Banking Giant Tells Clients to Prepare for Government Collapse, Third General Election

Citigroup has warned clients that Theresa May’s position as prime minister is “unsustainable”, warning them to prepare for the government to collapse within a matter of months.

The multinational banking corporation believes the parliamentary majority which the prime minister secured through her deal with Ulster’s Democratic Unionist Party is “not comfortable enough for crunch votes”, according to a report in The Times.

“In our view, May’s premiership is not sustainable beyond a few months, perhaps a year at most, and will be under pressure in the face of contentious parliamentary votes from the very beginning,” they said.

Highlighting the “numerous opportunities for parliamentary rebellion” over Brexit, they suggested there could be a “harsh backlash” from what it describes as “the anti-EU British media” if her government gives way on items such as the 100-billion euro settlement demand.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Considering Citigroup's Eurocentric "vision", which is solidly anti-Brexit,no matter how it handicaps small businesses in Europe, this position is hardly surprising.

Washington Has Been At War For 16 Years: Why?

Paul Craig Roberts

For sixteen years the US has been at war in the Middle East and North Africa, running up trillions of dollars in expenses, committing untold war crimes, and sending millions of war refugees to burden Europe, while simultaneously claiming that Washington cannot afford its Social Security and Medicare obligations or to fund a national health service like every civilized country has.

Considering the enormous social needs that cannot be met because of the massive cost of these orchestrated wars, one would think that the American people would be asking questions about the purpose of these wars. What is being achieved at such enormous costs? Domestic needs are neglected so that the military/security complex can grow fat on war profits.

The lack of curiousity on the part of the American people, the media, and Congress about the purpose of these wars, which have been proven to be based entirely on lies, is extraordinary.

US-Backed Syrian Fighters Warn of Open Warfare with Turkish Forces

An official with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the coalition of US-backed militants with the stated goal of creating a secular, democratic, federalized Syria, said that the SDF sees a "big possibility of open, fierce confrontation" with Turkish forces in northwestern Syria. This comes after the two sides exchanged fire on Wednesday.

The senior official, Naser Haj Mansour, told Reuters that the SDF would confront the Turks "if they try to go beyond the known lines." Turkish forces are there to support anti-government, primarily Islamist Syrian rebels.

Mansour went on to say that a Turkish attack against SDF-controlled areas would do "great harm" to the SDF's efforts against Daesh. The two factions are currently embroiled in a struggle over the city of Raqqa, Daesh's primary stronghold in Syria.

the city, trapping Daesh within. "There is a plan to impose a complete siege, but if this will take a day or two days, I can't say," he said.

Trump’s Chaos is Covering for Stealth Escalation Overseas

The escalation directly contradicts Trump’s stances during the election campaign. Back then, he indicated his skepticism of regime change, claiming — falsely — that he had opposed the Iraq invasion and denouncing the intervention in Libya. He indicated that he saw no reason to take sides in the Syrian civil war, suggesting that perhaps the United States could join with Syria and its ally Russia to take out the Islamic State. He promised he would “bomb the s--- out of ISIS” but would not get bogged down in the Middle East. This stance appealed strongly to voters weary of war and looking for a leader who would focus on our challenges here at home. That promise has now clearly been trashed.

South Korea Leader Reverses Stance, Now Backs Trump Against North Korea

Arriving in the US on his first visit since his recent election, South Korea Moon Jae-in gave a talk at the Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia, dramatically reversing his previously stated position on North Korea diplomacy, and insisting that he now backs President Trump’s policy.

South Korea President Moon Jae-in
Moon has campaigned on a return to the Sunshine Policy of diplomacy with North Korea, trying to find common ground and reduce tensions. He also said that he thought it was important that South Korean leaders learn to say no to the United States.

Now, however, Moon insists he will stand united with President Trump on demanding the dismantlement of North Korea’s nuclear program, expressing hope it would eventually lead to peace across Northeast Asia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

WOW, that turnabout on Moon's part is giving me intellectual whiplash!!

I have to wonder; what in the world changed his mind so completely as to be thinking in this direction?!? (Or... did it "get changed" for him, with either various threats, or promises, from the US government?!?)

Mattis: Syria Fight Will Only Get More Complicated After Raqqa Is Captured

While US officials have for months been presenting the invasion of Raqqa as the end-all, be-all battle against ISIS, they’ve also been preparing the public for the idea of attacking the “next ISIS capital,” and so on. Secretary of Defense James Mattis was even more direct, predicting that the situation would be even more complex after the fall of Raqqa.

“You have to play this thing very carefully,” Mattis insisted, saying it would become harder and harder to keep the various factions fighting against ISIS from getting into “incidents” against one another, while talking of continued support for the Kurdish YPG.

The “incidents” in question have mostly been US warplanes attacking Shi’ite militias, and shooting down the occasional warplane or drone aligned with the Syrian government. Though the US has claimed they “welcome” Syrian offensives against ISIS, they’ve continued to attack them every time they get close.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Sec Def Mattis, a word, please: Russia's Sergei Ryabkovhas warned that any further US incursion military into the sovereign nation of Syria will have ...consequences.

Russia warns US its fighter jets are now potential target in Syria

I would like to politely point out that Russia has been invited by the Syrian government and military to get rid of the jihadists; military from the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America have not been invited to do so.

What the US government has done here, no matter the cloddishly clumsy spin about "fighting ISIS", has been to invade a sovereign country on a horrifically flimsy pretext, in order to attempt regime change in Damascus.

And yesterday, the US Ambassador to the UN made the following, breathtaking statement at the UN:

US envoy Nikki Haley: No place for Assad in post-ISIS Syria

Sir, what can that statement possibly mean except as a neon-orange, brightly blinking light, telegraphing that the US government is planning to create regime change in Damascus, coming close on the heels of ousting ISIS in Raqqa?!?

IS a war with Russia over Syria really worth it, in the larger scheme of things?!?

Ron Paul: Trump is Just Like CNN, Putting Out His Own False News to Start War in Syria

In a peculiar move, the White House announced Monday evening a chemical weapons attack in Syria will be carried out soon by the regime of Bashar al-Assad against civilians — the second government-launched attack on his own people in the past few months — and that the U.S. would pulverize Syrian forces as retribution.

Nato warns cyber attacks 'could trigger Article 5' as world reels from Ukraine hack

A cyber attack against any member state would trigger c - Nato's mutual defence clause - the alliance has warned after a massive computer hack paralysed government ministries and dozens of businesses in Ukraine before spreading around the world.

The latest global cyber attack is believed to have been designed to cause chaos rather than extort money. Ukrainian officials have pointed at Russia, which is fighting an undeclared war with Ukraine in the east of the country and has been blamed for previous cyber attacks on Kiev.

Jens Stoltenberg, the Nato secretary general, said alliance members agreed last year that a cyber attack could trigger Article 5 of the north Atlantic treaty in the same way as a conventional military assault and promised more help to Ukraine to bolster its own cyber defences.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Secretary General Stoltenberg, a word, please: I would strongly suggest that you actually find the offending national actor which put this virus into play, rather than flippantly blaming Russia for it, as NATO seems to do for everything else these days, as a prelude to your much-lusted-after war against it.

BREAKING: FBI AGENT INDICTED FOR LYING ABOUT THE KILLING OF LAVOY FINICUM

ate Tuesday evening, it was announced that an unnamed FBI agent involved in the killing of Robert “LaVoy” Finicum has been indicted. The agent is accused of lying about shooting at Finicum in 2016 when officers arrested the leaders of an occupation of a federal wildlife refuge in rural Oregon.

In March of 2016, it was announced that multiple FBI agents were under investigation for their role in the death of Finicum. For over a year, Finicum’s family has waited for answers, and on Tuesday night, they received a glimpse into the corruption surrounding the death of their beloved father and husband.

An FBI agent now faces allegations of making false statements with the intent of obstructing justice. According to reports, he is to be named on Wednesday.

TOP CANADIAN COURT PERMITS WORLDWIDE INTERNET CENSORSHIP

A country has the right to prevent the world’s Internet users from accessing information, Canada’s highest court ruled on Wednesday.
In a decision that has troubling implications for free expression online, the Supreme Court of Canada upheld a company’s effort to force Google to de-list entire domains and websites from its search index, effectively making them invisible to everyone using Google’s search engine

The case, Google v. Equustek, began when British Columbia-based Equustek Solutions accused Morgan Jack and others, known as the Datalink defendants, of selling counterfeit Equustek routers online. It claimed California-based Google facilitated access to the defendants’ sites. The defendants never appeared in court to challenge the claim, allowing default judgment against them, which meant Equustek effectively won without the court ever considering whether the claim was valid.

Paris ‘No Go Zones’ Where Migrants Terrorize Women Threaten its 2024 Olympics Bid

Paris’s aspiration to stage the Olympic Games in 2024 is under threat partly because of so-called ‘no go zones’ in the city where immigrants from Asia and Africa pester and abuse women.

Areas like Place de la Chapelle, formerly a quiet square behind the Gare du Nord train station, have been transformed in a short space of time into havens for immigrant rough sleepers and drug dealers which are said to be increasingly intimidating for many people, especially women.

According go the Sunday Times of London, since 2015 a huge influx of immigrants – mostly single men – have begun sleeping in parks, on the streets and under the arches of the Metro bridges in northeast Paris.

They have been accused of verbally abusing women in the streets, routinely shouting “Bitch” and “Dirty whore”. Street robbery and drug taking have also become rife.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I on the Olympics Organising Committee, Paris would not even be in the running for hosting the Olympics, because of these ongoing problems.

VATICAN'S FINANCE CHIEF, CARDINAL PELL, CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE SEX ASSAULTS

The Vatican's finance chief, Australia's highest ranking Roman Catholic and one of Pope Francis' most senior advisors, Cardinal George Pell, has been charged with multiple sex offenses by Australian police in the latest blow to the Vatican’s attempts to put decades of child sex abuse scandals behind it.

"Cardinal Pell is facing multiple charges in respect of historic sexual offenses," Victoria state police deputy commissioner Shane Patton said, following a police investigation that followed the same processes and procedures applied in other sex abuse cases.

Cardinal Pell has been summoned to appear in court in Melbourne on July 18 to face the charges, which relate to complaints made by more than one person, according to the FT. To attend the hearing the 76-year-old would have to return to Australia from Rome, where he has been tasked by the Pope with cleaning up the Vatican’s finances.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is an institutional mental illness in the Catholic Church, which leads to this kind of sick behaviour in its priests, who somehow believe that the cover of their robes gives them carte blanche to indulge in this without repercussions.

