US Losing Its @$$ Defending Saudi Arabia

"You Have Nothing, But Money": Trump Says US Losing Its A** Defending Saudi Arabia

US President Donald Trump once again humiliated the regime in Riyadh, saying he likes the leader of Saudi Arabia, but Washington is protecting King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his son Mohammad bin Salman (MbS), therefore the oil-rich kingdom should pay more money.
“Look, Saudi Arabia, very rich country, we defend them, we subsidize Saudi Arabia. They have nothing but cash, right? We subsidize them. And they buy a lot from us, $450 billion they bought,” Trump said during a rally in Wisconsin on Saturday.

“You know, You had people wanting to cut off Saudi Arabia. They bought $450 billion. I don’t want to lose ‘em! But the military, we subsidize Saudi Arabia!”>>>

Civilians Block Passage of US-Backed SDF's Oil Tankers through Eastern Euphrates

People prevented passage of oil tankers stolen by the Syrian Democratic Forces from Eastern Euphrates and seized their weapons amid intensified popular protests against the SDF in the region, the Arabic-language media outlets said.

The residents of the town of al-Hassin launched popular protests against SDF in Eastern Deir Ezzur by blocking the roads to SDF's oil tankers destined to the Iraqi Kurdistan Region from Hasaka, the Arabic-language al-Youm reported.

Battlefield sources in Deir Ezzur, meantime, pointed to intensified popular anti-SDF protests in different towns and villages in Deir Ezzur province, and said civilians have taken control of SDF weapons by forcing them out of their military positions.

Trump: Fox's Napolitano asked me to pardon his friend, put him on Supreme Court

President Trump tweeted Saturday that Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano met with him and urged him to nominate Napolitano to the Supreme Court as well as grant a pardon to one of Napolitano's friends.

Napolitano, a former superior court judge in New Jersey, works as a legal analyst for Fox News. In a pair of tweets Saturday evening following his campaign rally in Green Bay, Wis., the president accused the commentator of becoming "very hostile" after Trump supposedly turned him down for the nation's highest court.

Trump Officials: China Gets No ‘Wind-Down’ Period for Cutting Iran Oil Purchases

This will cause War. Thanks a lot Trump!

US expects China to stop buying oil by May 1
Jason Ditz Posted on April 26, 2019Categories NewsTags China, Iran, Trump
In comments that may set up a catastrophic amount of fallout in international trade, officials from the Trump Administration say that China will absolutely not be given any time to “wind-down” their purchases of Iranian oil, nor any extensions beyond May 1.

China is by far Iran’s largest customer, and would have by far the hardest time sourcing enough replacement oil on the market. These comments are likely to have an impact on the oil market, pushing prices higher, and more importantly, risking a US ultimatum on China.

Former POTUS Blatantly Bashes US Foreign Policy

Jimmy Carter: US is ‘most warlike nation in history’

During his regular Sunday school lesson at Maranatha Baptist Church in his hometown of Plains, Georgia, Jimmy Carter revealed that he had recently spoken with President Donald Trump about China. Carter, 94, said Trump was worried about China’s growing economy and expressed concern that “China is getting ahead of us.”

Carter, who normalized diplomatic relations between Washington and Beijing in 1979, said he told Trump that much of China’s success was due to its peaceful foreign policy.

“Since 1979, do you know how many times China has been at war with anybody?” Carter asked. “None, and we have stayed at war.”>>>

America’s Way of War: Killing Civilians

From Afghanistan to Iraq, Syria and Yemen, the United States and its allies have been really good at one thing only: Killing civilians in wars without end.

This has been going on since 2001, starting from Afghanistan, stretching to Yemen and then all the way back to Afghanistan, where the United Nations has once again warned that the United States and its allied forces are killing more Afghan civilians than the Taliban and other armed groups do.

This has been largely the case in the first three months of this year. A new quarterly report from the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan shows that from January to the end of March.

It’s interesting to note that in response to the report, US forces spokesman in Afghanistan Colonel Dave Butler has said: "We reserve the right of self-defense of our forces. The best way to end the suffering of non-combatants is to end the fighting through an agreed-upon reduction in violence on all sides."

