Toronto police G20 commander apologizes after being convicted of misconduct

The senior officer who ordered the “kettle” of people at the G20 summit five years ago has apologized after being found guilty of three of five charges related to his role in the largest mass arrests in Canadian peacetime history.

Supt. David (Mark) Fenton was convicted on two of three charges of exercising unlawful or unnecessary authority, and on one of two charges of discreditable conduct.

“He deeply regrets that some of those decisions led to the arrest of people who were not involved in the violence and that some people were held in the rain for hours,” Fenton’s lawyer Peter Brauti said in a statement.

“He would like to personally apologize to all those innocent parties that were negatively affected.”

CAPTAIN ABANDONS SHIP: Has Tsipras Just Resigned Himself To The Dust Bin of History?

Tsipras and his party Syriza came to power on a wave on anti-austerity rhetoric that had the West shaking in their boots. Western mainstream media even called the country a ‘hub for terrorism’ the very DAY after they came to power! Their demands were seen as the main reason for their colossal victory just a few short months ago.

When it came to zero-hour Syriza and Tsipras held firm for a while, imposing capital controls and shutting down banks, yet ultimately they ended up giving in to what some saw as act of treason committed against their own people.

Tsipras plans to stage an early ‘snap’ election, and said in a live TV address that, “the political mandate of the January 25 elections has exhausted its limits and now the Greek people have to have their say.”

Police brutality against blacks a result of Israeli training: Analyst

US police treat African Americans the way Israel oppresses Palestinians as American law enforcement officers receive training in Israel, says an analyst.

More than a thousand African-American activists have expressed solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and announced that they would join the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) global campaign against Israel.

In a recent letter, they “reaffirmed solidarity with the Palestinian struggle and commitment to the liberation of Palestine’s land and people,” Russia Today reported.

“Israel’s widespread use of detention and imprisonment against Palestinians evokes the mass incarceration of Black people in the US, including the political imprisonment of our own revolutionaries,” the letter reads.

Senior civil rights activists, such as scholars Cornel West and Angela Davis, and Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, signed the document.

UK surveillance “worse than 1984,” says new UN privacy chief

The newly appointed UN special rapporteur on privacy, Joseph Cannataci, has called the UK's oversight of surveillance "a rather bad joke at its citizens’ expense," and said that the situation regarding privacy is "worse" than anything George Orwell imagined in his novel 1984. Speaking to The Guardian, Cannataci said: "at least Winston [a character in Orwell's 1984] was able to go out in the countryside and go under a tree and expect there wouldn’t be any screen, as it was called. Whereas today there are many parts of the English countryside where there are more cameras than George Orwell could ever have imagined. So the situation in some cases is far worse already."

Cannataci is also concerned about the routine surveillance carried out by Internet companies as a key part of their business model. "They just went out and created a model where people’s data has become the new currency," he said.

Southern Calif. School District Bravely Refuses To Ban Confederate Flag Clothing, Even After Scuffle Between Students

Apple Valley High School in the Inland Empire area of Southern California has bravely refused to ban Confederate flag clothing, even after a publicized scuffle between students over the matter. Banksterism 101: Banks Get Credit for Helping the Poor — By Financing Their Evictions?

In 1977, Congress wanted to make sure commercial banks fulfilled their commitment to serve all communities in America, regardless of income level. “A public charter conveys numerous economic benefits,” said William Proxmire, then head of the Senate Banking Committee, “and in return it is legitimate for public policy and regulatory practice to require some public purpose.” Under the Community Reinvestment Act, banks are periodically examined for how well they provide lending and investment to low- and moderate-income (LMI) neighborhoods where they take deposits. Since its enactment, 97 percent of all banks examined have received a “Satisfactory” or “Outstanding” grade, according to the Congressional Research Service.

More than Forty Percent of American Children Are Living in Poverty

A January 2015 report from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health reveals that forty four percent of children (those under 18) are living in de facto poverty. The Federal Government issues an artificially low annual official poverty level that radically understates the real level of US poverty. For 2015 the official level of poverty for a family of four, for example, is roughly an income $24,000 a year or less. This is for a family with 2 adults and 2 children.

