US Accuses Iran of Launching Missile Capable of Reaching Europe

According to the State Department, Tehran is producing several types of missiles that threaten US partner countries in the Middle East and jeopardise American forces in the region.

'Today, the United States is unveiling new evidence of Iran’s ongoing missile proliferation', US Special Envoy for Iran Brian Hook claimed. 'The Iranian threat is growing and we are accumulating risk of escalation in the region if we fail to act', he added.

“Mysterious Helicopters” Rescuing ISIS And al-Qaeda – A Brief Timeline

By Brandon Turbeville

Although the United States government routinely denies that it in any way cooperates with ISIS, reports continue to manifest themselves demonstrating exactly the opposite, particularly in Syria. Over the course of the war and ever since the emergence of the terrorist organization on the world scene, there have been a number of “mysterious helicopters” that extract ISIS fighters from battlefields in which they are facing imminent defeat either by the legitimate government of the countries in which they are fighting, pro-government militias, or even ahead of “anti-ISIS” strikes by the alleged “anti-ISIS coalition.”

While not attempting to go in to a detailed explanation or analysis of each incident, below are a number of reports of such “airlifts of evil” that have surfaced over the last two years. The Pentagon, as mentioned above, has repeatedly denied these reports...

Exclusive: The Pentagon’s Massive Accounting Fraud Exposed

On November 15, Ernst & Young and other private firms that were hired to audit the Pentagon announced that they could not complete the job. Congress had ordered an independent audit of the Department of Defense, the government’s largest single cost center—the Pentagon receives two of every three federal tax dollars collected—after the Pentagon failed for decades to audit itself. The firms concluded, however, that the DoD’s financial records were riddled with so many bookkeeping deficiencies, irregularities, and errors that a reliable audit was simply impossible.

Escobar: Kerch Strait Chaos Looks "More Like A Cheap Ploy By Desperate Neocons"

The West is complaining about Russian 'aggression' but the incident looks more like a cheap ploy by a desperate Ukrainian president and US conservatives keen to undermine Trump's next pow-wow with Putin...

When the Ukrainian navy sent a tugboat and two small gunboats on Sunday to force their way through the Kerch Strait into the Sea of Azov, it knew in advance the Russian response would be swift and merciless.

After all, Kiev was entering waters claimed by Russia with military vessels without clarifying their intent.

The intent, though, was clear; to raise the stakes in the militarization of the Sea of Azov.

The Kerch Strait connects the Sea of Azov with the Black Sea. To reach Mariupol, a key city in the Sea of Azov very close to the dangerous dividing line between Ukraine’s army and the pro-Russian militias in Donbass, the Ukrainian navy needs to go through the Kerch.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope and pray that Mr. Escobar, for whom I have a world of respect, is seeing this clearly.

But we do have a companion story, courtesy of zerohedge.com, offering the following argument at the highest levels by the British military, about how to respond here:

China Ambassador Warns Of "Dire Consequences" If No Deal, Hints At "All Out" War

Earlier today, Trump's chief economic advisor Larry Kudlow poured cold water on expectations for an imminent resolution of the US-China trade war when he said that negotiations in the run up to this week's G-20 talks "haven't yielded any progress", and unless something changes, the "administration will move ahead with the next phase of tariffs."

"Things have been moving very slowly between the two countries," Kudlow said, adding that it was up to Xi to come up with new ideas to break the deadlock. And, echoing a report from the US Trade Representative published earlier this month, Kudlow said there hasn't been much of a change in China's approach. "We can’t find much change in their approach," Kudlow told reporters. "President Xi may have a lot more to say in the bilateral [with Mr Trump], I hope he does by the way, I think we all hope he does...but at the moment, we don‘t see it."

Webmaster's Commentary:

I hope these two are able to come to some broad "rapprochement" on the issue of trade; these sanctions have already cost American farmers dearly, and whole crops of Soybeans (which the Chinese love to buy from us), are having to be turned under for mulch because storage facilities can't take any more produce.

Russia Deploys S-400 Missiles To Crimea In Military Showdown With Ukraine

Predictably the crisis that began on Sunday between Russia and Ukraine in the Kerch Strait is quickly worsening as Russia has announced plans to deploy more of its advanced S-400 surface-to-air missile systems to Crimea.

Adding to tensions, Reuters has further reported that a Russian warship has been dispatched to the Sea of Azov — waters used by both countries and near where the Russian Navy seized Ukrainian vessels and crew for what Moscow condemned as "maneuvering dangerously" and illegal entry into Russian territory.

The warship was seen departing a Crimean port by a Reuters correspondent on Wednesday and was described as the Russian navy minesweeper ship, the Vice-Admiral Zakharin, going in the direction of the Sea of Azov.

This comes a day after Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko issued provocative statements during a televised interview on Tuesday that his country is "under threat of full-scale war with Russia" while seeking to justify martial law.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would almost be willing to bet real money, that this development is not mentioned in the news of the Corporate Presstitutes; in fact, I would suggest that they are attempting to suppress the story the best they can.

It is quarter of 9 here on Oahu; I will be looking at what the 9 AM feed on Faux News looks like.

But if they are not doing the story, that would definitely suggest that their Corporate masters have told them not to say a word on this, until they have figured out how to "sell" a potentially coming war with the US, Ukraine and NATO on one side, and Russia and China on the other.

Ukraine Provocation in the Black Sea Directed against Russia. Was it a Staged Event?

Ukraine is a virtual US colony – the way it’s been since the Obama regime’s February 2014 coup, replacing democratic governance with fascist tyranny in Europe’s heartland.

Ukraine shares a near-1,500 mile land and sea border with the Russian Federation, the longest Western frontier with the country.

The regime running things is a hotbed of militarized extremism, waging war on its own people, committing appalling human rights abuses – with full support and encouragement from Washington and key NATO countries.

Stop NATO’s Rick Rozoff earlier explained that Ukraine is “the decisive linchpin in plans by the US and its NATO allies to effect a military cordon sanitaire, severing Russia from Europe” – part of a sinister plot, risking East/West confrontation.

Vladimir Putin earlier said

“(t)he appearance on our borders of a powerful military bloc…will be considered by Russia as a direct threat to our country’s security,” adding:

Webmaster's Commentary:

This could potentially get very ugly, and very quickly; demonization of a country, coupled with sanctions against it, are usually a prelude to war.

A Big Step for a Greater Israel. Trump’s New Position on Syria’s Golan Heights

Since 1973, America’s policy has been to demand Israel relinquish Golan while quietly allowing US tax deductible funds to expand Jewish settlements on the plateau. Israel even reportedly offered to return Golan in exchange for a peace deal with Syria, but the secret terms of the deal were too onerous for Damascus.

The Trump administration abruptly changed US Mideast policy. First, it announced the US Embassy would move from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, meaning that it rejected the idea of a Palestinian state with its capital in the old city of Jerusalem. Now, the White House has quietly accepted permanent Israeli control of Golan, though it violates international law and past US policy.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that the Mantra around the White House, Pentagon, and State Department is: "perpetual war!"

And BTW, don't get too shocked if you see the Unhinged, Surveilled State of Amerika reposition the draft, for all these wars.

US Military Says It Can’t Take Out Remaining ISIS Fighters Because They’re Hiding In Tunnels

As 2018 draws to a close, it is unclear if U.S. troops and their Arab-Kurdish allies have made a dent in ISIS’ last stronghold in Syria.

A spokesman for U.S. military operations in Iraq and Syria estimated in December 2017 that fewer than 3,000 ISIS fighters remained in both countries. Since then, defense officials have said consistently that roughly 2,000 ISIS fighters are trapped in Syria’s Middle Euphrates River Valley.

Army Col. Sean Ryan, a spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve, repeated the 2,000 figure when briefing reporters on Tuesday. However, it is difficult to determine exactly how many ISIS fighters remain in their last enclave in Syria because they are dug in deeply and the terrain is difficult for combat operations, he said.

“The numbers game is difficult to count because ISIS is underground – they’re in tunnels; they’re hiding,” Ryan said. “So it’s not like we watch them walk into to a building and we’re counting as they go in. They’re spread apart.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This response, is Orwellian double-speak, writ large.

IF the US military knows where these tunnels are, why do they not then blow them up?!?

Perhaps because they want to "save and groom" these US-funded and equipped forces to fight another day?!?

Will the Trump administration make occupied Golan part of ‘deal of the century’?

