and airpower, increased their activity in southern Syria.

US-led forces are pretending to control the whole Syrian-Iraqi border area south of the Euphrates. However, while al-Bukamal remains under the ISIS rule, this is not possible.

U.S. ATTACKS SYRIAN GOVERNMENT FORCES - IT NOW HAS TO MAKE ITS CHOICE

Together with its many subordinate NATO and Gulf allies the U.S. has the military and economic power to destroy the Syrian military. It can eliminate the Syrian government under President Assad and occupy the whole country. That would be a large war which would probably escalate into a global fight against Russia, Iran and other countries. It would necessitate a several decades long follow-up occupation for "nation building" while constantly fighting against a large al-Qaeda aligned Takfiri insurgency in Syria and all its neighboring countries (especially in Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey where U.S. friendly governments would fall). The war would cost several trillion U.S. dollars, a large number of casualties and cause decades long chaos in a geo-politically sensitive region.

Webmaster's Commentary:

My sense here is that the Deep American State will unwisely chose a major war, which will then spill over into Iran, and escalate with Russia.

The US government should have better sense than to believe its own narrative, regarding establishing an independent Kurdistan out of bits and pieces of Iraq and Syria; unfortunately, it does not.

It may not be a war the US military can win, because right now, it doesn't have the weaponry; the troop strength; the manufacturing, or the money to insure a positive outcome to a war against Russia.

US ATTACK ON SYRIAN FORCES: ASSERTING "SAFE ZONES"

US warplanes struck a Syrian military convoy within Syrian territory, after claiming the forces came too close to US military positions.

In legal terms, it was both an act of war and criminal. The US military is currently occupying Syrian territory without invitation by the Syrian government and without any form of mandate from the United Nations.

In geostrategic terms, the United States is attempting to assert itself and its geopolitical strategy of establishing and subsequently expanding "safe zones" inside Syrian territory in a bid to topple the Syrian government, then divide and destroy the Syrian state.

Foreign Policy, a clearinghouse for corporate-financier funded think tank policymakers, in an article titled, "US Bombs Syria Regime for the First Time," would admit:

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US has just, informally, through this bombing, declared an act of war against the Syrian government, and its people.

As a Christian pacifist activist, I cannot begin to articulate just how appalled I am at this action, and what its potential repercussions may well be.

TRUMP TO ANNOUNCE $350 BILLION ARMS DEAL DURING SAUDI ARABIA VISIT

Over the past few weeks there’ve been multiple reports of President Trump planning to unveil a massive arms sale to Saudi Arabia during his Riyadh visit, and the figures have kept rising. What was $100 billion earlier this week is now, according to the most recent reports $350 billion.

That would make it one of the largest arms deals in US history, and realistically in world history, and indications are that President Trump intends to present this as part of the push for the creation of “Arab NATO,” and by extension make it about Sunni Arabs confronting Iran.

This single deal would dwarf President Obama’s arms deals throughout his entire term in office, which are estimated at $200 billion, and are themselves the biggest amount of arms sales by any administration in the post war era. Saudi Arabia was a large buyer then, as well.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This deal puts the US and Saudi government and military on a collision course with Russia, whose political and military leaders have pledged to come to Iran's aid, if attacked militarily.

This deal also drives up the very real possibility that there will be a return of the draft in this country, both for its young women, and its young men, because we do not have the troop strength, the weaponry, the manufacturing, or the money right now to successfully combat Russia in a conventional war.

US IS ONCE AGAIN THE AIRFORCE OF ISIS, STRIKING SYRIAN FORCES IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY

Syria and its Russian ally have condemned a deadly US-led coalition air raid against pro-Syrian government forces in a desert area near the country's border with Jordan and Iraq.
Coalition fighter jets on Thursday struck a convoy of militiamen advancing inside a protected "deconfliction zone" north-west of the southern town of al-Tanf, the military alliance said in a statement.

The US, which is leading an air campaign in Syria targeting groups such as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS), said the convoy's advance had posed a threat to US and US-backed Syrian rebel forces in the area.