The thing is, the ongoing violence could be reduced to a great extent if all US and NATO forces actually leave the war-torn country.>>>

UNSC Highly Unlikely to Comply with Trump's IRGC Designation

Richard Nephew, who served as the lead sanctions expert for the US team negotiating with Iran, says the impacts of the Trump administration's move to blacklist Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps as a terrorist entity are constrained by the United States' geographical boundaries as the world community seems to be adamant to the move.

Nephew, who is now a fellow at the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, told FNA that the UN Security Council is "highly unlikely" to comply with President Trump's decision on IRGC.

Judge Nap: Trump Guilty of Obstruction!

That report concluded that notwithstanding 127 confirmed communications between the campaign and Russians from July 2015 to November 2016 (Trump said there were none), the government could not prove the existence of a conspiracy.

Obstruction is a rare crime that is rarely completed. Stated differently, the obstructer need not succeed in order to be charged with obstruction. That’s because the statute itself prohibits attempting to impede or interfere with any government proceeding for a corrupt or self-serving purpose.

Trump Makes Post-Mueller Vow To Release "Devastating" FISA Docs

President Trump on Thursday renewed his vow to declassify a wide swath of "devastating" documents related to the Russia probe "and much more" - adding that he's glad he waited until the Mueller investigation was complete.

In a Thursday night phone interview on Fox News, host Sean Hannity asked "will you declassify the FISA applications, gang of 8 material, those 302s - what we call on this program 'the bucket of five'?"

To which Trump replied: "Yes, everything is going to be declassified - and more, much more than what you just mentioned. It will all be declassified, and I'm glad I waited because i thought that maybe they would obstruct if I did it early - and I think I was right. So I'm glad I waited, and now the Attorney General can take a look - a very strong look at whatever it is, but it will be declassified and more than what you just mentioned."

U.S Ambassador Threatens War With Russia, Moscow Laughs-Off Empty Threat

Russia’s Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that Moscow regrets that the “language of sanctions and threats” has become the “visiting card” of the United States.

Hunstman had stated that each aircraft carrier represents one hundred thousand tons of international diplomacy and shows Russia that if it really hopes to improve relations with the US, it has to stop destabilizing activities around the world.

Putin's Envoy: Iranian Forces in Syria Remain 50 Miles Away From Israeli Border

***
Iranian forces in Syria remain around 80 kilometers (50 miles) away from the border with Israel despite Washington’s statement that it recognizes Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev told Sputnik in an interview.

“We have reached agreement with our Iranian friends that certain units that have been there [at the Syrian border with Israel] in order to ensure security of the southern de-escalation zone will be transferred to a safe distance, from 75 to 80 kilometers. They fulfill their promises,” Lavrentyev said, when asked if Trump’s statement had triggered the approaching of Iranian forces to the border.

In July 2018, Iran agreed, due to the Russian mediation, to move its units present in Syria away from the border with Israel by 85 kilometers, which significantly reduced Israeli concerns, according to the presidential envoy. The recent statement by US President Donald Trump on the US recognition of the Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, disputed between Israel and Syria, could have made Tehran change its decision>>>

Trump fracking plan targets over 1 million acres in California

The Trump administration on Thursday detailed its plan to open more than a million acres of public and private land in California to fracking, raising environmental concerns at a time when opposition to oil and gas drilling in the state is intensifying.

The action would end a five-year moratorium on leasing federal land in California to oil and gas developers. That pause came after a federal judge ordered the Obama administration to halt similar leasing efforts until it could better evaluate the environmental risks of hydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking.

US Oil Companies To Make Billions Out Of Tougher Sanctions On Iran

The market value of US drilling companies has increased by billions of dollars, after Washington announced that it will not renew sanctions waivers granted to eight countries allowing them to import oil from Iran. The US decision has also increased the profits of US energy companies that are among the biggest beneficiaries of sanctions aimed at crippling Iran and pushing it to the negotiating table.

Can Trump block witnesses, access to documents?

Trump has refused to cooperate in numerous congressional probes, setting the state for several long court fights.

President Donald Trump is refusing to cooperate with several committees in the House of Representatives that have launched investigations of his presidency and business dealings, setting the stage for a legal confrontation that is likely to land in the US Supreme Court.

"We just went through the Mueller witch-hunt," Trump told reporters at the White House on Wednesday. "And they came up with no collusion and they also came with no obstruction."

