THOUGHT FOR THE DAY!

"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it." -- Woodrow Wilson, 28th President of the United States, The New Freedom, 1913

Moscow alarmed by worsening situation on the Lebanon-Israel border

"Over the past few days we have been witnessing an escalation of tension on the border between Israel and Lebanon," it said. "According to media reports, several rockets were fired from the Lebanese territory on December 20, to which the Israeli army retaliated with artillery fire. No deaths or injuries have been reported," the ministry said. Moscow sees the developments with major concern, the Foreign Ministry said. "The worsening of the situation, including in the area of the Lebanese-Israeli border, is fraught with a further degradation of the situation in the Middle East on the whole," the ministry noted.

Defense ministry calls report on alleged death of Russian soldiers in Syria media hoax

"The Russian Defense Ministry was surprised to learn about a Russian internet outlet report alleging that nine Russian contract servicemen had been killed in Syria. Notable, the outlet cites an investigation conducted by the US newspaper The Wall Street Journal, which, by the way, had no mention of the participation of Russian servicemen in the ground operation. Moreover, not a single word was said there about their death in the territory of Syria," the ministry said in a release. "In the quest for a sensation or seeking to please the more authoritative American media outlet, those who wrote this material did not even bother to read in the internet that this rumor had been launched as far back as October by another Russia news portal. That is why we would recommend to be more careful and verify information not to mislead the readers and not to create shallow sensations," the ministry said.

Media claim volunteer battalions are getting prepared for offensive in Donbas

Gunmen from the so-called volunteer battalions, or paramilitary armed groups, are plotting an unauthorized offensive at the city of Gorlovka in Donbass, the Donetsk News Agency said on Monday citing the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic. "According to our sources, nationalist paramilitary groups are getting prepared to offensive action in violation of the Minsk agreements and orders from Ukraine’s military and political authorities," a DPR defense ministry spokesman was quoted as saying. "The command of Dnepr-1 battalion notorious for its uncontrollability is concentrating military hardware to stage provocations at the Gorlovka direction." Apart from that, the DPR defense ministry cited reconnaissance data that the Ukrainian side had pulled tanks and artillery systems of 152mm caliber to the line of engagement.

Russian Foreign Ministry: Evidence of Orthodox church seizure in Ukraine shocking

The ministry noted that the situation near Rivne was a continuation of a series of similar seizures of churches of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. According to it, ten cathedrals have been fully destroyed, 77 others severely damaged and at least three Orthodox priests have been killed. "Several churches have been seized because of inactivity and sometimes direct involvement of Ukraine’s law enforcement agencies," the Russian Foreign Ministry said. "Many priests fled to Russia trying to save themselves from threats by extremists." "We have the right to expect a strong reaction from international organizations, including the UN, the OSCE and human rights NGOs. The authorities in Kiev must finally rein in the rampaging criminals to prevent the further deepening of the split in the Ukrainian society," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Most microchips of downed Russian bomber's data recorder are damaged — official

Specialists examining the flight data recorder of Russia’s Sukhoi-24M fighter-bomber, downed over Syria on November 24, have found out that 13 of the 16 microchips are hopelessly destroyed and others, damaged, the deputy chief of the Russian Air Force’s flight safety service, Sergey Bainetov, has told the media. One microchip from the Sukhoi-24 black box’s memory module may be in a condition good enough for trying to retrieve data from it, Bainetov said. "Microchip BDD5 may still be operational, because X-ray examination has identified no internal physical damage," he added. According to the official, the black box data can’t be restored by usual methods... Bainetov also noted that international observers present during the study of the flight data recorder of the Russian bomber have praised the transparency of the effort and asked no questions. He said observers monitoring the study included representatives of China, the United Kingdom and also the United States.