Thank heaven that in the 21st century, this is no longer the case.

Is the anti-Russian propaganda driven by ratings as Bonifield is reported to claim, or are ratings the neoconservatives and military/security complex’s cover for media disinformation that increases tensions between the superpowers and prepares the ground for nuclear war?

US FALSE FLAG THREATS AGAINST SYRIA DESIGNED TO PREVENT TRUMP/PUTIN MEETING

In just over a week, the G20 summit of nations is to convene in Germany.

This will be the first time that Donald Trump and President Putin will have been in the same room and many are suggesting that the two will meet on the sidelines of the main summit as world-leaders often do at such events.

Many in the generally unreliable western mainstream media are suggesting that Donald Trump is keen to meet Vladimir Putin at the G20 but that some US advisers to POTUS do not want the meeting to happen. It must be made clear that such reports are totally uncorroborated and are coming from sources such as Britain’s notoriously inaccurate and dishonest Independent.

Webmaster's Commentary:

At this moment, the Trump Administration appears to be badly factionalised, and it does not appear that President Trump is fully in control of America's foreign policy; that needs to change, and quickly.

But if I could, for one moment, have President Trump's ear, I would tell him this; your meeting with Russia's President Putin at the G-20 in Hamburg is critical for peace in this world.

Without this meeting, the US government and military may well continue to slouch toward war with Russia over Syria, and this would be an even worse military misadventure than has been Afghanistan.

And President Trump, please know this; although President Putin may use a translator, his English is perfect; he will understand every nuance of every word you say to him even without it being translated into Russian.

TIGERSWAN FACES LAWSUIT OVER UNLICENSED SECURITY OPERATIONS IN NORTH DAKOTA

TigerSwan, the private company behind a monthslong, multi-state surveillance operation targeting opponents of the Dakota Access Pipeline, illegally provided security and investigative services to the pipeline’s parent company, Energy Transfer Partners, despite being denied a license to do so, a new civil lawsuit alleges.

Even after oil began to flow through the contested pipeline, and long after the crowded Dakota Access resistance camps gave way once again to empty prairie, TigerSwan continued its unlicensed security operations in North Dakota.

The allegations are part of a lawsuit the North Dakota Private Investigation and Security Board filed against TigerSwan and its founder James Reese on Tuesday. Violating the license law is a class B misdemeanor in North Dakota, though local prosecutors have not filed criminal charges.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oil producers in this country believe they are completely above the law, in light of the reality that their work creates the "black gold" which powers this country, and much of the world.

Unfortunately, the Tribal Elders who complained, nearly prophetically, that the Dakota Access Pipeline was going to foul the land and water, proved correct here, as reported by businessinsider.com on 23 May of this year:

Trump’s Chaos is Covering for Stealth Escalation Overseas by

Been trying to tell you folks. Opposition to Trump and the resulting chaos and confusion is being used to set the stage for WW3!

While Washington is fixated on President Trump’s tweets, antics, lies and Russiagate, the administration is ramping up a stealth escalation of our military involvement across the Middle East. As Naomi Klein warns, Trump’s “rolling shock of the chaos and spectacle” distracts from radical actions both at home and abroad. Across the Middle East, the administration drives the United States ever further into wars without end, increasing the dangers of direct military confrontation with Russia and Iran, with little awareness and no mandate from the American people. This is a recipe for calamity.

TEN BASIC FORMS OF FAKE NEWS USED BY MAJOR MEDIA

Webmaster's Commentary:

One of the things I detest about the "Common Core" curriculum is the suppression of critical thinking, allegedly, for the "common good" (i.e., the " good" of the corporations, or the government, which want to "sell" us solutions for non-existent problems).

At that point, when critical thinking no longer exists, mass opinion can be manipulated in any geopolitical direction, such as the Bush-Era mantra that "Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction", as the excuse/lie to create war.

Please be very intellectually aware, in the next couple of weeks, because, looking at all the evidence, it appears that the Trump Administration is going to attempt to "sell" the American people on a ground war against Syria.

The Russian government has warned, in no uncertain terms, that an escalation of US meddling in the sovereign state of Syria will have ...consequences.
Russia warns US its fighter jets are now potential target in Syria

Unfortunately, just because something is the most ham-fistedly, pig-headedly stupid thing this government can do, is absolutely no guarantee that it won't do it.

Don't "duck and cover" during this period of time; please plan and prepare.

Three Chicago Cops Charged With Conspiracy to Cover Up Laquan McDonald Killing

That probe resulted in an indictment, unsealed Tuesday, that named Det. David March and officers Joseph Walsh and Thomas Gaffney as the leaders of a conspiracy to obstruct justice in the McDonald case. The conspiracy charge, as well as one of official misconduct, carry prison terms of up to five years. All three cops were expected to show up voluntarily for their July 10 arraignment. March and Walsh have resigned from the force. Gaffney will be suspended without pay, as is customary for officers under felony indictment, a department spokesman said.

URGENT: Unusual Flights of US Spying Planes over Syrian Coasts

The Arabic-language al-Mayadeen quoted well-informed sources as saying that a US navy's P-8A Poseidon spy plane has been spotted flying over Syria's coastal line along Eastern Mediterranean Sea.

The sources told al-Mayadeen that the US aerial operation to gather information along Syria's coastal regions has unusually increased in recent days, adding that unusual operation of the US reconnaissance flights show that the US army is paving the ground for carrying out a new move in the region.

The Spokesperson for the United States administration accused Syria of preparing to stage a chemical attack in the Arab country, threatening that Washington would make Damascus pay “a heavy price.”

    Webmaster's Commentary:

IF, in fact, these reports are true, the timing, and the increase, of these recon flights concerns me greatly, after the debacle of Trump and his minions accusing the Syrian government of wanting to do more chemical attacks against their own people.

I have to wonder if Trump, Mattis, and Tillerson are actually contemplating a decap strike against Damascus, coupled with an attempted regime change, and soon; such an act would be fraught with horrific risks, because Putin has declared that any such a move would mean that Russia would be at war with the United States.

Moscow warns Washington against ‘incendiary, provocative action’ in Syria

Moscow has warned the US against taking unilateral action in Syria, as there is no threat from the Syrian military, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said. The statement comes after the US accused Syria of preparing for a chemical attack, without giving any evidence.

Asked if Russia had warned the US administration against any unilateral action in Syria, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, Gennady Gatilov, replied that Russian officials have “always spoken about that, including in relation to their [US] latest strikes on Syrian armed forces.”

“We believe that it’s unacceptable and breaches Syria’s sovereignty, isn’t caused by any military need, and there is no threat to the US specialists from the Syrian Army. So it’s incendiary, provocative action,” Gatilov said, as cited by RIA Novosti.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

I would strongly suspect that those in the bowels of the American Deep State caught enough flak from literally telegraphing that they were going to create a false flag in Syria, to be blamed on Syria, Iran, and Russia, that it reluctantly backed down from doing so.

But don't think they won't try something else, and in the very near future, because the loyal Al-Assad military is winning the war against ISIS on the ground.

Brandon Smith: “Next Phase of Collapse Will Include the End of the Dollar as We Know It”

I have written on the subject of the Federal Reserve’s deliberate sabotage of the U.S. economy many times in the past. In fact, I even once referred to the Fed as an “economic suicide bomber.” I still believe the label fits perfectly, and the Fed’s recent actions I think directly confirm my accusations.

Back in 2015, when I predicted that the central bankers would shift gears dramatically into a program of consistent interest rate hikes and that they would begin cutting off stimulus to the U.S. financial sector and more specifically stock markets, almost no one wanted to hear it. The crowd-think at that time was that the Fed would inevitably move to negative interest rates, and that raising rates was simply “impossible.”

    Webmaster's Commentary:

There are many reasons why precious metals are frequently valued much more highly than a fiat currency; the metals keep their value over the years, while a paper fiat currency can collapse, overnight.

The End Of The (Petro)Dollar: What The Fed Doesn't Want You To Know

The United States’ ability to maintain its influence over the rest of the world has been slowly diminishing. Since the petrodollar was established in 1971, U.S. currency has monopolized international trade through oil deals with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and continuous military interventions. There is, however, growing opposition to the American standard, and it gained more support recently when several Gulf states suddenly blockaded Qatar, which they accused of funding terrorism.

Despite the mainstream narrative, there are several other reasons why Qatar is in the crosshairs. Over the past two years, it conducted over $86 billion worth of transactions in Chinese yuan and has signed other agreements with China that encourage further economic cooperation. Qatar also shares the world’s largest natural gas field with Iran, giving the two countries significant regional influence to expand their own trade deals.

Middle East At Point Of No Return As Saudi-Qatar Rift Deepens

At present, the Young Prince of Riyadh, Mohammed Bin Salman, has been given the key to power. This has happened at a very difficult time for not only the Kingdom, but also for the whole Gulf region and its neighbors. The choice made by King Salman to promote his son is a remarkable one but could, from a Saudi perspective, be the only viable choice. The need for a 180 degree change in the economic and social policy which keeps Saudi Arabia a strategic regional player is essential. Without radical changes, such as those presented in Vision 2030 or the Aramco IPO project, the Kingdom’s future could be bleak, as the era for “Rentier States” is over.

It Begins: WalMart Warns Truckers It Will No Longer Work With Them If They Move Goods For Amazon

The cold war between America's two largest retailers just turned hot.

In a note this morning from Deutsche Bank's freight and logistics analyst Amit Mehrotra, he notes that the "WMT vs. AMZN battle is heating up" and points to a report by DV Velocity, according to which a well respected transportation industry consultant told attendees of a logistics conference that Walmart (WMT) is telling trucking companies that it will no longer do business with them if they continue moving goods for Amazon (AMZN).

This follows similar reports citing WMT’s “request” for its tech partners to stop using Amazon Web Services.

The news, while suggestive perhaps of Walmart's growing desperation in its war with the retail juggernaut that is Amazon, has dramatic implications not only for the future of retail (and associated prices) but for one of the most important US industries: trucking, and the number of people it employees.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

SOMEONE in Walmart's legal department should have nixed this in the bud; it is tantamount to restraint of trade, and illegal.

Trump Plays Nuclear ‘Chicken’ with Putin Over Syria

U.S. President Donald Trump is playing a game of nuclear “chicken” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, regarding Putin’s threat on June 19th to go to war against the United States if the U.S. again shoots down, inside Syria — in the sovereign territory of the internationally-recognized-as-legal sovereign Syrian government — Syrian aircraft, or the aircraft of any of the foreign governments that have allied with Syria: Russia, Iran, and China.
After the U.S. had shot down a Syrian government plane on June 19th, which was bombing jihadists whom the U.S. government backs in order to overthrow the Syrian government, Russia announced:

“In areas where Russian aviation is conducting combat missions in the Syrian skies, any flying objects, including jets and unmanned aerial vehicles of the international coalition discovered west of the Euphrates River, will be followed by Russian air and ground defenses as air targets” — meaning ordered out, or else immediately shot down.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word please: I would suggest that you take this statement by Russia's President Putin as seriously as you would a heart attack.