"We are fighting all the subpoenas. These are not like impartial people. Look, the Democrats are trying to win 2020," Trump told reporters after saying in a tweet earlier in the day he would take the issue "to the US Supreme Court."

But constitutional scholars and Washington, DC, lawyers say Trump's legal ability to fend off demands from the House, where opposition Democrats control key committees, is weak. The president can only delay Congress's access by litigating in federal court, although that is a process that could take months.

Thirteen-year-old girl suffers brain trauma after war veteran 'targeted people' he thought were Muslim, authorities say.

Isaiah Joel Peoples, 34, faces eight counts of attempted murder for injuring eight people, including a 13-year-old girl, after he deliberately veered his car into the pedestrians.

According to the AP news agency, the teenage girl was the most seriously injured in the incident and is currently in a coma with severe brain trauma.

Trump heeds NRA, says he's pulling US out of Arms Trade Treaty

Trump tells gun lobby he intends to revoke status of US as a signatory of the treaty, which wasn't ratified by Senate.

US President Donald Trump announced on Friday at the National Rifle Association's (NRA) annual meeting that the United States will drop out of an international arms treaty signed in 2013 by then-President Barack Obama but opposed by the NRA and other conservative groups.

Trump told members of the gun lobby that he intends to revoke the status of the US as a signatory of the Arms Trade Treaty, which was never ratified by the US Senate.

The NRA has long opposed the treaty which regulates the $70bn business in conventional arms and seeks to keep weapons out of the hands of human rights abusers. The lobbying group argues it would undermine domestic gun rights, a view the Obama administration rejected.

Trump added that the United Nations will soon receive formal notice of the withdrawal.

Next Stop On The War Train - Iran, Venezuela, Or North Korea?

If you learn one rule about how governments function today, it should be that political leaders are usually puppets and the real decision makers are almost never out in the open. The question is, how does one know for certain that this is the case with a specific leader? His rhetoric might be compelling, he probably knows every buzzword to spark your interest, and he might even throw you some legislative scraps from the political table every once in a while to make you think that he's going to follow through on his campaign promises, but does he actually believe in the principles he originally championed?

The litmus test for any US president is to examine the type of people he invites into his house. Who does he surround himself with? The cabinet is the president's constant companion and decision making team. The cabinet is looking over his shoulder and influencing everything he does. If you want to find who is pulling the strings of a president, this is a good place to start.

Trump's tax bill allows twice as many companies to pay zero taxes

The tax plan introduced by the administration of US President Donald Trump has allowed twice as many companies to pay zero taxes, according to a recent report.

The report by the Center for Public Integrity revealed that under the Trump tax plan, which is officially known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, corporate tax rates were lowered from 35 percent to 21 percent resulting in the number of companies paying no taxes to go from 30 to 60 in its first year.

The Washington, DC-based think-tank, the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP) found that the number of companies exempted from taxes was more than twice as many as ITEP found roughly, per year.

Many of the country's largest publicly-held corporations have reported that they owe absolutely nothing on the billions of dollars in profits they earned last year, it said.

No One Is Coming to Rescue You—Especially Not a Presidential Candidate

We are only a few months into 2019, and already the 2020 presidential election season is well underway. Each week, it seems that more candidates are entering the race, especially in the Democratic field. And as the country cycles through its political flavors of the week, social media has become overrun by passionate posts that read more like stump speeches in support of a given candidate.

Nearly every single person has an opinion about who this country should be supporting. And nearly every single one of them believes that their lives will be significantly better, or worse, based on who occupies the White House. But this gives politicians far too much power.

In order to truly better our lives, we need to rely less on political talking heads and more on ourselves. Only then can we begin to make a bigger difference and change the world...

The True Cost Of The Trump-Netanyahu Alliance

***
There may be major concessions demanded of the Israelis if the long-awaiting Trump peace plan actually is revealed in June, the latest of many deadlines. But that seems doubtful. Instead it would appear that, as Jewish Trump supporters frequently boast, there’s never been an American president so tightly tied to an Israeli prime minister, and vice versa. Netanyahu rode that bromance to electoral victory earlier this month, and Republicans are exploiting it to achieve the “Jexodus” of their political dreams.

