Russia Has "Irrefutable Evidence" UK Staged Syrian Chemical Attack

As the blame game over the alleged chemical attack in Syria escalates ahead of what is expected to be an imminent, if contained, air strike campaign by the US, UK and/or France against Syria, on Friday morning, Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow had "irrefutable evidence" that the attack - which allegedly killed more than 40 people in an April 7 chemical weapons strike on the former rebel outpost of Douma -was staged with the help of a foreign secret service.

"We have irrefutable evidence that this was another staged event, and that the secret services of a certain state that is now at the forefront of a Russophobic campaign was involved in this staged event," he said during a press conference according to AFP.

Moscow Prepares For Nuclear War: “Stock Your Bunkers With Water And Foodstuffs”

The United States and Russia have been engaged in a war of words over military intervention in Syria, with both countries now mobilizing their armed forces in preparation for conflict. Though the U.S. public doesn’t appear to consider the developing situation in the region as a serious threat, the citizens of Moscow are being urged to prepare for nuclear war with America by stockpiling essential and life saving goods in their homes and bunkers.

Russian state-owned television is urging the country’s residents to stock their bunkers with water and basic foodstuffs because Moscow could go to war with Washington.

The Deep State Closes In On the Donald

Perhaps we have missed something: Like the possibility that the canyons of Wall Street are actually located on another planet several light years from earth!

Otherwise, how can you explain the equipoise of a stock market sitting at the tippy-top of a nine-year bubble expansion and confronted with the potential outbreak of World War Three?

Folks, like some alien abductors, the Deep State has taken the Donald hostage, and with ball-and-chain finality. Whatever pre-election predilection he had to challenge the Warfare State has apparently been completely liquidated.

Trump’s early AM tweet today, in fact, embodies the words of a man who had more than a few screws loose when he took the oath, but under the relentless pounding of the Imperial City’s investigators, partisans, apparatchiks and lynch-mob media has now gone stark raving mad. To wit:

Donald Trump: ‘Too Bad’ the World Expects Us to Respond in Syria

President Donald Trump signaled disappointment that the world expected the United States to act in Syria in response to the use of chemical weapons in the country.

“It is too bad that the world puts us in a position like that,” Trump told reporters at the White House on Thursday after a meeting with members of Congress.

The president explained that he and his military advisors would be “looking very seriously” at options for a response during a meeting on Thursday.

He praised the United States for “devastating” the Islamic State in Syria but did not indicate what he planned to do in response to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad who was accused of launching chemical weapons attack on the Syrian people.

“We’ll see what happens folks, we’ll see what happens,” Trump said.

WHITE HOUSE: THE RATIONALE FOR WAR WITH SYRIA IS TOP SECRET

The White House has declined to comment on why they think they have the legal authority to strike Syria without congressional approval. This comes as the Trump administration puts “all options on the table” and tries to decide how much damage to inflict on the war-torn nation.

The president has the authority to deploy military force in the interest of self-defense, but outside that rationale, the president’s legal authority becomes murkier. And striking Syria is not in the interest of self-defense, but a provocative escalation of war. Critics simply want president Donald Trump to declare why he thinks it’s necessary to inflame an issue over what’s amounting to a false flag chemical attack.

But what the White House does have, is a seven-page memo that they say “makes the case” for a strike.

The bad news is: possibly both. And no, there is no good news.

Anyone who believes that governments create reality is living in a fantasy world, and is surely no conservative, neo- or otherwise, either politically or temperamentally. As the conservative philosopher Claes Ryn has pointed out,

“Only great conceit could inspire a dream of armed world hegemony. The ideology of benevolent American empire and global democracy dresses up a voracious appetite for power. It signifies the ascent to power of a new kind of American, one profoundly at odds with that older type who aspired to modesty and self-restraint.”

China Says Xi Speech Was "Not A Concession" To Trump, Denies Any Trade Talks Took Place

Last week, in an attempt to soothe jittery markets, Trump's chief economic advisor Larry Kudlow said the US and China would probably strike an agreement to stop tariffs from being imposed - though he admitted that talks hadn't started just yet.