The guy is not known for bluff or bluster, and if he says something, he will, inevitably, follow through.

I strongly encourage you to meet him in Hamburg for the G-20, and spend some time to get to know him; whatever chance of salvaging peace on this planet may well depend on it, Mr. President.

Thousands in Jerusalem protest abduction of Yemenite babies following disclosure some were experimented on

Over 2,000 Israeli Yemenite Jews and supporting activists gathered in Jerusalem last Wednesday to mark an annual day of awareness for what families say was a state-sponsored program to abduct Yemenite Jewish infants and other Israeli children born to parents who were recent immigrants from Arab countries.

Known as the Yemenite Children Affair, in the first decade after the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, there was a systematic kidnapping of newborn Yemenite children, carried out by Israeli hospitals and government institutions. Mothers, who often were in Israel for a short time and did not speak Hebrew, would enter hospitals or other state facilities to give birth. Once the child was born medical staff told the parents the child died unexpectedly. Yet none of the families were shown bodies or burial documents. Many of the families did not practice any mourning ceremonies because they believed their missing children were still alive.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This is officially horrendous; these families absolutely deserve answers, and to those who "experimented" on these children, believing that they were somehow "less than human"; Josef Mengele would have been proud!!

Tillerson and Mattis Cleaning Up Kushner’s Middle East Mess

But the single most important reason for the Qatar tilt is obvious to anyone who knows how to read a map. The U.S. leases the al-Udeid Air Base, southwest of Doha, which is home to the Air Force’s 379th Air Expeditionary Wing. The U.S. (and the Qataris), not only mount fighter-bombers from al-Udeid against ISIS units in Iraq and Syria, the base serves as the first line of defense against Iranian encroachments in the region. Even more crucially, al-Udeid not only protects America’s Persian Gulf allies, it protects Israel – and would be a launching point for U.S. aircraft against Iran were Israel to be attacked by the Islamic Republic.

Saudi Arabia Insists Qatar Demands Are ‘Non-Negotiable’

Suggestions from US officials that they’d like to see Qatar and Saudi Arabia negotiate over the list of demands the later has issued don’t appear to be going anywhere, with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubair insisting that the terms of the demands are non-negotiable.

“We made our point,” Jubeir insisted adding that the Qataris “know what they have to do” to placate the kingdom. Saudi Arabia have Qatar 13 demands and 10 days to accept them. The demands include shutting all Qatari media, closing diplomatic facilities in Iran, expelling Turkey from its Qatari base, and agreeing to pay unspecified “reparations” for past disagreements.

Qatari FM Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani suggested that didn’t matter at any rate, because Qatar considers the demands “baseless and unacceptable,” saying that any demands that would be taken seriously would need to be “realistic and enforceable.”

    Webmaster's Commentary:

President Trump, a word, please: apparently emboldened by your visit there, the Saudis feel as though they can get away with this, and no international repercussions (particularly from the United States) will happen if they move, militarily, against Qatar.

Once the deadline for the Saudi's "or else" is over (and I believe that will happen this Sunday, 2 July), all hell could break loose here, with Saudi Arabia moving against Qatar, which now has about 3,000 Turkish troops on their soil to defend it.

And sir, I have to ask; just what, please, are the standing orders to the commanders for the over 10,000 US troops stationed inside Qatar should such a scenario take place over this weekend, or next week?!?

Mattis: US Will Keep Arming Syrian Kurds After Raqqa Falls

In comments that are doubtless going to further anger Turkey about US policy in Syria, Defense Secretary James Mattis insisted the current program of arming the Kurdish YPG faction would not end after the capture of the ISIS capital city of Raqqa, and that they might just change the sort of weapons they’re giving the Kurds after that.

This comes less than a week after the US had assured the Turkish government that not only would the US stop arming the Kurds after the defeat of ISIS, but that they’d then take all the weapons back from the Kurds at that point. Mattis appeared to downplay the chances of this, however, saying only that “we’ll do what we can” to recover the arms.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Erdogan has to know that Mattis is powerless to prevent the Kurds from hanging on to those weapons.

Intel Behind Trump’s Syria Attack Questioned

The mainstream media is so hostile to challenges to its groupthinks that famed journalist Seymour Hersh had to take his take-down of President Trump’s April 6 attack on Syria to Germany, says ex-CIA analyst Ray McGovern.

Pentagon, State Dept ‘Clueless’ on Trump’s Assad Allegation

Last night, the White House issued a surprise statement accusing the Syrian government of preparing a chemical weapons attack and threatening to make them pay “a heavy price” for doing so. This immediately suggested another US attack on Syria was imminent. No one saw this coming, including the Pentagon and the State Department.

Pentagon officials say they were totally unaware if this putative evidence of a chemical attack until the moment the White House issued the statement, something they completely didn’t see coming. The State Department, which would normally be involved in coordinating such an important press release, also wasn’t consulted.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

I am very concerned about the next week or so, from the 4th of July celebration next Tuesday, through the G-20 summit in Hamburg, Germany on the 7th and 8th of next month.

I think we could very well see a false flag happen in this timeframe, to be blamed on Syria, as the "justification" for a full-on US invasion of the country, to achieve regime change in Damascus.

Of course, the White House's and Nikki Haley's charges bear two areas of intense scrutiny.

First, why would Al-Assad do something this stupid, i.e., a chemical attack against his own people, when his troops are actually winning on the ground?

And secondly, weren't Syria's chemical weapons destroyed several years back through a Russian-brokered, UN supervised program several years ago?!?

If, in fact, these accusations were a just "test run" to see how the American people would react to such an action, I would be willing to bet bet that the overnight polls were overwhelmingly negative.

Trump, Macron to pursue 'common response' in Syria

President Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron vowed to pursue a "common response" to the Assad regime in Syria in the event of another chemical weapons attack, the French government said Tuesday after the two leaders spoke.

"The purpose of the meeting was to prepare for the bilateral meeting of the two presidents during the G20 meeting in Hamburg on 7 and 8 July," the Elysee Palace said in a statement about the phone call between Trump and Macron.

"They also took stock of the Syrian issue and the need to work towards a common response to a chemical attack in Syria," the statement continued. "The two presidents spoke about the situation in the Gulf and the need to avoid any escalation in the region. Both stressed that the fight against terrorism and its financing is a common challenge for all the countries of the region."

China Suspends Fuel Sales To North Korea

Reuters reports that China National Petroleum Corp has suspended sales of fuel to North Korea over concerns the state-owned oil company won't get paid, as pressure mounts on Pyongyang to rein in its nuclear and missile programmes, three sources told Reuters.

China provides most of North Korea’s food and fuel imports. It has backed the Kim dynasty since the Korean War, in part to keep U.S. troops away from its border. While China has taken some steps on North Korea -- including halting coal purchases this year after Kim’s estranged half-brother was murdered in Malaysia -- its efforts haven’t produced a breakthrough so far.

Last Remaining Police Station in Migrant-Dominated Swedish Suburbs Forced to Close

The last remaining station in the troubled Järva area will most likely have to close, police sources have said, due to lack of staff.
The police station in Kista is the only one still open in the Järva area, in which lie the suburbs of Rinkeby, Tensta, and Husby — migrant-dominated neighbourhoods classed by Sweden’s National Police Operations Department (NOA) as “vulnerable”.

According to police sources, the move to close the station has already begun, and there are no plans for it to be reopened. Officers who work at Kista station will be moved to police headquarters in Solna.

Leading terror researcher Magnus Ranstorp called the decision to close Kista’s police station a “disaster”, tweeting, “They should open four more instead!”

California to list herbicide as cancer-causing; Monsanto vows fight

Glyphosate, an herbicide and the active ingredient in Monsanto Co's popular Roundup weed killer, will be added to California's list of chemicals known to cause cancer effective July 7, the state's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) said on Monday.

Monsanto vowed to continue its legal fight against the designation, required under a state law known as Proposition 65, and called the decision "unwarranted on the basis of science and the law."

The listing is the latest legal setback for the seeds and chemicals company, which has faced increasing litigation over glyphosate since the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer said that it is "probably carcinogenic" in a controversial ruling in 2015.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

California has been known from some very weird legislation in the last decade or so, but it is refreshing that their legislators are, finally, doing something which makes sense.

The Latest: Venezuela minister says chopper fired 15 shots

The Latest on a helicopter attack on Venezuela's Supreme Court. (all times local):

    11:40 p.m.

Venezuelan Information Minister Ernesto Villegas says that a stolen helicopter fired 15 shots against the Interior Ministry as a reception was taking place for 80 people. It then flew a short distance to the pro-government Supreme Court and launched what he said were four Israeli-made grenades of "Colombian origin," two of them against national guardsmen protecting the building.

Authorities said there were no injuries from Tuesday's attack and that the area was still being surveyed for damages. Villegas said security forces were being deployed to apprehend Perez, who the government of President Nicolas Maduro accused of working under the instructions of the CIA and the U.S. Embassy in Caracas.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

I would not doubt, for one moment, that elements of the CIA are working feverishly to topple Maduro.

Were I he right now, I would be doing a lot of due dilligence on what countries do not have extradition treaty with both Venezuela and the United States.

US May Be Preparing for 'Preemptive Strike' on Syria Amid Chemical Weapons Claim

The United States might be preparing for a "preemptive" attack on Syrian government troops as the White House warned of a possible chemical attack allegedly planned by Damascus, senior Russian lawmaker Konstantin Kosachev said Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, the White House claimed that Washington had identified "potential preparations" for a chemical attack by Syrian President Bashar Assad’s forces.

The Kremlin commented on the claims and said that it considers US' threats against Syrian legitimate leadership to be "unacceptable." Damascus also denied the information.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

I think the Russian analysis, presented here at sputniknews.com, is completely reasonable.

We are most likely looking at an horrific false flag operation, courtesy of the US military and various Us alphabet soup agencies in Syria, to be blamed on the Syrian government, as the justification for a full-scale invasion of Syria, in order to attempt regime change in Damascus.

But the questions I would have to ask about such a scenario are:

    1. Why would al-Assad do this when his troops are winning against ISIS on the Ground?!?

    2. Weren't Syria's chemical weapons completely destroyed under a Russian brokered, and UN-supervised program several years ago?!?

