DNC Deputy Chair Keith Ellison: National Borders Create ‘An Injustice’

Democratic National Committee Deputy Chair Keith Ellison claimed during a recent interview that national borders creates an “injustice” for illegal aliens trying to cross them.

The shocking comments came during an interview with Rabbi Michael Lerner.

“Look, the so-called, or what we used to call ‘the First World,’ the developed part of the world, relies on for it’s prosperity — let’s be honest, on low wages, low levels of civil and human rights enforcement, low levels of environmental protection — in what we used to call ‘the Third World,’” Ellison began.

“So our prosperity is based on the want that is experienced in other parts of the world and it’s important to understand that we should give something back,” Ellison continued. “If there’s prosperity all over the globe then why would anyone want to leave a place where they speak the language, they have their family, they know the culture uhh — just to go to another place to be discriminated against and mistreated?”

Abolishing ICE Would Free 1.4M Criminal Illegal Aliens, Triple Population of Miami

Abolishing the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency — which is responsible for arresting and deporting criminal illegal aliens — would have released more than 1.4 million criminal illegal aliens into American communities in the last half decade.

Analysis conducted by Breitbart News reveals that had ICE been eliminated five years ago, there would have been about 1,406,051 criminal illegal aliens released into the American public rather than being arrested and deported.

This is a criminal illegal alien population that is more than triple the population of Miami, Florida.

Most recently, House and Senate Democrats have made abolishing ICE and all immigration enforcement part of their unofficial platform ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

House GOP Pins 167 Democrats With ‘Abolish ICE’ Vote

GOP legislators wrapped the unpopular “Abolish ICE!” campaign around House Democrats on Wednesday, by forcing a floor vote where 167 Democrats abstained or voted against a resolution praising the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

Democratic leaders protested and denounced the resolution, which was passed by 226 GOP votes. “This is the equivalent of fiddling while Rome is burning … It is a meaningless stunt,” said Democratic Rep. Ralph Nadler. “We have more important things to do.”

Democrats are under growing pressure from their progressive base to block ICE’s popular immigration reforms. But that is electoral poison, so Democratic leaders have been trying to shift attention back to higher priorities issues such as healthcare.

Only 18 Democrats voted for the GOP’s pro-enforcement resolution, while 34 Democrats voted against the resolution and 133 abstained by voting “present” in the hope of minimizing the blowback from ordinary voters or the progressive base.

Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg backtracks on comments about Holocaust deniers

Facebook may be locked in a battle against fake news, and now CEO Mark Zuckerberg is backtracking on claims that the social network won’t ban Holocaust deniers.

Zuckerberg gave the explanation to Recode after the site aired audio of the Facebook founder claiming “abhorrent” content, the New York Post reported, had a right to spread across his massive social media network.

“I personally find Holocaust denial deeply offensive, and I absolutely didn’t intend to defend the intent of people who deny that,” Zuckerberg told the website later. “Of course if a post crossed a line into advocating for violence or hate against a particular group, it would be removed. … These issues are very challenging but I believe that often the best way to fight offensive bad speech is with good speech.”

Earlier, Zuckerberg had spoken differently.

How Entertainment Shows Have Become Vehicles for Gun Control Propaganda

All of the major television networks use their primetime entertainment shows to push a pro-gun control agenda. Liberal television executives apparently think that they have the power to change Americans’ attitudes.

Not liking guns has been portrayed as cool for a long time. It is an old theme that dates back to the original 1980s MacGyver series, in which the titular character avoids using guns and expresses his aversion to them. This theme has continued with the current remake.

But the push to sway public opinion really seems to have picked up. This spring on ABC’s “The Crossing,” the sheriff’s young son says, “I don’t like guns” when a deputy suggests he may someday replace his father. The deputy appears discomforted by the exchange.

Instagram censors Planned Parenthood meme posted by black activist… the PURGE of speech continues

Instagram has censored a factually correct meme that reveals more black lives are killed by abortion every two weeks than were killed in an entire century of lynching by the KKK.