Over the past seven years, the extreme right-wing Israeli government has sought to exploit the Syrian crisis in order to legalise its annexation of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights (occupied on 14 November 1981). Its diplomacy and lobbying efforts continued in Washington and international capitals to gain recognition by the international community of its expansion, but it did not succeed to do so, and the entire world has recognised Golan as being Syrian, through successive resolutions issued by the Security Council and the General Assembly, and other international forums.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Were I a betting woman, I would not bet against this happening.

Ukraine’s President Warns of Threat of ‘Full-Scale War’ With Russia

Since the 2014 Ukrainian revolution, top Ukrainian politicians have talked up the threat of an imminent, full-scale war in Russia. Years later, this continues to get raised every time a tense moment with Russia erupts.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is now citing Sunday’s maritime incident in the Sea of Azov, and says “Ukraine is under threat of full-scale war with Russia,” claiming Russia had massively increased the number of troops and tanks on their border.

He claims to have intelligence reports on the military buildup, but offered no details. It would be strange for Russia to precipitously escalate their presence at the border, given Ukraine is much weaker militarily, and the eastern border includes an ethnic Russian separatist region of Ukraine.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Since he came to power in 2014, Poroshenko has always been screaming about an imminent Russian invasion; and of course, it hasn't happened to date.

And again, in his leitmotif about being "under threat", there is utterly no proof of that being the case.

This, truly, is "the boy who cried wolf" once too often.

Trump’s Saudi First Foreign Policy Strikes Again

Originally appeared on The American Conservative.

The Trump administration bows before the Saudis once more over the war on Yemen:

The US has “slammed the brakes on” a United Nations Security Council resolution calling for a limited ceasefire and increased humanitarian aid in Yemen over concerns about angering Saudi Arabia, two sources tell CNN.

One source familiar with the negotiations over the resolution tells CNN the US “has slammed the brakes on,” saying that “we can’t support a resolution at the moment.”

Webmaster's Commentary:

This absolutely disgusts me, as it should every thinking American.
And I can tell you, very clearly, why US negotiators "cannot support a resolution at this time."

But in coming up with an answer, I have to ask myself, and our readers, just what has happened to the soul, and spirit, of this country, that the Unhinged, Surveilled State of America, since President Obama was in office, choosing to abet and enable Saudi war crimes in Yemen?!?

And at what moral price do we allow this to continue?!?

It is because, once again, the Butcher of Yemen, Crown Prince Bin Salman, and his American Merchant of Death in Chief, President Trump, are hunkering down, and scurrying away from any meaningful dialogue which could end this genocide.

From the Butcher'standpoint, obviously, not enough Yemeni babies, women, children, and the medically fragile murdered, or maimed for life yet. THIS is what this genocide looks like from

And for our Merchant of Death in Chief, not nearly enough American weapons have bee sold yet, and he would probably love to see this conflict go on for years, adding to the bottom line of the US's military industrial complex.

Now, we do have the following story, datelined yesterday:

Exclusive: 50+ experts and former officials urge the Senate to end US role in Yemen war

But I seriously doubt that this will put a crimp in both President Trump's or the Butcher of Yemen's war-time vision to leave a plague of death, disease, and destruction, and declare "victory" (whatever that means).

Trump and Xi to Meet for Dinner Saturday in Pivotal Moment for Trade War

President Donald Trump and China’s Xi Jinping will meet over dinner Saturday evening in Buenos Aires marking a pivotal moment in the escalating trade war between the world’s two largest economies.

Trump is hopeful for a breakthrough with Xi but is ready to impose more tariffs if the upcoming talks don’t yield progress, Larry Kudlow, Trump’s top economic adviser, told reporters Tuesday during a briefing ahead of the Group of 20 meeting in Argentina.

Webmaster's Commentary:

HOW THE US USES THE "LEFTIST" MEK GROUP FOR SOFT AGGRESSION AGAINST IRAN

WASHINGTON’S PULLING OUT OF THE IRAN NUCLEAR DEAL AND SUBSEQUENTLY RENEWED SANCTIONS COME AS US NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISOR APPOINTEE JOHN BOLTON’S EXISTENTIAL OBJECTIVE TO DESTROY IRAN BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY EVEN IF IT MEANS LEVERAGING THE SOFT POWER OF A CULTISH DEATH SQUAD.

US President Donald Trump ramped up the threat with a Game of Thrones meme warning Iran, with a November 5 deadline, that “Sanctions are Coming.” Qasem Soleimani, a Major General in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, responded with a meme of his own that Friday with the message “I will stand against you.”

More than just rhetoric, the exchange signified the high pomp the mention of sanctions posted to the Islamic Republic following an extensive international campaign by the US and Iranian expat and separatist allies to maximize their impacts.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The problem here is, that if the sanctions, and the actions of MEK, do not create "regime change", or "regime behaviour", however you want to say it, the US is looking at slogging toward a war against Iran; this will most likely mean a war against Russia, as Iran and Russia have an old, productive, and stable relationship, just as Russia has had with Syria.

One can see, very clearly, how Russia aided its friend Syria, by assisting to get out the jihadis, many of whom were trained and funded by the US; I would sincerely doubt that would change, if there is an attack on Iran, and you would see Putin rush to Iran's aid militarily in a heartbeat, at that point.

The US military doesn't have the troop strength; the manufacturing; the money; or the weaponry to guarantee a positive outcome to a conventional war against Russia and Iran.

Of course, neither Sheldon Adelson nor Bibi Netanyahu are very concerned about it; after all, they fully are on board the position of the costs of such a war, both in blood and money, will fully be paid by the US government.

Oh, and BTW; don't be startled, if after the turn of the year, there is a return to the draft for this country, to get the numbers up.

Planet of War

It is often said that, in an Orwellian sense, every nation needs an enemy to unite and discipline its population. A European Army Obeying US Interests Will Only Incentivize More Imperialism and Military Corruption

By Federico Pieraccini

The idea of creating a common army for the countries of the European Union has been repeatedly proposed by numerous advocates of the globalist elite for at least a decade. Russia And Ukraine Are On The Brink Of War – And Why That Could Lead To World War 3

This article was originally published by Michael Snyder at The Economic Collapse

A respected foreign journalist living in Ukraine is warning that a war that most Americans cannot even imagine “teeters on the razor thin edge of becoming real”. When Russia opened fire on Ukrainian Navy vessels and captured three of their ships, it made headlines all over the globe. An emergency meeting of the UN Security Council was hastily arranged for Monday at 11 AM, and hopefully there will be a positive outcome from that meeting. Because right now Moscow and Kiev are on the brink of war, and once a Russian invasion happens there will be no turning back. At that point the U.S. would have a major decision to make, and if we chose to defend Ukraine that could mean that we would suddenly find ourselves fighting World War 3.

Most people don’t realize that this crisis has been simmering for over a week. The following is from a U.S. News & World Report article that was posted on November 19th…

Audit: Pentagon Cannot Account for $6.5 Trillion Dollars in Taxpayer Money

A new Department of Defense Inspector General’s report, released last week, has left Americans stunned at the jaw-dropping lack of accountability and oversight. The glaring report revealed the Pentagon couldn’t account for $6.5 trillion dollars worth of Army general fund transactions and data, according to a report by the Fiscal Times.

The Pentagon, which has been notoriously lax in its accounting practices, has never completed an audit, would reveal how the agency has specifically spent the trillions of dollars allocated for wars, equipment, personnel, housing, healthcare and procurements allotted to them by Congress.

Strategic Waterways and “The Kerch Strait Incident”: Towards Military Escalation?

Are we gearing towards a Kerch Strait Incident, namely a “Pretext” which could potentially lead to armed conflict?
.
In response to these events, the Ukrainian armed forces have been put on full combat alert, in consultation with NATO. The adoption of martial law was put forth by President Poroshenko (to be debated in the Kiev parliament)
Meanwhile Moscow has called for the convening of an emergency UN Security council meeting. According to the Guardian

“Russia’s foreign ministry has accused Ukraine of coordinating with the US and the EU in a “planned provocation” aimed at securing further sanctions against Moscow, as tensions mount after a dangerous clash between the two countries. (Guardian, 26, November 2018)

We are at a dangerous crossroads. Will the Kerch Straits Incident lead to a process of military escalation?!?

Webmaster's Commentary:

The most discomfiting thing about this, so far, is Ukraine's having done this "with full NATO consultations."

AP Interview: Saudi royal says crown prince is here to stay

A prominent Saudi royal said Saturday that whether or not heads of state gathered in Argentina next week for the Group of 20 summit warmly engage with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, he is someone "that they have to deal with."

Prince Turki al-Faisal told The Associated Press the killing of Saudi writer Jamal Khashoggi in the kingdom's consulate in Istanbul last month is "an unacceptable incident that tars and mars the long record of Saudi Arabia's own standing in the world."