Not so fast. I predict this is a short-term phenomenon, a sugar high before a sharp decline, which will put an even more serious strain on the strategic alliance between the U.S. and Israel. In his sycophantic adulation of Trump, Netanyahu scores a few real triumphs. But he is reaping a pyrrhic victory.
***
In my opinion, it’s no coincidence that Netanyahu’s approval rating in the U.S. mirrors Trump’s, which dropped to 39% after last week’s release of the redacted Mueller report.

viewed positively by 46% — and its government, such as it is, with an approval rating of a dismal 19%.)

By Promoting Passover, Trump Promotes Destruction on the US

On April 19th, this past Friday, Donald Trump tweeted a Passover greeting to Jews celebrating Passover “in America, Israel and around the world.” Is this compatible with Trump’s alleged goal of making America great again?

Trump is largely ignorant of many of the teachings in the religion he claims for himself, Christianity, as well as of the teachings in the religion Christianity sprang out of, Judaism.

In Judaism, Jewish superiority is a consistent theme, along with the elevation of the
Jewish state of Israel “on high above all nations of the earth” (Deuteronomy 28:1). This desire in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament to have Israel superior over all of the Gentile nations on Earth is also a part of a Passover prayer that is said in synagogues and Jewish homes around the world. Trump should be aware of this anti-American prayer before he sends out his Passover greetings.

The Passover prayer is the Sh’foch Hamatcha.>>>

So Who Burned Down Notre Dame?

Firstly there was the sheer nastiness of the operation. You can forget French fairy stories about faulty wiring. There about as reliable as that claim about DC-10 engine cowling bits causing the Paris Concorde crash. I gather that privately the French are saying that it was arson and they’re right. The faulty wiring nonsense is strictly for the public and the credulous French media, who will swallow just about any old nonsense, as long as it’s marked ‘official’. They’re worse than the BBC over global warming.

The plan was clearly to burn Notre Dame to the ground, based no doubt on the theory that its structure was interlocking. It was, but the towers and side walls appear to have possessed more strength than anyone thought possible. The men who designed Notre Dame knew that they were doing.

Then you have the fact that Holy Mass was underway when the fire started. The Germans love nothing more than burning people to death inside churches>>>

Trump May Recognise West Bank as Israeli Land After Jerusalem & Golan – Analyst

The Israeli elections on 9 April resulted in the victory of Benjamin Netanyahu, who was officially appointed as the country's prime minister on 17 April. Speaking to Sputnik, Israeli publicist Avigdor Eskin shared his opinion on what to expect from the Netanyahu cabinet in the near future.

"I anticipate Israeli official recognition of towns and villages on the West Bank (Judea and Samaria) as a part of the state and I also anticipate US recognition. We will also see the attempts to negotiate with Gaza. Egypt will play an important role", the Israeli publicist foresees.

While Trump Wrecks The U.S., He's Building The GOP In His Own Image

At least a few people believe that Trumpism is a significant break from pre-Trump Republicanism, and their parallel belief is that the Republican party is doomed. It's not.
***
What’s left of the party is a rigid adherence to tax cuts, a social agenda that repels most younger Americans and rampant xenophobia and race-based politics that regularly interfere with the basic functioning of the federal government.
***
Where to begin? First, the choice isn't between impeachment and "leaving Donald Trump in office." Trump won't be removed by an impeachment -- there would need to be 20 Republican votes to convict in the Senate to go along with the 47 Democrats (assuming all Democrats vote to convict, and I have strong doubts about Joe Manchin).

But Lockhart's big mistake -- a mistake made by many mainstream politicos of his generation -- is believing that Trumpism is a significant break from pre-Trump Republicanism>>>

Trump declares he'll 'fight all the subpoenas' from House Democrats

President Trump dug in Wednesday against House Democrats’ expanding investigations of his administration and business empire, accusing liberals of trying to win the 2020 presidential election with a blizzard of subpoenas.

Declaring that his cooperation with special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe showed that he’s “the most transparent president and administration in the history of our country,” Mr. Trump warned that he’ll take Democrats to the Supreme Court if they persist with demands for more documents and testimony aimed at possible impeachment.

“I thought after two years, we’d be finished with it,” the president told reporters at the White House. “I say it’s enough. We’re fighting all the subpoenas.”

Joe Biden Launches Campaign Based on Charlottesville ‘Very Fine People’ Hoax

Former Vice Preisdent Joe Biden launched his third presidential campaign on Thursday by referring to a debunked claim that President Donald Trump referred to neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017 as “very fine people.”