"This brazen attack by the so-called international coalition exposes the falseness of its claims to be fighting terrorism," a Syrian military source told state media on Friday, confirming that the bombing had killed "a number of people" and caused material damage.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Bombing a sovereign nation, which has done nothing to this country, except to want to continue to exist under its current leadership, is a war crime.

Both Russia and Syria have every right to be condemning this act, which is part of a concerted, multi-pronged US/Israeli desire to see "regime change" in Damascus.

I don't know what odds Vegas bookies are giving the possibility of US/Russian ground conflict here, but to me, it looks like the probabilities of such a conflict are growing exponentially.

A war against Russia right now over Syria would be the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing the US government could do right now.

Unfortunately, this being stated, however, that is utterly no guarantee that the US government won't do just that.

And right at this moment, in its history, the US military does not have the weaponry; the troop strength; the money, or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome from a conventional war against Russia.

EU Combined Military HQ To Be Launched ‘Within Days

European Union leaders plan to move forward with the creation of an EU military headquarters within the next few days – and warn that Britain may still be expected to take part, even after Brexit.
Plans to set up a joint Military Planning and Conduct Capability (MPCC) facility, agreed by all 28 member states in March, had been stalled by British objections to the facility having an operational military role.

But speaking to reports in Brussels following a meeting of EU defence ministers on Thursday, the EU’s Foreign Affairs commissioner Federica Mogherini said the path was now clear, and plans would be progressed within the next few days.

“I understand it is finalised. I understand we have a couple of days to have the official text in place,” she said.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but just why does the EU need a standing military?!?

For financial and regulatory enforcement, if Brussels feels member nations are not "paying their fair share", or if they decide to leave?!?

What precisely, will be their mission?!?

And why now?!?

These are all troubling signs, because as thinking people know, to establish a military means that there is a strong desire to use that against some alleged "existential threat".

And just what is the "threat" to the EU, now that Britain has broken away with the Brexit?!? IS this military force being established to prevent other member nations from leaving?!?

And is this not the polar opposite of that value, enshrined in the UN charter, which is peaceful self-determination?!?

I have infinitely more questions than answers here.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – MAY 19, 2017: US-LED FORCES FIGHTS WITH SYRIAN ARMY FOR IRAQI BORDER

Warplanes operating under the US-led coalition carried out airstrikes against a Syrian Arab Army (SAA) convoy advancing along the Al-Tanf-Damascus-Baghdad international road. The airstrikes targeted Syrian forces in Al-Shuhaimi area, 50 km from the town of Al-Tanf located at the Syrian-Iraqi border.

The airstrikes destroyed two battle tanks, and damaged a Shilka vehicle, several pickups and trucks. Six SAA fighters lost their life and 3 were injured.

The US-led coalition said that the airstrikes were “warning shots” against Shiite militias. However, Shiite militias operation at the Al-Tanf road don’t have tanks or Shilka vehicles and there were many pictures and videos showing the presence of elements of the SAA in the area.

The US airstrikes on government forces are a clear signal that Washington are seeking prevent the Syrian government from taking control over the border and to build a buffer zone between Syria and Iraq that could establish an alliance in the near future.

New Chinese Military Base in Africa Presents Security Concerns for US

China’s first non-domestic military outpost is slated to be finished by the end of the summer, according to Marine General Thomas Waldhauser, who said the base presents security concerns to the US.

The 90-acre naval base is located a mere four miles from the headquarters of US African Command, Camp Lemonnier, in Djibouti, where some 3,000 to 4,000 US personnel are stationed at any given time.

Under Waldhauser’s watch, the US hopes to keep tabs on what China does and does not do at the new base. Waldhauser recently requested an audience with Djibouti President Ismail Omar, to whom he "expressed [US] concerns about some of the things that are important to us about what the Chinese should not do at that location."

Hundreds of soldiers from the US Marine Corps landed in Norway earlier this year to protect the Nordic country from the perceived Russian threat. However, they were faced with a more extreme (and real) threat, which they so far have no answer to.