The government likes to make a distinction between “poor” and “low income” but this is just a semantic game to try and hide the true level of economic deprivation Washington is willing to inflict on millions of children in order to avoid comprehensive welfare reform and realistic taxation polices directed at Wall Street and the 1 percent.

The Neoconservative Empire Returns

Everyone knows the basics of the dispute over the nuclear deal with Iran. In no time at all, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu leaped directly into the American political arena to take potshots at that agreement in a way that, had any other world leader acted similarly, would have been denounced across the political spectrum. And he did so backed not only by his own party and government but by established opinion makers in Israel, all of whom are deeply convinced that the deal is neither reasonable nor in Israel’s best interests.

Webmaster's Commentary:

A war against Iran will most likely invite a war with Russia, coming to Iran's aid militarily.

The US military does not have the money, the troop strength, or the manufacturing to insure a positive outcome in a war against Russia, and that is what makes a war against Iran so scarily dangerous.

There are times when the interests of Israel and the US do align; the issue of the treaty with Iran is not one of those times.

And of course, the Israeli government wants the US to fight this war for them; that means it will be Americans in our military who will fight, die, and get maimed for life in a war to protect Israel's best interests.

Is this the highest and best use of US the US military?!? Absolutely not.

Hundreds of migrants cross border unhindered from Greece into Macedonia - video

Hundreds of migrants cross from Greece into Macedonia on Sunday after Macedonian security forces appeared to abandon a bid to seal the border, following days of confrontation. Large groups of migrants can be seen walking across the border to Gevgelija train stations where they wait to board trains northwards to Serbia. Macedonia had declared a state of emergency on Thursday and sealed its southern frontier, using riot police and tear gas in an attempt to drive back crowds, but the police lines were overwhelmed on Saturday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Guardian gives absolutely zero context is to why this is happening.

I watched some clips of what what going on in Macedonia on Al-Jazeera television on Saturday.

Most of these people are war-displaced Syrians, desperately trying to get into Europe to achieve some kind of refugee status.

The Macedonian police were beating men with clubs, and throwing flash-bang grenades at the feet of mothers with toddlers in their arms.

The US government, redoubling its efforts to oust Bashir Al-Assad, is specifically responsible for this massive human tidal wave of misery, but will, of course, do absolutely nothing to help these people.

They are, to this government, simply "collateral damage",because they did not have the collective good taste to die outright in their country of origin.

Just looking at the faces of those parents, kids and toddlers, with all the trauma they have had to endure, nearly made me cry, and I think it would have done the same for all decent people of conscience.

This is a pogrom against people of the Middle East and Africa, because they have the nerve to be living on resources - or near potential pipeline routes - the US government wants for itself, and to insure that payments for those resources are only doe with US dollars.

DHS KEPT SECRET THE RELEASE OF VIOLENT CRIMINAL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS

Obama administration officials only began notifying local law enforcement officials of the release of violent criminal illegal immigrants within the last two weeks, according to Arizona law enforcement officials, who say they have for years been kept in the dark about the release of illegal immigrants back into local towns.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had been keeping secret its release of illegal immigrants with violent criminal records from local law enforcement for at least two years, denying for a time that this was taking place, law enforcement officials disclosed to the Washington Free Beacon.

The public disclosure of this practice, in which Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) frees criminal illegal immigrants back into U.S. communities, came to light earlier this week, when Arizona law enforcement was made aware that three illegal aliens with violent criminal records had been released back onto the streets.

TPP Stumbles, Puts Sovereignty at Grave Risk

A funny thing happened on the way to global governance. Just when the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) was supposed to move one step closer to world corporatocracy, it stumbled over nationalism and fell. It may soon rise up again—all too soon—but the world’s plutocrats took a pace backward in failing to reach agreement on the final text of the proposed “free trade” treaty at the end of July in Lahaina, Hawaii.

The TPP is meant to bind irrevocably the 11 largest non-United States economies around the Pacific rim, except China, to U.S. hegemony. But despite super secrecy and some 650 U.S. government shills for Big Business—plus 150 reporters and hundreds of lobbyists euphemistically called “stakeholders”—the internationalists were unable to leap key hurdles in their race to control mankind.

We Are All Terror Suspects Under the FBI’s Communities Against Terrorism Program

“Using cash for large transactions” is another no, no. But my credit card was stolen the other day at the restaurant and so now I pay in cash. I hope that has not been made illegal by Congress. But if I purchase a home entertainment system, etc., for cash, am I to be reported to the FBI for such a large transaction by the young person behind the cash register who wants to prove he or she is a loyal citizen?

Always paying in cash at an internet café is clear evidence of a suspected terrorist, we are told. Especially if you are a Comcast or AOL subscriber or believe in privacy and do not allow anyone to look over your shoulder to read what you have on your screen. And do not read the New York Times on line there because you can be reported for focusing too much on terrorist attacks. So what if the Times reports such things almost daily worldwide? The police have nothing more important to do than check out what you are reading in the paper, according to the FBI.

Blighted houses still mar New Orleans a decade after Katrina

From the hardscrabble Lower Ninth Ward to middle-class Gentilly, thousands of abandoned homes still litter neighborhoods in New Orleans, a glaring reminder of the mass exodus of residents that followed Hurricane Katrina in 2005.A decade after the storm triggered flooding that damaged 70 percent of the city's housing stock, the most-blighted streets in town are still lined with boarded-up houses that pose safety hazards to residents who have repaired and rebuilt homes nearby. In the Lower Ninth Ward in particular, a 10-minute drive from the jazz clubs and bar of New Orleans' historic downtown, large swaths of vacant houses and overgrown lots shelter rodents and snakes amid pockets of recovery where entire blocks of dwellings have been renovated.

Residents complain the areas are not safe for children to play and that abandoned housing invites the illegal drug trade and other criminal activity, hampering further recovery.

Flashback: U.S. Bishops condemned U.S. Government, G.W. Bush & Vaccine Makers for "use of tissue from induced abortions for vaccine development & research"

Nebraska Teachers Sign Pledge Promising To Propagandize Students

Hastings School District in Nebraska recently caught the attention of the ACLU by forcing teachers to sign a pledge promising to propagandize children with nationalistic propaganda.
The pledge demanded that teachers mold students to have “love and devotion” for the U.S. government, giving a glimpse into the true motive of government education.

The issue was quickly noticed by the ACLU, which deemed the policy unconstitutional and demanded the school district stop forcing the teachers to make such a promise.
“You need to know that the statute is a dead letter law which has been clearly overruled by the highest court in the land. Attempting to enforce the state statute is unconstitutional and will expose the school district to liability to a civil rights lawsuit,” the ACLU said in a statement last week.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I have to wonder; in the state of Nebraska, does molding kids to have "...love and devotion for the US government..." mean never have any disagreements with the policy of that government, even when those policies are pig-headedly, ham-fistedly not in the best interests of the American people?!?

Is that "love and devotion" supposed to be complete and unquestioning, even when the wars in which our American kids fight, die, or come home maimed for life, are ultimately for private profit, as we well know they are?!?

It would appear here that the state of Nebraska is trying to inculcate blind obedience to the State, to the complete disfavor of logical, critical thinking.

Were I a parent in Nebraska, understanding this, I would be hauling my kid out of the public school there so fast that the principal's head would be spinning around faster than did Linda Blair's in "The Exorcist".

UNITED STATES JUST PASSED UP OLD SOVIET UNION GULAGS FOR LARGEST PRISON SYSTEM

For decades, the Soviet Gulags under Joseph Stalin had been considered some of the worst prisons in all of history. But now things have changed.

The United States has far exceeded the horrific tolls of the gulags. In the Soviet example, there were more than 18 million victims during the gulags’ use over four decades.

Around a million people died in the gulags over the years.

