US lifts ban on import of 'elephant trophies' from Zimbabwe

The US Fish and Wildlife Service under US President Donald Trump has decided to allow the remains of elephants hunted for sport in Zimbabwe to be imported into the United States, reversing a ban on such imports introduced in 2014.

Zimbabwe's elephants are listed as "threatened" under the US Endangered Species Act (ESA).

The service justified the change by saying the ban, imposed under former president Barack Obama, was based on limited information available at the time.

Zimbabwe Coup Leader Traveled to China One Week Before Arresting Mugabe

The key architect of the soft coup in Zimbabwe this week traveled to China and met with top military officials just days before the confusing and still-unfolding government shakeup, sparking speculation that Beijing may have played a role in the coup that has seen Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe placed under house arrest.

Let’s Stop Glorifying War

When’s the last time our media covered war honestly? When’s the last time you saw combat footage of American troops under fire, or of American troops killing others in the name of keeping us safe from enemies? When was the last time you saw an American soldier panicking, firing wildly, perhaps killing members of his own unit (fratricide) or innocent civilians caught in the crossfire of war? Maybe in the 1960s during coverage of the Vietnam War?

War is not glorious. It may feature noble deeds and remarkable sacrifices, but it also features brutality and many other bloody realities. War breaks men (and women) down. It does so because war is unnatural. Yes, war is many things, but it most certainly is about killing. Occasionally, the killing is even necessary. (Just ask those enslaved by the Nazis or the Japanese whether they greeted Allied troops as liberators.)

US Senator Inhofe 'Encouraged' by Zimbabwe Military’s Rejection of Mugabe

US Senator Jim Inhofe said on Wednesday he was encouraged by the reports of a "peaceful action by the Zimbabwean military to reject the brutal and restrictive dictatorship of President Mugabe".

"I am cautiously optimistic that the military’s apparent efforts to restore differing viewpoints to the government will be an important step in that journey," Inhofe said.

Inhofe Hopeful for Democratic Zimbabwe

U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe is hopeful the military takeover of Zimbabwe from President Robert Mugabe leads to a true democratic state for the beleaguered African country. Mugabe has been president since 1987. He is now under house arrest by the military, which is claiming its takeover of the government is not a coup. The move is likely to be challenged by the Southern Africa Development Community.

Zimbabwe: Emmerson Mnangagwa Named Interim Leader as Mugabe Deposed

Zimbabwe’s military says it has deposed President Robert Mugabe and first lady Grace Mugabe and has appointed recently ousted Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa as interim president. This comes just one week after President Mugabe ousted the vice president—who’s a close ally of Zimbabwe’s army chief. Witnesses reported seeing armored personnel carriers in the streets, with heavy gun and artillery fire in parts of the capital Harare. Zimbabwe’s military denied it had carried out a coup.

Zimbabwe coup general seizes airwaves, announces regime change

An anti-Mugabe sector of the army, led by General Constantine Chiwenga, has taken control of the main TV station in Harare, following threats that the military would take governmental matters in its own hands following Mugabe's dismissal of Vice-President Mnangagwa. Mnangagwa has tremendous pull with the military and with General Constantine Chiwenga, as he played a major role in the country's liberation wars. With mounting pressure on Mugabe from the west over the last decade and a half, it is unclear at this moment to what extent this plot also involves the United States. It is a complex situation to assess because while the US has stated its desire to remove Mugabe, inter-party disputes over succession are the apparent cause. Mugabe has not directly said that Mnangagwa is backed by foreign forces, only that he is 'ideologically' not 'solid'.

Military Coup Reportedly Under Way In Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is on edge amid speculation that a military coup is in progress, with army tanks seen outside the capital a day after the army commander threatened to "step in" to calm political tensions over the president's firing of his vice president. As you read today’s piece by historian and TomDispatch regular Alfred McCoy, author most recently of In the Shadows of the American Century: The Rise and Decline of U.S. Global Power, think of Afghanistan as the gateway drug for three Washington administrations.

Meanwhile, the whole question of opium eradication has, according to Mashal, gotten surprisingly "little attention in the Trump administration’s new strategy for the Afghan war." It seems that U.S. counter-narcotics officials have come to accept a new reality "with a sense of helplessness" – that the country now supplies 85% of the world’s heroin and there’s no end to this in sight.

Madagascar plague expert fears Black Death that has killed 140 people in Madagascar become untreatable and spread to the UK

Evidence mounts that PLAGUE outbreak in Africa is an engineered depopulation bioweapon

Thousands of people have been infected and over 143 are now reported dead from the plague outbreak that’s now threatening Africa, reports the UK Daily Mail. “Health officials are unsure how this year’s outbreak began,” reports the paper. “Experts warn the disease spreads quicker in heavily populated areas.”

Isn’t it interesting that just as Prince William is calling for “urgent depopulation efforts” in Africa, we suddenly have the rapid spread of the plague from unknown origins? As Natural News previously reported, Prince William appears to be pushing for depopulation efforts across Africa in the name of environmentalism:

“Africa’s rapidly growing human population is predicted to more than double by 2050 – a staggering increase of three and a half million people per month,” Prince William explained during a recent event hosted by the Tusk Trust, a charity that is committed to protecting African wildlife.

Plague fears grow as Malawi becomes tenth African nation put on alert for the spread of the killer disease

Malawi is bracing itself for an outbreak of the plague after the deadly disease continues to spread across the island nation of Madagascar.
At least 143 people have died and more than 2,000 others have been infected in Madagascar since an outbreak in early August this year.

Yet Malawi's health secretary confirmed the country is ready for any reported cases of the disease amid mounting concerns of Africa's 'porous borders'.
Dr Dan Namarika, principal secretary in the ministry of health, said the country were working in conjunction with Mozambique to help best prepare for a possible outbreak.

New 'Black Death' FOUND: Deadly virus WORSE than plague and with no CURE breaks out - WHO

The disease, known as Marburg virus disease (MVD), is similar to Ebola and can be lethal in up to 90 per cent of cases.

Emergency screening has begun at the Kenya-Uganda border in Turkana after three members of the same family died of the disease in Uganda.

Health workers have been asked to work with communities to stop the deadly Marburg outbreak from devastating communities in the rural region.

Dr Zabulon Yoti, Technical Coordinator for Emergencies at the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Africa, said: “Community engagement is the cornerstone of emergency response.”

He urged health officials to “work with the communities to build their capacity for success and sustainability” and develop a better understanding of the local customs and traditions.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Africa is one of the most under-exploited regions on the planet, harboring an incredible wealths of natural resources; I have to wonder if this was an accidental outbreak, or an attempt at depopulation to make the entire process of expropriation of those resources more cost-effective for the corporations (and the world's military protecting these processes) doing this.