Well, more than a week later, the two sides have apparently made zero progress toward a deal, because early Thursday, Beijing hit back with a pair of announcements that are sure to pop the bubble of trade-war optimism that has buoyed markets this week, according to CNBC.

First, China's Ministry of Commerce confirmed that there have not been any trade negotiations between the two sides at any level recently. It added that the liberalization measures touted by President Xi Jinping and PBOC Gov. Yi Gang pertained solely to China proactively opening up its market - not trade.

Forget about Gaza, bomb Assad! Israeli hawks urge US to strike Syria over Douma ‘chem attack’

Israeli officials have called on the US to attack the Syrian Army, following what they called a “shocking attack” in Douma. Israel’s own crackdown on Gaza protesters was “self-defense” and not worthy of attention, they said.

Washington must launch a strike against Damascus in response to the alleged chemical attack in the city of Douma, the Israeli Strategic Affairs and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan told the Army Radio on Sunday, commenting on the reports coming from anti-government groups in Syria. Erdan also said he personally hopes that the US would take military action against the Syrian government, which he blamed for the attack, the Jerusalem Post reports. The minister added that the Douma incident shows the “need” for a US troop buildup in Syria.

Trump Backing Away From Attack On Syria

Secretary of Defense James Mattis also went out of his way to downplay the chances of an imminent strike. Mattis told the House Armed Services committee that the decision to attack had to be balanced against the risk of a new war escalating out of control.

The sudden level of awareness about the war they were itching to start just a day prior isn’t being officially explained. Instead, Trump et al are all suggesting that the several days of very public talk of a new war never happened at all.

In reality, reports suggest that the White House has been inundated with phone calls over the possible attack on Syria, and that those phone calls were overwhelmingly opposed to the idea.>>>

Trump’s Exit Door Is Open on Syrian Attack

***
Trump claims he’s about to order the attack. But it is also a Trumpean message. The second part is addressed to the Kremlin and speaks about potential US-Russia cooperation to mutual benefit. Trump offers the bait of negotiations on curbing arms race, which is a priority issue for Russia.

Trump apparently thinks he’s ‘negotiating’ a ‘win-win’ solution by dangling a carrot and expecting Moscow to stand aside and letting the US attack on Syria go ahead. It’s tragi-comic, to say the least, that US diplomacy has come to such a pass – POTUS negotiating Syria as if it’s a property deal in Manhattan.

Virginia Senator Richard Black: CIA Is Pushing False Flag In Syria - Claims Hillary Ordered Murder Of Chris Stevens In Benghazi

Our friend Bobby Powell conducted this interview two months ago with Virginia Senator Richard Black. It's not like we haven't been telling people for years the truth about Syria and how the only real problem there is the US funding, training and arming Islamic jihadis to overthrow the Assad regime. And, despite a new president who told you that we didn't need to be there, he's already launched missiles into the country over rumors of an Assad attack with no evidence and is apparently getting ready to attack again with no evidence and no congressional authority as outlined in our Constitution.

Virginia Senator Dick Black exposes the WMD false flag in Syria, which was really carried out by the remnants of ISIS and not Syrian President Assad.

Think. Why would Assad use chemical weapons on civilians, knowing that it would draw world-wide condemnation and US intervention, when the jihadists are surrounded and on the brink of annihilation?

Irredeemably Flawed and Deeply Harmful US Coalition Cannot Get the ‘Job’ Done in Syria

Mainstream media in the West would like us to believe that US President Donald Trump is in the process of building a coalition of allies to participate in a multi-nation strike force attack against the Syrian government.

