FLUSTERCLUCK! Healthcare.gov sent out 800,000 bad tax forms; Update: Officials don’t know what happened?

The Obama administration says it sent about 800,000 HealthCare.gov customers the wrong tax information, and officials are asking those consumers to delay filing their 2014 taxes. …

The errors mean that nearly 1 million people may have to wait longer to get their tax refunds this year.

How Germany Is Blowing Up The European Union

As Germany is set to reject a Greek loan extension request (and no, international press, that is not the same as an extension of the bailout program), Steve Keen uses proprietary numbers issued by the OECD – which is supposed to be on Germany’s side?! – to show how dramatically austerity has failed in Europe- that is, if the recovery of the Greek and Spanish economies was ever the real target. It certainly failed the populations of the countries.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Austerity was never meant to improve the lives of the people. It was designed to loot the people to make the private central bankers richer than they already are!

Why the Free and Open Internet Is Never Going to Die

Oh well. I guess it’s time to pack it up guys. We had a really nice run, but I guess the bad guys won. The Internet as we know it dead. Hammer the last nail and shovel in the dirt. We’ll just have to go back to watching CNN and shopping at Walmart.

I’m kidding of course. Put the noose down and listen up folks. The free Internet isn’t going to disappear. It’s just going underground. Even in countries like China, dissidents and businessmen have found some pretty creative ways to work around their government’s strict censorship of the Internet. And people of Cuba have gone so far as to build their own Internet infrastructure, separate from the government’s overpriced service. Even Mexico’s drug cartels have built a sprawling clandestine communication system that allow them to evade and spy on the authorities.

David Cole: Holocaust is based on fakes, frauds, and forgeries

David Cole is not an “anti-Semite” or “revisionist”. He is ardently pro-Zionist, pro-Israel Jew. He is author of book Republican Party Animal. In his latest article, entitled Justifying My Existence, published at TAKI’s Magazine on February 17, 2015, he wrote: I attempt to correct the historical record regarding the Holocaust, primarily by sniffing out and exposing fake artifacts and fraudulent or improperly-used documents.

In no other field are fakes, frauds, and forgeries tolerated as they are in Holocaust history. And in no other field are the people who try to sort the fakes from the facts so ruthlessly attacked and in many countries imprisoned, David Cole added.

How EU-US trade deal could thwart “boycott Israel” campaign

Two members of the US Congress have introduced a bill that would turn a giant trade deal between the EU and US into a devastating weapon against the people of Palestine and all those seeking justice alongside them. Together with the proposed Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) that is currently under negotiation, the proposed bill would compel all 28 EU member states to crack down on European groups participating in the growing movement of boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

In order to combat the increasing isolation of Israel in global public opinion, European governments would effectively be turned into police agents for the US state.

Guess Which "Liberal" State Has 500 Laws Aimed at Oppressing the Homeless?

Cities in the United States have a long history of criminalizing the public presence of people they consider undesirable. In the late 1800s, Southern cities established “sundown towns,” laws that restricted black people from being outside after sunset. Throughout the 19th century, cities ratified “ugly laws,” banning people who were diseased or deformed from being outside. During the Great Depression, California cities passed an “anti-Okie” law, making it illegal to assist poor people entering the state.

Today, society’s target is homeless people. Beginning in the 1980s when the federal government slashed the affordable housing budget, cities have enacted thousands of laws to criminalize basic human needs such as resting, sleeping, standing, and sitting, as well as acts like panhandling and food sharing.

Innocent College Student Subject to Restraining Order for Resembling Alleged Rapist

An innocent male student was reportedly banned from entering large areas of his liberal-arts school in Oregon after a female classmate accused him of slightly resembling a rapist she encountered months prior in another state.

According to Professor Janey Halley, who detailed the incident in an article for the Harvard Law Review, the unnamed male student was forced to abide by the restraining order despite being found innocent during an extensive school investigation.

“I recently assisted a young man who was subjected by administrators at his small liberal arts university in Oregon to a month-long investigation into all his campus relationships, seeking information about his possible sexual misconduct in them…” Halley wrote.

Calling the investigation “an immense invasion of his and his friends’ privacy,” Halley stated that the ensuing punishment resulted in the near-complete dismantling of his education at the college.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The feminists are trying to revive the rape hysteria of the 1990s to divide and conquer (and enslave) us again. This idea of issuing a restraining order against a man simply because he resembled a rapist shows the ludicrous lengths they will go to to push their agenda.

