Ma Ferguson, A Puppet Governor | WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

Ma Ferguson, A Puppet Governor

The history books list Miriam Amanda Ferguson, or Ma as she was known, as the first female governor of Texas and one of the first women to hold the position of governor in the United States. She took office in 1925, just five years after the ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920 that granted women the right to vote.