Of course, such an invasion most probably means war with Russia, but what does the American Deep State care about the good of We the People?!? The short answer is, absolutely nothing.

They have their elaborate bunkers, and top of the line survival gear in hand; the rest of us can just die of radiation sickness, and they won't give a damn.

This... is officially insane, and the fact that the US government collectively thinks, for one millisecond, that the American people would believe this codswallop, demonstrates that they have learned utterly nothing from having lied this country into the the military misadventures which are still with us, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Hersh’s new Syria revelations buried from view

Paradoxically, over the past decade, as social media has created a more democratic platform for information dissemination, the corporate media has grown ever more fearful of a truly independent figure like Hersh. The potential reach of his stories could now be enormously magnified by social media. As a result, he has been increasingly marginalised and his work denigrated. By denying him the credibility of a “respectable” mainstream platform, he can be dismissed for the first time in his career as a crank and charlatan. A purveyor of fake news.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Mr. Hersh, should you want to take us up on it, you would always be welcome to post your articles here at WRH.

Mike and I have a great deal of respect for your work, over the years, and understand, full well, the courage it takes not to ape the government's "party line" when there is a specific agenda they wish to accomplish, and the consequences of "not playing along", even when such an agenda is 100% fact free.

The Age of No Privacy: The Surveillance State Shifts Into High Gear

The government has become an expert in finding ways to sidestep what it considers “inconvenient laws” aimed at ensuring accountability and thereby bringing about government transparency and protecting citizen privacy.

Indeed, it has mastered the art of stealth maneuvers and end-runs around the Constitution.

It knows all too well how to hide its nefarious, covert, clandestine activities behind the classified language of national security and terrorism. And when that doesn’t suffice, it obfuscates, complicates, stymies or just plain bamboozles the public into remaining in the dark.

Case in point: the National Security Agency (NSA) has been diverting “Internet traffic, normally safeguarded by constitutional protections, overseas in order to conduct unrestrained data collection on Americans.”

It’s extraordinary rendition all over again, only this time it’s surveillance instead of torture being outsourced.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

The dictatorial powers of the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America, now knows no bounds, in terms of electronic communications, and has, for all intents and purposes, thoroughly nullified the 4th Amendment to the Constitution, preventing Americans from having to deal with unreasonable search and seizure.

House Spending Bill Threatens to Suspend Nuclear Treaty With Russia: Bill Also Funds Missiles Banned by the Treaty

Tensions between the US and Russia touch a lot of fronts, including the 1987 Intermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty. The treaty forbids the development of intermediate range conventional and nuclear missiles, and there have been allegations one of the missiles tested by Russia is in violation of this treaty.

Intermediate Nuclear Forces Treaty signed in 1987
Russia has denied this is the case, but the House of Representatives appears uninterested in arguing the point, instead adding multiple lines to the nearly $700 billion military spending bill that was advanced in committee today, threatening to withdraw the US from the treaty, and funding US development of missiles that would deliberately violate it.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This ... is an officially insane idea, and more US governmental demonisation of Russia, as a prelude to some kind of an attack against it, either in Syria; Iran; or perhaps (God forbid) a direct attack against it by the NATO military which has been encircling it, geographically, for more than the last year or so.

Top Senator Blocks Gulf Arms Sales Over Qatar Crisis

While previous Senate efforts to limit US arms sales to Saudi Arabia over human rights concerns narrowly failed, Senate Foreign Affairs Committee chair Bob Corker (R – TN) has now withheld all consent for US arms sales to not just Saudi Arabia, but to the other Gulf Arab states, citing the ongoing Qatar crisis.

Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Egypt have all imposed a blockade on Qatar over the past several weeks, and have issued a long list of demands for Qatar to comply with as a condition for lifting it. Sen. Corker warned that this is undermining the ISIS war.

That’s been a concern from the beginning of the crisis, since the largest US military base in the Middle East is in Qatar, and much of the air war in Syria is based out of Qatar. So far,the Pentagon has insisted that hasn’t been impacted, but the longer the situation goes unresolved, the more likely it’s going to be a problem.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

I sense that this is just a small hiccup in President Trump's plans to sell billions in weapons to Saudi Arabia, as well as to other Middle Eastern "bastions of democracy" and will be overcome quickly.

Kremlin spokesman says Putin and Trump will meet in Hamburg

No specific decisions have been made yet concerning the upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump due in Hamburg, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This meeting cannot possibly come soon enough.

However, if President Trump is persuaded by his advisors to "stiff" Putin at the G-20, all hell could break loose in this world, in terms of a US war against Syria and Iran (which means, potentially, war with Russia) and I really would not like to see that happen.

Great recession fears as bankers warn next global crash could arrive 'with a vengeance'

A new financial crisis is brewing in the emerging economies and it could hit “with a vengeance”, an influential group of central bankers has warned.

Emerging markets such as China are showing the same signs that their economies are overheating as the US and the UK demonstrated before the financial crisis of 2007-08, according to the annual report of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).

Claudio Borio, the head of the BIS monetary and economic department, said a new recession could come “with a vengeance” and “the end may come to resemble more closely a financial boom gone wrong”.

The BIS, which is sometimes known as the central bank for central banks and counts Bank of England Governor Mark Carney among its members, warned of trouble ahead for the world economy.

It predicted that central banks would be forced to raise interest rates after years of record lows in order to combat inflation which will “smother” growth.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

IF you can, please get your credit card balances as low as you can, because I can see a massive interest hike coming out of any global economic crisis which might be coming.

FORMER CLINTON FOUNDATION DONORS FLOCKING TO THE MCCAIN INSTITUTE

In years past, the Clinton Foundation enjoyed significant donations from individuals and countries that sought to purchase influence in Washington. But now, the McCain Institute is their new darling, having received large sums from the likes of George Soros and Saudi Arabia.

With the Clinton Foundation standing at the heart of the many scandals that dogged Hillary Clinton’s failed 2016 presidential campaign, it was no small wonder that donations to her family’s controversial charity began to dry up soon after her loss last November. Just weeks after the election, donations to the foundation from foreign governments plummeted, some as much as 87 percent, while donations from the corporate sector dropped by 37 percent.

US-led coalition must stop ‘very dangerous game’ of sparing Al-Nusra in Syria – Lavrov

Russian FM Sergey Lavrov has accused the US-led anti-terrorist coalition of being reluctant to bomb positions of the former Al-Nusra Front in Syria, and has urged them to ditch "double standards" for the sake of an “uncompromising” fight against terrorism.

"There is a strong impression, based on our fight with terrorism in Syria, that the so-called Al-Nusra [Front], or whatever it is called now, is every time spared by the coalition forces headed by the United States and its allies," Lavrov said, speaking at a press conference in Moscow.

The foreign minister went on to say that "new evidence has emerged in the past few days" indicating that the US-led international forces continue "to take the heat off" the former Al-Qaeda offshoot in Syria.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Foreign Minister Lavrov, a word please.

Thinking Americans (who have utterly zero control over the foreign policy of the Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika) understand fully that the US government has been supporting ISIS all along, in order to effect regime change in Damascus.

Why is the US supporting ISIS in Syria while opposing it in Iraq?

Syria accuses Israel and the US of supporting ISIS

Russia, Turkey accuse the US of supporting ISIS in Syria

The US continues to support ISIS in Syria

    Al Assad is right:
the US Air Force is Supporting ISIS attacks in Syria and Iraq.

And today, the US Ambassador to the UN made the following, absolutely astonishingly stupid claim:

The White House announced late Monday that Syria may be planning another chemical weapons attack that “will likely result in the mass murder of civilians.” In a statement released on Monday night, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said the U.S. had found “potential” evidence that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was preparing to conduct an attack similar to the one carried out on April 4 that killed dozens of civilians, including children. “The United States has identified potential preparations for another chemical weapons attack by the Assad regime that would likely result in the mass murder of civilians, including innocent children,” the statement said. “The activities are similar to preparations the regime made before its April 4, 2017 chemical weapons attack.” “If … Mr. Assad conducts another mass murder attack using chemical weapons, he and his military will pay a heavy price,” the statement warned.

The article then went on to say: "United States ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley noted on Monday Assad's two main military backers, Russia and Iran, would share responsibility for any further attacks against Syrian civilians."

I am certain you noted the following article, written by the award-winning journalist, Seymour Hersh, who I respect highly, in which he stated the following:

Seymour Hersh: Trump Ignored Intelligence On Syrian Chemical Attack, Bombed Anyway

What we have here, Foreign Minister Lavrov, is an absolute recipe for global catastrophe, and a world war.

We have a smart, but highly impulsive, and highly naive President in Trump; unfortunately, he appears to have been completely absorbed by the American Deep State, since his inauguration.

The Deep State is looking for any excuse to start a war against Russia and China, to deflect the rise of the ruble and Chinese yuan away from the dollar, and use that war as a distraction, and potentially, the excuse, for the coming economic crash in this country.

So what Ambassador Haley and the White House are telegraphing, in these statements, is that they are willing to create a "false flag" in Syria, as a the "justification" for going in and attempting to create regime change in Damascus, then attempting to do it in Iran, which is desperately going to need your military backing to prevent this from happening.

That they think Americans are so utterly stupid as to swallow this codswallop whole, is an absolute insult. The American public are war-weary and war-skeptical, after the US government's horrific military misadventures in Afghanistan and Iraq.

So I really want someone in this administration to tell me, with a straight face, why Assad would even think about doing this now, when he is winning on the ground in Syria; and the short answer is, he wouldn't. And BTW, where are those chemical weapons Ambassador Haley alleges the Syrian government is just ITCHING to use?!?

Do I not remember Russia brokering a deal several years back, in which Syria destroyed all of its chemical weapons, under UN supervision?!?

The Destruction of Syria's chemical weapons

In short, Minister Lavrov, the Deep State of the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America is desperately attempting to "groom" the American public for another, horrific war, which the American people do not want, nor can they afford, at any level.

The future of the Syrian people...should belong to the Syrian people, and not some outside agency of forced regime change, to the supposed benefit of Israel and the US.

I am watching, in the most sang froid, analytical way, the massive uptick of the demonisation of Russia in the US corporate, presstitute media, in a way which is trying to paint your country as the most evil, rotten nation on the planet; again, sir, thinking Americans understand that this is not the case.

You, and President Putin, have been the "poster children" for rational, reasonable resolution of geopolitical differences between countries, and I laud both of you for that.

I truly wish... I could honestly say the same thing about the leadership of my country, but honestly cannot.

