Pentagon’s New “Law of War” Manual “Reduces Us to the Level of Nazis”

The Pentagon’s new Law of War Manual – a 1,200-plus page document issued in June by the Defense Department’s Office of the General Counsel – is barbaric.

The Manual is so bad that one of the leading experts on the law of war (Dr. Francis Boyle) – who wrote the Biological Weapons Anti-Terrorism Act of 1989, the American implementing legislation for the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention, served on the Board of Directors of Amnesty International, and teaches international law at the University of Illinois, Champaign – says :

This Law of War Manual reduces us to the level of Nazis. There’s no other word for it.

Boyle also says the Manual:

Reads like it was written by Hitler’s Ministry of War.

Prosecutors: No retrial for white officer who shot black man

Remember the black guy(football player) who was going door to door to get help for a traffic accident?

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina state prosecutors announced Friday that they won’t retry a white police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black man, saying that talking with jurors after the mistrial helped convince them they cannot get a conviction.

Officer fires weapon after crash, shoots baby in toe

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A police officer fired shots after his motorcycle was rammed Friday, and a baby was struck in the toe by a bullet from the officer's service weapon.

Two men are in custody and two infants were involved in the incident. No one in the suspect vehicle fired at the officer.

The motorcycle officer attempted to stop a red Dodge SUV with tinted windows for speeding at Highway 71 and 31st Street. The vehicle sped off, and the officer did not pursue the vehicle.

About 30 minutes later, the same officer received information that led him to find the SUV in the 5200 block of Wabash Avenue, police said.

THE POLICE: OUR ENEMIES IN BLUE?

The police are specialists in coercive force. Their distinguishing characteristic is the combination of surveillance and violence to make people do what people with power want them to do. That usually gets described in terms enforcing the law, but what I found in my research is that the real distribution of power is a much better indicator of how the police will act in any given situation. On the whole, they behave in ways that serve the interests of the powerful at the expense of the rest of us.

Windows Script to Remove All Windows 10 Telemetry Updates

UPDATE: Since all of our pastes and github links continue to be getting marked as spam, I have linked a direct zip package for download. You can also visit a user built site with more mirrors. https://blockwindows.wordpress.com/

Microsoft users were furious when they learned that Windows 10 is basically spyware and lots of users were asking for a fix. Ask and ye shall receive.

Below is the list of “updates” delivered by Windows Update as “telemetry and customer experience improvements”. If you don’t want to send your “telemetry” to Microsoft, remove the updates with the script provided and do not install them again. Hakspek would only advise using this code if you are technical and know what you are doing. There is a risk that the lack of updates could end up damaging your computer.

We have asked Microsoft for comment, but it has not yet responded.

Where is Neo When We Need Him

In The Matrix in which Americans live, nothing is ever their fault. For example, the current decline in the US stock market is not because years of excessive liquidity supplied by the Federal Reserve have created a bubble so overblown that a mere six stocks, some of which have no earnings commiserate with their price, accounted for more than all of the gain in market capitalization in the S&P 500 prior to the current disruption.

In our Matrix existence, the stock market decline is not due to corporations using their profits, and even taking out loans, to repurchase their shares, thus creating an artificial demand for their equity shares.

The decline is not due to the latest monthly reporting of durable goods orders falling on a year-to-year basis for the sixth consecutive month.

The stock market decline is not due to a week economy in which after a decade of alleged economy recovery, new and existing home sales are still down by 63% and 23% from the peak in July 2005.

Webmaster's Commentary:

China's economy is based heavily on manufactured exports. Their biggest customer was the US. as the US economy was driven into a Kamikaze dive by the money=junkies, Americans could no longer afford to buy products, including Chinese imports. Hence, China is actually one of the victims of Wall Street, right alongside ordinary Americans, but makes a great scapegoat by a financial and political class incapable of accepting responsibility for their mistakes.

You’ll be Scanned “At Least Once a Week,” Trash Trucks to be Equipped with License Plate Scanners

Councilman Johnny Khamis of San Jose recently suggested that garbage trucks should be used to help the police catch suspects. The councilman said that license plate readers can be placed on garbage trucks, and would send information back to police.