Now, as of 2009, the United States tolls soar higher than 7 million in prison, on probation or in some way caught up in the American prison system.

On the surface that might sound like a lot less than the gulag total above. But when you factor in all who have been put through the US prison system, we find a total that is higher than 19 million. That’s more than the 18 million locked up in the gulag system over those forty years.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The American prison system is an absolute, complete, total failure, and if you don't believe me, take a look at the recidivism rate.

As reported at http://www.nij.gov/topics/corrections/recidivism/pages/welcome.aspx:

National Statistics on Recidivism Bureau of Justice Statistics studies have found high rates of recidivism among released prisoners. One study tracked 404,638 prisoners in 30 states after their release from prison in 2005.[1] The researchers found that: Within three years of release, about two-thirds (67.8 percent) of released prisoners were rearrested. Within five years of release, about three-quarters (76.6 percent) of released prisoners were rearrested. Of those prisoners who were rearrested, more than half (56.7 percent) were arrested by the end of the first year. Property offenders were the most likely to be rearrested, with 82.1 percent of released property offenders arrested for a new crime compared with 76.9 percent of drug offenders, 73.6 percent of public order offenders and 71.3 percent of violent offenders.

IF the American prison system worked, these numbers would not be anywhere near as high.

And it galls me for all the money spent here, the outcome is so absurdly lousy.

In Sweden, they are closing their prisons, because they don't have enough prisoners to fill them. And why?!? Because the entire focus of incarceration is rehabilitation, period, end of discussion. The Swedish model looks to encourage family involvement, so that when a prisoner has served his or her time, they can re-integrate with society, and become productive again.

But particularly with the private prisons, low recidivism rates hurts their bottom line, so when prisoners are released, they are generally worse off, emotionally, physically, and mentally, that they are most probably going to offend again.

This is so morally wrong, both for society and the individual prisoners, that I hardly know where to begin.

Could any dictator desire more? Almost the entire population of the Empire is now thinking the same way!

The populace is “educated” at schools and the universities staffed with submissive, and cowardly teachers and professors.

The populace is “informed” by hundreds of thousands of servile journalists and “analysts”. There is almost no deviation from the official narrative.

Congratulations, Western Empire! You have succeeded where others tried but failed. You have achieved almost absolute obedience and discipline, a total servility.

TPP requires major sales effort to gain acceptance

New Zealanders are so deeply polarised on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) that even if a good deal is finally negotiated it will take a major sales job on the Government's behalf so it's not viewed as a con job by many Kiwis.

This polarisation - which would be apparent to the Government's pollsters - may have been behind why John Key and Tim Groser stepped up the rhetoric on the pact this week.

Key used a sympathetic audience at Amcham's 50th anniversary celebrations in Auckland to stake out New Zealand's position on TPP and try to take the sting out of some of the wilder accusations which have gained currency in the absence of in-depth briefing from the Government side.

Crippling court costs force poverty-stricken people to 'plead guilty to crimes they didn't commit'

Poverty-stricken people are being encouraged to plead guilty to crimes they did not commit out of fear they will face crippling costs imposed by new financial penalties, leading lawyers, magistrates and campaigners have warned.

Legal experts have called for an urgent review of the criminal courts charge, which has been compared to “18th-century” forms of justice after being implemented earlier this year.

The new levy was introduced by the former Justice Secretary, Chris Grayling, to make criminals pay for the upkeep of the courts. Because the charge can be up to 10 times higher if someone is found guilty after pleading innocence, critics say it is undermining the justice system by encouraging impoverished defendants to plead guilty even if they have done nothing wrong.

Windows 10 is spying on almost everything you do – here’s how to opt out

Windows 10 is amazing. Windows 10 is fantastic. Windows 10 is glorious. Windows 10 is faster, smoother and more user-friendly than any Windows operating system that has come before it. Windows 10 is everything Windows 8 should have been, addressing nearly all of the major problems users had with Microsoft’s previous-generation platform in one fell swoop.