The claim is factually true, but Instagram doesn’t like truth when it reveals the murder rate of Planned Parenthood. Here’s the full story via the Christian Post:

Instagram deleted a meme comparing the number of blacks lynched by the Ku Klux Klan to the number of black fetuses aborted by Planned Parenthood.

Ryan Bomberger, black co-founder of the pro-life Radiance Foundation who was conceived during the rape of his mother, is defending a controversial meme he created blasting abortion giant Planned Parenthood as worse than the KKK after Instagram said it encourages violence.

Mark Levin on ‘Psychopaths’ in the Media: ‘They’ve Had More Positions on Russia Than Stormy Daniels’

During a Tuesday appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” network host Mark Levin reacted to the backlash President Donald Trump has received from the “psychopaths” in the media over his meeting with Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

Levin accused the media of having “more positions on Russia” than pornstar Stormy Daniels has in her line of work.

“What we’ve learned about the media, several of the hosts and guests, is we have a lot of psychopaths out there, that’s for sure,” Levin told host Sean Hannity.

“How do you really feel?” Hannity asked.

Donald Trump: No Confidence in Intelligence Led by Brennan, Clapper, Comey

President Donald Trump said that he respected the intelligence agencies but not the former prominent figures who made their careers into criticizing his presidency.

“It’s been terrible,” Trump told CBS anchor Jeff Glor, citing the names of former CIA director John Brennan, former director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, Former Director of the National Security Agency Michael Hayden, former FBI director James Comey, as well as prominent FBI agents Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, and Peter Strzok.

The president responded to a question from Glor about whether or not he felt that former intelligence agents were “out to get him.” Trump said that he had difficulty trusting their judgement, as they stood vehmently against him.

“Certainly I can’t have any confidence in the past,” Trump said, citing the “all of the shenanigans that have gone on” in the intelligence community under former President Barack Obama.

“Very hard to have confidence in that group,” he added.

Luongo: "US Politics Is Reaching A Breaking Point"

Putin declared the Cold War over. Pat Buchanan agrees and so do I. For as much grief as I give Donald Trump for his many missteps in foreign policy, his going to first Singapore and then Helsinki in the service of peace and better relations is more than commendable.

It was necessary.

Donald Trump may not be the President many of us wanted.

But, like it or not, he is both the president we have and the one we deserve. Our politics have been on a collision course with the bottom of the cesspit since 9/11.

We have bathed in the waters of “the archipelago of War Party think tanks beavering away inside the Beltway,” as Buchanan put it in his recent article, and come out stinking like either liberal interventionists or neoconservatives.

Or do I repeat myself.

IN NEWLY OBTAINED MEMO, CONGRESS’S TOP COP SAID HOUSE DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS SERVER VANISHED

A secret memo marked “URGENT” detailed how the House Democratic Caucus’s server went “missing” soon after it became evidence in a cybersecurity probe. The secret memo also said more than “40 House offices may have been victims of IT security violations.”

In the memo, Congress’s top law enforcement official, Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving, along with Chief Administrative Officer Phil Kiko, wrote, “We have concluded that the employees [Democratic systems administrator Imran Awan and his family] are an ongoing and serious risk to the House of Representatives, possibly threatening the integrity of our information systems and thereby members’ capacity to serve constituents.”

The memo, addressed to the Committee on House Administration (CHA) and dated Feb. 3, 2017, was recently reviewed and transcribed by The Daily Caller News Foundation. The letter bolsters TheDCNF’s previous reporting about the missing server and evidence of fraud on Capitol Hill.

Mansour: If You Think U.S. Intelligence Is Never Wrong, I Have Some Yellowcake for You

The remonstrations of history are rarely heeded in moments of mass hysteria, and the current frenzy to punish Russia for “stealing” the election from Hillary Clinton is no different.