US Marines from the Værnes garrison that took part in the exercise Joint Viking near the Norwegian-Russian border found their cold-weather gear unfit for the extreme Nordic cold and may be facing an equipment overhaul. The drills held in the snow-covered barren Arctic landscape helped reveal crucial deficiencies in the US Marines' equipment.

US: Syria Restoring Its Territory Will 'Not Be Accepted'

As we reported last week the Syrian army is making progress in the southern desert. It is edging eastwards towards the Iraqi border and towards joint US-rebel positions at al-Tanf border crossing.

We asked what happens when these two forces come within shooting distance of each other.

The question is all the more acute now as it has become apparent the US believes Syria requires US permission to restore its territory. As The Telegraph reports:

The US has sent a clear message that any government advance towards their base will not be accepted. However, it is unclear how the special forces will react to any serious provocation.

You may have thought it would be the US which required government permission to set itself up in al-Tanf, but apparently it's the other way around. It must be that al-Tanf is actually in Arizona or New Mexico.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Invading and bombing a sovereign country, which has done absolutely nothing against the US, as has been the case in Syria, where there is utterly no declaration of war, constitutes a war crime; I wish someone could explain that to President Trump.

But as I indicated in an article I posted yesterday, President "Moriarty" Trump believes war is great for the US economy, as he is on the cusp of his first visit as President to Saudi Arabia to sign new weapons deals with the Saudi government, which will be used to further the genocide in Yemen, as well as ultimately bring about a shooting war between Iran and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia characterises Iran as its "existential threat" in the region.

But the Saudis (and the American military) had better be aware that should Iran be attacked, both political and civilian leaders in Russia have vowed to come to Iran's aid.

War against Russia, in light of the fact that the US military doesn't have the troop strength, the weaponry, the money or the manufacturing to win a convention war against Russia?!?

I really don't think so!!

Thousands of Hezbollah Forces Deployed in Al-Tanf to Foil US Plot in Syria

The US is now trying to carve out southern Syria which is why the US is bombing the Syrian Armored Divisions. Here we go.

Most of the forces had earlier been stationed in al-Zabadani, Madhaya and Sarqaya regions as well as the Western parts of the town of al-Tofail and Brital, Ham and Ma'araboun heights in the Eastern mountain.

Other units, including the Syrian army allies, have also been sent to this front to block the way to the US-backed forces.

The Buttinski Should Butt Out of Korea

Korea is none of the U.S. government’s business. The only proper course of action is for the Pentagon and the CIA to exit the country and bring those 23,000 American soldiers stationed in Korea home. No negotiations. No agreements. No talks. Just butt out of what is none of your business and exit the scene by coming home.

Why are there 23,000 U.S. troops in Korea? It’s because the U.S. government, headed by President Harry S. Truman and his newly established national-security establishment, decided to intervene in another country’s civil war more than half-a-century ago.

Forty-Five Blows Against Democracy: How U.S. Military Bases Back Dictators, Autocrats, and Military Regimes

Much outrage has been expressed in recent weeks over President Donald Trump’s invitation for a White House visit to Rodrigo Duterte, president of the Philippines, whose “war on drugs” has led to thousands of extrajudicial killings. Criticism of Trump was especially intense given his similarly warm public support for other authoritarian rulers like Egypt’s Abdel Fatah al-Sisi (who visited the Oval Office to much praise only weeks earlier), Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan (who got a congratulatory phone call from President Trump on his recent referendum victory, granting him increasingly unchecked powers), and Thailand’s Prayuth Chan-ocha (who also received a White House invitation).

Residents near Fairchild Air Force Base advised to not drink tap water

Officials say the Airway Heights water supply may be contaminated with chemicals from Fairchild Air Force Base just west of Spokane.

The city and Air Force said in a joint statement Tuesday evening that Airway Heights water customers are advised to not drink city water nor use it for cooking until the water system is considered free of contaminants.

