Deconstructing Pilgrim: Ten reasons why the power plant must be closed now

The reactor is still on the worst list according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Identified in the NRC inspection report issued in December, there are still ongoing violations of federal safety standards by Entergy. The NRC special inspection team will be coming to Plymouth the week of January 11 to “review various aspects of the station's corrective action program to determine whether continued operation of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station is acceptable." Immediate shutdown is still on the table. We must insist that the NRC do their job and revoke the operating license now.