Suspected Crimean blockade organizer’s property may be confiscated

The property of Crimea’s former deputy prime minister Lenur Islyamov, believed to be one of the republic’s blockade organizers, will be confiscated if he is found guilty by the court, Crimean top prosecutor Natalya Poklonskaya said on Monday. The measure will be taken to compensate for the damage inflicted due to the committed crimes, Poklonskaya said. "This property will compensate the damage, that means it will be confiscated and added to the state revenue. Islyamov has been charged in absentia with committing an act of sabotage," Poklonskaya said, adding that investigation against the other perpetrators and organizers of the crime is underway. Russia’s Federal Security Service has earlier said a criminal case was also opened against Islyamov for calls to violate Russia’s territorial integrity. In early December, a court in Crimea ordered to arrest the property of Islyamov, the owner of the ATR TV channel, worth several dozen million rubles.

German politician: Turkey can block way for sale of IS oil but does not do so

"Those who really want to defeat ISIS must exert pressure on the godfathers of terrorism in Turkey and in the Gulf States," co-chair of the Left Party faction in Germany's Bundestag Sahra Wagenknecht said. "However, the German government acts in a different way." Instead, it authorises the supply of arms to Gulf countries and, amid the migrant crisis, "rolls out a red carpet before the Turkish government". "That’s utterly irresponsible," she said, adding that "it was necessary to put pressure on Turkey so that it finally closes its border with Syria and blocks the way for oil, weapons and jihadists". According to Wagenknecht, in the Turkish government there are some supporters of the Islamic State group and by shooting down a Russian military plane over Syria Turkey threw off the mask of respectability. "The Turkish government follows the my-enemy’s-enemy-is-my-friend rule. Erdogan’s number one task is to oust Syrian President Bashar Assad and defeat the Kurds.

"I Know Of No One Who Predicted This": Russian Oil Production Hits Record As Saudi Gambit Fails

In late October, we noted that for the second time this year, Russia overtook Saudi Arabia as the biggest exporter of crude to China.

Russia also took the top spot in May, marking the first time in history that Moscow beat out Riyadh when it comes to crude exports to Beijing. “Moscow is wrestling with crippling Western economic sanctions and building closer ties with Beijing is key to mitigating the pain,” we said in October, on the way to explaining that closer ties between Russia and China as it relates to energy are part and parcel of a burgeoning relationship between the two countries who have voted together on the Security Council on matters of geopolitical significance.

You may also recall that Gazprom Neft (which is the number three oil producer in Russia) began settling all sales to China in yuan starting in January. This, we said, is yet another sign of the petrodollar’s imminent demise.

Parents and their children stage a class walkout to see Santa after a Jewish mother 'waged war on Christmas' and got their public school to cancel the holiday field trip

A Jewish mother is under attack after she successfully petitioned her child's public school to cancel their annual trip to visit Santa Claus.

The woman, whose name is Talia, has a daughter at Sartorette Elementary School in San Jose, California, did not want her to participate in a kindergarten field trip where the children write letters to Santa then go to deliver them, drink hot chocolate and sit on his lap.

She decided to write a four-page letter to the school committee, and now the decade-long tradition has been canceled by the principal and superintendent.

This move however has angered other parents, who staged a walkout on Friday with their children and took them to see Santa.

Four Russian Fighter Jets to Escort President Assad's Plane in Visit to Tehran

"Four strategic Russian fighter jets will accompany the plane carrying the Syrian president during the visit to and from Iran," the Lebanese al-Diyar daily reported on Sunday.

Erdogan Meets With Crimean Blockade Organizers: Naval Provocation Imminent?

On Thursday, the Russian-language edition of the Turkish state-run Anadolu Agency news service unceremoniously reported that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had met with Mustafa Dzhemilev, one of the key organizers of the so-called 'food' and 'electricity' blockades of Crimea.

Interestingly, only the Russian-language version of the QHA news story took the time to explain what was discussed. According to the article, the men spoke about the emerging "strategic partnership" between Turkey and Ukraine, prospects of a free trade area, questions surrounding the "civil blockade of Crimea," and "the formation of a military unit in the Kherson region," among other issues.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would not characterise the last statement that Kiev or NATO may well support a naval blockade as "outlandish"; everything NATO, the US, and Kiev have done after last year's putsch in Ukraine, to attempt to aggravate Putin, has failed utterly, so they may well try another tack, now that Crimea has joined the Russian federation.