This would give police an extra level of surveillance that would be undetected by most people.

Ohio cop tells black man he tailed him and pulled him over for ‘direct eye contact’

A lack Ohio man got a police officer to admit to him on video that he followed him for nearly two miles and pulled him over for making “direct eye contact,” talk show host David Pakman reported.

“As suspicious as ‘making direct eye contact’ may be to a police officer, doing the exact opposite — that is, avoiding eye contact with a police officer — could be considered equally suspicious by an officer,” Pakman noted. “In other words, both making eye contact and not making eye contact with police could, conceivably, be grounds for a traffic stop, if you agree with the general principle suggested herein.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is just.... cray-cray.

If an African American is tagged for a traffic stop by police, and they can neither look directly into the eyes of the policeman, nor not make eye contact, what the heck are they supposed to do?!?

I have been ticketed in a couple of "speed traps" in my life by police, but I cannot begin to imagine what has to go through some people's minds when a routine traffic stop may become a prelude to an assassination, when one has done absolutely nothing wrong.

Police Claim Teen Ran After they Shot Him in the Back, But the Autopsy Shows that’s Impossible

Original police reports made no mention of where Ball-Bey was hit when he was allegedly turning to shoot at officers.
Last week, however, when the autopsy report was released, it showed that Ball-Bey was shot in the back. The bullet entered his back and exited through his heart.

Immediately after this release of information, police Chief Sam Dotson made the following statement:
“Just because he was shot in the back, doesn’t mean he was running away. It could be. And I’m not saying that it doesn’t mean that. I just don’t know yet.”Despite Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Michael Graham finding that Ball-Bey’s spinal cord was severed from the bullet last week, this information was not released to the media until now.
The severing of Ball-Bey’s spinal cord is an essential component in this case, which was conveniently left out. If the bullet cut his spinal cord in half, how was it that Ball-Bey ran from the back yard, where he allegedly dropped the gun, al the way to the front yard?

Anti-TPP protesters target Key meeting

Protesters jostled with police last night as they tried to disrupt a National Party fundraising event in Dunedin.

Trans Pacific Partnership opponents hoped Prime Minister John Key would enter through the Savoy restaurant's public entrance, but it is understood he used another door.

Mr Key had earlier been guest of honour at the Otago Daily Times Class Act event at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery in the Octagon.

The protest started outside the art gallery, before moving around the corner to the Savoy, in Princes St..

Up to 100 protesters attended, split between the venue's Moray Pl and Princes St entrances.

A few policemen's hats were knocked to the ground by protesters as they jostled and shoved at the Princes St entrance.

Protesters linked arms in an attempt to keep National Party supporters out of the restaurant.

Private Prisons Threaten To Sue States Unless They Get More Inmates For Free Labor

Freedom is apparently bad for business. That’s the message from the private prison industry which is threatening to sue states if they don’t start locking more people up. The private prison companies, well-known for profiting off of incarceration and crime, is now saying that the state’s they have contracted with aren’t keeping up their end of the bargain. The private prisons rely on a certain number of inmates for free and virtually-free slave labor.

Responsibility to Destroy” (R2D): Total War in Yemen, Humanitarian Catastrophe, Ignored by Western Media

After NATO’s attempt to invoke the “responsibility to protect” (R2P) as justification for the destruction of Libya, it became clear that NATO was merely hiding behind the principles of humanitarian concern, not upholding them. And while it may be difficult to believe, there are still those across the Western media and policy think-tanks attempting to use R2P to justify further military aggression against nations like Syria.

However, R2P is conveniently absent amid what little talk of Yemen that does take place in the Western media. US-backed blockades and months of aerial bombardments have tipped Yemen toward a humanitarian catastrophe. Not only does both the UN and the West fail to demand an end to the bombings and blockades, the West has continued to underwrite Saudi Arabia and the UAE’s military adventure in Yemen.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All I can think of, upon reading this article, is the old Pogo cartoon, with the caption: "I have met the enemy and he...is us!"

It is high time the American people collectively awoke up from their slumber, to understand, and realize the significance of the reality, that in global geopolitics, the US government is no longer "the good guy" anymore.