I would also be interested in finding out if this version of Marburg has a genetic marker of any kind; Israeli scientists have been working on this kind of lethal bug for decades, to ultimately be used against Arabs and Palestinians, but which would be harmless to Israelis.

Yes, I am highly cynical; but the more I see of humankind's inhumanity to its brother and sister humans, there are moments when I just cannot keep up; and this is, potentially, one of those moments, if in fact the infection has been deliberately induced.

US Launches First Airstrike Against ISIS Fighters In Somalia

The Pentagon’s gradually escalating combat mission in Somalia reached another important milestone Friday - one of many that have occurred since the inauguration of President Donald Trump - when the military revealed that it had carried out the first airstrikes against Islamic State-linked fighters in Somalia.

The news comes as ISIS forces in Syria were driven out of their last remaining patch of territory as Syrian Army forces retook the eastern city of Deir Ezzor, inspiring even anti-Assad pundits to marvel at the Army’s advance against seemingly insurmountable odds.

A US official told the Associated Press the strikes were carried out in northeastern Somalia, with the first around midnight local time and the second later in the morning. The official was not authorized to discuss the mission publicly so spoke on condition of anonymity.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US government is in Somalia for the same reasons it is occupying large swathes of real estate in so many other countries; to regime change the government toward a US/Western-centric stance; to expropriate natural resources to which the US government has absolutely no moral right; and to insure that those resources are sold only in US dollars, and to countries of which we approve.

No real surprise here.

South Africa and Uganda called for the economic liberation of their countries and others on the continent following official tributes honoring the sacrifices of fallen African freedom fighters and pioneers of the struggle to liberate their lands from European colonization. “Someone is stealing from the African countries because the dominant forces, economic forces, in South Africa that kept Black people enslaved are still there,” said Kahinda Otaffire, Uganda's Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, TeleSUR reported. He added that amid rampant economic challenges facing many African governments, which have kept millions of people in abject poverty, the continent's natural and human resources continue to be exploited and plundered by foreign forces, a reality that continues to this day despite the assertion that Africa is liberated. “We have allowed the ideologically bankrupt to lead our communities,” Otaffire told the crowd, which included Ugandan and South African soldiers.

US Soldiers in Niger Were Left Behind in Evacuation

Officially, the US military never leaves troops behind. Secretary of State James Mattis even said literally this last week, in denying that a soldier might’ve been left behind in the October 4 Niger ambush, in which four US special forces were killed.

As details continue to emerge on the incident, however, it appears increasingly certain that Mattis hadn’t told the truth, with officials now saying that when French helicopters evacuated the US forces, they had lost contact with four US troops, and only evacuated seven out of 11 in the unit.

Hours later, they managed to return to recover the bodies of the three soldiers initially reported killed. The fourth soldier wasn’t found for another two days. That the troops left without contact with the four makes it uncertain if some might’ve been alive at the time, and died abandoned on the field.

Niger: Finally, A War John McCain Doesn’t Love

News first broke about America’s Niger misadventure on October 4. “The real news here is that the US has forces in Niger, where they’re conducting covert operations,” this writer tweeted out. “Hashtag America First.”

Official media ignored the ambush of the American Special Forces, until the story gained anti-Trump traction. No word came from John McCain. Three weeks hence, the senator from Arizona is making history. McCain, who has never encountered a war he wasn’t eager to prosecute, is questioning the folly in Niger.

The senator from Arizona can run but can’t hide from the pollution he has left along his political path. Republicans wisely rejected war in Kosovo; McCain jettisoned party loyalty to call for bombs from above and “more boots on the ground.” At the prospects of war with Iran, McCain burst into song, “Bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb-bomb-Iran.” The possibility still makes this war ghoul smile. Before that, McCain promised a 100-year war in Iraq.

Trump: ‘My Generals’ Authorized US Missions In Niger': I Gave Them Authority to Do What's Right'

In comments Wednesday regarding the recent revealed US military operation inside Niger, President Trump confirmed that he never personally authorized any of the mission, but rather that “my generals and my military” did that all on their own.

Trump insisted his generals “are great generals” and “I gave them authority to do what’s right” and he is confident that eventually “we’re going to win.” Trump added that he’s been finding out about the mission just like everyone else has.

Which seems like a huge problem, despite no one treating it like one. President Trump was apparently “informed” of Niger after the October 4 ambush when they realized one of the soldiers was missing, and Senate Armed Services

Webmaster's Commentary:

The stock answer as to why the US military is in Niger is "ISIS"; the real answer as to why the US military is in Niger has to do with its abundance of natural resources; expropriating them; and not letting Russia or China exploit them.

The Natural Resources of Niger

And that President Trump was not informed of the Niger operation until after the ambush had taken place, smacks of an absolutely cavalier lack of communications between his generals and President Trump.

To an ordinary person like myself, this is extraordinarily frightening, and could, potentially, put us into a would war which the President would be unable to stop, because he couldn't see it coming, due to the actions of these generals.

And beneath it, comes the following headline:

US Prepares Armed Drones for Lethal Strikes in Niger: Soldiers' Deaths Used to Pressure Niger Govt to Accept Strikes

The drone strikes will do precisely what they have done in places like Afghanistan; Pakistan; Somalia; Iraq; Yemen; and Syria; they will kill far more innocent civilians than the bad guys, then radicalize those who are left behind to become jihadists, and our troops' worst enemies, literally.

I am watching the feed on Fox News right now, seeing President selling his proposal to conquer the opioid addiction in this country; I have to wish that this country was not, collectively, so addicted to other countries' natural resources.

US Officials: Niger Is ‘Hub’ for US Operations in Western Africa

US officials describing the military operation in Niger, which only became public knowledge earlier this month after four US special forces were killed in an ambush, have not only revealed that nearly 1,000 US troops are on the ground in Niger, a massive force for the tiny country, but that this is the “hub” for US military operations in Western Africa.

Details on what exactly that means are scant, since the Niger military operation was basically a secret, and by extension so are all the other regional operations that we’re not being told about. Officials did assure reporters Niger has the most troops in the region.

Niger has hosted a US drone base for years, and about 100 troops were reported deployed in 2012. Somewhere between then and now, this increased ten-fold, and those troops started engaging in patrols. African Command says there are no armed US warplanes in West Africa at present, but that they rely on French warplanes.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We are in Niger for the same reasons US troops are garrisoned all over the world; to insure its government is western-centric; to expropriate resources to which those companies supporting both political parties have utterly no moral right; and to insure that those resources are only sold to countries of which the US government approves, and only in the US dollar.