In a three-and-a-half minute YouTube video, Biden cited the August 2017 riots as his primary motivation for running against Trump, presenting a version of events that even a CNN contributor has declared to be fraudulent.

Saudi executions: A message to Iran or a blow to Saudi Shia?

The killings will not put an end to the peaceful protest and activism of the Saudi Shia community, which has been struggling for equality for over half a century

On Tuesday, Saudi official sources announced the mass execution of 37 prisoners, including one rather abhorrent crucifixion, carried out after execution.

The prisoners were lumped together and charged with several ambiguous charges such as terrorism, conspiracy to undermine security, spying, spreading Shia Islam and murder. The crucified man was accused of murdering a woman and conspiring to murder another one.

At least 34 of the executed prisoners are Shia activists, professionals, religious scholars and a number of young men who were detained when they were minors

But please don’t ask yourself whether the 15 murderers who plotted and killed journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul last October were amongst them.

None of those had been named or charged openly in a Saudi court>>>

US builds nuclear shield to deliver surprise nuclear strike on Russia — General Staff

The United States is deploying missile defense systems near Russia’s borders with the goal of obtaining the potential to deliver a surprise nuclear strike on Russia, First Deputy Chief of the Russian General Staff’s Main Operations Department Lt. Gen.Viktor Poznikhir said on Wednesday.

"The deployment of missile defense systems near our borders creates a powerful strike potential for the US enabling it to deliver a surprise [the attacked party won’t be able to strike in response] missile and nuclear strike on Russia," the general told the Moscow Conference on International Security.

By developing the global missile defense system Washington also seeks to gain the potential to deliver such a strike without a response against any undesirable country, he noted.

PEPE ESCOBAR: War on Iran & Calling America’s Bluff

The Trump administration once again has graphically demonstrated that in the young, turbulent 21st century, “international law” and “national sovereignty” already belong to the Realm of the Walking Dead.

As if a deluge of sanctions against a great deal of the planet was not enough, the latest “offer you can’t refuse” conveyed by a gangster posing as diplomat, Consul Minimus Mike Pompeo, now essentially orders the whole planet to submit to the one and only arbiter of world trade: Washington.

First the Trump administration unilaterally smashed a multinational, UN-endorsed agreement, the JCPOA, or Iran nuclear deal. Now the waivers that magnanimously allowed eight nations to import oil from Iran without incurring imperial wrath in the form of sanctions will expire on May 2 and won’t be renewed.

11 April 2019: The West's irrational fear of Iran is a disaster waiting to happen

If the Trump regime miscalculates, the house can easily come crashing down on its head

While Western regimes craft a fresh humanitarian crisis in Venezuela, their corporate and state-owned media and corrupted think-tanks embody what Shakespeare's Lorenzo describes as "this muddy vesture of decay" – and, true to form, frustrate attempts to provide voice to their latest subaltern victims.

Increasingly vitriolic voices, from Paris to Washington, reveal exasperation and express a need to intimidate and justify the eviction of the many increasingly difficult tenants of the Fifth Estate.

Just as advanced capitalism has successfully transformed the first four estates into an almost homogeneous, postmodern utopia for well-heeled Wall Street and Ivory Tower dwellers – amid a deluge of conspiratorial narratives of existential threats – western regime-affiliated intellectual elites vigorously promote a "benign" monopoly in this lucrative piece of real estate.

Ethnocentric worldview

As in Palestine, excavation and construction can only begin with a purge of "inferior" races, religions and social classes, as well as other "malign" influences. After all, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reminds his European and North American allies, there is no place for the weak, who are destined for slaughter, while the strong survive.

Heavy Military Presence in Eastern S. Arabia After Riyadh Beheads 37 Men, Mostly Shia

Saudi police and military have established a heavy presence in the Eastern province in preparation for possible protests by the Shiite-majority population after the Kingdom executed 37 people on Tuesday for alleged terrorism-related crimes, citizens in Qatif said.

Riyadh has claimed that the men had been put to death for “their adoption of extremist, terrorist ideology and forming terrorist cells to corrupt and disturb security, spread chaos and cause sectarian discord", accusing them of “cooperating with hostile parties in a way that damaged the high interests of the homeland”.

