Middle School Student Suspended For ‘Liking’ Gun Photo

A middle school student at Edgewood Middle School in Trenton, Ohio was suspended for 10 days for the simple act of ‘liking’ a photo of a gun on Instagram.

We repeat – the child ‘liked’ a photo of a gun.

The image of an airsoft gun had the caption “Ready,” which the school apparently interpreted as meaning the student was ‘ready’ to use it.

Before teens swarmed train, crime on BART was already on the rise

Crime on BART was on the rise before a swarm of 50 or so teens robbed passengers on a train last week and BART police were already on the case.

On April 22, about 50 to 60 teens rushed a BART train in Oakland and robbed seven people, drawing widespread scrutiny of the agency. But the incident was one moment in a growing trend, the chief said.

Jennings said since March 11, BART police arrested 19 people ages 12 to 21, usually working in concentrated groups, though he added this particular group apparently came from a nearby party.

It was broken up by gunfire,he said, and they converged on the BART station.

Trump: ‘8-year assault’ on Second Amendment is over

President Donald Trump declared Friday that an "eight-year assault" on Second Amendment rights had come to a "crashing end" with his election. No longer will the government be trying to undermine your rights and freedoms as Americans," Trump said during his speech to the National Rifle Association in Atlanta. -- "Instead we will work with you by your side," he said.

Kansas gun case may preserve 2nd Amendment for a generation or more

It’s clear the Founders intended that everyone be armed — not just for hunting or for self-defense, which were givens — but to protect themselves from tyranny. If President Donald Trump is able to appoint a constitutional originalist or two to the Supreme Court before Kettler’s case makes it that far, the 2nd Amendment may be safe for a generation at least. But it will likely also open up a new can of worms: A discussion over whether the 2nd Amendment bars states from regulating gun ownership.

Why We Have a Second Amendment: Venezuela Plans to Give Firearms to Loyalists So They Can Purge Growing Resistance

After enduring shortages of food and medicine for years, as well as a total collapse of their currency, the people of Venezuela have had enough. Last week it was estimated that 2.5 million people marched against the Maduro regime, which had previously tried to strip away the powers of the opposition-led parliament. It’s estimated that as many as 6 million people may have taken to the streets to protest throughout the country.

In the lead-up to the protest, which had been planned for weeks by opposition political parties, President Maduro issued an alarming proclamation that didn’t receive nearly enough press. He promised to expand the nation’s armed militia, and hand out firearms to as many as 400,000 loyalists.

NRA sues California over gun-control laws that "demonize" firearm owners

The national gun-lobbying group on Monday filed a lawsuit aimed at overturning a sweeping set of bills signed into law last year by California Gov. Jerry Brown. The suit is the first of six the NRA plans to file challenging different aspects of the California law, which passed following the mass shooting in San Bernardino, which killed 14 people, and Orlando, which killed 49.

Monday’s lawsuit deals with the state’s ban on almost every style of the so-called assault rifle, including the nation’s most popular: the AR-15.

The End of All Federal Gun Control Laws?

The federal trial of a Kansas man for manufacturing and selling firearms and silencers without a federal license could very well turn out to be the pivotal case that not only challenges the constitutionality of the National Firearms Act of 1934, but also every federal firearms law ever passed in a battle that will determine whether it is the states or the federal government that has the constitutional right to pass gun laws. -- Put bluntly, this could be huge. We indeed live in interesting times, and I look forward to living in a world where the Supreme Court upholds the laws of the land, and not the whims of activists in robes.

National Reciprocity Is (Finally) Being Pushed In Washington

Well, it’s finally happening. We’ve all heard the rumblings from Capitol Hill about a supposed National Reciprocity Act. If it ever made it to the floor, we’d have a chance of traveling all fifty states so long as our home state permits us to carry concealed and we follow the rules of the state we’re in. OREGON STATE SENATOR PROPOSES LAW THAT WOULD ALLOW GUN CONFISCATION WITHOUT DUE PROCESS

California has done it, Illinois is trying to do it, and Oregon may be next. These are the states that have laws, or have attempted to pass laws that make gun confiscation very easy. These laws basically allow any police officer or civilian to ask a court to confiscate the firearms of a family member, if that person may be at risk of suicide or domestic violence. That person doesn’t get to offer any input, nor does their need to be very much evidence that the person in question is dangerous.