This is also, by the way, an insurance against Russia and China getting hold of those resources before US companies do.

America's Scramble for Africa

The ugly row over whether President Trump disrespected the young widow of a fallen American soldier has overshadowed a bigger issue. That is, the increasing number of US military operations across the African continent.

Two weeks ago, Sgt La David Johnson (25) was killed along with three other US special forces troops when Islamist militants ambushed their patrol in the West African country of Niger. Trump got into hot water this week about reported offhand comments he made to the widow of Green Beret Johnson. The president denies he said anything disrespectful. Although the dead soldier's family says otherwise.

In all the media controversy over what Trump said or didn't say, questions about what US troops are doing in Niger are unfortunately overlooked. Not just Niger, but in dozens of other African nations.
It is reckoned from US army data that there are thousands of special forces and other military personnel carrying out up to 100 missions at any given time in some 24 African states.

What’s Going on in Niger? America’s Unspoken War against sub-Saharan Africa

Few Americans know anything about the country. They’re minimally knowledgeable geographically about nations only when Washington goes to war – testimony to public ignorance, a national disgrace in a nation where it’s simple to stay informed by following reliable independent online sources.

Niger is landlocked in central northwest Africa, nearly twice the size of France territorially. It’s the world’s fifth largest source of uranium, its fourth largest producer, reason enough for America’s presence.

Its other valued resources include coal, iron ore, tin, phosphates, gold, molybdenum, gypsum, salt and oil – with at least 40 billion barrels of proved reserves, perhaps multiples this amount, it’s believed, along with plentiful natural gas.

Niger became newsworthy with reports of militants killing four US special forces, the Pentagon saying little about what happened.

Senators ‘Stunned’ to Learn US Has 1,000 Troops in Niger

With Pentagon officials offering the first details on the Niger ambush incident, they also revealed details about the ongoing US war in Niger, including the revelation that there is an ongoing US war in Niger. Nobody seems to have known about it.

Especially not those whose job it is to know. Senate Armed Services Committee members confirmed they were “stunned” by the revelation, and had no idea that the US had upwards of 1,000 ground troops operating inside Niger.

Gen. Joe Dunford presented this military operation as being targeted at an ISIS affiliate inside Niger, and the suggestion is that the 2001 Authorization for the Use of Military Force (AUMF) in Afghanistan is serving as the legal justification.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And, while Congress is in its "stunned" mode, barking its innocence of this military confrontation, one might well ask them why the US government and military are enabling Saudi War Crimes in Yemen, which is an unfolding human catastrophe, featuring the assassination of innocents, including women and children; the starvation of the Yemeni people, courtesy of a joint US/Saudi blockade of Yemeni ports; and the increasingly horrific spread of (potentially weaponized) cholera in Yemen, about which no one can seem to do anything, because the country is so unstable.

PENTAGON USES NIGER AMBUSH TO BOLSTER AFRICOM MILITARY BUDGET

The October 4 ambush in Niger that killed four US Special Forces members forced the Pentagon to admit that they had been routinely carrying out ground patrols inside Niger, but African command (AFRICOM) may be cashing in on the incident.

With the revelation that there are US military operations ongoing in Niger and countless other countries, AFRICOM is noting that they’d requested a lot more military equipment than they got, and some of that might conceivably have come in handy during the ambush.

The US special forces were, after all, sent out in unarmored vehicles, with no air surveillance, and no way of evacuating if a problem happened. Instead of questioning why they sent troops into such dangerous circumstances in the first place, officials just say it proves they should’ve been given way more equipment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US military is in Niger for the same reasons the Occupied, Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika have military installations placed all over the world: to control iNiger's natural resources, and insure those resources are only sold for US dollars.

FLASHBACK 2014 - Niger fails to reach uranium mining deal with French nuclear firm Areva

Another deadline has passed without agreement in Niger in the government's ongoing negotiations with the French nuclear company Areva on the renewal of the company's license to operate in the country.

After months of discussions, the mining minister, Omar Tchiana, said last week that Friday would be the final deadline for the two sides to strike a deal. Now it has been agreed that talks will continue without a fixed deadline.

The negotiations are deadlocked on the issue of the royalties Areva pays Niger for the rights to two large uranium mines, Somair and Cominak in the arid north of the country. The terms of the original deal struck in the early 1970s have never been made public, but government sources say the company pays about 5.5% of its revenues in royalties. Niger wants the terms of a new mining code passed in 2006 to be implemented, which would force Areva to pay between 12% and 15% in royalties, and end a number of tax breaks on materials and equipment.

Webmaster's Commentary:

That may explain why the US is in Niger. It's a replay of Afghanistan.

Afghanistan wanted a high price for the oil and gas pipeline right of way. The oil companies decided it was cheaper to regime change Afghanistan!

No, Niger Isn’t ‘Trump’s Benghazi

this month something happened in Niger that’s happened countless times before in our 16-year war against jihadists: An allied patrol was lured into an ambush, and American soldiers died. Based on the early reports (the Washington Post has perhaps the most thorough summary), it was a particularly vicious firefight, and American troops were unusually vulnerable. They weren’t in armored vehicles, they didn’t have readily available air cover, and they even had to rely on contractors to evacuate the wounded. Tragically, one soldier was killed after getting separated from his unit during the fight, and it took two days to recover his body.

Make no mistake, there is much to investigate in this incident, and investigations are already underway. The mission itself was uncontroversial. Barack Obama first sent American troops to Niger to assist French military operations in Mali>>>

Secretary of Defense James Mattis provided a Capitol Hill briefing about the deadly ambush in Niger that took the lives of four U.S. troops – and the emerging details describe a chaotic encounter with inadequate support.

Mattis briefed Armed Services Chairman Sen. John McCain, who was so upset by the lack of information that he threatened to issue a subpoena.

A congressional source briefed on the mission called it a 'massive intelligence failure,' NBC reported.

Plague is Starting in Africa

Panic has ensued in Madagascar where a recent outbreak of the plague has claimed the lives of at least 24 people. Prime Minister Olivier Mahafaly Solonandrasana has announced a ban on all public gatherings and demonstrations in effect until the outbreak can be contained.
The plague is a deadly disease caused by the Yersinia pestis bacteria. It usually begins as the bubonic plague, which is spread from small mammals (such as rats) and fleas to humans. If detected early, the bubonic plague can generally be treated and controlled with antibiotics and proper environmental measures. However, half of all reported cases in Madagascar are the pneumonic plague –- the deadliest form of the disease.

