After stepping on a nail at home, I went to my medical clinic, asked for a Tetanus shot as a precaution. I was told that a Tetanus shot, alone, would cost me $50.00; but if I received a 'DTP' (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis) inoculation, it would only cost me $7.00.

After choosing this cheaper vaccine, I came down with a case of Pertussis (whooping Cough) so bad, so persistent, I pulled one of my short ribs, and tore my pectoral muscle on my left side. Because I thought the torn pectoral muscle also included issues with my heart, I went to a heart specialist who told me, after monitoring my heart, my aortic valve was not opening and closing properly. After three months, several series of antibiotics, I finally got better.

To this day, my heart stills suffers from what happened. I will never, ever take another vaccine again.