"We will have to bear that. It's not something that should not be faced. And we do face it," he said.

Intelligence officials and analysts say the operation to kill Khashoggi, who wrote critically of the crown prince for The Washington Post, could not have happened without Prince Mohammed's knowledge. The kingdom, which has offered several conflicting accounts of the killing, denies the crown prince had any involvement.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I look at this with extreme skepticism, because even without "L'affaire Khoshoggi", the man has ordered the deaths of thousands of innocent Yemeni people, in order to control Yemen's oil, which amounts to 90% of Yemen's economy The Economy of Yemen

As a Saudi family royal, Crown Prince Bin Salman enjoys many honorifics, honorable titles to his name; but the one by which he will be most probably remembered, is that of "The Butcher of Yemen", aided and abetted in his war crimes by Amerika's Merchant of Death in Chief, President Donald Trump.

Trump’s Foreign Policy War on Americans

The funny thing is that Trump himself seems to be working hardest to persuade those supporters that he has no intention of changing U.S. foreign policy. He would no more liquidate America’s global empire than liquidate his own global business empire. Alas, America is not going anywhere. Sure, he may hector imperial allies to spend more on their militaries (while insisting he respects their sovereignty), but that’s just a show. He’s an all-in imperialist, so we shouldn’t be fooled by the staged populism that sometimes is mistaken for come-home-Americanism. America First in practice embodies George H. W. Bush’s summation of America’s foreign policy: “What we say goes.”

As Glenn Greenwald writes about Trump’s disgusting relationship with Saudi Arabia, it’s “a perfect example — perhaps stated a little more bluntly and candidly than usual — of how the US has conducted itself in the world since at least the end of World War II.”

US Training 30,000 Syrian Kurdish Fighters to ‘Contain Iran’

Following Defense Secretary James Mattis’ announcement that the US is building observation posts on the Syria-Turkey border, officials are also starting a training program for the Kurdish YPG’s Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The plan is to train 30,000 more SDF fighters, which are being presented as a plan to both combat what ISIS fighters remain and to “contain Iran.” If the training plan is successful, it would bring the SDF to 90,000 fighters.

There are reasons to be skeptical, however, as the US has had several training schemes for groups in Syria in the past, and has tended to produce but tiny fractions of their intended numbers. Even then, those newly-trained fighters have proved to be of limited effectiveness and questionable loyalty.

Webmaster's Commentary:

But, if these fighters do wind up "defeating both Syrian and Iranian operatives, what happens then?!?

Has Sec Def Mattis promised them a permanent "homeland", by telling them that it will let them occupy certain sections of Syria, permanently?!?

And have Presidents Putin; and Al Assad;and Edrogan gotten the memo yet on this move?!?

Russia Blocks Ukrainian Navy From Militarizing The Sea of Azov - Updated

The Ukrainian government under the oligarch Petro Poroshenko is in election campaign mode. That is one reason why it is launching new provocations against Russia. Yesterday Ukrainian forces reportedly occupied a town within the neutral zone between the government controlled part and the rebel held Donetsk area. Today the Ukrainian navy sent a tug and two small gun boats, recently acquired from the U.S. Coast Guard, Ukrainian build Gurza-M class types, to pass through the Kerch Strait into the Sea of Azov.

When the ships entered Russian waters without announcing their intent, a Russian coast guard ship rammed (vid) and damaged the tug. The two gun boats escaped but did not pass the strait. The pictures show the melee at sea.

Ukraine’s army put on full combat alert - Defense Ministry

The Ukrainian armed forces have been put on full combat alert by the decision of the chief of the country’s General Staff, the press service of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry reported on Monday.

"In accordance with the National Security and Defense Council’s decision on imposing martial law, the chief of the General Staff and commander-in-chief of Ukraine’s armed forces ordered to put the Ukrainian armed forces’ units on full combat alert," the press service said.

Due to the situation in the Kerch Strait, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Alexander Turchinov earlier voiced the initiative on imposing martial law in the country for 60 days backed by the Ukrainian president. Now this bill is to be considered by Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada (parliament). According to its speaker Andrei Parubiy, its meeting will be convened on Monday at 16:00 local time (17:00 Moscow time).

Webmaster's Commentary:

Translation: Poroshenko is using this incident to put off elections, which must be voted upon by its Parliament no later than 21 December. The timing means that the elections cannot be held at the end of March, for their Parliament to vote on in by 21 December.

But the larger matter is, if in fact Ukraine declares war on Russia, ( a quite idiotic thing for Ukraine to do, BTW), but if that happens, please ,where does it put US military assistance to Kiev?!?

UKRAINE DECLARES MARTIAL LAW AS RUSSIA REFUSES TO RELEASE CAPTURED SHIPS

Seemingly out of nowhere, a diplomatic crisis has erupted between Ukraine and Russia after Russia detained three Ukrainian ships which it said had been "maneuvering dangerously" near the Kerch Strait - a crucial choke point controlled by Russia which separates the Sea of Azov From the Black Sea. In response to what he decried as unprovoked Russian aggression, increasingly unpopular Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a declaration on Monday to declare martial law for 60 days through Jan. 26. He also started mobilizing the Ukrainian army despite the martial law order still needing approval by the country's Parliament, according to RT.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This issue of "martial law" will most probably extend well into the next election cycle, meaning that it has been engineered by Poroshenko to prevent the elections from being held at all.

Google states: "Thus, the 2019 Ukrainian presidential election should take place on 31 March 2019. The Ukrainian parliament must approve the date of the presidential election no later than 100 days before the election day. For the election to take place on the above-mentioned date they must do this before 21 December 2018."

However, if no meeting of the Ukrainian Parliament can happen 100 days before the election, before 21 December, 2018, the election cannot be approved of, or held.

Poroshenko is in really bad shape in the national polls, and this is why this "encounter" was engineered; the placement of Martial Law ahead of an election which might possibly be his last.

Kolomoisky rules out Poroshenko's 2019 election win.

MBS HIRES GERMAN PR FIRM TO POLISH HIS IMAGE

A German consultancy firm with access to senior officials in the country has been employed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to improve the kingdom’s image. For years, the Saudi leadership has spent large sums on lobbyists in the West and this weekend a German newspaper revealed that that the Crown Prince, known as MBS, is working with a Berlin based consulting firm to shape Germany’s impression of the 33-year-old.

Details of the agreement between MBS and the PR firm were discovered by German sources and reported in the Arab media. German Sunday newspaper, Welt am Sonntag reported that Saudi Crown Prince “has been working with WMP since 2015 to prevent the spread of negative views in Germany about the royal family.”

The need to free Idlib from terrorists goes hand in hand with the promise of Assad and the government of Damascus to liberate every inch of Syria from terrorists. The diplomatic efforts of Moscow serve to prepare the ground for what will happen in the coming months, with the SAA set to advance on Idlib. In this sense, the deployment of advanced systems in Syria serves as a deterrent against possible responses from countries like Israel and the United States, anxious to defend their jihadists, but continuing to have minimal influence on the ground.

U.S. ambassador: Iran failed to declare all chemical weapons to global agency

Iran has not declared all its chemical weapons capabilities to the global chemical weapons agency in The Hague, in violation of an international non-proliferation convention, the U.S. ambassador to the organisation said on Thursday.

Ambassador Kenneth Ward told a meeting of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) that Iran had failed to report a production facility for the filling of aerial bombs and maintains a programme to obtain banned toxic munitions.

There was no immediate Iranian reaction to the remarks.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Yet more demonization of Iran, with utterly no incontrovertible proof.

Demonization of a country, coupled with sanctions against it, are generally the preludes to a war against that country.

Focus on precision: Putin urges ramping up of production of ‘smart’ missiles and artillery shells

Russia must ramp up production of high-precision missiles and artillery shells, President Vladimir Putin said. Smart munitions can do the job more effectively than their “dumb” counterparts – and even save on the costs.
“We definitely need, not the notorious ‘slugs’, but ‘smart’ and highly precise munitions instead, which expand the capabilities of both existing and prospective weapon systems, and, I stress, can save funds considerably,” Putin said on Thursday, speaking at a meeting with industry representatives and top military officers.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Would that American politicians were delivering the same message to its military industrial complex.

Unfortunately for Americans, is the reality that weapons manufacturers in this country contribute lavishly - both covertly and overtly - to both sides of the aisle, so there is never any real pressure for quality, forward-thinking, and cost-effective weaponry, which leaves this country every more vulnerable by the day.

ESCOBAR: ERDOGAN, MBS, ISLAMIC LEADERSHIP, & THE PRICE OF SILENCE

The House of Saud's ties to the Khashoggi slaying are being milked by the Turkish President for maximum benefit amid debate on leadership of the Islamic world and how the crisis may affect US and Saudi strategy in the Middle East...