The pneumonic plague is transmitted person to person. Since this form of the plague is airborne, it spreads extremely rapidly and can have catastrophic consequences. Those who contract the pneumonic plague must be treated immediately as it can be fatal within less than 24 hours of onset.

Webmaster's Commentary:

If you have been to, or from, Madagascar recently, please go to your local health provider and get tested, and possibly pre-emptively treated.

If you have even been thinking about going to Madagascar for any reason, please don't, until this has been irradicated.

Identities of Three US Green Berets Killed in Niger Released, Fourth Found Dead

On Wednesday, ten to 12 Green Berets were accompanying a patrol of Nigerien forces about 120 miles north of the capital city of Niamey. They came within 20 miles of the Mali border, whereupon approximately 40-50 assailants attacked. AQIM is one of several militant groups currently in revolt against the Malian government.

The ambush was successful, killing four Green Berets and five Nigerien troops. Gunships from France, which runs their own military operations in Mali, arrived at the scene and dispersed the ambushers. Three Green Beret deaths were confirmed by the Pentagon almost immediately, with the fourth announced on Friday.

Slain US Troops Were Told Niger Area Was ‘Low-Risk’

US “training” operations in Niger took a turn for the deadly on Wednesday, when three US soldiers were killed, and two others wounded in an ambush by unspecified “enemies” near the Niger-Mali border. These are the first US combat deaths recorded in Niger, with another US soldier killed in a vehicle accident earlier this year.

The incident is raising a lot of questions, however, because US commanders had been telling everyone involved that the patrols were “low risk” and that there was little hostile activity in the area.

Now officials are trying to figure out what happened, and whether patrols became so predictable that the troops in the country made themselves a target in the area. For now, even who carried out the attack is subject to speculation.

Webmaster's Commentary:

These troops were lied to, about the risk factor of their deployment here: their COs should have been much more forthright with them, about the real dangers they were facing.

National armies are the "hired guns" of major corporations, colluding with the governments which are their willing "errand boys", in order to expropriate foreign natural resources, to which they have no moral right, and make sure that those resources are only sold in specific currencies.

This is precisely what the US government is looking to do in Niger.

3 American soldiers killed, 2 wounded in ambush in Niger

Three US Special Forces troops were killed and two wounded in an ambush while on a joint patrol with Nigerien forces in southwest Niger, US Africa Command confirmed in a statement.

“On Oct. 4, three (3) US service members and one partner nation member were killed while the US was providing advice and assistance to Nigerien security force counter-terror operations, approximately 200 km north of Niamey, in southwest Niger. Additionally, two US service members were injured and evacuated in stable condition to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany,” the statement reads.

Webmaster's Commentary:

And why, pray tell, are American troops in Niger?!?

They are in Niger for the same reason as all the other US deployments around the world: to insure that Niger's government stays Western Centric, and that it's natural resources are expropriated and sold only for American dollars.

How to Bring Down the Elephant in the Room

First, a painful, but needed, clarification:

For some this bumping will happen earlier in the list, for others a little later down the list, but the list will be more or less the same for everybody. Proper etiquette, atleast in the West, would want to make us run away from this topic. I won’t. Why? Well, for one thing I am constantly accused of not discussing this elephant. Furthermore, I am afraid that the role this elephant is playing is particularly toxic right now. So let me try to deal with this beast, but first I have to begin with some caveats.

CHINA CONDUCTS FIRST EVER LIVE FIRE MILITARY DRILL IN ITS FIRST OVERSEAS MILITARY BASE IN AFRICA

The Chinese military has for the first time staged live-fire drills at the country's first overseas base opened recently in the Horn of Africa, near the strategic Straits of Hormuz in Djibouti.

Less than two months after inaugurating and deploying troops to China's first foreign naval military base abroad, the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLA) held live-fire drills for the first time in this east African location on Friday, the South China Morning Post reported on Monday.

China’s first overseas military facility was inaugurated on August 1 after being under construction for more than a year. China’s military presence in Djibouti will continue until 2026, with a contingent of up to 10,000 soldiers. Beijing has long wanted to use its several footholds in Africa to seek closer ties with nations on the continent that could help it gain access to natural resources and provide new markets.

Nigeria cholera outbreak threatens more than 1 mln people in refugee camps

At least 1.4 million people uprooted by Boko Haram's insurgency in northeast Nigeria are living in 'cholera hotspots', prey to an outbreak of the deadly disease which is sweeping through camps for the displaced, the United Nations said on Thursday.

An estimated 28 people have died from cholera in the conflict-hit region, while about 837 are suspected to have been infected with the disease, including at least 145 children under the age of five, said the U.N. children's agency (UNICEF).

The outbreak was first identified last week in the Muna Garage camp in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, which is the heart of jihadist group Boko Haram's brutal eight-year campaign to carve out an Islamic caliphate in northeast Nigeria.

About 1.8 million people have abandoned their homes because of violence or food shortages, U.N. agencies say, and many live in camps for the displaced throughout northeast Nigeria.

Webmaster's Commentary:

This, like the cholera epidemic in Yemen, is an absolute catastrophe.

Stockholm on Lockdown As Police Officer Stabbed in Neck By Moroccan Youth

It is reported the assailant snuck up behind the officer and cut his neck. The attack has been called completely unprovoked in Swedish media.

While the officer was conscious and able to sit up on his own as the ambulance arrived. He was discharged from the hospital Thursday afternoon having sustained only minor injuries.

The attack comes just hours after Swedish police were the subject of another potentially deadly attack Thursday morning, again in Stockholm. Officers were called to a bogus burglar alarm in a suburb to the south of the city, and upon arriving instead of finding a householder in distress, their car was pelted with heavy stones from a 10th floor flat in a tower block.

One of the officers, a police dog handler came close to being killed when his vehicle was struck, reports Expressen. Police were able to raid the apartment and arrested one for attempted murder, but a second suspect remains on the run.

Exclusive: mind-boggling FDA confession about the smallpox vaccine

The big story is buried in the FDA press release. Here is the Agency’s statement:

“Serious health problems, including those that are life-threatening, can also occur in…people who…have problems with their heart or immune system if they become infected with the [smallpox] vaccine virus, either by being vaccinated or by being in close contact with a person who was vaccinated.”

The FDA states that those with certain prior health conditions who pick up the smallpox virus, as a result of vaccination, are at exceptionally high risk. AMONG THOSE PRIOR HEALTH CONDITIONS IS: “IMMUNE SYSTEM PROBLEMS.”

That simply means weak and compromised immune systems.

And yet…during the years 1966-1980, a massive smallpox eradication campaign was carried out in Africa, under the auspices of the World Health Organization. Roughly 100 million doses of the smallpox vaccine were given to Africans, MANY OF WHOM ALREADY HAD COMPROMISED IMMUNE SYSTEMS.