Shock Footage: Protester Shot Dead On Live TV During Venezuelan Riots: Mac Slavo

We’ve repeatedly warned our readers that a collapse of life as we know it in America would quickly devolve into violence, looting and outright anarchy. As the economic landscape in America deteriorates it is likely only a matter of time before millions of starving Americans make their way to the streets in protest. When that happens they’ll be met with a heavily armed response. It’ll start with tear gas and rubber bullets, but that won’t be enough to stave off the starving and hopeless masses, so we can fully expect real bullets to start flying in short order.

To see a real-world example of this one need only turn their attention to Venezuela, where the collapse of their currency has led to hyperinflation to the point that supplies of bare essentials like flour, meat, medicine and toilet paper are unavailable to the general population. The situation has been playing out for several years and it appears to be coming to a head.

“Regime Change” in the Philippines? The CIA’s Cloddish ISIS Attack on Duterte

The only word I find for it is cloddish. I refer to the latest CIA-instigated attempt to initiate regime change against outspoken Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. The so-called ISIS terror attack in the minerals-rich southern Philippines island of Mindanao, a predominately Muslim part of the mostly Christian nation of 100 million people, took place literally in the midst of President Duterte’s talks in Moscow with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Duterte Putin talks in turn followed Duterte’s attendance in Beijing on May 15 for the first New Silk Road or Belt Road Forum. America’s colonial asset since 1898 was clearly walking away from the Washington “reservation.”

Saudi Arabia Conducts Over 50 Air Raids on Yemen in Just 24 Hours

Saudi Arabia decided to honor the final day of Ramadan in typical Saudi fashion by conducting over 50 airstrikes on various Yemeni provinces in just 24 hours.
35 airstrikes were carried out in the province of Marib, slightly east of Sana’a. 14 airstrikes hit various districts of Hajjah province including Midi and Herad. They also carried out three raids in both Taiz and Sa’ada provinces.
Saudi warplanes dropping bombs over various areas of Yemen is certainly nothing new. In fact Yemenis have been living under airstrikes for over 800 days now. But for the past month, Saudi Arabia has drastically increased airstrikes in both numbers and locations.
Yemeni resistance forces have steadily fought back on the ground. Troops in Taiz have been fending off Saudi-backed mercenaries in various parts of Taiz. In northern provinces of Jizan, Najran, and Asir, Yemeni forces have managed to take-out many Saudi-backed troops, weapons facilities, and vehicles.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

These US-militarily-enabled bombings, against innocent civilians, are war crimes, pure and simple.

Images: Yemeni children dead and maimed for life, courtesy of Saudi bombings

The US collusion with Saudi Arabia in the commission of these war crimes is morally abhorrent, and reeks of failed US foreign policy, when most respected experts, writing on the issues of Yemen, insist that the only possible solution here is political, rather than military.

Yemen faces world's worst cholera outbreak - UN

Yemen is now facing the worst cholera outbreak anywhere in the world, the United Nations has warned.
A statement by UNICEF and the World Health Organization says the number of suspected cholera cases in the war-torn country has exceeded 200,000.
So far more than 1,300 people have died - one quarter of them children - with the death toll expected to rise.
The two UN agencies say they are doing everything they can to stop the outbreak from accelerating.
"We are now facing the worst cholera outbreak in the world," the statement says.
"In just two months, cholera has spread to almost every governorate of this war-torn country," it says, with an estimated 5,000 new cases every day.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

The Saudis, enabled by US troops, have blocked Yemeni ports, so no food can get in. Consequently, Yemeni children are dying from complications of malnutrition and disease.

Images: Yemeni children dying of malnutrition.

Malnutrition creates a marvelous breeding ground for disease:

Images: Yemeni children dying of cholera

And even though yesterday, Saudi Arabia pledged $67 million to address cholera in Yemen Saudi Arabia pledges 67 million to tackle cholera in Yemen, being the sanguine soul I am, I have to wonder if this aid is going to wind up treating only families supporting the ousted Al Hadi regime, as a way to "change loyalty" from the those supporting Houthi rebels.

Although cholera has been not yet been weaponised per say, it has been used as a weapon of war before. So one has to wonder: did Saudi Arabia deliberately contaminate Yemen's water resources, making sure that the cholera and other water-borne diseases would take hold, in order to "appear as Yemen's saviour", after inflicting horrific deaths from two plus years of bombing innocent civilians?!?

Does US have right to data on overseas servers? We’re about to find out

The Justice Department on Friday petitioned the US Supreme Court to step into an international legal thicket, one that asks whether US search warrants extend to data stored on foreign servers. The US government says it has the legal right, with a valid court warrant, to reach into the world's servers with the assistance of the tech sector, no matter where the data is stored.

    FURTHER READING
Court ruling stands: US has no right to seize data from world’s servers
The request for Supreme Court intervention concerns a 4-year-old legal battle between Microsoft and the US government over data stored on Dublin, Ireland servers. The US government has a valid warrant for the e-mail as part of a drug investigation. Microsoft balked at the warrant, and convinced a federal appeals court that US law does not apply to foreign data.

The government on Friday told the justices that US law allows it to get overseas data, and national security was at risk.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Just figure, every time you email, or post to a blog, no matter how innocuous, that the data will be scanned and saved by both this government, and the governments which enter into this reciprocity agreement; the right to privacy no longer exists in the Unhinged, Surveilled States of America.

TSA considers forcing airline passengers to remove books from carry-ons

The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) is reportedly testing new safety procedures that could require airline passengers to remove books from their carry-on bags when going through security lines, raising privacy concerns.

The Week reported that the TSA began testing the new security requirement for books and other paper products at airports in Missouri and California earlier this month. The new screening process could require passengers to remove all reading material and food from their carry-ons and place them in bins for screening, though the Wall Street Journal note changes have not been finalized.

Travelers already have to remove laptops from carry-on bags and place them in a separate bin. An early May test in Kansas City, Mo., had travelers remove all paper from their carry on bags, but it didn’t go well and was halted after a few days, the TSA told the Wall Street Journal.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This is not about safety; it is about the Thought Police, Gestapo-like, mentally ungifted thugs from TSA making an instant evaluation of your mental capabilities and geopolitical leanings, to determine if you should be a "person of interest" for the many "alphabet soup" agencies out there.

Looks like the 4th Amendment to the Constitution, protecting US citizens from unreasonable search and seizure of their property, has been bounced out on its ear by this government.

Syria warns Israel of 'dangerous repercussions for aggressive action'

Syrian army issues statement following IDF response to Syrian missile spillover, calling Israeli actions motivated 'a desperate attempt to boost morale' and warning 'Israeli enemy' of consequences.

The Syrian army warned Israel on Sunday of the "dangerous repercussions" of its "aggressive activities" after the IDF retaliated against spillover fire in the Golan Heights for the second day in a row.

After the Syrian army forces managed to thwart the wide-scale attack of terrorist al-Nusra … the Israeli enemy continued today to attack one of our military stations, in a desperate attempt to support terrorist organizations and boost their low morale," read a statement from the army of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Let's look at a map of the Israeli/Syrian border:

    Map: Israeli/Syrian Border

Now, let's take a look at the Map of Eretz Israel, or "Greater Israel", which many Zionists in the Israeli government want to bring to fruition:

Image: Eretz Israel, or greater Israel, stretching from the Tigris to the Euphrates Rivers

Notice that hunks of Syria; Lebanon; Egypt; Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, get gobbled up in this redrawing of borders in the Middle East?!?

In the military hot mess which characterises the wars in Syria, it is not impossible that Israel's civilian and military infrastructure saw their bombings in Syria as a calculated risk, to see how much of the country it could potentially "chew off", and declare its own, beyond the Golan Heights, before the dust settles.

And we see some confirmation of that possibility in the following article, posted on last Saturday, from the timesofisrael.com:

Liberman: The Assad Regime will Continue to Suffer the Consequences of their Attacks

I would like to hope that Russia's Putin and Lavrov are telling their Israeli counterparts, in no uncertain terms, that these bombings must stop, or else there will be consequences, courtesy of the Russian military.

I don't know how long Putin will put up with this kind of military nonsense from the IDF in Syria, but my hunch would be, not very long at all.

Are We in a Syrian Missile Crisis?

On Sunday, a U.S. F/A-18E "Super Hornet" fighter aircraft shot down a Syrian SU-22, a Russian-made fighter-bomber. On Monday, Russia issued an unprecedented warning to the United States: "Any aircraft, including planes and drones belonging to the international coalition, operating west of the River Euphrates, will be tracked by Russian anti-aircraft forces in the sky and on the ground and treated as targets."

NSA USES TRICK TO SPY ON AMERICANS

The government is spying on most Americans through our computers, phones, cars, buses, streetlights, at airports and on the street, via mobile scanners and drones, through our credit cards and smart meters, televisions, dolls, and in many other ways.

This week, ZDNet reported that the NSA uses a trick to get around the few flimsy American laws on spying … they shuttle internet traffic overseas so they can pretend they’re monitoring foreign communications:

A new analysis of documents leaked by whistleblower Edward Snowden details a highly classified technique that allows the National Security Agency to “deliberately divert” US internet traffic, normally safeguarded by constitutional protections, overseas in order to conduct unrestrained data collection on Americans.

CENTRAL BANKS BUYING STOCKS HAVE RIGGED US STOCK MARKET BEYOND RECOVERY

Central banks buying stocks are effectively nationalizing US corporations just to maintain the illusion that their “recovery” plan is working because they have become the banks that are too big to fail. At first, their novel entry into the stock market was only intended to rescue imperiled corporations, such as General Motors during the first plunge into the Great Recession, but recently their efforts have shifted to propping up the entire stock market via major purchases of the most healthy companies on the market.

Brian Rich, writing for Forbes, describes the economic illusion created by central banks buying stocks during a time of presidential prosecution:

Every single writer on the economy I respect has made the observation that we are headed for a severe market correction; the question is not if, but when.

HOW THE CIA-OPERATED A “DRUG SMUGGLING AIRLINE” FOR HEROIN & THE 9/11 CONNECTION

The CIA wasn’t just involved with the transportation of the drugs, however. The heroin was refined in a laboratory built at the CIA headquarters in Northern Laos. After about a decade of U.S. military intervention, SEA represented 70% of the world’s opium supplier. Unfortunately, many of the operatives became addicted to the heroin themselves. At the same time, SEA also became the main supplier of raw materials for the U.S. heroin industry. Though Air America apparently stopped operations in 1976, the CIA’s involvement in the opium and heroin industries continued in other parts of the world.