But there’s something you should know: As you read this article from your newly upgraded PC, Windows 10 is also spying on nearly everything you do.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Microsoft says is reading and accessing all the content in your computer, mail, movies, data, audio, excel files, pictures, porn, pirated items, torrents, illegal speech, etc. and if they find something illegal, you will be accused as a criminal to FBI and local Police

Here is the statement:

"We will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to."

About-Face: Autopsy Shows Police Shot St. Louis Teen in the Back

A young black man, who was killed by police in St. Louis this week, died from a gunshot to the back, according to the results of an autopsy.

An autopsy of 18-year-old Mansur Ball-Bey, who was killed by St. Louis policemen on Wednesday, has revealed that he died from a single wound in the back, media reports quoted police officials as saying.
It was earlier reported that St. Louis police officers killed the 18-year-old while conducting a search on his home.

Police claimed that two suspects had been attempting to flee, when the young man pointed a gun at officers and refused to drop it, prompting them to shoot and kill him. The other man remains on the run.

Webmaster's Commentary:

One has to conclude that there is no credibility or accountability in any office of government, including that of state or city police.

Can the States seize control of federal lands?

The term “Sagebrush Rebellion” is again showing up in newspapers across the American west as states seek more control over federal lands within their own boundaries. As with the original Sagebrush Rebellion of the 1970s and 1980s, several western states, where the federal government owns well over one-third of land within the states, have begun to look to more local control of lands as an answer to federal indifference, mismanagement, and outright hostility. In at least one case — Utah — the state has initiated a lawsuit in an effort to wrest more control of lands out of federal hands.

The incidents follows a visit earlier this week to Israel’s northern border by the Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu and defence minister Moshe Ya’alon and anonymous briefings to Israeli military correspondents that appeared to suggest Israel might be preparing a contingency plan to strike back in Syria in the event of an escalation.?
Northern Israel has been hit by four rockets fired from Syrian territory, amid contradictory claims from Israeli defence spokesmen over who was responsible.

House lawsuit against Obama is turning into a real problem for the president

unprecedented House lawsuit against President Obama that was once derided as a certain loser looks stronger now and may soon deliver an early legal round to Republican lawmakers complaining of executive branch overreach.

A federal judge is expected to decide shortly whether to dismiss the suit, but thanks to an amended complaint and a recent Supreme Court ruling, the Republican-backed case has a much better chance of proceeding, attorneys agree.

At issue is whether the House may sue in court to defend its constitutionally granted "power of the purse" if the president spends money that was not appropriated by Congress.

The lawsuit alleges that Obama's top aides quietly claimed the power to spend $178 billion over the next decade to reimburse health insurers for covering the cost of co-payments for low-income people who buy subsidized insurance under the Affordable Care Act.

Webmaster's Commentary:

All financial bills are supposed to originate in the House of Representatives, period, end of discussion.

And Secretary Burwell; monies given to health insurers to compensate for fees under Obamacare are now "..akin to entitlements, so there was no need to seek additional approval from Congress"?!?

THAT is completely hubristic in the extreme, and I hope the lawsuit is successful against this administration on that reason alone.

WHAT DROUGHT? NESTLE PAYS ONLY $524 TO EXTRACT 27,000,000 GALLONS OF CALIFORNIA DRINKING WATER

Nestle has found itself more and more frequently in the glare of the California drought-shame spotlight than it would arguably care to be — though not frequently enough, apparently, for the megacorporation to have spontaneously sprouted a conscience. Drought-shaming worked sufficiently enough for Starbucks to stop bottling water in the now-arid state entirely, uprooting its operations all the way to Pennsylvania. But Nestle simply shrugged off public outrage and then upped the ante by increasing its draw from natural springs — most notoriously in the San Bernardino National Forest — with an absurdlyexpired permit.

‘You hate America': Cenk Uygur rips Kansas Repubs who fired woman for not going to church

Young Turks host Cenk Uygur blasted Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach (R) and his office on Thursday for allegedly firing a woman for not attending a church.