The pain the leadership of this country has inflicted for decades upon the rest of the world, for private profit, has been, and continues to be, monumental, and so morally wrong that I don't know where to begin.

But there's an interesting Biblical saying; "That which you sew, you shall also reap". This country's leadership has been sewing wars, repression, and the deaths of hapless thousands of innocents who never did a thing to hurt this country.

One doesn't have to be Fellini to figure out what the ultimate repercussions may well be of these policies, and how they may affect each and everyone of us in this country.

Who rules America?

In defense of his violations of the Constitution, which he is his sworn to defend, Obama insists that Congress has been consulted and has given its approval. That is true. He also points accurately to the sanction provided by the courts.
Yet everyone knows that the American people have never been consulted and have been lied to and kept in the dark about the destruction of their democratic rights. Even the term “bourgeois democracy” becomes something of a misnomer for a political system in which the threadbare trappings of popular sovereignty are so wholly contradicted by the realities of political life.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But if there is one small stray ray of sunshine is, that people are tuning out to the mass media, because they have tired of being lied to, so consistently and flagrantly.

They are reading blogs like this one, and understand that they have the logical abilities to think critically for themselves, and come to their own conclusions.

The Fourth Estate's "feet of clay", in terms of their ability to hold and mold public opinion to support the Government's narrative, is crumbling, and fast.

Centcom Defends Skewing ISIS War Intel

While most of the Pentagon is going out of its way to avoid comment on yesterday’s revelation of an ongoing inspectors general investigation into deliberate “skewing” of intelligence assessments on the ISIS war by Centcom, the Central Command itself is defiant, insisting that it acted entirely appropriately in its reports.

In their new statement, Centcom insisted that just because they sought “feedback” from sources like the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) didn’t mean they had to include their comments in the final assessment sent on to policy makers, and that they, as the “primary agency” in the war, get to decide what does or doesn’t get sent on.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Lying to both one's peers and the American public, is now the "new normal" for the Federal Government, which is why thinking Americans don't believe anything the Federal Government says anymore.

ISIS appears to have been concocted and protected by the very US government which condemns its acts today, and appears to be yet another "manufactured excuse" for again putting US troops in harm's way on the ground in Iraq, Libya, and ultimately Syria.

And this is the same US government, claiming that yet another incursion into these countries will be "successful this time"?!?

I am looking at the epic fail which was the invasion and occupation of Iraq; I am looking at the epic, on-going fail which is Afghanistan; and the epic fail of the invasion of Libya, and the extrajudicial assassination of its President, Ghadaffi, which has left the country in chaos; I am looking at the on-going epic fail of the US government-enabled Saudi invasion of Yemen. I am looking at a potential US ground invasion of Syria to oust Al-Assad, which may well invite war with Russia.

And the only logical explanation for the collective war madness which has engulfed the US Federal Government is that they want some war - any war - upon which to blame a coming national economic catastrophe of unimaginable proportions.

As to US government appears to be comprised of people who, collectively, can never take responsibility for anything they have done, this seems an absolutely reasonable scenario, no matter how much hurt they cause to the people of this country, and beyond, in their war lust.

NORTH DAKOTA BECOMES FIRST STATE TO LEGALIZE DRONES WEAPONIZED WITH TASERS, TEAR GAS, RUBBER BULLETS & SOUND CANONS

t is now legal for law enforcement in North Dakota to fly drones armed with everything from Tasers to tear gas thanks to a last-minute push by a pro-police lobbyist.

With all the concern over the militarization of police in the past year, no one noticed that the state became the first in the union to allow police to equip drones with “less than lethal” weapons. House Bill 1328 wasn’t drafted that way, but then a lobbyist representing law enforcement—tight with a booming drone industry—got his hands on it.

– From the Daily Beast article: First State Legalizes Taser Drones for Cops, Thanks to a Lobbyist

You could see the writing on the walls years ago. In an increasingly authoritarian, lawless, surveillance state like America, it was always inevitable that drones would be weaponized. In North Dakota, this is now a reality.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have frequently speculated that if President Obama sees utterly no legal hurdle to extrajudicial assassinations of "people who need killin' " overseas, how far a leap would it be to order extrajudicial assassinations here at home?!?

