Supreme Court rules against prayer at municipal council meetings

The Supreme Court of Canada ruled unanimously this morning that elected officials do not have the right to recite prayers at municipal council meetings.

The case dates back to 2007, when a resident of Saguenay, Que., complained about councillors praying in public at city hall.