The US Will Never Win the War in Afghanistan

The United States is pouring money into a corrupt sewer. The World Justice Project’s 2016 Rule of Law Index ranked Afghanistan 111 of 113 countries assessed. Despite U.S. arms, aid and training, its divided and demoralized security forces can’t stand up to the Taliban.

We are asking our military to build a nation on the other side of the world, dispatching soldiers who don’t know the language, the culture, the religion, the ethnic and sectarian divisions or the history. The one thing that may unify Afghanistan’s tribes is their pride in their independence. Afghanistan is known as the “graveyard of empires.” Its people routed the British forces repeatedly from 1839 to 1919 when Britain ruled the world. Its mujahideen defeated the Soviet Union’s invasion in the 1980s. The United States, with the most powerful military in the world, may avoid defeat for as long as it wants to waste lives and resources, but it will not win.

Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word please; doing the same thing precisely the same way, over and over, yet expecting a different outcome, is one of the most classic definitions of insanity.

Please declare victory and leave, getting our and NATO's troops out of the country as quickly as safely possible.

Then, negotiate with whatever government is left standing for the pipeline and mineral rights.

Trump Advisers Want at Least 50,000 US Troops in Afghanistan

While publicly US strategy in the Afghan War has been based around the conceit that the conflict is in a “stalemate,” despite mounting losses by the Afghan government. Advisers have offered a classified assessment on the conflict recently, however, conceding that the Ghani government’s survival is at risk, and that the war is being “slowly” lost.

Their solution, as with everyone else, is even bigger escalation, with reports from those familiar with the plan saying that the US needs “more than 50,000” ground troops in Afghanistan to ensure Ghani’s survival, with an eye toward eventually defeating the Taliban.

That’s a big escalation, and a much bigger one than has been suggested in previous reports, which initially presented the proposed escalation as 3,000 to 5,000, and most recently made it a choice between 3,000 or keeping troop levels flat. The Pentagon is evasive about troop levels in recent months, but around 8,400 troops are believed to presently be in Afghanistan.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Forgive me, but where the heck are these 50,000 troops supposed to come from, without the reinstitution of the draft, given the stretched-thin state of the American military?!?

There is utterly no military metric by which the US/NATO invasion and occupation of Afghanistan can possibly be characterised as a "success" (unless you want to brand the burgeoning opium poppy trade, which is funding off the shelf operations for various "alphabet soup agencies, over which Congress has utterly no oversight, a "success").

Images: US troops guarding opium poppy fields in Afghanistan

What the US government and NATO should do is to withdraw troops as quickly as safely possible, then negotiate with whatever government is left standing Kabul for the pipeline and mineral rights.

Of course, that...would be logical.

Those pipeline rights were what got the US government and military embroiled in Afghanistan in the first place.

Trump’s Plan Finally Becomes Clear. “War is Good for Business”

The first stage of U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to restore America’s former dominance as a “manufacturing country” will be announced this coming weekend in Riyadh Saudi Arabia and Washington DC, but its outlines are now already more than clear.

The biggest-ever foreign sale of U.S.-made weaponry will be announced at that time, and, according to a little-noticed report by Reuters on May 12th, an unidentified U.S. government official informed Reuters that “We are in the final stages of a series of deals,” whose size will be of truly extraordinary historic proportions.

Trump will announce during this, his first trip abroad as the U.S. President, starting on Friday May 19th, deals for the fundamentalist-Sunni government of Saudi Arabia to purchase more than $100 billion, and perhaps more even than $300 billion, in U.S.-made weaponry.

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF, in fact, this analysis is true (and I tend to agree with this author), we are looking at generations of endless war and destruction,so long as nuclear annihilation is not triggered.

But when the American military understands that they do not have the weaponry, the troop strength, the money, or the manufacturing to assure a conventional victory against whoever is the "victim du jour" of those in the bowels of power in the Unhinged Surveilled States of America, that is when those little brass keys will be turned to unleash this country's nuclear arsenal.

Does anyone remember the Sherlock Holmes film " Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows", in which the evil Professor Moriarty was eager to see a war, any war, start in Europe, because he had a lock on both the bullets and the bandages, and would profit handsomely from the outcome of such a war?!?