While it’s nice to see the Party of Alger Hiss finally take America’s side in a conflict with Russia, the Democrats’ new bellicosity seems a bit cynical. As Ann Coulter mused, it would have been nice to have “this fighting spirit about 50 years ago when the Soviet Union sought total world domination and Stalin’s spies were crawling through the U.S. government.” But, hey, I’m old enough to remember when Democrats believed the greatest threat to world peace was “climate change.” At least now they’re not tilting at windmills!

But before these new Cold Warriors and their neocon fellow travelers lead us into a crusade based on an FBI report about a computer server the bureau never got to inspect, perhaps we should consider the track record of U.S. intelligence in times of war.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Let s not forget the US intelligence agencies totally missed the Soviet Union's plans to invade Afghanistan, not to mention the collapse of the USSR itself.

And the FBI still insists Vince Foster committed suicide.

Democrat Adam Smith’s Blatant Lie to Tucker Carlson: “12 Indicted Russians Had Regular Contact with High-Ranking Trump Officials” (VIDEO)

Rep. Adam Smith: The crime is they hacked into our DNC server and did a whole bunch of other disinformation campaigns to try to influence our election. A foreign power tried to do that. Also in this indictment it shows that the twelve Russian operatives had regular contact with high-ranking Trump officials.

Huh?

That’s news. Where the hell did it say that?

Actually, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said last week there was no allegation in this indictment that any American citizen committed a crime. Rosenstein said NOTHING about the twelve Russians having ANY CONTACT with ANY Trump official.
This was just a blatant lie by Adam Smith trying desperately to link the Trump campaign to Russia… Something that Democrats, Mueller and the liberal media have been unable to do after a year-and-a-half of investigating.

HONEYMOON is Over: Joe Lieberman Calls For Dems To Reject Ocasio-Cortez

Former Democratic vice-presidential candidate and Connecticut senator Joe Lieberman has come forward to urge New York voters to reject Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in November and vote for the man she upset in the Democratic primary, incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley. Lieberman also urged Crowley to stay in the race.

Writing in The Wall Street Journal, Lieberman writes:

Because the policies Ms. Ocasio-Cortez advocates are so far from the mainstream, her election in November would make it harder for Congress to stop fighting and start fixing problems … Fortunately, Joe Crowley and the voters in his district can prevent this damage.

Lieberman takes aim at the hard-left wing of the Democratic Party: “Ms. Ocasio-Cortez is a proud member of the Democratic Socialists of America, whose platform, like hers, is more Socialist than Democratic. Her dreams of new federal spending would bankrupt the country or require very large tax increases, including on the working class.”

EXCLUSIVE: Riverside gun store confronts Sacha Baron Cohen after he comes to business in disguise

A Riverside gun store owner has harsh words for Sacha Baron Cohen after he says he caught the actor showing up to his business in disguise and under false pretense, and it was all caught on surveillance video.

The video was provided exclusively to FOX 11.

It happened at Warrior One Guns & Ammo in February 2017. That’s when owner Norris Sweidan told FOX 11 Cohen and a camera met him while claiming to be filming a documentary about a Hungarian immigrant wanting to buy a gun.

“He comes in, off the bat you can see in the video I’m looking like, this guy does not look like a Hungarian immigrant, tight ass leather pants, a beard, it just didn’t fit,” Sweidan said. “The moment his words came out of his mouth I was like this guy is full of s***.”

Sweidan told FOX 11 Cohen said he wanted to buy a gun, but said it with a very odd sounding accent he didn’t find credible.

STOP LEGAL 'HARASSMENT' BY LGBTS, COURT ASKED

The Thomas More Law Society is asking a judge to halt the “harassment” by LGBT activists of a private think tank, the Center for Military Readiness.

The LGBT community has asked a court to subpoena all of CMR’s private communications, records and electronic files for the entirety of Donald Trump’s candidacy and presidency.

The demands include all of the communications on the public policy of transgenders in the military or transgenders in general.

But CMR isn’t even a part of the lawsuit.

Kate Oliveri, TMLC trial counsel and the principal attorney representing CMR, said the “intrusive subpoena seeks information irrelevant to the underlying case in which CMR has no part.”

“It is an example of those pushing identity politics attempting to bully and silence any opposition through an abuse of the legal process,” she said.

The lawsuit between transgender activists and the president is in U.S. district court in Washington state.

Mad Maxine Follower: South Dakota Police/FBI Arrest Antifa Activist With Guns and Extensive Bomb-making Material…

When Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters demanded the advancement of political violence, many began warning she was lighting a fuse for a resurgence of activity similar to the Weather Underground bombings. As if on cue, a few days later former domestic political terrorist Bill Ayers surfaced and began immediately supporting the same.

As with the historic reference points, these dangerous left-wing provocations lead to a predictable conclusion. Quite simply, democrats support political violence. Former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, famously told the U.S. media that she supported the anarchist and Occupy movement: “God Bless these people“. In 2018 the “Occupy” movement is rebranded in the “ANTIFA” movement. It is all the same ideology.

The Strangelove Factor

Eric Margolis’ incisive article, Russia’s New Monster Weapon, begins by discussing the classic 1964 Cold War seriocomic satire Dr. Strangelove: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, which parodied the development of a Soviet doomsday weapon in reference to Russia’s contemporary development of a new doomsday nuclear torpedo in preparation for Cold War II.

Codenamed by NATO ‘Kanyon,’ it’s reportedly something new and terrifying, a ‘third strike’ weapon designed to obliterate the US east and west coasts in a nuclear war. US intelligence seems to think this doomsday weapon is very real indeed.

They’re Not Sending Their Best=> Suspected San Francisco Serial Rapist is Illegal Alien Driver for Lyft

Ride-sharing company Lyft said Tuesday that it’s investigating how a former driver now charged in a series of rapes passed a background check even though federal immigration officials say the suspect was living in the country illegally.

The San Francisco district attorney’s office charged Orlando Vilchez Lazo, 36, with raping four women while posing as a ride-share driver in San Francisco.

Lyft spokeswoman Kate Margolis said the company is investigating Lazo’s employment history.

She said company officials “have no reason to believe these incidents occurred” while the suspect was on duty.

Margolis didn’t respond to requests for the timeframe of the suspect’s employment with the company. Company officials told other media outlets Vilchez Lazo was “deactivated” as a Lyft driver last week after his arrest.

James Comey Goes Nuclear Putin Summit

Because we’ve not yet heard enough from James ‘the Leaker’ Comey, we’ve been treated to yet more self-aggrandizing tweets in the last 72 hours that make the president’s seem a bit tame by comparison. Comey blasted Trump after the Putin summit calling for voters to give control to Democrats. This from an alleged ‘Republican’ official. But what’s more inane about his comments are the faux patriotism, as if Comey didn’t lie under oath, use the FBI to collude with the Hillary campaign and aid Obama in illegal monitoring of a presidential campaign. Ironically, that’s the sort of stuff we might expect of the Putin regime.

Here’s more from The Daily Caller…

Former FBI Director James Comey said that “all who believe in this country’s values must vote for Democrats” and that Republicans have been “incapable” in a Tuesday tweet.

Vitol and coal company Peabody are putting about £8million each into London-based start-up Arq fuels, which has discovered how to extract particles of hydrocarbons from waste at coal mines and convert them into a liquid that can be combined with fuel or crude oil.

As well as investing in Arq, Vitol will blend the result, called Arq Fuel, into its products.

The first Arq Fuel is due to be available in 2019.

Facebook's U-turn - as it realises its scam email wasn't a scam after all - is an example of how difficult it is to spot genuine messages, says LEE BOYCE

This week we reported on an email offering £70 to do a survey that looked like it was sent by Facebook. The social media giant said it was a scam.

That reply came when This is Money contacted Facebook. We were told that it was a scam and as such, to report it to its scam centre.

But then a day later something strange happened: Facebook got back in touch with a U-turn - the email was genuine after all.

That's a pretty embarrassing state of affairs for Facebook - and it's disappointing for This is Money because it means that we reported something we had told was true, only to discover that wasn't the case.

So, how did this all happen and what does it say about how difficult everyday people find it to tell scammers and genuine messages apart?

Despite May’s Brexit Concessions, EU Negotiator Pushes For More Irish Border Control

European Union (EU) Brexit negotiators are not keen on the Prime Minister’s customs plans for a “soft” Brexit and are set to continue hammering the UK on the issue of the Irish border at up-and-coming talks.
The bloc’s unelected bureaucrats are still intent on forcing the UK into agreeing to a “backstop” if the border cannot be kept completely open, which would cut the province off from the rest of the UK by locking it in to the bloc’s Single Market.

Sources said Michel Barnier, the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator, is not convinced that Theresa May’s Chequers white paper will lead to a final agreement on customs and trade arrangements.

“No one sees this as a real landing zone, apart from the Brits,” they told The Times. “The priority is Ireland and getting the withdrawal agreement over the line for autumn.”

BRICS group of emerging economies close ranks in face of US trade aggression

Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the BRICS Summit in South Africa next week. The emerging economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China & South Africa will address challenges posed by escalating trade disputes with US.

The annual summit of the bloc will be held from July 25-27 in Johannesburg and will be attended by heads of the world’s leading developing nations. Home to 43 percent of the world’s population, four of the top BRICS economies are ranked in the world’s top 15 by GDP size, namely China (second), India (sixth), Brazil (eighth) and Russia (11th).

The BRICS meeting comes at a time when the US is trying to withdraw from global trade agreements that were first signed to serve its interests. Witnesses warned about ASBESTOS after massive steam pipe explosion in rush hour Manhattan leaves a gaping CRATER in the middle of Fifth Avenue

A steam pipe exploded in Manhattan on Thursday morning as millions of commuters made their way to work, leaving an enormous hole on Fifth Avenue and sparking concerns of asbestos exposure.

The blast happened at 6.40am between 21st and 22nd street outside the retailer Club Monaco. It was first categorized as a 2 alarm incident but it rose to being a 3 alarm within an hour of the explosion.

There were no injuries as a result of the blast but it sent dirty water, steam and smoke spewing into the air and pouring down the busy street.

Con Edison, which looks after the steam pipe system across New York City, is now testing the air and steam for asbestos or other contaminant and anyone who may have been exposed is being told to shower immediately and bag their clothing.

The FDNY has set up a red decontamination tent in the area to hose down anyone who was showered with debris.

They expect to know whether there is asbestos in the air by noon.

Health Basics QUIZ: Which kills more Americans, cancer or chemotherapy?

On average, chemotherapy fails more than 97 percent of the cancer victims who’ve been prescribed this mainstream “medicine.” Wait, what? How is that mainstream, and why? If this factual information is shocking you to the core right now, we’re going to have to wait a minute or two for you to recover, before we inform you about how many Americans have already died from chemotherapy.

Seventy-five percent of physicians and oncologists REFUSE chemotherapy for themselves and their loved ones, knowing the ensuing misery and failure rate

Michael McFaul, former ambassador to Russia, finds new voice criticizing Trump

When Michael McFaul was the U.S. ambassador to Russia, he used social media to debate policy with everyday Russians and clashed online with the country’s trolls in their own language.

But these days, the Stanford political science professor has a new Twitter nemesis: President Donald Trump.

In a way that’s atypical of most former ambassadors, McFaul, who worked in the Obama administration and served as America’s man in Moscow from 2012 to 2014, has become one of the most prominent public voices criticizing Trump for his Russia and national security policies.

Indictment of 12 Russians: Under the Shiny Wrapping, a Political Act

With great fanfare, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Friday released a 29-page indictment, a byproduct of the ongoing investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Ostensibly, this indictment cemented the government’s case against the Russians and punched a hole in the arguments of those, like President Trump, who have been labeling Mueller’s investigation a “witch hunt.” This, of course, is precisely what Rosenstein and Mueller hoped to achieve through their carefully timed, and even more carefully scripted, indictment.

