'Woman' of the Year: GQ slammed for quote marks on Serena Williams cover

GQ magazine has prompted widespread bemusement for a cover featuring Serena Williams as its “Woman” of the Year – with many questioning the use of quotation marks in the title describing the US tennis star.

The men’s magazine revealed covers featuring several of its Men of the Year on Monday – including actors Michael B. Jordan, Henry Golding and Jonah Hill. But it was the cover introducing Williams as its pick for the female version of the accolade which caused the biggest commotion.

The image next to the tennis star – who was clad in a revealing black outfit set off with a chunky Chanel belt – was accompanied by a title with the word ‘Men’ crossed out and replaced by “Woman,” denoting the gender in quotation marks.

REPORT: CNN AND JIM ACOSTA FILE LAWSUIT AGAINST TRUMP ADMINISTRATION

CNN and Jim Acosta are allegedly suing the Trump administration for removing the press credentials of the controversial reporter following a tense incident Wednesday during a news conference at the White House.

According to ABC’s former White House correspondent Sam Donaldson, Acosta and his employer filed a lawsuit and are expecting a court hearing in the upcoming week.

The news came during an episode of CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” when Donaldson told host Brian Stelter that he had been asked by the network to give an affidavit in support of Acosta.

Yet a CNN spokesperson would not say that it was going ahead with any legal action against the Trump administration, telling The Hill that “no decisions have been made.”

CNN tackles Trump, yet sidesteps Israeli violence

The military analyst industrial complex – not known for reining in the military ambitions of US presidents – has struck back at Donald Trump’s call to shoot immigrants at the US border if they throw rocks.

“They want to throw rocks at our military, our military fights back,” the first-term president has declared. “I told them to consider it a rifle. When they throw rocks like what they did to the Mexican military and police I say consider it a rifle.”

Former Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel responded on CNN: “My reaction in listening to that, coming from the commander in chief of our forces, president of the United States, is one of disgust. That’s a wanton incitement of unnecessary violence. It’s a distraction. It’s a distortion.”

Burying The Other Russia Story: WSJ Editors Expose The House Democrats' Real Plan

Arguably the most important power at stake in Tuesday’s election was Congressional oversight, and the most important change may be Adam Schiff at the House Intelligence Committee. The Democrat says his top priority is re-opening the Trump-Russia collusion probe, but more important may be his intention to stop investigating how the FBI and Justice Department abused their power in 2016. So let’s walk through what we’ve learned to date.

Credit for knowing anything at all goes to Intel Chairman Devin Nunes and more recently a joint investigation by Reps. Bob Goodlatte (Judiciary) and Trey Gowdy (Oversight). Over 18 months of reviewing tens of thousands of documents and interviewing every relevant witness, no Senate or House Committee has unearthed evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to win the presidential election. If Special Counsel Robert Mueller has found more, he hasn’t made it public.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How low can the Democrats go, in pursuing a vendetta-dipped agenda, still stuck in their anger from losing the 2016 election ?!?

All the way to pure, hellish, unmitigated evil, it appears.

Here’s All the Times Obama Ejected the Media

President Donald Trump’s explosive exchange with Jim Acosta, and the subsequent revocation of his White House press credentials, is now the big story. Naturally, CNN and every other liberal rushed to his defense, and claimed Trump’s hostility towards the media is unprecedented. Ironically, these same liberals loved it when Obama showed disrespect to journalists they disagreed with – they’re just unhappy now they’re feeling the same fire.

Obama ejecting journalists all the time

There were numerous occasions in which Obama (and others in his administration) actually ejected journalists from his press conferences – and of course you didn’t hear hysterical screeching about “dictators” and “fascism” and “the free press being under attack.”

The Five Features of the Left’s Fact-Free Universe

Answer: because this is the way millions of leftists think. -- They live in a universe in which the GOP is about to abolish the welfare state, the Ku Klux Klan (which has somewhere between 3000 and 6000 members nationwide) is an influential institution, the United States has a “rape culture,” white nationalists can be found in many prominent positions, and “literal Nazis” are in the White House. -- When asked for evidence to support bizarre, tone-deaf, I’m-living-on-another-planet claims like these, the so-called evidence always winds up like that article — either showing nothing of the kind, or indeed proving the exact opposite. -- The fact-free universe they live in, which stokes their emotional hypochondria, motivates the mobs threatening people like Carlson.

Iceland’s Christmas ad banned for being ‘too political’

Discount supermarket chain Iceland is facing off with UK ads regulator Clearcast over a Christmas ad campaign which has been banned from TV for being too political.

The animated short, originally destined to be an ad for environmental advocacy group Greenpeace, features a young girl and an orangutan that has been displaced from its rainforest home by loggers, ostensibly working on behalf of the palm oil industry.

However the now-banned advert, which was voiced by actor Emma Thompson, was deemed to be in breach of political impartiality rules set out in the 2003 Communications Act which prohibits advertisements that are “directed towards a political end.”

Presstitutes Abandon Journalism For Political Activism

When President Trump nominated Jeff Sessions as his Attorney General, the presstitutes were opposed to Sessions and declared him unfit for office. Now that he has been fired, the presstitutes are his champions.

