Webmaster's Commentary:

So if the NSA is that good, why didn't they come up with Hillary's or Lois Lerner's missing emails? Why can't they hunt down the ransomware authors? Why can't they catch the identity thieves?

I am starting to think all this "we are spying on everything" is a hoax to scare people into silence, much as the Nazis promoted the image that the Gestapo heard and saw everything to keep the German people silent.

FEDS GO DOOR-TO-DOOR TO INFORM GUN OWNERS RIGHTS NOT ABSOLUTE

Thank God criminals follow laws – otherwise we might be in trouble. This has always been the traditional attitude of government in regards to gun restrictions. It is important to note that everybody believes in gun rights. – It is just a question of who has those rights. So-called “gun-control supporters” don’t support the absence of guns in society, they support gun ownership being monopolized and centralized in the hands of the state and their enforcers(police).

The Drug War Has to End: David Simon on “The Wire” & Over-Policing of the Poor

In his acclaimed TV show "The Wire," David Simon captured the city of Baltimore from the angles of street-level drug dealers, beat police officers and journalists covering corrupt politicians. Earlier this year, President Obama described "The Wire" as "one of the greatest, not just television shows, but pieces of art, in the last couple of decades.” Simon said he aimed to portray how "raw, unencumbered capitalism" devalues human beings. Nearly a decade ago in Slate, Jacob Weisberg wrote: "No other program has ever done anything remotely like what this one does, namely to portray the social, political, and economic life of an American city with the scope, observational precision, and moral vision of great literature."

Russian-German experiment to control robots with the ISS will be extended

"Cowardly rudeness"
The Chairman of the Duma Committee for security and combating corruption Irina Yarovaya called cowardly rudeness behavior in USA the situation with the issuance of visas to the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
"Cowardly rudeness is the only way to describe the behavior of the United States in the situation with visa Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko, the speaker of the upper house of the Russian Parliament, known and respected in the world policy. Cowardly - because they didn't dare to deny, trying to keep the false face of "freedom" and allegedly compliance with international law. Rudeness - because it is unacceptable to offer a visa on the last day and limited political capacity of the delegation of the sovereign state."

FLASHBACK - Dehumanization of a country and its people -Target: Iran

Dehumanization is a process by which a person, or a group of people, or a country as a whole is subjected to constant (but subtle and overt) statements of asserted demonization, for instance being called 'evil' or being compared to a historic figure (like Hitler) which most people despise.

Dehumanization may be directed by an organization (such as a state) or may be the composite of individual sentiments and actions, as with some types of de facto racism. State-organized dehumanization has been directed against perceived racial or ethnic groups, nationalities (or "foreigners" in general), religious groups, genders (against women and men), minorities of various sexual orientations (e.g. homosexuals), disabled people as a class, economic ( for instance, the homeless), and social classes, and many other groups.

Again and again I see references made regarding Iran that resembles that of Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Soviet Union.

The Petrovsky District of Donetsk has constantly been under fire from the Ukrainian army and national battalions. The first shelling of residential areas there was registered in July last year.

Voters are almost evenly divided on that question: the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Clinton should suspend her campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination until all of the legal questions about her use of the private e-mail server are resolved. Flanigan (who also goes by Bryce Williams) took to Twitter to explain his reasons for shooting dead WDBJ reporter Alison Parker, 24, and cameraman Adam Ward, 27.

Flanigan, who is African American, wrote that Parker made 'racist comments' and that a complaint was filed against her through the equal employment opportunity commission, but his station chose to hire her anyway.

Adults Targeted as Federal Government Prepares to Track the Unvaccinated

During the National Vaccine Advisory Committee’s (NVAC) February meeting, American adults were put on notice by Big Brother that non-compliance with federal vaccine recommendations will not be tolerated. Public health officials have unveiled a new plan to launch a massive nationwide vaccination promotion campaign involving private business and non-profit organizations to pressure all adults to comply with the adult vaccination schedule approved by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).1

The Insidious Relationship between The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Big Pharma

I’ve been writing and speaking about dangerous medical drugs for almost 30 years, and I haven’t seen any limits placed on the basic FDA-Pharma partnership. This isn’t case of seeing a) government or b) corporations as the basic criminal. They’re both criminals, in collaboration with each other.