The latest proposal comes from Oregon state senator Brian Boquist, whose Navy veteran son committed suicide last year. His bill “would enable immediate family members to obtain a court order to prevent a person showing signs of wanting to commit suicide or hurt others from obtaining a gun for a year.” The order would also force that person to give up all of their firearms.

There Will Be Blood: Left Prepares For War After Berkeley Beat Down: “Combat Training, Better Equipment, Guns…”

Can you say Martial Law? Certain people would love to see blood on the streets.

Last week Trump supporters and leftist social justice warriors met on the political field of battle in Berkeley, California. Words were exchanged, as were punches. And while an alt-right leader was punched in the face, by all accounts even the social justice warriors admit that they got a major beat-down.

This prompted a reddit discussion among the left’s tolerant resistance movement, with many asking how they can more effectively go to war against anyone who disagrees with their social, political, and economic views.

In short, as predicted, they are turning to militancy and mob action by mobilizing individuals and groups to attend combat training seminars, acquiring better equipment like baseball bats and helmets, and of course, if things really go bad… guns.

The Hard Hand of War

This is for the Lincoln Lovers!

On Easter Sunday, April 16, 1865, Union forces under the command of General James Harrison Wilson attacked, captured, and sacked Columbus, GA in the last major battle of the War east of the Mississippi. Wilson’s campaign began in North Alabama and quickly moved South.

Union soldiers began ransacking houses, stealing goods, and confiscating food. By 1864, one North Alabama woman remarked that Union soldiers had left her “poor children [with] nothing but a little piece of fried middling, and bread and water.” Fall harvests were seized while many Union soldiers walked away with clothes and shoes from helpless Southern women.

6 Legendary Mountain Men of the American Frontier

Before the mass migrations of the mid-19th century, some of the only non-natives to venture into the vastness of the American West were small bands of fur trappers, traders and explorers known as “mountain men.” These grizzled, self-sufficient woodsmen helped blaze many of the overland trails later used by the pioneers, and stories of their larger-than-life exploits often became the stuff of legend back East. American Heroes: Francis Marion, South Carolina’s “Swamp Fox”

“Come on Boys! Let us go back … as for this damned old fox, the Devil himself could not catch him.
British Lt. Colonel Banastre Tarleton’s comments after pursuing Colonel Francis Marion

Marion first learned his “Indian style” of warfare while fighting the Cherokees in the Southern theater of the French and Indian War (1756-1763). With American Independence in 1776, Marion was commissioned a major in the South Carolina militia. He helped to repulse the British bombardment of Charleston in 1776, commanding a battery of cannon that crippled the British fleet and sent it running off the next morning “like earless dogs.”

Francis Mario and Tarleton were the real-life inspirations for the main characters in Mel Gibson's "The Patriot."

Government Killing of Civilians by Gas

One point that needs to be made, but rarely if ever mentioned, is that in the supposed rationale for US attack on Syria to avenge/prevent claimed civilian deaths by government gas attacks, the US government itself has used similar weapons openly as recently as the FBI/ATF attack on the Branch Davidian compound near Waco Texas in the spring of 1993.

76 men, women and children died in this senseless military style assault which used highly lethal military CS gas as a primary weapon. CS is not a nerve agent and it doesn’t in normal concentrations cause immediate death. But it is highly flammable, persistent and designed to incapacitate targets by causing massive biological reactions including inability to breathe, massive tearing in the eyes, nose bleeds, etc.

Delta Airlines Goes Dumbass on Passengers’ Guns

Delta says that under the new protocols, luggage containing firearms will be identified with a special tag indicating that it should not be placed on the regular baggage carousel for passenger pickup, but rather be hand-delivered to the airline's baggage office, where it will be zip-tied shut and only released to its owner after an ID check. In theory, this doesn't seem unreasonable, but practical application often fails to track with theory.

Concealed Weapon Detection System Being Implemented For The First Time. Coming To A Neighborhood Near You?

I envision a lot of law-abiding citizens being approached by security and then being asked to leave the property, simply for concealing their legal firearm. Alternatively, they could be asked to leave their firearm in their car, opening it up to theft. Or, as many casinos have, they will let visitors store their firearm in a safe deposit box on property. Lots of good it’ll do, though, if you need it.

Violence and Utopia- Realism and Idealism in the age of Gun Control

The antipathy towards gun owners is not based upon stopping violence, but upon reducing the discomfort felt by idealists. For the idealist, letting society take the burden removes both the duty and the emotional cost of facing an imperfect world. For the idealist, protecting the fantasy narrative is more important than respecting the facts.

