Secret 1969 White House Memo on 'Dangers' of Israel Nuclear Weapons

In this secret internal memo of July 19, 1969, National Security Advisor Henry Kissinger explains to President Richard Nixon the "dangers" of Israel's nuclear weapons program. Kissinger notes that Israel had broken its pledge to the US not to "introduce" nuclear weapons in the region. He also notes that if the US tries to force Israel to live up to its commitment by withholding delivery of US warplanes, "enormous political pressure will be mounted on us." This memo, declassified in 2007 after being "sanitized," lays out US policy regarding the Zionist state's nuclear arsenal: "While we might ideally like to halt actual Israeli possession, what we really want at a minimum may be just to keep Israeli possession from becoming an established international fact."

How To Smuggle US Nuclear Triggers to Israel

On May 3, 2017, the Department of Homeland Security released the most detailed files to date on the 1979-1983 Richard Kelly Smyth/ Arnon Milchan/ Benjamin Netanyahu krytron smuggling ring ... A lightly-enough-redacted synopsis of the affair with biographical details makes it clear the Department of Justice knew Arnon Milchan was implicated. "At some time in 1979 [Arnon Milchan] and [Richard Smyth] entered into a conspiracy to illegally export certain U.S. Munitions List items, specifically, krytrons from the United States to the Republic of Israel without the required authorization of the United States Department of State." In August 19, 1985, diplomatic correspondence with US Customs, the Israeli Ministry of Defense confirmed that it was the end user of the krytrons ...

US Jewish scientist gave Israel spy tech before Six Day War – report

A year before the 1967 Six Day War, a Jewish-American scientist reportedly gave Israel groundbreaking technology that facilitated eavesdropping on secret communications between the surrounding Arab nations, ultimately leading to a decisive victory. Just before he died last July, nuclear scientist Zalman Shapiro told a reporter from Pittsburgh's Tribune-Review that he gave Israel advanced batteries that could be used for long-distance surveillance ... Shapiro told the Tribune-Review that he had supplied Israel with batteries for other top-secret projects, but would not provide details, saying the information was still classified ... Shapiro's admission that he gave Eitan nuclear batteries revives a decades-old rumor that Shapiro gave Israel the uraniuum it used to start its secret nuclear program.

A Curious National Home

... In general parlance, the Jewish People consists of all the Jews in the world, more than half of whom live outside Israel and are citizens of other states. They are not asked if they want the State of Israel to represent them. Goes without asking ... Jewish religious law says that "a Jew, even if he commits a sin, is still a Jew." Adopting the Christian - or any other - faith is certainly a sin, but the convert still remains a Jew, whether he wants it or not. The Nation-State of the Jewish People belongs to all of them. Or, rather, they all belong to the Nation State of the Jewish People ... The fact is that every Jewish child in Israel carries the Bible deep in their consciousness. Meaning: Jews are special. Jews are unique. It's "them" and "us". The whole world against us.

Russia to target planes from US-led coalition flying over parts of Syria

Russia has said it will target any plane from the US-led coalition flying west of the Euphrates river in Syria after the US military shot down a Syrian air force jet on Sunday.

Russia’s defence ministry said the US had given it no warning, and that as a consequence it was also suspending coordination over “deconfliction zones” that were created to prevent incidents involving US and Russian jets engaged in operations in Syria.

According to the Pentagon the Syrian jet in question had dropped bombs near US partner forces involved in the fight to wrest Raqqa from Islamic State (Isis) control. It was the first such US attack on a Syrian air force plane since Syria’s civil war began six years ago.

A Lamp That Generates Light Through Gravity

The Gravitylight Foundation is a charity based in the UK which wants to eliminate the use of kerosene in communities without access to electricity, which is burned to generate light after dark (in these communities, a ridiculously high percentage of a household’s income is spent on kerosene, and therefore it becomes a poverty trap). After two years of hard work and research, they’ve managed to develop a lamp which sheds light with the aid of only gravity.

The CIA has been hacking dozens of Wi-Fi routers and using them as covert listening points for at least a DECADE, leaked documents reveal

Once installed, CherryBlossom turns the device into a 'Flytrap' that sends messages to a CIA-controlled server known as 'CherryTree'.

The Flytrap sends the router's device status and security information, which CherryTree logs to a database.

The CherryTree server then sends the infected device a 'mission' with specific tasks tailored to the target.

A web-based user interface known as 'CherryWeb' is used by CIA operators to check the Flytrap's status and web traffic and to assign the infected device new missions.

Missions assigned to the Flytrap can target specific laptops or phones in the house based on IP and email addresses, chat user names and MAC addresses.

Mission tasks include copying some or all of the user's internet traffic, email exchanges and private chat usernames.

Report estimates cost of disruption to GPS in UK would be £1bn per day

The UK stands to lose £1bn per day in the event of a major disruption to the Global Positioning System (GPS), according to a government report.