A List of Assassinated Leaders Who Had Opposed the Creation of Money “Ex Nihilo”

(Michael Rivero, who lives in Hawaii, created a video that would put a stop to war right now if people would watch it. It is called “All wars are bankers wars“. It is time now for everyone to give up their innocence and see what has been going on — namely, any leader who stood in the way of private central bankers, landed up being killed. Much of this article is a condensed adaptation.)

I had dinner with a banker last week. I tried to get him to explain how money was created — but he insisted that money was not printed out of thin air.

Then what about the Fed’s Quantitative Easing? I asked. But he had an answer for everything. I felt bamboozled.

Consider another banker, Sir Joseph Stamp. He was the President of the Bank of England in the 1920s, and the second richest man in Britain. He said:

“The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight of hand that was ever invented.“

House of Saudi Cards: The Inside Story

Just when geopolitical practitioners were betting on regime change in Qatar – orchestrated by a desperate House of Saud – regime change ended up happening in Riyadh, orchestrated by Warrior Prince, Destroyer of Yemen and Blockader of Qatar, Mohammad bin Salman (MBS).

Considering the impenetrability of that desert petrodollar family oligarchy impersonating a nation it’s up to a few foreigners granted access to make sense of the latest Arabian Game of Thrones. It also does not help that the “largesse” of Saudi – and Emirati – lobbies in Washington reduces virtually every think tank and hack in sight to abject sycophancy.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

It sounds as though the royal House of Saud is about to implode, but not before it does a great deal more regional damage than it has already done in Yemen, which has been viciously savage, and was very much the brain-child of Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

The Saudi/UAE "conditions" to which Qatar is supposed to accede by 2 July (one week from today" are untenable to both Qatar and Turkey, which has about 3,000 troops on the ground here, and a military base.

Week after next week is the 4th of July Independence Day holiday in the United States; if Prince Salman moves against Qatar militarily, my guess would be that it would be on or around that date, when Americans are distracted with 4th of July festivities.

And I have to wonder; should that happen, what are the standing orders which have been given to the commanders of nearly 10,000 US military personnel working in Qatar?!?

Yemen Now Faces 'The Worst Cholera Outbreak In The World,' U.N. Says

Seized by violence and teetering on the edge of famine, Yemen is grappling with another danger that threatens to outpace them both: cholera.

"We are now facing the worst cholera outbreak in the world," international health authorities said in a statement Saturday.

Anthony Lake, executive director of UNICEF, and Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organization, say that "more than 1,300 people have died — one quarter of them children — and the death toll is expected to rise."

They suspect that is because Yemen now has upwards of 200,000 cases to grapple with, and that number is growing quickly — by a rate of roughly 5,000 cases a day.

"And geographically, it is expanding," Mohamed El Montassir Hussein, Yemen director for the International Rescue Committee, told NPR's Jason Beaubien earlier this month. "It's not a small area. It's almost the whole country."

    Webmaster's Commentary:

What is interesting is what this article doesn't say; which is, that as a result of US-enabled, Saudi blockade of Yemen's ports, which means food cannot get it, Yemeni children are dying from complications of malnutrition.

Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition

The Saudis and their American backers are not idiots; they knew that by creating this massive state of malnutrition in Yemen's kids, they were deliberately creating a condition where diseases would thrive, and cholera took up their invitation.

Another possible answer to the question of how this epidemic got so out of control so quickly, is the deliberate poisoning of Yemeni water systems with this disease; it would not have been the first time, historically, this has happened:

During the closing stages of the Rhodesian Bush War, the Rhodesian government resorted to use chemical and biological warfare agents. Watercourses at several sites inside the Mozambique border were deliberately contaminated with cholera. These biological attacks had little impact on the fighting capability of ZANLA, but caused considerable distress to the local population. The Rhodesians also experimented with several other pathogens and toxins for use in their counterinsurgency. [67]

Collective punishment is a war crime, period, end of discussion; and yet, the Saudi, US-enabled genocide in Yemen, including the assassination of innocent civilians; the blockade of ports creating malnutrition deaths in Yemen's kids, the subsequent diseases, like cholera, and the used of depleted uranium weapons, and the subsequent birth defects; cancers; and still births, continues here, unabated.

Closing Bank Accounts: Israel’s New Policy to Displace Palestinians Out of Jerusalem

Israel is closing the bank accounts of Arab institutions in Jerusalem in an effort to displace Jerusalemites and force them out of the city, the Department of Jerusalem Affairs has said.

In a press release, the organisation said the Israeli occupation’s moves against social, cultural, educational, relief, housing, legal or engineering institutions were political and go hand in hand with the Israeli policy of collective punishment against the defenseless Palestinian civilians in order to Judaise the city by force.

Lily Allen: We Can’t Gaslight an Entire Community Like This… That’s What’s Happening

In the maelstrom that has followed the Grenfell Tower fire, it has fallen to a perhaps unlikely figure to speak up for the residents and ask searching questions of the authorities.

Lily Allen lives in the shadow of the tower block and witnessed the unfolding tragedy in the early hours of June 14. Since then, she has been a constant presence at the scene, helping the victims and attempting to understand their concerns, but also giving commentary on the relief efforts and exploring the reasons behind the disaster.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

To the people who managed Grenfell Tower, the people living there were simply ...expendable. Decisions could be made about building materials, like the very flammable cladding which were profoundly, amazingly stupid, and short sighted.

The investigation here should be criminal in nature, not civil, and those people who willingly, and knowingly, made these decisions punished, severely, and the people of the UK should never have to live in unsafe housing again.

Lily Allen is a heroine to me, and I am sure, to many of those who had families, now lost, from this horrendous fire.

Trump’s Policy Is Clear: Civilian Casualties Don’t Matter in the War on Terror

? ecent news reports describe a massive increase in civilian casualties at the hands of the US military or US allies. In Mosul, Iraq, hundreds of residents have been killed as US forces join Iraqi troops in the last stage of their assault on the ISIS-held city. In Yemen, the United States is increasing its direct involvement in the Saudi-led air war being waged against the poorest country in the Arab world, as the UN and other aid workers struggle against mass famine and a looming cholera epidemic on top of the thousands already killed and millions displaced. And in Raqqa, Syria, US air strikes and white-phosphorus munitions have led to what the UN calls “a staggering loss of life,” as Washington provides backup to Kurdish and Arab forces now besieging the ISIS stronghold.

“Rarely a day goes by now when we don’t see three or four civilian casualty incidents…around Raqqa....” —AirWars

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This... is what "collateral damage" looks like in Yemen, courtesy of US military-enabled Saudi genocide against Yemeni children, killed outright, or maimed for life:

Images: Yemeni children killed or maimed from life, courtesy of Saudi bombings.

And the reason I keep posting images like this is, that in Yemen and Iraq, the US government and military are partners in war crimes.

US-Led Airstrikes Killed 472 Civilians in Syria in the Past Month

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has issued a report today covering the civilian death toll of US-led coalition airstrikes in Syria over the past month, from May 23 to June 23, reporting at least 472 civilians, the largest in any 30-day period since the US started bombing Syria in 2014.

The attacks covered two provinces in Syria, with 222 civilians killed in Deir Ezzor, and the other 250 civilians killed in the Raqqa Province. Strikes against the area immediately surrounding Raqqa were nominally done in support of the Kurdish YPG’s advance on ISIS’ capital, the city of Raqqa.

In Deir Ezzor, much of the death toll was in airstrikes against buildings in the city of Mayadin, where huge numbers of civilian relatives of ISIS fighters were said to be killed, many of them young children. Over the two provinces, the Syrian Observatory counted 137 children killed in the US-led attacks.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights is a propaganda front, funded by the EU.

Document:The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights is a Propaganda Front funded by the EU

That being said, I would suspect that these numbers are very conservative, relative to the actual number of deaths created by US assaults in Syria.

Turkey to stop teaching Darwin’s theory of evolution in high schools

TURKEY will stop teaching Darwin’s theory of evolution in high schools, deeming it controversial and difficult to understand, a senior education official says.

Critics say President Tayyip Erdogan and the Islamist-rooted AK Party are undermining modern Turkey’s secular foundations by pushing a conservative agenda, including tighter regulation of alcohol and other restrictions, since coming to power in 2002.

A chapter entitled Beginning of Life and Evolution will be deleted from the standard biology textbooks used in schools and the material will be available only to students who go on to university studies from age 18 or 19, Alparslan Durmus, head of the national education board said in an online address this week.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Preparing For War? US House Wants To Create First New Military Branch Since 1947

There’s currently a push in the halls of Washington D.C., to establish a new branch of the military by 2019, one whose focus would be operations among the stars. Proposed legislation by House representatives would create a “Space Corps” that would serve “as a separate military service within the Department of the Air Force.”

It would be the first branch added to the military since 1947 when the Air Force was officially established.

On Tuesday, the top two lawmakers of the Strategic Forces Subcommittee, Representatives Mike Rogers and Jim Cooper, added the legislation to the 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). The subcommittee oversees military space operations and works within the umbrella of the House Armed Services Committee.

“There is bipartisan acknowledgement that the strategic advantages we derive from our national security space systems are eroding,” Rogers and Cooper said in a joint statement.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

TWO ITALIAN ZOMBIE BANKS TOPPLED FRIDAY NIGHT

When banks fail and regulators decide to liquidate them, it happens on Friday evening so that there is a weekend to clean up the mess. And this is what happened in Italy – with two banks!

It’s over for the two banks that have been prominent zombies in the Italian banking crisis: Veneto Banca and Banca Popolare di Vicenza, in northeastern Italy.

The banks have combined assets of €60 billion, a good part of which are toxic and no one wanted to touch them. They already received a bailout but more would have been required, and given the uncertainty and the messiness of their books, nothing was forthcoming, and the ECB which regulates them lost its patience.

In a tersely worded statement, the ECB’s office of Banking Supervision ordered the banks to be wound up because they “were failing or likely to fail as the two banks repeatedly breached supervisory capital requirements.”

FLIMSY EVIDENCE AND FRINGE SOURCES LAND PEOPLE ON SECRETIVE BANKING WATCHLIST

A CORPORATE DATABASE used by banks and other institutions to screen clients for crimes such as money laundering and terror financing has labeled dozens of U.S. citizens as connected to terrorism on the basis of outdated or unsubstantiated allegations. An analysis of a 2014 copy of the database, which is known as World-Check, also indicates that many thousands of people, including children, were listed on the basis of tenuous links to crime or to politically prominent persons.

The database relied on allegations stemming from right-wing Islamophobic websites to categorize under “terrorism” people and groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations, several mosques, and national and regional Islamic organizations.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

That databases like this can be used to smear people who are perfectly innocent of wrongdoing smacks of Orwellian wrong-doing on a ginormous scale.