Call it the Gazprom double down. Nord Stream 1 and 2 supply northern Europe while TurkStream supplies southern Europe. Pipelines are steel umbilical cords. They represent liquid connectivity at its best while conclusively decreasing risks of geopolitical friction.

The Kremlin and the Russian Foreign Ministry are very much aware that the high-stakes game goes way beyond ‘Pulp Fiction’ in Istanbul and the Astana peace process on Syria – carefully micro-managed by both Putin and Erdogan alongside Iran’s Rouhani. The big prize is no less than the leadership of the Islamic world.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Putin, as usual, is no less than one thousand chess moves ahead of President Trump, in understanding how all this is going to be perceived globally, and how it can best benefit Russia and its allies.

USA Prepares to Add Venezuela to Its Terrorism List – Its Got a Lot of Oil You Know

Another stunning statistic that should surprise absolutely no-one with an internet connection, is that Venezuela also happens to be the largest supplier of oil to the United States, sending about 1.5 million barrels per day.

Not paying for that would be good for America’s economy, as would stemming their supply to America’s competitors.

During a press conference with Calixto Ortega, the president of the Central Bank of Venezuela on Tuesday, Economy Vice President Tareck El Aissami said in early October that all future transactions on the exchange market would be made in euro, yuan and “other convertible currency” instead of the US dollar.

Gabbard says being Saudi Arabia's 'bitch' is not 'America First'

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) took aim at President Trump on Wednesday over his comments regarding the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post journalist who disappeared after entering the Saudi Arabian consulate in Turkey.

Gabbard wrote on Twitter that "being Saudi Arabia's bitch" did not align with the president's campaign theme of "America First," a day after Trump indicated that Saudi Arabia would not face severe consequences over Khashoggi's death.

Her comments came after Trump, as well as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, indicated that the U.S. would not sanction Saudi Arabia or otherwise punish the country over Khashoggi's death. Their stance drew criticism from both sides of the aisle Tuesday as politicians in both parties accused the White House looking the other way when it came to the Saudi government's alleged crimes.

The Tide Is Turning: Israel Is Losing on Two War Fronts

The November 12 botched Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip is delineating Tel Aviv’s failure to utilize its army as a tool to achieve Palestinian political concessions.

Now that the Palestinian popular resistance has gone global through the exponential rise and growing success of the Boycott Movement, the Israeli government is fighting two desperate wars.

Following the Gaza attack, Palestinians responded by showering the Israeli southern border with rockets and carried out a precise operation targeting an Israeli army bus.

As Palestinians marched in celebration of pushing the Israeli army out of their besieged region, the fragile political order in Israel, long-managed by right-wing Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, was quickly unraveling.

Two days after the Israeli attack on Gaza, Defense Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, quit in protest of Netanyahu’s "surrender" to the Palestinian Resistance.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This is why the continuation of the BDS movement is so critical right now; money, or the lack of it, is a language in which Israelis are quite proficient.

Trump Defends the Indefensible in Yemen

Trump has deservedly elicited widespread criticism for his treatment of the Khashoggi killing in a statement that appeared designed to preempt a U.S. intelligence assessment. He repeats the claim Khashoggi was part of the Muslim Brotherhood without really taking a position one way or the other and seemingly shrugs at the question of whether the crown prince had advance knowledge of the columnist’s torture and dismemberment. (“[M]aybe he did and maybe he didn’t!”)

But the apologia for the Saudi and United Arab Emirates war in Yemen, backed by our own government, should not escape reproach. Trump opens with some whataboutism and saber-rattling against Iran before lavishing praise on Saudi Arabia.

Webmaster's Commentary:

As a Christian pacifist activist, who abhors war as a way to achieve some wanted geopolitical outcome, and never advocates violence, for as long as this wretched war continues, I am compelled to witness, as truthfully as I can, to what the United States and its military, have done here, and are continuing to do in Yemen.

And here is what the US-enabled, Saudi war crimes look like in Yemen: warning; very graphic photos:

Yemeni children, killed or maimed for life, courtesy of US-enabled Saudi air strikes

Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition, courtesy of US-enabled Saudi port blockades

Images: Yemeni children dying of (possibly weaponized) cholera because all clean Yemeni water infrastructure has been destroyed by US-enabled Saudi destruction of these resources

It is painfully obvious to anyone with two brain cells to rub together, that the US government, with full knowledge and intent, has been assisting Saudi Arabia in committing war crimes in Yemen.

And if either Sec Def Mattis, or Mike Pompeo thought for one millisecond, that they could "control" the actions of Prince bin Salman, after Saudi-aligned forces broke the cease-fire, and started shelling Hodeida mercilessly, they have been proven absolutely, and catastrophically wrong.

It appears that President Trump, our Merchant of Death in Chief believes firmly that these children and their parents must die, and are nothing more than "collateral damage" in the name of keeping sales of Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Raytheon, and the other military industrial complex corporations, humming along to Saudi Arabia.

I would imagine that today, Dennis A. Muilenburg, President of Boeing; Marillyn Hewson, President of Lockheed Martin; and Roy Azevedo, President of Raytheon, are all having a lovely, traditional Thanksgiving dinner, with all the trimmings with family and friends; unfortunately, the children of Yemen, appear to be only worthy of the above-documented death and destruction at the hands of the Butcher of Yemen, Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and his BFF and enabler, America's Merchant of Death in Chief, President Trump.

US to Build Military Outposts on Syria-Turkey Border

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Defense Secretary James Mattis revealed that the US intends to build a number of new military “observation outposts” on the Turkey-Syria border. The posts will be inside Syrian territory, where the Kurdish forces are based.

The intention is to reduce tensions between the Turkish government and the Kurdish YPG. Mattis says that the US would be able to “call the Turks and warn them if we see something coming out of an area we’re operating in.”

In theory, this is to be understood as warning if the YPG (who the Turks consider terrorists) are attacking Turkey. In practice, Turkey has tended to carry out most of the attacks, however, which means the US posts may be taken as intended to give the Kurds advance notice.

Webmaster's Commentary:

There is a "good reason" and a "real reason" the US military does anything; the real reason here, seems to be biting off hunks of Syria that the Kurds can ultimately claim as its official territory, and its homeland.

Russia Releases Video Showing New Su-57 Stealth Fighter In Syria Combat Mission

Eight years after its maiden voyage followed by February claims of a Syrian deployment, Russia's single-seat, twin-engine SU-57s fighter jet is finally ready for its close-up.

The planes, which flew a total of ten sorties, were pushed to the limit as the military wanted to see how they would perform during a real-life mission. The jets’ aerodynamics, avionics, fire control, and weapons systems were all put to test amid high temperatures and complicated terrain, the ministry said on Facebook. -RT

The Russian Defense Ministry, which has ordered 12 of the supersonic stealth jets to be delivered in 2019, has released footage of an Su-57 taking off from an undisclosed location presumed to be Khmeimim air base in north eastern Syria. The official release comes nine months after unverified photos and video footage emerged in February purporting to show the new fighter jet landing at Khmeimim.

Pentagon’s 'lost' trillions went to people connected to US military-industrial complex: Ron Paul

Former Republican congressman and presidential candidate Ron Paul has said that “the Pentagon’s lost trillions have nothing to do with defense, adding that the “money propping up the high lifestyles of those connected to the military-industrial complex.”

Dr. Paul, a three-time American presidential candidate and the founder of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, made the remarks in an article published by his website on Monday.

Deputy US Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan has recently acknowledged that the Pentagon has failed its first-ever comprehensive audit, saying, “We failed the audit, but we never expected to pass it.”

"It was an audit on a $2.7 trillion dollar organization, so the fact that we did the audit is substantial," Shanahan claimed.

Planet of War

American militarism has gone off the rails -- and this middling career officer should have seen it coming. Earlier in this century, the U.S. military not surprisingly focused on counterinsurgency as it faced various indecisive and seemingly unending wars across the Greater Middle East and parts of Africa. Back in 2008, when I was still a captain newly returned from Iraq and studying at Fort Knox, Kentucky, our training scenarios generally focused on urban combat and what were called security and stabilization missions. We’d plan to assault some notional city center, destroy the enemy fighters there, and then transition to pacification and “humanitarian” operations.

Bipartisan Panel: US Must Prepare for 'Horrendous,' 'Devastating' War With Russia and China

A bipartisan commission appointed by Congress issued a lengthy report Tuesday backing the Pentagon’s plans to prepare for a “great-power” war against Russia, China, or both, making clear that the Trump administration’s belligerent policies are shared by the Democratic Party.

