Advance Party (NZ) and crowd rallies against Covid-19 restrictions and lockdowns

The woman jailed for breaking out of a managed isolation facility appeared at a protest rally against the government's use of lockdowns and other Covid-19 restrictions.

A crowd of a few thousand packed in Auckland's Aotea Square this afternoon, at the "National Rally for Freedom", organised by Advance Party co-leaders, Jami Lee Ross and Billy Te Kahika.

There was little social distancing and few people in the crowd wore masks.

*Don't you love the condescending last statment. I took a 2hr trip with my wife & son, his first protest, & it was worth it. The thing with NZ, is because of the Treaty of Waitangi, Maori have a good say in NZ politics & Maori make up a large part of Labour's voter base. The problem Aunty Cindy has, is that if she pushes too far, she could, over time lose them. Maori are in a catch 22 in that they want to be independant, but don't have the funds or education & so, end up captives to the Govt with handouts. Aunty Cindy is bending over backwards to give massive handouts to Maori for votes. At least half at the protest were Maori & was a great unifying march for all. If anybody is to help get us out of this hell hole situation, Maori will be the people to lead. We are in Level 2 which is just another way to control everybody & break them & the country financially with Maori being hardest hit.*