Unfortunately, it is not that great a leap, seeing how Obama loves to have his way via Executive Order, and accomplish his agenda without any Congressional oversight whatsoever.

And to all North Dakotans, I have one four-letter response to this travesty; move.

Move to another state which has not yet been collectively made mad by the evil genius of this technology, and the promise of suppression, cruelty and death it holds.

FEDS GO DOOR-TO-DOOR TO INFORM GUN OWNERS RIGHTS NOT ABSOLUTE

By criminalizing individuals 2nd Amendment right to defend themselves, government exempts itself from its own rules and faces no repercussions.

This is certainly the case in victim disarmament areas like school zones where only magical costumes and shinny badges grant one the legal right to carry a firearm – consequently making schools a prime target for mass shootings.

Government revels in the idea of asserting itself over the population – so it is no surprise that a joint initiative launched in New Orleans is doing just that as the ATF, New Orleans Police Department and the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office go door-to-door across the metro area informing gun owners that they have no rights in school zones.

“Federal law makes it an offense to possess a firearm within a 1,000 feet of a school,” U.S. Attorney Kenneth Polite, who joined in the ridiculous display of hubris, said. “So we wanted to get the word out to the community about this work.”

ON THE TAKE: PRIVATE PRISON FIRMS ARE BUYING ACCESS TO PUBLIC OFFICIALS AT LAVISH CONFERENCES

The prison industry in the United States has grown so large that there are no less than seven professional associations for people who work at prisons and jails. The industry conferences held by these associations provide a perfect venue for private corrections companies to influence government officials with little public oversight, according to a recent report by the watchdog group In The Public Interest(ITPI).

The biggest names in the prison business spend millions of dollars sponsoring these conferences and wooing prison officials with free massages, awards ceremonies, luxury dinner cruises and plenty of corporate schwag. Over the past week, one of the most prominent associations, the American Correctional Association (ACA), held its summer conference in Indianapolis, where major sponsors included private prison companies Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), GEO Group and food services giant Aramark.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These private prisons are gulags of the worst order, and by the time an inmate has served his time (if he hasn't died of complications of untreated medical issues), chances are that he emerges from these prisons far worse off than he was when he came in, and will re-offend shortly, which is music to the ears of private prison owners.

Oh, and by the way; any attempts at rehabilitation are few and far between.

Sweden is closing many of its prisons, because they don't have enough prisoners to fill them.

And why?!?

Because the full focus of prison in Sweden is rehabilitation, to the point where those serving their time become fully integrated into society once they have served their time.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton fired off a tweet this morning, staying true to her progressive roots and not allowing a senseless tragedy to go to waste by calling for “action to stop gun violence” in light of the tragic murder of a news crew in Virginia.

Since Hillary has taken a serious shellacking in the polls over the last few weeks, it isn’t surprising to see her attempting to use the shooting to try boosting her numbers a bit, but that doesn’t make the move any less despicable.

Another Edition of Police State or Back to the Middle Ages

In the recent years, a trend towards a narrowing of the sphere of individual freedoms has been observed throughout the world. At the same time, we see the expansion of sovereign freedoms — the sphere where government allows itself to interfere with a citizen's private life. Despite a widely declared commitment to the liberal values and multiple attempts of Western countries to force "authoritarian" rulers to respect human rights using various types of sanctions, the modern liberal state has so far failed in clearing itself of charges of regular violations of human rights and double standards. The problem is that rationality as a key liberal principle may be directed not only towards freedom and progress but also towards control for the sake of progress and, in the worst case, control for the sake of control. As a result, instead of liberal, creative and unfettered individuals we may obtain a sort of "ant colony state" — a community of inert, disengaged and totally controlled masses.

I did it for the people who come back from war and get abused by these cameras. I did it because senior citizens are getting these, the same ones that went to war for us. Mystery Surrounding the Malaysian Airlines MH17 Crash: US Attempts to Frame Russia

The US and its allies wanted Russia branded with a scarlet letter. They manoeuvred Putin into a no-win situation: appear submissive or appear a mass murderer. Heads I win, tails you lose. I’ve been writing and speaking about dangerous medical drugs for almost 30 years, and I haven’t seen any limits placed on the basic FDA-Pharma partnership. This isn’t case of seeing a) government or b) corporations as the basic criminal. They’re both criminals, in collaboration with each other.