The Straw That Broke the Back of the American Economy

As many of you know, we have an $18 trillion dollar [official government] debt, a $240 trillion dollar [unofficial government] debt, a $200 trillion dollar consumer credit debt and we have the ultimate elephant in the room, the one quadrillion dollar derivatives debt. In a country that imports 20% of its food supply, it was reported yesterday by KTAR 92.3 FM (Phoenix) that massive amounts of food are rotting on ships waiting to be offloaded and the docks awaiting shipment.

We should be wondering how much more can the economy take? What will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back?

Shaken Baby Syndrome often just a cover story for children who are brain damaged by vaccines

Child abuse comes in many forms, and can result in serious and permanent health conditions such as Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), a type of brain damage that typically afflicts children younger than one-year-old. But the cause of such abuse is not always physical trauma as many experts claim -- pediatricians, doctors, and government officials routinely abuse children by injecting them with toxic vaccines, which are often the real cause of SBS and other brain damage-related conditions inappropriately blamed on physical abuse allegedly caused by parents and guardians.

The Murder Blanket

Esar Met insisted he was innocent but after repeated threats and menacing behavior from an FBI agent he agreed to say whatever he was told to say.

For most of the 'confession', the detective and FBI agent ask him a question and he gives an answer that makes it obvious he is not familiar with the crime. The predatory law enforcers then help him adapt his story so it fits the actual crime scene.

When the interview was wrapping up they were tired though.

In the video below the FBI agent asks him about the linens and he doesn't have much of an answer. Instead of coaxing him through a new story that would look good to the public and make him look guilty, they let it go.

As a result you will see next to nothing in the media about the fact that the bedsheets from the bedroom next to the crime scene were gone.

Or the fact that a large bloody plastic bag was found next to the body.

Europe Will Implement Both Border and Capital Controls in the Coming Months

This is not some idle conjecture. We know that the political elite in Europe are only too happy to ignore the rule of law whenever the crisis gets too out of hand. Indeed, this won’t even be the first time that this happens in the EU.

Back in March of 2012, when the EU Crisis first began to spin out of control, then Prime Minister of France Nicolas Sarkozy openly called for the renegotiation of the Schengen Treaty: the treaty that established the 26-nation EU as a “borderless” entity in which individuals could move from one country to another with little difficulty and which also made trade among EU members easier.

France was not alone either. A few months later, both France and Germany proposed imposing border controls in June of that same year.

So the EU is a union only for the bankers.

The report surfaces amidst fresh debate in Parliament over the Tories new anti-terror legislation and its potential use against groups involved in peaceful protest and legitimate dissent. The Harper government already has a proven track record for gathering intelligence on opponents of the oil sands.

Government In Action: The NSA’s Latest Attempt To Hack Your Computer

Sometimes I wonder just how bad the news about government spying can get. The answer was in my inbox this morning. I quickly ran out of superlatives: Awful. Terrible. Appalling. Dreadful.

The article in question reported that for most of the last two decades, the National Security Agency (NSA) has been deliberately infecting the “firmware” that runs most common hard drives, including those made by Seagate, Western Digital, IBM, Toshiba, Samsung and Maxtor. There’s a 99% chance that the computer you’re using has one of those in it. Mine has four.

White House Overhypes Obamacare Enrollment, Again

Yesterday evening, not long after the official (but not actual) end of Obamacare’s open enrollment period, the White House Twitter feed posted some breaking news: “About 11.4 million Americans are signed up for private health coverage,” the tweet said, posting the information with the hashtag #ACAWorks.

It is in some ways remarkable that the White House can provide this information so quickly. Not because the information should be hard to collect, but because other similar information often eludes the administration.

As Bloomberg News health care reporter Alex Wayne noted on Twitter earlier today during a Q&A session with Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Matthews Burwell, the administration "still can’t tell us how many people were enrolled in Obamacare at the end of 2014."

In Whose America?

If ever there was a system in need of “reform,” this was it. And yet the NSA has successfully outlasted the long Snowden moment without a single thing being walked back, not even the most shocking revelation for Americans: that the agency was gathering and storing their bulk phone “metadata.” A year ago, a presidential advisory board on privacy concluded that the bulk data collection was “illegal and unproductive” and recommended changes. None have yet taken place. “Reform” efforts on the NSA collapsed in Congress even before the Republicans took the Senate. As with the police, so the president has announced minor “tweaks” to the system of data collection and it’s marching right on.

