Shares tumble and pound plummets as crisis looms for the Eurozone

Stock markets tumbled worldwide yesterday amid fears that crippling debt levels in southern Europe could destabilise the euro and derail economic recovery.

Portugal and Spain became the latest Eurozone countries to cause a panic among investors, as economists cast doubt on their ability to control their national debt.

With Greece already expected to need a bail-out of up to £16billion from the European Central Bank, there are real concerns that the Eurozone may become unviable in its present form.

Warning of Greek crisis spreading across EU

THE Greek debt crisis has spread to Spain and Portugal in a dangerous escalation as global markets test whether Europe is willing to shore up monetary union with muscle rather than mere words.

Julian Callow from Barclays Capital said the European Union might need to invoke emergency treaty powers to halt the contagion by issuing an EU guarantee for Greek debt. "If not contained, this could result in a 'Lehman-style' tsunami spreading across much of the EU," he said.

Credit default swaps measuring bankruptcy risk on Portuguese debt surged 28 basis points on Thursday to a record 222 on reports that Jose Socrates was about to resign as prime minister after failing to secure enough votes in parliament to carry out austerity measures.

Pro-Israel Lobbies Work on Europe

Defenders of Israel’s aggressive stance have for many years been recognised as a powerful force shaping United States foreign policy. A less well-known fact is that the pro-Israel lobby has been making a concerted effort to strengthen its presence in Europe.

Norway Pays Bitter Price for Mass Third World Immigration

The NRK report concluded that “not a single one of the offenders had a Western background. Four people have been arrested. In all other cases, the victims reported that the offenders either looked like non-Western immigrants, or they spoke a non-Western language. Not a single case has been connected to a Western man.”

According to official figures released in 2008, Third World immigration accounted for 25 percent of Oslo’s population. Data from the city and state statistics bureau shows that of Oslo’s 560,484 residents, 137,878 were immigrants.

The largest single immigrant group continues to be from Pakistan. Next in line is Somalia. Other countries with relatively large immigrant groups in Oslo include Sri Lanka, Iraq, Turkey, Vietnam and Iran.

Nations scrap orders for GSK swine flu jab

Britain, France, Germany, Spain and the US have all indicated in the past two weeks that they will be renegotiating their deals.

Demand for vaccines to combat H1N1 influenza has fizzled out because the pandemic has proven to be less aggressive than was first feared. Regulators who initially indicated that two vaccinations would be needed by each swine flu patient now say that one dose is sufficient. Analysts predict that European governments could return or cancel up to 50 per cent of what they ordered, which could reduce GSK's income from Pandemrix by £300m.

Europe in Crisis

At the start of the last decade, in March 2000, the European Union heads of state announced the Lisbon Strategy. Its aim, by 2010, was to make Europe “the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world, capable of sustainable economic growth with more and better jobs and greater social cohesion.” This would create “the conditions for full employment and the strengthening of regional cohesion in the European Union.”

IMF REVOLT: Greece, Iceland, Latvia may lead the way

Total financial collapse, once a problem only for developing countries, has now come to Europe. The International Monetary Fund is imposing its “austerity measures” on the outer circle of the European Union, with Greece, Iceland and Latvia the hardest hit. But these are not your ordinary third world debtor supplicants. Historically, Iceland was settled by the Vikings, who successfully invaded Britain; Latvian tribes repulsed even the Vikings; and the Greeks conquered the whole Persian empire. If anyone can stand up to the IMF, these stalwart European warriors can.

The Icelandic President listens to the voice of the people

Icelanders say:
No to Ice-save – No to Ice-slave

The Icelandic President Olafur Ragnar Grimson refused to sign the Ice-save bill, which would have obligated the Icelandic tax-payer to pay unconditionally for the debts of the Ice-save division of Landsbanki, a private bank, which had collapsed in 2008. A large percentage of the Icelandic people had signed a petition for the president not to sign the bill and the president listened....

Of course the Icelandic mass-media, like all mass-media fully in the hands of the elites, is now busy at work to convince the people that they would have to agree to pay the debts they haven´t made. We are now told night and day that all hell will break loose on us, if we don´t.

Iceland leader vetoes bank repayments bill

Iceland’s president has refused to sign a controversial bill to repay $5bn (£3.1bn) to the UK and the Netherlands.

Campaigners against the bill say that the Icelandic public are being forced to pay for the mistakes of banks.
The total compensation package equates to about 12,000 euros ($17,300; £10,800) per Icelandic citizen.

Announcing the decision to hold a referendum on the bill, President Grimsson said that the Icelandic public had the right to choose.

Uranium Weapons, Low-Level Radiation and Deformed Babies

A dramatic increase in the number of babies born with birth defects was recently reported by doctors working in Falluja, Iraq [1]. One of the proposed causes for this alarming situation is radiation exposure to the population produced by uranium weapons. The international radiation protection community dismisses this explanation as completely unreasonable because (1) the radiation dose to the population of Iraq was too low, and (2) no evidence of birth defects was reported among offspring born to survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This so-called scientific explanation is deeply disturbing, for it is out of touch with the current knowledge base.