In a half-sane society, the big drug companies would have been prosecuted to the sky long ago. Their charters to do business in any state would have been revoked. Their CEOs, executives, and scientists would have been put behind bars for life. Even a limited federal government would have done that.

Here is where I’m in accord with Libertarians: people have the right and the freedom to refuse medication, under any circumstances, even where the experts claim death will be the inevitable outcome. And people have the right to ingest any compounds they decide might help them.

Never Forget: The Central Banks Have Engineered This Collapse

snip: It is the central banks that have created this mess, and what’s more they have created this mess in the full knowledge that their actions would lead to disaster. And now, one can be sure, the same central bankers and their political puppet mouthpieces will use this crisis to continue the construction of the “New World Order” that they called for in the wake of the 2008 collapse.

Anyone who can’t see the endgame now–global government by the bankers, of the bankers and for the bankers–is either blind or willfully ignorant.

Never Forget: The Central Banks Have Engineered This Collapse

OK, enough sarcasm. Readers of this column will know by now that the phoney baloney stock markets, manipulated as they are from top to bottom and juiced as they are on the Fed’s QE heroin, are no longer reflective of economic reality. The only question is how far this particular dead cat market will bounce, and whether it will be helped along with more heroin from the Fed.

But there is already one vitally important take away from these events that the independent media must articulate now, before it’s too late. Namely: This crisis was engineered by the central banks. It is their fault.

Let me repeat that again in case you missed it: This crisis was engineered by the central banks.

Nearly Half a Million Driver Licenses Issued To Illegal Aliens In CA Since January

Under California's new law AB60, which went into effect in January, 442,000 driver licenses have been issued to illegal immigrants. 45,000 AB 60 driver licenses were issued in July 2015, out of a total 123,000, bringing the illegal alien (AB60) license issuance to over one third of the state's total for last month.

Saudi Arabia Beheads Nearly Twice As Many People As ISIS So Far This Year

In January, a Muslim woman from Myanmar screamed “I did not kill” and pled with her attackers for mercy, but they showed none. In the center of an intersection, she was publicly beheaded in front of spectators, her death caught covertly on video.

It’s the kind of horrifying tableau that has become almost commonplace in Western media, as it plays out each time ISIS claims its latest victims. But this woman, Laila Bint Abdul Muttalib Basim, wasn’t a victim of ISIS, but one of 110 prisoners executed by Saudi Arabia so far this year. In fact, this U.S. ally has beheaded almost twice as many prisoners as ISIS in 2015 and may be on pace to achieve a record-breaking number of executions.

Iran’s PressTV reported on Basim’s death along with several others, both foreigners and Saudi nationals, in July:

“Basim then screamed as a sword-wielding man struck her neck. Second and third blows completed the beheading and authorities swiftly removed her body from the road.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

When human rights gets in the way of "doing business", the US government has a very ugly, and consistent, habit of turning a blind eye, as they have with Saudi Arabia.

I would like to politely remind this Administration that to some degree, one is judged... by the company one keeps.

NORTH DAKOTA POLICE CAN NOW USE DRONES WITH LESS THAN LETHAL WEAPONS

It is now legal for law enforcement in North Dakota to fly drones armed with everything from Tasers to tear gas thanks to a last-minute push by a pro-police lobbyist.

New Defense Department Manual Allows Journalists To Be Held As 'Unprivileged Belligerents'

New Defense Department guidelines allow commanders to punish journalists and treat them as "unprivileged belligerents" if they believe journalists are sympathizing or cooperating with the enemy.

The Law of War manual, updated to apply for the first time to all branches of the military, contains a vaguely worded provision that military commanders could interpret broadly, experts in military law and journalism say. Commanders could ask journalists to leave military bases or detain journalists for any number of perceived offenses.

"In general, journalists are civilians," the 1,180 page manual says, but it adds that "journalists may be members of the armed forces, persons authorized to accompany the armed forces, or unprivileged belligerents."