In Fairfax, Va., a different, no-less-scary police shooting

White privilege didn't protect John Geer.

That's not to say he didn't have it. As a middle-class kitchen designer living in the pleasant Washington suburb of Fairfax, Va., he had nothing whatsoever in common with the impoverished black men killed by police in Missouri and Brooklyn last year.

Those deaths triggered riots, marches and demonstrations across America, and interventions by the White House.

But Geer, pierced 18 months ago by a police bullet as he stood inside the screen door of his own home, his hands raised, begging not to be shot, simply disappeared into the emotional mixing bowl of American news and political priorities.

That should not have happened. The killing of John Geer is probably the clearest and most compelling example of what amounts to police impunity in recent American history.

NSA hid spying software in hard drive firmware, report says

The U.S. National Security Agency has figured out how to hide spying software deep within hard drives made by Western Digital, Seagate, Toshiba and other top manufacturers, giving the agency the means to eavesdrop on the majority of the world's computers, according to cyber researchers and former operatives.

That long-sought and closely guarded ability was part of a cluster of spying programs discovered by Kaspersky Lab, the Moscow-based security software maker that has exposed a series of Western cyberespionage operations.

Kaspersky said it found personal computers in 30 countries infected with one or more of the spying programs, with the most infections seen in Iran, followed by Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Mali, Syria, Yemen and Algeria. The targets included government and military institutions, telecommunication companies, banks, energy companies, nuclear researchers, media, and Islamic activists, Kaspersky said.

Global economy continues to wither as West Coast ports remain shut down

In a blog post on his website, Dave Hodges -- host of The Common Sense Show -- notes that economic indices are bottoming out and that's in large part due to a proposed agreement called the Trans-Pacific Partnership, which the Electronic Freedom Foundation describes as "a secretive, multinational trade agreement that threatens to extend restrictive intellectual property (IP) laws across the globe and rewrite international rules on its enforcement."

The forces behind the agreement, notes Hodges, have used their influence to stall delivery of critically important commodities until it is fully implemented among member nations.

Witnesses against death row grandmother admit they lied following threats from prosecutors

Key witnesses against a British grandmother on death row in Texas have said that prosecutors in her 2002 trial threatened or ‘blackmailed’ them into testifying against her.

Among them is the only person who claimed to have seen Linda Carty (56) carry out the murder of Joanna Rodriguez, who has now admitted that Texan District Attorneys (DAs) “threatened me and intimidated me” into identifying Ms Carty as the culprit. Christopher Robinson, who was the key to the prosecution case, admits that he never saw Ms Carty kill anyone and his testimony to this extent at trial was a lie.

Mr Robinson has signed an affidavit, filed in September 2014, in which he testifies that prosecutors “told me I had to testify at Linda’s trial to avoid the death penalty, and they made it clear what it was I had to say.” Mr Robinson adds that they “[told] me I would get the death penalty myself if Linda Carty did not get the death penalty.”

FBI informant busted in Key West cops to charges, tries to explain actions

A child rapist turned FBI informant who was arrested in Key West for fraudulent use of a credit card and failing to register as a sex offender has struck a plea deal with Monroe County prosecutors.

Robert Childs, 39, has been out of jail and back on the streets of Key West since Jan. 28. Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show he has a temporary address at the Keys Overnight Temporary Shelter on College Road in Stock Island.

Childs pleaded guilty on Jan. 27 to fraudulent use of a credit card and no contest to failing to register as a sex offender. The leaders of three of the nation’s leading tech companies won’t attend a White House cybersecurity summit in California on Friday, according to media reports.

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Google executives Larry Page and Eric Schmidt will not attend the event, which will be held at Stanford University.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am hardly surprised. The revelation of the NSA's backdoors has shaved billions from the profits of their companies and their personal fortunes. Being seen to cooperate will only make matters worse.

Documents Showing Foreign Troops to Run FEMA Camps Complete with Cemeteries and Crematoriums

It is laughable that some in the independent media are still in denial about the existence and true nature of concentration camps in America, commonly known as FEMA camps. The evidence is overwhelming and from certain documents we can ascertain how “detainees” will be captured and transported to these infamous FEMA camps.