US Raid Killed Civilians, Not Militants: Somalia Army Chief

A Friday morning raid by US and Somali troops in Barire village left at least 10 civilians dead, including three children. This incident was initially reported by the deputy governor of the region, and confirmed over the weekend by Somalia’s Army Chief.

Army Chief Ahmed Jimale Gedi told reporters he was “shocked” by the incident, and attributed it to distrust on both sides. The Somali government had formally dismissed the report Friday, claiming everyone slain was al-Shabaab militants.

The government’s refusal to admit what happened is an ongoing problem, with the provincial deputy governor confirming that the families have placed the bodies of the slain in storage, and are refusing to bury them until the national government admits what happened and agrees to pay compensation.

I ASKED THE U.S. MILITARY FOR ITS LEAFLETS ABOUT JOSEPH KONY. IT SIDESTEPPED THE REQUEST, THEN BURNED THEM.

“JOSEPH KONY Est Mort,” reads a leaflet bearing the murderous Central African warlord’s visage and the message, in French, that he has died.

Over the last six years, the United States invested the better part of $1 billion to make that statement a reality. America sent military advisers, set up bases, gathered intelligence, and funded and equipped local proxies across the region in an effort to kill or capture Kony and destroy his Lord’s Resistance Army, a militia that has committed atrocities since the 1980s. The U.S. military even created that flier to tout Kony’s death and sent reams of them to a shadowy outpost in the Central African Republic where they sat, waiting for the day they could rain down from the sky. Now that leaflet — and that dream — have gone up in smoke.

US, Somali Troops Execute 10 Civilians, Including Children, in Village Raid

US and Somali troops attacked the farming village of Barire early Friday morning, capturing a group of ten civilians and summarily executing them one at a time. Locals brought the bodies, including three children, to the capital of Mogadishu to protest the incident.

Deputy Governor of Lower Shabelle Ali Nur Mohammed blamed the US forces, saying that they rounded up the farmers working in the fields, then “one by one” shot them, saying that all the slain were unarmed civilians.

US African Command confirmed that US troops were “supporting” the Somali operation, but offered no details. They confirmed being aware of reports of civilians being killed and promised an “assessment” of the matter.

MUGABE SAYS ZIMBABWE "WILL NOT PROSECUTE KILLERS OF WHITE FARMERS"

93-year-old Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe made it clear in an address this week that people who murdered white farmers during a government-sanctioned purge in the 2000s will never be prosecuted.

In 2000, Zimbabwe implemented a controversial land reform program that saw squatters invade and seize hundreds of white-owned farms around the country. As Newsweek details, the violent seizures resulted in the murder of several white farmers, with many more displaced, and close associates of Mugabe given large chunks of land.

And now, speaking at a rally in Harare, Mugabe confirmed this massacre will go unpunished, according to Zimbabwean news site NewsDay.

The U.S. Military Is Cozying Up to Sudan, of All Countries: A genocidal regime is America's newest possible ally

The United States seems to be working toward courting an unexpected ally in its operations in Africa. On Aug. 9, 2017, Alexander Laskaris — an American diplomat that works for the U.S. military’s Germany-based Africa Command — visited Sudan for a series of meetings with military and diplomatic officials.

The visit comes amid a gradual move toward warmer relations. In March 2016, the Sudanese government reopened the military attache’s office in its U.S. embassy after a 28-year gap. Around the same time, Washington named a military attache for its own embassy Khartoum. And in April 2017, a delegation of Sudanese military officials met with AFRICOM in Stuttgart.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Why not cozy up to a genocidal regime, when the US has been raining down genocide in Yemen, along with Saudi Arabia, and supporting the government of Bahrain and the Al Khalifa monarchy, which are torturing and jailing the Shia members of their population for wanting a constitutional monarchy?!?

Hey, if it is anything the Unhinged, Surveilled States of Amerika know how to do , it is how to commit genocide!!

But, I digress. Let's look at a map of Sudan:

Map of Sudan with surrounding countries

This would be a very convenient, centralized place in which the US military might want to build a number of installations, with eyes all of of Sudan's neighbors, which include: Egypt; Libya; Chad; Eritrea; Democratic Republic of Congo; Kenya; and Ethiopia.

But there must be something more than just location; as reported at Wikipedia:

"Petroleum is Sudan's major natural resource. The country also has significant deposits of chromium ore, copper, iron ore, mica, silver, gold, tungsten, and zinc."

I would think that this sudden US "warming" toward Sudan has a two-fold purpose; as a strategic location for US military sites in Africa, and the control of Sudan's oil and mineral capabilities.

The Tragic State of Whites in South Africa

Nearly every new policy introduced by government, (in 90% of the occasions with the support by the main opposition, the Democratic Alliance) bears witness of its anti-white, anti-Christian agenda. Over the past two decades, Marxist Government Policies such as Affirmative Action, or Black Economic Empowerment. have forced thousands of competent whites out of the labor market. The official unemployment figure among whites in South Africa, almost nonexistent prior to 1994, has risen to almost 10% today. Just under 1 in 5 white South Africans now live in poverty. White property owners are permanently haunted by continual threats of disownment in the name of “land redistribution,” and about 19 million acres of formerly white property has already been “redistributed” by the black government over the past 21 years.

AFRICAN CHILDREN PAY THE PRICE FOR “CLEAN GREEN” ELECTRIC CAR BATTERY TECHNOLOGY

Goldman Sachs, the merchant bank, calls cobalt ‘the new gasoline’ but there are no signs of new wealth in the DRC, where the children haul the rocks brought up from tunnels dug by hand.

Adult miners dig up to 600ft below the surface using basic tools, without protective clothing or modern machinery. Sometimes the children are sent down into the narrow makeshift chambers where there is constant danger of collapse.

Cobalt is such a health hazard that it has a respiratory disease named after it – cobalt lung, a form of pneumonia which causes coughing and leads to permanent incapacity and even death.

Even simply eating vegetables grown in local soil can cause vomiting and diarrhoea, thyroid damage and fatal lung diseases, while birds and fish cannot survive in the area.

Nations Substitution': Witnessing the 'Biological Extinction' of Europeans

Some European countries, namely Italy, Germany, France and the UK, are facing the so-called "substitution of nations," where the national ethnical majority is disappearing physically and biologically, and is being substituted by migrants, according to a recent report. Sputnik Italy discussed the issue with Daniele Scalea, the author of the report.