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is so anti-First Amendment, and such a sickeningly "slippery slope" when it comes to persecuting reporters for perhaps telling the truth, rather than providing a cover for recruiting "militants", I hardly know where to begin, and I hope that it gets challenged, and immediately, all the bloody way up to the Supreme Court.

And to anyone in the DOD who might not know; I am a Methodist and Christian pacifist. That means that I never, EVER advocate violence; I advocate logic and and thoughtful response to resolving a problem.

So then, if I calmly point out a moment in the thinking of this government that is illogical, and both ham-fistedly and pig-headedly wrong, in terms of this government actually doing right by the people it allegedly represents, does that make me a "terrorist"?!?

Apparently, according to the DOD, the answer is yes.

Welcome to 21st century Amerika, my friends, where logic and truth ....have become criminalized.

At 66, I do not recognise the United States of America anymore, and that is a very painful realization for someone who very much cares about her country.

Woman Faces a Year in Prison and $20,000 Fine After Trapping Skunk That Died

Prosecutors have charged a mother who was nursing her baby boy with "crimes against animals" for not handling a wild skunk and getting it out of the hot sun after it was trapped in her backyard. Cynthia Casas faces $20,000 in fines and a year in prison, with a court date in September.

"She made it out like she came and caught me doing something malicious to an animal," Casas explained. "How could this happen when we're trying to do the right thing?" she asked. "Humane Officer and wildlife expert" FAVIOLA LEON arrived and admonished the woman for not taking care of the wild skunk. The Inland Valley Humane Society boasts that they have a 100% conviction rate. The insane, deranged agency can be reached at (909) 623-9777.

TPP sceptics won't halt deal - Groser

Trade Minister says 'extreme claims' by ideological opponents wide of the mark.

Trade Minister Tim Groser has lashed out at public opposition to the Trans Pacific Partnership, saying he won't let "anti-trade forces" stand in the way of the contentious deal.

Speaking to Southeast Asian and New Zealand entrepreneurs at a summit in Kuala Lumpur, he said resistance to the TPP was deeply ideological and extreme claims were being made, including that it would lead to the end of democracy.

"I mean, really?" Groser said. "It is a mixture of a set of deeply ideological opponents to the use of markets ... [who] focus on trade liberalisation to express a deeply ideological view that is the antithesis of all countries' practical experience over the last 40 years."

Thousands of people took part in anti-TPP demonstrations across New Zealand this month.

Group sparks country's biggest rates rebellion

Note: I kept emailing the Council to show me the legality of the rates but was always sent a BS reply. They knew that the rates were not legal at the time. The CEO at the time, was given $250,000 to leave due to "sickness". It was a lie. One of the Councillors at the time told me as he is a local farmer. I was threatened with penalties if I had not paid.

The group that revolted over a $65m wastewater plant, brought down a local council and sparked the country's biggest rates rebellion has taken its case to the Court of Appeal.

Mangawhai Ratepayers and Residents Association was seeking a declaration that Kaipara District Council cannot rate for unlawful purposes and must quash rates charged for purposes deemed illegal.

'Secret court' provision alarms Law Society

A late change to health and safety legislation will allow use of so-called "secret courts" - and that should concern New Zealanders, the Law Society says.

A last-minute addition to the controversial health and safety reforms currently progressing through Parliament has alarmed the Law Society.

The changes would allow court hearings to be held in secret, in order to protect national security. The Crown could introduce secret evidence, which would not be seen by the defendant or their legal team.

The Law Society said the provisions would allow a person to be tried and convicted of a criminal offence without seeing all the evidence against them, and without the right to be present during all proceedings.

It has written to Workplace Relations and Safety Minister Michael Woodhouse to protest that the provisions should not have been inserted at such a late stage.

FLASHBACK 2005 - 'The Chosen': Getting In

A few years ago, I wrote a book about the rise of a new educated class, the people with 60's values and 90's money who go to Starbucks, shop at Whole Foods and drive Volvos. A woman came up to me after one of my book talks and said, "You realize what you're talking about is the Jews taking over America."

My eyes bugged out, but then I realized that she was Jewish and she knew I was, too, and between us we could acknowledge there's a lot of truth in that statement. For the Jews were the vanguard of a social movement that over the course of the 20th century transformed the American university system and the nature of the American elite.