There’s No Justice… In the US criminal justice system — Paul Craig Roberts

The criminalization of US citizens by the Injustice System is now one of America’s largest industries. Prisons have been privatized, and their inmates comprise cheap labor for Apple Computer and defense industries among many others. The United States of America not only has the highest percentage of its population in prison, it has the highest absolute number, substantially higher than “authoritarian China,” a country whose population is FOUR TIMES LARGER than the US but a country with fewer people in prison. -- That should tell Americans something. But they are too brainwashed to see it. The morons rush to the defense of the police, and they praise prosecutors for their wrongful convictions. In America, to be accused is to be guilty. Not even President Trump is safe from being falsely convicted by false charges and driven from office.

    IT’S THE BANKSTERS, STUPID

It’s something Americans should have figured out after the last financial crisis. The source of their misery stems from the policies of the Federal Reserve and international bankers. As usual, though, the establishment media has diverted attention elsewhere and the financial class of modern robber barons continues its pathological looting and will do so until the bottom falls out of the economy.

“While politics in the West reels from a decade of economic crisis and stagnation, asset prices continue to surge on the back of continued rapid growth in G3 QE,” writes Albert Edwards. “In an age of ‘radical uncertainty’ how long will it be before angry citizens tire of blaming an impotent political system for their ills and turn on the main culprits for their poverty—unelected and virtually unaccountable central bankers? I expect central bank independence will be (and should be) the next casualty of the current political turmoil.”

The Passing of the Pelosi Era

Prediction: Democrats will not go into the 2018 Congressional elections with San Fran Nan as the party's face and future. No way. As President Kennedy said, “Sometimes party loyalty asks too much.” -- Post-Trump, it is hard to see Republicans returning to NAFTA-GATT free-trade globalism, open borders, mass immigration or Bushite crusades for democracy. A cold realism about America's limited power and potential to change the world has settled in.

    No One’s Slaves

Our British cousins are unhappily discovering that the glamorous socialist/Marxist “nanny state,” so piously promoted by all the “beautiful people,” that they foolishly thought would bring about a utopian society where no one had to do any work, has cunningly enslaved them (as it always does, everywhere it has been tried), suffocating every vestige of individual initiative and personal dignity. They have been deceived, gullible victims of their own vanity, vice, and cowardice, and they know it!

Americans are ready to move on from Clinton fantasy scandals

Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her powerful friends in government have worked overtime to keep media and Congress focused on investigations into whether Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election. But America is ready to move on.

Why Hasn’t the CIA Been Abolished?

If Ron Paul were president, he would get the ball rolling immediately to abolish the CIA. That’s because he strongly disapproves of most of what the CIA does and has done in the past. He’d expend the time, energy and political costs to see the process through. He’d fight this fight with his heart in it. He’d take the risk.

Canary In The Coal Mine: Unfunded Liabilities Have Turned Illinois Into A “Banana Republic” On The Brink Of Bankruptcy

Illinois is the perfect example of what happens when your state is run by fiscally irresponsible dunces for decades. The state is buried debt, and hasn’t passed a budget in over 700 days. 100% of their monthly revenue is being consumed by court ordered payments, and the Illinois Department of Transportation has revealed that they may not be able to pay contractors (who are working on over 700 infrastructure projects) after July 1st if the state doesn’t pass a budget. To top it all off, the state’s credit rating is one step away from junk status, the lowest of any state. Because of these factors, Illinois may become the first state to declare bankruptcy since the Great Depression.

Governor Bruce Rauner has gone so far as to call his state a “banana republic.”

The state’s comptroller has admitted that “We are in massive crisis mode.”

Leaked Police Report: There Are 23 Muslim-Controlled “No Go Zones” In Sweden: Plagued With Violence, Sexual Assaults And Gun Crimes

Though European leaders and their US-based counterparts have vehemently denied their existence, a leaked report from the Swedish police confirms that there are at least 23 Muslim-controlled “No-Go Zones” and some 60 “vulnerable areas” where non-muslim citizens of the country can no longer visit safely.

As noted in the RT video below, the areas are plagued with violence, sexual assaults and gun crimes, and things have gotten so bad that police and emergency services personnel refuse to enter.

According to the Swedish National Police Commissioner:

We see developments in our country which are not always going in the right direction… We have more than 60 vulnerable areas in and around major cities in Sweden.. and we see criminality there and we need to turn around these developments in those areas… and we need the assistance of other parts of our society.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

This is the direct result of unvetted immigration, and why it cannot be allowed to continue further in this country.

Some US Airlines Are Testing Mandatory Facial Recognition Scans On Americans Flying Abroad

Just when you thought air travel couldn’t get any more invasive, authoritarian and downright miserable, the Department of Homeland Security and two U.S. carriers are determined to prove you wrong.

Yesterday, Harrison Rudolph, a law fellow at the Center on Privacy & Technology at Georgetown Law, wrote a very troubling article at Slate titled, DHS Is Starting to Scan Americans’ Faces Before They Get on International Flights. Here’s some of what we learned:

Decades ago, Congress mandated that federal authorities keep track of foreign nationals as they enter and leave the United States. If the government could record when every visitor stepped on and off of U.S. soil, so the thinking went, it could easily see whether a foreign national had overstayed a visa.

But in June of last year, without congressional authorization, and without consulting the public, the Department of Homeland Security started scanning the faces of Americans leaving the country, too.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

As the daughter of a very conscientious aircraft instrument mechanic (because I thought that everyone was just as diligent as was my late dad), I used to love to fly, when I was younger; now, being treated like livestock, poked, prodded and screamed at by the near-moronic maniacs at the TSA has made me absolutely hate flying.

The Passing Of The Pelosi Era

In the first round of the special election for the House seat in Georgia’s Sixth District, 30-year-old Jon Ossoff swept 48 percent. He more than doubled the vote of his closest GOP rival, Karen Handel.

A Peach State pickup for the Democrats and a huge humiliation for President Trump seemed at hand.

But in Tuesday’s final round, Ossoff, after the most costly House race in history, got 48 percent again, and lost. If Democratic donors are grabbing pitchforks, who can blame them?

And what was Karen Handel’s cutting issue?

Ossoff lived two miles outside the district and represented the values of the Democratic minority leader, whom he would vote to make the speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi of San Francisco.

The Pelosi factor has been a drag on Democrats in all four of the special elections the party has lost since Trump’s November triumph.

Saudi Reshuffle Could Completely Shake Up Oil Markets

The new crown prince is known to be a bit unpredictable. In the early phase of the oil price meltdown, he said that prices did not matter. But the plunge below $30 per barrel in early 2016 seemed to have changed the calculus. Last year Saudi Arabia became the principle driver behind a return to “market management,” that is restraining output to stabilize prices.

The IPO is another signature initiative of the young prince. He hopes to sell off 5 percent of Aramco, which he argues could raise around $100 billion (some analysts dispute that figure) in order to finance his Vision 2030, which calls for a diversification of the Saudi economy. The elevation of Mohammed bin Salman is being interpreted in some corners as an effort to accelerate this economic transformation. With low oil prices, a sizable budget deficit, large but dwindling cash reserves, and a restive and young population, time is of the essence.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

I hate the characterisation of war between Saudi Arabia and Iran as "inevitable", but in light of the fact that the US has now "thrown its hat in" with the House of Saud, courtesy of President Trump's recent visit to Riyadh, and his own virulently anti-Iran, pro-Israel stance, I am afraid that characterisation is absolutely correct.

Senate announces probe of Loretta Lynch behavior in 2016 election

The Senate Judiciary Committee has opened a probe into former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s efforts to shape the FBI’s investigation into 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, the committee’s chairman announced Friday.
In a letter to Ms. Lynch, the committee asks her to detail the depths of her involvement in the FBI’s investigation, including whether she ever assured Clinton confidantes that the probe wouldn’t “push too deeply into the matter.”
Fired FBI Director James B. Comey has said publicly that Ms. Lynch tried to shape the way he talked about the investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s emails, and he also hinted at other behavior “which I cannot talk about yet” that made him worried about Ms. Lynch’s ability to make impartial decisions.
Mr. Comey said that was one reason why he took it upon himself to buck Justice Department tradition and reveal his findings about Mrs. Clinton last year.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Lynch will most probably have to be subpoenaed, and may well not respond to it even if she is subpoenaed.

IF I were Charles Grassley right now, I would be preventing her from leaving the country to go to a country with which the US does not have an extradition treaty; because, were I a betting woman, I would almost bet on her doing something like that, and right the heck now!!

How the Government Conditions Citizens to Obey

Saudi Arabia vs Qatar: Middle East Controlled-Demolition Plan?

There is trouble in oil paradise.

Prince bin Salman has assumed complete control of the Saudi kingdom’s government apparatus. This is a sign that the Saudi hardliners, vis-a-vis the crisis they created with Qatar, have won the prelude of the battle. As Saudi Arabia’s minister of defense, bin Salman was the architect of the nasty war in Yemen, which until the split between the two nations, included Qatar. What happened to the beautiful friendship between the Saudi and the Qatari rulers? Its apex was the sponsorship of jihadists, first to topple Gaddafi in Libya, and their ultimate collaborative proxy-terrorism accomplishment was the creation of ISIS to wreck Iraq, and to topple Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Saudi Arabia has just given Qatar 10 days to accede to its demands, as of today's date:

Saudi Arabia gives Qatar 10 days to meet its demands to close down Al Jazeera, and cut ties with Iran.

Counting forward from today, this gives Qatar until the end of Sunday, 2 July to comply.

My best bet would be, that Saudi Arabia will move against Qatar on or about 4 July, when Americans are sedated with food, from the Independence Day holiday, and won't be paying attention.

But the question I have to ask is, what standing orders have the US commanders over those 10,000 troops stationed in Qatar been given in if that happens?!?

Turkish troops are already on the ground in Qatar, and doing exercises.

Turkish troops hold exercises in Qatar in show of support

As of the end of this 10 day period, all hell could break loose here, if in fact Saudi Prince Mohammed has green lit a Saudi invasion of Qatar.

    The Over-Criminalization of American Life

The over-criminalization of America has undermined justice, the rule of law and legal egalitarianism. While the corporate media devotes itself to sports, entertainment, dining out and the latest political kerfuffle, America has become the Over-Criminalization Capital of the World. The proliferation of laws and administrative regulations, federal, state and local, that carry criminal penalties has swollen into the tens of thousands.