FLASHBACK - THE HILLARY EMAIL SCANDAL - THE SCANDALS BEHIND THE SCANDAL

There is a term of craft in Propaganda called a "Limited Hangout." This refers to admitting to a smaller scandal as a distraction from the larger scandal that must remain hidden.

See how it works?

Good.

Because it appears we are in the middle of yet another limited hangout, in which the public furor over the questionable use of a private email server by Hillary Clinton may be concealing far greater and darker secrets!

Let us start with the email server issue itself.

Webmaster's Commentary:

BUMP TO THEW TOP

PLEASE FORWARD AND REPOST

When I first wrote this article, I suggested two potential scandals lurking behind Hillary's email server. The first was covert arming of ISIS and Al Qaeda by the US Government (or at least by Hillary). The second was the likely possibility that Hillary was using her weak email server and "charitable" foundation to stage a repeat of the "Chinagate" secrets-for-campaign-cash scandal.

The first suggested theory has now been confirmed.

Will the same be true for the second?

DID YOU KNOW THE CIA PLANNED A MUSLIM INVASION OF RUSSIA?

According to its own formerly TOP SECRET Central Intelligence Bulletin, dated December 4, 1952, during the waning days of the Harry Truman administration, the Central Intelligence Agency had embarked on a program to foment nationalism among the Uzbek tribes of Afghanistan in order that it might spill across the border into the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, a constituent republic of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. This revelation means that the current attempt by such anti-Russian U.S. official and quasi-official intelligence policy makers, including former Jimmy Carter national security adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, hedge fund tycoon George Soros, and CIA director John Brennan, to bring about a radical Muslim destabilization of the Russian Federation is nothing new.

Pharmaceutical Marketing Supported by Deceitful Clinical Research

The business model for bringing lucrative new pharmaceutical drugs to market includes very robust marketing budgets, and 9 out of 10 pharmaceutical companies spend more on advertising than they do on research. And why not? Americans spend an average of $1000 per person, per year on pharmaceutical drugs, and the effort to capture these dollars is leading more companies to fast track or even fabricate the research involved in bringing a new drug to market.

Today’s Christmas is truly a hodgepodge of ancient rituals and celebrations, with roots as far back as 4000 years to the Mesopotamians. Christmas really has nothing to do with the alleged historical birthday of a human called Jesus. EXCLUSIVE: DHS placing patriots on domestic terror watch lists in unlawful attempt to escalate violent interactions with police

The Department of Homeland Security is intentionally placing local law enforcement in harm's way by knowing (and falsely) entering the license plates of patriot-oriented radio hosts in the federal "terror watch" database. The aim of this tactic is to intentionally cause escalations of high-tension interactions between local police and pro-gun patriots, knowing that local law enforcement will respond to terror watch list hits with an escalated engagement posture involving firearms being drawn and pointed at the suspects.

The answer is simple: DHS is intentionally placing patriots on the terror watch list to get them pulled over and hopefully shot to death by cops. Those who survive the interaction are then "cleared" by DHS, which deems the whole thing an "unfortunate mistake."

Benjamin Netanyahu 'threatens to strip Jerusalem residency from 230,000 Palestinians'

Plans to strip Jerusalem residency rights from Palestinians in the wake of recent violence could affect more than 230,000 people, according to reports.

Identity cards give around 350,000 Palestinians in East Jerusalem the right to work and move freely across the city, and are used by residents both inside and outside the separation wall built in 2003.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has previously hinted at the prospect of taking away residency rights from some Palestinians, seemingly manipulating public fears about a wave of Israeli-Palestinian violence that began around two months ago.

But the new figures, reported by the pro-Likud Hebrew Channel 2 and the Anadolou Agency in Turkey, would also impact Palestinians inside the wall and threatens to dramatically alter the demographic balance of Jerusalem.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If Netanyahu cannot outright commit physical genocide against the Palestinians in Jerusalem, this plan is telegraphing economic genocide against them.