Madrid Bombings - inside job?

During the trial, explosives experts explained that they had searched all the objects left in the train cars four times and confirmed that it was impossible that the found bomb had been among them [8]. Its origin is even more doubtful because the abandoned objects, among which the bomb was purportedly found, were moved 3 times throughout the day of March 11, not always under the best surveillance [9], and ended up at the Vallecas police station, contrary to what the judge had ordered. If one adds to this the conflicting testimony about when it was discovered [10], the fact that the bomb was not mentioned in the inventories of abandoned objects [11], and the fact that there are no photos of the bomb before the time that it was dismantled, the inconsistency of such evidence becomes clear.

Van Rompuy wants the EU to run on CO2

Much of his wish list may have been drearily familiar ever since the Addenino report of 1985: more flying of the "ring of stars" flag, more singing of the "European anthem", EU number plates on cars, EU identity cards. But the one thing the EU has needed to make its powers complete, and which not even its Constitution could give, was the power to levy its own direct taxes. It is no accident that this is now at the top of Mr Van Rompouy's list – nor that the way in which he plans to raise those taxes is by levying new charges on every kind of activity that emits CO2.

Balfour Declaration
Statement issued by the British government in 1917, which is often seen as the initiation of the process leading to the establishment of the State of Israel.

At the eve of the World War I Britain needed the support from the World Jewry, which had been neutral, and which represented a large part of the population of Germany and Austria-Hungary. The declaration was drafted with the help of US President, Woodrow Wilson, who was a strong supporter of Zionism.

Europe’s own surveillance state

As eloquently expressed in this forum before, the defence of our civil liberties is now a war on two fronts. While the UK government pushes ahead with new ways to stockpile our personal data and watch us at every street corner, the European Union is quietly getting on with establishing its very own Europe-wide version of the surveillance state.

Despite the stalwart efforts of groups such as Statewatch, most people, including in the media, have not yet woken up to this. Perhaps it is the sheer scale of the erosion of citizens’ freedom in the UK that leaves the majority numb to anti-privacy developments that are already well underway in Brussels.

Like the Transatlantic Institute, which became “the flagship of neoconservatism” in the 1970s, it was also founded by the American Jewish Committee, a relationship that lasted from 1945 to 2006. But above all, Commentary has been dominated by the political views of Norman Podhoretz.

"Blunt needles for swineflu"

"Blunt needles for swineflu"

Amsterdam - The needles used to vaccinate people against swineflu are blunt, says familydoctor Jan Takken in the online version of Medical Contact.
"When you inject a patient, it gives a nasty, abrasive feeling", according to Takken in the professional journal.

At The National Familydoctors Association (LHV), a spokesperson confirms different needles are used than the regular ones used for the seasonal flu-vaccinations.
"Those needles are specifically developed for this vaccine", explains a spokeswoman of the Dutch Vaccine Institute (NVI).

Chaos In The Snow As Winter Bites Early

DAYS of heavy snow have brought chaos, death and an early start to the skiing season to parts of Europe.

Skiers are being told they can expect a sensational season after three feet of snow led many Alpine resorts to open two weeks early.

But the unseasonably early cold snap also cut power to thousands of homes and caused at least three deaths.

Yesterday tour operators predicted that this winter could see record bookings – despite the recession.

Pistes are already open in Austria, and there has also been heavy snow in France, Italy and Switzerland. Similar early falls last year saw the best conditions in Europe for more than 20 years.

Nurses got sick from the "swine flu" vaccine in Sweden

Yesterday 30 people had been reporting to the authorities in Sweden that they experienced such severe side effects that they felt the need to contact a hospital. Today the number is 110. The swedish newspaper Expressen is the only one in Sweden reporting on these cases and as usual this is most likely only the tip of a rather large iceberg.

Even so, Annika Linde, director of The Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control (SMI) manages to spin this into something positive by stating "The vaccine has more side effects than the normal flu vaccine. It is a sign that proves that it gives an effective protection."

"They're out to get us!" On trust, distrust, and organizing for change

People no longer trust Congress, the President, the courts, the media, corporations, political parties, and other institutions of society. People even doubt science and medicine.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We don't doubt science and medicine, we doubt the people exploiting it for profit.

Lisbon Treaty Gives Jews Greater Power

“IT’S A GREAT DAY FOR EUROPE!” wrote the European Jewish Press on October 4, 2009, only two days after Ireland voted for the Lisbon Treaty.

For on October 2, 2009, Ireland, pressured by EU threats of unemployment and fooled by a staged media “Yes” promotion, signed away the sovereignty of all 27 member states to the EU authorities in Brussels who are controlled by Zionist Jews in Frankfurt.