The cold, hard reality here is that it won't be Donald Trump who will profit directly from these deals with Saudi Arabia; but his big-time military/industrial complex friends will , and that means big time donations to his re-election campaign, assuming he stays in office.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you....President Donald "Moriarty" Trump.

US Strike Group Headed by USS Ronald Reagan Begins Patrol in Indo-Asia-Pacific

The aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan, guided-missile cruiser Shiloh, guided-missile destroyers Barry, John S, are included in the patrol, as well as McCain, McCampbell and Mustin, and aircraft from the Carrier Air Wing 5.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Ronald Reagan is still contaminated from Fukushima. Will it be used as the new "USS Maine" to start a major war?

USS Carl Vinson to Remain Near Shores of Korean Peninsula in Open-Ended Mission

The US aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson strike group, which has been stationed near the Korean peninsula since April, will remain deployed in the region for an indefinite period in the light of Pyongyang’s recent nuclear missile test, local media reported Tuesday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Call me silly, but "indefinite deployment" of the USS Carl Vinson strike group does not auger well for peace, particularly in light of the following disturbing development:

Seoul May Launch Preemptive Strike in Case of ‘Imminent’ Pyongyang Attack

The article goes on to state: "South Korea may carry out a preemptive strike if it becomes evident that North Korea will launch a massive missile attack against the country, South Korean Defense Minister Han Min-koo said Tuesday".

This statement appears to be completely at odds with South Korean President-elect Moon's "Sunshine Policy", which favors engagement with North Korea, almost as though Defense Minister Han "didn't get the memo".

So I have to wonder: Is Defense Minister Han DC's "Man" in South Korea?!? What could possibly be the agenda of making a threat like this, other than to provoke Kim Jun-un to do something completely, and irrevocably stupid?

The short answer is, there is no other reason; and that is cause for concern.

Are They Really Out to Get Trump?

The rationale Trump haters have fabricated is simple: the president and his team colluded with the Russians to rig the 2016 election in his favor, which, if true, would provide grounds for impeachment. The driving force, in terms of the argument being made, is that removing Trump must be done “for the good of the country” and to “correct a mistake made by the American voters.” The mainstream media is completely on board of the process, including the outlets that flatter themselves by describing their national stature, most notably the New York Times and Washington Post.

So what is to be done? For starters, until Donald Trump has unambiguously broken a law the critics should take a Valium and relax.

Spread of combat, cholera wreaks misery, collapse in Yemen

Spilling into the hallways of crowded Yemeni hospitals, children writhe in pain from cholera. Displaced villagers roam baking hot plains and barren mountains to evade warring militias.

The escalating outbreak of disease and displacement of tens of thousands by recent fighting has inflamed one of the world's worst humanitarian crises, pushing Yemen's war-pummeled society ever nearer to collapse.

Cholera - a diarrheal disease spread by food or water tainted with human faeces - has killed 180 people in less than three weeks, according to the Geneva-based International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

Samira Ali, a worried mother, expressed shock at the scene at Sabaeen Hospital in Sanaa, the ancient capital in the north held by the armed Houthi movement since late 2015.

"My young son suddenly started suffering from severe diarrhea. We went to the hospital and found it full, we couldn't find a place," said Ali, a teacher.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to wonder if this pandemic was deliberately started by the Saudi coalition, through fouling Yemen's water sources; it has been certainly been done before:

During the closing stages of the Rhodesian Bush War, the Rhodesian government resorted to use chemical and biological warfare agents. Watercourses at several sites inside the Mozambique border were deliberately contaminated with cholera.

As death from malnutrition stalks the country, because the US-enabled Saudi military have blocked Yemeni ports, meaning food cannot get in, starving children are most likely to get sick and die more quickly.

Images: Yemeni children starving to death from malnutrition

And yet, the House of Saud; the Saudi Government; the Saudi Military; the US government and US military are completely morally comfortable with these horrific deaths by malnutrition, now coupled with this cholera pandemic.