Safe in the knowledge that its findings will never be seriously reported by the mass media, the authors of this report do not mince words about what such a war will mean. A war between the United States and China, which according to the report might break out within four years, will be “horrendous” and “devastating.” The military will “face greater losses than at any time in decades.” Such a war could lead to “rapid nuclear escalation,” and American civilians will be attacked and likely killed.

‘Obvious threat’: Russian officials warn Poland not to proceed with permanent US military base

Moscow will have to respond if Warsaw pushes through a plan to build a permanent US base on its soil, top Russian officials have warned, as the Polish defense chief said construction of the so-called Fort Trump was a done deal.

Poland’s Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak confirmed that a permanent US military installation will be “undoubtedly” created on the country’s territory. While bolstering US military presence is not a matter for negotiation, the exact mechanism and select units to be deployed are still being discussed, Blaszczak told Polish Radio on Tuesday.

However, he did not reveal any details citing the need to protect a “strong negotiating position.”

The idea of building a permanent US military installation is wholeheartedly supported by top Polish officials, who are even ready to pay a hefty sum of $2 billion for it.

US Preparing to List Venezuela as State Sponsor of Terrorism - Reports

The Trump administration is getting ready to add Venezuela to the US list of state sponsors of terrorism, The Washington Post newspaper reported, citing US officials and internal government emails.

Trump administration hawks putting US on course for war with Iran, report warns

Donald Trump has surrounded himself with hardliners in his administration who have openly called for bombing Iran and carrying out regime change, says a new report, which also warns of the possibility of a military confrontation being engineered through provocative action.

Senior members of the US administration, which has pulled out of the nuclear deal with Tehran unilaterally, have vocalised its desire to destroy the agreement and cripple the Iranian economy in the process, the document prepared by the National Iranian American Council (NIAC) points out.

The report holds, however, that there is a chance of averting a violent scenario following the American midterm elections, which have given the Democrats control of the House of Representatives. There are Republicans as well as Democrats who are wary of the hawkish approach of some of Mr Trump’s advisers, and a bipartisan approach may pave the way for the deal to be saved and even for Washington to rejoin it in the future.

Trump administration hawks putting US on course for war with Iran, report warns

Donald Trump has surrounded himself with hardliners in his administration who have openly called for bombing Iran and carrying out regime change, says a new report, which also warns of the possibility of a military confrontation being engineered through provocative action.

There are Republicans as well as Democrats who are wary of the hawkish approach of some of Mr Trump’s advisers, and a bipartisan approach may pave the way for the deal to be saved and even for Washington to rejoin it in the future.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Whoever put this report together has no real grasp of American geopolitics, and what outside players largely create its foreign policies, particularly for the Middle East.

When it comes to foreign interventions, DC is a "one-party town"; that of the warmongers.

Democrats and Republicans will all band together on this one, and for one, un-named reason; that is the monumental impact both AIPAC and Israel hold over American politics.

IF Israel and AIPAC want this war to go forward, trust me, no matter who is on what side of the Aisle, Congress will confirm this in absolute lock step; to not have AIPAC's and Israel's support means you either won't get into the House or Senate, or if you do, it will be for one term only.

American politicians understand this; not going Israel and AIPAC's way is the KOD (kiss of death) for American politicians, sort of like ingesting a large gulp of geopolitical Kryptonite.

I am very concerned at seeing this move forward, which I believe it most probably will, after the turn of the first of next year.

Russia and China may well come in on Iran's side; and right now, the US military doesn't have the weaponry; the money; the troop strength, or the manufacturing to insure a positive result from a conventional war against Iran.

The IAEA (comprised of some very bright, capable people) is still attesting to the reality that Iran is still abiding by the rules of the P5+1.

That the US has withdrawn from it is a first salvo toward a war against it.

Were I a betting person, I would not bet against the resurrection of the Draft in this country, in advance of such a move.

But one thing DC needs to hear and understand, is this; Israel wants this war conducted ONLY... at the costs of American blood... and American money.

Pentagon Denies Killing Civilians in Eastern Syrian Airstrikes

After over a week of daily reports from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reporting US airstrikes killing Syrian civilians in the area near the Iraqi border, the Pentagon has finally addressed the matter, denying all blame.

To be clear, the Pentagon confirmed that they carried out airstrikes against the towns and villages where all these civilians were killed at the same time all the civilians were killed within in airstrikes. They suggested those facts were unrelated.

Rather, the Pentagon insisted all their strikes were against “legitimate military targets,’ and that there were no civilians in those spots. By way of an attempt to explain all the dead civilians, they claimed somebody else carried out simultaneous airstrikes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Oh, really?!?

US Airstrikes kill at least 40 - mostly civilians in Eastern Syria

The Syrian Observatory said it was unclear if any of the men killed in the attacks were actually militants, but that 17 children and 12 women were confirmed among the slain. In general, these attacks have targeted residential areas, not militants.

We know when the Pentagon is lying... they're either speaking, or inputting to their computers... and words come out, which have utterly no basis in reality.

Saudis Agree To Yemen Peace Talks - Ceasefire In Effect For First Time Since War's Start

The prospect for peace - or at least a lasting ceasefire - is advancing rapidly following a surprise weekend proposal by Yemen's Houghis to halt all attacks on Saudi coalition forces. On Sunday the head of Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi Supreme Revolutionary Committee Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, said "We are willing to freeze and stop military operations" — something which now appears to have taken effect, according to a breaking Reuters report.

In the biggest turning point in the war which has raged since 2015, Reuters confirms:

Houthi rebels in Yemen said on Monday they were halting drone and missile attacks on Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and their Yemeni allies, responding to a demand from the United Nations.

INSIDE THE BRITISH ARMY'S SECRET INFORMATION WARFARE MACHINE

Explaining their work, the soldiers used phrases I had heard countless times from digital marketers: “key influencers", “reach", “traction". You normally hear such words at viral advertising studios and digital research labs. But the skinny jeans and wax moustaches were here replaced by the crisply ironed shirts and light patterned camouflage of the British Army. Their surroundings were equally incongruous – the 77th’s headquarters were a mix of linoleum flooring, long corridors and swinging fire doors. More Grange Hill than Menlo Park. Next to a digital design studio, soldiers were having a tea break, a packet of digestives lying open on top of a green metallic ammo box. Another sign on the wall declared, “Behavioural change is our USP [unique selling point]”. What on Earth was happening?

Webmaster's Commentary:

IF the Brits are out there, "digitally"marketing" wars and military campaigns, we, in the Peace Movement, need to be marketing the case for peace ever more gently and intelligently than ever.

WITH SAUDIS’ GLOBAL BACKERS BACKING AWAY, YEMENI FACTIONS PREPARE FOR PEACE TALKS

Peace in Yemen could not come at a more crucial time. Yemeni factions are preparing for peace talks in Sweden at the end of November while Saudi Arabia faces intense scrutiny and pressure from its Western allies, as well as possible action from the United Nations Security Council, for leaving nearly 22 million Yemenis requiring urgent humanitarian aid at the mercy of the famine and disease that the Saudi-led coalition has leveraged as weapons of war.

As of July, the coalition’s war against Yemen had killed or injured 37,896 civilians, according to Yemen’s Legal Center for Rights and Development, which tracks civilian casualties. Since then, casualties have skyrocketed by 168 percent as a result primarily of the coalition’s bombardment of the densely populated port city of Hodeida.

US AIRSTRIKES KILL AT LEAST 40, MOSTLY CIVILIANS, IN EASTERN SYRIA

Continuing weeks of near-daily civilian death tolls from the US air war in Eastern Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported that Saturday’s US attacks killed 40 more people, overwhelmingly civilians. The victims were described as mostly women and children.

Saturday’s attacks were against the village of Abu al-Hassan, along the Iraq border. It is adjacent to the ISIS-held towns that the US has been mostly attacking in recent weeks, and which Kurdish ground troops are attempting to invade.

The Syrian Observatory said it was unclear if any of the men killed in the attacks were actually militants, but that 17 children and 12 women were confirmed among the slain. In general, these attacks have targeted residential areas, not militants.

THE ONLY REGIME CHANGE THAT IS NEEDED IS IN WASHINGTON

But my vote for the most magnificent nut in an Administration that is overflowing with such talent would be the esteemed United States Special Representative for Syria Engagement James Jeffrey. The accolade is in part due to the fact that Jeffrey started out relatively sane as a career diplomat with the State Department, holding ambassadorships in Iraq, Turkey, and Albania. He had to work hard to become as demented as he now is but was helped along the way by signing on as a visiting fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), which is a spin-off of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears to me, that my brother and sister Americans are back to a status quo ante, a status of feudal vassals, as we were before the American revolution.