Nervous, are we? Ex-ambassador McFaul on defensive over Russia’s wish to question him

Russian prosecutors have named the former US ambassador in Moscow as a person of interest in an investigation – and Michael McFaul appears to be quite unnerved. He seems to think Russian President Vladimir Putin is after him.

McFaul, who served as US envoy to Russia during Barack Obama’s presidency, proudly claims to be Putin’s personal foe. But now he is apparently pretty spooked about the possibility that the Russian leader took a personal interest in him and spoke about him with US President Donald Trump in Helsinki.

Of course, Russia gave McFaul some reason to stand up and take notice, naming him as a person of interest in its probe against financier-turned-anti-Russia crusader Bill Browder. A businessman who ran a lucrative hedge fund in Russia, Browder became an avid critic of the Kremlin. He says his years of lobbying against Russia were motivated by the death of a friend in a Russian prison.

BEX ALERT - US, UK Intel Wary of Russian 'Anti-Western' Ops After Helsinki Summit - Reports

Sources familiar with intelligence reports collected by the US, UK and other Western countries have made new vague claims about Russian plans to ramp up operations to destabilize Western governments.

Speaking to CNN, anonymous sources suggested that Moscow had cut down its intelligence operations in Western countries over the past weeks during the FIFA World Cup and ahead of Monday's summit between Presidents Putin and Trump, but was planning to renew its "anti-Western operations" now that the events are over.

Blue Origin launches, lands New Shepard spaceship

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' space transportation company, Blue Origin, successfully launched a New Shepard spaceship from its launch site in west Texas on Wednesday.

The rocket's booster and capsule were successfully recovered back at its launch site. This specific booster used has been now recovered for the third time, a key step in its drive to make reusable rockets, the company says.

The New Shepard rocket, which is designed to carry six passengers, blasted off from a launch site in Van Horn, West Texas and is the sixth successful launching and landing.

CrossTalk: Apocalyptic Reaction

Peaceful multicultural societies don’t exist, Dutch FM says in explosive leaked speech

Peaceful multicultural societies don’t exist and the EU won’t be able to force “equal” migrant distribution on Eastern Europe, where people of color are beaten to a pulp, the Dutch FM said according to a leaked video.

The explosive comments were delivered by Dutch Foreign Minister Stef Blok during a private meeting attended by some 80 people working for the Netherlands’ international organizations. Footage of Blok speaking to the audience via video link was leaked to the current affairs program Zembla on Wednesday, and the inflammatory remarks promptly spread through the Dutch media.

Apple ordered to repay record €13bn to cover unpaid EU tax

The European Commission ruled on Tuesday that "selective treatment" by Ireland allowed Apple to pay a tax rate of one percent on EU profits in 2003 down to 0.005 percent in 2014. The US company has been ordered to pay up to €13 billion to cover the unpaid tax.

“Member States cannot give tax benefits to selected companies – this is illegal under EU state aid rules. The Commission’s investigation concluded that Ireland granted illegal tax benefits to Apple, which enabled it to pay substantially less tax than other businesses over many years. In fact, this selective treatment allowed Apple to pay an effective corporate tax rate of one percent on its European profits in 2003 down to 0.005 percent in 2014,” said EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager EU in a press release before her speech.

Gallup Shows How Much Americans Really Care About The "Situation With Russia"

There's just one problem with the Democrats' unending focus on Russia and the media's constant collusion chatter: few Americans care, because - drumroll - they have real lives in the real economy to worry about.

As the latest survey from Gallup shows: when asked what the most important problem facing the nation is, Russia did not even warrant a 1% - and worse still, it is declining in importance from there.

What If Everything We’ve Been Told Is A Lie?