So I have to ask myself: what kind of monsters are these people for whom the indirect slaughter and genocide of innocent kids, from malnutrition and cholera, is perfectly fine?!?

GAO: Thousands discharged for military misconduct had mental health diagnosis

The top government watchdog said Tuesday that nearly a quarter of U.S. troops discharged for misconduct were given other-than-honorable discharges despite previously being diagnosed with a mental health condition.

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) in its report faulted branches of the Department of Defense (DOD) for having policies inconsistent with — or poor enforcement of — official Pentagon rules for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI) or sexual trauma.

“As a result of policy inconsistencies and limited monitoring, DOD has little assurance that certain service members diagnosed with PTSD or TBI receive the required screening and counseling prior to being separated for misconduct and that all service members, including officers, have been trained on how to identify symptoms of mild TBI in the deployed setting,” the GAO wrote.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This absolutely stinks, and our military absolutely deserve far better than this. I would like to hope that President Trump will address this, and get this issue resolved.

RETIRED GREEN BERET WARNS A SUCCESSFUL DERAILMENT OF TRUMP'S EFFORTS IS WELL UNDER WAY; WAR IS INEVITABLE

With the Republicans in control of both the Senate and the House of Representatives, at this point, the bill to repeal Obamacare should have already passed both houses of Congress and been on the President’s desk to sign: this was not done, and the Republican Party is to blame.

If the President is unable to make a change while he has both houses of Congress under Republican control, what will happen after the Midterm election changes the complexion of Congress and makes it Democrat? How will he be reelected, and if so, to what end? He waited too long to fire Comey…a name that will torment us in the news even more than that of Natalie Holloway…and now it is turning around to bite him. What is the solution?

Webmaster's Commentary:

There are a number of possible theatres where such a war could start.

But I would like to suggest to President Trump that after 16 consecutive years of war, the American public is both war-weary, and war-skeptical.

I have mentioned many times at this blog, that under President Trump, we will probably see the reinstitution of the draft in this country, for both our young men, and our young women.

But there are some difficult challenges here, and these are, that at this time in its history, the US military doesn't have the weaponry; the money; the manufacturing; or the troop strength to prevail successfully in a conventional war against the most likely opponents, Russia and/or China.

If President Trump does not move to resolve these problems, and quickly, the US military will most likely, lose the next major military conflict because of the issues I have just mentioned.

Last 1,000 rebels leave Damascus district under evacuation deal

More than 1,000 insurgents and their families left an opposition-held district of Damascus on Monday, completing an agreement between the Syrian government and rebels, Syrian state media outlets and a war monitoring group said.

Well over 3,000 people have left Qaboun in two days of evacuations, paving the way for the government to regain control of the area, the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

They headed for areas still under opposition control east of the Syrian capital, or for the northwestern province of Idlib, also held by insurgents, it said.

Syria's military released a statement saying it had "returned peace and security to the Qaboun area" after killing many insurgents and blowing up tunnels they had used for supplies.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I'd believe the Syrian military statement far above that of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights; however, IF, in fact, this is true, today is a very good day for the Syrian government and military.

Turkey’s War on Kurds Increasingly Crosses Borders: Erdogan's US Visit to Focus on His Anger at US Support for YPG

Officially, Turkey considers itself at war with the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), a war which has lasted decades. Increasingly, however, PKK is being very vaguely defined, and includes Kurdish groups in several countries which Turkey argues are all basically PKK.

Doing this has allowed Turkey to go after limited PKK forces who have crossed the border into Iraq or Syria, but as lines blur, it’s tough to argue that Turkey isn’t just at war with Kurds in general at this point, particularly in Syria, where the PKK is virtually non-existent, and Turkey is after the YPG claiming they are the same group.

It is this interest in warring with the YPG, and with Kurds as such, that will be a big focus of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his upcoming visit to the US, where he will express outrage at US military support provided to the YPG to fight against ISIS, arguing that amounts to backing a terrorist group.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem for Erdogan, is not so much the Kurds in Syria, as it is the US government's desire to carve out an independent Kurdistan in Syria, as a "buffer state" between Turkey and Syria.