US Recklessly Provoking Russia. The Unthinkable Could Happen by Accident or Design

Instead of fulfilling a campaign promise to improve bilateral relations, Trump so far continues acting provocatively.

He’s pursuing the same reckless agenda as Obama, pushing the envelope toward possible direct confrontation with Russia.

Despite neither country wanting war, unfolding events may cause the unthinkable to happen by accident or design.

Among major powers, Russia is the world’s leading peace and stability champion – America just the opposite.

It’s recklessly waging wars in multiple theaters, threatening conflicts against North Korea, Iran, and perhaps Russia the way things are going.
Madness defines US policy, state terror on a global scale, naked aggression its main expression, controlling planet earth, its resources and people its objective – risking potentially life-destroying nuclear war.
Last week, Senate members near unanimously imposed new illegal sanctions on Russia, including on its energy sector. House action awaits.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Looking at the geopolitical situation unfolding, many times, Mike and I are reminded of that archetypal dream of watching two trains, slowly heading for each other on the same track moving toward mutual destruction, but absolutely unable to stop it.

It is painfully clear to me, at this juncture in history, the the American Deep State is provoking Russia in every possible way, as a prelude toward war against it. The provocations are coming in our treatment of Russia itself; North Korea; Syria; and Iran.

As a Christian pacifist activist, who never advocates military action through which to resolve geopolitical conflicts, I am utterly appalled at how intensely President Trump has embraced war over true diplomacy in so many of the situations I am seeing developing which could very well spiral out of control.

I just see so many flash points coming up, that it feels as though war with Russia (and perhaps, also China) is imminent; it feels like less a question of if, but when, such a war will start.

The only thing I can do is to continue to bear witness, and counsel our readers/listeners to start prepping now, if they have not already started. A very good place to start is the subscription to Daisy Luther's "The Organic Prepper" newsletter. Yes, you will get some ads for goods and services here, but she is brilliantly and brutally astute, when it comes to the difference between surviving upheaval...or not.

US Foreign Policy, Global Hegemony, “Soft Power” and the Geopolitics of Eurasia

Henry Kissinger, one of the fundamental figures in creating and maintaining the US policy of global hegemonism during the Cold War[1], was quite clear and precise in his overviewing the issue of the American geopolitical position, national goals and foreign policy. His remarks can be summarized in the following points:
The US is an island off the shores of the large landmass of Eurasia.
The resources and population of Eurasia far exceed the resources and population of the US.
Any domination by any single state from Eurasia (either from the European or the Asian part) is a critical danger for the American geopolitical and geoeconomic aims as well as national interest regardless during or after the time of the Cold War.
A mortal danger for the US is formation of any political-military coalitions between the Euroasian great powers (primarily between the USSR/Russia and China) as such coalition would have a real capacity to outstrip both the US economy and military.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

But it looks as though the political/economic developments between members of BRIC and the SCO are changing this game, and quite concretely.

The economic reforms in China and Russia, coupled with their moving to embrace Europe, with trade and infrastructure, (like Xi Jinping's Silk Road project China pledges $124 billion for new Silk Road as champion of globalization) are leaving the USSA in the dust; this is why I am hearing so much demonisation of both countries, as though to prepare American citizens for wars against them, to stop the ascent of both the yuan, and the ruble.

George Orwell’s son says his father’s ‘1984’ was ‘prescient’

The audience at the opening night on Broadway of a new stage adaptation of George Orwell’s dystopian fantasy “1984” will include a special guest — the author’s son.

Richard Blair, whose father finished the book in 1949 when he was a young boy, was in New York on Thursday to cheer on the cast amid a huge jump in interest of his father’s nightmarish vison of the future.

“His novel ‘1984’ was his take on what could possibly happen — not necessarily will happen — but, as it turned out, it was really quite prescient,” said Blair. “Crickey, it’s still fresh today as it was then.”

Here Is The Reality Of Our Predicament: “The US System Is Going To Move Into The Next Phase Of Collapse Under Trump’s Watch”

Just after the US presidential election in 2016 I published an article titled ‘Order Out Of Chaos: Defeat Of The Left Comes With A Cost’, covering a rather difficult subject matter, namely the concept of “4th Generation Warfare” and how it is used by establishment elitists to defeat popular resistance to their agenda of centralization and globalization. 4th Gen tactics are confusing to many because most people think in terms of single movements and direct correlations; they think that a punch thrown is a punch intended to strike, rather than intended as a feint or misdirection.

Empty Book on Palestinian History Becomes Instant Best-seller on Amazon

The author's argument that the Palestinians are not a people because they are void of history isn't new - it's a mainstay of the Israeli right.

A book called "A History of the Palestinian People: From Ancient Times to the Modern Era" that went on sale on Amazon last week was the most sold book in the site's "Israel & Palestine History" category and the 543rd most sold book on the site.

The page for the book, which contains 132 blank pages, has since been removed from the site. It was not immediately clear if the page was removed by Amazon or the publisher.

Assaf Voll, the "author" of the book explained the motivations behind writing it to the religious radio station "Kol Hai": "The Palestinian people believe they are a people, and someone needs to tell them the truth even if it hurts. Look what happens when they were given the feeling that they are a real people."

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Vol understands, in a very Orwellian manner, that to control the future, one must be in control of the past, which in his case, means to completely erase Palestinian history in what is now contemporary Israel.

Palestinian historians, past and future, will not allow him that "luxury" of this lie, however.

OpinionWhy Is One Pro-Israel Group Desperate To Keep You From Watching This Video?

When it comes to Palestinians, the American Jewish establishment is in the ignorance business. The average American synagogue has never hosted a Palestinian speaker. The average “pro-Israel” activist has never read a book by a Palestinian author. The American Jewish philanthropists who fund Birthright send thousands of young American Jews to Israel each year, on a program that systematically excludes the voices of 50% of the people who live under Israeli control.

But that’s not the worst part. The worst part is that for major American Jewish organizations, ignorance is an export. It is not enough that American Jewish leaders never hear from Palestinians themselves — they do their best to ensure that American politicians don’t, either.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Please watch this video, and decide for yourselves.

There is one, carefully crafted image Israelis want you to see of their country; the other is the brutal reality with which Palestinians have to live every day, 24/7.

The images Saudi Arabia doesn't want you to see

Batool Ali is six years old, though you would never guess that from her huge, haunted eyes and emaciated frame. Ribs jutting out over her distended belly, Batool weighs less than 16 kilograms (35 pounds). She is one of nearly half a million children in Yemen suffering from severe malnutrition.

In another hospital, Ali Annhari sits with his daughter Isra in his lap. Her eyes are glazed, an IV drip in her hand. She is suffering from cholera.
"I am scared of course," Annhari says, "three of my children had cholera. Your children are your world. I have been eight months without a salary, so we are struggling and borrowing money ... the treatment is so expensive."

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Take a good, hard look at the images accompanying this article, and (something I rarely say), bravo to CNN for having had the "male attributes" to run it.

And please remember; the US government is enabling the Saudi genocide of children in Yemen. This genocide/assassination is taking many forms.

The Saudi military, under US military guidance, is bombing, killing, and maiming for life, Yemen's children:

Images: Yemeni children killed and maimed for life from Saudi bombings

Because, with US military aid, the Saudis are blockading Yemeni ports, so no food can get in, children are dying from complications of malnutrition:

Image: Yemeni child dying from malnutrition

Because malnutrition causes the body to shut down, and become prone to a host of diseases, cholera is sweeping through Yemen at this moment.

    images:
    Yemeni children dying from cholera

Oh, and did I mention that the Saudis are using banned depleted uranium weapons in Yemen?!?

Images: Saudis using depleted uranium in Yemen

These DU weapons are having precisely the same effect on Yemeni children as it had on the children in Fallujah, and still births, cancers, and massive deformities are now the "new normal" for Yemeni babies.

Image: Yemeni baby deformed from exposure to DU weapons

I frankly can thing of few more horrific child abuse...than poisoning a child in the womb, through exposure to DU weapons.

When you assassinate children, you assassinate the future of the country those kids come from; and this, precisely, is what the Saudi military, enabled by the Us military, is doing in Yemen. And remember; this is done with your tax dollars, and in your name as well.

Lavrov tells Tillerson attempts to exert pressure on Russia through sanctions pointlessMore:http://tass.com/politics/952926

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson that attempts to exert pressure on Moscow through sanctions were pointless, the Russian Foreign Minister said in a statement on Thursday.

Russia considers no counter-demands to US in response to Tillerson's plan
"While assessing the prospects for bilateral dialogue, Sergey Lavrov pointed out that attempts to exert pressure on Russia through sanctions were pointless, though Washington once again used this tool on June 20," the statement reads. "Such steps put Russian-US ties at serious risk, while bilateral relations are already going through a tough period," the Russian Foreign Ministry added.

The Russian top diplomat also stressed that Moscow expected Washington to respond to its proposals aimed at normalizing bilateral relations.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

What is even worse about these sanctions, is that the US has raised sanctions against Russia for something it never did, i.e., allegedly annexing Crimea.

And please, let's not forget here; the US was complicit in the overthrow of Yanukovich in Ukraine in 2014; Washington Was Behind Ukraine Coup: Obama admits that US “Brokered a Deal” in Support of “Regime Change”; Victoria Nuland publicly bragged about how much money the US government spent to destabilise Ukraine; The United States spent $5 billion on Ukraine anti-government riots; and when Crimean officials realised that there was no more legitimate government in Kiev, post putsch, it held a referendum to ask its people whether they wanted to stay with Ukraine, or join the Russian Federation. Crimea votes to join Russian Federation, 2014

At no time did Russia ever annex Crimea; Crimea, through the referendum process, petitioned the Russian Federation to become a member, and the Russian Federation accepted its membership request.

Washington, Beijing Put the Screws to Pyongyang with Renewed Sanctions

As part of an ever-intensifying effort to lean on North Korea’s nuclear program, China and the United States have agreed to further tighten sanctions on the Hermit Kingdom. Specifically, they are banning American and Chinese companies from doing business with North Korean industries.

For years, and particularly since the beginning of the most recent crisis, Washington has urged Beijing to put more pressure on Pyongyang, which heavily relies on China for imports and exports. Eighty-five percent of North Korea's imports in 2015 came from China, according to the Observatory of Economic Complexity.

For the most part, China has not done this. Until mid-April, they were importing far more coal from North Korea than allowed by the UN. According to the Japanese Nikkei Asian Review, China reduced coal imports in April but has also quadrupled iron imports since 2016 to make up for the loss.

    Webmaster's Commentary:

Fingers crossed here, that the pressure will yield dividends leading to a moratorium on North Korea's nuclear weapons program.