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate, that from the government’s own documents, it is child’s play to demonstrate the nature of FEMA camps in terms of who is going to be running these camps.

Patriot Act 2: Obama Executive Order Will Promote Sharing Of Confidential Information With Corporations

In the aftermath of the Snowden whistleblowing scandal which has now all but been forgotten, there was a brief period when it seemed the growth of the US spying apparatus would be halted if not put into reverse. Those days are long forgotten and later today Obama is expected to to sign an executive order "that aims to make it easier for the government to share classified cyberthreat information with companies."

The spin, as proposed by the WSJ, is that "this will be effort designed to spur collaboration and deter hackers, the White House said." In reality what Obama's latest executive order will do, is expand the universe of entities that has access to the trove of private confidential data contained in the vast government spying apparatus, which as has been made all too clear now focuses as much on US citizens as it does on legitimate foreign threats, and further eviscerate the concept of individual privacy in the US.

NSA Spy Program So Secret Judge Can't Explain Why It Can't Be Challenged

Agreeing with the government, the court found that the plaintiffs lacked “standing” to challenge the constitutionality of the program because they could not prove that the surveillance occurred as plaintiffs’ alleged. Despite the judge’s finding that he could not adjudicate the standing issue without “risking exceptionally grave damage to national security,” he expressed frustration that he could not fully explain his analysis and reasoning because of the state secrets issue.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The Constitution belongs to We The People. It even says so right at the top of the document. We all have standing to challenge the Constitutionality of anything the government does, or the Constitution isn't worth the parchment it is written on!

Which according to this judge, seems to be the case!

Ottawa keeping secret details of secret terror watch with Five Eyes allies

A veil of secrecy has dropped around a series of immigration information-sharing agreements between Canada and its “Five Eyes” allies.

In Washington this week, Francis Taylor, Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis, informed a congressional committee that “with the Five Country Conference — which includes Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom — we have concluded immigration information sharing agreements that reduce the likelihood that a person applying for asylum or a visa in any of the five countries who has an illicit past could hide that history.”

Testifying about the threat of foreign fighters and homegrown terror, Taylor said in addition to those agreements, Washington has built ties with other allies to improve its ability to detect terror threats or returning foreign fighters.

An Ominous Wind This Way Blows

Our world seems to be at a tipping point. The ever encroaching police state, the fact that all financial markets, over the entire global, are rigged. Since when does the President come out and tell Congress that he needs omnipotent powers to continue to expand the wars of aggression? What next, maybe world war; cast a dragnet across the internet to begin scooping up owners of alternative news websites? Perhaps begin systemically killing the bankers in the back office with the codes and programs that run the derivatives markets and rig the equities markets? Or maybe journalist begin dying in questionable auto accidents or suicide. Where does it end?

Ukrainians Who Oppose Mobilization Are Now Considered Criminals

A rally against mobilization was due to take place on Sunday in Mariupol, when would-be participants were threatened with arrest by Ukraine Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko.

Addressing his followers on Facebook, Gerashchenko wrote that: “Everyone who comes tomorrow [Sunday Feb 8] to the meeting against mobilization will be detained for several hours for identification, fingerprinting and photographing and then released.”

Key words here are “detained”, “several hours”, “fingerprinting” and “photographing”—as if a simple identification procedure were not invasive enough.

While we're at it, let's not forget that there are democratic countries, like Britain, whose citizens still object to having to carry IDs with them.

Why Are The Feds Obsessed With Seizing These People's Old Trucks?

In a series of pre-dawn raids that morning in July, agents scoured the country for 40 Land Rovers in an ongoing civil forfeiture case. All of them were older; all of them were the rugged Defender models; and all of them had originated outside the U.S. and were imported here in the last few years by the same man — but in a way that authorities say may have violated America's strict car import laws.

Facebook Blocks Native American Users for Having 'Fake' Names

Facebook is having a problem with names again. This time, the social media platform is accused of forcing native peoples to use fake names that sound more “American" (oh, the irony!), and in some cases, kicking them off the network for having names Facebook doesn't perceive as sounding real.

Colorlines cites the case of Dana Lone Hill, a Lakota woman whose account was suspended when Facebook mistook her real name for a made-up one.