At least 33 of the executed men belonged to the Shiite minority and human rights organizations expressed doubt about the fairness of their trials.>>>

FLASHBACK 2017 - British intelligence passed Trump associates' communications with Russians on to US counterparts

British and other European intelligence agencies intercepted communications between associates of Donald Trump and Russian officials and other Russian individuals during the campaign and passed on those communications to their US counterparts, US congressional and law enforcement and US and European intelligence sources tell CNN.

The communications were captured during routine surveillance of Russian officials and other Russians known to western intelligence. British and European intelligence agencies, including GCHQ, the British intelligence agency responsible for communications surveillance, were not proactively targeting members of the Trump team but rather picked up these communications during what's known as "incidental collection," these sources tell CNN.

CNN’s Stelter: Trump Avoiding Correspondent’s Dinner Is an ‘Attack Against the Media’

Whingy CNN anti-Trump obsessive Brian Stelter complained Tuesday that President Trump’s decision not to attend the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner this past weekend actually constituted an ‘attack’ on the media.

Despite the fact that the WHCD is a back slapping self-congratulatory monumental waste of time, and that the President should really have better things to do, Stelter was adamant that the snub by Trump was part of a rabid anti-media agenda.

Stelter’s CNN co-hort Brooke Baldwin teed it up for him, stating that "it is no secret the President likes to insult the free press but now we’re learning the White House is actually telling the administration officials to boycott the dinner celebrating the First Amendment."

"[L]isten, you know, say what you will about the press, this is an event that honors the First Amendment." Baldwin claimed, even though it blatantly isn’t.

Trump news: President launches series of wild attacks on 'enemy of the people' US media as impeachment threat grows

Donald Trump has lashed out at The New York Times, Morning Joe, CNN, Democrats, and the EU on Twitter — as well as the social media platform itself — during a busy morning in which a new state visit to Britain was also confirmed.

As the president continues to gloat over the outcome of the Mueller report, Democrats are busy formulating their response. Mr Trump has claimed the report exonerates him, but Democrats see grounds for potential impeachment, with 2020 hopeful Elizabeth Warren the most vocal among a growing choir calling for that measure: “If any other human being in this country had done what’s documented in the Mueller report, they would be arrested and put in jail.”

Hillary Clinton has blamed Justice Department rules for the Mueller report's failure to indict President Donald Trump, declaring the "roadmap" to an obstruction charge is there in plain sight, should Congress choose to pursue it.

"I think there is enough there that any other person who had engaged in those acts would certainly have been indicted," Clinton told an audience at the Time 100 summit, insisting the Mueller report, despite its failure to substantiate the criminal accusations leveled against the president, was merely "the end of the beginning" of what could be a beautiful impeachment – if Congress plays its cards right.

The logic behind US humiliation of the Palestinians

What an old Hebrew parable can tell us about Kushner's strategy and the deal of the century.

Over the past two years, the Trump administration has launched an all-out diplomatic assault on the Palestinians, while preparing a new initiative to resolve the Middle East conflict. It has claimed its plan is different from any other, downplayed anything said about it as wild speculation, and accused critics of rushing to judgment before they have seen it.

Indeed, the Palestinians have not seen the actual plan, but they have a pretty good feeling about what it will involve. They have watched closely as the Trump administration has spat out one policy after the other with the clear intention of humiliating and subduing them.

Trump: Israel's gift that keeps on giving

Over the past year and a half, US President Donald Trump administration has been giving Benjamin Netanyahu's government one political "gift" after the other.

In December 2017, his administration recognised Jerusalem as Israel's capital and moved the US embassy from Tel Aviv in May 2018. In January 2018, it froze all assistance to UNRWA, the UN agency tasked with supporting millions of Palestinian living as refugees, and in June that year, it quit the UN Human Rights Council after accusing it of having a bias against Israel on account of its policies in occupied Palestine. In September, the Trump administration closed the representative office of the Palestinian Liberation Organization in Washington.