And what is the criteria for stripping Palestinians of their Jerusalem residency, please?!?

Will this be done just on the Israeli government official equivalent of the US President's executive order, or on the vote of the Knesset?!?

In a country with no written constitution, getting such a law passed may well be very easy.

Russia is ready: Putin warns his men could use MORE military might to destroy ISIS jihadis

RUSSIAN President Vladimir Putin has warned his armed forces are ready to use "more military means" to obliterate Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria as his fight against the terror group rages on.

The Russian leader boasted about how the twisted jihadis have yet to see the full force of his aggression, as he said Moscow was ready to batter the militants with "the most modern weapons".

Russia is currently in the midst of an explosive campaign against the evil terror group - also known as Daesh - with the nation claiming to have already wiped out hundreds of terrorists.

Speaking about Russian military presence in Syria, President Putin was quoted as saying: "We see how efficiently our pilots and intelligence agents coordinate their efforts with various kinds of forces - the army, navy and aviation, how they use the most modern weapons.

"I want to stress that these are by far not all of our capabilities. We have more military means. And we will use them - if need be."

Say Good-Bye to ‘COOL’: Congress Repeals Country-of-Origin Meat Labeling Rule

Thanks to a label that reads “Product of the USA,” consumers have been able to find out a package of steaks or pork chops in the freezer section at their local grocery store came from America. But soon meat lovers will be hard-pressed to figure out whether the animals on their dinner plates were raised and slaughtered—in the States or halfway around the world.

The country-of-origin labeling rule, known as COOL, was repealed under the federal spending bill passed Friday by Congress, The Wall Street Journal reports. President Barack Obama added his signature to the bill as well.

The decision to repeal COOL comes on the heels of a ruling from the World Trade Organization that found the labels discriminate against meat raised and slaughtered in countries other than the U.S. Earlier this month, the WTO allowed Mexico and Canada—America’s top ag partners—to impose more than $1 billion in tariffs on U.S. goods in retaliation if the labels were not removed.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Most people want to know where their meat comes from, what it has been fed, what hormones and GMO foods it has been given, how it is raised, and how it is butchered!

Congress has just collectively spit in the faces of the Americans they allegedly represent, and then told us it is raining.

But we still have the power to demand that our stores tell us where our meat comes from and how it was raised; otherwise...a very healthy, peaceful boycott is advised, until they do!!

Iranian Hackers Infiltrated Computers That Control New York Dam

Iranian hackers breached the control system of a dam near New York City in 2013, an infiltration that raised concerns about the security of the country's infrastructure, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing former and current U.S. officials.
Two people familiar with the breach told the newspaper it occurred at the Bowman Avenue Dam in Rye, New York. The small structure about 20 miles from New York City is used for flood control.
The hackers gained access to the dam through a cellular modem, the Journal said, citing an unclassified Department of Homeland Security summary of the incident that did not specify the type of infrastructure.
The dam is a 20-foot-tall concrete slab across Blind Brook, about five miles from Long Island Sound.
"It's very, very small," Rye City Manager Marcus Serrano told the newspaper. He said FBI agents visited in 2013 to ask the city's information-technology manager about a hacking incident.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And the absolute, incontrovertible proof that this was actually the fault of the Iranian government exists.....where?!?

And if this incident actually happened in 2013, why is it being reported now?!? To vilify the Iranian government and the Iranian people?!?

If something this completely sloppy passes for alleged "news" at Reuters, the executive leadership should resign, en masse.

And since the P5 +1 agreement has been approved, why the push to demonize Iran right now?!?

One simply has to wonder...............

The Fed Has Delivered Far More Than Just A Lump Of Coal This Time

If one meme has been constant these subsequent years since the great financial melt down of 2008 it’s been: BTFD (buy the dip) Not just some dips – but every dip. And why not? The Federal Reserve had all but assured Wall Street that since its first intervention into the markets and the resulting “risk on” behavior it produced resembling a Pavlovian experiment, it would indeed reincarnate the procedure every-time there seemed to be even the slightest hiccup in the markets. “Emergency monetary policy measures” would indeed be left in place for “an extended period.”