Obama’s Force Authorization is a Blank Check for War Worldwide

Even if our policies led to no boots on the ground, the unintended consequences of blowback and the enemy obtaining more American weapons will continue. The CIA has said that 20,000 foreigners are on their way to Iraq and Syria to join the ISIS. Our government has no more credibility in telling us the truth about the facts that require us to expand our military presence in this region than Brian Williams. Constant war propaganda has proven too often to be our nemesis in supporting constant war promoted by the neoconservatives and the military industrial complex.

It’s my opinion that giving additional authority to wage war in the Middle East is a serious mistake. Instead, the authority granted in 2001 and 2002 should be repealed. A simple and correct solution would be for our elected officials to follow the rules regarding war laid out in the Constitution.

Stopping a Smart TV From Eavesdropping On You Could Be a Felony

To make matters worse, high-level users who want to take their smart TVs apart to see how they work or to attempt to disable or modify the underlying software—for example, to disable the eavesdropping software, or make modifications to make captions easier to read for the visually impaired—could face felony charges under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. That’s because most smart TVs on the market have taken technological measures to prevent users from accessing or modifying firmware in order to prevent illegal copying and distribution of copyrighted material. But users could technically face felony charges for circumventing lockdown restrictions—even if the modifications they’re trying to make are legal under copyright law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Soon, all televisions will have this wonderful "feature", which is very reminiscent of the "telescreen" in Orwell's 1984; you watched it, and it watched you.

ALL WARS ARE BANKERS' WARS!

"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The Bankers own the Earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create deposits, and with the flick of a pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all the fortunes like mine will disappear, and they ought to disappear, for this world would be a happier and better world to live in. But if you wish to remain slaves of the Bankers and pay for the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create deposits." -- Sir Josiah Stamp, President of the Bank of England in the 1920s, the second richest man in Britain

I know many people have a great deal of difficulty comprehending just how many wars are started for no other purpose than to force private central banks onto nations, so let me share a few examples, so that you understand why the US Government is mired in so many wars against so many foreign nations. There is ample precedent for this.

Obama confounds Congress with vague Islamic State war powers request

Confidently declaring that the Islamic State “is going to lose,” President Obama on Wednesday asked Congress for broad yet intentionally vague war powers as he laid the foundation for a three-year military campaign against the terrorist group that ultimately could involve U.S. ground troops.

By leaving a host of unanswered questions with its authorization for use of military force, called AUMF on Capitol Hill, the White House is placing a significant burden on congressional leaders who now must hammer out the details.

‘Politicians can't be trusted to clean up HSBC’: Govt revenue chiefs grilled over tax evasion scandal

Top UK tax officials were probed by MPs on Wednesday over the recent tax evasion scandal that has engulfed British banking giant HSBC. Labour MP Austin Mitchel said Britain’s tax avoidance industry has eclipsed its tax collection industry.

Amid global controversy over HSBC's alleged involvement in industrial scale tax evasion, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) was questioned by Britain’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC).

On Sunday, it emerged HSBC's Swiss private banking arm had aided royalty, criminals, terrorists, and drug dealers in dodging taxes.

A colossal cache of files leaked to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) shed light on the banking giant's clandestine practices between 2005 and 2007. During this period, HSBC's Swiss private banking arm controlled roughly $100 billion in assets.

Files disclosing the bank’s suspect actions were leaked to HMRC in 2010.

RANT: ‘Benefit Cheats’ RAIDED While HSBC Assists Terrorists?!

Yesterday, I covered a story that exposed HSBC as working with terrorists, royals, drug barons and celebrities to help them avoid paying taxes. Canadians Sued The Bank Of Canada & Won. Mainstream Media & Government Blacks Out Story

Recently, constitutional lawyer Rocco Galati won yet another round of appeals set forth by the Bank of Canada in a case involving two Canadians who filed an action in federal court to restore The Bank of Canada to its original purpose and operations. This is a very significant story but you probably haven’t heard of it. Why? Obama slams Staples, corporations for Obamacare-tied cuts: ‘Shame on them’

President Obama didn’t take kindly to Staples executives who slashed worker hours due to what they said was the need to curtail expense related to Obamacare, saying such corporations can “well afford” to pay.

Webmaster's Commentary:

No, we CAN'T! American businesses were already hovering at the edge of collapse before ACA and the higher costs will and are driving many of them over that edge into bankruptcy and closure. Add the the fact that the Obamacare-compliant health insurance isn't worth the paper it is on which means Americans who have been forced to buy those policies are being driven into bankruptcy by the unpaid portions of their medical bills!