The Trump Administration's Iran Policy Will Hasten Imperial Decline

There was a postwar order, but was it liberal? Like most political orders, it looked much better on paper than it did in practice and to the core members of the order than those on the margins…

Liberal values were only remotely attached to the postwar institutions. Sovereign equality did not translate into a liberal world order. The postwar institutions were run by the most powerful countries, with middle and lesser powers either shunted to the back of the room or locked out altogether…Third World now comprised most of the world’s states, but it was on the outside looking in. Western states enjoyed democracy and the rule of law, but the U.S. and the former colonial masters undermined rather than supported democracy and human rights elsewhere. Some Western states and analysts presumed that the global order must have some legitimacy because there were no great (or at least successful) revolts by the Third World, but they mistook coercion and the lack of alternative for consent…

The Conspiracy Against Trump

The real “deplorable” in today’s United States is the continuation of a foreign policy based on endless aggression to maintain Washington’s military dominance in parts of the world where Americans have no conceivable interest. Many voters backed Donald J. Trump because he committed himself to changing all that, but, unfortunately, he has reneged on his promise, instead heightening tension with major powers Russia and China while also threatening Iran and Venezuela on an almost daily basis. Now Cuba is in the crosshairs because it is allegedly assisting Venezuela. One might reasonably ask if America in its seemingly enduring role as the world’s most feared bully will ever cease and desist, but the more practical question might be “When will the psychopathic trio of John Bolton, Mike Pompeo and Elliott Abrams be fired so the United States can begin to behave like a normal nation?”

US Decision on Iran's Oil Exports May Destroy Nuclear Deal

The European Union regrets the United States' decision to halt waivers on sanctions against importers of Iranian oil, which may undermine the success of the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Spokesperson for EU Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Maja Kocijancic said on Tuesday.

"We regret yesterday's announcement by the US not to renew all waivers. This further risks undermining the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action… . We, as the European Union, will continue to abide by the JCPOA as long as Iran continues the full and effective implementation of its nuclear-related commitments," Kocijancic told reporters.

Iran has warned Europeans, as the main beneficiaries of the agreement with the Islamic republic, that the nuclear deal between Tehran and the world powers will be in danger if European countries fail to fulfill their pledge to ease the US pressures and allow the Islamic Republic to reap the economic benefits of the deal.

US will not reissue waivers for Iran oil imports

In an effort to increase economic pressure on Iran, US announces it is ending waivers for countries importing Iran oil.

The Trump administration on Monday told five countries - Japan, South Korea, Turkey, China and India - that they would no longer be exempt from US sanctions if they continued to import oil from Iran after their waivers ended on May 2.

"We're going to zero. We're going to zero across the board," US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told reporters after the White House made the announcement in a statement. "There are no (oil) waivers that extend beyond that period, full stop," he said, adding that there would be no grace period for those economies to comply.

Transactional Trumpism

The idea that Trump voters were former Democrats driven by economic anxiety, seems finally to have died. As was clear immediately after the election, most Trump voters had previously voted for Romney, and most of the rest were classic swinging voters who had voted for Republicans as well as Democrats in the past. The remnant of the remnant reflected the drift from Democrats to Republicans of less educated whites that long predated Trump (though it may have helped him win the Republican nomination).

Solving that puzzle, though raises another one. Why were so few traditional Republicans repelled by Trump to the extent that they would vote for Clinton, or else abstain. And why does Trump continue to attract such strong Republican support.

One answer is what might be called “transactional Trumpism“. This is the idea that a large group of Republicans dislike Trump’s racism and misogyny, but support him because of his success in delivering a traditional Republican agenda. The problem I have with this explanation is: what success?

Investigators presented evidence during a press conference Thursday detailing how, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that “nine points of forgery in which words, letters and hand-placed date stamps had been digitally copied and pasted” from another Hawaii State birth certificate to create the fake image posted on the official WhiteHouse.gov website.

Remembering when bankers tried to overthrow FDR and install a fascist dictator

When we look back at history, we have the benefit of knowing how things turned out — not true for those who were living through history's tensest moments. At key inflection points in history and in response to crises, most of the actors had no idea what would happen or what the right thing to do was. Sometimes, this uncertainty can drive people to bold and ill-advised actions.

Take the Great Depression. Something had to be done, but nobody knew what for certain. When Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected on a campaign that promised to abandon the gold standard and provide government jobs for the unemployed, many in the grips of the crisis thought that this was certainly the wrong way to go.