This talk of coalition action reflects the rapid escalation of plans since US officials embraced Saturday’s allegations of a chemical weapons strike. This crisply formulated aphorism just might require a bit of updating:

A- The War Party built that dubious coalition seven years ago to regime change Syria and failed>>>
***
B-- Instead of a one-off strike, as with last April’s tomahawk missile bombardment of Syria, the US seems to be envisioning starting a wave of attacks against Syria using the chemical pretext all over again>>>
***
C- This whole saga began when the US and its terror proxies claimed Syrian forces carried out chemical attacks against the rebel-held city of Douma on Saturday. >>>

G- Away from an acute lack of capability, the US and its allies know that a costly, and inconclusive war in the region will certainly destabilize the planet. Israeli-Saudi involvement assures that the war will quickly include Iranian and resistance forces in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Palestine. All of this, as well as the risks of 200 dollars a barrel crude oil and the foolish war expanding across the Yemeni and Syrian borders, has filled the criminals with such fright that a full-scale war is deemed as a bad idea for Washington and a host of lackeys. And that's exactly why the US has embarked on forming a coalition unlike its last year missile strike in the hope that it could convince Moscow to back off and allow a limited strike on Syria. The last time that a nation sought to raise the stakes to convince Moscow to give some room and space to others in Syria was a couple of years ago, when the Russian president proved his skills in using crisis escalation policy and made his Turkish counterpart to extend an official apology for shooting down a Russian warplane. And this is just the beginning and we have not even started talking about Iran's reaction yet. Two senior Iranian commanders were in Syria in mid 2017 and each sent a warning signal to the US and Israel in their statements during their visit to the war-ravaged country, but apparently Washington has treated them as usual words and failed to decipher the message. They need to take a look back to realize that a contained engagement is too small to bring them a share and an effective role in Syria. >>>

Did Trump jump the gun with Twitter threat of strikes on Syria? President meets top military brass and national security advisor as the White House tries to downplay threat to launch missiles

Two of Donald Trump's highest-level strategic advisers were at the White House on Wednesday as he weighed whether, when and how hard to strike at Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad's regime following his deadly chemical weapons attack on anti-government rebels and civilians.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen were all at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for what one official described as an 'all hands' meeting with the president's top-shelf national security advisers.

The group also included National Security Advisor John Bolton and Vice President Mike Pence, who White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said chaired the meeting.

The meeting raised questions over whether Trump's early-morning twitter threat to Russia and Syria that he would use missiles which they could not shoot down was made before he had full military advice.

US Intervention in Syria Will Kill Far More Children than Assad’s Alleged Chemical Attack

This week, it seems that the U.S. military may be getting the green light to escalate their war in Syria, after an alleged chemical weapons attack in Douma, which was consequently blamed on Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

Most Americans don’t realize it, but the U.S. military has already been at war in Syria for years, with indiscriminate drone strikes that many times kill innocent civilians, with thousands of troops also on the ground. This is a war that has been waged without the knowledge of most Americans and without a declaration of war from Congress.

The coverage that this war has received in the mainstream press—from both liberal and conservative sources—has suggested that the US military is just there trying to help. However, classified State Department documents leaked in 2015 showed that regime change in Syria has been a major goal of the US establishment since well before the Arab Spring when the protests and rebellions in the region began.

US: OPCW Mission to Douma Is Nice but Won’t Affect Trump’s Response

Having been invited by the Syrians and guaranteed safety by the Russians, the chemical weapons watchdog, the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons founded by the Chemical Weapons Convention, is dispatching a fact-finding mission to Douma to investigate the accusations that Syrian army used chemical weapons against civilians.

The US response? An official has told the UAE-based The National that while this was “good” it won’t affect White House deliberations on whether to launch strikes on Syria or not:

In response to the allegations, Syria said it has invited the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to investigate the suspected poison gas attack, which opposition activists say killed 40 people and wounded hundreds over the weekend.

However, a US official told The National, that while “Washington welcomes the OPCW mission, it will not affect the US decision on a response to Syria.”

COMMENTARY: The entrenched D.C. Swamp launches a war against President Donald Trump

A coup against President Donald Trump and his administration has begun.

Actually, it’s a coup … and a high-tech lynching … and a Joe McCarthy-like witch hunt … and a massive government conspiracy all rolled into one. The unelected deep state and D.C. Swamp are at war with our elected president.