And why do I say this?

Although this can be expressed as a grasp of the in-your-face obvious, the cold, hard reality that the government is only responsive to the already monied, to and certain foreign governments, Israel being among the worst offenders, in terms of having very effectively hijacked American foreign policy to their own ends.

What is great for Israel, is not at all necessarily good for We the People.

Yes, there are moments when a common good for both countries align; but in the world of the 21st century, those moments are consistently fewer and farther between, particularly when comes to the Zionist vision of "Eretz Israel", which means carving off hunks of adjacent countries to perfect and achieve that vision.

The maps tell the story:

Current map of Israel

Map: Eretz Israel

Notice the hunks of Iraq, Syria, Saudia Arabia, Jordan,Lebanon, Egypt and Iraq which will have to be conquered by Israel in order for this "vision" of Eretz Israel to be achieved?!?

It is no accident that Israel cheered for the US invasion and occupation of Iraq; it is no accident that they have cheered the illegal and unwanted US military actions against Syria, including funding and arming the jihadists against the government; it is no accident that they have started the "political rapprochement" process with Saudi Arabia, which they are hoping to use as a proxy force against Iran, working with the US military, as they have been doing in Yemen; and it is no accident that Israel fully expects the US to go to war against Iran for it.

But as always with Israel, these "wins" are only to be purchased primarily at the cost of American blood, and American money.

I look at the media buys the military has been doing lately, with a lot of saturation ads, to encourage our young men and women to join; but the US military is in one horrifically awful dilemma right now.

They don't have the troop strength; the weaponry; the manufacturing (outsourced in the 80s, to make way for the alleged "service economy")or the money to insure a successful outcome to a conventional war against Russia and/or China.

With the mid-terms over, before there is a war against Russia, China, and/or Iran, I would not bet against the re-institution of the draft, coupled with continuing demonization of Russia, China, and Iran.

Please remember the following reality, as stated on Google:

"Virtually all male U.S. citizens, regardless of where they live, and male immigrants, whether documented or undocumented, residing in the United States, who are 18 through 25, are required to register with Selective Service. The law says men must register with Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday."

Veterans Fighting For Benefits After Exposure to Burn Pits in Iraq and Afghanistan

Army National Guard Major Michael Ray started every morning with a run around his military bases while serving as a physician’s assistant in Afghanistan and Iraq. The jogs took Ray, a Sheboygan resident, near the smoke billowing from large pits used by the military to burn trash.

Ray said at the time he and most other service members didn’t think much about the burn pits, which included everything from plastic to scrap metal to ammunition, set ablaze with jet fuel.

Now retired, the 61-year-old Ray said he feels more like an 85-year-old. He said he developed a bad cough that lasted close to a year after returning from Iraq. Ray said he eventually paid for a lung biopsy in December 2017, which revealed he has an incurable lung disease called constrictive bronchiolitis.

After 17 years, many Afghans blame US for unending war

When U.S. forces and their Afghan allies rode into Kabul in November 2001 they were greeted as liberators. But after 17 years of war, the Taliban have retaken half the country, security is worse than it's ever been, and many Afghans place the blame squarely on the Americans. The United States has lost more than 2,400 soldiers in its longest war, and has spent more than $900 billion on everything from military operations to the construction of roads, bridges and power plants. Three U.S. presidents have pledged to bring peace to Afghanistan, either by adding or withdrawing troops, by engaging the Taliban or shunning them ... None of it has worked ... The U.S. has spent $132 billion on Afghanistan's reconstruction - more than was spent on Western Europe after World War II.

SEAL TEAM 6 MEMBERS AND SPECIAL FORCES MARINES CHARGED WITH GREEN BERET MURDER AND COVER-UP

The Navy has formally accused a member of SEAL Team 6 with choking a Green Beret to death last year, and then using his field medic skills to cut open the victim’s throat in an effort to fake a lifesaving technique and cover up the murder.
The gruesome details of the alleged murder of Army Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar, of the 3rd Special Forces Group, while serving in the West African nation of Mali in June 2017, were released yesterday by the Navy as part of charges against two members of SEAL Team 6 and two special forces Marines. The charges were first reported by the Daily Beast.

The four accused special operators and Melgar were serving together on a counterterrorism task force based at the U.S. Embassy in the Malian capital of Bamako. The unit provided intelligence and training for Malian military forces in their battle against Islamic insurgents affiliated with Al Qaeda.

Webmaster's Commentary:

When a government and military teach assassination as a brilliant, complex , multi-colored set of "dark arts", they shouldn't be so surprised when, for whatever reason, they turn on their own, because they believe that they can do it with absolute impunity; that no one will ever know, because they are thoroughly initiated in cover-up techniques; and because their conscience has been surgically removed through this training process, they have no moral qualms about doing just such an act.

Report: State Dept. says Hezbollah flooding Peru, Bolivia with terrorist assets

Massive caravans of migrants heading north to the United States are a problem for many reasons, but one of those reasons that gets overlooked, downplayed, or outright rejected by the Left and its compliant media is that they can be used as a means of infiltrating really bad people into the country.

Like terrorists.

A new report is saying that the United States military has reached crisis mode. The country could “struggle to win” or just as easily lose a war to either Russia or China.

The U.S. “could suffer unacceptably high casualties and loss of major capital assets in its next conflict,” the National Defense Strategy Commission says, according to NBC News. The historic military supremacy of the U.S. has eroded drastically, leaving the country likely unable to fight more than a single war at a time, according to a congressionally chartered report released Wednesday.

America’s Permanent-War Complex

What President Dwight D. Eisenhower dubbed the “military-industrial complex” has been constantly evolving over the decades, adjusting to shifts in the economic and political system as well as international events. The result today is a “permanent-war complex,” which is now engaged in conflicts in at least eight countries across the globe, none of which are intended to be temporary.

This new complex has justified its enhanced power and control over the country’s resources primarily by citing threats to U.S. security posed by Islamic terrorists. But like the old military-industrial complex, it is really rooted in the evolving relationship between the national security institutions themselves and the private arms contractors allied with them.

US Could Lose in War with China or Russia, Panel Warns

The United States is facing a national security and military crisis and could lose in a war against Russia or China, a bipartisan congressional panel warned in a report on Wednesday (Nov 14).

Congress had tasked the National Defence Strategy Commission to look at President Donald Trump's sweeping National Defence Strategy (NDS), which highlights a new era of "Great Power competition" with Moscow and Beijing.

The panel, run by a dozen former top Democratic and Republican officials, found that just as the US military faced budget cuts and diminishing military advantages, authoritarian nations like China and Russia are pursuing buildups aimed "at neutralising US strengths."

2 Navy SEALs, 2 Marines Charged with Murder of Green Beret

Two Navy SEALs and two Marine Raiders are facing murder charges in the 2017 death of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar in a house in Mali, according to charge sheets obtained by USNI News.

The SEALs and Marines are all charged with murder and obstructing justice in the June 4, 2017 death of Melgar. The charge sheets accuse the four of breaking into Melgar’s room, binding him with duct tape while a SEAL choked Melgar to death and then lying to investigators about what had happened.

The criminal charges were preffered to the four on Wednesday, according to a statement from Navy Region Mid-Atlantic provided to USNI News.

SEAL Allegedly Shot Non-Combatants, Held Reenlistment Ceremony with Corpse

A Navy SEAL who allegedly stabbed a wounded ISIS fighter to death last year is also accused of shooting two noncombatants, one of them a woman; posing for photos with and holding a reenlistment ceremony next to a human corpse; and using and possessing controlled substances, according to his charge sheet.

The charge sheet, obtained and first reported by Task and Purpose, alleges that Chief Special Warfare Operator Edward Gallagher also fired his weapon at noncombatants at various occasions during a 2017 deployment in the region of Mosul, Iraq with Naval Special Warfare Group One. During that deployment and in the year following, he is accused of attempting to impede the probe into his alleged wrongdoing by discouraging members of his unit from talking to investigators.

Macron's European Army Idea: The View From Poland

French President Emmanuel Macron has sparked a continental debate after calling for the creation of a pan-European army to defend against Russia, China and even the United States. Speaking to Sputnik, Krzysztof Podgorski, a Polish political and military observer, explained why the proposal, while an interesting one, is Western European-centric.

Speaking ahead of Remembrance Day commemorations last week, French President Macron announced that Europe needs a "real army" to reduce the continent's military dependence on the United States, and to strengthen continental defence against would-be aggressors.