Mueller’s Deep State Ploy Against Russia

***
Decade after decade, Soviet propaganda held to one theme, that the United States used its military and economic might to rule the world on behalf of criminal elites. With the fall of the Soviet Union, a new era of world peace and prosperity was to emerge.

Instead, something else happened, war upon war, hot war, cold war, economic war, and a resurgence of colonialism and bullying.

How does this apply to “Russiagate?”

The story isn’t simple, nothing is today. Here is what we know. The Russia investigation was always fake, a cheap ploy to kill time while the Deep State consolidated power inside the US under a puppet president>>>

(*But the main thing , in case you hadn't heard , is that Trump Won !)

With the release of the redacted Mueller Report in late April 2018, a number of things should be clear. They aren’t. In fact, nothing is clear except that US Attorney General Barr lied when he claimed Trump was exonerated by the report, far from it.

Fatah: Arab States Pressing Palestinians to Accept Trump Deal

Some Arab states are exerting “immense pressure” on the Palestinians to accept President Donald Trump’s controversial Middle East plan, dubbed “the deal of the century”, a senior Fatah official said.

“Some Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, are very interested in the deal of the century,” the unnamed official told Al-Khaleej Online news.

“They are using all means, including political and financial blackmail, to force the Palestinians to accept the deal of the century despite all the dangers it poses to the Palestinian cause,” the official added.

Trump’s so-called “peace plan” is expected to be unveiled at the end of the holy month of Ramadan in June.

Local Militants Had International Help in Carrying out Attacks in Sri Lanka

An international network helped to perpetrate the bloody Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka, the nation’s health minister announced after the series of coordinated bombings killed 290 people and left hundreds injured.
“We do not believe these attacks were carried out by a group of people who were confined to this country,” Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Rajitha Senaratne said on Monday, RT reported.

He stated that there was “an international network”, without which the attacks “could not have succeeded”.

Suicide bombers set off explosives in several hotels and Catholic churches in different parts of Sri Lanka. An apartment complex was also targeted, and a bomb found near Colombo International Airport was defused.

Will the cartels keep Fentanyl out of terrorist hands?

From 'total exoneration' to 'total bullsh**': Trump lingers on damning report

By the time President Donald Trump had passed through the prime rib buffet at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday to sit for dinner with family and a top aide, the damning picture Robert Mueller's report painted of his presidency had become clear.

Instead of the "total exoneration" Trump had proclaimed earlier, the report portrayed the President as deceitful and paranoid, encouraging his aides to withhold the truth and cross ethical lines in an attempt to thwart a probe into Russia's interference in US elections -- his "Achilles heel," according to one forthcoming adviser.

Perhaps more angering to a leader who detests weakness -- but doesn't necessarily mind an amoral reputation -- were the number of underlings shown ignoring his commands, privately scoffing at the "crazy sh**" he was requesting and working around him to avoid self-implication.

Pompeo Not ‘Mature,’ Bolton ‘Dim-Sighted,’ North Korea Lambasts Top Trump Officials

In its second scathing critique of a high-ranking US figure in less than a week, Pyongyang has described demands by the US national security adviser, John Bolton, for proof that North Korea is in the process of denuclearisation as “nonsense".

Bolton's call for the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to offer proof that Pyongyang's leadership is in the process of taking apart its nuclear arsenal were characterised as "nonsense" by the nation's vice foreign minister, Choe Son-hui, on Saturday, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
After US President Donald Trump hinted that he was interested in a third summit with DPRK chairman Kim Jong-un, Bolton — a Trump appointee — declared that prior to any meeting between the two heads of state there must first be "a real indication from North Korea that they've made the strategic decision to give up nuclear weapons">>>

290 CIA Spies Arrested in Different Countries by Iran

Iranian Intelligence Minister Seyed Mahmoud Alavi announced on Friday that Tehran has delivered unprecedented blows to the US espionage service, identifying and arresting 290 CIA agents across different countries.

"CIA operatives in these countries were identified and arrested and the contacts of the US intelligence agency with its sources were disrupted in such a way that a committee to assess the failure was set up in America," Alavi said today during Friday prayers in Tehran.

He touched on what numerous US spy experts have said about the major intelligence defeat, including one who called it "one of the most catastrophic intelligence failures since the September 11" attacks in 2001.

Alavi said his ministry has shifted from focusing on defensive counter-intelligence to conducting offensive operations.>>>