There are reports that MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow has organized a protest march for today denouncing Trump for firing Sessions.

CNN’s Jake Tapper added his view of the firing as “that’s how gangsters act” and got John Dean from the Watergate era to delare that Sessions’ firing was “planned like a murder.”

Trump Bans Acosta: Remembering Obama "Pressed" Out Helen Thomas

The mainstream media is making a big fuss out of “journalist” Jim Acosta’s loss of his White House press credential, after he appeared aggressive with a white house staff member. The media is collectively claiming a version of the incident going around social media is “doctored”, making Acosta’s behavior seem more extreme. Acosta is CNN's Chief White House Correspondent who’s press pass has been suspended "until further notice" just hours after he engaged in a contentious back-and-forth with President Trump.

Facebook CEO Zuckerberg Rejects Requests to Attend Int'l Fake News 'Consortium'

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has refused requests from five countries demanding that he testify about the rising ‘threat' of fake news on his social media platform.

Zuckerberg rejected requests to attend an "international grand committee" meeting on November 27 headed by the United Kingdom, with Argentina, Australia, Canada and Ireland also participating.

It was "not possible" for Zuckerberg to appear before all of them, a letter to British and Canadian officials said.

The committee is charged with probing the effects of disinformation on free elections in the wake of the US 2016 primary and 2018 midterm elections. Zuckerberg testified before the US Congress and EU Parliament, with clashes occurring between the Facebook CEO and Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

"We were very disappointed with this dismissive response," the Committee replied. "Five parliaments are now calling on you to do the right thing by the 170 million users in the countries they represent."

NPR POSITS NAZIS ARE RECRUITING ALL OF OUR CHILDREN IN ONLINE GAMES WITH VERY LITTLE EVIDENCE

At this point, journalistic handwringing over the assumed dangers of video games has moved beyond annoyance levels and into the trope category. Violence, aggression, becoming sedentary, and the erosion of social skills have all been claimed to be outcomes of video games becoming a dominant choice for entertainment among the population that isn't collecting social security checks, and all typically with little to no evidence backing it up. This has become so routine that one can almost copy and paste past responses into future arguments.

But NPR really went full moral panic mode with a post that essentially claimed the recruitment of children into rightwing and Nazi extremist groups is a full on thing, while an actual analysis of what it relied on to make that claim reveals, well, very little of substance at all.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am very surprised that anyone actually pays attention to NPR at all; they lost whatever shred of journalistic integrity they ever had decades ago.

Stephen Colbert on Democrats retaking control of the House: 'They can now open investigations into the President'

"Late Show" host Stephen Colbert used his opening monologue Tuesday evening to discuss the midterm elections, including how Democrats reclaimed control of the House of Representatives after eight years out of power.

"That’s the first news of the evening…they can now open investigations into the President and we can finally find out if Donald Trump has ever done anything unethical,” Colbert, 54, stated according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Per the outlet, the late-night host also brought up how Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, won a second term on Tuesday defeating Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke.

"By not being Ted Cruz, Beto is still a winner," Colbert said.

Big Guns: Hollywood Gala Raises Record $60 Million for Pro-IDF Group

The annual Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) raised a record amount for itself and the Israeli military on Thursday, less than a week after 11 Jews were massacred in a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, synagogue.

The 2018 gala raised nearly doubled what it had three years prior, which was about $32 million, Sputnik News reported at the time. In 2017, FIDF raised just $35 million.

Israeli megadonors Shelden Adelson and Haim Saban and their spouses topped the list of donors, with each pair doling out $10 million.

American pop star Pharrell Williams headlined the event, which was held in Beverly Hills, and drew in the likes of Bob Marley's son, singer Ziggy Marley, actors Ashton Kutcher, Gerard Butler, Andy Garcia and stars from the controversial Netflix-produced Israel-Palestine war thriller, "Fauda."

Crimes against property may be thought morally inappropriate means to some end by misguided individuals. Murder is unforgivable.

OUTRAGE: Youtube Blocks Trump Rally LiveStreams For Ridiculous Reason

Right Side Broadcasting, which live-streams President Donald Trump’s rallies around the country, is experiencing outrageous censorship at the hands of Youtube, which is owned by Google. (READ: FEC Complaint FILED Against Google, Facebook, and Twitter For Election Interference).

Don’t forget the national security and Constitutional implications of censoring the President of the United States’ own rallies. Youtube, it seems, is simply grasping for reasons to deter Right Side Broadcasting (RSB) from their duties out on the campaign trail.

An RSB announcer, speaking as Trump was arriving on Air Force One in Macon, Georgia, revealed to viewers that Youtube de-monetized RSB videos and officially deemed the channel to be not “family friendly.” That’s called Censorship Trolling.

Then a different announcer revealed that Youtube actually physically removed its stream of President Trump’s October 22 rally in Houston with Senator Ted Cruz.

Trump fires back after networks yank ‘racist’ anti-immigration ad

President Trump on Monday defended an anti-immigrant ad that critics called racist after several television networks said they would not run it, calling it “effective” and telling reporters their questions were “offensive.”

“They certainly are effective,” Trump told reporters as he was about to board Air Force One en route to another MAGA rally.

Asked about charges that the ad — which several networks have either refused to air or decided to stop running — was offensive, the president went on the offensive himself.

“A lot of things are offensive. Your questions are offensive a lot of the time,” he said.

‘NY Times’ explains why the U.S. is ‘standing by’ the Saudi crown prince — but somehow leaves out the Israel connection

Here’s an astonishing failure by two otherwise excellent New York Times reporters: they wrote a long, valuable analysis about why the U.S. is “standing by” the murderous crown prince of Saudi Arabia — but they only mentioned Israel’s support for him twice.

In a front-page story in today’s paper, David D. Kirkpatrick and Ben Hubbard explain why the kingdom’s de facto leader, 33-year-old Mohammed bin Salman, is in no immediate danger of losing power despite (almost certainly) ordering the murder a month ago of the dissident journalist, Jamal Khashoggi. They report that the U.S. government is continuing to support the crown prince, and that “Major figures in [American] finance signaled that they, too, intended to look past the killing.”

Homophobic slurs, threats of violence against women and ANOTHER assault: Alec Baldwin gets free pass from ABC and NBC after latest arrest, unlike Roseanne Barr and Megyn Kelly

Alec Baldwin has found himself in trouble with the law after he allegedly hit a man in the jaw on Friday during a curbside brawl - but not his employer.

ABC will air The Alec Baldwin Show on Sunday night as planned and declined to even offer up comment on Baldwin's latest arrest, for which he was booked on charges of assault and harassment.

It is a far cry from the network's decision back in May to fire Roseanne Barr for posting a racist tweet about Valerie Jarrett just hours after the offense, thereby dismantling an entire cast and crew of workers.

Over at NBC there was also no comment from Saturday Night Live, who treated the incident as a throwaway punchline at the end of the cold open.

Eight days prior, on the same network, Megyn Kelly was ousted from her spot on Today following her defense of blackface.

Johnstone: What Empire Loyalists Are Really Saying When They Bash Julian Assange

Wired has just published what might be the single most brazenly dishonest and manipulative piece of down-punching empire smut that I have ever read. An article by Virginia Heffernan titled “The Real Houseguest of the Ecuadorian Embassy” revolves around the outright lie that Julian Assange is suing the Ecuadorian government because he doesn’t feel like cleaning up after his cat and maintaining basic hygiene in the embassy he’s been confined to since 2012. In reality, the legal case arose from the fact that despite being granted political asylum for his journalism, Assange has for months been cut off from the world and forbidden to practice journalism by the new government of Ecuador, and would remain unable to practice journalism under the new conditions Quito recently imposed upon him.

Wounded SEAL Dan Crenshaw Calls On SNL Donate $1 Million To Veteran's Charity After Mocking Him

Texas GOP congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw called on Saturday Night Live and Pete Davidson to donate $1 million to charity following a widely-panned joke about Crenshaw's war injuries.

During Saturday night's episode of SNL, Davidson - who most recently made news for his failed relationship with pop star Ariana Grande, joked "You may be surprised to hear he’s a congressional candidate for Texas and not a hit man in a porno movie," adding dismissively "Sorry, I know he lost his eye in war or whatever."

In response to Davidson's off-color jokes, Crenshaw told CNN "I do not demand an apology. He probably should apologize, but I don’t want some hollow apology," adding "I think what him and maybe the producers at SNL should do is pool their money together — let’s throw a figure out there, a million dollars — and let’s donate that to a series of veteran’s nonprofits."

Fox News’ Shepard Smith Attacks President Trump Over Caravan Rhetoric

Fox News anchor Shepard Smith mocked President Trump and those concerned about the migrant caravan headed for the U.S. border, claiming it poses no threat to our nation.

Smith downplayed the threat of having thousands of unvetted illegals cross into the border, despite knowledge of high-profile cases such as Kate Steinle, despite knowledge of potential infiltration by individuals from the Middle East or MS-13 animals, despite profiles of migrants accused of serious crimes.

Instead, Smith left his head firmly entrenched in his backside, choosing to remain blissfully unaware of the dangers posed by allowing an invasion of illegals to overrun the southern border.

“We’re America. We can handle it,” Smith said on Monday adding, “But tomorrow is one week before the midterm election, which is what all of this is about.”

THE DANGER IN MEDIA TELLING ONLY HALF THE STORY ON POLITICAL VIOLENCE

When mass media displays such a clear bias, then the people who are on the losing end of that bias are not going to be happy...

n the last few months, we've seen numerous acts of politically motivated or targeted violence. Some of these cases have been plastered all over the news for days or weeks. Some others have been met with deafening silence. And which is which hasn't exactly been random.

There is clear bias in the reporting of political violence and I believe this has had some serious consequences for people's ability to trust the media and bridge a divided culture.

To understand why, we need to look at what's actually happened recently, so while what follows is far from a complete list of all the politically-motivated violence, it encompasses many of the most recent and highest-profile examples:

Webmaster's Commentary:

Please remember, that when corporate presstitutes report on anything, it is to further their agenda; that is why it is so critically important that people who care about the truth being told, support independent media, like WRH.