CARVING OUT “KURDISTAN” IS THE US’ NEW END GAME IN SYRIA

I am watching the Faux feed as I type this, and Presidents Trump and Erdogan are making their joint statement. Turkish President Erdogan is NOT smiling.

President Trump has his work cut out for him, to convince Erdogan that a neighboring Kurdistan will be a "good thing", because it will balkanize bits of Syria, and that will help keep Turkey safe.

I have to wonder what the "quid pro quo" on this US-created independent Kurdistan will be, behind closed doors.

And apparently, no one has sent Syrian President Bashir Al Assad the memo that the establishment of such a country will gobble up hunks of the sovereign state of Syria.

STATE DEPARTMENT: RENAMED AL-QAEDA NOT A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION - CAN RECEIVE CIA SUPPLIES

Max Abrams, a professor who works about terrorism, came up with this new definition of "terrorism":

Nonstate actors who use violence against civilians for a political goal and haven't been supported by the US.

The highlighted part is "new" to those who have not learned from history and the many occasions of U.S. support for (typically extremely right-wing) terrorist organizations like the "contras" in Nicaragua, OUN fascists in Ukraine or Jihadi Mujaheddin in Afghanistan. It can indeed be argued that the U.S. created al-Qaeda as well as the Islamic State (ISIS).

But lets just be happy that people get again reminded of the issue.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So the cold, hard reality here, is that the Government of the United States, and its military, DOES support "Nonstate actors who use violence against civilians..."

How the Sam Hill did this country get to the point of "The ends justify the means", no matter how horrific, and murderous those means are?!?

I am totally disgusted by, and mourn for, my late country, now having devolved from the United States of America into the Unhinged and Surveilled States of America. All Hail, the USSA!

With all of these military misadventures for the last 16 years (ultimately, for private profit) into which the US military have been blithely ordered, none of them can be characterised, by any metric, as being "on the right side of history", or morality, for that matter.

REPORT: U.S., BRITISH FORCES ENTER SOUTHERN SYRIA ALONGSIDE TERRORISTS; IS A BIGGER BATTLE SHAPING UP?

Days after reports that Damascus was on high alert due to increased U.S. troop levels on the Jordanian border and an apparent preparation for an invasion from the south and southeast, the United States and Britain have indeed pushed into Syria from the very location earlier reports suggested would be used.

The reports were released first from the SMART News Agency, which writes that approximately 150 U.S. and British military personnel have entered Syria from Jordan.

SMART News Agency has provided video evidence of their claims. This video reportedly shows several military personnel in armed Humvees engaging in a firefight alongside terrorist forces, who were operating the cameras. Indeed, the familiar “Allahu Akbar” chant can be heard throughout the video.

Hamimah is around 90 km east of Palmyra, near the Deir ez-Zour countryside. Albukamal is also located nearby, a town of strategic importance to the U.S.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't know what the Vegas odds-makers are betting on the timing of a a direct conflict between US/UK troops and Syrian/Russian troops, but were I a betting woman, I could not bet against such a scenario, and very soon for the following reason:

CARVING OUT “KURDISTAN” IS THE US’ NEW END GAME IN SYRIA

NATO BUILDS INFRASTRUCTURE FOR PERMANENT MILITARY PRESENCE NEAR RUSSIA'S BORDERS

A group of about 50 combat engineers based at Canadian Forces Base Gagetown were deployed to Latvia on April 29 as part of Operation Reassurance. The mission is to build a town for 500 soldiers. According to commanding officer Lt.-Col. Chris Cotton, the installation will have «everything you would expect in a small town, from its kitchen to its quarters, its electrical distribution system, water distribution system, internet, gym facilities that would allow people to survive over the long term in Latvia». Obviously, this is an element of vast infrastructure to provide for a long-term commitment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These massive, permanent deployments, coupled with these exercises, not auger well for peace between Russia and Europe at all.