Those mired in the D.C. Swamp tried to fix the election. They failed. They tried to frame Trump with illegal FISA wiretaps. They failed. They tried to frame Trump with Russian collusion. They failed. They tried to stop his tax cuts. They failed. They used the mainstream media to slander Trump with 93 percent negative coverage. They failed. They tried to fool us with fake news and fake polls. Thus the time for equivocation is over and the time for unvarnished truth has come. And the unvarnished truth where the current incumbent in the Oval Office, Donald J Trump, is concerned is that the world is dealing with an unhinged maniac more suited to sitting at the head of a New York mafia crime family than leading a nuclear-armed state.

His recent tweet, threatening Russia with a missile attack over the crisis in Syria, is inarguably the most disturbing and frightening public communication issued by an American president at any time in that country's history. Indeed it is so deranged it calls to mind Hitler's infamous speech in Berlin in 1940, during which the fascist dictator threatened Britain with invasion: "And when people in England today nosily inquire: ‘Well, why isn't he coming?' Calm yourselves: he is coming!"

War of Nerves: Why Trump is Unlikely to Launch a New Strike on Syria

US President Donald Trump is unlikely to deliver on his Twitter promise to launch a missile attack against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA), Lebanese military analysts told Sputnik, explaining that the potential move could prompt dramatic shifts in the Syrian war theater.

Donald Trump's threats to launch a strike on Syria is an attempt to shift the attention of the US public to the possibility of an overseas operation, Lebanese military analyst and Retired General Hisham Jaber told Sputnik Arabic.

According to Jaber, the US won't launch the attack the US president is tweeting about: "Russia remains a deterrent against this dangerous step. Russia has already stated that it will respond to a possible blow. The Shayrat airfield incident will not happen again," the military analyst stressed, referring to the April 7 2017 missile strike conducted by the US on the Syrian Arab Army's (SAA) airbase over the alleged chemical attack in Khan Sheikhoun, Idlib province.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I disagree. Trump (meaning the neocons that control him) will not back down.

France Likely to Strike Syria From Mainland – Reports

In the event France decides to strike Syria in response to the alleged use of chemical weapons by Syrian government forces in the city of Douma, it is more likely to launch the attack from an airbase located on its mainland rather than from its bases in the Middle East, Le Figaro reported on Wednesday.

According to Le Figaro newspaper, the French military command has already presented possible plans of action in Syria to Macron. The newspaper also noted, referring to air force specialists, that in the event military action is approved, the most likely scenario would be for France to strike Syria from its Saint-Dizier base, located in the country's northeast, not from its bases in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, for example, since these countries do not want to be involved in military operations against their neighbor Syria.

UK Submarines Sent Within Missile Range of Syria for Strikes - Report

According to the UK's Daily Telegraph newspaper, British submarines have been ordered to move within missile range of Syria, as strikes against the Assad regime are expected as early as Thursday night.

The publication reported that the order was issued by UK Prime Minister Theresa May and that she has called on her ministers to meet for an emergency cabinet meeting to discuss how Britain will respond to last weekend's chemical attack on Douma.

Sky News reports that May will soon ask her cabinet to approve the UK's participation in US- and French-led strikes against Syria's alleged chemical weapons infrastructure. Though it is expected that May will get the approval from ministers to join the action, the Telegraph suggested a discussion will be had with the US and France before the final decision is made.

UK, France Following US ‘Clown’ Into Syrian War

The fluid confrontation of major powers in the Middle East may lead to a deeper and deadlier US-led military incursion, but the fault cannot be laid at US President Donald Trump’s doorstep alone, analysts told Sputnik Radio on Wednesday.

"This guy is the clown of the international community, and now places like the United Kingdom and France are following this clown into another war, which is exactly the sort of disaster they were dragged into in Iraq and Libya," Shabbir Razvi, an economic and political analyst, told Radio Sputnik's Loud & Clear.

Haley said the main difference between the two texts was that Russia wanted to choose the investigators and assess the outcome while the US text was for a truly independent investigation.

Russian UN Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia, who spoke after Haley, argued that the US draft prejudges the outcome of the investigation.

"Why do you need the mechanism, what do you need it for, when you have already appointed the guilty party before the investigation," he asked.