“You love religion so much you want even more restriction — you want everybody to follow whatever religion the people believe in. You got Iran, you got Saudi Arabia. You got choices, man,” Uygur said. “One of your choices is not Kansas, in the United States of America. Here, we do not do religious tests for office. You know who decided that? Our founding fathers, when they put it in the Constitution. If you don’t like it, get the f*ck out of the country. Leave. Go home right now, wherever that is for you. America’s not home for you. You hate America.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

To the best of my knowledge and belief, this firing was completely illegal on Constitutional grounds.

This woman has one hell of a lawsuit here, and I hope that she will find a pro bono attorney who will point out, in the lawsuit, that Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach has absolutely no right to attempt to force someone into a house of worship.

It is hubris, above and beyond the pale, that Kobach believed he personally had the right to force this decision on this woman.

And I say this as a Methodist Christian: faith should never be forced on anyone, like a mandatory vaccine; it should be an invitation, and solely on the basis of the willingness of the individual find a spiritual resonance with a faith community.

Location, Sensors, Voice, Photos?! Spotify Just Got Real Creepy With The Data It Collects On You

Music streaming market leader Spotify has decided that it wants to know a lot more about you. It wants to be able to access the sensor information on your phone so it can determine whether you’re walking, running or standing still. It wants to know your GPS coordinates, grab photos from your phone and look through your contacts too. And it may share that information with its partners, so a whole load of companies could know exactly where you are and what you’re up to.

This has all been made apparent by a rather significant update to the Spotify privacy policy, pushed out to users today. Upon opening the Spotify app up this morning, your reporter was greeted with a request to agree to the new conditions. A quick comparison with the previous privacy policy using the Wayback Machine showed some major changes had been made. I’m now considering whether the £10 I pay for a premium membership is worth it, given the amount of privacy I’d be giving away by consenting.

FBI HAD 12-PAGE FILE ON GEORGE CARLIN BECAUSE HE MADE JOKES ABOUT GOVERNMENT

Comedian George Carlin is known as one of the most controversial and outspoken entertainers of his time and, as far as the government is concerned, he could have possibly been a terrorist.

He went into great detail about corruption in government and business.

During the 1978 Supreme Court case, FCC v Pacifica Foundation, the government cited Carlin’s work as an example of profanity. They used his “Seven Dirty Words” segment to show the type of language that was being used in records and broadcasts. However, the government’s interest in his work did not stop there.

Webmaster's Commentary:

So, let me get this straight. People who are funny, and tell the truth about this government in a funny way, have been designated "terrorists" by the American government since 1969?!?

Carlin was far more than just a comedian; he, in many ways, was a prophet, and looking at the complete dysfunction of US Federal government , he was absolutely right on so many levels.

New Mexico: Joyriding Traffic Cop Held Liable For Fatality

snip: The three-judge panel found his arbitrary actions involved a constitutional violation — the deprivation of life — under the color of law. “He used his official squad car and activated its emergency lights and proceeded to speed through surface city streets at more than 60 miles per hour over 8.8 miles through eleven city intersections and at least one red light — all for his personal pleasure, on no governmental business of any kind,” Judge Neil M. Gorsuch wrote for the court. “What’s more, the New Mexico statute empowering police officers to speed and run red lights when pursuing a lawbreaker expressly states that it does not insulate an officer ‘from the consequences of his reckless disregard for the safety of others.'”

I clearly remember the moment several years ago when my closest friend from NYC was at my place pleading with me to download and use Spotify.

The pitch was compelling and I was open minded about the concept, until I learned that you had to login through Facebook to use it (no longer the case I believe). I immediately found this creepy and refused to use it.

Social Engineering 2.0 – Google Algorithm Poses “Serious Threat to Democratic System”

Things are now so advanced, that Politico is blowing the whistle on how much influence technology has gained in its ability to steer a “democratic” society that believes in the illusion of choice, elections and voting.

A simple algorithm could allow Google to swing popular opinion on election candidates or issues by as much as 20%, and beyond according to this report. That’s more than enough to alter the outcome of democracy… and make our voices something of a moot point.