What if everything we’ve been told about 9/11 is a lie? What if it wasn’t 19 Muslim terrorist hijackers that flew those planes into the Twin Towers and Pentagon? What if the Muslims had nothing whatsoever to do with the attacks on 9/11? What if everything we’ve been told about the reasons we invaded two sovereign nations (Afghanistan and Iraq) is a lie? What if the 17-year-old, never-ending “War on Terror” in the Middle East is a lie? What if our young soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines who have given their lives in America’s “War on Terror” died for a lie? What if G.W. Bush, Barack Obama and Donald Trump have been nothing but controlled toadies for an international global conspiracy that hatched the attacks of 9/11 as nothing more than a means to institute a perpetual “War on Terror” for purposes that have nothing to do with America’s national security? Would the American people want to know? Would the truth even matter to them?

Whoopi Goldberg demands Homeland Security stage Trump intervention

As pundits across the US continue their descent into rage over President Donald Trump’s “treasonous” meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Whoopi Goldberg has called on Homeland Security to intervene.

Speaking on ‘The View’ on Monday, Goldberg and her fellow presenters competed to see who could be the most enraged about Trump’s behavior at the Helsinki summit with Putin.

John McCain’s daughter Megan got the most words in, addressing National Security Advisor John Bolton and the Trump administration. “Are you an America first, do you not believe in genocide? Or are you going to allow the chemical gassing of children right now?”

However, it was Godlberg’s call for the Department of Homeland security to step in that won out in the end.

Barack Obama: ‘Men Have Been Getting on My Nerves Lately’

Former President Barack Obama on Wednesday told young African leaders in Johannesburg, South Africa, that he would like to see more women enter the political fray because he is growing increasingly frustrated with men.

In a speech before 200 students at the African Leadership Academy, former President Obama lamented the frequency of which he sees reports of men behaving in a “violent” and “bullying” manner.

“Women in particular, by the way, I want you to get more involved,” Obama told attendees. “Because men have been getting on my nerves lately. Every day I read the newspaper, and I just think, brothers, what’s wrong with you guys? What’s wrong with us? I mean, we’re violent, we’re bullying. You know, just not handling our business.”

“So I think empowering more women on the continent … that right away is going to lead to some better policies,” he added.

SYRIAN WAR REPORT – JULY 19, 2018: SDF’S POLITICAL WING SEEKS TO NORMALIZE RELATIONS WITH DAMASCUS

On July 18, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said that their members, backed up by the US-led coalition, had captured 1,100km2, which included sixteen villages, from ISIS in the provinces of al-Hasakah and Deir Ezzor.

According to the SDF, four ISIS members were killed and four others were captured during the advance. One SDF member reportedly died. Additionally, the SDF captured a pickup truck, two heavy machine guns, a RPG-7 launcher, mines and ammunition. The provided numbers show that ISIS had shown almost no resistance to the advancing US-backed force.

A day earlier, on July 17, Ilham Ehmed, co-chairperson of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), a political wing of the SDF, announced that the SDC will open offices in the provinces of Hama, Homs, Latakia and in the capital of Damascus in the near future in a move allegedly aimed to propel negotiations between the SDF/SDC and the Damascus government.

Palestinian photographer reported killed in Syrian prison

A young Palestinian photographer who was disappeared following his arrest by Syrian secret police in Damascus in late 2015 has died in government custody, according to reports.

The Committee to Protect Journalists called on the Syrian government “to conduct an immediate and transparent investigation into the death of Niraz Saied.”

Saied’s longtime partner Lamis al-Khatib, who lives in Germany, stated on Facebook on Monday that “There’s nothing harder than writing these words, but Niraz doesn’t die in silence.”

Nidal Bitari, the managing director of the Washington-based group People Demand Change, told the Committee to Protect Journalists that Saied’s mother contacted a senior government official on 13 July and was told that Saied had been executed in September 2016.

Israel adopts divisive Jewish nation-state law

Israel passed a law on Thursday to declare that only Jews have the right of self-determination in the country, something members of the Arab minority called racist and verging on apartheid.

The "nation-state" law, backed by the right-wing government, passed by a vote of 62-55 and two abstentions in the 120-member parliament after months of political argument. Some Arab lawmakers shouted and ripped up papers after the vote.

"This is a defining moment in the annals of Zionism and the history of the state of Israel," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Knesset after the vote.