In a half-sane society, the big drug companies would have been prosecuted to the sky long ago. Their charters to do business in any state would have been revoked. Their CEOs, executives, and scientists would have been put behind bars for life. Even a limited federal government would have done that.

Here is where I’m in accord with Libertarians: people have the right and the freedom to refuse medication, under any circumstances, even where the experts claim death will be the inevitable outcome. And people have the right to ingest any compounds they decide might help them.

NATO Military Buildup on Russia’s Doorstep: Who Is Doing the Saber-Rattling in Eastern Europe?

Over the past year and a half, NATO armed forces have almost doubled the number of military exercises they have staged near the Russian border: between 2012 and 2013 they conducted an average of 95 such training events per year, but there have already been 150 so far in 2015, and flights by reconnaissance aircraft along the Russian frontier have increased tenfold.

But in an attempt to unfairly place the blame on Russia for such exercises, the London-based European Leadership Network issued a report on Aug. 12 that uses a flawed methodology to compare one type of exercise held in Russia in 2015 with another kind of military drill organized by NATO this year. Criticism was only leveled at the large number of troops involved in the Russian exercise, because the alliance’s drill was smaller on that scale. The report’s purpose was obvious: to shift the entirety of the West’s own culpability for war preparations in Europe onto the Russians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg; every time you accuse Russia of being the "aggressor", but can offer absolutely no tangible proof of these allegedly "aggressive actions", you lose any degree of credibility you might have ever once had.

I would strongly counsel restraint regarding any possible military conflict against Russia.

And if you think Afghanistan has been a debacle for NATO (and there is no other nice way to put it, sir), a war with Russia may well be a classic, horrific epic fail for NATO.

I would strongly and politely suggest that you may want to assist in getting Europe's own house in order, and work with those European nations overrun with desperate and displaced refugees, fleeing from wars of the US's and the West's making, to offer some humanity and dignity to those people who cannot ever go home again.

Perhaps, in this manner, NATO may redeem its reputation.

Netanyahu Sidelined As UK Re-Opens British Embassy in Teheran

Binyamin Netanyahu has been left sidelined as UK re-opens its embassy in Teheran in anticipation of renewed diplomatic and commercial ties between these two major world economies and as European firms race for Iranian oil projects worth up to $185 billion.

In the meantime, however, the Israeli government, with zero oil and dependent on imports, has instructed AIPAC, its foreign affairs agency in Washington, to make every effort – including the spending of $20 million – to try to persuade members of the American House of Representatives to overturn the agreed deal between the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, with Iran.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A short memo to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, regarding a US-led war to "neutralize" Iran for you: thank you, sir, but ABSOLUTELY NOT.

The American people are war-weary, and war-skeptical, to say nothing of having had to shoulder the enormous financial burdens on this country which have been undertaken to fund those debacles which are, and were, Afghanistan, Yemen, Iraq, Libya, and Somalia.

IF Israel feels that Iran MUST be neutralized, American citizens strongly suggest that Israel, which has one of the finest, most modern militaries on the planet (paid for with American tax dollars and nuclear armed) can do the job perfectly well. If Tel Aviv believes that Iran should be attacked, it should be Israelis who fight, die, and are maimed for life; not American military.

We'll just sit back and eat popcorn while you and Iran fight, and see just what Vlad Putin will do at that point; it ought to be a very interesting response, sir, because Russian civilian and military personnel have stated, unequivocally, that if Iran is attacked, Russia will come to its aid militarily.

And were I you, sir, I would not bet against that.

13,000 fall into homelessness every month in L.A. County, report says

About 13,000 people on public assistance tumble into homelessness every month in Los Angeles County, according to a new study that experts say provides the clearest picture yet of extreme poverty in the region.

Although many quickly find work or rely on family to get off the streets, the number experiencing "continuous, unremitting, chronic homelessness" continues to grow, even after 10,000 people were housed over the last three years, according to the report being released Tuesday by the Economic Roundtable, a nonprofit research group in Los Angeles.

The report recommended that the welfare system intervene to help children and young adults who become homeless before their condition becomes chronic.

