Snow burst delays school openings in Morris

A stronger-than-expected burst of snow early Friday morning resulted in some delayed school openings and at least one closure in Morris County.

UPDATE: The Montville School District, which had previously announced a delayed opening, has announced a full closure for the day.

"It is snowing quite heavily and the roads are slippery," Parsippany Mayor Michael Soriano advised residents on his Facebook page at 6 a.m. "Our DPW trucks are salting the roads at this time. The snow should continue for another hour, please be safe out there."