TERRORIST CONFESSES TO TAKING PART IN STAGED CHEMICAL WEAPONS ATTACKS IN SYRIA, WESTERN MEDIA SILENT

After the bombings, as more and more evidence came to light, it became so obvious that the Syrian government had nothing to do with the attacks that any further reference to Khan Sheykhoun should now conjure up memories of an American empire looking for any reason to launch attacks against Syria, so much so that it is ready to slaughter children under the guise of seeking revenge for the killing of children.

Now, however, there is little doubt left as to whether or not the Syrian government was involved in the attack since one of the West’s proxy terrorists recently confessed to taking part in the staging of the attack to be blamed on the Syrian government.

According to a report by Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA),

Webmaster's Commentary:

DEEP STATE AGAIN TRIES TO BLOCK DIALOGUE WITH RUSSIA: WASHINGTON POST’S PHONEY STORY ABOUT TRUMP’S LEAK

Washington Post story Trump leaked 'classified information' to Lavrov is phony and a further attempt to prevent a meaningful dialogue between the US and Russia.

The Washington Post story about President Trump’s supposed leak of highly classified intelligence information about ISIS to the Russians is a case study of the lengths to which the President’s enemies are prepared to go in order to discredit him and to stop any chance of a rapprochement with Russia.
Briefly, the Washington Post claims that Trump told Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov and the Russians during his recent meeting with them in the Oval Office information about an alleged plot by ISIS to carry out attacks on passenger aircraft using laptops. The Washington Post describes Trump’s supposed wrongdoing in this way

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Washington Compost has lost whatever microcosm of credibility it ever had left, by publishing this "fake news", and this piece of codswallop reminds us to the degree of subterfuge and outright lying it will do to accommodate its masters in the Deep American State, who want to see this country in a perpetual state of war.

After all, it will never be their kids who get blown to bloody bits or maimed for life, even if there is a return to a draft in this country.

Flashback: Bill Clinton gave China missile technology

With all this talk of Russians allegedly interfering in U.S. elections, it is worth recalling that it wasn’t too long ago that the previous Democrat in the White House betrayed America by working hand in hand with our Communist enemies in mainland China.

As president, Bill Clinton essentially wiped out any strategic advantage the U.S. had by selling advanced U.S. missile technology to our enemy, the People’s Republic of China.

That “administration’s voluntary release of all the secrets of America’s nuclear tests, combined with the systematic theft of the secrets that were left as a result of its lax security controls, effectively wiped out America’s technological edge,” David Horowitz writes in the recently published, The Black Book of the American Left Volume 7: The Left in Power: Clinton to Obama.

Military Seeks Machine Learning To Interpret Big Data For A.I. Warfare

By Nicholas West

Even as the military has downplayed its willingness to delegate lethal decision making to artificial intelligence, it appears to be developing systems which could do exactly that.

The rise of Big Data has been a boon for the military and surveillance industries, as the exponential increase in computer processing power has enabled the collection and storage of information on a scale and speed never before seen. However, with that collection and storage also comes the need to meaningfully analyze it. So far, that has been a restriction which is not proving easy to overcome.

Nowhere is this challenge better highlighted than in warfare...

Are You Ready to Die? — Paul Craig Roberts

If you convince someone that you are going to kill them, they are going to kill you first. A government, such as what exists in Washington, that convinces powerful countries that they are targeted, is a government that has no respect whatsoever for the lives of its own people or the peoples of the world or for any life on planet Earth. Such a government as Washington is evil beyond all measure, as are the media whores and European, Canadian, Australian, and Japanese vassal states that serve Washington at the expense of their own citizens.

Ron Paul urges President Trump to scrap top generals’ war plans

President Trump’s Generals all seem to be pushing for a major U.S. military escalation in the Middle East and south Asia. The President goes back and forth, one minute saying “we’re not going into Syria,” while the next seeming to favor another surge. He has given the military much decision-making latitude and may be persuaded by his Generals that the only solution is to go in big. If he follows such advice, it is likely his presidency itself will be buried in that graveyard of empires.