"Prevention is critical for reducing the number of people who experience homelessness as well as the number who become chronically homeless," the study said. "Housing does not provide a solution until the pathways into homelessness are narrowed."

Webmaster's Commentary:

That's 156,000 LA residents slipping into homelessness in the greater LA area every year.

And it doesn't seem to matter which party is in power in this country, because the constant outsourcing/offshoring continues to be unrelenting.

IF the US government's purpose to this practice is to effectively eviscerate and destroy America's middle class, they are making what has to be characterized as a terrific start in Southern California.

Fracking triggered 2014 earthquake in northeastern B.C.

Fracking triggered a 4.4-magnitude earthquake in northeastern B.C. last year, CBC News has learned, making it one of world's largest earthquakes ever triggered by the controversial process.

B.C.'s Oil and Gas Commission confirmed the cause of the earthquake in an email statement to CBC this week, saying it was "triggered by fluid injection during hydraulic fracturing."

The 4.4-magnitude quake was felt in Fort St. John and Fort Nelson in August 2014. It was preceded by a 3.8-magnitude earthquake in late July, also caused by fracking.

B.C.'s Oil and Gas Commission told CBC that several companies were doing hydraulic fracturing in the area at the time, and several more were disposing of fracking waste.

But the commission says it was Progress Energy's operations that were "associated with triggering this event."

Complaint claims US taxpayer dollars subsidizing Jewish terrorism in Israel

Taxpayer dollars in the United States and Israel are subsidizing Jewish terrorism against Arabs, a complaint filed with the New York state Attorney General’s Office alleges.

The accusations follow a recent expose by Israel’s Channel 10 about the work of the 13-year-old Israeli nonprofit Honenu, which provides financial support to Jews convicted of or on trial for violence against Palestinians, including so-called price tag attacks in the West Bank. The television program aired earlier this month in the aftermath of the July 31 firebombing of a Palestinian home in the West Bank village of Duma that killed an 18-month-old boy and his father. No suspects were arrested in the attack, but Jewish extremists are suspected. The attackers scrawled the Hebrew word for “revenge” at the site of the arson.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I don't know if this complaint will get any real traction, but the Rabbinic Call for Human Rights deserves praise, in my world, for taking a stand against Israeli extremist violence against Palestinians.

One Year After War, People of Gaza Still Sit Among the Ruins

The men of Shejaiya still come daily to sit vigil in the desolate ruins of their neighborhood, drinking tea and playing chess. But these days, there are also clusters of construction workers on Shejaiya’s dirt paths, finally pouring a few cement foundations and hammering together wood planks.

Fouad Harara, 56, arrives at his house on Montar Street before 6 a.m. to check the previous day’s work against his thick wad of engineering blueprints. He returns at midday with chicken and rice for the 10 men who have, over the past four weeks, completed the cinder-block ground floor where Mr. Harara plans to revive his electrical-services business and erected pylons for the second of seven sketched stories.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Remember; this is what your US tax dollars do for Israel in Gaza.

And take one good, hard look at that picture, and imagine, for one moment, that was YOUR building, bombed to smithereens, and there was no place to go.

Talmud and Taboo

I greatly enjoyed watching David Duke’s recent taboo-busting confrontation with Alex Jones. Duke excelled, getting his facts across in a calm and almost irresistible manner. Even during the earliest stages of the debate Jones looked ill-informed and uneasy, resorting, as so many commentators have when confronted by Duke’s erudition, to giggling juvenile jibes at KKK “wizards, goblins and cyclops.”

As the show came to its conclusion I found myself reflecting on an earlier taboo-busting confrontation involving Duke, and the broader implications of decisions to silence discussion of negative Jewish influences on our society. We are all well aware that this topic is off-limits in mainstream discourse. What I am instead referring to is the taboo as it exists in the alternative sphere, specifically in the political and cultural expressions of White advocacy.

At Least 40 Killed as Fighting Spreads in Central Yemen

While last week’s fighting in Yemen focused on the city of Taiz, it is now spreading elsewhere in the central portion of the country, with significant fighting in Mukayris, in the Bayda Province, leaving at least 40 people dead today.