Putin Blasts Interventionist US Foreign Policy, Calls Forcible Regime Change "Intolerable"

"Let’s remember why we became part of a coalition to stop [Libyan dictator Muammar] Gaddafi from committing atrocities against his people.”
That’s from Hillary Clinton who defended here foreign policy credentials in Saturday night’s third Democratic presidential debate. Hitting back at Bernie Sanders, who accused her of being “too much into regime change and a little bit too aggressive without knowing what the unintended consequences might be,” the former Secretary of State said the US “will not get the support on the ground in Syria to dislodge ISIS if the fighters there - who are not associated with ISIS, but whose principal goal is getting rid of Assad - don’t believe there is a political diplomatic channel that is ongoing.”

"I am not giving up on Libya and no one should," she added.

Selling desperate Syrian refugees’ body parts for profit: Israeli man arrested in Turkey for organ trafficking

The situation in Syria today is nothing short of catastrophic. More than half of the entire population has been displaced in a civil war now approaching its fifth year, and almost 4.3 million Syrian refugees are registered with the U.N. Millions are crowded into densely population refugee camps in neighboring Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon. Many live on the street, and few have access to basic resources or job prospects. Traffickers have taken advantage of Syrian refugees’ desperation, in hopes of making money. An Israeli man was arrested in Turkey today for organ trafficking. He came to Istanbul to try to convince impoverished Syrian refugees to sell their organs, in a story first reported by Turkey’s Doan News Agency, and later by Israel’s YNet and Germany’s Deutsche Welle.

An Xmas Message From Satan - "Ignorance, My Poor Dear Americans, Will Not Save You"

As you know, this time of year usually finds me quite despondent, as the Prince of Peace's influence waxes most atrociously around his birthday. But this year I am in fine spirits, nay, let me even declare myself absolutely giddy, for the destruction of the United States of America by its own citizenry and government draws ever nearer.

Though my minions have long sown festering seeds of hate and disharmony in that now-benighted land, my favored weapons of destruction--leverage, debt, half-truths and endless, self-serving justifications for greed, sloth, lust, pride, envy, anger and gluttony--have wormed their way into the stricken heart of that Republic and are now the default setting of American culture.

The top 9 atheist wins of 2015

In 2015, atheists began to assert themselves even more in the public square as prominent atheists such as HBO host Bill Maher, biologist Richard Dawkins, and neuroscientist Sam Harris used cable television and social media to openly discuss their lack of faith in a world that has become consumed by religious fundamentalism of all stripes.

While there have been some set-backs, atheists scored wins at the grassroots level and in the courts that were not intended to destroy religion and take away the rights of people of faith — but to protect and acknowledge the rights of non-believers and remove religious influence over public policy.

? CENTRAL BANKS HAVE PUSHED THE MIDDLE CLASS DOWN INTO NEOFEUDAL SERFDOM

The injustice of central-bank enforced neofeudalism cannot be suppressed like interest rates.

In traditional feudal systems, serfs were the landless peasantry who worked the land of their feudal lords in exchange for protection. In our present-day neofeudal system, serfdom has a different definition: present-day serfs own little or no productive capital and have few opportunities to ever acquire any.

VIDEO: CLINTON SPOKESWOMAN NERVOUSLY STRUGGLES TO DEFEND HILL'S CLAIM TRUMP VIDEOS HELP ISIS RECRUIT

Hillary Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri struggled Sunday to defend her boss' claim that videos of Donald Trump's anti-Muslim rhetoric were being used as recruitment tools for the Islamic State.

Appearing on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Palmieri appeared uncomfortable backing Clinton's claim at Saturday's debate that fact-checkers from the New York Times and PolitiFact have debunked.

