"After World War II, in the name of containing Communism, the United States, mostly through the actions of local allies, executed or encouraged coups in, among other places, Guatemala, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and patronized a brutal mercenary war in Nicaragua ... By the end of the Cold War, Latin American security forces trained, funded, equipped, and incited by Washington had executed a reign of bloody terror - hundreds of thousands killed, an equal number tortured, millions driven into exile-from which the region has yet to fully recover." -- Greg Grandin in his book "Empire's Workshop"

Recent years have seen a rise in publicity for police unions and their leaders, most famous for their unquestioning defense of criminal officers and leadership that spouts vitriolic rhetoric. Stephanie Lopez, president of the Albuquerque Police Officers Association (APOA), proved this stereotype to be true, and herself as both a bully and a criminal, after being arrested for beating her underage daughter.

Lopez was charged with child abuse and booked on a $5,000 bond after causing great bodily harm to her daughter. The daughter was struck repeatedly in the head, had her hair pulled, and was thrown to the ground by Lopez. After reporting it to her school resource officers, the daughter and school administrators went to law enforcement – a somewhat brave act, considering her mother’s relationship with the police department. As such, the Bernalillo County Sherrif’s Department, instead of the Albuquerque Police Department, undertook the investigation and subsequent arrest.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When police officers believe that their obligation "to protect and serve" means that they can beat anyone up, even their own kids, or kill them with a firearm with impunity, you have an institutionally sick culture; and that is what is happening with American policing right now.

On today's Outnumbered, Harris Faulkner began this, yet another, Fox whine about those nasty, evil secularists who are waging war on Jesus. She reported on the "outrage" in a Kentucky school district that removed "all references to religion" from its upcoming holiday play, "A Charlie Brown Christmas." She noted that this happened when just one evil parent complained about the part of the play in which Linus quotes the New Testament about Jesus' birth.

Buried in the 2,000-page omnibus spending bill released by the Senate Wednesday morning is a secret provision that many senators hope unemployed blue-collar workers won’t find out about.

This provision would quadruple the number of H-2B visas for low-skilled foreign “guest workers.” It would allow more than a quarter-of-a-million foreign workers to enter the U.S. each year and work in the construction industry, hotel-motel services, truck drivers, food processing, forestry and many other fields that don’t require a college education.

A vote on the spending bill is expected late Thursday night, possibly after midnight, sources on the Hill told WND.

The bill also includes funding for all of President Obama’s foreign refugee resettlement program and does nothing to stop the proliferation of so-called “sanctuary cities.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yet more demonstration (as if we needed it) that the political class, on both sides of the aisle, despises the lower middle class in this country.

This omnibus spending bill is proof positive of this.

Are you angry yet?!?

Claims that trade pacts like the pending Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) will not trump public health and environmental policies were revealed to be fiction on Tuesday after Congress, bending to the will of the World Trade Organization, killedthe popular country-of-origin label (COOL) law.

The provision, tucked inside the omnibus budget agreement, repeals a law that required labels for certain packaged meats, which food safety and consumer groups have said is essential for consumer choice and animal welfare, as well as environmental and public health.

Congress successful revoked the mandate just over one week after the WTO ruled that the U.S. could be forced to pay $1 billion annually to its NAFTA partners, which argued that the law "accorded unfavorable treatment to Canadian and Mexican livestock."

Webmaster's Commentary:

We know when Obama lies; he opens his mouth...and words come out of it.

Unfortunately, the words "credibility" and "The US Federal government" can no longer be used in the same sentence by any thinking individual, with a straight face, during the rest of his watch.

Eyewitness to terror attack: ‘Three tall white men did it’

We now know that ATF investigators recovered police issued firearms from the alleged shooters. This key detail was leaked by 2016 GOP Presidential Candidate Carly Fiorina during a press interview after she had overheard a newsroom report that doesn’t fit the official narrative.

We also know that active shooter drills actually took place near the crime scene just days before and possibly even on the same day of the mass shooting as reported by Mac Slavo.