The recent report of the Italian-based Machiavelli Center of Political and Strategic Studies (Centro studi politici e strategici Machiavelli), "How immigration is changing Italian demographics" has revealed that a number of European countries are facing the "biological and physical extinction" of their national ethnicities.

Ethnic majorities in such countries as Italy, Germany, France and the UK, are gradually turning into ethnic minorities, while being "substituted" by incoming migrants.

Strip-Mining The World

A gigantic mine engages in every conceivable destructive practice—strip mining, heap leaching, tailings dams and ponds and so on. It pays such low wages its workers only make ends meet by borrowing from the company at usurious rates. The mine has befouled the air and poisoned the water. Many workers are chronically sick and their children are afflicted with birth defects. The mine’s absentee owners know that the mine is played out and the tailings dam is structurally unsound. They close the mine, count their profits, and move on. A month later the dam gives way. A deluge of noxious sludge inundates the town below the dam, sparing no one and rendering the area uninhabitable.

The government is a strip mining operation, plundering the dwindling residual value of a once wealthy America. Forget ostensible justifications, policy is crafted to allow those who control the government to maximize their take and put the costs on their victims, leaving devastation in their wake.

CAMEROONIAN TROOPS TORTURED AND KILLED PRISONERS AT BASE USED FOR U.S. DRONE SURVEILLANCE

Troops in the West African nation of Cameroon have tortured prisoners at a remote military base that is also used by U.S. personnel and private contractors for drone surveillance and training missions.

As the U.S. military has fortified the Cameroonian site, known as Salak, and supported the elite local troops based there, the outpost has become the scene of illegal imprisonment, brutal torture, and even killings, according to a new investigation by The Intercept and the Goldsmiths, University of London-based research firm Forensic Architecture, based on extensive research by Amnesty International. Nearly 60 victims held at Salak described to Amnesty International how they were subjected to water torture, beaten with electric cables and boards, or tied and suspended with ropes, among other abuses.

Webmaster's Commentary:

The US military absolutely cannot tolerate the practice of torture anywhere it functions on this planet, period, end of discussion.

When the US either tortures, or outsources, or ignores torture where it operates, the following happens; people around the world rightly understand that Americans have utterly no concern regarding human rights or human dignity, when it comes to prisoners of war; they don't care that the information is not actionable, and is simply stated to get the torture to stop; and it gives carte blanche to anyone around the world to torture American military and civilian personnel.

Back during World War II, there was an interrogator, Hanns Scharff, who only used kindness as his MO. Because of his effectiveness, humanitarianism, and his gentleness, he was so respected by the US that he was brought over to the US to lecture to the American military about interrogation.

I sincerely wish that the US military would consistently abide by this man's code of ethics; but then again, he was a truly civilised human being, for whom the ends did not justify the means.

European Parliament Votes to Allow EU Aid to Be Spent on Third World Militaries

The proposal to change the so-called Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace (IcSP) — an EU fund worth US$2.62 billion (€2.3 billion), charged with disbursing money for peace-building activities in conflict-ridden developing countries is avowedly part of the European Commission's "capacity building in support of security and development" initiative.

The proposals have been engulfed in legal controversy since their launch by the Commission in 2016. While the European Commission claims the move would strengthen the EU's ability to shore up state institutions in countries whose development has been hindered by violence, critics claim it's a covert attempt to divert financial resources away from traditional aid projects, to the EU's increasingly embattled military operations in sub-Saharan Africa.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I absolutely side with the critics on this one.

Africa is one of the most resource-rich, relatively unexploited continents on the face of this earth; therefore, Europe, just as does the US and China, wants to expropriate those resources, to which it has absolutely no moral right; make sure the regimes in these countries are Western-centric; and that these resources are only sold to specific countries, and only sold in Euros.

These European military operations in sub-Saharan Africa get little or no press here in the States; they should.

FLASHBACK - GEORGE SOROS STYLE DESTABILIZATION OF SOUTH AFRICA

A top member of South Africa’s ruling social democratic party says that the United States is trying to foment regime change in his country, and that Washington must clarify the “irregular activities” of some of its diplomats there.

“There seems to be irregular activities coming from the US Embassy,” Keith Khoza, a spokesman for the African National Congress Party, said.

The ANC will relay its concerns to Washington through diplomatic channels, he said.

Zimbabwe 2.0: South Africa President Proposes Land "Expropriation Without Compensation"

With every passing day the formerly booming nation of South Africa is getting ever closer to the formerly banana republic of Zimbabwe.

On Wednesday, South Africa's ruling African National Congress proposed at its 5th annual national policy conference that in addition to potentially nationalizing the country's central bank, that land expropriation without compensation should be allowed where it is "necessary and unavoidable," President Jacob Zuma said.

Ordinary South Africans are meanwhile keeping close tabs on the policy conference, adamant that the ANC come up with solutions to overcome deep poverty, the uncontrollable rise in unemployment and inequality.

The ANC should once again become "the party that people voted for so many years ago," says Mbali Nyando, lamenting that 22 years into democracy, the living conditions of the people, black people in particular, are "deteriorating rather than improving."

Webmaster's Commentary:

I predicted this turn of events many years ago; and the problem is, without education on how things work, this expropriation of businesses and land cannot possibly work. It is doomed to be an epic fail, worsening the situation in South Africa to the point where there well be a revolution against the ANC, because it has not delivered to its people, in over 22 years.

AS AMERICANS CELEBRATE INDEPENDENCE, US BOMBS YET ANOTHER SOVEREIGN NATION

In the midst of festivities leading into Independence Day, the U.S. opportuned the distraction to bomb yet another sovereign nation in the name of fighting terrorism, launching airstrikes against al-Shabaab militants rebelling against the U.N.-backed Somali government headed by U.S. citizen, President Mohamed Abdullahi “Farmajo” Mohamed.

These strikes on Sunday follow the granting of expanded powers to U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) by President Trump earlier this year, and seems to be the second of its kind.

“We are currently assessing the results of the operation, and will provide additional information as appropriate,” AFRICOM spokesman Chuck Prichard asserted Monday.

Following the airstrikes, AFRICOM spokesman Patrick Barnes also noted, “U.S. forces remain committed to supporting the federal government of Somalia, the Somali National Army and our AMISOM partners in defeating al-Shabab and establishing a safe and secure environment in Somalia.”

Nigeria will pass US as third most populated country by 2050

The world's population is growing.. and quickly!

In just the next seven years, India, which now has 1.3 billion people is expected to overtake China as the most populous country in the world.

According to a United Nations report, by 2050, Nigeria, now the seventh largest country is projected to pass the U.S. population of around 326 million people as the third most populated.