Successful failure: Pentagon admits it never even expected to ‘pass’ multi-million audit

The US Department of Defense spent over $360 million to confirm there are problems in the $2.7 trillion organization, but the Pentagon leadership considers the mere fact that this “first-ever” audit happened was a great success.

“We never thought we were going to pass an audit, right? Everyone was betting against us that we wouldn’t even do the audit,” Deputy Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan told reporters on Thursday, announcing the end of the eleven-month process.

Pentagon Fails Audit as Official Admits 'We Never Thought We Were Going to Pass'

The Pentagon has failed its first-ever audit, according to the second highest ranking Pentagon official.

"We never thought we were going to pass an audit, right? Everyone was betting against us that we wouldn't even do the audit," Deputy Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan told reporters Thursday at the Pentagon, as quoted by Defense News. The DoD's Office of Inspector General is expected to release the full-scope audit Thursday.

Why the Most Expensive Military Ever Still Can’t Win a War

Lack of funding is clearly not the problem. Increased funding could even invite more bad actors, scammers, and fraudsters into the fray. When you have that kind of cash to hand out, and no accountability, it creates a situation rife for corruption. -- And the saddest part of all is the opportunity cost for American taxpayers. -- We are talking about almost a quarter of the entire US budget here… Imagine how strong the economy would be if that money stayed in the hands of the American people.

In Close Vote, House Blocks Debate on Yemen WarVote was tied to bill cracking down on gray wolves

On Wednesday, in a vote heavily along party lines, the House passed the Manage our Wolves Act 201-187. The vote effectively blocked all debate on the war in Yemen, and precluded that conflict from coming up for a future vote.

This is the second straight year that an attempt to challenge America’s unauthorized involvement in the Yemen War under the War Powers Act has been derailed by House leadership through last minute rule changes. This time, it required tying the rule change to a vote about gray wolves.

This led to a bizarre situation where they were debating the constitutionality of the Yemen War on one side, and the desire to shoot gray wolves on the other side. This was meant to give cover to lawmakers, to say they were voting because of the wolves instead of the unpopular Saudi-led war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

How could you expect anything less from "alleged" representatives, when our President is rapidly earning his "merchant of death - in chief" title?!?

You have to wonder; how stupid, or plain crazy, was this move to tie it ton issue resolving the gray wolf problem?!? Perhaps they knew this conflation would be the KOD (Kiss of Death) in the issue of the US-Enabled Saudi War against Yemen?!?

And one has to wonder; just how much did Saudi Arabia "contribute" to the campaigns of those who chose to scotch the deal?!?

In this part of the 21st century's US political cycle, politicians are simply ""assets", to be sold to the highest corporate/state-sponsored bidder; they utterly no longer represent We the People; they represent "Those the Monied"

Forgive my cynicism here, but I am almost to the point of believing that if elections really changed anything in this country, they wouldn't be allowed to happen.

US’ $6 Trillion War on Terror Bill Expected to Grow Larger

The US War on Terror rages on after more than 17 years, during which time the US has become involved on the ground in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan. Now, the war is poised to reach a total cost of $6 trillion by the end of 2019.

That's enough money to end world hunger for 200 years using the metric of $30 billion annually, which is provided by the United Nations.

The $6 trillion figure comes from the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University in their annual "Cost of War" project.

The total cost estimated by the researchers is higher than that of the US military's costs because it includes War on Terror-related spending like the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security.

Because the US goes to war with loans, estimates that don't include interest, such as this one, are considered conservative.

White House Weighs Kicking Out Cleric Gulen From US To Appease Erdogan; Lira Surges

In what is the most shocking geopolitical news of the day, NBC reports that the Trump administration is weighing extraditing the nemesis of Turkish President Recep Erdogan, cleric Fethulah Gulen who has been living for years in relative seclusion in rural Pennsylvania, from the U.S. in order to placate Turkey over the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

According to the NBC report, Trump administration officials last month asked federal law enforcement agencies to examine legal ways of removing the exiled Turkish cleric in an attempt to persuade Erdogan to ease pressure on the Saudi government. The effort includes directives to the Justice Department and FBI that officials reopen Turkey's case for his extradition, as well as a request to the Homeland Security Department for information about his legal status, four sources told NBC.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I am having a Jean-Luc Picard double face palm, upon reading this!!

The White House HAS to know that this guy will get tortured to say ANYTHING Erdogan wants him to stay, and "publicly confess", and that he is able to absolutely bend DC to his will on this issue.

6 RECENT US ANTIWAR PROTESTS THE MEDIA DOESN'T WANT YOU TALKING ABOUT

A friend told me yesterday that he hadn’t seen an antiwar protest in America in ten years. It was a sincere comment; he genuinely hadn’t seen any coverage on any peace activism in his country during that time. And of course he hadn’t; it is mainstream media’s job to distort public narratives in favor of the war-hungry plutocratic class which owns the media outlets. But I’ve actually been noticing a lot of antiwar activism lately which, while often far from the spotlight of mass media attention, has given me much hope for the future.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Foreign policy in this country is ultimately outsourced to the people/countries who, and which, can pay the most for it.

Right now, the highest bidders, and owners, for US foreign policy are, respectively, Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Israel has shared an absolutely, fact-free, poisoned narration of its relationship with Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and all of the rest of the countries which surround it with President Trump, and he has absolutely taken the bait. Of course that "bait" was "sweetened" by the very generous donations of the casino mogul, Sheldon Adelson, and his wife Miriam.

Sheldon and Miriam Adelson gave $55 milion in September to support Trump and the Republicans

That is why The unhinged, surveilled state of Amerika, is in such a loop of endless wars, followed by new wars, with no real justification for why it must be the US who must fight them in the first place. The "Payoffs" to Adelson and Israel were:

1. The US declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel
2. The withdrawal of the US from the P5+1 agreement, and the imposition of horrific sanctions against Iran, and putting the US on a "war footing" against Iran, which Israel sees as its "existential threat" in the region
3. Massively more money for Israel's military
4. Keeping US troops in Syria "to answer the "scourge" of Iranian troops staying in that country, coordinating with the Russian and Syrian troops, to wipe out the last of the US-funded jihadists (This, potentially, may lead to a hot war in Russia, but hey, who cares?!?)
5. Cutting off any funds for humanitarian aid for Gaza
6. The awarding of the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Miriam Adelson
Miriam Adelson Receives the Presidential Medal of Freedom
(Wow; I guess that in current circles, that can be bought also)
7. Letting Prime Minister Netanyahu have an absolutely free hand with the Palestinians, including stealing and annexing their land, which has belonged to Palestinian families for generations, and engineering borders encroaching Palestinian residents' land for use by the the illegal Jewish settlers, which means that it is now impossible for the Palestinians to have a contiguous state.
6. President Trump's NOT reading the riot act when Israel passed the controversial nation-state law Israel passes nation State Law. The bill went on to state: "Israel passed early Thursday a controversial bill that officially defines Israel as the national homeland of the Jewish people and asserts that "the realization of the right to national self-determination in Israel is unique to the Jewish people," sparking outrage from Israel's Arab community and provoking concern from the international community."

Now, let us turn to President Trump's other BFF,Saudi Arabia's Prince Mohammed bin Salman, AKA, the Butcher of Yemen. And what has the "payoff" been here for Saudi Arabia?!?

1. The opportunity to purchase lots of weapons with which to create a genocide in Yemen.

In fact, President Trump and the US's own Mike Pompeo thought this so important that he lied to Congress about what Saudi Arabia was going to do with those weapons. Pompeo lied to Congress about Yemen to protect Arms Sales
2. The US has aided and abetted Saudi war crimes in Yemen, which include:

A - The deliberate killing of infants, women, and the medically fragile elderly. Images; Yemeni children slaughtered or maimed for live, courtesy of Saudi bombing raids

B - The US-enabled blockading of Yemen ports, leading to massive starvation, and a cholera epidemic (possibly weaponized):

Images: Yemeni children dying from malnutrition

Images: Yemeni children sicked by cholera

3. The deafening conspiracy of silence on this war from the American Presstitutes.

4. Possible assistance from the US on starting up a nuclear weapons program Congress members want Trump to report on Saudi Arabia's nuclear ambitions

5. A covert, but growing alliance with Israel against their alleged common enemy, Iran.

6. The US giving the Prince "cover" on Saudi Arabia's brutal execution of Adnan Khashoggi, even though this may well have been planned by the Crown Prince himself.

It is sobering to think, that President Trump's two BFFs in the Middle East, are the most ruthless, tyrannical leaders in that part of the world; Israel's Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu, the Butcher of Gaza, and Saudi Crown Prince bin Salman, the Butcher of Yemen.