After pro-Saudi forces captured the southern port of Aden, both sides were believed to be focusing on Taiz as a key route between Aden and the Houthi-held capital of Sanaa. Mukayris is a backup plan with Taiz turning into such a mess, as it too lies on one of the nation’s few major highways, connecting Sanaa to the southern coast.

Today’s fighting in the area left 19 Houthis, 15 pro-Saudi fighters, and another six civilians slain. Through 150 days the Saudi war against Yemen has left some 4,500 killed, including a massive number of civilians.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government-enabled collective punishment the Saudis are meting out against civilians in Yemen is a moral abomination. It has been engineered to remind the Yemenite people (and the world) that when a US government installs its puppet as that country's president, those citizens of that country should never, ever believe that they can throw the guy out of office, no matter how lousy, corrupt, or awful that president's leadership might be.

Centcom Skewed ISIS War Intel To Be More Upbeat

The perennial positivity of all public Pentagon assessments on the war against ISIS, despite major, glaring losses on the ground, has been a matter of no small controversy for awhile, and has also successfully kept the elected officials who are on the receiving end of those assessments maintaining the war strategy as-is.

Even the Pentagon is less confident in how this is happening these days, and the matter is now the subject of an internal investigation being carried out by the Inspectors General, focusing on Central Command (Centcom) deliberately “reworking” the conclusions of several assessments produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to seem more upbeat on the war.

According to one of the DIA analysts, the agency was providing “draft” versions of their analyses to Centcom, and Centcom was editing the conclusions wholesale to make the war sound like it was going better, then passing along the edited versions to policymakers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This kind of behaviour, on the part of Centcom, is like touching up an x-ray to assure a patient they don't have cancer.

Of course, at the heart of this deception is the reality the ISIS is a US-made monster, and the "raison d'etre" for continued incursions into the Middle East, for their resources, and to insure those resources are only purchasable with US Dollars.

Pakistan Cancels Talks With India, Citing Restrictions

Pakistan announced Saturday that it was pulling out of talks with India scheduled to begin Sunday in New Delhi, saying the conditions set by India for the meeting were not acceptable.

The decision came as the two countries traded barbs over Pakistan’s plans to meet with Kashmiri separatist leaders while in India.

The disagreement weighed heavily on both sides as each positioned itself to blame the other for the failure to hold the talks, which were to be held on Sunday and Monday. India had also stressed that it wanted terrorism to be the only item on the agenda while Pakistan wanted to discuss the dispute over the Kashmir region, which is claimed by both sides.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Both India and Pakistan are losing an historic opportunity to do the right thing for Kashmir.

The right thing to do would be to schedule a referendum for Kashmir, with the question asked: do Kashmiris want independence, alignment with India, or alignment with Pakistan?!?

Then, let the people of Kashmir decide
. Peaceful self-determination will give this violence-afflicted area a time to heal, and move forward.

Saudi Arabia Beheads Nearly Twice As Many People As ISIS So Far This Year

In January, a Muslim woman from Myanmar screamed “I did not kill” and pled with her attackers for mercy, but they showed none. In the center of an intersection, she was publicly beheaded in front of spectators, her death caught covertly on video.

It’s the kind of horrifying tableau that has become almost commonplace in Western media, as it plays out each time ISIS claims its latest victims. But this woman, Laila Bint Abdul Muttalib Basim, wasn’t a victim of ISIS, but one of 110 prisoners executed by Saudi Arabia so far this year. In fact, this U.S. ally has beheaded almost twice as many prisoners as ISIS in 2015 and may be on pace to achieve a record-breaking number of executions.

Iran’s PressTV reported on Basim’s death along with several others, both foreigners and Saudi nationals, in July:

“Basim then screamed as a sword-wielding man struck her neck. Second and third blows completed the beheading and authorities swiftly removed her body from the road.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

When human rights gets in the way of "doing business", the US government has a very ugly, and consistent, habit of turning a blind eye, as they have with Saudi Arabia.

I would like to politely remind this Administration that to some degree, one is judged... by the company one keeps.

New Defense Department Manual Allows Journalists To Be Held As 'Unprivileged Belligerents'

New Defense Department guidelines allow commanders to punish journalists and treat them as "unprivileged belligerents" if they believe journalists are sympathizing or cooperating with the enemy.