"Um, the uh, uh, you know, Donald Trump, I think, was talking?uh, you know, what Secretary Clinton was saying last night is that one of the many dangerous things about Donald Trump is that, uh, his hot rhetoric, saying we shouldn't allow Muslim refugees into the country, is being used, and this is something that [an international group] has, who monitors social media and uh, on ISIS, has said?" she said before Stephanopoulos cut in.

"But there have been no videos," Stephanopoulos said.

More than 103,000 children 'homeless at Christmas' in England

The number of children spending Christmas in temporary accommodation in England has reached a seven-year high, the housing charity Shelter has said.
New figures show there were 14,670 households accepted as homeless between July and September, the largest number since 2008.
According to Shelter, more than 103,000 children will spend Christmas in B&Bs, hostels or temporary rented homes.
Ministers said the figures were still half the 2003 and 2004 peak.
Department for Communities and Local Government statistics show there were 68,560 families in temporary housing from July to September this year, compared with 60,900 in the same three months of 2014.
And 53,480 of those were households with children, compared with 45,590 at the same time the year before.
Shelter said a quarter of all homeless households living in temporary accommodation in England had been moved away to another council area.

Webmaster's Commentary:

CONGRESS OPENS THE FLOODGATES TO FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN U.S. REAL ESTATE

One of the key themes here at Liberty Blitzkrieg over the past couple of years, has been to highlight the fact that individuals or institutions with access to capital or cheap financing have been buying up properties across the U.S. in order to rent them to the same people foreclosed on during the financial crisis. This represents a primary driver in the transformation of the American economy into a neo-feual wasteland of broke debt serfs. The Basics of a Staged Bioterror Event

“Dr. Hognose Detrick of the US Biological Warfare Group waddled into a meeting room, where a collection of Army, CIA, NSA, and HS representatives sat quietly in their chairs. Forget all that sci-fi nonsense. Germs work and they don’t work. It’s a crapshoot. You could have a big fat dud on your hands. I can tell you how to make it work, though, if you give up on your fancy high-tech wet dreams..” (The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

Iran sees Israeli lobby behind U.S. visa waiver changes

Iran's foreign ministry said on Monday that Israeli lobbying was behind a new measure passed by the U.S. Congress that will prevent visa-free travel to the United States for people who have visited Iran or hold Iranian nationality.

The measure, which President Barack Obama signed into law on Friday, also applies to Iraq, Syria and Sudan, and was introduced as a security measure following the Islamic State attacks in Paris and similar attacks in San Bernardino.

Iran, a Shi'ite Muslim theocracy staunchly opposed to Sunni radicalism, says its inclusion on the list is intended to undermine a nuclear deal that Tehran reached with world powers, including the United States, in July, known as the JCPOA.

In an interview with Press TV on Monday, Scott Bennett, a former US army psychological warfare officer, said the claim was “outrageous,” as it is the US who helped the ISIL run its propaganda machine by providing it with sophisticated computers through its main supporters among Persian Gulf.

Shocking video 'captures cops shooting dead an unarmed and handcuffed man, 23, then planting a gun beside him'

Graphic new cellphone video has emerged which appears to show cops shooting dead a 23-year-old cyclist as he lay handcuffed on the ground.

Noel Aguilar was killed by Los Angeles County deputies Albert Murad and Jose Ruiz in 2014 who claimed that they shot him after he tried to grab one of their guns. They also alleged Aguilar had a loaded weapon.

Now footage of the incident, dropped off anonymously at the attorney's office for the suspect's family, appears to show the two officers shooting Aguilar while he was lying face down on the ground with his hands cuffed behind him.

Guizar also claims footage shows one of the deputies planting a weapon on the ground next to Aguilar before taking out another gun and shooting him, the Press Telegram reports.

First Nancy Lanza was said to be a teacher at Sandy Hook, then a substitute teacher; but now we know she was neither. She was actually an employee at Morgan Stanley—and before that at Citigroup. First the principal at Sandy Hook gave a statement to the press, describing all the shots being fired. Then it was reported the principal was killed.