Trump ‘Trade War’ Hides Military Industrial Agenda

In geopolitics events are rarely what they seem to be. This is especially true when we look more closely at the otherwise bizarre “war” launched this spring under the guise of trade war, supposedly redressing America’s huge annual balance of trade deficits, the most extreme being that with China. The true driver behind Washington’s otherwise inexplicable tariff war attacks on especially China make sense when we view them through the prism of a new Administration report on the defense industrial base of the United States .

When it comes to North Korea, who's really being deceptive?

In the vaguely worded agreement, Trump and Kim pledged to build a "lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula" and to "work toward complete denuclearization" of the peninsula.

Pyongyang is not violating that pledge by continuing to operate missile sites. In fact, most analysts agree Kim would be foolish to dismantle active facilities without a signed agreement.

In his New Year's address, the North Korean leader called on his nation to bolster its nuclear deterrent by mass producing missiles and nuclear warheads.

Kim is just doing exactly what he promised.

Senator Rand Paul secured a vote to proceed to S.J. Pence: "All-Out Cold War" Coming If China Doesn't Change Course; "We Won't Back Down"

The Washington Post's Josh Rogin has revealed stunning comments issued by Vice President Mike Pence during a conversation between the two aboard Air Force Two as the VP traveled for an official trip to Asia this week, where he landed in Singapore for regional summits highlighting Indo-Pacific security, trade and investment.

Pence reportedly said the White House is prepared to undertake take dramatic policy changes regarding China if Beijing does not capitulate to its demands as the trade war continues. In addition to the issue of tariffs, pressing security issues include the US demanding Chinese cessation of what's reported to be widespread intellectual property theft and refusal to recognized America freedom of navigation through and above the South China Sea.

According to Rogin, Pence went so far as to speak of "an all-out Cold War" during the interview, promising that:

I would like to politely remind Vice President Pence, how trade wars have a very nasty way of evolving into a hot wars

Bolton Vows to ‘Squeeze’ Iran, Escalating Sanctions

With the newly reimposed US sanctions against Iran having little to no perceivable economic impact, national security adviser John Bolton is talking up his plans to continue to escalate the sanctions track, saying he will “squeeze Iran until the pips squeak.”

Bolton shrugged off the reality that Iran is still doing business internationally, saying that he believes Iran is “under real pressure” from the sanctions, and that he’s determined to see it keep getting worse.

Bolton went on to predict that the European efforts to keep trading with Iran would ultimately fail. He said the Europeans are going through the six stages of grief, and would ultimately lead to European acceptance of the US demands.

Webmaster's Commentary:

With sa growing number of countries ignoring the sanctions outright, what does Bolton think the US should do with all the countries still trading outright, declare war on them?!?

Russia announces Taliban’s demands for US

Afghanistan’s Taliban will negotiate with the central government in Kabul only after the United States agrees to leave the country, according to a senior Russian diplomat.

Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s special envoy for Afghanistan, announced the Taliban’s demands on Monday after hosting an international summit on the country’s crisis that was attended by other members of a security bloc led by Russia and China. The Taliban want the United States to undertake a number of “confidence-building measures,” starting with a deadline for a full withdrawal from the country.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Perhaps this is the reason why US Under Secretary of State David Hale got so thoroughly unhinged about this meeting with the Taliban and Russia, as to characterize them in the very negative way he did; he knew both what the Taliban wanted (a timetable for US military withdrawal), and that the US government would refuse these terms, immediately and unequivocally.

House Leadership Aims to Stop Debate on US Involvement in Saudi War in Yemen

On Wednesday, a measure is being advanced at the behest of House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) aiming to derail House Continuing Resolution 138, a War Powers Act challenge which would force an end to the US military involvement in the Saudi-led War in Yemen.

Under the War Powers Act, any individual lawmaker is intended to be able to raise the matter of an unauthorized war for debate and a vote on the floor. Efforts to do so have failed, however, as the House leadership has used the Rules Committee to sidestep the issue.

This move to derail the debate is part of the first day of lame-duck House business, and Rep. Ryan and the other leaders seem to be hoping to turn the legal challenge of the war into a partisan issue. Minority Whip Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD) accused the Republican leadership of shirking Congressional responsibility.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Folks, this is all about two things; the billions the weaponry companies are making from Saudi Arabia, and about continuing and abetting their war crimes in Yemen, rather than having a national discussion of the moral costs to this country these actions have had. (warning: highly graphic images):

The Saudis are assassinating women, children, or maiming them for life with their bombing raids:

Images: dead and crippled Yemeni children, courtesy of Saudi Bombing Raids

The US enabled blockade of Yemeni ports, means that desperately needed food, and medical supplies cannot be distributed, lead to massive death by malnutrition:

Images: Yemeni children dying of malnutrition.

And now, as the Yemeni people become weaker through malnutrition, there is a cholera epidemic here that has turned absolutely vicious.

Images: Yemeni children treated for cholera

I for one want to see this carnage stopped, immediately, and negotiations among all sides leading to a cease fire, and peace talks among all parties to resolve this horrific war.

And President Trump, I would like to strongly caution you that the optics here internationally...couldn't possibly be worse, for this country, and its participation on the genocide of Yemen, courtesy of one of your BFFs in the region, The Butcher of Yemen, AKA Crown Prince bin Salman.

Russia jammed GPS during major NATO military exercise with US troops

The Russian military jammed GPS signals during a major NATO military exercise in Norway that involved thousands of US and NATO troops, the alliance said Wednesday, citing the Norwegian government.

The NATO exercise, Trident Juncture, concluded Sunday and involved some 50,000 personnel. It was labeled the alliance's largest exercise since the Cold War. Non-NATO members Finland and Sweden also participated in the exercise.
A spokesperson for the Norwegian ministry of defense acknowledged the jamming to CNN, which it said took place between October 16 and November 7, and said it would defer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on further questions to Russian authorities.

"Norway has determined that Russia was responsible for jamming GPS signals in the Kola Peninsula during Exercise Trident Juncture. Finland has expressed concern over possible jamming in Lapland," NATO spokesperson Oana Lungescu told CNN Wednesday.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Right now, all we have is an allegation.

Where, please, is the irrefutable truth that this happened?!?

The short answer, right now... is nowhere.

A "determination", without hard evidence, is just that; sound and fury, ultimately signifying... nothing.

The British Army is carrying out a massive test of military robots and drones

The British Army is testing out over 70 new technologies, including unmanned vehicles and surveillance drones, in a four-week experiment on one of its biggest training grounds.

What sort of stuff? The department isn’t giving out specifics but said the focus will be on “surveillance, long-range, and precision targeting, enhanced mobility and the re-supply of forces, urban warfare and enhanced situational awareness.” The development is part of a £800 million “innovation fund” launched in 2016.

The aim? Primarily it’s about reducing the danger to troops during combat, according to the UK’s Ministry of Defense (MoD). One of the main areas it’ll test is “last mile” supply of fuel, food, and ammunition. The exercise will culminate in a simulated battle involving over 200 soldiers to test out the ideas and products.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I would fully suspect that The gap between the rhetoric, and the actual reality of what these agencies want to achieve with these machines, is probably far larger than the British public is being told, at least for the moment.

When given the kind of money to make this technology work, expect that those in control of developing it, may decide to actually create a monster, incapable of being made to stop what it is doing, which will have the capability to tear humans to shreds.

Merkel joins Macron in call for ‘real, true’ European army after Trump slams idea

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has called for a “real, true” European army to be created, just days after French President Emmanuel Macron did the same – and received backlash from Donald Trump for doing so.

“We should work on a vision of one day establishing a real European army,” Merkel said during an address to MEPs at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Monday.

That statement was an apparent nod of support to Macron, who last week said that Europe has to “protect ourselves with respect to China, Russia, and even the United States of America.” Europe cannot do so, he said, “unless we decide to have a true European army.”

Why the most expensive military ever still can’t win a war

I can’t remember what they decided to spend the money on. But they definitely used it. He said he would often come across unused equipment in the Pentagon that seemed out of place… and conclude that it must have been to eat up budget surpluses.

This anecdote shouldn’t be surprising. The military only seems to pinch pennies when it comes to taking caring of veterans who have sacrificed their physical and mental health for the Pentagon.

The Air Force spent $300,000 over the last few years on coffee mugs. But these aren’t just any coffee mugs. These attach to an airplane’s control panel, and keep the coffee hot! Soup too–they will keep soup hot as well. Quite versatile.

And each mug only costs $1,200. Which is strange, since I remember my dad getting a similar device for Christmas one year that plugged into the cigarette lighter in the car. And I can’t imagine my mom spending more than $29.95 on such a gift.