Just watch the trends on Drudgereport. As the articles progress, what she did becomes less and less . . . . . yet the 17,800 classified mails plus other odds and ends is actually the same. Someone stepped in and started messing with the team that is doing the analysis of her hard drive, the entire investigation has been usurped and those who were initially on the project called the Michael Savage radio program to say what is going on. The Federal Reserve is Not Your Friend

Imagine that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was a corporation, with its shares owned by the nation's major pharmaceutical companies. How would you feel about the regulation of medications? Whose interests would this corporation be serving? Or suppose that major oil companies appointed a small committee to periodically announce the price of a barrel of crude in the United States. How would that impact you at the gasoline pump?

Such hypotheticals would strike the majority of Americans as completely absurd, but it's exactly how our banking system operates.

United Kingdom — The Northamptonshire police force has announced it will strip officers of the right to stop and search individuals if officers are deemed to have abused the law enforcement tactic. The panel has already stripped the power from three special constables, two regular constables, and three sergeants since last October. Six of the nine have since had their powers reinstated after further training.

Notes on Police Violence in America: St. Louis Police Kill 18-year-old, Send SWAT Teams against Demonstrators

The rapid police suppression of this minor protest in St. Louis reveals the advanced state of decay of democratic rights in the United States. When a crowd gathers to express anger and protest, the response of the state is increasingly to send in heavily armed, militarized police to intimidate protesters and quell social opposition.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a Christian pacifist who abhors violence, I am watching in great alarm as minor protests get escalated, generally by police violence. As long as a protest remains peaceful, the police do not, Constitutionally, have a legal right to intervene.

It is painfully clear that the underlying problems of poverty, drugs, and crime, have not been dealt with by city and country officials in St. Louis at all, one year after the shooting of Kajieme Powell.

I would like to hope that the leadership of all faith communities, churches, synagogues, and mosques in St. Louis come together to create some meaningful dialogue with police, and develop a better sense of trust.

I would also like to encourage the leadership of all faith communities to come together to create a public/private partnership for education in jobs which cannot be outsourced to the cheapest international pools of labor (as has most manufacturing).

FLASHBACK - The Boot That Stamps On Your Face

The way to see that picture of one central controlling financial octopus slithering down through history with backroom bribes and secret assassinations is to take the core syllabus of Eustace Mullins and Archibald Maule Ramsay, edit it, and lay it out like an outline.

1645: Portuguese Jewish bankers in Holland Solomon de Medina and Fernando Carvajal secretly fund Oliver Cromwell to readmit the Jews to England, where they had been banished for loansharking for almost 400 years. This drama leads to the killing of the king, the debauching of Ireland, and the capture of the British treasury by the Jews, which is why the [Rothschild] City of London is the power center of the world today.

These alarming new passport laws are being snuck through Congress right now

Just the other day we wrote about a U.S. House “suspension” bill that would give the Secretary of State the authority to cancel your passport if he decided that you had “aided” an organization that he rules is terrorist.

There is no definition of what “aided” means, no chance to dispute the Secretary’s decision, no trial or presentation of evidence, and in fact any evidence the government has can be classified as secret so that you may not see it. In effect the Secretary of State can unilaterally consign you to internal exile and there is nothing you can do about it.

Because Members of the U.S. House were too cowardly to go on record voting for such an anti-American piece of legislation, the bill passed by a voice vote.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Is America, in the 21st century still the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave" or has it become the "Land of the Cowed, and the Home of the Surveilled"?!?

The border between the US and Mexico is completely open, with no real control whatsoever; now, they want to lock the border against legal Americans leaving?!? Something is absolutely wrong with this picture.

Americans Don’t Know that the Rest of the World Views U.S. as Biggest Danger, Rogue State

According to the leading western polling agencies (WIN/Gallup International), the prize for “greatest threat” is won by the United States. The rest of the world regards it as the gravest threat to world peace by a large margin. In second place, far below, is Pakistan, its ranking probably inflated by the Indian vote. Iran is ranked below those two, along with China, Israel, North Korea, and Afghanistan.