The Law of War manual, updated to apply for the first time to all branches of the military, contains a vaguely worded provision that military commanders could interpret broadly, experts in military law and journalism say. Commanders could ask journalists to leave military bases or detain journalists for any number of perceived offenses.

"In general, journalists are civilians," the 1,180 page manual says, but it adds that "journalists may be members of the armed forces, persons authorized to accompany the armed forces, or unprivileged belligerents."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is so anti-First Amendment, and such a sickeningly "slippery slope" when it comes to persecuting reporters for perhaps telling the truth, rather than providing a cover for recruiting "militants", I hardly know where to begin, and I hope that it gets challenged, and immediately, all the bloody way up to the Supreme Court.

And to anyone in the DOD who might not know; I am a Methodist and Christian pacifist. That means that I never, EVER advocate violence; I advocate logic and and thoughtful response to resolving a problem.

So then, if I calmly point out a moment in the thinking of this government that is illogical, and both ham-fistedly and pig-headedly wrong, in terms of this government actually doing right by the people it allegedly represents, does that make me a "terrorist"?!?

Apparently, according to the DOD, the answer is yes.

Welcome to 21st century Amerika, my friends, where logic and truth ....have become criminalized.

At 66, I do not recognise the United States of America anymore, and that is a very painful realization for someone who very much cares about her country.

FLASHBACK - THE LIE OF THE (LAST) CENTURY

It is inescapable historical reality that leaders of nations will lie to their people to trick them into wars they otherwise would have refused. It is not "conspiracy theory" to suggest that leaders of nations lie to trick their people into wars. It is undeniable fact.

Did the government of the United States lie to the American people, more to the point, did President Bush and his Neocon associates lie to Congress, to initiate a war of conquest in Iraq?

This question has been given currency by a memo leaked from inside the British Government which clearly indicates a decision to go to war followed by the "fixing" of information around that policy. This is, as they say, a smoking gun.

But the fact is that long before this memo surfaced, it had become obvious that the US Government, aided by that of Great Britain, was lying to create the public support for a war in Iraq.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is time to repost this article, in part because the Chilcot Inquiry is making it clear that Tony "The Phony" Blair and George Bush need to be tried as war criminals, and also because many of the same lies used to trick us into war on Iraq are being repeated to trick us into war on Iran.

Blair’s 'Illegal' War on Iraq: the Net Widens

The decision to join the US in the invasion of Iraq in 2003 proved controversial, with a complete failure to get international agreement for a UN Security Council Resolution clearly backing the invasion. The UK Prime Minister at the time, Tony Blair, came in for criticism for his close relationship with the – then – US President George W. Bush and there has been pressure ever since to uncover what the two men agreed to do and when.

China's Turbulent Stock Market Slips Once Again

China's turbulent stock markets slipped again on Wednesday, as a double-barrelled blast of central bank stimulus failed to convince investors of Beijing's ability to jolt the world's second biggest economy out of its slowdown.

After watching share prices tumble around 25 percent in a little more than a week, the People's Bank of China re-entered the fray late on Tuesday, cutting interest rates and further loosening bank lending restrictions.

The response from China's two main stock indexes - never reliable barometers of the domestic economy - was typically erratic, lurching between gains and losses of more than 3 percent before ending the day modestly lower.

European markets had risen sharply immediately after the People's Bank of China's move on Tuesday, but U.S. indexes turned negative after an initial leap, setting the tone for a lackluster session in Asia on Wednesday

All out Warfare on Political Correctness

The bastion of Totalitarian Collectivism is based upon a culture of political correctness. Before authoritarians impose their rigid formulas for shaping and defining a false reality, the ground needs to be prepared for molding public opinion. The details and narrative of mind control works best when people have already adopted an urbanity of collective singularity. The nature of “TC” is the next level beyond political correctness.

Peer pressure may be expected during school adolescence but part of growing up requires a level of maturity to distinguish between facts, moral conduct and social values arrived at through sound and rigorous intellectual scrutiny. The primary source of mental malady comes out of media. As the media covers their daily inventions from papier-mâché substance from toilet paper sagas the public sinks deeper into the fog of war. The conflict that pervades the minds of the remaining rational thinkers becomes a struggle for survival.