11 Russian Warships Leave Syrian Port To Conduct Exercises

***
US equity markets are re-surging following headlines that satellite images show eleven Russian battleships leaving a port in Syria. It appears the market has interpreted this as potentially reducing the immediate fears of a proxy war becoming a world war, though some would argue it is the opposite as ships cannot fight at port and are potentially moving into a more strategic position.

The Harder the Winds of War Blow, the More they Suck

When I wrote a few weeks ago that I thought the Neocons were making the full-court press for war I thought President Trump was a reluctant player in the game.

Part of me still believes that.

Part of me also believes that Trump, like everyone else, is a slave to his passions and is easily manipulated into terrible decisions. Case in point was last year’s bombing of the Al Shairat airbase in Syria after a similar false flag chemical weapons attack at Khan Sheikoun.

Will he fall victim to them again this year? According to him, we’ll know soon. Meanwhile a carrier group has been dispatched to the Eastern Mediterranean. Chinese missile frigates are there supporting Russian vessels and the destroyer U.S.S. Donald Cook is now just off the coats of the Russian base at Tartus.

Is It Today? US Doomsday Plane Takes Off Amid Tensions in Syria

Earlier US President Trump threatened on his Twitter page to strike Syria with “nice and new and smart” missiles over the alleged use of chemical weapons in Douma. Russia has already warned Washington against such a move.

The CivMilAir Twitter account, which monitors airplane movements, posted information that the Boeing E-4B Nightwatch, commonly known as the "Doomsday plane," took off from the Wright-Patterson airbase near Deiton on April 11 in 14:09 and flew towards Springfield, Illinois. What is curious about it is the fact that it left the airbase minutes after US President Donald Trump made his threat to launch a missile attack on Syria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This aircraft is the Boeing E-4 Advanced Airborne Command Post, an upgrade from the older NEACP aircraft, which is the top of the airborne command and control structure for nuclear war. Yesterday, it was reported that 4 E-6B TACAMO (Take Charge and Move Out) aircraft were in the air over the United States. These are the second level of communications for National Command Authority, which are the guys with the keys to the nuclear weapons.

More than likely, this is an attempt to bluff Russia into doing nothing following the coming attack on Syria, but it could easily backfire and scare Russia (or another nuclear nation) into launching a nuclear first strike out of fear the US government is about to do the same.

Trump’s Bombing of Syria Would Make Him a War Criminal

Trump’s bombing of Syria would be an impeachable offense.

Indeed, it would be the ultimate war crime …

The Nuremberg Tribunal which convicted and sentenced Nazis leaders to death conceived of wars of aggression – i.e. wars not launched in self-defense – defined the following as “crimes against peace”, or war crimes:

(i) Planning, preparation, initiation or waging of a war of aggression or a war in violation of international treaties, agreements or assurances;
(ii) Participation in a common plan or conspiracy for the accomplishment of any of the acts mentioned under (i)
The Tribunal considered wars of aggression to be the ultimate war crime, which encompassed all other crimes:

To initiate a war of aggression, therefore, is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.

A Wedding That Became a Funeral

On December 12, 2013, a United States aerial drone launched four Hellfire missiles on a convoy of 11 cars and pickup trucks during a counterterrorism operation in rural Yemen. The strike killed at least 12 men and wounded at least 15 others, 6 of them seriously.

Yemen authorities initially described all those killed in the attack outside the city of Rad`a as “terrorists.” The US government never officially acknowledged any role in the attack, but unofficially told media that the dead were militants, and that the operation targeted a “most-wanted” member of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) who was wounded and escaped.

Witnesses and relatives of the dead and wounded interviewed by Human Rights Watch in Yemen said the convoy was a wedding procession. They said everyone in the procession was a civilian, including all of the dead and injured, and that the bride received a superficial face wound.

US Military Admits: We Deliberately Bombed a Hospital in Iraq

The U.S. military said Thursday that it intentionally bombed a hospital in Mosul, Iraq as part of its efforts to "eradicate" Islamic State (ISIS) fighters.