Director of the Economic and Social Affairs' Population Division, John Wilmoth says, "The population in Africa is notable for its rapid rate of growth, and it is anticipated that over half of global population growth between now and 2050 will take place in that region."

The U.N. forecasts that the following nine countries will see most of that growth: India, Nigeria, Congo, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, United States, Uganda and Indonesia.

Qatar’s conflict with neighbours can easily set Horn of Africa alight

It began as a squabble between Arab allies, but the standoff between Qatar and its neighbours is threatening to engulf the Horn of Africa. When Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen and the Maldives declared at the beginning of June that they were severing diplomatic relations with Qatar it appeared to be of interest mainly to the Arabian Peninsula – and the Gulf in particular.

The Saudis and their allies accused Qatar of backing international terrorism. The US, which has the Al Udeid air base in Qatar, looked askance, but did little more than use its good offices to try to ensure that the war of words did not flare into an open conflict.

But the countries just across the Red Sea have found themselves dragged into the dispute. After prevaricating for some time, Eritrea, which had hitherto good relations with Qatar, fell into line with the Saudis and broke ties with Qatar.

REPORT: LEAST PEACEFUL NATIONS ON EARTH WERE ALL GIVEN ‘DEMOCRACY’ BY THE US

The United States has a pattern of pushing for regime change in sovereign nations, while ignoring the consequences. One major result from the list of countries the U.S. has invaded this century is that they make up the top of the “least peaceful” nations in the 2017 Global Peace Index.

The 2017 Global Peace Index is another reminder that the United States’ seemingly endless pattern of pushing for regime change in sovereign nations that have done nothing to the U.S. has indeed resulted in a significant amount of blowback—most of which will be misrepresented, if not ignored by the mainstream media.

Pentagon Uses New Authority to Strike Somali Terrorist Outpost

The U.S. military used the expanded authority President Donald Trump granted to the Pentagon in March to strike a terrorist outpost in Somalia on Sunday, officials said.

Together with Somali partners, the Pentagon used a drone to target a command and control and logistics hub 185 miles southwest of Mogadishu — the nation’s capital — to kill multiple fighters with al-Shabab, a terrorist organization aligned with al-Qaeda, according to the Pentagon.

The outpost was described by a military official as a mid-level operation, not a high value target.

According to Pentagon Chief Spokeswoman Dana W. White, the bombing was in response to al-Shabab’s recent attacks on the Somali military and used the new authority the Department of Defense received from Trump.

Webmaster's Commentary:

We are told, by the presstitutes, that the US military is in Somalia to, allegedly "fight terror".

However, the painfully honest reasons for the US intervening in Somalia are the same for all other US military interventions; to regime change a government if it is not to the US government's liking (or protect it, if it is); expropriating that country's resources to which neither the US government, nor its minion multinational corporations have any moral right; and make sure that those resources are only sold in American dollars.

And if you don't believe me, please take a good, long look at the following article from indexmundi.com:

West Africa seeking 50 million euros from EU for anti-Islamist force

The countries of West Africa's Sahel region are requesting 50 million euros ($56 million) from the European Union to help set up a multinational force to take on Islamist militant groups, Mali's military chief said on Saturday.

ISIS RECRUITER WHO RADICALISED LONDON BRIDGE ATTACKERS WAS PROTECTED BY MI5

The terrorists who rampaged across London on the night of 3 June were part of a wider extremist network closely monitored by MI5 for decades. The same network was heavily involved in recruiting Britons to fight with jihadist groups in Syria, Iraq and Libya.

Police have confirmed that Khuram Shazad Butt, Rachid Redouane and Youssef Zaghba were the three terrorists shot dead after participating in a brutal van and knife attack in the London Bridge area.

According to press reports, both Butt and Redouane were longstanding members of the proscribed extremist network formerly known as al-Muhajiroun. After 9/11, the group operated under different names such as Shariah4UK, Muslims4Crusades and Islam4UK. Originally founded by Lebanese firebrand, Omar Bakri Mohammed, who was banned from returning the UK after the 7/7 attacks, the network was later run by Bakri’s deputy, Anjem Choudary.

RED FLAGS, MISSED

Webmaster's Commentary:

Then why were British intelligence and police unable to stop this from happening?!?

The biggest question now, is, cui bono?!? Who benefits from allowing terrorists to strike at random in the UK?!?

Let's just say that those in the bowels of power in the UK, fronted by Prime Minister May, have benefited greatly, and see their wish of putting the internet under total government control coming nearer;
THERESA MAY TO CREATE NEW INTERNET THAT WOULD BE CONTROLLED AND REGULATED BY GOVERNMENT; The British Deep State has passed a bill to abolish cryptography; Cryptography killed by back-door legislation; and wants to toss human rights laws that hurt terror suppression. Theresa May rip up human rights laws which impede new terror legislation.

And how does one accomplish creating fertile ground in the minds of the British voters to accept such draconian laws which may be shaping up here?!?

It is very simple; by allowing terror to happen, then using the dead and wounded bodies as a "bloody shirt" to wave at the crowds, while you are demanding these changes in the law.

And Prime Minister May, a word here, please; the kinds of legislation you have both passed, and are proposing, will not alleviate
the kinds of terror attacks under which the UK, and Europe, have been suffering.

When the countries from which many of these refugees come have been regime changed, generally through war, and those wars have left them with absolutely no power over their own personal and national destiny; when people have been broken, by the sheer depth and breadth of their dispossession, courtesy of countries like the US and UK, which have a pretty dismal track record of accusing a country of doing something it didn't; invading and regime changing that country in order to expropriate resources to which they have utterly no moral right, such individuals are ripe for radicalisation and violence.

You, and the rest of the British government, must understand that to expect otherwise is both disingenuous, and very dangerous for your people, as recent events have proven.

The biggest resource that your country, and the US, want to control, are energy resources in the Middle East and Africa.

And here is my proposal, which is guaranteed to ratchet down your, and my, country's eternal lust for controlling fossil fuels.

Both countries have some of the best scientists and engineers in the world; I suggest that the US and UK develop an energy consortium, and challenge scientists and engineers from both countries to develop workable, alternative energy solutions, then patent the result and sell it, dividing the resources equitably, and making sure that the universities which were the brain trust on this get handsomely compensated for their efforts.

Both your and my countries can do this; if there is a will, there is a way, Madam Prime Minister.

But if there is no push toward such a solution, the world will know that random terror attacks in the UK and beyond are, in your perspective, "just the cost of doing business" in your country's militant resource-scrambling and extraction around the world.

EU agrees to hand over £43MILLION to fund new counter-terrorism force in Africa

EU chiefs have agreed to dish out a whopping £43 million (€ 50 million) to fund a new African joint military force as part of a counter terrorism offensive.