Laundromat owner wounds would-be robber in Fairhill

Moments before, police said, a man had burst into the laundromat down the street, wielding a knife. He had forced the laundromat’s owner behind the plexiglass enclosure at the front of the store and grabbed fistfuls of cash at knifepoint before sprinting out of the store.

The owner grabbed his five-shot revolver, police said, and gave chase. As he pursued the would-be robber down the sidewalk, the man threw the cash in the air and kept running. At the intersection at Fifth and Cambria, the store owner emptied his revolver in the man’s direction, and the man ended up getting hit twice in the chest.

US Will Keep Ground Troops in Libya

In a press briefing at the Pentagon today, African Command leader Gen. Thomas Waldhauser announced that the US intends to keep ground troops in Libya for the foreseeable future to support “friendly forces,” and to “degrade” the ISIS forces that remain in the country.

Waldhauser did not specify how many US troops are in Libya now, or how many will stay, but did estimate that there were less than 200 ISIS fighters left in Libya. The US had announced the end of the anti-ISIS campaign in Libya back in December, but never fully withdrew from the country.

The US forces were in Libya trying to help the “unity” government defeat ISIS in the city of Sirte. US officials repeatedly claimed the city was totally surrounded, and that no ISIS fighters would get away, though when the fighting finally ended, a substantial number of ISIS fighters did in fact get away.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: this is "military-speak" for the reality that the US government is never leaving Libya because of the oil and the oil pipelines.

AUSTRALIA BEGINS ANOTHER GUN CONFISCATION PROGRAM, BECAUSE IT DIDN’T WORK THE FIRST TIME

When the topic of gun control comes up, the left loves to cite Australia and their much touted gun buyback program. They view that nation’s gun control measures as the perfect way to peacefully remove firearms from society. But did Australia’s gun buyback program really work? Sure it reduced gun crime (though whether or not it reduced all violent crime is up for debate), but did it truly disarm Australia’s criminal class?

Clearly not, because the Australian government is about to engage in another gun confiscation scheme. The government is planning a new amnesty program in July that will last three months, which the NRA is calling “a tacit admission that criminals and scofflaws have had little trouble circumventing Australia’s National Firearms Agreement (NFA) and the government’s confiscation effort.”

Corporate Media BEX - Loophole Lets Criminals Buy Untraceable ‘Ghost Guns’ Online

Jeff Rossen, NBC News national investigative correspondent, went online to see how easy it would be to order these gun kits. He quickly found dozens of websites offering the product, and ordered a rifle kit, which he had shipped to former ATF agent Rick Vasquez in Virginia.

All the parts needed to assemble a gun were in the box when it arrived. It took Vasquez a couple of hours to assemble the weapon.

Webmaster's Commentary:

What NBC left out is that a great deal of machining is required to turn the parts into a gun, something a former ATF agent is equipped and trained to do. I still haven't finished the lower receiver sent to me as a gift a year ago (although I will grant it is a low priority and I do not have a surplus of time for hobbies).

Here is the important part. Criminals do not use large guns to commit crimes. They are too obvious. Criminals prefer concealable handguns.

Criminals do not waste time building their own guns. They steal them from law abiding citizens and gun stores, or they get them from Fast & Furious or other gun-runners.

This is just NBC, the Nothing But Crap news network, pushing the gun-grabber agenda.

State Legislator in Illinois Introduces Gun Confiscation Bill

Now, in the state of Illinois, where violent crime is skyrocketing in Chicago, politicians are considering a Democrat-backed bill which would allow for gun confiscation, as long as any family member or law enforcement official asks for it to happen.

If the cops believe you’re a danger to yourself, they can take your gun away. Never mind all the thousands of criminals in Chicago who are never giving up THEIR guns.

Webmaster's Commentary:

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms. . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." -- Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774-1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764 -- Thomas Jefferson

"[I]f circumstances should at any time oblige the government to form an army of any magnitude, that army can never be formidable to the liberties of the people while there is a large body of citizens, little if at all inferior to them in discipline and the use of arms, who stand ready to defend their rights and those of their fellow citizens." -- The Federalist, No. 29 -- Alexander Hamilton

"We The people are the rightful masters of both Congress and the Courts, not to overthrow the Constitition but to overthrow the men who would pervert the Constitution." -- Abraham Lincoln