The attack on the Al Salam hospital complex took place Wednesday at the request of Iraqi forces, with coalition aircraft using "precision-guided munitions," Air Force Col. John Dorrian, spokesperson for the U.S.-led coalition against ISIS, told reporters.

He said "it's very difficult to ascertain with full and total fidelity" that there were no civilian casualties, whether in the building targeted or elsewhere within the hospital complex.

Baghdad hospital bombed

US aircraft hit a Red Crescent maternity hospital in Baghdad, the city's trade fair, and other civilian buildings today, killing several people and wounding at least 25, hospital sources and a Reuters witness said.
The attacks occurred at 9.30am (0630 BST) and caught motorists by surprise as they ventured out during a lull in the bombing. At least five cars were crushed and their drivers burned to death inside, Reuters correspondent Samia Nakhoul said.

Patients and at least three doctors and nurses working at the hospital were among those wounded.

The missiles obliterated wings of Baghdad's trade fair building, which lies next to a government security office that was apparently missed in the bombings.

Iraq's information minister, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf, told a news conference that overnight bombings by US-led forces killed 24 civilians and injured 186 across the country. In Baghdad, he said, 10 civilians had been killed and 90 wounded.

One Day After Warning Russia of Civilian Casualties, the U.S. Bombs a Hospital in Afghanistan

Yesterday afternoon, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power marched to Twitter to proclaim: “We call on Russia to immediately cease attacks on Syrian oppo[sition and] civilians.” Along with that decree, she posted a statement from the U.S. and several of its closest authoritarian allies — including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the U.K. — warning Russia that civilian casualties “will only fuel more extremism and radicalization.”

Early this morning, in the Afghan city of Kunduz, the U.S. dropped bombs on a hospital run by Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)). The airstrike killed at least nine of the hospital’s medical staff, and seriously injured dozens of patients. “Among the dead was the Afghan head of the hospital, Abdul Sattar,” reported the New York Times.

Airstrike Hits Doctors Without Borders Hospital in Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan — A crowded hospital in the embattled city of Kunduz that treats war wounded came under attack on Saturday and the American military acknowledged that it may have killed 19 patients, staff members and others at the facility while firing on insurgents nearby.

The attack, which the military said in a statement might have been “collateral damage” that occurred while engaging militants, drew a fierce international outcry. The head of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, condemned it and called for a “thorough and impartial investigation.” It also renewed scrutiny of the United States military’s record of causing civilian casualties, which has alienated the Afghan public and often undermined relations with the government here.

Attacking Syria Is Impeachable

Francis Boyle is professor of international law at the University of Illinois College of Law. He said today: “Any U.S. attack targeting the Syrian government or its forces would clearly violate both U.S. and international law. When Obama was in a similar position in 2013, his advisor Ben Rhodes [see below] has since commented that they turned back largely because they were afraid of impeachment. That fear is well founded. While the prospect of impeaching Trump is thrown around frequently for partisan purposes, on this issue, the constitution is clear: Initiating a war or any such attack without authorization is clearly impeachable.

Prepared for a conflict with Russia, Israel is pushing Trump to take action in Syria

Israel is escalating the diplomatic conflict with Russia and publicly standing by the United States concerning the chemical weapons used by Syrian President Bashar Assad against his own citizens.

Follow Ynetnews on Facebook and Twitter

Jerusalem’s aggressive approach is reflected in a statement released by the Foreign Ministry shortly before 11 pm Monday, in which Israel ruled unequivocally that Assad and his regime had used chemical weapons against civilians on Sunday.

The delayed Israeli response is based on the results of a thorough examination by the Military Intelligence Directorate. The examination’s findings revealed in an unequivocal manner that chemical warfare agents—likely nerve gas—were indeed used in the city of Douma in addition to chlorine, which usually isn’t lethal.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Okay, so Assad has all but won the war in Syria, ISIS and Al Qaeda (supported by the US) are on the run, and we are expected to believe that Assad would attack a hospital full of children with poison gas, knowing that this would allow the US to re-invade his country?!?

Dear President Trump: Please Read This Before Bombing Syria

Dear Mr. President,

You've said you're a smart man.

Now's the time to prove it ...