Stripping a Professor of Tenure Over a Blog Post

Professor John McAdams is being stripped of tenure by Marquette University for writing a blog post that administrators characterize as inaccurate and irresponsible.

Academics all over the United States ought to denounce the firing of the 69-year-old, a Harvard Ph.D. who taught courses on American politics and public policy. If tenure can be taken away based upon one controversial blog post, what protection does it offer? How many tenured professors will censor themselves from participating in public conversation to avoid a similar fate? Marquette has violated core academic values, regardless of what one thinks of McAdams' commentary or the shabby treatment of the graduate instructor he was criticizing (who deserves sympathy for the horrifying torrent of misogyny others directed at her).

Fed mobilizes against Rand Paul's audit legislation

The Federal Reserve is mobilizing against Sen. Rand Paul's increasingly popular effort to audit the central bank.

“This is about interfering with the making of monetary policy. I respect the gentleman from Kentucky, but he’s wrong,” said Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas President Richard Fisher on Fox Business Monday evening.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Under the Constitution, only the government has the authority to make monetary policy, not a privately-owned central bank. And because the Constitution does not authorize the delegation of transfer of such authority, it would require a Constitutional amendment to do so. The federal Reserve is hence unconstitutional and the deb owed by the American people to the private central bankers is null and void.

Obama still argues that we can't have transparency or the terrorists will win

The Obama administration, self-described Most Transparent Administration in History™, is currently engaged in a multi-pronged legal battle to prevent an iota more transparency related to illegal torture. If there was any lingering hopes that the President might use the last two years of his final term in office to bring some accountability to the despicable actions of the CIA or the US military, it appears that he will instead continue to use the power of the office to fight to keep them hidden.

Later today, the government will showcase its latest suppression effort, as the Justice Department will urge a federal judge in New York to keep secret hundreds of photos of torture from Abu Ghraib prison from almost a decade ago. President Obama once promised to release the photos, only to reverse himself months after coming into office – and he’s since been fighting for years to keep them secret.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Imagine my (absence of) surprise here.

History will ultimately judge President Obama as one of the most profound disappointments of American leadership in the 21st century.

And despite his faux populist persona, he is no less a slave to the global corporate and banking institutions than are his Republican counterparts.

It doesn't matter any more which of the two parties gets elected nationally; what wins is more corporate wealth; more personal wealth inequality; and more wars.

TSA Demands Internal Passport for Domestic Travel

Precedents exist for requiring citizens to produce special ID for domestic travel; they include Nazi Germany, apartheid South Africa and Russia (both Imperial and Soviet).

Over the Christmas season, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) quietly announced that America was walking down that path. By 2016, all domestic air travel will require either a traditional passport or a federally-compliant ID card called "Real ID." State driver's licenses will no longer allow Americans access to domestic flights, as they do now. Real ID will constitute an internal passport.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The courts have repeatedly ruled that travel is a Constitutional right that may not be infringed on. U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens in Saenz v. Roe, 526 U.S. 489 (1999) held that the United States Constitution protected three separate aspects of the right to travel among the states: the right to enter one state and leave another, the right to be treated as a welcome visitor rather than a hostile stranger (protected by the "privileges and immunities" clause in Article IV, § 2). Having to have an internal passport is being treated as a hostile stranger!

Silver and Gold Truth Versus Fiat Lies

What do loss of confidence, loss of faith in financial systems, and pervasive lies have to do with gold and silver? The answer begins with: Gold is far more truthful money – central banks can’t print it or create it from “thin air.” Dollars, euros, yen and others are fiat currency units based on confidence and debt (not assets) and are supported by government mandates that these pieces of colored paper and computerized digits shall be accepted as money.

NY Times Changes Tune on Oil Price Drop Motive – NOW: Saudis (& USA) vs Russia

Those relying on the notoriously servile NY Times are now learning, several weeks late, that the recent drop in oil prices is likely politically motivated.

Mike Whitney reports (“The Fallujah Option for East Ukraine”):

Until this week, the mainstream media dismissed the idea that the Saudis were deliberately pushing down oil prices to hurt Russia. They said the Saudis were merely trying to retain “market share” by maintaining current production levels and letting prices fall naturally. But it was all bunkum as the New York Times finally admitted on Tuesday in an article titled: “Saudi Oil Is Seen as Lever to Pry Russian Support From Syria’s Assad”. Here’s a clip from the article:
