Police Chief Fired In Victory For The Frisco 500

It’s less than a month since the ‘Frisco Five’ began their hunger strike, with a single demand: that Police Chief Greg Suhr resign or be fired. This chief, who for five years has been crying ‘crocodile tears’ while justifying every police killing of a Black or Latino person. This chief, who for five years has been vigilantly protected by the mayor, the media and the city’s Democratic political establishment.

This afternoon the mayor fired him.

In a reversal of the smidgen of accountability forced on Bank of America for its role in the 2008 financial crisis, a U.S. appeals court threw out a jury’s verdict — and with it, the $1.27 billion fine BoA would have paid for mortgage fraud. Though the Department of Justice had alleged Countrywide Financial Corp., which was purchased by Bank of America in 2008, had sold Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac thousands of bad loans through its “Hustle” mortgage program, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York found insufficient evidence to back charges of fraud.

Hillary Clinton to California: “Drop Dead”

By now, anyone paying the least attention knows that the dishonest Democratic establishment and dishonest mainstream media have created a false narrative of bad behavior by Bernie Sanders supporters at the Nevada State Democratic State Convention on May 14. The evidence-free claims about “thrown chairs” (none) and “death threats” (tasteless insults) have been widely rebutted, but they have served their purpose all the same: taking attention away from the arrogant, autocratic management of the Nevada convention by establishment Democrats working on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

It’s a measure of Democratic Party panic that party leaders feel the need to run a despotic convention, autocratically ramming their preferred results through when there were only two national delegates at stake.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is a very real possibility that Judicial Watch may come up with enough bombshell information, created through a public lawsuit or indictment, which could damage Clinton enough, before the elections, that she would have to resign from the campaign.

That is why Sanders is smart to stay the course; because IF Clinton has to retire before the convention. at that point, Biden may make a grab for the nomination, bringing Sanders in as a Vice-Presidential candidate.

But I would very much suspect one thing from the Obama White House; if their internal polling suggests, even mildly, that Trump might win, the Obama Administration is going to put this country into one, or several horrific wars before Trump is sworn into office, to insure that his first hundred days, and beyond, if possible, will be absolute hell.

Religious Extremists Waging a Quiet Revolution in Israel

In a surprise move, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu last week forced out his long-serving defense minister, Moshe Yaalon. As he stepped down, Mr Yaalon warned: “Extremist and dangerous elements have taken over Israel.”

He was referring partly to his expected successor: Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the far-right Yisrael Beiteinu party, whose trademark outbursts have included demands to bomb Egypt and behead disloyal Palestinian citizens.

But Mr Yaalon was also condemning extremism closer to home, in Mr Netanyahu’s Likud Party. Mr Yaalon is to take a break from politics. With fitting irony, his slot is to be filled on Likud’s backbenches by Yehuda Glick, a settler whose goal to destroy Jerusalem’s Al Aqsa mosque and replace it with a Jewish temple has the potential to set the Middle East on fire.

Israeli commentators pointed out that, with Mr Lieberman’s inclusion, the government will be the most extreme in Israel’s history – again.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This move to the right in Israeli politics should concern anyone who believes that a reasonable peace, negotiated in good faith, between the Palestinians and Israelis, is the only way to avoid more brutal conflict in the region.

The possibilities for peace and social justice for Palestinians are not looking terribly bright right now.

Forbidden Alliance: US Won't Let Russia, Turkey, Iran Unite Against Daesh

Washington is trying to deter any possible alliance between Russia, Turkey and Iran on Syria: if the three countries unite their efforts against the terrorists, the jihadists will easily be defeated and the US will thereby lose its ability to destabilize the region, Iranian political analyst and former journalist Hassan Hanizadeh told Sputnik.

The US is thwarting any possible alliance between Russia, Turkey and Iran to fight the terrorist groups in Syria, Hassan Hanizadeh, former editor-in-chief of the Iranian news agency MehrNews told Sputnik.

Meanwhile, Washington is using the terrorist groups operating on the ground in Syria as a tool to divide the countries of the region. Thus, the political editor added, the US is interested in keeping relations between Turkey and Russia strained and in stirring tensions between Iran and Turkey.

Washington, he explained, is interested in extending its sphere of influence in the Middle East.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And as the rotted corpses keep piling up in Syria, courtesy of US-government trained and funded jihadists, the US government doesn't give a rat's derriere about the carnage, as long as it believes it is on a path to oust Al-Assad.

Dare I say, in their minds, "the end justifies the means", even of the means results in thousands of innocent civilians, including women, children, and the medically fragile elderly, dead?!?

Sure as heck looks like it, from where I sit.

In the 21st century, the US government has become the most horrific "judge, jury, and executioner" toward the rest of the world humanly possible.

What's wrong with this picture?!?

A Harvard MBA Guy Is Out to Bring Down the Clintons

In a 9-page letter dated yesterday and posted to his blog, Ortel calls the Clintons’ charity the “largest unprosecuted charity fraud ever attempted,” adding for good measure that the Clinton Foundation is part of an “international charity fraud network whose entire cumulative scale (counting inflows and outflows) approaches and may even exceed $100 billion, measured from 1997 forward.” Ortel lists 40 potential areas of fraud or wrongdoing that he plans to expose over the coming days.

Like Markopolos, Ortel has an impressive resume. Ortel’s LinkedIn profile shows that he received his B.A. from Yale and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He previously worked as a Managing Director at investment bank Dillon Read and later as a Managing Director at the financial research firm, Newport Value Partners. In more recent years, Ortel has been a contributor to a number of news outlets including the Washington Times and TheStreet.com.

First ‘Clinton Cash’ Domino to Fall: FBI Investigating Hillary Bagman Terry McAuliffe

Close Clinton operative Terry McAuliffe is under federal investigation for campaign contributions from a Chinese billionaire who has also donated $2 million to the Clinton Foundation.

As part of the probe, the officials said, investigators have scrutinized McAuliffe’s time as a board member of the Clinton Global Initiative, a vehicle of the charitable foundation set up by former President Bill Clinton.

There’s no allegation that the foundation did anything improper; the probe has focused on McAuliffe and the electoral campaign donations, the officials said.

Spokespeople for the Justice Department and the FBI declined to comment.

Among the McAuliffe donations that drew the interest of the investigators was $120,000 from a Chinese businessman, Wang Wenliang, through his U.S. businesses. Wang was previously delegate to China’s National People’s Congress, the country’s ceremonial legislature.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It's funny, the way this article characterises China's National People's Congress as "ceremonial"; because right now, looking at the way members of Congress have been purchased by corporations, the US government's alleged representatives, look pretty darn ceremonial to me!

But getting back to McAuliffe, I seriously doubt that anything real , or any bombshell revelations, will be uncovered.

That being said, however, if it appears to the Clintonistas for one millisecond, as though this may be the case, look for Mc Auliffe to start to get "very very depressed" ; and we know, from the example of the death of Vincent Foster, just precisely where that "depression" can lead.

EgyptAir crash: Body parts retrieved from flight MS804 crash site 'point to an explosion on board aircraft'

A forensics official has said human remains retrieved from the area where EgyptAir Flight 804 crashed point to an explosion on board.

The anonymous official is part of Egypt's investigative team and has examined victim's remains at a morgue in Cairo.

He told the Associated Press that all 80 body parts received so far are small and that “there isn't even a whole body part, like an arm or a head", adding: “The logical explanation is that an explosion brought it down...but I cannot say what caused the blast."

Egypt's al-Watan newspaper quoted another unnamed forensics official saying the plane blew up in mid-air, leaving remains “no larger than the size of a hand”, but that it has yet to be determined whether an explosive device was to blame.

The head of Egypt's forensics authority denied there was evidence of an explosion later on Tuesday.

Syria blames Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia for deadly bombings

The Syrian government has accused Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia of being behind a wave of bombings in the coastal cities of Tartous and Jableh.
The state-run news agency Sana said the attacks constituted a "serious escalation", and were aimed at derailing peace efforts.

State media said at least 78 people were killed, while a monitoring group put the death toll at more than 145.

So-called Islamic State (IS) has said it was behind the attacks.
The cities, on Syria's Mediterranean coast, are part of the heartland of President Bashar al-Assad and have, until now, escaped the worst of the civil war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Take a good, hard look at the carnage here.

Then, understand that behind it all is the United States Government, which is funding and training these insurgents, and attempting, by whatever means necessary, to throw Bashar Al-Assad out of office, and replace him with a compliant, western-centric puppet.

Pentagon-Linked Analysts Push Preemptive Strike on Russia, Missile Defense

The Beltway military punditry floats one of its most inflammatory ideas yet, in calls for a preemptive strike against Moscow along with calls to bolster America’s missile defense system.

On Friday, a DC-based think tank issued a report calling for additional funding to advance US missile defense technology to combat what they view as a rising nuclear missile threat from Russia.

Earlier this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin scoffed at Western assertions that Russia poses the preeminent threat to the US and NATO, labeling the idea of an attack against the military alliance "the type of thing that only crazy people think, and only when they are dreaming."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Have these gentlemen gone utterly barking mad, to be suggesting such things, and have they completely lost their reality licence?!?

Russia has not demonstrated any national government behaviour which could possibly be construed as "aggressive" under Putin's watch; in fact, it has been more than reasonable, given the nature of US and NATO actions against it.

Rather than demonising Russia, the US government and military need to look at where its own weapons systems development and procurement systems are broken, and fix the problems.

And that problem starts with the incestuous relationship between weapons manufacturers and the Congressional representatives who award the contracts for those weapons. Those weapons companies are very "generous", in terms of how they support Congressional representatives who approve those contracts.

How this translates, at the end of the day, is that when US weapons are ultimately deployed in the field, they frequently do not work as advertised; are hideously over budget, and are delivered so late as to become very quickly obsolete.

There are two potential pieces of legislation which could fix the problem, but unfortunately could only possibly get passed when pigs fly.

The first is that US legislators cannot take any money, or any other perks, from any US weapons company, period, end of discussion. Any attempt to get around this result in getting fired from Congress, and a snap election held for a replacement.

The second is, if a weapon does not perform as specified in the field, according to the specifications defined by that company, that the weapons manufacturers will be subject not only to hefty fines, but also jail time for the heads of corporations which made those weapons.

Paul Ryan Slams VA Secretary, But Stops Short Of Calling For Resignation

Speaker Paul Ryan had harsh words for Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Bob McDonald on Tuesday, after the top VA official earlier compared health appointment wait times for veterans to lines at Disney. But most notable were the words Ryan didn’t use: that McDonald should resign.

“I don’t know if he should resign,” Ryan said Tuesday morning when asked if he, like Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.), thought McDonald’s comments rose to that level. “He should clarify his comments, and he should show some empathy for our veterans that he’s supposed to serve. This really is just beyond the pale, a comment like this.”

McDonald made the case on Monday at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast that the VA should be measured less by doctor’s appointment wait times and more by satisfaction. “When you go to Disney, do they measure the number of hours you wait in line?” McDonald asked. “What’s important? What’s important is: what’s your satisfaction with the experience?”

Webmaster's Commentary:

Wait times for our Veterans can, literally, mean the difference between life and death.

That McDonald seems to be blissfully unaware of this reality should be, alone, is a damned good reason for sacking him, and right the heck now.

As most of you who know who have read my posts on this blog, I abhor the concept of war as a way of resolving geopolitical disputes; I encourage the US government to resolve these conflicts through good faith, hard-won, honorable negotiations which relieve tensions, and let commerce flow by creating win/win situations.

But when it comes to our Veterans, I firmly believe that they should have the highest level of medical and psychological care possible available to them, and in a very timely manner; as much as I hate the concept of war, these men and women have earned, and deserve this.

We need to know the algorithms the government uses to make important decisions about us

In criminal justice systems, credit markets, employment arenas, higher education admissions processes and even social media networks, data-driven algorithms now drive decision-making in ways that touch our economic, social and civic lives. These software systems rank, classify, associate or filter information, using human-crafted or data-induced rules that allow for consistent treatment across large populations.

But while there may be efficiency gains from these techniques, they can also harbor biases against disadvantaged groups or reinforce structural discrimination. In terms of criminal justice, for example, is it fair to make judgments on an individual’s parole based on statistical tendencies measured across a wide group of people? Could discrimination arise from applying a statistical model developed for one state’s population to another, demographically different population?

HERE’S THE FULL LIST OF COMPANIES & ORGANIZATIONS THAT PAID HILLARY CLINTON FROM 2013-2015

World’s 16 biggest banks, including RBC, ordered to face Libor lawsuits in ruling court warns could ruin them

Sixteen of the world’s largest banks including JP Morgan Chase & Co. and Citigroup Inc. must face antitrust lawsuits accusing them of hurting investors who bought securities tied to Libor by rigging an interest-rate benchmark, a ruling that an appeals court warned could devastate them.

The appellate judges reversed a lower-court ruling on one issue — whether the investors had adequately claimed in their complaints to have been harmed — while sending the cases back for the judge to consider another issue: whether the plaintiffs are the proper parties to sue, in part because their claims, if successful, provide for triple damages that could overwhelm the banks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It will be interesting to see how far this case is allowed to progress, as the rich rarely eat their own.

"PRE-CRIME" ARRIVES IN CHICAGO - BIG DATA TELLS COPS WHO'S NEXT TO BE SHOT

In Chicago, where homicides are out of control and estimated to top 550 in 2016 (the most since 2012), police are so desperate to correct the problem that they are throwing good old fashioned police work to the wind, and turning to 'Minority Report'-esque algorithms to do the work for them.

Authorities assume that by narrowing down the key players that are most likely to be involved in violence will allow them to stop it. Of course, civil liberties being irrelevant in today's world, the program is in use already. Police superintendent Eddie Johnson says that there is a small segment of people driving the violence, and although homicides are on the rise after three years of the program, the "Strategic Subject List" generated by the fourth revision of the algorithm is the answer to stopping them. Supporters of the program point to statistics such as 117 of the 140 people arrested in a drug and gang raid last week being on the list.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Grinding poverty, coupled with the offshoring/outsourcing of meaningful, well-paying jobs, are two of the biggest culprits in spawning violence in our inner cities, because in American society, if it is done intelligently and brutally enough, crime does pay.

The people living in America's inner cities understand this, because they see politicians at the highest level of American government (literally) get away with murder, when it suits their political agenda, and can do it with absolute impunity.

While the "special interest list" may help a little, it does nothing to actually address the root causes of such violence at all, because the answers here are economic, and they cannot be resolved by more repressive policing, or more algorithms.

Rahm Emanuel's tenure as mayor of this city has been an absolute, epic fail at every level, and the explosion of crime under his watch has been no exception.

Yet I have to wonder, just for speculation, and to "cement" her relationship to Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu at an even deeper level, if Hillary Clinton might be contemplating a Vice Presidential nomination for Mayor Emmanuel at the Democratic Convention, to utterly insure all the political clout of AIPAC is behind her, and her alone.

After all, he was senior adviser for policy and strategy in the Clinton Presidency.

Stranger things have happened in American politics, and right now, given the reality that Trump is pulling ahead of Clinton in the national polls, I would not bet against such a move.

U.S. GOVERNMENT SECRETLY DESTROYED EVIDENCE IN TRIAL OF ACCUSED “9/11 MASTERMINDS”

In another setback for the death penalty trial of the five men accused of aiding the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, two defense lawyers for Khalid Shaikh Mohammed say the U.S. government secretly destroyed relevant evidence.

On May 11, defense lawyers for the accused mastermind of the 9/11 terror attacks asked for judge Col. James Pohl and the prosecution team to be recused from the trial, and for the case to be shut down. Defense lawyers David Nevin and Maj. Derek Poteet say that the U.S. government destroyed evidence related to the case, according to the New York Times. The two men are unable to provide further details because the issue is classified, but Mr. Nevin said the evidence was “favorable” to the defendants.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It is very clear to me that the evidence which was destroyed may well have exonerated Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and that was precisely why it was destroyed by the US government.

TSA head of security 'removed from his position'

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration asked its head of security to turn in his badge and bright blue gloves. Kelly Hoggan has been 'removed from his post.'
An internal TSA memo distributed today and leaked to Reuters says the decision to remove and replace Kelly Hoggan came after the most recent round of complaints over impossibly long lines at TSA airport security checkpoints. The memo came from agency head Peter Neffenger.

The change was announced Monday night by the House Oversight Committee's official Twitter account.

Webmaster's Commentary:

OK, that's a decent start; but in light of the fact that the TSA has proven itself pathologically incapable of catching any bad guys, or finding the practice bombs in luggage, why don't we disband this abysmally dysfunctional agency completely, and replace it with something far smarter, and far more respectful of passengers in the first place?!?

Clinton Foundation Got $100M From ‘Blood Minerals’ Firm

A little known Swedish-Canadian oil and mining conglomerate human rights groups have repeatedly charged produces “blood minerals” is among the Clinton Foundation’s biggest donors, thanks to a $100 million pledge in 2007, a Daily Caller News Foundation investigation has found.

“Blood minerals” are related to “blood diamonds,” which are allegedly mined in war zones or sold as commodities to help finance political insurgencies or despotic warlords.

When the Vancouver, Canada-based Lundin Group gave its $100 million commitment to the “Clinton Giustra Sustainable Growth Initiative,” the company had long been cutting deals with warlords, Marxist rebels, military strongmen and dictatorships in the war-torn African countries of Congo, Sudan and Ethiopia.

Saudi Press Just Accused US Govt of Blowing Up World Trade Centers as Pretext to Perpetual War

In response to the U.S. Senate’s unanimous vote to allow 9/11 victims’ families to sue Saudi Arabia in federal court, a report published in the London-based Al-Hayat daily, by Saudi legal expert Katib al-Shammari, claims that the U.S. masterminded the terror attacks as a means of creating a nebulous “enemy” in order garner public support for a global war on terror.

The report by al-Shammari, translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), claims that long-standing American policy is “built upon the principle of advance planning and future probabilities,” which the U.S. has now turned toward the Saudi regime after being successfully employed against first the Taliban and al-Qaeda, then Saddam Hussein and his secular Baathist controlled Iraq...

Religious zealots ready for takeover of Israeli army

Jonathan Cook says the takeover of Israel’s security establishment by religious extremists means no hope of a peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict – unless it is preceded by a civil war between Israel’s secular and its religious Jews.

Intel Officials Urge Fast Report on Clinton’s Emails

snip: The contrast between the copious evidence – some of it self-admitted – of Secretary Clinton’s demonstrable infractions, on the one hand, and the very sketchy, circumstantial evidence used to convict and imprison Jeffrey Sterling, on the other, lend weight to the suspicion that there is one law for the rich and powerful in the United States and another for the rest of us.

Failing to take steps against a politically powerful presidential candidate and letting her off unscathed for crimes of her own making, while an institutionally unprotected Jeffrey Sterling sits in prison would be a travesty of justice not dissimilar to the gentle wrist-slap given Gen. David Petraeus for giving his mistress extremely sensitive information and then lying to the FBI about it.

CITY OUTRAGED AFTER WATCHING COPS KILL A MAN IN A WHEELCHAIR ON VIDEO AND ESCAPE CHARGES

A community is “angry” over an attorney general’s decision refusing to prosecute the officers involved in the killing of a man in a wheelchair last year. The victim, 28-year-old Jeremy McDole was killed last September while sitting in his wheelchair on the city’s west side. Some black community leaders and residents were outraged by the outcome of the eight-month investigation led by the Delaware Department of Justice, which took the unusual step of singling out Senior Cpl. Joseph Dellose for “extraordinarily poor police work” during the incident. Dellose fired at McDole with a shotgun approximately two seconds after initially ordering him to put his hands up, the report found, creating uncertainty among other officers who, not knowing where the gunfire came from, also turned their weapons on McDole, reports Delaware Online.

Clinton campaign is ‘nervous’ Sanders will push ‘divisive’ battle over Democratic platform on Israel

Remember Hillary Clinton’s hard-right Israel positions stated again and again, including at AIPAC in March: She will invite Netanyahu to the White House in the first month; she will take Israel relationship to “the next level,” whatever that is; she will fight the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement hammer and tongs and working with Republicans to do so; and she said that Donald Trump has “no business being president,” because he has pledged neutrality on the Israel Palestine question, and an American president must never be neutral on Israel.

Then Bernie Sanders pulled the rug out from under her in that “contentious” April 14 debate in NY, saying that Netanyahu is not always right and that Israel used disproportionate force against Gaza in 2014, when it killed 500 children, and the audience cheered. They cheered because this is the Democratic base’s position, fairness toward Palestinians.

We’ve said again and again here that Israel can divide the Democrats, grassroots versus establishment, and it should divide the Democrats, it’s that important an issue.

Intel Officials Urge Fast Report on Clinton’s Emails

Last Wednesday Robert Gates, CIA Director under President Bush-41 and Defense Secretary under President Bush-43, publicly commented that Secretary Hillary Clinton’s “whole email thing … is really a concern in terms of her judgment,” adding, “I don’t know what originally prompted her to think that was a good idea.”

What originally prompted her does not matter. As your Secretary of State and your subordinate, she willfully violated laws designed to protect classified information from unauthorized disclosure. It may be somewhat difficult for those not as immersed in national security matters as we have been to appreciate the seriousness of the offense, including the harm done in compromising some of the most sensitive U.S. programs and activities. This is why we write.

U.S. Government trying to pass blame for their 2001 inside job, attacks, on the World Trade Center and Pentagon; Saudi legal expert not having it

It is blatantly obvious to me and other annalists I have spoken with that factions U.S. government are desperately trying yet once again to pass the blame by taking away attention garnered onto themselves after poorly staging the September 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, accidentally leaving mounds of incriminating evidence behind, casting a shadow of doubt over the average citizen.

NORTH DAKOTA SPILL LEAKS 120,000 GALLONS OF OIL & WASTEWATER

A site run by Denbury Onshore LLC in southwestern North Dakota has spilled more than 120,000 gallons of oil and wastewater into pastureland after a mechanical failure.

Some estimated 17,000 gallons of oil and 105,000 gallons of drilling wastewater containing saltwater and chemicals leaked into pastureland near the city of Marmarth when a tank sensor failed, news agencies quoted state regulators as saying.

The tank overflowed on Wednesday, and by Friday, workers were excavating the affected pastureland, which is being equated to the size of a football field.

Health investigators continue to monitor the spill, which Denbury believes was ultimately caused by a power outage that led to sensor failure.

Huge vacuums were being used to suck up the spilled waste from the pastureland and then crews were forced to dig around 18 inches into the ground to remove the contaminated layer of pastureland.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Looks like yet another fracking disaster, for which the people of North Dakota will be paying with massive health consequences, over time.