For in Germany’s city of Frankfurt lies the headquarters of the European Central Bank - with its President, the Jew, Jean Claude Trichet - and his masters who control all Central Banks, the Jewish Rothschild Dynasty, who boast of their historical roots in Frankfurt. Click Frankfurt Office Here.

'President Blair' awaits Irish 'yes' vote and a new EU life of luxury (including expenses MPs would die for and a salary as big as Obama's)

He pockets an annual salary of about £270,000 - slightly less than Mr Obama. He also receives an annual housing allowance of 15 per cent of his pay, around £40,390.

This would allow Mr Blair and his wife to add to their burgeoning property portfolio by picking a swish home in Brussels.

As well as the use of a chauffeur, a plush car and 20 members of staff, the President of Europe is also likely to get a £15,600 entertainment allowance.

As ex-Prime Minister, Mr Blair already gets a taxpayer-funded pension of £63,468 a year plus an annual £84,000 allowance to run a private office.

News from the Icelandic Home Front

My guess is, the whole Ice-slave matter has nothing to do with any debts we as a country might be responsible for by any international law (or they would allow us to go to court over it). It´s nothing else but the sneaky British take-over of the country with all it´s resources, land and sea-area.
After only having been independent since 1944 (having been treated with deep disdain by the Danish before that), Iceland is being recolonized, disdain and all.

Flashack: NATO: slaughter of civilians and drugs

Nebojsha VUKOVIC (Serbia)
NATO: slaughter of civilians and drugs
In 1999 NATO bombed Serbia with depleted uranium bombs, which caused a cancer outbreak in the region....There is a tendency: drug business blossoms in the NATO-controlled territories....Now that Kosovo has been proclaimed a United Nations-governed entity with its sovereign territory, nothing can prevent NATO from developing drug business there....In Afghanistan we see an absolutely unbelievable (at first sight) situation. The local drug traders also receive strong support from the alliance. According to the UN reports, Afghanistan produces 93% of the world's opium poppy.4 And what is most important is that since the U.S. and NATO invasion in Afghanistan the drug output has increased by 44 times!

DNA test shows Hitler skull is that of a woman

ADOLF Hitler may not have died in a bunker after fresh research suggests the skull thought to be the tyrant's was from a woman.

US archaeologist Nick Bellantoni found fragments from the skull believed to be Hitler's were too thin to be from a male, and suspected it was the remains of a much younger woman, The Sun reports.

"The bone seemed very thin - male bone tends to be more robust. It corresponds to a woman between the ages of 20 and 40," Dr Bellantoni said.

DNA tests performed in a US laboratory confirmed the remains could not have belonged to the Nazi leader.

BELGIUM SUSPENDS DEMOCRACY AND CIVIL RIGHTS OVER "SWINE FLU" PANDEMIC

The Belgian parliament yesterday voted to give the government emergency dicatorial powers under the pretext of dealing with a pandemic emergency.

Belgium is the first country in Europe to formally suspend democracy and civic rights and to switch over to military rule under the authority of a "a special crisis committee" that answers ultimately to WHO and the UN.

WHO declared a pandemic emergency level 6 in June over the "swine flu" pandemic, allowing governments to activate "emergency measures" that suspend the operation of normal government and justice.

Earlier this summer, the Belgian Health Minister Laurette Onkelinx passed a decree allowing the police to be detailed to participate in "medical emergencies" on the mass vaccination and quarantine of the population.

EU Plans Massive Surveillance Panopticon That Would Monitor “Abnormal Behavior”

The European Union is developing a 21st century panopticon, a beast surveillance system that critics describe as “Orwellian,” “sinister,” and “positively chilling,” that would collate data from numerous sources, including surveillance cameras and personal computers, in order to detect “abnormal behavior” across the entire continent.

In a broader sense, this is part of the move towards creating a pan-European federal police force, where information and powers are shared as part of a centralized system. It is also a giant step towards the creation of a European CIA tasked not with keeping tabs on foreign enemies, but spying on its own population.

GERMANY: Terror Plot Emerges as Secret Service Game

It was announced as a terror plot busted. German police had captured three young Muslim men in the small village Medebach-Oberschledor, some 450 km southwest of Berlin Sep. 4 in 2007. The police declared they had seized 730 kilograms of hydrogen peroxide, enough to make 550 kg of explosives.

The three men, and a fourth, who was captured a year later in Turkey, wanted to bomb U.S. military and other facilities in Germany, and to kill "as many U.S. soldiers as possible," one of the accused later confessed.

Czech Republic 'planning to delay signing Lisbon treaty'

EU leaders are said to be furious that the Czech Republic is planning to delay signing the Lisbon treaty for up to six months even if the Irish vote "yes" in their referendum next month.

The country might even try to delay it until after the British general election campaign when a Tory victory would see the question put to voters by David Cameron.