Emergency services would also be severely affected and struggle to cope with demand. Longer emergency calls, less efficient dispatch, navigation, and congested roads would mean a total estimated loss of £1.5bn, the report said.

Besides navigation, many industries are reliant on GPS software for swathes of critical applications such as financial trading and precision docking of oil tankers.

It's 2017, and UPnP is helping black-hats run banking malware

Another banking malware variant has been spotted in the wild, and it's using UPnP to pop home routers to expose unsuspecting home users, recruited as part of the botnet.

McAfee Labs says the new campaign uses a variant of the ancient “Pinkslipbot”, and says it uses Universal Plug'n'Play (UPnP) to open ports through home routers, “allowing incoming connections from anyone on the Internet to communicate with the infected machine”.

As with any credential-harvesting botnet, the malware needs to get its booty back to the botmasters without exposing them, and this is where the UPnP exploit comes in.

PetroDollar System In Trouble As Saudi’s Keep Liquidating U.S. Treasuries (Video)

While the US dollar continues to ride high, few Americans are aware just how much the strength of our currency relies upon the petrodollar system. Because the world runs on oil, and Saudi oil is denominated and traded in US dollars, the American dollar has retained its strength for decades. But the petrodollar system, and the strength of the American dollar, may be in jeopardy.

In the following video, Right Wing News looks at how Saudi Arabia’s foreign exchange reserves have continued falling ever since the oil price drop. Even with the recent recovery in oil prices, their reserves have continued to drop, and they have been liquidating their US Treasury holdings at a record pace. To make things even worse, something smells fishy about Saudi’s ‘official’ oil reserves figures. And as oil continues to trend lower, it may take Saudi Arabia and the dollar down with it.

Grenfell Tower refurbishers OVER INSULATED building to avoid repeat job

A report submitted during the planning process shows the developers, hired by the Royal Borough Council of Kensington and Chelsea, insulated the 120 flats block to higher levels than were necessary.

A sustainability and energy statement submitted by engineering consultant Max Fordham in 2012 as part of the planning application process revealed the existing concrete cladding was well below thermal insulation levels now required by building regulations.

A primary aim of the £8.6million refurbishment was to stem heat loss in winter, and summer overheating problems, through the external insulation, new heating and windows.

However, the document went on to say that those behind the project chose to "far exceed" the insulation levels required today, to avoid having to do it again in future years.

Richest Americans Will Control 70% Of Country's Wealth By 2021, BCG Says

Being rich is great. But being rich in America? That’s even better.

With US stock benchmarks trading just below record highs, and Treasury yields not too far from the all-time lows reached last summer, the gulf between the world’s wealthy elite – those 18 million households worldwide with more than $1 million in assets – and everybody else is rapidly widening.

According to a new study by Boston Consulting Group via Bloomberg, these households - with a total head count of roughly 70 million people, or about 1% of the world’s population - control 45 percent of the $166.5 trillion in wealth. By 2021, they will control more than half, suggesting that, while wealth inequality in the rest of the world is simply accelerating, in America, it’s gone into overdrive. Right now, 63 percent of America’s private wealth in the hands of U.S. millionaires and billionaires, BCG said. By 2021, their share of the nation’s wealth will rise to an estimated 70 percent.

Connecticut’s NBC affiliate is not going to air Megyn Kelly’s report on conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, the radio host who has alleged the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was a hoax, because “the wounds are understandably still so raw” in the state.

In an internal memo obtained Friday by The Associated Press, NBC Connecticut staff members were told that station executives made the decision after listening to concerns from Sandy Hook families, viewers and the station’s employees.

The memo says the executives “considered the deep emotions from the wounds of that day that have yet to heal.”

Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry says tensions rise in Nagorno-Karabakh

Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry reported on rising tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh on Saturday.

Azerbaijan president calls for soonest resumption of Karabakh talks
"The adversary is continuing to shell from high-caliber weapons and artillery guns the positions of Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces and settlements located in the immediate battle area," the defense ministry said in the statement.
"On June 15, in an attempt to bring up short another provocation of Armenian armed units Azerbaijan’s army suffered casualties," the ministry said, noting that in retaliatory fire "on June 15 and 16, six soldiers of Armenian Armed Forces were eliminated," some were wounded.

On Friday, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry reported its soldier’s death.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This situation is on the brink again of creating an horrendous, regional war.

To all parties involved: there needs to be a political resolution to this standoff, and I sincerely hope that Sergei Lavrov can do some shuttle diplomacy between Baku and Yerevan, to get tensions reduced here.

Revealed: the tower block fire warnings that ministers ignored

The extent to which government ministers failed to act on expert warnings about inadequate fire safety rules before the Grenfell Tower disaster in London can be revealed by the Observer.