In a bid to combat jihadist groups active in the Sahel region, the EU pledged to fund a force made up of troops from Mauritania, Mali, Chad, Burkina Faso and Niger – known as the Sahel G-5.

The force will also attempt to tackle trafficking networks and illegal migration in the region.

In the Mali capital Bamako, Federica Mogherini, the EU’s foreign policy chief, said: “Stability and development of the Sahel region are crucial not only for Africa but also for Europe.”

Abdoulaye Diop, Mali’s foreign minister, said on Monday the new force would have some 10,000 soldiers and police officers and would become operational by the end of the year.

Webmaster's Commentary:

Natural Resources: Mauritania

Natural resources: Mali

Natural Resources: Chad

Natural Resources: Burkina Faso

Natural Resources:
Niger

In looking at the above information, it is impossible to conclude that this alleged "war on terror", courtesy of the EU, is not actually a war for resources, in this "embarrassment of riches" area of Africa, located in the Sahel

The pattern here is painfully clear. Invade; regime change those governments not to their liking; expropriating resources to which the EU has utterly no moral right; and making certain those resources are only sold in specific currencies, and only sold to specific countries.

And the lot of the countries, and people, which will experience this resource theft, courtesy of the EU?!?

I would suggest that their quality of life will be much worse than they are experiencing today. After all, take a good, hard look at those countries the US has invaded, like Iraq; Libya; Afghanistan, and Somalia; what happened there will most probably be repeated in the Sahel.

But of course, for Brussels, it's "profits uber alles, baby!!", and who cares about the "collateral damage" against those who actually live in those countries about to get stripped and financially raped for their wealth?!?

The Crusades When Christianity Pushed Back after Four Centuries of Being Attacked: Charles "The Hammer" Martel

The year is 732 A.D., and Europe is under assault. Islam, born a mere 110 years earlier, is already in its adolescence, and the Muslim Moors are on the march.

Growing in leaps and bounds, the Caliphate, as the Islamic realm is known, has thus far subdued much of Christendom, conquering the old Christian lands of the Mideast and North Africa in short order. Syria and Iraq fell in 636; Palestine in 638; and Egypt, which was not even an Arab land, fell in 642. North Africa, also not Arab, was under Muslim control by 709.

The only thing the Frankish and Burgundian European forces have going for them is their leader, Charles of Herstal, grandfather of Charlemagne. He is a brilliant military tactician who, after losing his very first battle, is enjoying an unbroken 16-year streak of victories.

FBI KNEW SALMAN ABEDI WAS PLOTTING ATTACK & WARNED UK WHO TOOK NO ACTION TO STOP IT

The massive Western police state, that is seemingly expanding at an exponential rate, is there to protect us — or so we are told. However, all the spying, phone call intercepts, spied on emails, facial scanners, CCTV cameras, and loss of freedoms did not stop Salman Abedi from murdering innocent people by detonating a bomb inside the Manchester Arena. What’s more, as we are now finding out, British intelligence was warned ahead of time that Abedi was plotting a terror attack in the UK — and they did absolutely nothing to stop it.

Several months before this terrorist blew himself up at the Ariana Grande concert, FBI agents are said to have to have informed British officials that the 22-year-old was part of a North African Islamic State cell based in the north west of England that was plotting an attack in the UK, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

Webmaster's Commentary:

It appears that the deep British state wanted something like this to happen, in order to enforce Prime Minister May's draconian desire to control the net; ban cryptography; and support British sympathies for further British military interventions in Africa and the Middle East.

The death of a Navy SEAL reveals US mission creep in Somalia

It hasn't happened since the infamous Black Hawk Down battle in 1993.

Last month, a US soldier was shot and killed fighting in Somalia. Reports indicate the Navy SEAL was serving alongside his Somali counterparts — not advising from the operating base — as they battled al-Shabab militants.

New York Times correspondent Jeffrey Gettleman has covered Somalia for more than a decade, and writes about it in his new book, “Love, Africa: A Memoir of Romance, War, and Survival.”

Gettleman is skeptical of Washington's official explanation that dozens, perhaps hundreds of US soldiers are in Somalia simply to offer advice.

"Many of us suspect this is not simply advise and assist, that American troops are fighting toe-to-toe with al-Shabab militants," he explains. "The fact that a Navy SEAL was just killed in combat in a spray of bullets fired at a vehicle pretty much confirms what we had always suspected."

Webmaster's Commentary:

Our military are obviously not in Somalia as "advisors"; they are there as soldiers, fighting Al-Shabab militants.

And why is the US military in Somalia?!?

Here...is the answer.
Somali natural resources

The tired cycle repeats; regime change the government to one which is western-centric; expropriate that country's resources to which the US government and its corporate minions have absolutely no moral right; and insure that those resources are only sold in US dollars.

This is why the US military is in Somalia, period, end of discussion.

Upping the Bloodshed: Ukraine Breaches Embargo to Fuel South Sudan Civil War

The United Nations has accused Ukraine of defying an international embargo on South Sudan, supplying the country with weapons and exacerbating a growing humanitarian crisis in the process. It is unclear whether the European Union will take action, given the bloc's desperation to integrate the country into its folds.

In Imvepi, northern Uganda, men, women and children queue for food and water of questionable drinkability in the intense heat of the north-east African sun, at a hastily constructed refugee camp. These unfortunate individuals have all fled — mostly on foot — across the South Sudan border, escaping ever-burgeoning bloodshed in their home country. The causes of the conflict are manifold, pitting government forces against opposition elements and split across tribal lines.

Webmaster's Commentary:

I see this as brilliantly hypocritically ironic on the part of the UN, to condemn Ukraine for providing weapons to South Sudan, while not condemning the US for providing a $350 million dollar weapons deal to Saudi Arabia, with which that country will perfect its genocide in Yemen, and ultimately, fight a proxy war for the US and Israel against Iran.

The UN's silence, when it comes to human rights violations, can be bought at a price; apparently, with Saudi Arabia and the US, that price has been met.

The U.S. is waging a massiveshadow war in Africa, exclusive documents reveal

Six years ago, a deputy commanding general for U.S. Army Special Operations Command gave a conservative estimate of 116 missions being carried out at any one time by Navy SEALs, Army Green Berets, and other special operations forces across the globe.

Today, according to U.S. military documents obtained by VICE News, special operators are carrying out nearly 100 missions at any given time — in Africa alone. It’s the latest sign of the military’s quiet but ever-expanding presence on the continent, one that represents the most dramatic growth in the deployment of America’s elite troops to any region of the globe.