You've said that you'll get to the bottom of who carried out the latest Syrian chemical weapons attack.

We can help ...

Instead of bombing Syria for a chemical weapons attack, please prove that you are smart enough to learn the facts.

If you spend 5 minutes reading, you'll learn that Syria has been "framed" for more than 50 years, that the U.S. first carried out a "regime change" operation against Syria in 1949 and has been drooling to do it again ever since, that the Ruskies have framed other countries to justify war ... and that you're too smart to fall for the "Oldest Trick In the Book".

OF THE LIARS, BY THE LIARS, AND FOR THE LIARS

In today's enlightened age of alternative media and global internet communications, lies by rulers are quickly laid bare. Yet most people remain trapped by their beliefs of what they imagine their rulers to be, and greet each new revealed mendacity with, "What? Our ruler lied to us?" The question more properly ought to be, "When don't rulers lie to us?"

The historical fact is that all rulers lie pretty much all of the time, and each newly revealed lie ought not to be thought of as a shocking isolated incident, but merely a continuation of standard operating bullshit! In short, the vast majority of what you are told by rulers is a lie, and the rare moment of absolute truth a rare and precious gem worthy of celebration.

Here are some examples from history.

May hesitating to join Trump's attack on Syria, wants more evidence – Times

British Prime Minister Theresa May is reportedly not keen on joining the US in its potential strike against Syria. The PM told Donald Trump she will not act until there's more evidence of Syria's culpability, the Times reports.

On Monday, US President Donald Trump said that he was "very strongly, very seriously" considering a military option in Syria, promising to make a "major decision" within up to 48 hours.

While the heating-up rhetoric from Washington suggests a military response may be imminent, the UK might be second-guessing its strategic partner now. According to a report by the Times on Wednesday, May told Trump that she would not risk pounding Syria with missiles until she sees more compelling proof of Damascus's culpability in the incident on April 7.

Responding to a threat from US President Donald Trump, who said Russia should prepare for “nice new and smart missiles” launched by America at Syria, Moscow said if the weapons were smart, they would target terrorists.

“Smart missiles should fly towards terrorists, not [Syria’s] lawful government, which has spent several years fighting against international terrorism on its territory,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said in response to Trump’s tweet on Wednesday.

She added the US may be seeking to undermine an inspection by chemical weapons experts, who are planning to investigate on the ground in Syria after the alleged attack which sparked the current confrontation between Russia and the US.

The source added that the Syrian Air Force has moved several jets to the Russian operated Hmaymim Airport in southwest Latakia.

The reason for the Syrian Air Force moving their jets to the Hmaymim Airport is due to the threat posed by the possible U.S. attack on their military installations.

Trump Declares Qatar an Ally in the War Against Terror

Hosting the Qatari Emir on Tuesday, President Trump has declared the Qataris to be “a very big advocate,” praising them as a key ally in the war on terrorism. This is a major step, as only last year President Trump was accusing Qatar, a long-standing US ally, of funding terrorism.

The emir appeared not to appreciate the way Trump presented their alliance as sudden, insisting his nation has been cooperating with the US against terrorism funding all along. Trump’s changing view of Qatar is likely reflective of regional needs.

The US focus right now seems to be scrambling to ready a US-led, coalition attack on Syria, and the major US base at Qatar, the headquarters of US Central Command, would play a major role in any new US war in Syria. Trump’s past alienation of the Qataris could have been something of an obstacle to that, particularly with the Saudis, who have positioned themselves as hostile to Qatar, likely to join the war.

The US Has Lost Global Power, and Is Now Just Faking It

It’s a hard job being a global hegemon and the world’s sole superpower.

You have to keep the entire planet in line. Every country needs to be taught its place, and kept there, by force if need be. Now and again a country or two has to be conquered or destroyed, just to teach others a lesson. Plus you have to relentlessly meddle in other countries’ politics, rigging elections so that only US-friendly candidates can win, run regime change operations and organize colored revolutions. Stop doing this, and some countries will start ignoring you. And then the rest will quickly realize that you are losing control and go their separate ways while ignoring you.