Additionally details from an eyewitness, who came forth on the day of the shooting, may have been overlooked by investigators and suggest that there were actually ‘three white shooters’ instead of the radicalized husband and wife natural-born killer team portrayed in some mainline reports.

Something Strange Is Taking Place In The Middle Of The Atlantic Ocean

As FT reported, "the amount of oil [now] at sea is at least double the levels of earlier this year and is equivalent to more than a day of global oil supply.” In short: the global deflationary crude supply glut is beginning to manifest itself in a flotilla of stationary supertankers, as millions of barrels of oil are simply stuck in the ocean as VLCCs wait to unload.

Ultimately, this led to nearly 40 crude tankers with a combined cargo capacity of 28.4 million barrels waiting to anchor near Galveston. Here’s what the logjam looked like

Under the original CISA legislation, companies would share their users' information with federal government departments once it had been anonymized. But as the bill was amended, the privacy parts of the proposed law have been stripped away. Now companies don't have to anonymize data before handing it over. In addition, the government can use it for surveillance and for activities outside cybercrime. And in addition, companies don't have to report security failings even if they spot them.

Avakov issued a video of the conflict with Saakashvili

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is an argument between Saakashvili and Avakov in the Ukrainian Government. Everyone was present. They are accusing each other of corruption.

The funny thing is that Avakov is Armenian and Saakashvili is Georgian and since they do not speak each other's language, they are arguing in Russian....the language that the Ukrainian Government wants to make illegal.

B.C.’s Attorney – General office wants $7,500.00 for the transcript of Topham Trial By RadicalPress.com

Well, there you have it. $7,500.00 for the transcript of R v Roy Arthur Topham less the Charge to the Jury which would have included another 62 pages raising the cost up a few hundred dollars more. Had I required the transcript in 3 business days the price would have jumped up another $1,500.00 bringing the total to $9,000.00.

It’s no wonder that the little guys and gals who get caught up in the machinery of Canada’s “Just”us system invariably find themselves in a position where it becomes just too cost prohibitive to challenge decisions that could, were they accessible financially, be amenable to positive change.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is clear that the court that found Topham guilty is doing whatever it can to make it impossible for Topham to pursue a Charter Challenge (Canada's equivalent of a Supreme Court test) to challenge the law under which his freedom of speech was attacked. The price set by the Quesnel Court Registry is absurd in the extreme and was clearly decided on in the hope that Topham would simply be unable to afford to take the case any further!

Senator Checking If Ted Cruz Released Classified Info During GOP Debate

The chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee said Wednesday he has asked his staff to look into whether Texas Sen. Ted Cruz released classified information during Tuesday night's GOP presidential debate.

Cruz made a claim during an exchange with Florida Sen. Marco Rubio about the new USA Freedom Act, which Cruz supported and Rubio opposed. Cruz said that "nearly 100 percent" of phone numbers can be checked for terror ties under the new program, compared with "20 percent to 30 percent" under earlier Patriot Act provisions.

Rubio responded that national television is not the place to discuss classified information, before going on to dispute Cruz's suggestions.

Is psychopharmacology the scientific fraud of the century? 64% of psychology experiments can't be reproduced

An article in the journal Science casts doubt on how seriously the findings of any one psychological or other type of scientific study should be taken. In order to contribute to an ongoing debate about the reliability of psychological research, 270 researchers on five continents repeated 100 experiments that had been published in major psychological journals in 2008.

They were only able to replicate the original experiment's findings in 36 of 100 cases.

Putin Throws Down the Gauntlet

Would you be willing to defend your country against a foreign invasion?

That’s all Putin is doing in Syria. He’s just preempting the tidal wave of jihadis that’ll be coming his way once the current fracas is over. He figures it’s better to exterminate these US-backed maniacs in Syria now than face them in Chechnya, St Petersburg and Moscow sometime in the future. Can you blame him? After all, if Washington’s strategy works in Syria, then you can bet they’ll try the same thing in Beirut, Tehran and Moscow.

So what choice does Putin have?