As public outrage mounted and political pressure grew on Theresa May over the tragedy, former chief fire officer Ronnie King – who is secretary of the all-party parliamentary group on fire safety – said urgent requests for meetings with ministers and action to tighten rules were stonewalled.

King also revealed that ministers had failed to insist that life-saving sprinkler systems were mandatory in the design of new schools in England, despite clear recommendations in reports commissioned by the government itself, which advocated their use.

Poland plans Trump-era defense spending splurge, critics say 'unrealistic'

Poland's new plans to nearly double defense spending and add a further 100,000 personnel to its armed forces seem, on paper, to be just what NATO allies need to counter U.S. President Donald Trump's charge that Europe does not pay enough for its security.

Partly a response to Moscow's actions in Poland's eastern neighbor Ukraine, the "Concept of Defense of the Republic of Poland" aims to enable Warsaw to resist any possible Russian aggression without having to rely so much on help from the thousands of U.S. and other NATO troops already based in Poland.

It would be “great” if the UK backed away from its decision to leave the European Union and instead chose to stay within the bloc, German Economy Minister Brigitte Zypries told Reuters, adding, however, that she regards such a possibility as “unlikely.”

IN RHODE ISLAND, STUDENTS AND PARENTS MUST LET SCHOOLS SPY ON THEM DAY AND NIGHT THROUGH THEIR LAPTOPS

A majority of the Rhode Island school districts with "1-1" programs where each student is issued a laptop have a blanket policy of spying on the students and everything they do on their laptops, during, before and after school hours, on or off school premises, without any evidence (or even suspicion ) of wrongdoing.

The schools analogize this to school locker searches, in which students are denied any Fourth Amendment protections. But that (very dubious) principle is being stretched beyond the breaking point, as school lockers are in schools, whereas these laptop searches are being carried out remotely, everywhere, anywhere.

This isn't so different from the policies asserted by employers who require workers to take devices home, then assert the right to spy on them using those devices, installing their own certificates so they can stage "man-in-the-middle" interceptions of private sessions between employees and their email providers, financial institutions, etc.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How "1984" of Rhode Island!!

Were I a parent with a kid in school where these devices are mandatory, I would immediately pull that kid out of that school, and put them in a private school where such policy does not exist.

Failing that, because of the cost, I would "vote with my feet", and move to another state where this policy is not pursued.

‘LONG-HAUL’ AFGHAN WAR TO TURN INTO ‘GENERATIONAL STRUGGLE’ INVOLVING US TROOPS – PETRAEUS

Americans may stay on Afghan soil for a “long-haul” mission that could evolve into several decades of “generational struggle,” General David Petraeus, ex-commander of US troops in Afghanistan, admitted.
The current war in Afghanistan is unlikely to end in the foreseeable future, David Petraeus, who led the US military campaign there back in the 2000s, told PBS News Hour.

Though the retired General argued that “we went there for a reason and we stayed for a reason,” to defeat Al-Qaeda following the 9/11 attacks, he hinted that “a generational struggle” may unfold in the war-ravaged country.

“This is not something that is going to be won in a few years. We’re not going to take a hill, plant a flag, go home to a victory parade,” he said. “And we need to be there for the long haul, but in a way, that is, again, sustainable,” he added.

To back his remarkable statement, he cited other examples of US deployments in other parts of the world that have lasted decades.

Webmaster's Commentary:

General Petraeus, a word, please.

To compare the US military presence in South Korea with its presence in Afghanistan is disingenuous at best, and an outright lie at worst, because there is absolutely no way to compare the US government's military presence in both countries

Let us be very clear about the reasons the US military is still in Afghanistan.

The Afghanistan war was planned before 9/11 (see this and this). According to French intelligence officers, the U.S. wanted to run an oil pipeline through Afghanistan to transport Central Asian oil more easily and cheaply. And so the U.S. told the Taliban shortly before 9/11 that they would either get “a carpet of gold or a carpet of bombs”, the former if they greenlighted the pipeline, the second if they didn’t. See this, this and this.

The US military is in Afghanistan for the oil pipelines; its mineral wealth; and the opium poppy trade, which has soared under US/NATO occupation. As reported on 2 May, 2017:

Afghanistan Sets New Record In Opium Production

What the US and NATO should be doing, at this point in this 16 year war which cannot, by any military metric, be considered a "victory", is to evacuate all their soldiers as quickly as safely possible, then negotiate with whatever government is left standing in Kabul for all of the above.

Of course that, General Petraeus... would be logical.

Stop The INSANITY!!!! Please Dear God Stop the Insanity! (Video)

In their bid to oust and discredit our democratically elected President, the Democrats and the left have created an environment that can only be described as absolute insanity. And now sources are reporting that DOJ number 2 Rod Rosentein, the one who penned the memo recommending Comey’s firing, may potentially have to recuse himself from the Trump investigation.
